Background: Breast cancer has become a major public health problem in the current society, and its incidence rate ranks the first among Chinese female malignant tumors. This paper once again confirmed the efficacy of lncRNA in tumor regulation by introducing the mechanism of the diagnosis of breast cancer by the MIR497HG/miR-16-5p axis. Methods: The abnormal expression of MIR497HG in breast cancer was determined by RT-qPCR method, and the correlation between MIR497HG expression and clinicopathological characteristics of breast cancer patients was analyzed via Chi-square test. To understand the diagnostic potential of MIR497HG in breast cancer by drawing the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC). The overexpressed MIR497HG (pcDNA3.1-MIR497HG) was designed and constructed to explore the regulation of elevated MIR497HG on biological function of BT549 and Hs 578T cells through Transwell assays. Additionally, the luciferase gene reporter assay and Pearson analysis evaluated the targeting relationship of MIR497HG to miR-16-5p. Results: MIR497HG was decreased in breast cancer and had high diagnostic function, while elevated MIR497HG inhibited the migration and invasion of BT549 and Hs 578T cells. In terms of functional mechanism, miR-16-5p was the target of MIR497HG, and MIR497HG reversely regulated the miR-16-5p. miR-16-5p mimic reversed the effects of upregulated MIR497HG on cell biological function. Conclusions: In general, MIR497HG was decreased in breast cancer, and the MIR497HG/miR-16-5p axis regulated breast cancer tumorigenesis, providing effective insights for the diagnosis of patients. To assess the correlation between preoperative neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and risk of postoperative delirium (POD) in older patients undergoing noncardiac surgery. PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and Scopus were systematically retrieved from inception until February 2023. Two authors independently conducted the selection of literature, data extraction and statistical analysis. In this meta‐analysis, Review Manager 5.4 was used for statistical analysis, and the mean difference (MD) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) of preoperative NLR between the POD group and non‐POD group were calculated. We utilised the Newcastle–Ottawa Scale (NOS) to evaluate the quality of literature. Further, our meta‐analysis used a random‐effects model, and publication bias was evaluated by conducting a funnel plot. The correlation between preoperative NLR and POD was the primary outcome, and the secondary outcome was the association of other prognostic factors with the risk of POD. This meta‐analysis included seven studies with 2424 patients, of whom 403 were diagnosed with POD with an incidence of 16.63%. Results indicated a positive correlation between preoperative NLR and the risk of POD (MD = 1.06, 95% CI: 0.64–1.49; P < 0.001). Further, our results found that neutrophil counts, advanced age, longer surgery time, diabetes, and elevated C‐reactive protein were significantly associated with POD (MD = 0.98, 95% CI: 0.40–1.56; P = 0.001; MD = 4.20, 95% CI: 2.90–5.51; P < 0.001; MD = 0.15, 95% CI: 0.05–0.25; P < 0.01; OR = 1.42, 95% CI: 1.08–1.86; P = 0.01; MD = 1.26, 95% CI: 0.36–2.16; P < 0.01). Other factors including lymphocyte counts, hypertension and male gender were not significantly associated with POD (MD = −0.11, 95% CI: −0.27 to 0.05; P > 0.05; OR = 1.20, 95% CI: 0.91–1.58, P > 0.05; OR = 1.28, 95% CI: 1.00–1.63; P = 0.05). The expansion of cross‐border information and production resources is facilitated by information globalization through the transfer of fresh ideas, products, technologies, and business models. This encourages information globalization's potential to achieve environmental and other technological advancements in the meantime and helps to make greener production possible through value‐added trade. Prior research, however, largely ignored this aspect of globalization in global value chains' studies. In order to anticipate carbon emissions (CO2) in BRICS economies, this novel study aims to assess the significance of participation in global value chains (GVCs) and information globalization (ING). The innovative research uses nonparametric causality‐in‐quantiles techniques on quarterly data from 1995Q1 to 2018Q4 to quantify for causality‐in‐variance and causality‐in‐mean because there might not be any causation at the first stage but there might be higher‐order interdependencies. The results show that GVC and ING had high predictive capability for carbon emissions, indicating asymmetry regarding environmental sustainability. Additionally, GVC and information globalization asserted that there is a significant interaction effect when it comes to forecasting pollution levels in chosen nations. The provision of financial and R&D assistance for energy efficiency and green production, as well as the use of mass and social media to raise awareness among the firms participating in global value chains, may assist in achieving SDG 13 and Cope26's goal of reducing pollution by 2030. The finding contributes crucial insights for policymakers and enhances the discourse on sustainable hones inside GVCs. The HIRA Covid-19 OMOP database in South Korea is a valuable resource for Covid-19 research, providing comprehensive information on infected and uninfected individuals. It covers a significant portion of the South Korean population and includes data from January 2018 to April 2022. The database is linked to the Covid-19 confirmation list and death registry, and researchers can submit analytical codes for analysis to minimize the risk of personal information leakage. It is a reliable and culturally sensitive resource for researchers conducting Covid-19 studies in South Korea, although it does have limitations such as limited laboratory test results. Transmission of weak signals in neural networks is crucial for understanding the functionality of brain. In this work, stochastic resonance (SR) in the three neuron FitzHugh–Nagumo (FHN) motifs and its small-world network with higher order motif interactions are studied. Simulation results show that a single motif induces SR and responds better to high-frequency weak signal. Stronger coupling strength within the motif increases the firing rate of the output neurons, resulting in a more pronounced resonance. Considering only the connections within the motif, a higher in-degree of the output neuron or a shorter minimum path length between input and output neurons will lead to a better response to weak signals. SR phenomena can also be observed in small-world networks composed of these motif. Increasing whether the motif coupling or node coupling strength enhances the firing rate of output neurons, amplifying the response. There is a very strong correlation between firing rate of output neurons and response. Incorporating functional organic linkers into supertetrahedral chalcogenolate cluster-based materials is an effective synthetic strategy to expand structural diversity and generate tunable optical and photoelectric properties arising from synergistic effects. Herein, a mixed ligand engineering approach was adopted to design a supertetrahedral cluster-based assembled material [(Cd6Ag4(SPh)16(TPPA)(BPE)0.5)·2DMF]n (denoted as SCCAM-3) with a 2D bilayer architecture and broader visible-light absorption. Purpose: There is no approved targeted therapy for chordoma at present. Although several preclinical studies have implied the potential applicability of CDK4/6 inhibitor for this rare tumor, no clinical evidence has been documented so far. