The soaking process of glutinous rice allows the growth and reproduction of microorganisms, which can easily cause food safety problems. In this work, the effects of different ultrasonic powers (150 W, 300 W, 450 W, and 600 W) on the bactericidal effect of glutinous rice, the physicochemical properties of starch and the quality characteristics of sweet dumplings were studied. Compared with soaking for 0 and 2 h, sonication of glutinous rice after soaking for 4 h was more effective at reducing the number of microorganisms in soaked glutinous rice, and the bactericidal effect increased with increasing ultrasound intensity. After 30 min, the total number of bacteria decreased by 2.04 log CFU/g. Moreover, ultrasonic treatment destroys the grain structure of glutinous rice starch, resulting in the formation of dents and cracks on the starch surface, increasing the amylose content, improving its expansion, reducing its short-range order and relative crystallinity, and altering its gelatinization characteristics. In addition, ultrasonic treatment increased the soup transparency of sweet dumplings from 51.8 % to 63.95 %, reducing their hardness, chewiness and adhesiveness. In summary, ultrasonic treatment can not only effectively kill microorganisms in soaked glutinous rice but also improve the quality of glutinous rice dumplings by changing the physicochemical properties of glutinous rice starch. The results of this study provide theoretical support for the application of ultrasonic technology in glutinous rice food production.

Hermetia illucens (HI) meal is a promising substitute for fish meal (FM) in the feeds of farmed fish. However, the impacts of dietary HI meal on largemouth bass (LMB) remain unknown. In this study, we formulated three isonitrogenous and isolipid diets with 0% (HI0, control), 20% (HI20) and 40% (HI40) of FM substituted by HI meal. A total of 270 juvenile largemouth bass with an initial body weight of 10.02 ± 0.03 g were used (30 fish per tank). Abstract Memristors are a candidate device for artificial neural systems due to their excellent conductance‐regulation ability and potential to simulate the characteristics of biological synapses. This study fabricated a Pt/TaOx/TiOy/Ti analog artificial synapse memristor that exhibits excellent multilevel storage property with a large on/off ratio of ≈660 times. The dynamic resistive switching mechanism is well expounded and validated by the reset stopping voltage dependent Schottky fitting results. Moreover, the essential biological synaptic characteristics such as long‐term potentiation/depression (LTP/D) and paired‐pulse facilitation (PPF) are successfully mimicked with a low pulse energy consumption of 12.69 nJ. A neuromorphic network constructed on the enhanced symmetry and linearity of conductance for this Pt/TaOx/TiOy/Ti memristive device can achieve 92.45% accuracy in recognizing handwritten pattern. These results demonstrate a significant potential for application Pt/TaOx/TiOy/Ti memristor in non‐volatile memory and bioinspired neuromorphic systems.

Objective: An analysis method for simultaneous determination of 59 kinds of chemical drugs illegally added in herbal tea by micro-QuEChERS method combined with ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric (UPLC-MS/MS) was established. Method: The samples were extracted by ultrasonic extraction from acetonitrile solution for 5 min and salted out with sodium chloride (NaCl) and anhydrous sodium sulfate (Na2SO4). Supernatant was purified with C18 sorbent and separated on a ACQUITY HSS T3 column (100 mm×2.1mm, 1.8 μm) by gradient elution using a mixture of 0.01% formic acid and acetonitrile:methanol (8:2) as the mobile phase. Then the analytes were quantified by UHPLC-MS/MS in multiple reaction monitoring mode (MRM) via positive and negative electrospray ionization quantified by external standard method. Result: The coefficient of determination of the standard calibration curves for the 59 analytes were all above 0.9990. The limit of detection (LOD, S/N≥3) and the limit of quantitation (LOQ, S/N≥10) were 5.0~10.0 and 10.0~25 μg/L. At three spiked of 25.0, 50.0 and 100.0 μg/L, the average recoveries of 59 analytes were 60.3%~128.8% (n=6) with the relative standard deviations in the range of 1.0%～13.7%. Conclusion: The method developed was simple, sensitive, and had good purification effect. It could be applied for the rapid determination of 59 chemical drugs illegally added in herbal tea.

In this paper, a new method is proposed and verified to eliminate the non-ideal resonance caused by DGS application in GCPW by adding via holes to reduce electromagnetic leakage. By adding a dense through-hole array around the dumbbell DGS can form an electrical wall to confine the electromagnetic to the central conductor. The test results show that the non-ideal resonance is eliminated after adding the through hole and a wide stopband from 16.1 GHz to 17.8 GHz with rejection larger than 20 dB. A double-dumbbell bandpass filter was successfully designed with this tech eliminating the non-ideal resonance at 8.053 GHz and 14.232 GHz. The results show that this structure can effectively eliminate the irrational resonance caused by electromagnetic leakage.

Parkinson’s disease is typically characterized by the progressive loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta. Many studies have been performed based on the supplementation of lost dopaminergic neurons to treat Parkinson’s disease. The initial strategy for cell replacement therapy used human fetal ventral midbrain and human embryonic stem cells to treat Parkinson’s disease, which could substantially alleviate the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease in clinical practice. However, ethical issues and tumor formation were limitations of its clinical application. Induced pluripotent stem cells can be acquired without sacrificing human embryos, which eliminates the huge ethical barriers of human stem cell therapy. Another widely considered neuronal regeneration strategy is to directly reprogram fibroblasts and astrocytes into neurons, without the need for intermediate proliferation states, thus avoiding issues of immune rejection and tumor formation. Both induced pluripotent stem cells and direct reprogramming of lineage cells have shown promising results in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. However, there are also ethical concerns and the risk of tumor formation that need to be addressed. This review highlights the current application status of cell reprogramming in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, focusing on the use of induced pluripotent stem cells in cell replacement therapy, including preclinical animal models and progress in clinical research. The review also discusses the advancements in direct reprogramming of lineage cells in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, as well as the controversy surrounding in vivo reprogramming. These findings suggest that cell reprogramming may hold great promise as a potential strategy for treating Parkinson’s disease.

