This pilot randomized controlled trial (RCT) aimed to explore whether depression and anxiety could be reduced by psychiatric home nursing supporters offering brief cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis (CBTp) at home, using a workbook for patients with schizophrenia. Eighteen patients with schizophrenia treated in a psychiatric home nursing service were randomly assigned to two groups: one group received CBTp in addition to usual care (TAU + CBTp group; n = 9) and the other received only usual care (TAU group; n = 9); two patients were excluded due to hospitalization or withdrawal of consent. Eight weekly CBTp sessions were conducted; anxiety/depression, quality of life, self-esteem, and overall functioning were assessed at baseline, week 9, and week 13. There was no significant difference in the primary and secondary evaluations. The effect size was 0.84 for primary evaluation indicating a large effect. This study showed that nurses and occupational therapists can provide CBTp in psychiatric home nursing for patients with schizophrenia to potentially alleviate anxiety and depression compared to standard psychiatric home nursing service alone. Pelliot tibétain 1257, a manuscript discovered in Dunhuang and now housed in the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, contains a Bilingual Tibetan–Chinese glossary that compiles some of the most fundamental Buddhist terminology and vocabulary excerpted from the Saṃdhi-nirmocana-sūtra. The Tibetan terms within this glossary were initially completed by one person, while the Chinese terms were subsequently filled in by three individuals. This vocabulary list may have served as a workbook prepared by a Tibetan teacher for Chinese students learning Tibetan vocabulary. The workbook, with Chinese vocabulary filled in by Chinese students, remained in their possession and use thereafter. The ability to solve problems involving fractions is a fundamental aspect of mathematics education. This study explores how Pre-Service Primary School Teachers approach problem-solving in fractional computations. A workbook is designed to support pre-service primary school teachers ' computational thinking in fraction-context challenges. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method encompassing interviews, study documentation, and observation to assess fraction computation problem-solving abilities. Twenty-seven participants were involved in this study. They were first-year students enrolled in the Primary School Teacher Education Department at one of the private universities in Jakarta, Indonesia. The findings reveal a notable outcome in pre-service primary school teachers ' understanding of fraction computation problem-solving, marked by recognizable strategies in their problem-solving approach. This research suggests that designing a series of workbooks containing various strategies in computational fractions and building a strong fractional number sense can help pre-service teachers reduce misconceptions and better understand fraction operations. These findings offer guidance for mathematics teacher education on how to effectively teach and embed the concept of fraction calculations to their future students so that they can only teach procedurally if they understand the meaning of fraction operations.

The electrical penetration graph (EPG) technique is the most powerful tool for studying the feeding behavior of pierce-sucking insects. However, calculating EPG variables is often very time-consuming, and consequently, several software programs have been developed for the automatic calculation of EPG variables. Here we present a new user-friendly Excel Workbook that uses a standardized list of EPG variables and follows expert guidelines for calculating them. The program developed in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is a step up from the existing software and allows easy data analysis and interpretation. It also includes a novel option for dealing with the common problem of "truncated"—waveforms artificially terminated by the end of recording. The only requirement to run the program is Microsoft Excel software running under a PC environment. The Workbook was validated by calculating variables from EPG recordings of aphids and psyllids and the results obtained were compared with those of existing software such as the Sarria Workbook. Our EPG Workbook provides researchers with a reliable and standardized tool for the automatic calculation of up to 127 EPG variables from phloem-sap-sucking insects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The purpose of this pre-registered study was to test the efficacy of a simple, low-impact safety behavior prevention intervention for anxiety. The intervention was delivered online using a 4-week workbook format. Participants (n = 130) were a non-clinical sample of American college students; they were randomly assigned to one of two intervention conditions: safety-behavior reduction or active control condition (academic skills). Results showed that participants in the safety behavior workbook condition did not report fewer safety behaviors or lower levels of anxiety compared to the active control condition post-intervention. Exploratory analyses found that fidelity mattered; participants who completed all the workbook activities reported a significant decrease in the safety-behaviors relative to the control condition. However, those who reduced their use of safety behaviors reported greater levels of anxiety compared to participants in the control condition who reduced their safety behaviors. These results suggest that encouraging safety behavior reduction in non-clinical samples may have the unintended consequence of maintaining anxiety. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background & Aims: Workbooks are a key and important factor in learning. A portfolio is a purposeful collection of evidence that can demonstrate overall effort and progress in one or more areas. Portfolio-based learning should be used in all fields of medical education as an educational and evaluation solution. "Electronic portfolio is a tool for learning and measuring the learning process and product with the ability to store, organize, provide feedback, modify and review student's work in a digital environment based on the web, network or computer and can and can be like a showcase representing growth, progress, and skills. The student should be in the specific field" according to Barrett, one of the pioneers in the development of electronic portfolio in education, the electronic portfolio contains works that the learner collects, reflects, selects, and displays to show growth and change over time. The use of electronic portfolios in online courses as a good assessment tool is agreed upon by different researchers. According to some, portfolios provide an opportunity for self-evaluation, self-regulation learning, reflection, and the development of individual skills. In addition to being a good tool for assessment, the electronic portfolio can also be a good tool for learning. The portfolio is a collection of student evidence and documentation that shows their effort, progress, and academic success in a theoretical or clinical training course. The workbook provides useful information to the student that determines his success or weaknesses. In other words, a portfolio is a tool for empowering students, which, by adopting a collaborative approach, leads to independence in student learning and changes teacher-centered learning to student-centered learning. On the other hand, with performance-based training and creating learning conditions based on the needs of each individual, the work folder provides the possibility of fair education and judgment for educational environments. It fulfills tasks, presents documents and documents, introduces ongoing and completed tasks, selects and approves qualifications, encourages and promotes, and training and evaluates thinking skills and learning strategies. Therefore, the main question of the current research is: What is the effect of the electronic folder on thinking habits and mental health in the University of Medical Sciences to present the model? Methods: This practical study was conducted with a mixed approach with a qualitative and quantitative approach with an exploratory design. Delphi method was used in the qualitative part and the descriptive survey method was used in the quantitative part. In the qualitative part, the statistical population included 18 professors of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, among whom 13 were selected by targeted sampling based on the saturation law, and 1665 postgraduate students and assistants of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences were included in the study. became A small part of which 312 people were selected as a sample using stratified random sampling based on Cochran's formula. To collect data, a researcher-made electronic portfolio questionnaire with 47 questions and thinking tendencies with 50 questions were used. The face and content validity of the instruments was confirmed by the supervisor and the consultant, and composite reliability and Cronbach's alpha were calculated above 0.7. For data analysis, empirical factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, Friedman test, and structural equations were used using SPSS21 and PLS3.2 software. Results: The results showed that the electronic portfolio has 6 dimensions, among which skill has the highest standard coefficient and attitude has the highest degree of correlation. Also, the results of the structural equation test showed that the effect of the electronic workbook on thinking patterns and mental health in graduate students and assistants of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences is significant. Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that the electronic workbook affects the character of thinking and mental health of postgraduate students and assistants of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. It is necessary to prepare and design the global citizen curriculum at educational levels, especially in higher education. Undoubtedly, one of the most fundamental tasks of education and training, especially higher education, is the training of informed, committed, active, creative, and comprehensive citizens. People who can adapt themselves to the values, customs, and traditions of the local, national and global society. The educational system, especially universities, compile and implement all learning activities and experiences in the form of a curriculum. The main elements of the curriculum, which include goals, content, teaching methods, and evaluation methods, and are specified according to the main components of global citizen education, including knowledge, attitude, and skills, provide a platform for learning and education. The results of the present research showed that the electronic work folder consists of 2 dimensions "evaluation and education" and 6 components "feedback, self-evaluation, fostering creativity, fostering critical thinking, learner progress, and metacognitive knowledge" and among these, the highest standard coefficient related to the dimension Skill is the lowest value related to the related knowledge dimension. Objective: To investigate the effectiveness of an oral health education programme using a mobile app for adults aged 65 years or older. Methods: Participants aged 65 or older were randomly allocated into non‐app use (n = 25), app use (n = 22) and control (n = 26) groups. The non‐app use group received lecture‐based oral health education using PowerPoint presentations and participated in workbook activities twice a week for five weeks, whereas the app use group underwent oral health education using a smartphone app and workbook activities for five weeks. Before and after the intervention, a questionnaire survey and oral health examination were performed to examine changes in oral health‐related indices. Results: The non‐app use group showed significant changes, with a 2.1 increase in oral health knowledge score, 0.2 decrease in the O'Leary index and 0.6 decrease in tongue coating. The app use group showed significant changes, with a 3.1 increase in oral health knowledge score, a 2.5 increase in oral health perception, a 0.3 decrease in the O'Leary index and a 1.4 decrease in tongue coating. Repeated‐measures ANOVA showed that interaction between time and group was significant only in tongue coating variable. This study aimed to create the double bass workbook that focuses on critical thinking and the efficiency of learning. studied. The research tools were: 1) The double bass workbook for children (7-9 years old), and 2) an assessment and interview form, to analyze the data was percentage. The research used that to teach those six students and gathering data by observation during the academic year 2018-2019. The findings were: The organizing music activities will make children's music lessons interesting in communication, cooperation, and critical thinking through listening, singing, game playing, recording, filling notes (adding a melody), accompanying practice to practice double bass. The teacher's assessment with the workbook was at 93% that means the teacher was highly effective in using the double bass workbook. The children passed the exam, the average score was 33 from 35. In the future, this workbook both practicability and operability.

Textbooks provide a framework for the English language teaching curriculum. Among different skills and components covered in the ELT materials, reading comprehension is conceived as an inalienable skill required to expand the students’ knowledge of the language. Reading passages are accompanied by a set of questions to check the students’ comprehension and enhance their reading efficiency. Focusing on the reading sections of the newly compiled English textbook for the 12th-grade students, the current study attempted to investigate reading comprehension questions accompanying the reading passages in Vision 3 and its workbook adopting Freeman’s (2014) taxonomy. Furthermore, it elicited 80 teachers’ perspectives on the reading sections utilizing the relevant items from an eclectic checklist. To deepen the results, eight teachers also provided their comments. First, the reading comprehension questions in Vision 3 and its workbook were analyzed and assigned to the categories and subcategories proposed in the taxonomy. The frequency and percentage values showed that Language questions were the most frequent category in Vision 3 while Content questions were the most prevalent of all in the workbook. Among the subcategories of reading comprehension questions, Form questions were the commonest type in the student book whereas both Forma and Personal Response questions were the most frequent of all in the workbook. In addition, the results of the Kruskal Wallis test revealed a significant difference between the student book and its workbook in terms of the frequency of Content questions. The analysis of the teachers’ perspectives also demonstrated their discontent with the reading sections in that book that failed to provide the students authentic texts and challenging questions and activities. Notwithstanding the dramatic positive changes in Vision 3 concerning other skills and components, the findings showed that it needed to be revisited and revised considering the reading comprehension skills and sub-skills. The study raised the material developers’ consciousness about the existing reading comprehension questions in both the student book and its workbook. It further enabled the teachers to identify the missing types of questions and develop supplementary materials to enhance the students’ reading comprehension skills.

