1. Revealing the Landscape of Privacy-Enhancing Technologies in the Context of Data Markets for the IoT: A Systematic Literature Review

Abstract

IoT data markets in public and private institutions have become increasingly relevant in recent years because of their potential to improve data availability and unlock new business models. However, exchanging data in markets bears considerable challenges related to disclosing sensitive information. Despite considerable research focused on different aspects of privacy-enhancing data markets for the IoT, none of the solutions proposed so far seems to find a practical adoption. Thus, this study aims to organize the state-of-the-art solutions, analyze and scope the technologies that have been suggested in this context, and structure the remaining challenges to determine areas where future research is required. To accomplish this goal, we conducted a systematic literature review on privacy enhancement in data markets for the IoT, covering 50 publications dated up to July 2020, and provided updates with 24 publications dated up to May 2022. Our results indicate that most research in this area has emerged only recently, and no IoT data market architecture has established itself as canonical. Existing solutions frequently lack the required combination of anonymization and secure computation technologies. Furthermore, there is no consensus on the appropriate use of blockchain technology for IoT data markets and a low degree of leveraging existing libraries or reusing generic data market architectures. We also identified significant challenges remaining, such as the copy problem and the recursive enforcement problem that-while solutions have been suggested to some extent-are often not sufficiently addressed in proposed designs. We conclude that privacy-enhancing technologies need further improvements to positively impact data markets so that, ultimately, the value of data is preserved through data scarcity and users' privacy and businesses-critical information are protected., Comment: 49 pages, 17 figures, 11 tables

4. Revealing the State of the Art of Large-Scale Agile Development Research: A Systematic Mapping Study

Abstract

Context: Success with agile methods in the small scale has led to an increasing adoption also in large development undertakings and organizations. Recent years have also seen an increasing amount of primary research on the topic, as well as a number of systematic literature reviews. However, there is no systematic overview of the whole research field. Objective: This work identifies, classifies, and evaluates the state of the art of research in large-scale agile development. Method: We conducted a systematic mapping study and rigorously selected 136 studies. We designed a classification framework and extracted key information from the studies. We synthesized the obtained data and created an overview of the state of the art. Results: This work contributes with (i) a description of large-scale agile endeavors reported in the industry, (ii) a systematic map of existing research in the field, (iii) an overview of influential studies, (iv) an overview of the central research themes, and (v) a research agenda for future research. Conclusion: This study portrays the state of the art in large-scale agile development and offers researchers and practitioners a reflection of the past thirteen years of research and practice on the large-scale application of agile methods.

Abstract

Background/aim: In this prospective study, we aimed to investigate the association of serum (s) and urine (u) IP-10, galectin-9, and SIGLEC-1 with disease activity in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Materials and methods: Sixty-three patients with active SLE (31 renal, 32 extrarenal) were included. Thirty patients with inactive SLE (15 renal, 15 extrarenal), 17 with renal active AAV, and 32 healthy volunteers were selected as control groups. Serum and urine IP-10, galectin-9, and SIGLEC-1 were tested using ELISA. Results: Levels of sIP-10 (p = 0.046), uIP-10 (p < 0.001), sGalectin-9 (p = 0.03), and uSIGLEC-1 (p = 0.006) were significantly higher in active SLE group compared to the inactive SLE; however, no differences were detected in the comparison of uGalectin-9 (p = 0.18) and sSIGLEC-1 (p = 0.69) between two groups. None of the biomarkers discriminated patients with active renal SLE from active extrarenal SLE. ROC analyses revealed an AUC of 0.63 (0.52--0.73) for sIP-10, 0.78 (0.68--0.86) for uIP-10, 0.64 (0.53--0.74) for sGalectin-9, and 0.68 (0.57--0.77) for uSIGLEC-1 in discriminating disease activity in SLE, which did not outperform C3 (0.75, 0.64--0.84) and C4 (0.72, 0.61--0.82). sIP-10 (p = 0.001), uIP-10 (p = 0.042), and uGalectin-9 (p = 0.009) were significantly increased in patients with active renal SLE compared to active renal AAV. sGalectin-9 (p < 0.001) and sIP-10 levels (p = 0.06) were decreased after 8 (5--22.5) months of treatment. Conclusion: sIP-10, uIP-10, sGalectin-9, and uSIGLEC-1 reflect global disease activity in SLE but do not outperform C3 and C4. sIP-10 and uIP-10 may be specific for active SLE compared to active AAV. sIP-10 and sGalectin-9 might be valuable in monitoring response after treatment. 24. Low Versus Standard Dose of Rituximab in Adult Patients with Relapsed or Refractory Primary Membranous Nephropathy: Does It Make Any Difference?