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the therapeutic efficacy of CDK4/6 inhibitor for chordoma. Methods: The next generation sequencing (as for whole-exome sequencing, WES assay) and immunohistochemical (IHC) staining of the chordoma tissue from a patient with an advanced lesion were performed before treatment. Then, the patient was treated with Palbociclib for 4 months until progression occurred in the 5th month. Surgical resection was implemented and the tumor tissue was obtained postoperatively for assessment of molecular alterations. Results: Molecular features of the tumor before medical treatment suggested applicability of CDK4/6 inhibitor and the patient showed partial response (PR) according to Choi Criteria after 4 months treating with Palbociclib until progression occurred. Then, a drastic molecular alteration of the tumor as represented by emergence of dramatic E2F amplification, which is known to induce CDK4/6 independent cell-cycle entry and progression after treatment, was detected. The findings in this patient demonstrated tumor evolution under drug pressure. Conclusion: The findings of the present study suggest the feasibility of Palbociclib for the clinical treatment of chordoma, and imply the necessity of combination therapies rather single drug administration due to the quick resistance of the tumor to Palbociclib treatment. A study published in the Plant Biotechnology Journal introduces a novel CRISPR/Cas9 system called the fluorescence marker and pollen killer-assisted CRISPR/Cas9 system (FMPKC) for efficient isolation of transgene-free edited plants in rice. The FMPKC system utilizes a DsRed2 fluorescence marker and a pollen killer to distinguish transgenic offspring and increase the proportion of non-transgenic seeds. The system was used to edit the internode length gene EUI1 and pollen fertility gene PTC1 in rice, resulting in the production of transgene-free plants. The FMPKC system shows promise for multi-target or multi-gene editing and has potential applications in rice functional genomics and breeding improvement. Harvesting sunlight into cost-effective electricity presents an enticing prospect for self-powered wearable applications. The photothermal materials with an extensive absorption are fundamental to achieve optical and thermal concentration of the sunlight for efficiency output electricity of wearable solar thermoelectric generators (STEGs). Here, we synthesize an organic charge-transfer (CT) cocrystal with a flat absorption from ultraviolet to second near-infrared region (200 to 1950 nanometers) and a high photothermal conversion efficiency (PCE) of 80.5%, which is introduced into polyurethane toward large-area nanofiber membrane by electrospinning technology. These corresponding membranes demonstrate a high PCE of 73.7% under the strain more than 80%. Sandwiched with carbon nanotube-based thermoelectric fibers, the membranes as stretchable solar absorbers of STEGs could supply a notably increase temperature gradient, processing a maximum output voltage density of 23.4 volts per square meter at 1:00 p.m. under sunlight. Two kinds of periodic composite pipes with support or dynamic vibration absorber are designed based on the theory of phononic crystals. Axial vibration and band gaps of composite fluid-filled pipe are calculated by using transfer matrix method and Bloch wave theory. The present fluid–structure interaction model and frequency domain calculation method are validated by comparing the velocity of fluid from a FEM model. The results show that the stop bands frequency of velocity responses are in good agreement with band gap. Background: Extracellular vesicles (EVs) from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUMSCs) are widely considered to be the best mediators for cell-free therapy. An understanding of their composition, especially RNA, is particularly important for the safe and precise application of EVs. Up to date, the knowledge of their RNA components is limited to NGS sequencing and cannot provide a comprehensive transcriptomic landscape, especially the long and full-length transcripts. Our study first focused on the transcriptomic profile of hUMSC-EVs based on nanopore sequencing. Methods: In this study, different EV subtypes (exosomes and microvesicles) derived from hUMSCs were isolated and identified by density gradient centrifugation. Subsequently, the realistic long transcriptomic profile in different subtypes of hUMSC-EVs was systematically compared by nanopore sequencing and bioinformatic analysis. Results: Abundant transcript variants were identified in EVs by nanopore sequencing, 69.34% of which transcripts were fragmented. A series of full-length and long transcripts was also observed and showed a significantly higher proportion of intact or near-complete transcripts in exosomes than that in microvesicles derived from hUMSCs. Although the composition of RNA biotypes transported by different EV subtypes was similar, the distribution of transcripts and genes revealed the inter-heterogeneity and intra-stability between exosomes and microvesicles. Further, 85 different expressed transcripts (56 genes) and 7 fusion genes were identified. Pathway enrichment analysis showed that upregulated-expressed genes in microvesicles were mainly enriched in multiple neurodegenerative diseases, while upregulated-expressed genes in exosomes were mainly enriched in neutrophil extracellular trap formation, suggesting different functional tendencies of EV subtypes. Conclusions: This study provides a novel understanding of different types of hUMSC-EVs, which not only suggests different transcriptome sorting mechanisms between exosomes and microvesicles, but also shows that different EV subtypes from the same source have different physiological functions, suggesting distinct clinical application prospects. Metal nanoparticles play an outstanding role in the field of wound healing due to their excellent properties, and the significance of iron, one of the most widely used metals globally, cannot be overlooked. The purpose of this review is to determine the importance of iron nanoparticles in wound-healing dressings. Prolonged, poorly healing wounds may induce infections; wound infections are a major cause of chronic wound formation. The primary components of iron nanoparticles are iron oxide nanoparticles, which promote wound healing by being antibacterial, releasing metal ions, and overcoming bacterial resistance. The diameter of iron oxide nanoparticles typically ranges between 1 and 100 nm. Magnetic nanoparticles with a diameter of less than 30 nm are superparamagnetic and are referred to as superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles. This subset of iron oxide nanoparticles can use an external magnetic field for novel functions such as magnetization and functionalization. Iron nanoparticles can serve clinical purposes not only to enhance wound healing through the aforementioned means but also to ameliorate anemia and glucose irregularities, capitalizing on iron's properties. The rampant spread of explicit content across social media can leave a damaging mark on our society. Hence, the need to be vigilant in detecting and curtailing sexually explicit content cannot be overstated. As such, it becomes paramount to discern and manage sexually explicit material to curb its dissemination and safeguard our digital communities from its harmful effects. In this article, we propose a unique technique entitled attention‐enabled pooling (ABP) embedded