The article discusses the possibility of including in the format of performing independent tasks as in the development of educational programs of higher education in the system distance learning, and during the period of coronavirus infection COVID-19, forced self-isolation and limited quarantine, elements of creative analytics from the arsenal of tools of the didactic approach of the so-called activity-based comparative studies. As an example of the student's work, we chose the implementation of an independent task in the academic discipline "Economic analysis" from the section "Analysis of the implementation of the production program" in a specific production case study “Structural assortment analysis of labor intensity” of one of the economic entities representing the real sector of the national economy of the country. The article provides the author's recommendations for enhancing the creative potential of a student, for stimulating interactive work in the classroom with a teacher in the implementation of the distance learning system, with the proper execution of a workbook of observations and with the controlled formation of professional competencies of the main educational program.

Abstract Background Delivery of medical ethics education is complex due to various reasons, compounded by the context-dependent nature of the content. The scarcity of relevant resources in the contexts of some developing countries adds a further layer of difficulty to ethics education in these contexts. We used a consultative approach with students, teachers and external experts to develop a practical approach to medical ethics education. This study aimed to develop and refine a contextually relevant approach to ethics education in the region of Saudi Arabia. Methods The study utilised an explorative qualitative methodology to seek views of students and faculty of Rabigh Faculty of Medicine, Saudi Arabia, and international experts in the field of ethics and education to review and enhance a new ethics learning strategy which included a workbook-based tool. Three focus groups with 12 students, in-depth interviews with four faculty members and qualitative feedback from eleven external experts enabled the study participants to objectively critique the WBEL and provide feedback to enhance its quality. Thematic content analysis of the data was done to draw inferences which were used to refine the educational strategy. Results The analysis generated twenty-one sub-themes within four main themes: design features, content, teaching methods and assessment. These findings helped to design the educational strategy to improve its effectiveness in the given context. Conclusion The study drew on the views of students, faculty and external experts to systematically develop a novel approach to ethics education for countries like Saudi Arabia. It also demonstrated the use of the consultative approach for informing a culturally relevant educational strategy in the Middle East context.

The article deals with the process of updating the content and methods of technological training. The latter aims to form pupils' skills of independent creativity and educational and handicraft activities, which act as the means of improving education quality. The international relevance of the article lies in the objectification of Ukraine's experience, which can be used in the post-Soviet countries, given that these countries follow conservative principles in planning and implementing educational content. The article proves that the effectiveness of developing pupils' experience of independent creativity during handicraft and technology lessons is determined by the following organizational and methodological conditions: comprehending the need for independent creativity; developing pupils' positive motivation towards independent creative handicraft and technology activities; improving educational and methodological support; using innovative pedagogical technologies and information and communication technologies. Background: Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) has a high recurrence in Indonesia. This condition may occur as a result of the failure of compliance with post-acute management following a heart attack by CHD patients. One of the causes is the lack of effective health education. Objective: The aim of this study was to identify the feasibility of the workbook in improving patients’ self-efficacy (SE) and quality of life (QoL). Methods: This research used a quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control design. A pretest was done to the patients who were treated in the cardiac intensive unit, and a posttest was carried out at the end of the first and second month after the pretest. The population was all post-acute CHD patients who were admitted to the cardiac intensive unit in one of the referral hospitals in West Java, Indonesia. A purposive sampling was used and obtained 39 respondents who were divided into control and intervention groups. The intervention group was given a health education using a workbook, and the control group was given a direct health education. Self-efficacy was measured using a questionnaire developed by the authors, with high validity and reliability. A SF-12 instrument was used for measuring the quality of life. Data were analyzed using a descriptive quantitative analysis such as mean, Mann Whitney test, and Independent t-test. To estimate the effects of the intervention to QoL and SE, Kruskal Wallis test and One-way ANOVA were used. Results: The results showed that there was an increase in SE and QoL in both groups, either in the posttest 1 or posttest 2. The comparison of QoL in the pretest, posttest I and II obtained p=.452, .741, and .826, while SE between and within groups obtained p = .732, .220, and .009, respectively. Conclusions: Health education using the workbook was significantly more effective to increase SE than QoL of the CHD patients.

