The C(sp3)–N bond is ubiquitous in natural products, pharmaceuticals, biologically active molecules and functional materials. Consequently, the development of practical and efficient methods for C(sp3)–N bond formation has attracted more and more attention. Compared to the conventional ionic pathway-based thermal methods, photochemical processes that proceed through radical mechanisms by merging photoredox and transition-metal catalyses have emerged as powerful and alternative tools for C(sp3)–N bond formation. In this review, recent advances in the burgeoning field of C(sp3)–N bond formation via metallaphotoredox catalysis have been highlighted. The contents of this review are categorized according to the transition metals used (copper, nickel, cobalt, palladium, and iron) together with photocatalysis. Emphasis is placed on methodology achievements and mechanistic insight, aiming to inspire chemists to invent more efficient radical-involved C(sp3)–N bond-forming reactions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Shibing Karst constitutes a pivotal component of the "South China Karst," and its ecosystem health integrity crucially influences the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) of the corresponding Natural World Heritage (NWH). Consequently, robust ecosystem health assessment (EHA) is imperative for the judicious conservation and management of this heritage, as well as for the sustainable progression of the region. This research assessed the health of the Shibing Karst ecosystem from 2004 to 2020 by employing changes in landscape patterns through the Vigor-Organization-Resilience-Ecosystem Services (VORS) model. Spatial autocorrelation was employed to discern the spatial coherence and evolutionary patterns of ecosystem health, whereas a geo-detector ascertained the pivotal determinants impacting regional ecosystem vitality. The findings revealed that: (1) The landscape patterns distribution in the study area exhibited considerable constancy, primarily comprising forest land, with a rising trajectory in construction land and water, juxtaposed with a recession in shrubland, grassland, paddy land, and dryland expanses. (2) From 2004 to 2020, the ecosystem of the study area maintained its health and remained stable, with mean values of 0.8303, 0.7689, 0.6976, and 0.7824, respectively, showing an evolutionary trend of an initial downtrend trend followed by an upswing, with 2016 marking a pivotal juncture. (3) Spatial clustering analysis highlighted significant clustering characteristics of ecosystem health, with a nominal decrease in the Global Moran's I index from 0.666 to 0.665, which is indicative of a subtle decrease in clustering over time. High-high clustering areas were predominantly located within the World Heritage Site (WHS), while low-low clustering areas were mainly distributed in the southeastern part of buffer zone. (4) Land use and cover change (LUCC) and Ecosystem Services (ESs) were identified as the primary indexes of EHA, with Ecosystem Resilience (ER), Ecosystem Vigor (EV), and Ecosystem Organization (EO) exerting relatively mild influences. This study provides a scientific framework for policymakers in local governance to devise strategies for ecosystem conservation and management, enhances the analytical perspective on the integrity and conservation of Karst Natural World Heritage (KNWH). For synthetic aperture microwave radiometers, the problem of Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) is becoming more and more serious, which affects both the scientific retrieval of remote sensing data and the imaging quality of brightness temperature (BT) images. In the visibility data domain, the array factor synthesis algorithm is commonly employed to mitigate RFI sources and their Gibbs trailing. In the BT image domain, the CLEAN algorithm is typical applied to mitigate RFI sources and their Gibbs trailing. However, the array factor synthesis algorithm can result in anomalous BT points near the "zero trap" region, and the CLEAN algorithm will miss some BT points below a certain threshold. In this paper, a Bi-domain combined mitigation algorithm is proposed to mitigate RFI sources and their Gibbs trailing. Following initial mitigation in the visibility data domain, dual thresholds are applied to normalize anomalous BT points near the "zero trap" region, thereby enhancing imaging quality. The effectiveness of the Bi-domain combined mitigation algorithm is verified by using both measured data from SMOS L1A and simulated data. The experimental results demonstrate that the Bi-domain combined mitigation algorithm is superior to the array factor synthesis algorithm and the CLEAN algorithm in mitigating RFI sources and their Gibbs trailing. As a new member of the high energy astronomical transient monitoring network, Gamma-ray Transient Monitor (GTM) is an all-sky monitor onboard the Distant Retrograde Orbit (DRO) mission which has been launched in March 2024. In this work, we investigate the space radiation environment of DRO, and study the in-flight background of GTM using GEANT4. The background count rate on each of the 5 GTP detectors of GTM is estimated to be about 800 ∼ 1000 counts/s in the energy range from 20 keV to 1 MeV after one-year operation on orbit. We find that there are two distinct spectral lines clearly visible in the background spectrum, i.e. the 59 keV emission line from the embedded calibration source 241 Am and the 511 keV emission line induced by space radiations, which are suitable for the in-flight energy gain calibration. These results provide important reference for the development of payload, design of observation strategies, in-flight calibration of instrument and research of scientific objectives. A novel seismic robustness computational methodology is proposed for community building portfolio (CBP) coupled with lifeline networks based on probability‐cloud model. This method consists of three interrelated submodels, respectively, the building fragility analysis model of the main subsystem CPB, the water supply network (WSN) hydraulic simulation analysis model of the secondary subsystem WSN, and the probability‐cloud model. The proposed method can be used to predict the seismic robustness of hierarchical systems. The computational methodology uses a joint probabilistic model combined with building fragility analysis and WSN hydraulic simulation analysis to evaluate the robustness of CPB coupled with WSN. Due to the uncertainty in robustness analysis, a probabilistic‐cloud model procedure considering the uncertainty in seismic robustness is proposed. The procedure enables a qualitative and quantitative integrated analysis of the robustness of CBP coupled with WSN. Finally, a community with 1406 buildings in China is simulated to illustrate the method. Serum uric acid (UA) and homocysteine (Hcy) are potential biomarkers of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). In this study, the expressions of UA and Hcy in SLE patients and the predictive value of these two parameters for lupus nephritis (LN) were studied. A total of 476 SLE patients were recruited to this case-control study, of which 176 SLE patients diagnosed with LN and 300 without LN. Serum UA and Hcy levels were analyzed. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between serum UA and Hcy and LN. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to predict the role of combination of serum UA and Hcy in LN. We found that serum UA and Hcy levels in SLE patients with LN were significantly higher than those in controls (p<0.05). Multivariate logistic regressions showed that serum UA (OR+=+1.003, 95+% CI: 1.001–1.006, p+=+0.003), apolipoprotein B (Apo B) (OR+=+21.361, 95+% CI: 2.312–195.373, p+=+0.007) and Hcy (OR+=+1.042, 95+% CI: 1.011–1.080, p+=+0.014) were independent markers of LN. Combined serum UA and Hcy revealed a better result (AUC+=+0.718, 95+% CI: 0.670–0.676, p<0.001) in prediction of LN compared to that of the serum UA (AUC+=+0.710) and Hcy (AUC+=+0.657) independently. In conclusion, serum UA and Hcy could be predictive biomarkers of LN, and joint detection of serum UA and Hcy might be useful in the clinical setting. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The 2D semiconductors are an ideal platform for exploration of bosonic fluids composed of coupled photons and collective excitations of atoms or excitons, primarily due to large excitonic binding energies and strong light‐matter interaction. Based on first‐principles calculations, it is demonstrated that the phonon polaritons formed by two infrared‐active phonon modes in monolayer MoSi2N4 and WSi2N4 possess ultra‐high confinement factors of around ≈105 and 103, surpassing those of conventional polaritonic thin‐film materials by two orders of magnitude. It is observed that the first bright exciton possesses a substantial binding energies of 750 and 740 meV in these two monolayers, with the radiative recombination lifetimes as long as 25 and 188 ns, and the Rabi splitting of the formed cavity‐exciton polaritons reaching 373 and 321 meV, respectively. The effective masses of the cavity exciton polaritons are approximately 10−5me, providing the potential for high‐temperature quantum condensation. The ultra‐confined and ultra‐low‐loss phonon polaritons, as well as strongly‐coupled cavity exciton polaritons with ultra‐small polaritonic effective masses in these two monolayers, offering the flexible control of light at the nanoscale, probably leading to practical applications in nanophotonics, meta‐optics, and quantum materials. Background: The hypoxic tumor microenvironment is a key factor that promotes metabolic reprogramming and vascular mimicry (VM) in ovarian cancer (OC) patients. ESM1, a secreted protein, plays an important role in promoting proliferation and angiogenesis in OC. However, the role of ESM1 in metabolic reprogramming and VM in the hypoxic microenvironment in OC patients has not been determined. Methods: Liquid chromatography coupled with tandem MS was used to analyze CAOV3 and OV90 cells. Interactions between ESM1, PKM2, UBA2, and SUMO1 were detected by GST pull-down, Co-IP, and molecular docking. The effects of the ESM1-PKM2 axis on cell glucose metabolism were analyzed based on an ECAR experiment. The biological effects of the signaling axis on OC cells were detected by tubule formation, transwell assay, RT‒PCR, Western blot, immunofluorescence, and in vivo xenograft tumor experiments. Results: Our findings demonstrated that hypoxia induces the upregulation of ESM1 expression through the transcription of HIF-1α. ESM1 serves as a crucial mediator of the interaction between PKM2 and UBA2, facilitating the SUMOylation of PKM2 and the subsequent formation of PKM2 dimers. This process promotes the Warburg effect and facilitates the nuclear translocation of PKM2, ultimately leading to the phosphorylation of STAT3. These molecular events contribute to the promotion of ovarian cancer glycolysis and vasculogenic mimicry. Furthermore, our study revealed that Shikonin effectively inhibits the molecular interaction between ESM1 and PKM2, consequently preventing the formation of PKM2 dimers and thereby inhibiting ovarian cancer glycolysis, fatty acid synthesis and vasculogenic mimicry. Conclusion: Our findings demonstrated that hypoxia increases ESM1 expression through the transcriptional regulation of HIF-1α to induce dimerization via PKM2 SUMOylation, which promotes the OC Warburg effect and VM. Highlights: High-quality large-area perovskite films are prepared using a solid–liquid two-step film formation method combined with CsBr modification for the buried interface and Urea additive for perovskite crystallization. The inverted perovskite solar modules' performance is enhanced to 20.56% in 61.56 cm2 with improved stability. A considerable efficiency gap exists between large-area perovskite solar modules and small-area perovskite solar cells. The control of forming uniform and large-area film and perovskite crystallization is still the main obstacle restricting the efficiency of PSMs. In this work, we adopted a solid–liquid two-step film formation technique, which involved the evaporation of a lead iodide film and blade coating of an organic ammonium halide solution to prepare perovskite films. This method possesses the advantages of integrating vapor deposition and solution methods, which could apply to substrates with different roughness and avoid using toxic solvents to achieve a more uniform, large-area perovskite film. Furthermore, modification of the NiOx/perovskite buried interface and introduction of Urea additives were utilized to reduce interface recombination and regulate perovskite crystallization. As a result, a large-area perovskite film possessing larger grains, fewer pinholes, and reduced defects could be achieved. The inverted PSM with an active area of 61.56 cm2 (10 × 10 cm2 substrate) achieved a champion power conversion efficiency of 20.56% and significantly improved stability. This study investigated the impact of erythritol (ERY) on structural and functional properties of whey protein isolate (WPI). FTIR and CD revealed that WPI underwent structural changes, including formation of β‐folds and random coils, upon interaction with 20 mg/mL ERY. SEM showed increased surface roughness of WPI, indicating enhanced protein exposure. Moreover, binding rate exceeded 85%, accompanied by increased surface hydrophobicity. Fluorescence spectroscopy indicated a red shift in fluorescence of WPI and tyrosine (Tyr) residues, altering polarity of Tyr environment due to ERY coordination. Additionally, ERY presence enhanced the functional properties of WPI, including foaming, freeze–thaw stability, rheology and antioxidant activity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Human-to-human contact plays a leading role in the transmission of infectious diseases, and the contact pattern between individuals has an important influence on the intensity and trend of disease transmission. In this paper, we define regular contacts and random contacts. Then, taking the COVID-19 outbreak in Yangzhou City, China as an example, we consider age heterogeneity, household structure and two contact patterns to establish discrete dynamic models with switching between daytime and nighttime to depict the transmission mechanism of COVID-19 in population. We studied the changes in the reproduction number with different age groups and household sizes at different stages. The effects of the proportion of two contacts patterns on reproduction number were also studied. Furthermore, taking the final size, the peak value of infected individuals in community and the peak value of quarantine infected