Swin transformer‐based YOLOv3 (ASYv3) for the detection of obscene areas present in the images with a bounding box around the offensive regions. ASYv3 employs a unique two‐step approach for enhanced performance in obscene detection. In the first step, a scalable and efficient Swin transformer block is integrated, utilizing self‐attention and model parallelism to train massive models effectively. In the second phase, the embedding layer of the Swin transformer is replaced with ABP, mitigating disruption of feature context. ABP allows for the projection of raw‐valued features into linear form with proper attention to feature context information at specified locations, resulting in optimized feature extraction. The proposed ABP embedded Swin transformer‐based YOLOv3 (ASYv3) was trained with annotated obscene images (AOI) dataset. The proposed ASYv3 model surpassed the state‐of‐the‐art methods by achieving 97% testing accuracy, 96.62% precision, 97.40% sensitivity, 3.48% FPR rate, 97.37% NPV values, and 95.59% mAP values, respectively. Background: Lotus root polysaccharide is a natural antioxidant. As a new anticancer drug, it has anti-proliferation and pro-apoptotic effects in a variety of tumour cells, but its effect on ovarian cancer is not clear. In study, we attempted to elucidate the role and mechanism of lotus root polysaccharide in SKOV3 cells. Methods: In this study, the effect of lotus root polysaccharide on mRNA of SKVO3 cells was analyzed by RNA-seq, and verified by Western blot, flow cytometry, fluorescence detection and other techniques. Results: The results showed that lotus root polysaccharide could inhibit the proliferation of ovarian cancer cells. Then, a change in gene expression was found by RNA-seq. In the mRNA (differentially expressed mRNA) with these differences, significant changes in the cell cycle were found by Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analysis. Subsequently, the proportion of cells in S phase decreases and G2/M phase increases, as seen with propidium iodide staining. Gene Set Enrichment Analysis showed inhibition of the cell cycle, and the gene and protein expression of CDK1, CCNA1 and CCNB1 were inhibited. Conclusion: Our results show that lotus root polysaccharide can inhibit the growth of SKOV3 cells in vitro by blocking the cell cycle at the G2/M phase, which reveals the potential of lotus root polysaccharide in the treatment of ovarian cancer. As a hearing disorder, sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) can be effectively detected by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). However, the manual detection of MRI scanning is subjective, time‐consuming, and unpredictable. An accurate and automatic computer‐aided diagnosis system is proposed for SNHL detection, providing reliable references for professionals. The system first employs a wavelet entropy layer to extract features of MRI images. Then, a neural network layer is proposed as the classifier consisting of a feedforward neural network (FNN) and an adaptive‐probability PSO (APPSO) algorithm. The authors prove the rotation‐variant property of the basic particle swarm optimization (PSO) by the algebraic property of matrix transformation. The property is unsuitable for optimising parameters of neural networks. Thus, in APPSO, the authors integrate the new update rules based on all‐dimensional variation and adaptive‐probability mechanism into the basic PSO, which can improve its searching ability without losing population diversity. The authors compare APPSO‐NN with FNN trained by five popular evolutionary algorithms. The simulation results show that APPSO performs best in training FNN. The method also compares with six state‐of‐the‐art methods. The simulation results show that the best performance in sensitivity and overall accuracy of hearing loss classification, which proves that the method is effective and promising for SNHL detection. Pedestrian object detection and tracking have attracted much attention in the computer vision field. An improved multi-pedestrian tracking model is proposed, which improves the basic framework of Deep SORT and integrates Mask R-CNN to realize the detection, tracking and pose estimation f pedestrian. The anchor boxes with the more suitable aspect ratio for pedestrian target are adopted, which replace the anchor boxes of RPN to speed up the model and improve performance without complex calculation. In addition, attention mechanism is introduced into the deep residual network, i. e., the lightweight SKNet is used to choose the best convolution kernel adaptively to improve the feature representation for target detection. The histogram of gradient feature combined with color information is adopted instead of the convolution feature, which improves appearance feature association matching in the Deep SORT model so as to track pedestrian targets effectively under occlusion. The impact of various improvements on the model are verified through ablation studies, and the proposed model is compared with the current mainstream model. Experimental results show that the improved models are effective, which improves MOTA of NSH by 6% on the MOT16 tracking data set. The test performance of our proposal on the public datasets is superior to that of the compared models. Countless cybercrime instances have shown the need for detecting and blocking obscene material from social media sites. Deep learning methods (DLMs) outperformed in recognizing obscene content flooded on many online platforms. However, these contemporary DLMs primarily treat the recognition of obscene content as a simple task of binary classification, rather than focusing on the labelling of obscene areas. Hence, many of these methods could not pay attention to the fact that misclassification samples are so diverse. Therefore, this paper focuses on two aspects (i) developing a deep learning model that could classify and label the obscene portion, and (ii) generating a labelled obscene image dataset with a wide variety of obscene samples to minimize the risks of inaccurate recognition. We have proposed a method named S3Pooling based bottleneck attention module (BAM) embedded MobileNetV2‐YOLOv3 (SBMYv3) for automatic detection of obscene content using an attention mechanism and a suitable pooling strategy. The key contributions of our article are: (i) generation of a well‐labelled obscene image dataset with a variety of augmentation strategies using Pix‐2‐Pix GAN (ii) modifications to the backend architecture of YOLOv3 using MobileNetV2 and BAM to ensure focused and accurate feature extraction, and (iii) selection of an optimal pooling strategy, that is, S3Pooling strategy, while taking the design of the feature extractor into account. The tremendous personal and economic burden worldwide caused by low back pain (LBP) has been surging in recent years. While intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) is the leading cause of LBP and vast efforts have been made to develop effective therapies, this problem is far from being resolved, as most treatments, such as painkillers and surgeries, mainly focus on relieving the symptoms rather than reversing the cause of IVDD. However, as stem/progenitor cells possess the potential to regenerate IVD, a deeper understanding of the early development and role of these cells could help to improve the effectiveness of stem/progenitor cell therapy in treating LBP. Single-cell RNA sequencing results provide fresh insights into the heterogeneity and development patterns of IVD progenitors; additionally, we compare