Abstract

Objective: Improve the quality and efficiency of fruit quality sorting and reduce labor costs. Methods: A fruit quality sorting machine is designed to detect and sort for fruit quality. The sorting machine uses STC8A8K64S4A12 as the slave computer and uses Jetson Xavier NX as the master computer. The sorting machine can achieve the detection and sorting of the fruit on damage and sugar content by artificial intelligence. Results: The accuracy, resolution of sugar degree and speed of the sorter for detecting fruit were 99%, 0.1% and 7 200 h-1, respectively. Conclusion: The device can not only avoid fruit damage and fruit drop caused by mechanical equipment, but also has a simple operation and friendly interface. The designed equipment can meet the requirement of fruit quality sorting.

Abstract

Many theoretical and experimental investigations have presented a conclusion that evanescent electromagnetic modes can superluminally propagate. However, in this paper, we show that the average energy velocity of evanescent modes inside a cut-off waveguide is always less than or equal to the velocity of light in vacuum, while the instantaneous energy velocity can be superluminal, which does not violate causality according to quantum field theory: the fact that a particle can propagate over a space-like interval does preserve causality provided that here a measurement performed at one point cannot affect another measurement at a point separated from the first with a space-like interval., Comment: 12 pages, 1 figure, to be published in Physical Review A

Abstract

The lack of effective early diagnostic markers is an obstacle in clinical diagnosis and treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) is an increasing popular approach for identification of clinically relevant parameters including biomarkers. 540 subjects, including 274 HCC, 119 liver cirrhosis, 89 hepatitis, and 58 healthy volunteers were enrolled. MALDI-TOF MS was used to select potential novel biomarkers from serum of HCC patients. Its clinical application was evaluated by experiments and clinical data analysis. We identified Thymosin β4 (Tβ4) in serum by MALDI-TOF MS. The expression of Tβ4 was detected up-regulating in HCC cells and tissues which enhanced motility of HCC cells. More important, the level of serum Tβ4 was significantly elevated in HCC patients. The AUROC showed the optimum diagnostic cut-off was 1063.6 ng/mL, ROC and 95% CI of Tβ4 (0.908; 0.880–0.935) were larger than that of serum AFP (0.712; 0.662–0.762; p < 0.001). The sensitivity (91.3% vs 83.1%) and specificity (81.2% vs 20.3%) of serum Tβ4 were higher than alpha-fetoprotein (AFP). In AFP-negative HCC, the sensitivity could reach to 80.5%. ROC analysis showed serum Tβ4 had a better performance compared with AFP in distinguishing early-stage and small HCC. Tβ4 is correlated with TNM stage (p = 0.016) and vascular invasion (p = 0.005). Survival analysis indicated the survival time of Tβ4 positive patients was shorter (p < 0.001). Cox analysis suggested Tβ4 could be an independent factor for HCC prognosis. Abstract

Micro-fine spherical alumina (Al2O3) powders with mean diameters of 7, 30 and 75 μm have been synthesized by the SY119-30kW radio frequency induction plasma spheroidization system. The effect of main operating parameters on spheroidization process was investigated. The results show that different axial positions of the injection probe strongly influence the effectiveness of the spheroidization treatment and Z=12.9 cm is the best position for Al2O3 spheroidization process as it is the middle of coil center for this spheroidization system. The obtained powders with smooth surface exhibit fantastic sphericity and preferable density. The spheroidization efficiency of synthesized powders is almost 100% at feeding rate of 65 g/min with the chamber pressure of 0.079 MPa. In addition, the chamber pressure is also the vital factor that influences the fabrication process and it should be coordinated with the carrier gas flow rate. The phase compositions characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) shows the same results under different sheath gas (Ar or N2) conditions. Furthermore, the purity of the fabricated powders is improved after high temperature spheroidization treatment.