Abstract

Objective: Optimal dose of rituximab is still under debate in patients with primary membranous nephropathy, particularly who suffer from relapsed or refractory disease. We, therefore, analyzed the efficacy of low versus standard doses of rituximab in these patients. Methods: Thirty-six consecutive patients with primary membranous nephropathy and characterized by proteinuria ≥3.5 g/24h despite at least 6 months of prior conservative and immunosuppressive therapy were included. Rituximab was administered in 2 different protocols: low dose (n = 20, 55.5%) (2 weekly doses of 375 mg/m²) and standard dose (n = 16, 44.4%) (4 weekly doses of 375 mg/m²). Primary outcome was defined as complete remission or partial remission. Results: One patient who died due to sepsis caused by pneumonia shortly after rituximab and 1 who developed anaphylaxis during his first infusion were excluded from efficacy analyses. Overall, 34 patients were followed up for a median duration of 15.5 (interquartile range: 6-23.25) months after treatment. Nineteen (55.8%) patients experienced primary outcomes; among these, 12/18 (66.6%) were in low-dose group as compared to 7/16 (43.75%) in standard dose. The percentage of patients who underwent remission was similar in 24-month Kaplan–Meier analysis (P = .393). Five patients (27.7%) in low-dose group had a relapse, whereas no patients in standard dose group relapsed throughout the follow-up (P = .022). Carcinoma of the tongue developed in a patient, and 2 patients died due to sepsis caused by pneumonia. Conclusion: Low and standard doses of rituximab showed similar efficacy in patients with relapsed or refractory primary membranous nephropathy, albeit lower doses were associated with more relapses. Abstract