mesenchymal stromal cells and IVD progenitors to provide a clearer view of the optimal cell source proposed for IVD regeneration. Fabrication of polyethylene (PE) pipe with significantly enhanced hoop strength and burst pressure is essential necessary for high transportation requirements. In this work, biaxially oriented PE/ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (PE/UHMWPE) blend pipes were fabricated on self-made pipe solid-phase die drawing apparatus. Due to formation of chain entanglement network and enhanced viscoelasticity, incorporation of UHMWPE chains improved stretchability and biaxial orientation degree of blend pipe. During die drawing, formation of more miscible blend system make long UHMWPE chains be sufficiently stretched under load, and such extended-chain conformation of UHMWPE acted as shish structure and induced short PE chains to array orderly and form kebab crystals. With increasing axial draw ratio, the lamellae remarkably deviated from hoop to axial direction, while the blend pipe exhibited higher crystallinity and orientation degree than that of PE pipe, presenting a more uniform and dense biaxial orientation structure with shish-kebab crystals. As a result, the blend pipe showed roughly 99% increase in tensile strength along hoop direction and 25% increase in burst pressure, respectively. Difficulty balance in the game level design is particularly important for user experience (UX). This study uses cognitive control and flow theory as a starting point, and based on the functional near-infrared spectroscopy technology, this research obtained oxygenated hemoglobin concentration (ΔHbO2) signals from three brain areas in the prefrontal cortex (PFC), namely the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), the ventral prefrontal cortex (VLPFC), and the frontal area (FPA). Combined with the subjective flow state scale to explore the reaction difference between the video game players (VGPs) and the non-video game players (NVGPs) during the entire period of playing video games and the moment of game difficulty changes. The results show that VGPs and NVGPs have significant differences between flow state and HbO2 signals in different brain regions of the PFC. The players' flow state is affected by the game difficulty. The HbO2 signals in the players' DLPFC and FPA have a linear dependence relation with the flow state. This research proves that VGPs and NVGPs have different UX with game difficulty changes from the cognitive perspective. Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) have become more prevalent in groundwater remediation due to their capacity for power generation, removal of pollution, ease of assembly, and low secondary contamination. It is currently being evaluated for practical application in an effort to eliminate groundwater pollution. However, a considerable majority of research was conducted in laboratories. But the operational circumstances including anaerobic characteristics, pH, and temperature vary at different sites. In addition, the complexity of contaminants and the positioning of MFCs significantly affect remediation performance. Taking the aforementioned factors into consideration, this review summarizes a bibliography on the application of MFCs for the remediation of groundwater contamination during the last ten decades and assesses the impact of environmental conditions on the treatment performance. The design of the reactor, including configuration, dimensions, electrodes, membranes, separators, and target contaminants are discussed. We propose a user-centered visual explorer (UcVE) for progressive comparing multiple visualization units in spatiotemporal space. We create unique unit visualization with the customizable aggregated view based on the visual metaphor of flower bursts. Each visualization unit is encoded with the abstraction of spatiotemporal properties. To reduce user cognition load, UcVE allows users to visualize, save, and track in-the-process exploration results. In coordination of storage sequence and block tracking views, UcVE can facilitate comparison with multiple visualization units concurrently, selected from historical and current exploration results. UcVE offers a flexible geo-based layout, with aggregation functions and temporal views of the timeline with categorized events, to maximize the user's exploration capabilities. Background: Laparoscopic hepatectomy (LH) is considered a safe and feasible treatment for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in recent studies. However, in elderly patients, application of LH still remains controversial, and the outcomes of LH versus open hepatectomy (OH) have not been fully evaluated. Our objective is to compare the short- and long-term outcomes of LH with OH in elderly patients with HCC. Materials and Methods: All studies comparing LH and OH in elderly patients with HCC were systematically searched in the databases of PubMed, EmBase, and Web of Science. Statistical analysis was conducted using Review Manager 5.3 (Cochrane Collaboration, 2014). The last search was performed on March 20, 2022. Short-term outcomes include blood loss, operation time, blood transfusion, overall and major postoperative complications, mortality, hospital stay, tumor size, and surgical margin. Long-term outcomes include 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival (OS); 1-, 3-, and 5-year disease-free survival (DFS); and 1-, 3-, and 5-year recurrence-free survival (RFS). Results: Fourteen studies involving 1596 patients were included in this meta-analysis. The short-term outcomes of LH were a shorter postoperative hospital stay and fewer overall and major postoperative complications (all P < .00001). However, there were no significant differences in operation time, blood loss, blood transfusion rate, surgical margin, tumor size, and mortality. For the long-term outcomes, LH is comparable with OH in terms of 1-, 3-, and 5-year OS; 1-, 3-, and 5-year DFS; and 1-, 3-, and 5-year RFS. In this work, the mechanical behavior and energy absorption characteristics of flexible fabric under hypervelocity impact (HVI) were investigated. Basalt fabric, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fabric, and aluminum alloy (Al) plate were chosen to be the sample materials for their excellent mechanical properties and applicative prospect in spacecraft shielding. HVI experiments had been conducted with the help of a two-stage light-gas gun facility, wherein Al projectile with 3.97 mm diameter was launched at velocities in the range 4.1~4.3 km/s. Impact conditions and areal density were kept constant for all targets. The microstructural damage morphology of fiber post-impact was characterized using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). Analysis results show that a brittle fracture occurred for Basalt fiber during HVI. On the contrary, the ductile fractures with large-scale plastic deformation and apparent thermal softening/melting of the material had happened on the UHMWPE fiber when subjected to a projectile impact. According to the HVI shielding performance and microstructural damage analysis results, it can be inferred that ductile fractures and thermal softening/melting of the material were the prevailing energy absorption behaviors of UHMWPE fabric, which leads to absorbing more impact energy than Basalt fabric and eventually, contributes the superior shielding performance. Ophiocordyceps sinensis (syn. Cordyceps sinensis) is a valuable medicinal fungus in traditional Chinese medicine, and one or more polysaccharides are the key