This study aimed to explore the effects of three medicinal plant (Perilla frutescens, Illicium verum, and Artemisia annua) extracts on growth, immune function and microflora of largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides). Four isonitrogenous and isolipidic diets were formulated: basic feed (control, CON), 0.075% extracts of Perilla frutescens (PFE), Illicium verum (IVE), or Artemisia annua (AAE) feed. Apparently healthy fish (initial body weight of 8.20 ± 0.03 g; total number of 300) were randomly assigned into four groups in triplicate 25 fish tanks, and fish were fed with each of the four experiment feeds for 80 days. Compared with the CON group, groups IVE and AAE fish significantly improved growth performance (final weight, weight gain rate, and specific growth rates; P < 0.05) and decreased hepatic lipid content and hepatopancreas somatic index. Groups IVE and AAE significantly enhanced the hepatic antioxidant capacity (Catalase, Glutathione peroxidase dismutase, and Superoxide dismutase), and up-regulated the mRNA levels of hepatic tight junction protein (Occluding-1 and Claudin-1; P < 0.05) and anti-inflammatory cytokines (interleukin-10 and transforming growth factor-β; P < 0.05). In addition, groups IVE and AAE decreased the transaminase activity and the contents of D-lactic acid in serum (P < 0.05). Groups PFE and AAE significantly improved albumin and globulin contents in serum immunity (P < 0.05). In addition, IVE and AAE groups significantly increased the α-diversity of intestinal flora, reduced the abundance of underlying harmful bacteria (Plesiomonas and Aeromonas), and increased the abundance of probiotics bacteria (Lactobacillus and Weissella; P < 0.05). These results demonstrate that supplementation of feed with IVE and AAE can improve the immune function and change the abundance of intestinal flora, ultimately increasing growth of largemouth bass. Overall, PFE group did not perform well compare with the IVE and AAE groups.

Objective: To investigate the effects of Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides and its flora metabolites on the insulin resistance status of HepG2 cells and its mechanisms. Methods: Insulin resistant HepG2 (IR-HepG2) model was established with the combination of insulin (10−3 µmol/L) and dexamethasone (10 µmol/L). Abstract The meta-analysis aimed to assess the clinical efficacy of chemotherapeutic triplet‐drug regimen combined with anti‐EGFR antibody in patients with initially unresectable metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). A systematic literature search was performed in PubMed Publisher. Studies evaluating FOLFOXIRI combine with panitumumab or cetuximab as the therapy for initially unresectable mCRC were included. The primary outcome was objective response rate (ORR) and rate of R0 resections. The secondary outcomes included overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), and grades 3 or 4 adverse events. R software (version 4.0.2) and RevMan (version 5.3) were used to analyze the extracted data. The studies included were published between 2010 and 2021, involving four single-arm phase II trials and two randomized phase II trials. A total of 6 studies with 282 patients were included. Abstract Background Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) accounts for approximately 2–3% of all adult malignancies. Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), which comprises 70–80% of all RCC cases, is the most common histological subtype. Methods ccRCC transcriptome data and clinical information were downloaded from the TCGA database. We used the TCGA and GEPIA databases to analyze relative expression of BMP1 in various types of human cancer. GEPIA was used to perform survival analysis for BMP1 in various cancer types. Upstream binding miRNAs of BMP1 were obtained through several important target gene prediction tools. StarBase was used to predict candidate miRNAs that may bind to BMP1 and candidate lncRNAs that may bind to hsa-miR-532-3p. We analyzed the association between expression of BMP1 and immune cell infiltration levels in ccRCC using the TIMER website. The relationship between BMP1 expression levels and immune checkpoint expression levels was also investigated. Results BMP1 was upregulated in GBM, HNSC, KIRC, KIRP and STAD and downregulated in KICH and PRAD. Combined with OS and DFS, BMP1 can be used as a biomarker for poor prognosis among patients with KIRC. Through expression analysis, survival analysis and correlation analysis, LINC00685, SLC16A1-AS1, PVT1, VPS9D1-AS1, SNHG15 and the CCDC18-AS1/hsa-miR-532-3p/BMP1 axis were established as the most potential upstream ncRNA-related pathways of BMP1 in ccRCC. Furthermore, we found that BMP1 levels correlated significantly positively with tumor immune cell infiltration, biomarkers of immune cells, and immune checkpoint expression. Conclusion Our results demonstrate that ncRNA-mediated high expression of BMP1 is associated with poor prognosis and tumor immune infiltration in ccRCC.

Abstract Background The prevalence of diabetes mellitus (DM) is dramatically increasing around the world, and patients are getting younger with changes in living standards and lifestyle. This study summarized and analyzed the clinical characteristics of different types of newly diagnosed diabetes mellitus patients with an onset age between 18 and 40 years to provide clinical evidence for the early diagnosis and treatment of diabetes, reduce short-term and long-term complications and offer scientific and personalized management strategies. Methods A total of 655 patients newly diagnosed with early-onset diabetes mellitus in the Department of Endocrinology, the First Medical Center of PLA General Hospital from January 2012 to December 2022 were retrospectively enrolled in this study, with an onset age of 18–40 years. Their clinical data were collected and investigated. All patients were divided into two groups according to whether they presented with diabetic microangiopathy. Similarly, patients with early-onset type-2 diabetes were grouped in accordance with whether they had ketosis at the time of diagnosis. Binary logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze risk factors, and receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was used to explore the predictive value of significant risk factors. Results The findings were as follows: (1) Of 655 enrolled patients, 477 (72.8%) were male and 178 (27.1%) were female, with a mean age of onset of was 29.73 years ± 0.24 SD. (2) The prevalence of early-onset diabetes was gradually increasing. Type-2 diabetes was the most common type of early-onset diabetes (491, 75.0%). The ages of onset of early-onset type-1 diabetes, type-2 diabetes and LADA were mainly 18–24 years, 25–40 years and 33–40 years, respectively. (3) Initial clinical manifestations of early-onset diabetes were classic diabetes symptoms (361, 55.1%), followed by elevated blood glucose detected through medical examination (207, 31.6%). Abstract Tumor development, involving both cell growth (mass accumulation) and cell proliferation, is a complex process governed by the interplay of multiple signaling pathways. TET2 mainly functions as a DNA dioxygenase, which modulates gene expression and biological functions via oxidation of 5mC in DNA, yet whether it plays a role in regulating cell growth remains unknown. Here we show that TET2 suppresses mTORC1 signaling, a major growth controller, to inhibit cell growth and promote autophagy. Mechanistically, TET2 functions as a 5mC “eraser” by mRNA oxidation, abolishes YBX1–HuR binding and promotes decay of urea cycle enzyme mRNAs, thus negatively regulating urea cycle and arginine production, which suppresses mTORC1 signaling. Therefore, TET2-deficient tumor cells are more sensitive to mTORC1 inhibition. Our results uncover a novel function for TET2 in suppressing mTORC1 signaling and inhibiting cell growth, linking TET2-mediated mRNA oxidation to cell metabolism and cell growth control. These findings demonstrate the potential of mTORC1 inhibition as a possible treatment for TET2-deficient tumors.