Mimari tasarım sürecinde taşıyıcı sistem seçimi ve düzenlemesi (konfigürasyonu) betonarme binaların deprem davranışlarını önemli derecede etkilemektedir. Çünkü oluşan depremlere karşı betonarme binaların emniyetli ve ekonomik olarak başarımları özellikle mimari tasarım sürecindeki tasarım kararları ile sağlanabilmektedir. Bu husus mimari tasarım sürecindeki tasarım kararlarının ve doğru taşıyıcı sistem seçimi ve düzenlemesinin oldukça önemli olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır.Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, betonarme binalarda seçilen döşeme tipinin binaların deprem performansları ve kaba inşaat maliyeti üzerindeki etkilerini farklı yerel zemin sınıfları için karşılaştırmalı olarak incelemektir.Bu amaçla yapılan bu tez çalışması toplam beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde genel bilgiler verilmekte ve betonarme döşemelerle ilgili daha önce yapılmış olan bazı çalışmalar üzerinde durulmaktadır. İkinci bölümde, betonarme binalarda kullanılan döşeme sistemlerine ilişkin bazı bilgiler özetlenmektedir. Üçüncü bölümde, bu tez çalışmasının sayısal uygulamalarında kullanılacak olan betonarme bina modellerine ilişkin bilgiler ve tasarım parametreleri verilmektedir. Dördüncü bölümde ise dikkate alınan betonarme bina modellerinin Sta4-Cad programı yardımıyla yapısal çözümlemeleri gerçekleştirilmektedir. Ayrıca, yapısal çözümlemelerden elde edilen bulgular ve irdelemeler bu bölümde yapılmaktadır. Beşinci bölümde ise çalışmanın bütününden çıkartılan başlıca sonuçlar ve öneriler verilmekte ve bu son bölümü kaynaklar dizini izlemektedir.Bu tez çalışmasından elde edilen sonuçlar, özellikle düşey taşıyıcı yapısal elemanlar (kolonlar) dikkate alındığında, kirişli döşemeye sahip olan bina modelinin diğer döşeme tiplerine sahip bina modellerine göre daha emniyetli olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, kirişli döşeme hariç diğer döşeme tiplerinin betonarme binaların deprem performanslarını azalttığını ve kaba inşaat maliyetini arttırdığını göstermektedir. Bu husus deprem bölgelerinde inşa edilecek betonarme binalarda kirişli döşemelerin tercih edilmesinin emniyet ve maliyet açısından daha uygun olacağını ortaya koymaktadır. In the architectural design process, the selection and arrangement (configuration) of the load-bearing system affect significantly the earthquake behaviours of the reinforced concrete buildings. Because the performances as safe and economical of reinforced concrete buildings against the formed earthquakes can be provided with design decisions in the architectural design process. This matter reveals that of the design decisions in the architectural design process and the selection and arrangement of the right load-bearing system are quite important.The main purpose of this study, the effects on the earthquake performances and the rough construction cost of the buildings of the slab type chosen in reinforced concrete buildings are to examine comparatively for different local soil classes.With this purpose, this thesis study consists of total five chapters. In the first chapter, general information is given, and some studies conducted previously concerning with the reinforced concrete slabs are emphasized. In the second chapter, some information about slab systems used in reinforced concrete buildings is summarized. In the third chapter, information and design parameters relating to the reinforced concrete building models to be used in numerical applications of this thesis study are given. In the fourth chapter, the structural analyses of the reinforced concrete building models considered is carried out with the help of the Sta4-Cad program. In addition, the findings and evaluations obtained from structural analyses are made in this section. In the fifth chapter, the main results and suggestions extracted from the whole of this study are given and this last chapter is followed by the list of references.The results obtained from this thesis study have been determined that the building model having slabs with beams is safer compared to other types of slabs, especially when considering the vertical bearing structural elements (columns). It also shows that other types of slab, except for slab with beams, reduce the earthquake performances of reinforced concrete buildings and increase the cost of rough construction. This matter reveals that the preference of beamed slabs in reinforced concrete buildings to be constructed in earthquake zones would be more appropriate in terms of safety and cost. 80

Abstract

Objective: In this retrospective study, we aimed to identify factors associated with increased thrombotic risk by comparing primary (P) or systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) associated antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) patients with vascular thrombosis (VT) or pregnancy morbidity (PM). Methods: Demographics, clinical and laboratory characteristics of 169 patients with APS (73 PAPS and 96 SLE+APS) were obtained from the patient database. IgG and IgM isotypes of anticardiolipin and anti- β2-glycoprotein I (aβ2GPI) antibodies were measured by ELISA and lupus anticoagulant was measured by aPTT and dRVVT tests. The patients were classified as VT only, PM only or VT+PM according to their clinics. The adjusted global APS score (aGAPSS) was calculated for each patient. Results: 47.3% of the patients had VT only, 20.1% had PM only and 32.5% had VT+PM. Fifty-nine patients had only from arterial thrombosis, 53 venous thrombosis, 21 had both and 2 patients had microvascular thrombosis. While antiphospholipid antibody profile did not differ between VT only and PM only groups, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and smoking were more prevalent in the VT only group (50.0% vs 17.6%, p=0.001; 45.0% vs 23.5%, p=0.02; 28.8% vs 11.8%, p=0,04, respectively). The prevalence of hypertension and hyperlipidemia was also higher in patients with arterial thrombosis only compared to those with venous thrombosis only (57.6% vs 32.1%, p=0.006; 54.2% vs 32.1%, p=0.015, respectively). Conclusion: Our results suggest that patients with thrombotic APS have a significantly higher frequency of cardiovascular risk factors and control of these may help to lessen the risk of thrombosis, especially arterial one. In modern times, traditional enterprises are confronted with rapidly changing customer demands, increasing market dynamics, and continuous emergence of technological advancements. Confronted with the imperatives of a digital world, companies are striving to adopt agile methods on a larger scale to meet these requirements. In recent years, enterprise architecture management has established itself as a valuable governance mechanism for coordinating large-scale agile transformations by connecting strategic considerations to the execution of transformation projects. Our research is motivated by the lack of empirical studies on the collaboration between enterprise architects and agile teams. Against this backdrop, we present a multiple-case study of five leading German companies that aims to shed light on this field of tension. In today's business environments, organizations are confronted with rapid technological advancements, regulatory uncertainties, and time-to-market pressures. The ability to detect relevant changes and to react timely and effectively becomes an important determinant for business survival. As a result, companies are striving to adopt agile methods on a larger scale to meet these requirements. The adoption of agile methods at scale poses new challenges such as inter-team coordination and communication, balancing intentional and emergent architecture or coordinating various development activities to produce desirable enterprisewide effects. The latter can be addressed by applying architecture principles and guidelines. However, there is a lack of academic research on how architecture principles can be created and applied in large-scale agile development. Abstract