constituents with important medical effects. Glycogen as a functional polysaccharide is widely identified in eukaryotes including fungi. However, there is no definitive report of glycogen presence in O. sinensis. In this study, we carefully fractionated polysaccharides from cultivated caterpillar fungus O. sinensis , which were then characterized via methods for glycogen analysis. According to the results, 1.03 ± 0.43 % of polysaccharides were quantified via amyloglucosidase digestion in the whole cultivated caterpillar fungus, which had a typical spherical shape under transmission electron microscope with an average peak radius of 37.63 ± 0.57 nm via size exclusion chromatography and an average chain length of 12.47 ± 0.94 degree of polymerization via fluorophore-assisted capillary electrophoresis. Back-arc extension has been well documented in subduction plate tectonic regimes. However, the reasons why back-arc extensions are associated with some subduction systems but not others have remained elusive. Here, spatio-temporal variations in the composition of Cenozoic basalts in the northeast Asian continental margin are used to constrain the mechanism for episodic back-arc extensions. Using geochemical data sensitive to tectonic affinity, we show that typical volcanic arc compositions are located in the eastern margin of northeast Asia, whereas coeval intraplate volcanic compositions are located in the western part of northeast Asia, and that the intraplate and arc volcanism exhibit two eastward shifts, from 52 Ma to 33 Ma and from 33 Ma to 21 Ma. Intraplate basalts dated at ca. 11 Ma display a weak, arc-like geochemical signature, which suggests that the upwelling of asthenospheric mantle resulted in the remelting of previously melt-extracted lithospheric mantle modified by slab-derived fluids and the cessation of back-arc extensions. Thus, we propose that the eastward mantle flow resulted in eastward shifts of back-arc extensions that led to the development of extensive Cenozoic arc and intraplate volcanism in the northeast Asian continental margin. Herein, a comparative study for the effect of nanoparticle networks on rheological behavior, electrical conductivity, and electromagnetic wave (EMW) shielding effectiveness (SE) is carried in conductive polymer composites (CPC). Two different polymers, that is, poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL) and isotactic polypropylene (iPP), which have different dispersion of multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT), are used as polymer matrices. A transmission electron microscope (TEM) and a scanning electron microscope (SEM) are employed to determine the dispersion of MWCNTs in different polymer matrices. A rotational rheometer and a vector network analyzer are used to evaluate the percolation thresholds of storage modulus, complex viscosity and EMW SE, respectively. The results indicate that the EMW SE percolation thresholds are much larger than the electrical and rheological percolation thresholds. Specifically, the percolation thresholds of storage modulus and complex viscosity are 0.39 and 0.33 vol% for the MWCNT/PCL samples, and 1.57 and 1.57 vol% for the MWCNT/iPP samples, respectively. The electrical and EMW SE percolation thresholds are 0.33 and 1.99 vol%, 1.24 and 5.41 vol% for the MWCNT/PCL and MWCNT/iPP nanocomposites, respectively. Inverse chaotic resonance is a phenomenon in which the neuronal mean firing rate exhibits a minimum with respect to the chaotic activity. In this paper, the inverse chaotic resonance phenomenon is investigated in the case of a single Hodgkin–Huxley neuron and a Hodgkin–Huxley neuronal small-world network, respectively. It is found that the inverse chaotic resonance can be modulated by the neuronal excitation level, and the duration of the inverse chaotic resonance is longer near the excitation threshold. Furthermore, we investigated the effect of chaotic activity on the collective discharge behavior of the small-world network. We find that the emergence of inverse chaotic resonance depends on the interplay between each neuron's excitation level, chaotic activity, and network inputs, where the latter in turn depend on types of synaptic currents. Background: Tracheal stents can be placed in a narrow position in the human trachea to ensure smooth breathing. And the stent will deform during service by the influence of the physiological environment or random excitations, such as coughing. Methods: This paper divides the vibration into periodic and random vibrations according to the different pressures. And a coupling vibration model was established by analyzing the contact relationship between the stent and the trachea tissue. And this study discusses the influence of tracheal diameter, respiratory pressure, and frequency on the stent vibration characteristics through Ansys simulation. In addition, the nonlinear equations were solved by the Matlab numerical analysis method, which could help analyze the influence of cough intensity on the stability of the tracheal stent system. Results: The results showed that when tracheal stenosis occurred in the trachea's more significant grade, the trachea stent was more likely to fall off when treated with a tracheal stent. With the increase in respiratory frequency and pressure, the deformation of the tracheal stent is more considerable. Moreover, the frequency of normal cough hardly affects the stability of the stent system, while the excitation force and damping coefficient value greatly influence the system. When the excitation force of the cough exceeds the critical importance of 20 N, the tracheal stent is prone to fall off. This study comprehensively obtained the forced vibration characteristics of the stent under service conditions, which could make up for the shortage of the vibration theory of the stent. Different nutrient supply brings about changes in leaf stoichiometry, which may affect growth rate and primary production of plants. Invasion of alien plants is a severe threat to biodiversity and ecosystem worldwide. A pot experiment was conducted by using three stoloniferous alien plants Wedelia trilobata, Alternanther philoxeroides and Hydrocotyle vulgaris to investigate effects of nutrient supply on their leaf stoichiometry and relative growth rate. Different nitrogen or phosphorus supply was applied in the experiment (N1:1 mmol L-1, N2:4 mmol L-1, and N3:8 mmol L-1, P1:0.15 mmol L-1, P2:0.6 mmol L-1 and P3:1.2 mmol L-1). Nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations in leaves of the three alien plants significantly increased with increase of nitrogen supply. With increase of phosphorus supply, nitrogen or phosphorus concentration of leaf was complex among the three alien plants. N:P ratio in leaf of the three alien plants subjected to different levels of nutrient supply was various. A positive correlation between relative growth rate and N:P ratio of the leaf is observed in W. trilobata and A. philoxeroides suffering from N-limitation. A similar pattern was not observed in Hydrocotyle vulgaris. We tentatively concluded that correlations between relative growth rate and N: P ratio of the leaf could be affected by species as well as nutrient supply. It is suggested that human activities, invasive history, local abundance of species et al maybe play an important role in the invasion of alien plants as well as relative growth rate. We investigate the molecular gas properties, especially the dense molecular gas in NGC 1614, using the ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/ submillimeter