Abstract Background With the increasing incidence of diabetes worldwide, patients diagnosed with diabetes has been getting younger. Previous studies have shown that high remnant cholesterol (RC) level leads to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease events. However, the relationship between RC levels and newly diagnosed early‐onset type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is unknown. This study aimed to explore the association between RC and newly diagnosed early‐onset T2DM. Methods A total of 606 patients newly diagnosed with early‐onset T2DM and 619 gender‐matched subjects with normal blood glucose levels were retrospectively enrolled in this study. All T2DM patients showed onset age of 18–40 years. Binary logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze independent risk factors and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was used to explore the predictive value of RC and other unconventional lipids. Moreover, the correlation between RC and insulin resistance in patients with newly diagnosed early‐onset T2DM was also examined with binary logistic regression analysis and Spearman correlation analysis. Results Increased RC level was an independent risk factor for early‐onset T2DM (p .05). RC was still correlated with insulin resistance after adjusting the conventional lipid parameters (TG, TC, HDL‐C, and low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol) using partial correlation analysis. Conclusion RC level was higher in patients with early‐onset T2DM and was correlated to the degree of insulin resistance as well. Patients aged 18–40 years with RC >0.32 mmol/L showed an increased risk of developing T2DM.

Background Patients with stroke are often affected by varying degrees of functional disability and have different evolution patterns in functional disability. However, little is known about the predictive usefulness of disability changes after stroke. We aimed to describe 1‐year disability trajectories and to assess the associations of longitudinal disability trajectories with 24‐month clinical outcomes after ischemic stroke. Methods and Results A total of 3533 patients with ischemic stroke from CATIS (China Antihypertensive Trial in Acute Ischemic Stroke) were studied. Distinct trajectories of disability were identified by the group‐based trajectory model, as measured by modified Rankin Scale score within 12 months. Cox proportional hazards regression models were used to examine the associations of disability trajectories with 24‐month cardiovascular events and all‐cause mortality. We identified 4 distinct disability trajectories: no significant disability (562 participants [15.9%]), slight disability to recovery (1575 participants [44.6%]), severe to moderate disability (1087 participants [30.8%]), and persistent severe disability (309 participants [8.7%]). Compared with no significant disability trajectory, the multivariable adjusted hazard ratios (95% CIs) of patients within the persistent heavy–severe trajectory were 2.63 (1.20–5.76) for cardiovascular events, 2.55 (1.12–5.79) for recurrent stroke, and 6.10 (2.22–16.72) for all‐cause mortality; notably, the hazard ratios (95% CIs) for patients within the severe to moderate disability trajectory were 1.99 (1.01–3.94) for cardiovascular events and 1.85 (1.03–3.33) for the composite outcome of cardiovascular events and all‐cause mortality. Conclusions Functional disability trajectories within 12 months after stroke onset were associated with the risk of 24‐month adverse outcomes. Patients with persistent severe disability or severe to moderate disability had higher risk of cardiovascular events and all‐cause mortality. Red-crowned cranes (Grus japonensis) consist of two distinct groups: the continental population and the island population. The island population, localized in Hokkaido, Japan, exhibits very low genetic diversity due to its rapid recovery from the brink of extinction. Our previous research in 2018 highlighted a possible mating between a male from the continental population, with the Gj5 haplotype, and a female from the island population, with the Gj2 haplotype, at Hitominuma Sawmp shore in northern Hokkaido. The present study attempted to unravel the distribution of their offspring by examining the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) of this mixed breeding pair compared with samples collected from cranes in northern and southeastern Hokkaido between 2008 and 2022. The analysis identified 55 MHC types, including 10 known types in a dataset of 89 crane samples, based on amino acid sequences. A total of 58 MHC types were recognized, based on nucleotide sequences, as there were many cases in which the same amino acid sequence had different nucleotide sequences. The five DNA types of MHC in the Hitominuma Swamp male were predominantly identified in eight cranes from northern Hokkaido and one chick from southeastern Hokkaido. In addition, population genetic analysis, based on insertion/deletion (InDel) polymorphisms, indicates distinct population differentiation between the northern and southeastern regions of Hokkaido. These results suggest that genetic contributions from the continental red-crowned crane population have already been integrated into the Hokkaido populations, with a more pronounced influence in northern Hokkaido.

In recent years, pollution caused by the discharge of industrial wastewater into Bohai Bay has posed a potential threat to the health of surrounding residents. Sludge was collected from the outlet of a factory that discharges effluent into Bohai Bay, and alcohol extracts of sludge (SE) were prepared. We confirmed by UPLC-MS/MS analysis that the SE contained PAHs, including fluorene, pyrene, and phenanthrene. Zebrafish embryos as animal models were exposed to 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 1 and 5 ​mg/mL SE from 2 to 4 ​h post-fertilization (hpf) until 120 hpf. The results showed that SE caused a concentration-dependent increase in mortality and a decrease in hatchability. We found that SE significantly reduced eye pigmentation and decreased the movement of embryos and larvae. In addition, SE decreased triiodothyronine (T3) content and down-regulated the mRNA expression of some thyroid hormone-related genes including TPO and Thrβ, and caused the up-regulation of Dio2 and Dio3 at 120 hpf. Exposure to three individual PAHs found in SE, namely fluorene, pyrene, and phenanthrene, caused morphological and transcriptional changes that were similar to those caused by SE exposure. These findings indicate that PAHs in SE can reduce the pigmentation of zebrafish, which may be related to the genetic changes associated with thyroid hormones, and that zebrafish eye pigmentation can be used as an indicator of PAHs exposure.