A developmental study was conducted on the reliability of a developed workbook in Basic Drawing. Three experts, and faculty and students of the University of Eastern Philippines rated the workbook. Results of the study showed that the bases for the workbook were determined by the faculty handling drawing in three years in the UEP System who revealed that students have poor performance in drawing subject. From the bases, suggested inputs in the workbook included lettering, oblique drawing, isometric drawing, geometrical figures, polygon construction, ellipse drawing, orthographic drawing, one-point perspective, two-point perspective and section construction. The workbook was subjected to reliability test and the results showed that the workbook did not meet the requirements for a reliable material in all of its aspects considering that all of the values in accuracy, illustrations and presentations, readability, time allotment, and usefulness were below the acceptable value. Описан опыт внедрения результатов научных исследований студентов для организации внеурочной учебно-исследовательской деятельности школьников по биологии. Показано, что основным фактором является соотнесение научных исследований, самостоятельно проводимых студентами, и возможности проведения подобных исследований обучающимися школ. Это связано как с возрастными особенностями школьников и уровнем их подготовленности, так и с материально-техническим обеспечением организации. Приведен пример реализации получения школьниками пятых классов первичных элементарных исследовательских навыков по ботанике при изучении темы «Прорастание семян и рост проростков» с использованием результатов научных исследований студентов.

Dictionaries have long been recognised as an essential learning resource, when learning languages. We can find many specialised and user-friendly dictionaries in the market. Problems may arise when teachers and learners do not know how to use these materials to assist learning. This study shows how dictionary skills can be integrated into the English syllabus and taught explicitly in class. In addition, it discusses the state of dictionary culture and dictionary pedagogy in Hungary by analysing the National Core Curriculum from this point of view. We are not born knowing how to use dictionaries well, therefore students need to gain this knowledge and these skills at school in order to use their dictionary effectively. The tough challenges presented by the inadequate dictionary culture and the inability of teachers to integrate dictionary pedagogy in the everyday teaching are clearly visible. The study demonstrates the use of dictionary worksheets and other activities in order to overcome the above-mentioned problems. It will also look at ways to help teachers to train their students how to use a dictionary. Training in dictionary use can help students explore personal preferences and learning styles and may also lead students to new modes of study. Objectives: The department of community medicine (DCM) has been training medical interns for palliative care in the hospital and community setting. There was no specific curriculum or course material available for training them. This study aims to develop, implement and evaluate the palliative care curriculum for training medical interns. Materials and Methods: The present program development and evaluation of palliative care curriculum was done in the DCM, Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital, Puducherry, India. We followed the Kern's six steps for curriculum development. It was done during July 2016 and May 2017. We framed expected outcomes from literature review and interviews with experts. The curriculum was delivered through small group sessions followed by hands-on exposure to hospital- and community-based palliative care programs guided by a workbook. Medical interns were given feedback on their field assignments on history taking, followed by reflection using structured template incorporated in the workbook. The reaction to the curriculum was collected from various stakeholders. Results: Medical interns found the curriculum useful for them to acquire basic skills of pain management, communication skills and teamwork. Patients and family felt satisfied with the quality of care provided. Conclusion: The new palliative care curriculum was well received by all the stakeholders involved. Objective: This study investigated the effects of an oral health education programme utilising a workbook for people aged 65 years or older.Materials and Methods: A pre-post quasi-experimental design was used to verify the effectiveness of an oral health education programme using a workbook. Oral health education was provided once a week for 5 weeks from May to June 2019. Intervention group I only received lectures on oral health education, while intervention group II reviewed the content using the workbook immediately after the lecture. Chi-square test, Fisher's exact test and a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were conducted to compare differences among the three groups; a paired t test was also carried out to identify the changes before and after the programme.Results: Intervention group I showed a significant increase of 3.52 on oral health knowledge and 3.47 on oral health recognition, while exhibiting a significant decrease of 0.21 on the O'Leary index and 0.69 on the tongue coating index. Intervention group II depicted a significant increase of 4.48 on oral health knowledge and 3.97 on oral health recognition and a significant decrease of 0.32 on the O'Leary index and 2.10 on the tongue coating index.Conclusions: The oral health education programme using the workbook increased knowledge and recognition of oral health and lowered the O'Leary and tongue coating indexes. Este estudio propone la interacción dialógica asincrónica entre las necesidades detectadas en el profesorado novel y los consejos de pares expertos. El objetivo es comprender y dotar de un instrumento de apoyo a docentes que se inician en el ámbito universitario del diseño, la creatividad y la comunicación. Se han estudiado 13 modelos competenciales. La metodología es cualitativa. Se utilizan dos instrumentos de análisis: actividades de reflexión intrapersonal dirigidas a 10 profesores noveles, y entrevistas semiestructuradas a 10 docentes sénior. Los resultados gestan la publicación de un workbook, capaz de contribuir a la práctica docente reflexiva. Se prevé una mejor implementación de las acciones de enseñanza-aprendizaje pertinente, sostenible y emocionalmente equilibrada.

