Pasar Wage is a center of commercial trading and services in Purwokerto that significantly influences the city's economic growth. The high intensity of activities in Pasar Wage area has led to several problems indicating a decrease in the livability area, such as waste accumulation, traffic congestion, land misuse, as well as poor environmental quality and infrastructure. Ideally, commercial public spaces should provide suitable space for area users as they contain essential facilities that promote urban livability. This research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing field observation as the primary method for data collection. The analysis method involves skoring techniques, comparing existing conditions with the standards of the livability concept theory. This study aims to identify the level of livability in Pasar Wage area. Livability of the area is assessed based on 6 research variabels including accessibility, comfort, safety, environmental quality, activities, and function. Overall, the livability level of Pasar Wage area has a score of 141/240 (moderate livability). There are differences in livability levels among the area segments. Segments 1 and 5 have low livability levels, while segment 2 has the lowest level. On the other hand, segments 3 and 4 show better livability levels. Factors such as road function and classification also affect the livability level in certain segments. For example, segments 3 and 4 have high livability levels because they are traversed by primary roads that attract economic activities and have good transportation connections. Lasem City, a charming trading town nestled on the north coast of Central Java, Indonesia, is currently experiencing a surge in tourist popularity. This surge is attributed to the city's rich historical legacy, which adds an intriguing layer to the allure of this vibrant destination. To comprehend the distinctive attributes of this city, it is essential to conduct a morphological overview, delving into the formation and evolution of the urban landscape throughout history. The physical identity of the city shaped by geographical location, historical events, and local culture, serves as a conceptual framework for deciphering its unique character. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the impact of tourism on the morphology of Lasem, from the Hindu Majapahit era to the post-independence period in Indonesia. Exploring both positive and negative influences, the study meticulously obtained spatial and historical data through a combination of field observations, analysis of historical maps, and insightful interviews. The discernible growth pattern of tourism in Lasem was adeptly shown through content analysis and triangulation. The results showed a surge of tourism in post-independence Lasem, particularly gaining momentum after the 2000sl. Furthermore, an indelible mark on the city was left by the influx of Chinese cultural influences brought by immigrants establishing elite settlements. Economic dynamics further catalyzed a shift in land function, transforming former spaces into thriving commercial hubs. The dynamics of Lasem as a historic city experienced a profound transformation directly influenced by tourism. This elucidates a compelling interrelationship between the morphology of historic cities in Indonesia, the burgeoning tourism sector, and the nuanced field of heritage management. In various fields of science, crime has various meanings and concepts related to the spatial and social aspects. The aspect in this context is the morphology of the area and the spatial activities of the community in the environment itself. In the city of Semarang, the location with a high number of crimes is in the city center, namely the Central Semarang District. The city center in the sub-district functions as a central office area of Semarang City which has a significant change in activity patterns, but in fact this area has a crime problem that needs to be solved. recommended criteria and concepts for regional planning that can overcome crimes in the Jalan Pahlawan area of Semarang City. This study uses a descriptive research method with the analytical technique used is morphological analysis technique to analyze the morphology of the Jalan Pahlawan area and behavior mapping to analyze the activities that occur and the analysis will be summarized using character assessment techniques to produce area-specific criteria. The results of this study indicate that the Jalan Pahlawan area has characters, including changes in the pattern of activities in the area, making the area less supervised in the early hours of the morning, and the lack of lighting at night makes the image of the area not alive at night. This will create a sense of fear of cream in the area. This is the basis for drafting the concept/design of the Jalan Pahlawan area.