Abstract Background Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common degenerative disease in joints among elderly patients. Senescence is deeply involved in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis. Metformin is widely used as the first-line drug for Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and has great potential for the treatment of other aging-related disorders, including OA. However, the role of metformin in OA is not fully elucidated. Therefore, our aim here was to investigate the effects of metformin on human chondrocytes. Methods After metformin treatment, expression level of microRNA-34a and SIRT1 in chondrocyte were detected with quantitative real-time PCR and immunofluorescence staining. Then, microRNA-34a mimic and small interfering RNA (siRNA) against SIRT1 (siRNA-SIRT1) were transfected into chondrocyte. Senescence-associated β-galactosidase (SA-β-gal) staining was performed to assess chondrocyte senescence. Chondrocyte viability was illustrated with MTT and colony formation assays. Western blot was conducted to detect the expression of P16, IL-6, matrix metalloproteinase-13 (MMP-13), Collagen type II (COL2A1) and Aggrecan (ACAN). Results We found that metformin treatment (1 mM) inhibited microRNA-34a while promoted SIRT1 expression in OA chondrocytes. Both miR-34a mimics and siRNA against SIRT1 inhibited SIRT1 expression in chondrocytes. SA-β-gal staining assay confirmed that metformin reduced SA-β-gal-positive rate of chondrocytes, while transfection with miR-34a mimics or siRNA-SIRT1 reversed it. MTT assay and colony formation assay showed that metformin accelerated chondrocyte proliferation, while miR-34a mimics or siRNA-SIRT1 weakened this effect. Furthermore, results from western blot demonstrated that metformin suppressed expression of senescence-associated protein P16, proinflammatory cytokine IL-6 and catabolic gene MMP-13 while elevated expression of anabolic proteins such as Collagen type II and Aggrecan, which could be attenuated by transfection with miR-34a mimics. Conclusion Overall, our data suggest that metformin regulates chondrocyte senescence and proliferation through microRNA-34a/SIRT1 pathway, indicating it could be a novel strategy for OA treatment.

Abstract Purpose To explore predictors for readmission within 6 months of ACS patients, and to build a prediction model, and generate a nomogram. Methods The retrospective cohort study included 498 patients with ACS in the Second Medical Center of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army General Hospital between January 2016 and March 2019. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression with odds ratios (OR) and two-sided 95% confidence interval (CI) analysis were used to investigate predictors for readmission within 6 months. The cohort was randomly divided into training cohort to develop a prediction model, and the validation cohort to validate the model. The receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) and the calibration curve was used to assess discriminative power and calibration. Results Eighty-three ACS patients were readmitted within six months, with a readmission rate of 16.67%. Predictors included ACS type, treatment, hypertension, SUA, length of stay, statins, and adverse events occurred during hospitalization were used to form a six-month readmission prediction model for readmission within 6 months in ACS patients. The area under the curve (AUC) of the model was 0.788 (95%CI: 0.735–0.878) and 0.775 (95%CI: 0.686–0.865) in the training cohort and the validation cohort, respectively. Calibration curves showed the good calibration of the prediction model. Decision-curve analyses and clinical impact curve also demonstrated that it was clinically valuable. Conclusion We used seven readily available predictors to develop a prediction model for readmission within six months after treatment in ACS patients, which could be used to identify high-risk patients for ACS readmission.

How cancer cells evade the therapeutic effects of immune checkpoint blockade is largely unknown. Here, we report that fibrinogen-like protein 1 (FGL1), a newly identified immune checkpoint ligand, was modified by acetylation at Lys 98 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), which targeted it for proteasomal degradation. Sirtuin 2 (SIRT2) deacetylated and stabilized FGL1, thus promoting immune evasion. Notably, the SIRT2 inhibitor 2-Cyano-3-[5-(2,5-dichlorophenyl)-2-furanyl]-N-5-quinolinyl-2-propenamide (AGK2) enhanced acetylation of FGL1 and reduced FGL1 protein levels in vitro. The combination of AGK2 and programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) blockade effectively suppressed tumor growth and improved overall survival of mice. Furthermore, aspirin, an old drug, could directly acetylate FGL1 at Lys 98 and promote its degradation in vitro. Aspirin enhanced the immunotherapeutic efficacy, induced tumor regression, and extended the lifespan of tumor-bearing mice. Furthermore, the SIRT2/FGL1 axis was expressed in HCC specimens. Collectively, these findings unveil an acetylation-mediated regulation of FGL1, identify a potential target for HCC immunotherapy, and provide therapeutic strategies for the clinical treatment of HCC.

Abstract Background Soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2 (sTREM2), which reflects microglia activation, has been reported closely associated with neuronal injury and neuroinflammation. We aimed to prospectively investigate the associations between plasma sTREM2 and clinical outcomes in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients. Methods Study participants were from the China Antihypertensive Trial in Acute Ischemic Stroke, plasma sTREM2 levels in the acute phase of AIS were measured in 3285 participants. The study outcomes were death, cardiovascular events and severe disability at 1 year after AIS. Cox proportional hazards models or logistic regression models were performed to examine the associations of plasma sTREM2 and clinical outcomes. Results After 1-year follow-up, 288 participants (8.8%) experienced cardiovascular events or died. Multivariable-adjusted hazard ratios or odds ratios (95% confidence intervals) for the highest quartile of sTREM2 were 1.57 (1.11–2.21) for the composite outcome of death and cardiovascular events, 1.68 (1.09–2.60) for death, and 1.53 (1.08–2.18) for death or severe disability compared to the lowest quartile. We develop a lepton–hadron model for the possible origin of hard very high energy (VHE) spectra from a distant blazar. The model includes synchrotron self-Compton (SSC) and hadronic components. The lepton components include synchrotron radiation and inverse Compton scattering of relativistic electrons. For the hadronic components, we consider proton synchrotron radiation and investigate the interaction of protons with the synchrotron emission soft photons or cosmic microwave background (CMB) photons. Upon adopting the parametrization of the observed spectrum of 1ES 1218+304, we obtain the following results: (1) the model is able to match the spectral energy distribution of 1ES 1218+304; (2) we find that in Ep≈1010∼1017eV, the π0→γ-ray process contributes the majority of the secondary photons; and (3) the interaction of protons with the low-energy photons may occur in or outside the jet.