Array) high resolution archival data of 12 CO(1-0), 13 CO(1-0), 12 CO(3-2), 12 CO(6-5), HCN(3-2), HCO + (3-2), HCN(4-3), and HCO + (4-3). From the high-resolution integrated intensity maps, a ring structure was detected in the central region (< 1 kpc), and the molecular gas mainly distributes in the central region while there is little gas in the nucleus. The 12 CO(1-0) shows an extended structure to the south, north, and southeast, and CO (J ⩾ 3 , J is the quantum number of rotational vibration levels), HCN, and HCO + show that the dense gas mainly concentrated in the central region. Similarly, HCN(4-3)/ 12 CO(1-0) and HCO + (4-3)/ 12 CO(1-0) ratio maps show that the dense molecular gas is mainly concentrated in the ring of the central region. The HCN/HCO + ratios show that the different regions of the starburst ring might have different excitation conditions. The variations of HCN/HCO + values in different region of central region may be due to the gas density and temperature. For HCN/HCO + (4-3) ratio map, the higher intensity values (∼ 0.44 ± 0.04) were obtained in the eastern and western region of the ring, compared to the northern and southern region (∼ 0.35 ± 0.03). For HCN/HCO + (3-2) ratio map, the higher values (∼ 0.38 ± 0.04) are distributed at peak location of HCN(3-2) emission, while the lower values (∼ 0.3 ± 0.03) are distributed at the northwestern and southeastern region of the ring. Protein–protein interactions (PPIs) are fundamental to many biological processes. The coevolution-based prediction of interacting residues has made great strides in protein complexes that are known to interact. A multiple sequence alignment (MSA) is the basis of coevolution analysis. MSAs have recently made significant progress in the protein monomer sequence analysis. However, no standard or efficient pipelines are available for the sensitive protein complex MSA (cpxMSA) collection. How to generate cpxMSA is one of the most challenging problems of sequence coevolution analysis. Although several methods have been developed to address this problem, no standalone program exists. Furthermore, the number of built-in properties is limited; hence, it is often difficult for users to analyze sequence coevolution according to their desired cpxMSA. In this article, we developed a novel cpxMSA approach (cpxDeepMSA. We used different protein monomer databases and incorporated the three strategies (genomic distance, phylogeny information, and STRING interaction network) used to join the monomer MSA results of protein complexes, which can prevent using a single method fail to the joint two-monomer MSA causing the cpxMSA construction failure. We anticipate that the cpxDeepMSA algorithm will become a useful high-throughput tool in protein complex structure predictions, inter-protein residue-residue contacts, and the biological sequence coevolution analysis. To make full use of the flexible adjustment capability of DC tie-lines in multiarea AC/DC systems and to coordinate the generation resources and load demand of multiarea AC/DC systems, this paper presents an intraday two-stage hierarchical optimal scheduling model for multiarea AC/DC systems based on analytical target cascading (ATC). To avoid repeated adjustment and overadjustment of DC tie-lines after wind power integration, a two-stage rolling coordinated scheduling model for the area subsystem based on model predictive control (MPC) is proposed. The two-stage rolling coordinated scheduling method takes into consideration the influence of the predicted value in the future finite time domain and the latest measured DC tie-line power on the current scheduling state. Based on the ATC and the area decomposition criterion of the AC/DC grid, an optimal scheduling model for the upper-level system is proposed that takes into consideration the DC tie-line adjustment constraints and the area coupling constraints. The optimal scheduling model for the upper-level system formulates the two-stage DC tie-line plan for the multiarea AC/DC system, and the two-stage rolling coordinated scheduling model of the area subsystem solves the subproblems of the generation plan for each area subsystem in a parallel manner considering the area coupling constraints. The proposed method can achieve intraday two-stage decoupling scheduling of multiarea AC/DC systems and promote the cross-area consumption of large-scale wind power through flexible adjustment of the DC tie line. The slinger is an important configuration of an aeroengine combustion chamber. It is well matched to smaller gas turbines that are more sensitive to cost than larger and more sophisticated models. The slinger combustor is inherently low cost itself, by eliminating fuel injectors and much of the fuel tubing and manifolding and also reducing costs in the requirements of the main fuel pump by operating at fuel delta pressures significantly lower than conventional fuel systems. The slinger's inherent drawbacks of increased combustion liner surface area and less atomization are less of a concern in a lower temperature, lower cost small turbines. The slinger's internal flow is of great significance to fuel atomization. This paper conducts experiments and numerical simulations on the slinger fuel injector. Numerical analysis and high-speed photography of the fuel slinger were applied to investigate the film flow pattern inside the slinger and the liquid phase distribution inside the combustion chamber to predict the flow field in an aeroengine combustion chamber. The transient Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes method, the volume of fluid method, and the discrete phase method were adopted in the simulation, and a high-speed camera and the rotational rig were used to perform the experiments. The nonaxisymmetric flow was present in the slinger and the combustor space. In the simulation results, the total mass-flow rate varies with time. Each hole's mass-flow rate value in the slinger is also different at the same time. The Sauter mean diameter (SMD) difference for each injection orifice is relatively small compared with the SMD difference caused by a rotation rate. The spatial distribution of the spray is also uneven as shown in the result of different single discharge channels' mass-flow rates. The experimental photos confirmed the simulation outcomes. The general theoretical analysis was made that these nonaxisymmetric phenomena were driven by the combined action of centrifugal force, surface tension, and instability phenomenon. Background: Uniparental disomy (UPD) is a condition in which both chromosomes are inherited from the same parent, except for imprinting disorders. Uniparental isodisomy (UPiD) may result in a homozygous variant contributing to an autosomal recessive disorder in the offspring of a heterozygous carrier. Junctional epidermolysis bullosa intermediate (JEB intermediate) is an autosomal recessive inherited disease that is associated with a series of gene variants, including those of COL17A1. Case presentation: We report the first case of complete paternal UPiD of chromosome 10 harbouring a novel homozygous variant in COL17A1: c.1880(exon23)delG (p.G627Afs*56). This variant led to the clinical phenotype of junctional epidermolysis bullosa intermediate in a 5-year-old child. Trio-whole exome sequencing (Trio-WES) and in silico data analysis were used for variant identification, Sanger sequencing was performed for variant validation, and pathological examination was performed as the gold standard for phenotype confirmation. Conclusions: We recommend the use of WES as a