individuals and nucleic acid test positive individuals as indicators, we evaluate the impact of the number of random contacts, the duration of the free transmission stage and summer vacation on the spread of the disease. The results show that a series of prevention and control measures taken by the Chinese government in response to the epidemic situation are reasonable and effective, and the young and middle-aged adults (aged 18-59) with household size of 6 have the strongest transmission ability. In addition, the results also indicate that increasing the proportion of random contact is beneficial to the control of the infectious disease in the phase with interventions. In this paper, based on the triggered lightning technique, the impact of impulse grounding resistance was studied for 44 return strokes, 5 initial continuous current pulses (ICCP), and 24 Mcomponents of eight triggered lightning events that occurred in the summer of 2019. The goal of the study was to explore the dynamic variation of impulse grounding resistance with lighting current injection. It was found that the impulse grounding resistances of the ICCP, M-component and return stroke were lower than that of the DC grounding resistance, while those of the ICCP and M-component superimposed on continuous current after the return stroke were slightly higher than that of the return stroke, with respective average values of 11.2 Ω and 10.8 Ω. Moreover, the average value of impulse grounding resistance in the M-component superimposed on the falling edge of the return stroke was 7.8 Ω, which was clearly a smaller return stroke, and the minimum value reached up to 2.4 Ω. The impulse grounding resistance of the ICCP and M-component decreased with the increase of lightning current, and there was no obvious correlation with the current peak of the return stroke. Finally, the impulse grounding resistance of the Mcomponent superimposed on the falling edge of the return stroke decreased exponentially with the increase of the current peak and background current value and was inversely proportional to the current peak of the return stroke. The impulse grounding resistance exhibited a dynamic change process with the injection of lightning current. After the current peak decrease of the return stroke, it increased slowly in the small current and decreased rapidly in the large current. The effects of spark and inductance differed in the varying physical processes of lightning, and both determined the ionization degree of soil, which in turn determined the magnitude and variation of the impulse grounding resistance. Purpose: Microvascular invasion (MVI) is a significant prognostic factor in combined hepatocellular cholangiocarcinoma (cHCC-CCA). However, its diagnosis relies on postoperative histopathologic analysis. This study aims to identify preoperative inflammatory biomarkers and MR-imaging features that can predict MVI in cHCC-CCA. Methods: This retrospective study enrolled 119 patients with histopathologically confirmed cHCC-CCA between January 2016 and December 2021. Two radiologists, unaware of the clinical data, independently reviewed all MR image features. Univariable and multivariable analyses were performed to determine the independent predictors for MVI among inflammatory biomarkers and MRI characteristics. The area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC) was used to evaluate the diagnostic performance. Results: Multivariable logistic regression analysis identified four variables significantly associated with MVI (p < 0.05), including two inflammatory biomarkers [albumin-to-alkaline phosphatase ratio (AAPR) and aspartate aminotransferase-to-neutrophil ratio index (ANRI)] and two MRI features (non-smooth tumor margin and arterial phase peritumoral enhancement). A combined model for predicting MVI was constructed based on these four variables, with an AUC of 0.802 (95% CI 0.719–0.870). The diagnostic efficiency of the combined model was higher than that of the imaging model. Conclusion: Inflammatory biomarkers and MRI features could be potential predictors for MVI in cHCC-CCA. Purpose: Previous studies have suggested that presbycusis (age‐related hearing loss) is accompanied with cognitive decline and dementia. However, the neural mechanism underlying the cognitive decline in presbycusis remains unclear. This study aimed to evaluate the glymphatic system function in presbycusis patients compared to healthy controls using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) with the perivascular space (DTI‐ALPS) method. Methods: DTI scans were obtained from 30 presbycusis patients with cognitive decline (PCD), 30 presbycusis patients with no cognitive decline (PNCD) and 40 age‐, gender‐, and education‐matched healthy controls (HCs). The DTI‐ALPS index was calculated for each group. We evaluated the differences in the DTI‐ALPS index among PCD, PNCD and HCs. In addition, we conducted a correlation analysis between the DTI‐ALPS index and cognitive performance. Results: There were significant differences of the DTI‐ALPS index among three groups. Post‐hoc analysis suggested that the DTI‐ALPS index in PCD was significantly lower patients in relative to PNCD and HCs (1.49147 vs. 1.57441 vs. 1.62020, p < 0.001). After correcting for age, gender, and education, the DTI‐ALPS index is positively correlated with the MoCA scores (rho = 0.426, p = 0.026). Conclusion: Presbycusis patients with cognitive impairment exhibited decreased glymphatic activity than those without cognitive impairment and HCs. The DTI‐ALPS index may provide useful disease progression or treatment biomarkers for patients with presbycusis as an indicator of modulation of glymphatic activity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Drawing on in-depth biographical interviews with foreign scholars in China (hereafter ‘FSC’), this paper examines the impact of various infrastructural interruptions on the transnational lives of mobile individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic. It explores how the labour of maintenance and resourceful quick-fixes employed by FSC constitute infrastructuring strategies in times of isolation and uncertainty. Specifically, the paper first asks how specific COVID-19-induced infrastructural barriers, such as tightened visa policies, mandatory PCR testing for border crossing, and suspended flights, intersect with the (im)mobility experiences and trajectories of FSC. Second, the paper investigates how these individuals navigate and cope with infrastructural glitches by fashioning a set of infrastructuring strategies to maintain transnational lives within the pandemic context. In doing so, this paper develops a deeper understanding of not only the generative but also destructive capacities of infrastructural processes in terms of their transformative effects on migrant identities, aspirations and lived experiences, further revealing the fragility, incompleteness and situationality embedded in migration infrastructures. More critically, this paper theorises how infrastructural interruptions constitute the necessary social-temporal conditions in which individuals’ infrastructuring strategies emerge through acts of waiting, adaptation and maintenance. SUMMARY: Nitrogen (N) is an essential factor for limiting crop yields, and cultivation of crops with low nitrogen‐use efficiency (NUE) exhibits increasing environmental and ecological risks. Hence, it is crucial to mine valuable NUE improvement genes, which is very important to develop and breed new crop varieties with high NUE in sustainable agriculture system. Quantitative trait locus (QTL) and genome‐wide association study (GWAS) analysis are the most common methods for dissecting genetic variations underlying complex traits. In addition, with the advancement of biotechnology, multi‐omics technologies can be used to accelerate the process of exploring genetic variations. In this study, we integrate the substantial data of QTLs, quantitative trait nucleotides (QTNs) from GWAS, and multi‐omics data including transcriptome, proteome, and metabolome and further analyze their interactions to predict some NUE‐related candidate genes. We also provide the genic resources for NUE improvement among maize, rice, wheat, and sorghum by homologous alignment and collinearity analysis. Furthermore, we propose to utilize the knowledge gained from classical cases to provide the frameworks for improving NUE and breeding N‐efficient varieties through integrated genomics, systems biology, and modern breeding technologies. Significance Statement: Genic resources regulating NUE were identified through the integration data on QTL/QTN hotspots, multi‐omics (transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics), and multi‐collinearity, which provides a solid foundation for the innovation of breeding high NUE crops. The Chasing All Transients Constellation Hunters (CATCH) space mission is an intelligent constellation consisting of 126 micro-satellites in three types (A, B, and C), designed for X-ray observation with the objective of studying the dynamic universe. Currently, we are actively developing the first Pathfinder (CATCH-1) for the CATCH mission, specifically for type-A satellites. CATCH-1 is equipped with Micro Pore Optics (MPO) and a 4-pixel Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) array. To assess its scientific performance, including the effective area of the optical system, on-orbit background, and telescope sensitivity, we employ the Monte Carlo software Geant4 for simulation in this study. The MPO optics exhibit an effective area of 41 cm 2 at the focal spot for 1 keV X-rays, while the entire telescope system achieves an effective area of 29 cm 2 at 1 keV when taking into account the SDD detector’s detection efficiency. The primary contribution to the background is found to be from the Cosmic X-ray Background. Assuming a 625 km orbit with an inclination of 29 ∘ , the total background for CATCH-1 is estimated to be 8.13 × 10 - 2 counts s - 1 in the energy range of 0.5–4 keV. Based on the background within the central detector and assuming a Crab-like source spectrum, the estimated ideal sensitivity could achieve 1.9 × 10 - 12 erg cm - 2 s - 1 for an exposure of 10 4 s in the energy band of 0.5–4 keV. Furthermore, after simulating the background caused by low-energy charged particles near the geomagnetic equator, we have determined that there is no need to install a magnetic deflector. Solid‐state lithium‐sulfur batteries have shown prospects as safe, high‐energy electrochemical storage technology for powering regional electrified transportation. Owing to limited ion mobility in crystalline polymer electrolytes, the battery is incapable of operating at subzero temperature. Addition of liquid plasticizer into the polymer electrolyte improves the Li‐ion conductivity yet sacrifices the mechanical strength and interfacial stability with both electrodes. In this work, we showed that by introducing a spherical hyperbranched solid polymer plasticizer into a Li+‐conductive linear polymer matrix, an integrated dynamic cross‐linked polymer network was built to maintain fully amorphous in a wide temperature range down to subzero. A quasi‐solid polymer electrolyte with a solid mass content >90 % was prepared from the cross‐linked polymer network, and demonstrated fast Li+ conduction at a low temperature, high mechanical strength, and stable interfacial chemistry. As a result, solid‐state lithium‐sulfur batteries employing the new electrolyte delivered high reversible capacity and long cycle life at 25 °C, 0 °C and −10 °C to serve energy storage at complex environmental conditions. [Display omitted] Self-healing hydrogels have promising applications in sensors and wearable devices. However, self-healing hydrogels prepared with water as the dispersion medium inevitably freeze at sub-zero temperature, resulting in a loss of the self-healing and sensing ability. The black phosphorene / ethylene glycol / polyvinyl alcohol / sodium tetraborate / sodium alginate (BP/EG-SPB) organogels were prepared by 3D printing technology and solvent displacement method. The organogel exhibits high stretchability (1900 % strain), excellent self-healing property (25 s) and outstanding anti-freezing property (lower than −120 °C freezing point). Background: Atherosclerosis, characterized by abnormal arterial lipid deposition, is an age-dependent inflammatory disease and contributes to elevated morbidity and mortality. Senescent foamy macrophages are considered to be deleterious at all stages of atherosclerosis, while the underlying mechanisms remain largely unknown. In this study, we aimed to explore the senescence-related genes in macrophages diagnosis for atherosclerotic plaque progression. Methods: The atherosclerosis-related datasets were retrieved from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database, and cellular senescence-associated genes were acquired from the CellAge database. R package Limma was used to screen out the differentially expressed senescence-related genes (DE-SRGs), and then three machine learning algorithms were applied to determine the hub DE-SRGs. Next, we established a nomogram model to further confirm the clinical significance of hub DE-SRGs. Finally, we validated the expression of hub SRG ABI3 by Sc-RNA seq analysis and explored the underlying mechanism of ABI3 in THP-1-derived macrophages and mouse atherosclerotic lesions. Results: A total of 15 DE-SRGs were identified in macrophage-rich plaques, with five hub DE-SRGs (ABI3, CAV1, NINJ1, Nox4 and YAP1) were further screened using three machine learning algorithms. Subsequently, a nomogram predictive model confirmed the high validity of the five hub DE-SRGs for evaluating atherosclerotic plaque progression. Further, the ABI3 expression was upregulated in macrophages of advanced plaques and senescent THP-1-derived macrophages, which was consistent with the bioinformatics analysis. ABI3 knockdown abolished macrophage senescence, and the NF-κB signaling pathway contributed to ABI3-mediated macrophage senescence. Conclusion: We identified five cellular senescence-associated genes for atherogenesis progression and unveiled that ABI3 might promote macrophage senescence via activation of the NF-κB pathway in atherogenesis progression, which proposes new preventive and therapeutic strategies of senolytic agents for atherosclerosis. Schiff base (EDBSAD) was prepared by the hydrothermal method to be as adsorbent materials. The obtained EDBSAD can be characterised by FT-IR, UV-vis, XRD, and SEM. The adsorption desulphurisation performance of the adsorbent for dibenzothiophene in model oil was investigated. The results showed that the EDBSAD