This article deals with the current state of the concept of workbooks from geo-graphy at elementary schools. It contains basic steps and specifics of creation and describes their advantages and usability in the educational process. The dimension of workbooks consists of tasks that are grouped according to the types of their didactic processing, formulation and according to Bloom's taxonomy of cognitive skills associated with the dimension of knowledge. Based on the scientific attributes of expertise and didactic processing, the thesis includes the evaluation of current workbooks from geography for elementary school in Planet Earth. The main aspect is formulating and creating tasks, pointing to the most common shortcomings and their modifications. The article also points to the adequacy of the content of the tasks with the state educational program and to the didactic age adequacy of the solution. The atricle is complemented by a number of attachments that better describing in more detail the problem at hand.

Vocabulary is a key factor in successful language acquisition and as the textbook is central in the teaching of English, ideas behind vocabulary input in teaching materials should be based on research findings. The present study is an analysis of seven teaching materials used for young learners in Sweden. The results show that only a limited amount of the vocabulary students encounter in textbooks features in the exercises, with the focus placed on practising words already occurring with high frequency in the textbooks. Most exercises have an incidental vocabulary-learning focus and also require students to deal with language only in a mechanical way. This suggests there is no pedagogical thought behind the vocabulary input and that the inadequacies of textbooks are not properly addressed in workbooks. A conclusion to be drawn is that many teaching materials intended for younger learners in Swedish schools are questionable from a language learning perspective. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper deals with new theoretical approach to literary text, which is called ‘interpretative commentary’. We have tried to demonstrate it on the material of F. Dostoevsky’s novels. In spite of a long story of Dostoevsky’s novels’ academic publishing their texts still need some corrections. As for their interpretation is should be based on a special, not textological or historical but on so called “interpretative” commentary. Methods used in the article are historical, biographical, literary review; interpretative commentary.

Listening to recorded music goes far back in Hungarian school education. We have data showing that during the music lessons of the different types of schools recorded music was used in as early as the 1930s3, and the new school type, the eight-year elementary school established in 1945, continued this tradition4. It is especially worth exploring the use of recorded music in the elementary schools of the 1960s because it was the first time in the history of listening to music in school which left not only written evidence to the researchers but also the actual vinyl records that students listened to during music lessons. The presentation of musical instruments has always played an important role in listening to music in school. The current study explores that part of the musical education program of the 1960s, which introduced students to the piano with the help of the curriculum, textbooks, workbooks and recordings. Aiming at improving the quality of teaching mathematics at higher educational institutions authors discuss one of the instruments - workbook complexes which can beimplemented as an element of educational and methodical complex as well as one of the assessment means.