first-tier test for the diagnosis of epidermolysis bullosa, especially for paediatric patients. Galectins are a family of proteins with at least one carbohydrate-recognition domain. Galectins are present in various tissues and organs and participate in different physiological and pathological molecular reactions in vivo. Wound healing is the basic process of traumatic disease recovery. Wound healing involves three overlapping stages: inflammation, proliferation, and remodelling. Furthermore, a comparison of wound healing with the tumour microenvironment revealed that galectin plays a key role in the wound healing process. The current review describes the role of galectin in inflammation, angiogenesis, re-epithelialisation, and fibrous scar formation and evaluates its potential as a therapeutic drug for wounds. Background: The principal objective of this project was to investigate the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) gene mutation characteristics of lung cancer patients, which can provide a molecular basis for explaining the clinicopathological features, epidemiology and use of targeted therapy in lung cancer patients in the coal-producing areas of East Yunnan. Methodology: We collected 864 pathologically confirmed lung cancer patients' specimens in First People's Hospital of Qujing City of Yunnan Province from September 2016 to September 2021. We thereafter employed Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology to detect all exons present in the EGFR gene. Results: The overall mutation frequency of the EGFR gene was 47.22%. The frequency of EGFR gene mutations in the tissue, plasma, and cytology samples were found to be 53.40%, 23.33%, and 62.50%, respectively. Univariate analysis indicated that the coal-producing areas and Fuyuan county origin were significantly associated with relatively low EGFR gene mutation frequency. Female, non-smoking history, adenocarcinoma, non-brain metastasis, and tissue specimens were found to be related to high EGFR gene mutation frequency. Multivariate logistic regression analysis suggested the lung cancer patients in the central area of Qujing City, stage Ia, non-coal-producing areas, non-Fuyuan origin, and non-Xuanwei origin were more likely to develop EGFR gene mutations. The most common mutations were L858R point mutation (33.09%) and exon 19 deletion (19-del) (21.32%). Interestingly, the mutation frequency of G719X (p = 0.001) and G719X + S768I (p = 0.000) in the coal-producing areas were noted to be more significant than those in non-coal-producing regions. Conclusion: This findings of this study might be important in establishing the correlation between routine using NGS for EGFR gene mutation diagnosis and clinical practice in the lung cancer patients. Effect of solution treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-12Si-4Cu-2Ni-0.8Mg-0.2Gd alloy was investigated. Results show the Si particles become stable and more intermetallic compounds dissolve in the matrix after solution treatment at 500 °C for 2 h followed by 540 °C for 3 h (T4). The skeleton-like Al3CuNi develops into two parts in the T4 alloy: one is Al3CuNi which has the framework shape; the other is intermetallics including the Al3CuNi (size: 5–10 µm) and AlSiCuNiGd phases (size: ≤5 µm) with complex structure. Adding 0.2% Gd can improve the mechanical properties of the alloys after two-step solution treatment (500 °C/2 h followed by 540 °C/3 h), the hardness of the alloy increases from 130.9 HV to 135.8 HV compared with the alloy with one-step solution treatment (500 °C/2 h), the engineering strength increases from 335.45 MPa to 352.03 MPa and the fracture engineering strain increases from 1.44% to 1.67%. Remote sensing of surface pressure from space is critical; differential absorption LIDAR and differential absorption radar are only two kinds of remote sensing instruments with this potential. The differential absorption LIDAR works in integral path mode from the satellite in low-Earth orbit. It measures the differential optical depth of the Oxygen A-band, and the surface pressure is thereafter obtained by performing circle-iterative calculation. Performance evaluation of the differential absorption LIDAR model was conducted with respect to the advanced system parameters of the space instrument, Low echo pulse energy at ocean surface and the challenging calculation of repetitive cumulative average of echo on uneven land surface yielded random errors in surface pressure measurement. On the other hand, uncertain atmospheric temperature and water vapor mixture profiles resulted in systematic error of surface pressure. Consequently, controlling the error of surface pressure within 0.1% proved challenging. Under a strict implementation of the error budget, the time resolution is 6.25 s and along-orbit distance resolution is 44km, and the results showed that 765.6735/765.4637 nm is suitable as the working wavelength pair. Further, error could be expected to within 0.2-0.3% for the cumulative average of 625 ocean surface laser pulse echoes, cumulative average of more than 144 pulse echoes on land, and observation from the 400km orbit. Aim: Fruit category classification is important in factory packing and transportation, price prediction, dietary intake, and so forth. Methods: This study proposed a novel artificial intelligence system to classify fruit categories. First, 2D fractional Fourier entropy with rotation angle vector grid was used to extract features from fruit images. Afterwards, a five‐layer stacked sparse autoencoder was used as the classifier. Results: Ten runs on the test set showed our method achieved a micro‐averaged F1 score of 95.08% for an 18‐category fruit dataset. Background: The male reproductive system consists of the testes, epididymis, accessorygonads, and genital ducts. The physiological integrity of the testicles is essential forsuccessful sperm production, but the testes are susceptible to a variety of exogenous andendogenous toxins, which can lead to structural damage to tissues and spermabnormalities. Spermatogenesis is always in a homeostatic process and is sensitive to changes intheexternal environment. Huperzia serrata flavonoids (HSF) have a variety of pharmacological effects, including the treatment of bruises, strains, etc. HSF can improve the reproductivefunction of male mice, so the purpose of this experiment is to explore whether huperzineflavonoids are involved in and regulate the male reproductive process. Methods: Ourexperimental animals were ICR mice, and samples were collected after 28 days of HSFtreatment, and verified by a series of experimental methods such as immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, HE staining, protein hybridization, and screening of relatedgenes. Results: RNA sequencing results showed that HSF up-regulated genes related to spermdevelopment and differentiation in testes and promoted spermatogenesis. HSF is effectiveinpromoting steroid hormone synthesis by modulating STAR, CYP11A1, and CYP17A1. In the present study, the prevalence and intensity of Perkinsus infection in wild populations of Manila clams and 10 sympatric species from three sites were investigated by Ray's fluid thioglycolate medium (RFTM) assay seasonally across a single year. Perkinsus infection was only identified in Manila clams, with a high prevalence (274/284 = 96.48 %) and low intensity (89.8 % with a Mackin value ≤ 2, suggesting generally low-intensity infections) throughout the year. Heavily infected clams were mainly identified in Tianheng in January, which displayed no macroscopic signs