had a specific adsorption desulphurisation effect. The optimal adsorptive condition was as follows: adsorbent amount 0.5 g and adsorption time 8 min. Under the optimal situation, the maximal adsorption capacity of this adsorbent for DBT was 25.45 mg/g. In addition, the adsorption isotherms and kinetics were studied, and the associated parameters were derived. We identify sufficient conditions to resolve the identification problem under nonignorable missingness, especially the identifiability of the observed likelihood when some of the covariate values are missing not at random, or, simultaneously, the response is also missing not at random. It is more difficult to tackle these cases than the nonignorable nonresponse case, and, to the best of our knowledge, the simultaneously missing case has never been discussed before. Under these conditions, we propose some parameter estimation methods. As an illustration, when some of the covariate values are missing not at random, we adopt a semiparametric logistic model with a tilting parameter to model the missingness mechanism and use an imputed estimating equation based on the generalized method of moments to estimate the parameters of interest and the tilting parameter simultaneously. This approach avoids the requirement for other independent surveys or a validation sample to estimate the unknown tilting parameter. The asymptotic properties of our proposed estimators are derived, and the proofs can be modified to show that our methods of estimation, which are based on inverse probability weighting, augmented inverse probability weighting, and estimating equation projection, have the same asymptotic efficiency when the tilting parameter is either known or unknown but estimated by some other method. In this paper, we propose and analyze a second‐order accurate (in time) numerical scheme for the droplet liquid film coarsening model by using the scalar auxiliary variable (SAV) method, and the Fourier‐spectral method is used in space. The scheme is linear; thus, it could be solved very efficiently. Meanwhile, due to the application of SAV approach, the unconditional energy stability of the numerical scheme is also derived, without any restriction on the time step size. In addition, we also provide a rigorous error estimate that shows that our second‐order numerical scheme with Fourier‐spectral method in space converges with order OΔt2+hm$$ O\left(\Delta {t}^2+{h}^m\right) $$, where Δt$$ \Delta t $$ and h$$ h $$ are time and space step sizes, respectively. The consensus problem of linear multiagent systems (MASs) with a leader of bounded input under directed graphs is an important research topic. However, for the directed graphs, the existing methods dealing with consensus problem rely on the global information or continuous communication among neighbors. This paper focuses on the consensus problem of linear MASs with a leader of bounded input by adaptive event‐triggered output feedback control, where the digraph contains a spanning tree with the leader as the root. A fully distributed event‐triggered consensus protocol is presented by several observers, which are used to estimate the upper bound of the leader's input and the state of each agent, respectively. Compared with the existing results on the consensus control of MASs under directed graphs, the proposed method is independent of any global information, and is suitable for situations where the states of all agents is unavailable and only a part of followers know the upper bound of the leader's input. Aims: Myocardial injury after noncardiac surgery (MINS) is common in elderly patients and considered as an independent predictor of 30-day mortality after noncardiac surgery. Dexmedetomidine possesses cardiac-protective profile. Previous clinical studies have found that perioperative application of dexmedetomidine is associated with decreased 1-year mortality in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. The current study protocol aims to investigate the effects of dexmedetomidine on the incidence of MINS, complications, and 30-day mortality in elderly patients subjected to noncardiac surgery. Methods: A multicenter, randomized, controlled, double-blind, prospective trial is designed to explore cardiac protection of dexmedetomidine in the elderly patients undergoing noncardiac surgery. A total of 960 patients aged over 65 years will be recruited and randomly assigned to dexmedetomidine group (group Dex) and normal saline placebo group (group NS) in a ratio of 1:1. Patients in group Dex will receive a bolus dose of 0.5 μg/kg dexmedetomidine within 10 min before surgical incision, followed by a consistent infusion at the rate of 0.3–0.5 μg/kg/h throughout the operation. Group NS patients will receive the same volume of normal saline. The primary outcome is the incidence of MINS via detecting the hs-TnT level within 3 days after the operation. The secondary outcome includes myocardial ischemic symptoms, the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in hospital, length of ICU and postoperative hospital stay, the incidence of inhospital complications, and 30-day all-cause mortality. Understanding the most effective host switch patterns in parasitic wasps, specifically Aenasius bambawalei (AB), is crucial for effectively controlling pests like Penacoccus solenopsis (PSS). This study aims to elucidate AB's ideal host switch pattern and assess its utility in maintaining synchronization between AB and PSS, thereby aiding in PSS control. We examined various host switch patterns and cycles to evaluate their impact on AB's offspring's parasitism rates and fitness in laboratory conditions. Concurrently, we assessed the fitness of both PSS and AB on tomato plants using different banker plant systems to maintain field synchronization. Results indicate that the three-repeat T1 host switch pattern of PSS-Penacoccus solani (PSI)-PSS was the most effective. Additionally, a specific banker plant system, "System B", which provided succulent plants hosting PSI, was optimal for synchronizing AB and PSS in a summer greenhouse setting. Our findings underscore the importance of employing specific host switch patterns and banker plant systems to effectively control PSS in the field. Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is the most aggressive and malignant subtype in breast cancer. Immunotherapy is a currently promising and effective treatment for TNBC, while not all patients are responsive. Therefore, it is necessary to explore novel biomarkers to screen sensitive populations for immunotherapy. All mRNA expression profiles of TNBC from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database were clustered into two subgroups by analyzing tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) with single sample gene set enrichment analysis (ssGSEA). A risk score model was constructed based on differently expressed genes (DEGs) identified from two subgroups using Cox and Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selector Operation (LASSO) regression model. And it was validated by Kaplan–Meier analysis and Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) analysis in Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) and the Molecular Taxonomy of Breast Cancer International Consortium (METABRIC) databases. Multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF) and