The observations of compact star inspirals from LIGO/Virgo combined with mass and radius measurements from NICER provide a valuable tool to study the highly uncertain equation of state (EOS) of dense matter at the densities characteristic of compact stars. In this work, we constrain the solid states of strange-cluster matter, called strangeon matter, as the putative basic units of the ground state of bulk strong matter using a Bayesian statistical method, incorporating the mass and radius measurements of PSR J0030+0451, PSR J0740+6620, and the recent data for the $1.4\ M_{\odot}$ pulsar PSR J0437-4715. We also include constraints from gravitational wave events GW170817 and GW190814. Under the prior assumption of a finite number of quarks in a strangeon, $N_{\rm q}$, our analysis reveals that current mass-radius measurements favor a larger $N_{\rm q}$. Specifically, the results support the scenario where a strangeon forms a stable bound state with $N_{\rm q}=18$, symmetric in color, flavor, and spin spaces, compared to the minimum $N_{\rm q}$ prior. The comparative analyses of the posterior EOS parameter spaces derived from three-parameter model and two-parameter model demonstrate a consistent prediction under identical observational constraints. In particular, our results indicate that the most probable values of the maximum mass are found to be $3.58^{+0.16}_{-0.12}\ M_{\odot}$ ($3.65^{+0.18}_{-0.16}\ M_{\odot}$) at $90\%$ confidence level for three-parameter (two-parameter) EOS considering the constraints of GW190814. The corresponding radii for $1.4\ M_{\odot}$ and $2.1\ M_{\odot}$ stars are $12.04^{+0.27}_{-0.31}~\rm km$ ($12.16^{+0.26}_{-0.31}~\rm km$) and $13.43^{+0.31}_{-0.32}~\rm km$ ($13.60^{+0.29}_{-0.34}~\rm km$), respectively. In this article, motivated by the regularity theory of the solutions of doubly nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations the authors introduce the off-diagonal two-weight version of the parabolic Muckenhoupt class with time lag. Then the authors introduce the uncentered parabolic fractional maximal operator with time lag and characterize its two-weighted boundedness (including the endpoint case) via these weights under an extra mild assumption (which is not necessary for one-weight case). The most novelty of this article exists in that the authors further introduce a new parabolic shaped domain and its corresponding parabolic fractional integral with time lag and, moreover, applying the aforementioned two-weighted boundedness of the uncentered parabolic fractional maximal operator with time lag, the authors characterize the (two-)weighted boundedness (including the endpoint case) of these parabolic fractional integrals in terms of the off-diagonal (two-weight) parabolic Muckenhoupt class with time lag; as applications, the authors further establish a parabolic weighted Sobolev embedding and a priori estimate for the solution of the heat equation. The key tools to achieve these include the parabolic Calder\'on--Zygmund-type decomposition, the chaining argument, and the parabolic Welland inequality which is obtained by making the utmost of the geometrical relation between the parabolic shaped domain and the parabolic rectangle.

We extend the parity doublet model for hadronic matter and study the possible presence of quark matter inside the cores of neutron stars with the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model. Considering the uncertainties of the QCD phase diagram and the location of the critical endpoint, we aim to explore the competition between the chiral phase transition and the deconfinement phase transition systematically, regulated by the vacuum pressure $-B$ in the NJL model. Employing a Maxwell construction, a sharp first-order deconfinement phase transition is implemented combining the parity doublet model for the hadronic phase and the NJL model for the high-energy quark phase. The position of the chiral phase transition is obtained from the NJL model self-consistently. We find stable neutron stars with a quark core within a specific parameter space that satisfies current astronomical observations. The observations suggest a relatively large chiral invariant mass $m_0=600$ MeV in the parity doublet model and a larger split between the chiral and deconfinement phase transitions while assuming the first-order deconfinement phase transition. The maximum mass of the hybrid star that we obtain is $\sim 2.2 M_{\odot}$., Comment: 10pages,7 figures

We investigate the possibility and impacts of a first-order phase transition from hadronic matter to quark matter in neutron stars (NSs) using two specific models: the parity doublet model (PDM) for the hadronic phase and the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) type model for the quark phase. By combining these models, we construct hybrid equations of state (EOSs) that capture the transition between the two phases. We explore the parameter space of both models to identify the conditions under which a first-order phase transition can occur and study its effects on NS properties. We identify the suitable parameter space and constrain the onset density of the first-order phase transition. For $m_0$ = 500 MeV -- the chiral invariant mass in PDM, the phase transition occurs between 1.9$n_0$ and 2.95$n_0$ and ends between 2.1$n_0$ and 3.6$n_0$. Increasing $m_0$ to 600 MeV shifts the phase transition to higher densities, occurring between 2.9$n_0$ and 4.1$n_0$ and ending between 3.4$n_0$ and 4.6$n_0$.