Total DNA extracts from the intestinal contents of 60 flying red-crowned cranes (juveniles, subadults and adults) found dead in 2006–2021, and the feces of 25 chicks collected in June and July of 2016–2018, were used for PCR reactions with primers specific for 16 crops, followed by high-throughput sequencing. The most predominant crop detected was corn in adult and subadult cranes (61.7%). Other grains (barley, wheat, soybean) (5.0–8.3%) and vegetables (tomatoes, Chinese cabbage, etc.) (1.7–6.7%) were also detected in flying cranes. Surprisingly, some of the detected crops were not grown in the Kushiro and Nemuro regions. There was no significant difference in crop intake status in winter and that in other seasons for most of the crops. Corn (28.0%), soybeans (8.0%), wheat and beet (4.0%) were detected in crane chicks in summer, though the detection rates were generally lower than those in flying cranes. Alfalfa, which is not grown in eastern Hokkaido but is used in some cattle feed, was detected in some cranes. Rice, buckwheat, adzuki beans, common beans, potatoes and carrots were not detected at any life stage, indicating the preferences of red-crowned cranes. The results suggest that red-crowned cranes in Hokkaido are dependent on dairy farmers for their feed supply.

Abstract The acute liver injury (ALI) and hepatic fibrosis caused by the co-treatment of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)/d-galactosamine (D-GalN) have been extensively studied. However, whether LPS/D-GalN are genotoxic has been left unknown. In this study, male mice were divided into eight groups with eight animals in each group. For acute challenge of LPS/D-GalN, the mice in each group received a combination of LPS/D-GalN via intraperitoneal injection at the dose of 25 μg/kg/250 mg/kg, 25 μg/kg/500 mg/kg, or 50 μg/kg/500 mg/kg body weight. An additional group for chronic administration of test compounds was conducted by i.p. injection of LPS/D-GalN (10 μg/kg/100 mg/kg) every other day for 8 weeks. Saline solution (0.9%) and cyclophosphamide (CTX) (50 mg/kg body weight) given by i.p. injection was used as the negative and positive control, respectively. The results of single cell gel electrophoresis (SCGE) assay indicated that acute exposure of the mice to LPS/D-GalN caused severe DNA damage in hepatic cells, but not in the brain, sperm or bone marrow cells, which evidenced the genotoxicity of LPS/D-GalN administrated in combination. Interestingly, the chronic administration of LPS/D-GalN triggered significant genotoxic effects not only in hepatic but also in brain cells, with negative results in sperm and bone marrow cells. Histopathological examination in the liver and brain tissues revealed changes consistent with the SCGE results. The present study indicates genotoxic potential of LPS/D-GalN co-administered in mice, which may serve as an in vivo experimental model for relevant genotoxic study.

Polysaccharide is the major biologically active constituent in functional mushroom Ganoderma lucidum. This study was aim to investigate the utilizability of G. lucidum polysaccharide by human fecal microbiota and its prebiotic potential based on the Simulator of Human Intestinal Microbial Ecosystem (SHIME). GLP was obtained from fruiting bodies of G. lucidum with average molecular weight of 133.1 KDa. Short-term colonic fermentation of GLP revealed the continuously decreased contents of total carbohydrates and reducing sugar as well as pH. Gas chromatography analysis indicated that GLP promoted the production of acetic, propionic and butyric acids. The 16S rDNA amplicon sequencing analysis showed that GLP improved the microbial diversity and ratio of Bacteroides to Firmicutes., and sharply enriched Bacteroides ovatus and B. uniformis. Therefore, GLP can be utilized by human fecal microbiota and then modify microbial community and metabolic function, and may serve as novel prebiotics to bring health benefits for human.

Abstract Background Based on the Stereotype Embodiment Theory (SET), this study aims to examine the mechanism of ageism on frailty through the proposed framework of “Experiences of Ageism (EA) → Age Stereotypes (AS) → Attitudes to Ageing (AA) → Frailty” using a structural equation model (SEM). Methods A community-based study involving 630 participants aged 60 years and older was conducted in Shanghai. EA, AS, AA and frailty status were assessed by validated scales. In particular, EA included three parts in this study, as the first part was the experiences of explicit prejudice or discrimination because of age, another two parts were the experiences of witnessed and encountered implicit negative age-based stereotypes. Abstract Background Infectious diseases caused by multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria, especially MDR Gram-negative strains, have become a global public health challenge. Multifunctional nanomaterials for controlling MDR bacterial infections via eradication of planktonic bacteria and their biofilms are of great interest. Results In this study, we developed a multifunctional platform (TG-NO-B) with single NIR laser-triggered PTT and NO release for synergistic therapy against MDR Gram-negative bacteria and their biofilms. When located at the infected sites, TG-NO-B was able to selectively bind to the surfaces of Gram-negative bacterial cells and their biofilm matrix through covalent coupling between the BA groups of TG-NO-B and the bacterial LPS units, which could greatly improve the antibacterial efficiency, and reduce side damages to ambient normal tissues. Upon single NIR laser irradiation, TG-NO-B could generate hyperthermia and simultaneously release NO, which would synergistically disrupt bacterial cell membrane, further cause leakage and damage of intracellular components, and finally induce bacteria death. On one hand, the combination of NO and PTT could largely improve the antibacterial efficiency. On the other hand, the bacterial cell membrane damage could improve the permeability and sensitivity to heat, decrease the photothermal temperature and avoid damages caused by high temperature. Moreover, TG-NO-B could be effectively utilized for synergistic therapy against the in vivo infections of MDR Gram-negative bacteria and their biofilms and accelerate wound healing as well as exhibit excellent biocompatibility both in vitro and in vivo. Conclusions Our study demonstrates that TG-NO-B can be considered as a promising alternative for treating infections caused by MDR Gram-negative bacteria and their biofilms.