Amaç: Kompleman sistemi (C) ile tümör nekroz faktörü-alfa (TNFa), sistemik lupus eritematozus (SLE) ve antifosfolipid sendromunda (AFS) önemli mediatörlerdir. Çalışmamızda SLE/AFS'li gebelerde, C aktivasyonu ile TNFa'nın fetal/maternal prognozla ilişkisini inceledik. Yöntem: SLE/AFS'li gebelerin serumlarında (s) C3b, C5, TNFa düzeyleri (ELISA) belirlendi. Plasentalarının histopatolojik incelemesi yapıldı; C4d ve TNFa ile boyanmaları değerlendirildi. Gebelik seyir ve sonuçları ile ilişkileri saptandı, kontrol gruplarıyla karşılaştırıldı. Bulgular: SLE/AFS'li gebeler (n=37), SLE/AFS'li gebe olmayanlar (n=15), sağlıklı gebeler (n=15) ve sağlıklılardan (n=14) oluşan dört grup analiz edildi. SC3b ortalama değeri ve pozitiflik oranı SLE/AFS gebelerde; SLE/AFS gebe olmayanlara, sağlıklı gebelere ve sağlıklılara göre daha yüksekti (tümü için p<0,05). SLE/AFS'li gebelerde en sık morbiditeler gebelik kaybı (%18,9) ve preeklampsi (%16,2), en sık aktivasyon nefrit (%30,5) ve trombositopeniydi (%19,44). Preeklampsi gelişenlerde sTNFa pozitifliği anlamlı derecede yüksekti (%43 vs. 11, p<0,05); C5a ve C3b ise istatistiksel anlamlılığa erişmese de bu grupta fazlaydı. SLEDAI-2K ortalaması belirtilen biyomarkerların pozitif/negatif olduğu gruplar arasında anlamlı farklılık sergilemedi. sTNFa pozitifliği ile nefrit ve trombositopeni arasında anlamlı ilişki saptandı (p<0,05). Yenidoğanların (YD) %56,7'si preterm iken, %36,7'sinde intrauterin gelişme geriliği (İUGG) saptandı. SLE/AFS'de sağlıklı gebelerden daha düşük YD doğum ağırlığı, boy ve APGAR skorları mevcuttu. Plasental C4d ve TNFa ile boyanma SLE/AFS gebelerde sağlıklı gebelerden yüksek ve şiddetliydi (p<0,001). Preeklampsi, HELLP ve gebelik kayıplarında boyanma pozitiflik ve şiddeti fazla olsa da istatistiksel anlamlılığa erişemedi. Desidual vaskülopati (en sık; %85), desidual enflamasyon, villöz enfarkt SLE/AFS'li gebe plasentalarında, sağlıklı gebelerinkine göre daha fazlaydı (p<0,001). Belirtilen bulgular preeklampsi, İUGG, YDYB ihtiyacı olanlarda anlamlı derecede fazlaydı (p<0,001). Lupus antikoagülanı olanlarda desidual enflamasyon ve C4d boyanması anlamlı derecede fazlaydı (p<0,05). Sonuç: Bulgularımız SLE/AFS'li gebelerde TNFa ve kompleman sisteminin aktivasyonunu serum ve özellikle plasenta düzeyinde göstermekte ve olumsuz gebelik seyir ve sonuçlarıyla ilişkisini desteklemektedir. 37. Tek merkez antifosfolipid sendromu kohortunda Budd Chiari sendromlu hastaların özellikleri ve prognozu.