In this article, via first establishing a weighted variant of the profound and far-reaching inequality obtained by A. Cohen, W. Dahmen, I. Daubechies, and R. DeVore in 2003, the authors give two new characterizations of Muckenhoupt weights. As an application, the authors further establish a representation formula of gradients with sharp parameters in ball Banach function spaces, which extends the famous formula obtained by H. Brezis, A. Seeger, J. Van Schaftingen, and P.-L. Yung in 2021 from classical Sobolev spaces to various different Sobolev-type spaces and gives an affirmative answer to the question in page 29 of [Calc. Var. Quantum heat engines and refrigerators are open quantum systems, whose dynamics can be well understood using a non-Hermitian formalism. A prominent feature of non-Hermiticity is the existence of exceptional points (EPs), which has no counterpart in closed quantum systems. It has been shown in classical systems that dynamical encirclement in the vicinity of an EP, whether the loop includes the EP or not, could lead to chiral mode conversion. Here, we show that this is valid also for quantum systems when dynamical encircling is performed in the vicinity of their Liouvillian EPs (LEPs) which include the effects of quantum jumps and associated noise - an important quantum feature not present in previous works. We demonstrate, using a Paul-trapped ultracold ion, the first chiral quantum heating and refrigeration by dynamically encircling a closed loop in the vicinity of an LEP. We witness the cycling direction to be associated with the chirality and heat release (absorption) of the quantum heat engine (quantum refrigerator). Our experiments have revealed that not only the adiabaticity-breakdown but also the Landau-Zener-St\"uckelberg process play an essential role during dynamic encircling, resulting in chiral thermodynamic cycles. We extend the affine inequalities on $\mathbb{R}^n$ for Sobolev functions in $W^{s,p}$ with $1 \leq p < n/s$ obtained recently by Haddad-Ludwig [16, 17] to the remaining range $p \geq n/s$. For each value of $s$, our results are stronger than affine Moser-Trudinger and Morrey inequalities. As a byproduct, we establish the analog of the classical $L^p$ Bourgain-Brezis-Mironescu inequalities related to the Moser-Trudinger case $p=n$. Our main tool is the affine invariant provided by Besov polar projection bodies.

Large uncertainties in the determinations of the equation of state of dense stellar matter allow the intriguing possibility that the bulk quark matter in beta equilibrium might be the true ground state of the matter at zero pressure. And quarks will form Cooper pairs very readily since the dominant interaction between quarks is attractive in some channels. As a result, quark matter will generically exhibit color superconductivity, with the favored pairing pattern at intermediately high densities being two-flavor pairing. This is the last one of three successive articles by the authors on matrix-weighted Besov-type and Triebel--Lizorkin-type spaces $\dot B^{s,\tau}_{p,q}(W)$ and $\dot F^{s,\tau}_{p,q}(W)$. In this article, the authors establish the molecular and the wavelet characterizations of these spaces. Furthermore, as applications, the authors obtain the optimal boundedness of trace operators, pseudo-differential operators, and Calder\'on--Zygmund operators on these spaces. Due to the sharp boundedness of almost diagonal operators on their related sequence spaces obtained in the second article of this series, all results presented in this article improve their counterparts on matrix-weighted Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin spaces $\dot B^{s}_{p,q}(W)$ and $\dot F^{s}_{p,q}(W)$. This article is the second one of three successive articles of the authors on the matrix-weighted Besov-type and Triebel--Lizorkin-type spaces. In this article, we obtain the sharp boundedness of almost diagonal operators on matrix-weighted Besov-type and Triebel--Lizorkin-type sequence spaces. These results not only possess broad generality but also improve several existing related results in various special cases covered by this family of spaces. This improvement depends, on the one hand, on the notion of $A_p$-dimensions of matrix weights and their properties introduced in the first article of this series and, on the other hand, on a careful direct analysis of sequences of averages avoiding maximal operators. While a recent matrix-weighted extension of the Fefferman--Stein vector-valued maximal inequality would provide an alternative route to some of our results in the restricted range of function space parameters $p,q\in(1,\infty)$, our approach covers the full scale of exponents $p\in(0,\infty)$ and $q\in(0,\infty]$ that is relevant in the theory of function spaces., Comment: We split the article arXiv:2304.00292 into three articles and this is the second one. We provide several new characterizations of $A_{p,\infty}$-matrix weights, originally introduced by A. Volberg as matrix-valued substitutes of the classical $A_\infty$ weights. In analogy with the notion of $A_p$-dimension of matrix weights introduced in our previous work, we introduce the concepts of the lower and the upper dimensions of $A_{p,\infty}$-matrix weights, which enable us to obtain sharp estimates related to their reducing operators. In this work, we propose Branch-to-Trunk network (BTNet), a representation learning method for multi-resolution face recognition. It consists of a trunk network (TNet), namely a unified encoder, and multiple branch networks (BNets), namely resolution adapters. As per the input, a resolution-specific BNet is used and the output are implanted as feature maps in the feature pyramid of TNet, at a layer with the same resolution. The discriminability of tiny faces is significantly improved, as the interpolation error introduced by rescaling, especially up-sampling, is mitigated on the inputs. With branch distillation and backward-compatible training, BTNet transfers discriminative high-resolution information to multiple branches while guaranteeing representation compatibility. Our experiments demonstrate strong performance on face recognition benchmarks, both for multi-resolution identity matching and feature aggregation, with much less computation amount and parameter storage. The recommendation of appropriate development pathways, also known as ecological civilization patterns for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (namely, sustainable development patterns), are of utmost importance for promoting ecological, economic, social, and resource sustainability in a specific region. To achieve this, the recommendation process must carefully consider the region's natural, environmental, resource, and economic characteristics. However, current recommendation algorithms in the field of computer science fall short in adequately addressing the spatial heterogeneity related to environment and sparsity of regional historical interaction data, which limits their effectiveness in recommending sustainable development patterns. To overcome these challenges, this paper proposes a method called User Graph after Pruning and Intent Graph (UGPIG). Firstly, we utilize the high-density linking capability of the pruned User Graph to address the issue of spatial heterogeneity neglect in recommendation algorithms. Secondly, we construct an Intent Graph by incorporating the intent network, which captures the preferences for attributes including environmental elements of target regions. This approach effectively alleviates the problem of sparse historical interaction data in the region. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate that UGPIG outperforms state-of-the-art recommendation algorithms like KGCN, KGAT, and KGIN in sustainable development pattern recommendations, with a maximum improvement of 9.61% in Top-3 recommendation performance.