Immunohistochemical (IHC) staining were performed on clinical TNBC tissue samples. The relationship between risk score and immune checkpoint blockades (ICB) related signatures was further investigated, as well as the biological processes were performed by gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA). We obtained three DEGs positively related to prognosis and infiltrating immune cells in TNBC. Our risk score model could be an independent prognostic factor and the low risk group exhibited a prolonged overall survival (OS). Patients in low risk group were more likely to present a higher immune infiltration and stronger response to immunotherapy. GSEA revealed the model was associated with immune-related pathways. We constructed and validated a novel model based on three prognostic genes related to TIME in TNBC. For the dual peg-in-hole compliance assembly task of upper and lower double-hole structural micro-devices, a skill-learning method is proposed. This method combines offline training in a simulation space and online training in a realistic space. In this paper, a dual peg-in-hole model is built according to the results of a force analysis, and contact-point searching methods are provided for calculating the contact force. Then, a skill-learning framework is built based on deep reinforcement learning. Both expert action and incremental action are used in training, and a reward system considers both efficiency and safety; additionally, a dynamic exploration method is provided to improve the training efficiency. In addition, based on experimental data, an online training method is used to optimize the skill-learning model continuously so that the error caused by the deviation in the offline training data from reality can be reduced. The final experiments demonstrate that the method can effectively reduce the contact force while assembling, improve the efficiency and reduce the impact of the change in position and orientation. Objective • To screen the mutations of NEUROD1 gene in families of maturity-onset diabetes of the young (MODY), and investigate the correlation between the mutation and MODY6 and its potential pathogenesis in Chinese. Methods • PCR-direct sequencing was used for screening NEUROD1 mutations from 96 MODY probands who were negative for mutations in the GCK/ MODY2, HNF1A/MODY3 and HNF1B/MODY5 genes, and the genotypic frequency of NEUROD1 variations were compared between the 96 MODY probands and 100 non-diabetic control subjects. A de novo modeling method was used to predict the three-dimensional (3D) structures of wild type (WT) and mutated NEUROD1 proteins. Transcriptional activities of both WT and mutant of NEUROD1 on insulin gene were detected by using dual luciferase reporter gene system. Results • Glu59Gln (NM&lowbar;002500.5, c. 175G>C), a heterozygous missense mutation in the NEUROD1 gene, was identified in a MODY pedigree. 3D structural analysis showed that the mutation transformed the negatively charged Glu59 of WT into uncharged mutation Gln59, leading to the loss of Glu59-Arg54 and Glu59-Lys88, two salt bridge bonds, and the formation of Gln59-Arg54, one new hydrogen bond. Transcriptional activity of Glu59Gln mutant for insulin gene was reduced by 36.3% when compared with that of WT (P<0.05). A common variation Ala45Thr (G-A) was identified, and AA+GA genotypic frequency of the variation was significantly elevated in the 96 MODY probands in comparison to non-diabetic control subjects (P=0.002). Conclusion-Glu59Gln mutation alters the N-terminal molecular conformation of NEUROD1 protein, resulting in decreased transcriptional activity of insulin gene, which is the cause of the defective insulin secretion in mutation carriers of the MODY6 pedigree. Background: Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is the driver gene with the highest frequency of mutations in lung adenocarcinoma and can guide the development of targeted therapies. The detection of routine gene mutations must be performed after the preparation of paraffin samples in a standard polymerase chain reaction (PCR) laboratory, which is time-consuming. The Idylla™ EGFR fully automatic PCR system for rapid detection requires no special detection environment and completes the process in only 2.5 h. It has been applied to tissues embedded in paraffin. Methods: The Idylla™ EGFR automated PCR system was used to detect EGFR gene mutations in intraoperative frozen fresh tissues and paraffin-embedded tissues from 47 enrolled patients with lung adenocarcinoma. The gold standard amplification refractory mutation system (ARMS) method for gene mutation detection was used for verification, and the concordance between the three detection results was compared, to investigate the feasibility of detecting rapid gene mutations in intraoperative frozen samples. Results: The EGFR mutation rate in 47 fresh samples of lung adenocarcinoma was 61.7% (29/47), which is consistent with the mutation level of lung adenocarcinoma in the Asian population (38.8–64.0%). The concordance rate between the Idylla™ frozen tissues and paraffin-embedded tissues was 91.4% (43/47) when compared to the ARMS method, while the coincidence rate between the two methods was 93.6% (44/47). The three methods had a total consistency rate of 89.4% (42/47). Conclusions: The Idylla™ EGFR fully automatic PCR system directly detects EGFR mutations in fresh tissues. The operation is simple, the detection time is short, and the accuracy is high. The detection time is reduced to 1/4–1/3 of the original time while meeting clinical standards for detecting the gene status of patients, thus saving crucial time for individualized and accurate treatment of patients. This retrospective study aimed to evaluate the consistency of transrectal contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (TR-CEUS) with post-operative pathology and the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) in staging surgically treated cervical cancer when combined with conventional ultrasonography (US). From October 2020 to March 2023, hospitalized patients with stage IB and II cervical cancer confirmed by total hysterectomy were consecutively enrolled. The standard images of US and CEUS by transabdominal (TA-US/CEUS) and transrectal (TR-US/CEUS) approaches and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were acquired, on which the size and stage of the tumors were evaluated, and the consistency of results with the pathological specimen was analyzed. Thirty-nine patients with cervical cancer were finally enrolled in this study. The results showed that CEUS significantly improved the reliability of TA-US in evaluating tumor diameter; the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) was from 0.672 to 0.735. TR-US indicated good reliability with or without the addition of CEUS (ICC = 0.796 and 0.780). In terms of tumor staging, CEUS improved the consistency of transabdominal (weighted κ values from 0.689 to 0.731) and transrectal staging of tumors (κ from 0.758 to 0.785), and the staging of TR-US combined with TR-CEUS had the highest consistency with post-operative results, similar to MRI (κ , respectively 0.785 and 0.789). CEUS can reflect the heterogeneity of the tumor. Heterogeneous enhancement and perfusion defects were more common in >2 cm cervical cancer (50%, 20/40 and 52.5%, 