of disease. An overview of the whole visceral mass section showed that the trophozoites mostly aggregated in gills and connective tissue of the digestive tract, to a lesser extent in the mantle and foot, and even less frequently in adductor muscle and connective tissues of the gonad. PCR and ITS-5.8S rRNA sequencing of 93 representative RFTM-positive samples revealed a 99.69 to 100 % DNA sequence identity to Perkinsus olseni. Unexpectedly, significantly higher infection intensities were usually identified in January and April when the Condition Index (CI) was relatively high. We propose that factors associated with the anthropogenic harvesting pressure and irregular disturbances should be responsible for the uncommon seasonal infection dynamics of perkinsosis observed in the present study. In the paper, we are concerned with the existence and uniqueness of solution for tensor complementarity problem (TCP) and tensor absolute value equations (TAVEs) with special structure. First, we give a sufficient condition of P tensors by using the nonsingularity of the relevant tensors and the properties of eigenvalues. In addition, we give the conditions for the existence and uniqueness of solution for the TCP and prove that the TAVEs with a special structure are equivalent to the TCP. Based on these, using the equivalence relationship with the TCP, some sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of solution for the TAVEs with special structure are given. Solid‐state fluorescent materials play a critical role in the manufacture of light‐emitting diodes, laser dyes, storage materials, and fluorescence sensors. However, it remains challenging to produce solid‐state fluorescent materials using traditional organic dyes since most are subject to aggregation‐caused quenching (ACQ) in the solid state. Here, a macrocycle‐derived crystalline framework is reported that captures various cationic test‐ACQ dyes (e.g., Basic Red 2 (BR2)) and stabilizes them in a fluorescent form. Cyclo[3](1,3‐benzene)[3](4,6‐benzene)(1,3‐dicarboxylic acid), CA‐3, is used as the core macrocyclic building block. When allowed to coordinate with Zn(NO3)2•6H2O or Cd(NO3)2•4H2O, crystalline sponge (CS‐Zn or CS‐Cd) is obtained. In the case of CS‐Zn, nano‐sized cavities are observed in the solid state that serve as containers to capture the cationic ACQ dye BR2 with loading yields up to 14.6 wt% and emission enhancements up to 41× of those seen for solid BR2. The resulting dye‐containing material, CS‐Zn@BR2, displays high stability in water or selected organic solvents at room temperature or under reflux, or when heated at 300 °C for 1 h open to the air, or in the presence of sodium hypochlorite solution (3.0 mm). In recent years, 4D printing has gained increasing attention in the tissue engineering field since this advanced manufacturing platform can create stimulus-responsive structures, which can change their shapes, functions, and/or properties when appropriate external stimulus/stimuli is/are applied. A number of hydrogels with swellable/shrinkable abilities have been explored for 4D printing to fabricate different shape-morphing structures for tissue engineering. Among them, gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) has been 4D printed, which can self-fold into microtubular structures. Currently, the self-folding ability of 4D printed GelMA hydrogels is mainly based on the different cross-linking degrees (which control and govern the swelling degrees) across the thickness of hydrogels. However, this strategy alone can only form self-folding GelMA tubes with diameters at the micrometer level and cannot create self-folding GelMA tubes with diameters at the millimeter level, which is mainly due to the insufficient internal force generated in 4D printed GelMA hydrogels when they are exposed to water. To overcome this limitation, this study has investigated a new strategy to fabricate self-folding GelMA tubes with large diameters at the millimeter level for tissue engineering applications. The new strategy introduced a cross-linking degree gradient across the GelMA plane in addition to its thickness by printing a second layer of strips on the first 4D printed GelMA film. In the aqueous environment, under the current fabrication condition, such bilayer GelMA hydrogels could self-fold into tubes of larger diameters up to 6 mm. The in vitro release behavior of heparin incorporated into the 4D printed GelMA was also studied. It was shown that heparin release could be controlled by the GelMA concentration and heparin content in 4D printed GelMA. The 4D printed GelMA hydrogels with the improved self-folding ability and controlled release of a drug are promising for targeted tissue engineering applications. Within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization, we calculate the next-to-leading-order (NLO) perturbative corrections to the radiative decay Υ → ηc(χcJ) + γ. Both the helicity amplitudes and the helicity decay widths are obtained. It is the first computation for the processes involving both bottomonium and charmonium at two-loop accuracy. By employing the Cheng-Wu theorem, we are able to convert most of complex-valued master integrals (MIs) into real-valued MIs, which makes the numerical integration much efficient. Our results indicate the O α s corrections are moderate for ηc and χc2 production, and are quite marginal for χc0 and χc1 production. It is impressive to note the NLO corrections considerably reduce the renormalization scale dependence in both the decay widths and the branching fractions for χcJ, and slightly improve that for ηc. With the NRQCD matrix elements evaluated via the Buchmüller-Tye potential model, we find the decay width for ηc production is one-order-of-magnitude larger than χcJ production, which may provide a good opportunity to search for Υ → ηc + γ in experiment. In addition, the decay width for χc1 production is several times larger than those for χc0,2. Finally, we find the NLO NRQCD prediction for the branching fraction of Υ → χc1 + γ is only half of the lower bound of the experimental data measured recently by Belle. Moreover, there exists serious contradiction between theory and experiment for Υ → ηc + γ. The discrepancies between theory and experiment deserve further research efforts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We report a molecular switching ensemble whose states may be regulated in synergistic fashion by both protonation and photoirradiation. This allows hierarchical control in both a kinetic and thermodynamic sense. These pseudorotaxane-based molecular devices exploit the so-called Texas-sized molecular box (cyclo[2]-(2,6-di(1Himidazol- 1-yl)pyridine)[2](1,4-dimethylenebenzene); 14+, studied as its tetrakis-PF6 2 salt) as the wheel component. Anions of azobenzene- 4,40-dicarboxylic acid (2H+•2) or 4,40-stilbenedicarboxylic acid (2H+•3) serve as the threading rod elements. The various forms of 2 and 3 (neutral, monoprotonated, and diprotonated) interact differently with 14+, as do the photoinduced cis or trans forms of these classic photoactive guests. The net result is a multimodal molecular switch that can be regulated in synergistic fashion through protonation/deprotonation and photoirradiation. The degree of guest protonation is the dominating control factor, with light acting as a secondary regulatory stimulus. The present dual input strategy provides a complement to more traditional orthogonal stimulus-based approaches to molecular switching and allows for the creation of nonbinary stimulus-responsive functional materials.