Abstract

Amaç: Budd Chiari sendromu (BCS) hepatik venöz drenajının obstrüksiyonuyla ortaya çıkar. Çalışmamızda kliniğimizin APS kohortundaki BCS'li hastaların özelliklerini ve prognozunu belirlemeyi amaçladık. Yöntem: APS kohortunda BCS geliştiren hastalar belirlenerek özellikleri analiz edildi; sağkalımları belirlendi. Bulgular: Demografik, klinik ve görüntüleme bulguları Tablo 1 ve 2'dedir. Kohortta (n=235) 14 BCS tespit edildi. Başvuru bulguları karın ağrısı (%71,4), assit (%42,9), karaciğer enzim yüksekliği (%21,4), karın ön duvarında kollateral (%14,3) ve sitopeniydi (%7,1). En sık etkilenen damar hepatik vendi (%85,7). Yüzde 50'sinde üçlü pozitif antifosfolipid antikor (aPLA) profili mevcuttu. Kalıtsal trombofili açısından 7 hasta taranmış, 2'si Faktör V Leiden heterozigot bulunmuştu. Kriter dışı bulgulardan en sık trombositopeni (%50), hemolitik anemi (%35,7), kalp kapak tutulumu (%28,6), böbrek tutulumu (%21,4) vardı. Bir hasta gebelikte, 2'si post-partum erken dönemde BCS geliştirmişti. En sık komplikasyon batın içi şant (%92,9) takiben assit (%50), varis (%42,9) ve hepatik ensefalopatiydi (%14,3). İmmünsüpresif (SLE+) ve antikoagülan tedavilerin yanı sıra diüretiğe refrakter assiti olan 1 hastada transjuguler intrahepatik portosistemik şant (TIPS) uygulanmış, 10 senelik takibinde herhangi bir komplikasyon gelişmemişti. BCS geliştiği sırada antikoagülan kullanan 6 hastadan 1'inin inefektif, ikisinin 2-2,5 INR'si olduğu, üçünün tedavi dozu düşük moleküler ağırlıklı heparin kullandığı saptandı. Yedi sekonder APS'nin ikisinde BCS sırasında hastalık aktivitesi mevcuttu. Kaybedilen 5 hastadan 1'inin renal biyopsi sonrası masif kanama, 4'ünün abdominal kaynaklı sepsis nedeniyle kaybedildiği belirlendi. Beş, 10 ve 20 yıllık sağkalım sırasıyla %92, %76 ve %40 idi (Şekil 1). Tromboz riskini gösteren modifiye global antifosfolipid sendrom skoru (aGAPSS) ve APS hasar skoru (DIAPS) BCS'li hastalarda diğer venöz trombozlulara göre daha yüksekti (p<0,05). Sonuç: BCS APS zemininde gelişebilir, ilk prezentasyonu olabilir ve mortalitesi yüksektir. Özellikle antikor profili yüksek riskli olan hastalarda abdominal şikayetler ve karaciğer enzim yüksekliği BCS'yi düşündürmelidir. BCS'de gelişen intraabdominal enfeksiyon önemli bir ölüm nedenidir. Etkin antikoagülasyon sağlanması ve SLE eşlik edenlerde hastalık kontrolü önemlidir. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