In this paper we obtain new quantitative estimates that improve the classical inequalities: Poincar\'e-Ponce, Gaussian Sobolev, and John-Nirenberg. Our method is based on the K-functionals and allows one to derive self-improving type inequalities. We show the optimality of the method by obtaining new Bourgain-Brezis-Mironescu and Maz'ya-Shaposhnikova limiting formulas. In particular, we derive these formulas for fractional powers of infinitesimal generators of operator semigroups on Banach spaces.

Let $(\mathcal{X},d,\mu)$ be a doubling metric measure space in the sense of R. R. Coifman and G. Weiss, $L$ a non-negative self-adjoint operator on $L^2(\mathcal{X})$ satisfying the Davies--Gaffney estimate, and $X(\mathcal{X})$ a ball quasi-Banach function space on $\mathcal{X}$ satisfying some mild assumptions. In this article, the authors introduce the Hardy type space $H_{X,\,L}(\mathcal{X})$ by the Lusin area function associated with $L$ and establish the atomic and the molecular characterizations of $H_{X,\,L}(\mathcal{X}).$ As an application of these characterizations of $H_{X,\,L}(\mathcal{X})$, the authors obtain the boundedness of spectral multiplies on $H_{X,\,L}(\mathcal{X})$. In this work, a modified two-flavor NJL-type model is utilized, in which the contact current-current interaction is Fierz-transformed into quark-antiquark interactions and quark-quark interactions, which are directly related to the chiral condensate and diquark condensate, respectively. Under mean-field approximation, the chiral condensate and the diquark condensate are studied on the same footing. We discuss in detail the competition between the chiral condensate and the diquark condensate, which are exclusively paired with u and d quarks, while also investigating the order of the chiral phase transition through an analysis of the resulting chiral susceptibility., Comment: 9 pages,5 figures, Phys. It is well known that Besov-type spaces $\dot B^{s,\tau}_{p,q}$ with $p\in (0,\infty]$ and Triebel--Lizorkin-type spaces $\dot F^{s,\tau}_{p,q}$ with $p\in (0,\infty)$ when $\tau\in [0,\infty)$ or with $p\in (0,\infty]$ when $\tau=0$ on $\mathbb{R}^n$ consist of a general family of function spaces that cover not only the well-known Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin spaces $\dot B^{s}_{p,q}$ and $\dot F^{s}_{p,q}$ (when $\tau=0$) but also several other function spaces of interest, such as Morrey spaces and $Q$ spaces. In three successive articles, the authors develop a complete real-variable theory of matrix-weighted Besov-type spaces $\dot B^{s,\tau}_{p,q}(W)$ and matrix-weighted Triebel--Lizorkin-type spaces $\dot F^{s,\tau}_{p,q}(W)$ on $\mathbb{R}^n$, where $W$ is a matrix-valued Muckenhoupt $A_p$ weight. This article is the first one, whose main novelty exists in that the authors introduce the new concept, $A_p$-dimensions of matrix weights, and intensively study their properties, especially those elaborate properties expressed via reducing operators. The authors then introduce the spaces $\dot B^{s,\tau}_{p,q}(W)$ and $\dot F^{s,\tau}_{p,q}(W)$ and, using $A_p$-dimensions and their nice properties, the authors establish the $\varphi$-transform characterization of $\dot B^{s,\tau}_{p,q}(W)$ and $\dot F^{s,\tau}_{p,q}(W)$. The $A_p$-dimensions of matrix weights and their properties also enable the authors to obtain the sharp boundedness of almost diagonal operators on related sequence spaces in the subsequent second article and the optimal characterizations of molecules and wavelets, trace theorems, and the optimal boundedness of pseudo-differential operators and Calder\'on--Zygmund operators in the subsequent third article., Comment: 74 pages.