Opa interacting protein 5 (OIP5), overexpressed in some types of human cancers, has been reported to be associated with the carcinogenesis of human cancer. However, its contribution to cancer immunity remains unknown. Furthermore, the relationship between OIP5 and cancer immunity remains uncertain. In our research, we explored the different expression of OIP5 between 539 ccRCC and 72 normal renal tissues base on TCGA data set. We analyzed the associations between OIP5 expression with ccRCC progression and survival. Next, we compared immune cell profiles in cancer tissues and normal tissues in the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) ccRCC cohort. We found that the level of immune cell infiltration was correlated with the copy number of OIP5 gene in ccRCC. The effect of OIP5 on immune activity was verified by Gene Set Enrichment Analysis of RNA-seq data from 32 ccRCC cell lines in the public database. Moreover, a pathway enrichment analysis of 49 OIP5-associated immunomodulators demonstrated the involvement of the T cell receptor signaling pathway, the JAK-STAT signaling pathway, the NF-kappa B signaling pathway and the primary immunodeficiency pathway. In addition, using OIP5-associated immunomodulators, we constructed multiple-gene risk prediction signatures using the Cox regression model. Our results provided insights into the role of OIP5 in tumor immunity and revealed that OIP5 may be a potential immunotherapeutic target for ccRCC. Designated immune signature is a promising prognostic biomarker in ccRCC.

The pharmacological and toxicological effects of active metabolites of enzymes including cytochrome P450 (CYP) are important. While it has been believed for a long time that thalidomide causes characteristic limb malformation only in rabbits and primates including humans, the involvement of their CYP3A subtypes (CYP3As) has been suggested. Recently, however, it was reported that zebrafish were sensitive to thalidomide, showing defects of pectoral fins, homologous organs of forelimbs in mammals, as well as other deformities. In this study, we prepared human CYP3A7 (hCYP3A7)-expressing zebrafish (F0) using a transposon system. Thalidomide caused pectoral fin defects and other malformations including pericardial edema in hCYP3A7-expressing embryos/larvae but not in wild-type and hCYP1A1-expressing embryos/larvae. Thalidomide also reduced the expression of fibroblast growth factor 8 in pectoral fin buds in only hCYP3A7-expressing embryos/larvae. The results suggest the involvement of human-type CYP3A in thalidomide teratogenicity.

Abstract Recently, semiconductor-ionic materials (SIMs) have emerged as new functional materials, which possessed high ionic conductivity with successful applications as the electrolyte in advanced low-temperature solid oxide fuel cells (LT-SOFCs). In order to reveal the ion-conducting mechanism in SIM, a typical SIM pellet consisted of semiconductor La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-δ (LSCF) and ionic conductor Sm and Ca Co-doped ceria Ce0.8Sm0.05Ca0.15O2-δ (SCDC) are suffered from sintering at different temperatures. It has been found that the performance of LSCF-SCDC electrolyte fuel cell decreases with the sintering temperature, the cell assembled from LSCF-SCDC pellet sintered at 600 °C exhibits a peak power density (P max) of 543 mW/cm2 at 550 °C and also excellent performance of 312 mW/cm2 even at LT (500 °C). On the contrary, devices based on 1000 °C pellet presented a poor P max of 106 mW/cm2. The performance difference may result from the diverse ionic conductivity of SIM pellet through different temperatures sintering. The high-temperature sintering could severely destroy the interface between SCDC and LSCF, which provide fast transport pathways for oxygen ions conduction. Such phenomenon provides direct and strong evidence for the interfacial conduction in LSCF-SCDC SIMs.

Bladder cancer is one of the most common urogenital malignancies in the world, and there are no adequate prognostic indicators. CNTD2 is one of the atypical cyclins, which may be related to the cell cycle and even the development of cancers. Early studies have shown that CNTD2 is closely related to the occurrence and development of many malignant tumors. However, the mechanism of CNTD2 in bladder cancer has not been reported. In our research, we explored the different expressions of CNTD2 between 411 bladder cancers and 19 normal bladder tissues based on the TCGA dataset. CNTD2-related signaling pathways were identified through the GSEA. We analyzed the associations of CNTD2 expression and bladder cancer progression and survival using GSE13507. Compared with 19 cases of normal bladder tissue, CNTD2 gene expression was increased in 411 cases of bladder cancer. The high expression of CNTD2 strongly correlated with grade (P < 0.0001), T classification (P = 0.0001), N classification (P = 0.00011), M classification (P = 0.044), age (P = 0.027), and gender (P = 0.0012). Bladder cancer patients with high CNTD2 expression had shorter overall survival (P < 0.001). In the meantime, univariate and multivariate analyses showed that the increased expression of CNTD2 was an independent factor for poor prognosis in bladder cancer patients (P < 0.001 and P < 0.001, respectively). CNTD2 expression is closely related to bladder cancer progression, and the high expression of CNTD2 may be an adverse biomarker in bladder cancer patients.

To date, the Child and Adolescent Mindfulness Measure (CAMM) has been translated into several languages, including Chinese. This study aimed to explore the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the CAMM and to identify the appropriate cutoff score among Chinese primary school students. A total of 1283 participants (52.2% males; 11.52 ± 0.78 years of age) completed a series of questionnaires to evaluate their mental health, including mindfulness, subjective well-being, positive youth development (PYD), depression, and anxiety. Item analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling (ESEM), criterion-related validity analysis, Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) analysis, and reliability analysis were performed. The results show that the Chinese version of the CAMM had acceptable item–scale correlation (r = 0.405–0.775, p < 0.001) and was the best fit for the two-factor ESEM model (χ2 = 168.251, p < 0.001, df = 26, TLI = 0.910, CFI = 0.948, RMSEA = 0.065, SRMR = 0.033) among Chinese primary school students. Additionally, the total score of the Chinese version of the CAMM was significantly associated with subjective well-being and PYD (r = 0.287–0.381, p < 0.001), and negatively associated with depression, and anxiety (r = −0.612–−0.542, p < 0.001). Moreover, a cutoff score of 22 or higher revealed a significant predictive power for all the included criteria. Finally, the Chinese version of the CAMM had good internal consistency (Cronbach’s α = 0.826, McDonald’s ω = 0.826). Altogether, the Chinese version of the CAMM had satisfactory psychometric properties, and it can be applied to Chinese children.