21/40), respectively, and perfusion defects were more common in moderately to poorly differentiated tumors (66.67%, 20/30). For stage IB and IIA cervical cancer, CEUS can aid in assessing the International Federation for Gynecology and Obstetrics staging of tumors alongside TA-US and TR-US. Karst World Heritage Site (KWHS) combines high-grade landscape resources and a fragile ecological environment. As an essential tool for heritage conservation and maintaining local interests, its buffer zone is primarily located in remote villages, a crucial and challenging area for rural revitalization. The conflict between heritage conservation and development is particularly acute at the site. How to deal with the relationship between the heritage site's OUV conservation and the buffer zone's tourism industry development and realize the synergy between the two subsystems? Few studies have focused on it. There is an urgent need to explore the synergistic mechanism of the KWHS's OUV conservation and the buffer zone's tourism industry development. Accordingly, this study takes the Libo-Huanjiang KWHS, one of the 'South China Karst' series of heritage sites, as a case study. The coupling coordination degree model, gray correlation analysis (GCA), and Geographic Information System (GIS) spatial analysis are used. The results show that: (1) There is a synergistic effect between the Libo-Huanjiang KWHS's OUV conservation and its buffer zone's tourism industry development, showing a favorable trend. The mean value of the coupling coordination degree increased from 0.57 in 2015 to 0.63 in 2020, and the overall situation improved from barely coupling coordination state to primary coupling coordination. (2) Influenced by the main driving factors, such as NDVI, landscape dominance, government support for tourism development, tourists' satisfaction, and residents' support, the coupling coordination of the four tourist scenic areas in the study area differed slightly in 2015 and 2020. Yaoshan Ancient Village Scenic Area is the highest in both years, increasing from 0.69 to 0.81, followed by the Mengliu Buyi Scenic Area (0.59), Wanmu Meiyuan Scenic Area is relatively stable with a slight increase, and Lianshanwan Scenic Area (0.45) is the lowest. (3) The four dimensions of ecological resources, policy drivers, economy drivers, and social facilitators work together to create a synergistic mechanism between the KWHS's OUV conservation and the buffer zone's tourism industry development. Future research can promote synergy between the two by formulating a comprehensive plan, encouraging sustainable tourism, establishing a diversified tourism industry, strengthening heritage education and training, enhancing community participation, and reinforcing stakeholder cooperation. Microcrystalline graphite is a valuable non-metallic mineral that can be separated by flotation, a physico-chemical processing method that uses air bubbles to capture mineral particles. The size and stability of the bubbles, which depend on the type and amount of frother added, affect the flotation performance and the recovery of water from the froth layer. However, the effects of different types of frother on the froth properties and water recovery of microcrystalline graphite flotation are not well understood. In this study, two common frothers, sec-octanol and terpineol, were compared in terms of their effects on the bubble size, froth layer height, water recovery, and flotation selectivity index (SI) of microcrystalline graphite flotation. It was found that sec-octanol produced smaller bubbles than terpineol, but also a slightly lower froth layer height. The water recovery was higher with sec-octanol than with terpineol. The SI values were similar for both frothers, indicating comparable flotation performance. This study revealed the differences between sec-octanol and terpineol in terms of their effects on the froth properties and water recovery of microcrystalline graphite flotation. Burn survivors often have severe scarring and distorted body image, and they are commonly given new perceptions and even receive a variety of negative labels from individuals, families and society. This study aimed to explore the association between stigma, resourcefulness and alexithymia, and identifies whether resourcefulness in burn survivors is mediating the relationship between resourcefulness and alexithymia. This correlational study was conducted from December 2021 to July 2022 in a comprehensive tertiary Grade A hospital in Ningxia, China. A convenience sample of 159 burn survivors was recruited. Data were collected using demographics, Social Impact Scale(SIC),Toronto Alexithymia Scale, and Resourcefulness Scale (RS). Descriptive analysis, Hierarchical Regression analysis, Pearson Correlation analysis, and Mediation analysis were used for data analysis. Finally, a data set of 148 responses was determined for analysis. The effective rate was 95.9%. We found significant correlation between stigma, resourcefulness and alexithymia. Sociodemographic characteristics (gender, spouse states), clinical characteristics (body surface burned area, scar areas), resourcefulness and alexithymia of burn survivors were significant predictors of stigma among burn survivors. The mediating effect of resourcefulness between stigma and alexithymia in burns survivors accounted for 36.03% of the total effect. Resourcefulness partially mediates the relationship between stigma and alexithymia. These findings suggest medical staff should strengthen the management of the mental health of burn survivors and eliminate the negative cognition and tendency of burn survivors by regularly promoting stigma counseling measures based on cognitive behavioral therapy. Based on the resourcefulness theory, psychological counseling and intervention are carried out in various ways to fully mobilize their internal factors for positive emotional regulation and enhance the ability of individuals to cope with adversity. The building group is the basis for the maintenance and operation of the city. The rapid recovery of community building group (CBG) can effectively reduce economic losses caused by earthquakes. There is service function interdependence among the buildings, and the impact of this interdependence on the postdisaster recovery of CBG is not clear. In order to improve the postdisaster recovery efficiency of CBG and explore the impact of service function dependence among buildings on postdisaster recovery, this paper integrates the recovery time (RT) and functionality loss (FL) of individual buildings and proposes two multi‐objective optimization recovery models suitable for CBG: the postearthquake recovery optimization model of CBG and the postearthquake recovery optimization model of CBG considering the service function interdependence among buildings. In these models, building RT, building FL, CBG resilience, and building recovery resources are considered, and the nondominated sorting genetic algorithm‐Ⅱ is used to solve the models to obtain the optimal restoration scheduling of CBG. At the same time, through a case, this paper analyzes the impact of the interdependence of service function among buildings and recovery resources on the recovery scheduling and resilience of CBG. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) and hypertension, and the association between NIHL and hypertension using occupational physical examination data of 42,588 noise-exposed workers from local enterprises in Yangzhou between 2015 and 2017. The average binaural high-frequency threshold on average (BHFTA), systolic blood pressure (SBP), and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) were 23.09 ± 11.32 dB, 126.85 ± 15.94 mm Hg and 79.94 ± 11.61 mm Hg. The prevalence of NIHL and hypertension were 24.38% and 25.40%. An increased risk of NIHL and hypertension was observed in the groups of males, aged >35 years, noise exposure time >5 years, noise exposure level >85 dB(A) and smoking. 32.25% NIHL workers had hypertension. NIHL workers were at higher risk of hypertension (adjusted OR = 1.07, 95%CI = 1.02–1.13). This study shows that the noise-exposed workers have high risk of developing NIHL and hypertension. The differential treatment effect of pulmonary artery denervation (PADN) in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) patients with different risk burdens remains unclear. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of PADN in low vs intermediate-high-risk PAH patients. In total, 128 patients with treatment naive PAH included in the PADN-CFDA trial were categorized into low-risk and intermediate-high-risk patients. The primary endpoint was the between-group difference in the change in 6-min walk distance (6 MWD) from baseline to 6 months. In the intermediate-high-risk group, those treated with PADN and PDE-5i had a greater improvement in 6 MWD from baseline to 6 months as compared to those treated with sham plus PDE-5i. From baseline to 6 months, pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) was reduced by –6.1 ± 0.6 and –2.0 ± 0.7 Wood units following PADN plus PDE-5i and sham plus PDE-5i, respectively, along with the significant reduction of NT-proBNP in the intermediate-high-risk group. However, there were no significant differences in 6 MWD, PVR, and NT-proBNP between the PADN plus PDE-5i and sham plus PDE-5i groups among low-risk patients. Moreover, the right ventricular function was equally improved by PADN treatment across the low-, intermediate-, and high-risk groups. Clinical worsening was less with PADN plus PDE-5i treatment during the 6-month follow-up. In patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension, pulmonary artery denervation plus PDE-5i improved exercise capacity, NT-proBNP, hemodynamic, and clinical outcomes during the 6-month follow-up among intermediate-high risk patients. Background: The best choice between first‐line aspiration and stent retriever for acute basilar artery occlusion remains controversial. This study aims to perform a systematic review and meta‐analysis comparing the stent retriever and direct aspiration about reported recanalization rates and periprocedural complications. Method: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane, and Clinical Trials were searched for the studies evaluating the efficacy and safety of first‐line aspiration versus stent retriever for acute basilar artery occlusion. A standard software program (Stata Corporation) was used for end‐point analyses. Statistical significance was defined as a p‐value less than.05. Results: A total of 11 studies were involved in the current study, including 1014 patients. Regarding postoperative recanalization, the pooled analysis identified a significant difference in successful recanalization (odds ratio [OR] = 1.642; 95% confidence interval (95% CI): 1.099–2.453; p =.015) and complete recanalization (OR = 3.525; 95% CI: 1.306–2.872; p =.001) between the two groups in favor of the first‐line aspiration. Concerning the complications, the first‐line aspiration could achieve a lower rate of total complication (OR =.359; 95% CI:.229–.563; p <.001) and hemorrhagic complication (OR =.446, 95% CI:.259–.769; p =.004) than stent retriever. No significant difference was observed in postoperative mortality (OR =.966; p =.880), subarachnoid hematoma (OR =.171; p =.094), and parenchymal hematoma (OR =.799; p =.720). In addition, the pooled results revealed a significant difference in procedure duration between the two groups in favor of aspiration (WMD = −27.630, 95% CI: −50.958 to −4.302; p =.020). However, there was no significant difference in favorable outcome (OR = 1.149; p =.352) and rescue therapy (OR = 1.440; p =.409) between the two groups. Conclusion: Given that the first‐line aspiration was associated with a higher rate of postoperative recanalization, a lower risk of postoperative complication, and a faster duration of the procedure, these findings support the aspiration may be more secure than a stent retriever. In this paper, we propose two Z-eigenvalue inclusive sets of tensors, and prove that our new inclusion sets are more precise than some existing results. Using the derived inclusion sets, we present new upper and lower bounds of the spectral radius of nonnegative weakly symmetric tensors. Further, we offer two applications of the obtained upper and lower bounds. One application is the best rank-one approximation rate. The other application is the geometric measure of quantum pure state entanglement with nonnegative amplitudes. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the validity of the derived results. Autophagy plays a complex impact role in tumor initiation and development. It serves as a double-edged sword by supporting cell survival in certain situations while also triggering autophagic cell death in specific cellular contexts. Understanding the intricate functions and mechanisms of autophagy in tumors is crucial for guiding clinical approaches to cancer treatment. Recent studies highlight its significance in various aspects of cancer biology. Autophagy enables cancer cells to adapt to and survive unfavorable conditions by recycling cellular components. However, excessive or prolonged autophagy can lead to the self-destruction of cancer cells via a process known as autophagic cell death. Unraveling the molecular mechanisms underlying autophagy regulation in cancer is crucial for the development of targeted therapeutic interventions. In this review, we seek to present a comprehensive summary of current knowledge regarding autophagy, its impact on cancer cell survival and death, and the molecular mechanisms involved in the modulation of autophagy for cancer therapy. This study explored whether executive functioning skills and maths test anxiety were associated with children's untimed and timed algorithmic computational performance and their discrepancy. It also investigated whether such relations were moderated by children's basic maths fact fluency. One hundred and thirty third-graders were rated by teachers regarding their executive functioning skills. Moreover, they self-reported their maths test anxiety level and were tested on various maths skills. Results showed that for untimed computational performance, working memory was a correlate among children low in basic maths fact fluency, whereas maths test anxiety was a correlate among all children. Planning/organization and maths test anxiety were correlates of timed computational performance, regardless of the basic maths fact fluency level. As for discrepancy in computational performance across the two conditions, maths test anxiety was a correlate among children low in basic maths fact fluency.