How does education prepare future designers for current and future requirements of the field? An attempt to respond to this question is presented through the Design Workbook: a curricular project that has been proposed and developed over the course of three phases. In Phase One, the objectives, structure and format were defined: an online interface containing activities organised under five chapters that aim at building students' creative confidence and sensitivity to surrounding contexts, and prepare them to lead their career path. In Phase Two, the website was developed to its first usable version, and content applied into live classes. Phase Three was marked with content refinement for the activities, navigation and feature redesign in the interface, and new ways of conducting the course. The article summarises learning points from the first two phases, and provides new findings and analyses from the final phase. It also includes a sample of the activities content, student works and feedback as well as the interface development stages. The methodology utilised throughout consisted of active research, as well as learning outcomes assessment using direct and indirect measures. Assessment results and classroom observations confirmed that students benefit greatly from visualising ideas, hands on activities, design thinking workshops, as well as from collaborative experiences, to avoid facing designer's block and to practise empowerment of self and others. Finally, challenges, opportunities and future implications are discussed, alongside implementation possibilities: The Design Workbook can run as a sole course, spread across the curriculum, and expand into the community. Objective: Bibliotherapy refers to psychological self-help interventions that utilize treatment books to improve psychological well-being. Research supports bibliotherapy as an efficacious intervention for a variety of mental health problems. Yet, few studies have investigated bibliotherapy in psychosocial oncology. The objective of this randomized controlled trial was to examine the efficacy of the NuCare intervention, delivered as a self-directed workbook, for enhancing empowerment, coping, and quality of life and reducing distress in patients with cancer.Methods: Eighty-nine adult patients with cancer were randomized to receive the workbook for 6 weeks or the control condition, usual care. Participants completed questionnaires at baseline, 6 weeks post-baseline, and 10 weeks post-baseline.Results: The increase of empowerment (main outcome) and quality of life and the decrease of distress in the NuCare group from pre-intervention to follow-up assessment differed significantly from the respective difference scores in the control group.Conclusions: The self-administered NuCare workbook is a potentially cost-effective, minimal intervention addressing psychosocial needs of patients with cancer.Practice Implications: Evidence-based bibliotherapy can empower patients and has the promise of reducing the burden on the healthcare system while enhancing the immediacy of psychosocial support. Esta pesquisa defende que a seleção de colocações para o ensino de língua estrangeira deve ser inicialmente realizada com o propósito de atender aprendizes de uma L1 específica e, desse modo, sustenta que materiais de ensino devam ser elaborados a começar por uma seleção cuidadosa de colocações que retratem as dificuldades específicas desses aprendizes (MACKIN, 1978). Nesse sentido, este artigo visa tratar da compilação de um workbook on-line de colocações na língua inglesa, baseado em corpus, no intuito de permitir que professores de inglês como LE trabalhem com as colocações em sala de aula de modo mais eficiente e auxiliem seus alunos a empregá-las de modo mais preciso e produtivo. Temos também como público-alvo tradutores aprendizes e profissionais, principalmente aqueles cuja L1 é o português. As atividades estão sendo desenvolvidas com base nas dificuldades dos alunos brasileiros no uso de colocações, segundo dados observados em traduções produzidas por alunos universitários, na direção português-inglês, que compõem um corpus paralelo, o Corpus de Aprendizes de Tradução, bem como de redações, escritas por alunos universitários, que compõem o Corpus de Aprendizes de Língua Estrangeira. Para extrair os dados, utilizamos o programa WordSmith Tools (SCOTT, 2008), possibilitando-nos levantar os padrões colocacionais mais frequentemente empregados pelos alunos. O Corpus of Contemporary American English (DAVIES, 1990-2012) também é utilizado, para verificar a frequência e recorrência dos padrões colocacionais extraídos, assim como levantar outras colocações para serem incluídas nos DOI: 10.17851/2237-2083.23.3.833-881 RELIN, v. 834 23, Edição Especial, 2015. exercícios que irão compor o workbook. A proposta objetiva contribuir para a conscientização do aspecto colocacional e, principalmente, o desenvolvimento da fluência na língua inglesa.