Objective Circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) have promising potential as diagnostic or prognostic biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study aimed to analyze the clinical significance of serum exosomal miR-320a expression in patients with HCC. Methods A total of 104 patients with HCC, 55 patients with chronic liver disease (CLD), and 50 healthy volunteers were enrolled. Serum exosomal miR-320a levels were measured by quantitative reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction and compared among the groups. The relationships between exosomal miR-320a levels and clinicopathological factors in patients with HCC were also analyzed. Results Serum exosomal miR-320a levels were significantly lower in patients with HCC compared with patients with CLD and healthy controls. Receiver-operating characteristic curve analysis showed that serum exosomal miR-320a had good diagnostic value for distinguishing between HCC subjects and normal controls. Serum exosomal miR-320a levels were significantly elevated 1 month after surgery in patients with HCC. Moreover, serum exosomal miR-320a downregulation was strongly associated with positive lymph node metastasis, positive vein invasion, advanced TNM stage, and shorter survival. Serum exosomal miR-320a was confirmed as an independent prognostic marker for HCC. Conclusions Collectively, these results indicate that serum exosomal miR-320a might be a potential biomarker for the detection and prognosis of HCC.

Recently, appreciable ionic conduction has been frequently observed in multifunctional semiconductors, pointing out an unconventional way to develop electrolytes for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). Among them, ZnO and Li-doped ZnO (LZO) have shown great potential. In this study, to further improve the electrolyte capability of LZO, a typical ionic conductor Sm0.2Ce0.8O1.9 (SDC) is introduced to form semiconductor-ionic composites with LZO. The designed LZO-SDC composites with various mass ratios are successfully demonstrated in SOFCs at low operating temperatures, exhibiting a peak power density of 713 mW cm−2 and high open circuit voltages (OCVs) of 1.04 V at 550 °C by the best-performing sample 5LZO-5SDC, which is superior to that of simplex LZO electrolyte SOFC. Our electrochemical and electrical analysis reveals that the composite samples have attained enhanced ionic conduction as compared to pure LZO and SDC, reaching a remarkable ionic conductivity of 0.16 S cm−1 at 550 °C, and shows hybrid H+/O2− conducting capability with predominant H+ conduction. Further investigation in terms of interface inspection manifests that oxygen vacancies are enriched at the hetero-interface between LZO and SDC, which gives rise to the high ionic conductivity of 5LZO-5SDC. Our study thus suggests the tremendous potentials of semiconductor ionic materials and indicates an effective way to develop fast ionic transport in electrolytes for low-temperature SOFCs.

Reducing the operating temperature of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) to 300–600 °C is a great challenge for the development of SOFC. Among the extensive research and development (R&D) efforts that have been done on lowering the operating temperature of SOFCs, nanomaterials have played a critical role in improving ion transportation in electrolytes and facilitating electrochemical catalyzation of the electrodes. This work reviews recent progress in lowering the temperature of SOFCs by using semiconductor-ionic conductor nanomaterial, which is typically a composition of semiconductor and ionic conductor, as a membrane. The historical development, as well as the working mechanism of semiconductor-ionic membrane fuel cell (SIMFC), is discussed. Besides, the development in the application of nanostructured pure ionic conductors, semiconductors, and nanocomposites of semiconductors and ionic conductors as the membrane is highlighted. The method of using nano-structured semiconductor-ionic conductors as a membrane has been proved to successfully exhibit a significant enhancement in the ionic conductivity and power density of SOFCs at low temperatures and provides a new way to develop low-temperature SOFCs.

The application of construction waste to subgrade has important economic and environmental significance. In order to study the long-term deformation characteristics of recycled construction waste filler, a series of laboratory tests and field measurement have been carried out. Through compaction, sieving, and California bearing ratio (CBR) tests, the gradation and CBR value of recycled construction waste filler meet the requirements of expressway subgrade. Long-term deformation tests include laboratory creep tests and field settlement measurement. The creep tests were carried out for about 500 days by a self-made consolidation creep instrument, the creep type of recycled construction waste filler under the test load is stable creep, as the load increases, not only the creep deformation increases but also the time to reach creep stability is longer, and the breakage and compaction of particles are the main reasons for long-term deformation. Through measurement and analysis, it is found that the settlement stability of the construction waste subgrade takes a long time; after the operation of road, the settlement of the subgrade has grown rapidly. Furthermore, the Burgers model can be used to predict the deformation of creep tests, and the maximum settlement of construction waste subgrade can be predicted. The research can provide reference for the application of recycled construction waste filler, and it is conducive to the promotion of construction waste subgrade.

Cinnamomum chago (family Lauraceae) is an essential source of timber and oil. This plant is narrowly distributed in the western part of the Yunnan Province. In this study, the distribution, habitat, and biological characteristics of C. chago were examined through field investigation. The genetic diversity and the variation of the remnant populations were also studied using the inter-simple sequence repeat technique. Results showed that C. chago is mainly distributed in the upstream tributary mountains of Lancang River in Yunlong County of Yunnan Province. The species distribution exhibited a fragmented pattern with five isolated populations and high-frequency anthropogenic interference. A combination of morphological features (opposite leaves, pinnate leaf veins, absence of glandular fossa, large drupe, small punch, and pollen surface with triangular spike grain, with cushion bumps at the base) indicated that C. chago is a key phylogenetic taxon between the two sections of Asian Cinnamomum plants (Sect. Camphora (Trew) Meissn. and Sect. Cinnamomum). Analysis of the genetic diversity of C. chago indicated that it has a moderately high level of genetic diversity at the population and species levels (populations level: Ne = 1.629, H = 0.348, I = 0.504, and PPB = 83.3%; species level: Ne = 1.864, H = 0.460, I = 0.652, and PPB = 100%). Analysis of molecular variance revealed that 17% of the genetic variation was divided between the populations, whereas 83% was observed within the populations. Based on these results, we suggest the inclusion of C. chago in the Wild Plants with Extremely Small Populations in China. Moreover, the species should be given special attention and protection. Some strategies were proposed for the conservation of the C. chago populations.