Abstract

Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) are cancer cells shed from either the primary tumor or its metastases that circulate in the peripheral blood. The CTCs are regarded as the source of tumor recurrence and metastasis and speculated as the indicators of residual tumors, thereby indicating a poor prognosis. Although CTCs play a vital role in tumor metastasis and recurrence, little is known about the underlying survival mechanisms in the blood circulation. The accumulating evidence has revealed that CTCs might survive in the peripheral blood by overcoming the mechanical damage due to shear stress, resistance to anoikis, evasion of immune destruction, and resistance to chemotherapy. The present review addresses the putative survival mechanisms underlying the formation and migration of CTCs according to their biological characteristics and blood microenvironment. In addition, the relationship between CTCs and microenvironment is illustrated, and the influencing factors related to the interactions of CTCs with various components in the peripheral blood are reviewed with respect to the platelets, immune cells, cytokines, and circulating tumor microemboli (CTM). Furthermore, the recent advances in the new treatment strategies targeting the survival mechanisms of CTCs are also discussed.

Abstract

Encapsulated cholesteric liquid crystal(CLC) film is prepared by means of polymerization induced phase separation(PIPS) method.The electro-optical properties of encapsulated CLC on glass and plastic substrates have been studied in detail,mainly focusing on the driving voltage,reflection and contrast ratio.It shows that no matter on glass or plastic substrate,the encapsulation contributes to improving the display contrast,though the driving voltage accordingly increases.In comparison with the glass substrate,the driving voltage of the encapsulated CLC on the plastic substrate increases from 70 V to 200 V,while the contrast ratio arrives to 6.2∶1.In conclusion,our present goal has been achieved on flexible display based on CLC.

Aimed at the actuality of coal mine risk management, this paper discussed the primary factors which affected technical support system of coal mine risk management, and established a technical support system of coal mine risk management to recognize and analyze risks during the process of coal production by using the method of risk management and system engineering based on the current safety problems of Pingdingshan Colliery Group . Meanwhile, we also developed a technical support system software of coal mine risk management and applied it in the technical support system of coal mine risk management in related mines. This system was able to make every risk in control and achieved good results and safe production.

Abstract

ABSTRACTObjective: To explore a method for culturing hepatocellular carcinoma and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (HCC-TIL) and investigate the mechanism of TIL in killing tumors.Methods: The distribution of regulatory T cells (Treg) in HCC was detected by immunohistochemistry. Conventional TIL and oligoclonal TIL were isolated by the traditional method of enzyme digestion combined with mechanical treatment for whole HCC and micro HCC tissue block culturing method. MTT was used to compare the killing activity of TIL. Flow cytometry was used to analyze the proportion of CD8+T cells and Treg cells in TIL. Tumor-bearing mice were established, and TIL adoptive immunotherapy was performed.Results: Treg cells were mainly distributed in the stroma of HCC. In vitroexperiments showed oligoclonal TIL had higher cytotoxicity to tumor cells which negatively correlated with the proportion of Treg cells. In vivoexperiments showed oligoclonal TIL had a higher anti-tumor effect. IFN-γ in peripheral blood and the positive rate of intratumoral lymphocytic infiltration in oligoclonal TIL group were both higher. TGF-β and IL-10 in peripheral blood and the positive rate of intratumoral FoxP3 and IL-17 were both lower than those in conventional TIL group.Conclusion: The oligoclonal TIL culture method could obtain TIL with higher purity, and cytotoxicity to tumor cells was associated with Treg cells. The oligoclonal TIL had cytotoxicity to autologous HCC cells and significant inhibitory effect on the growth of transplanted tumors. The mechanism might be associated with the inhibition of Treg cells proliferation, increase of IFN-γ secretion, and decrease of TGF-β, IL-10, and IL-17 secretion.

With the fast development of IT, Internet Banking(IB) has become an important component of our daily life, and the research on IB consumer behavior has also become a hotspot in both theoretical and practical aspect. Based on TPB which analyze consumer behavior from atittude to behavior, subjective norm and perceived behavior control, the paper analyzed consumer’s atittude to IB adoption(AIBA)’s determinants from IB service quality(IBSQ), customer perceived value(CPV) and customer perceived risk(CPR). We hoped to provide marketing or management suggestions to commercial bank’s IB development and tried to make a new development about TPB.

With the development of computer technology and the ubiquitousness of the Internet, Internet Banking (IB) has become more popular among Chinese consumers. However, due to constraints on its adoption and the size of the Chinese market, there is still scope for significant IB adoption Focusing on Chinese IB market conditions and the features of consumers, this paper analyzes the determinants of consumers' IB adoption based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). It employs Structural Equation Modelling to explore the factors that influence IB use, from Attitude to IB Adoption (AIBA), Subjective Norms (SN) and Perceived Adoption Behavior Control (PABC).