Ichthyophthirius multifiliis, an external fish parasite, often causes significant economic damage to the aquaculture industry. Since the use of malachite green was banned, the search of alternative substance to control I. multifiliis infections becomes stringent. In present study, in vitro and in vivo anti-ich efficacies of isopsoralen and psoralidin, two active compounds isolated from methanol extract of Psoralea corylifolia by bioassay-guided fractionation based on the efficacy of anti-ich encysted tomonts, were evaluated. In vitro antiprotozoal efficacy of psoralidin is much better than that of isopsoralen. Psoralidin can kill all theronts at concentrations of 0.8 mg/L or more during 4 h exposure; and terminate reproduction of I. multifiliis post 6 h exposure of protomonts to 0.9 mg/L and encysted tomonts to 1.2 mg/L. In vivo trials showed that 5 h exposure of infected fish to 2.5 mg/L of psoralidin significantly reduced the number of theronts released from tomonts. Furthermore, we observed that a part of protomonts, collected from infected fish post treatment, presented characteristic morphological changes of apoptosis after staining with Annexin V-EGFP/propidium iodide, indicating the possible mechanism of psoralidin against I. multifiliis trophont in situ. On the basis of these results, psoralidin can be used as a potential lead compound for the development of commercial drug against I. multifiliis.

Programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) plays an important inhibitory role in anti-tumor responses, so it is considered as a powerful candidate gene for individual's genetic susceptibility to cancer. Recently, some epidemiological studies have evaluated the association between PD-1 polymorphisms and cancer risk. However, the results of the studies are conflicting. Therefore, a meta-analysis was performed. We identified all studies reporting the relationship between PD-1 polymorphisms and cancers by electronically searches. According to the inclusion criteria and the quality assessment of Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS), only high quality studies were included. A total of twelve relevant studies involving 5,206 cases and 5,174 controls were recruited. For PD-1.5 (rs2227981) polymorphism, significantly decreased cancer risks were obtained among overall population, Asians subgroup and population-based subgroup both in TT vs. CC and TT vs. CT+CC genetic models. In addition, a similar result was also found in T vs. C allele for overall population. However, there were no significant associations between either PD-1.9 (rs2227982) or PD-1 rs7421861 polymorphisms and cancer risks in all genetic models and alleles. For PD-1.3 (rs11568821) polymorphism, we found different cancer susceptibilities between GA vs. GG and AA vs. AG+GG genetic models, and no associations between AA vs. GG, AA+AG vs. GG genetic models or A vs. G allele and cancer risks. In general, our results firstly indicated that PD-1.5 (rs2227981) polymorphism is associated a strongly decreased risk of cancers. Additional epidemiological studies are needed to confirm our findings.

Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) polymorphism may be a risk factor for male infertility. However, the epidemiologic studies showed inconsistent results regarding MTHFR polymorphism and the risk of male infertility. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis of published case-control studies to re-examine the controversy.Electronic searches of PubMed, EMBASE, Google Scholar and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) were conducted to select eligible literatures for this meta-analysis (updated to June 19, 2014). According to our inclusion criteria and the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS), only high quality studies that observed the association between MTHFR polymorphism and male infertility risk were included. Crude odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence interval (CI) was used to assess the strength of association between the MTHFR polymorphism and male infertility risk.Twenty-six studies involving 5,575 cases and 5,447 controls were recruited. Overall, MTHFR 677C>T polymorphism showed significant associations with male infertility risk in both fixed effects (CT+TT vs. CC: OR = 1.34, 95% CI: 1.23-1.46) and random effects models (CT+TT vs. CC: OR = 1.39, 95% CI: 1.19-1.62). Further, when stratified by ethnicity, sperm concentration and control sources, the similar results were observed in Asians, Caucasians, Azoo or OAT subgroup and both in population-based and hospital-based controls. Nevertheless, no significant association was only observed in oligo subgroup.Our results indicated that the MTHFR polymorphism is associated with an increased risk of male infertility. Further well-designed analytical studies are necessary to confirm our conclusions and evaluate gene-environment interactions with male infertility risk.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: The GSTM1, GSTT1 and GSTP1 polymorphisms might be involved in inactivation of procarcinogens that contribute to the genesis and progression of cancers. However, studies investigating the association between GSTM1, GSTT1 or GSTP1 polymorphisms and prostate cancer (PCa) risk report conflicting results, therefore, we conducted a meta-analysis to re-examine the controversy. METHODS: Published literature from PubMed, Embase, Google Scholar and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) were searched (updated to June 2, 2012). According to our inclusion criteria, studies that observed the association between GSTM1, GSTT1 or GSTP1 polymorphisms and PCa risk were included. The principal outcome measure was the odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence interval (CI) for the risk of PCa associated with GSTM1, GSTT1 and GSTP1 polymorphisms. RESULTS: Fifty-seven studies involving 11313 cases and 12934 controls were recruited. The overall OR, which was 1.2854 (95% CI = 1.1405-1.4487), revealed a significant risk of PCa and GSTM1 null genotype, and the similar results were observed when stratified by ethnicity and control source. Further, the more important is that the present study first reported the high risks of PCa for people who with dual null genotype of GSTM1 and GSTT1 (OR = 1.4353, 95% CI = 1.0345-1.9913), or who with GSTT1 null genotype and GSTP1 A131G polymorphism (OR = 1.7335, 95% CI = 1.1067-2.7152). But no association was determined between GSTT1 null genotype (OR = 1.102, 95% CI = 0.9596-1.2655) or GSTP1 A131G polymorphism (OR = 1.0845, 95% CI = 0.96-1.2251) and the PCa risk. CONCLUSIONS: Our meta-analysis suggested that the people with GSTM1 null genotype, with dual null genotype of GSTM1 and GSTT1, or with GSTT1 null genotype and GSTP1 A131G polymorphism are associated with high risks of PCa, but no association was found between GSTT1 null genotype or GSTP1 A131G polymorphism and the risk of PCa. Further rigorous analytical studies are highly expected to confirm our conclusions and assess gene-environment interactions with PCa risk.
