This article examines the stand-up comedy albums of comedian and blues singer Hattie Noel released in the 1960s. Her career reveals previously unrecognized connections between the classic blues of the 1920s–1930s and the stand-up comedy albums of the 1960s and presents a Black feminist perspective on sexuality and the politics of the civil rights era. Noel's comedy transcends the stereotypes she played in Hollywood films and the dehumanization she faced in her work with Disney. Using the sonic archive of her LPs to understand the history of stand-up comedy offers an alternate narrative about her career. In Hollywood, her legacy was as a "hippo in a tutu," but on stage and on vinyl, she negotiated a space for her voice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Problematiza-se algumas vivências e experiências com as artes em uma turma de Educação Infantil (crianças de 5 e 6 anos), a partir das provocações docentes. Descreve-se as ações e provocações docentes, produzidas em uma vivência, envolvendo as experiências estéticas, com algumas aproximações da abordagem triangular: a) contextualização e leitura crítica: conversa e escuta dos interesses das crianças; Leitura da obra: vídeo: “O Lago dos Cisnes”; imagens de bailarinas; c) Fazer artístico: rodas de conversa; organização da coreografia; vídeos de passos de dança; apresentação da dança. Conclui-se que as vivências e as experiências envolvendo as artes, mediante as provocações docentes, produziram momentos significativos para as crianças, possibilitando a imaginação, a apreciação, o diálogo, a fantasia e a exploração de sentimentos e emoções.

Este artigo investiga diferenças entre a fantasia, como abordada por Freud, e o matema do fantasma, concebido por Lacan. Para tanto, apoiamo-nos, principalmente, nos textos “Bate-se numa criança”, de Freud, no Seminário Livro 14 e nos Escritos, de Lacan, assim como em uma leitura psicanalítica da novela O Jovem Törless, de Robert Musil. Conclui-se apontando para uma diferença fundamental: enquanto Freud pensa a fantasia como construção e transformação gramatical das posições de um alterego do observador posicionado fora da cena, Lacan nomeia de fantasma um enquadre lógico e uma estrutura com as suas próprias leis internas de transformação.

En el ámbito de la literatura juvenil, ha habido un auge en torno a narrativa relacionada con lo insólito, principalmente en forma de largas novelas y sagas. Este artículo analiza el impacto de este fenómeno en el reducido mercado español de los libros de cuentos, escritos en castellano o traducidos, dirigidos a los lectores mayores de doce años. Para ello, se han revisado los volúmenes incluidos en los catálogos vigentes durante el 2023 de las editoriales con colecciones para este grupo demográfico. Tras la descripción de su contenido, se ha comprobado que las abundantes antologías de orientación escolar otorgan un lugar privilegiado a los relatos con elementos sobrenaturales y maravillosos. Los volúmenes que abordan lo fantástico en sentido estricto incluyen principalmente ejemplos de autores anglosajones del siglo XIX. Se ha constatado la escasez de aportaciones a la fantasía contemporánea, con algunas excepciones en el ámbito de lo maravilloso o en proyectos colectivos originales. En resumen, estas páginas proporcionan información actualizada sobre este repertorio, útil tanto para investigadores como para mediadores.

Este artículo toma como caso de estudio al escritor cubano José Lezama Lima quien, en su intención de forjar un sistema poético del mundo, enunció conceptos que el discurso científico sólo alcanzaría a desarrollar décadas más tarde a través de las Ciencias de la Complejidad, la Teoría General de Sistemas y la hermenéutica de Paul Ricoeur. La búsqueda bibliográfica y la comparación con teorías científicas correspondientes a la época en que Lezama vivió (o un poco posterior) revelan en el escritor cubano una comprensión de la realidad en muchos casos visionaria con respecto a la ciencia de su tiempo.

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a senciência no âmbito da zooliteratura a partir do universo literário d’O Senhor dos Anéis de John Ronald Reuel Tolkien (1892-1973). A pesquisa, encontra-se dividida em três seções principais, a primeira trata da evolução da relação entre literatura e animalidade ao longo dos séculos, enquanto a segunda contextualiza o autor em relação a sua época e o pensamento dominante daquele contexto histórico, por fim, a terceira seção trata do reflexo da zooliteratura nos entremeios da senciência através do universo literário de Tolkien. A pesquisa conta com o aporte teórico de Singer (2010), Maciel (2016), Attebery (2014), entre outros. A investigação mostra que Tolkien emerge em um período de revolução do pensamento humano em diversos campos, dentre os quais, discussões a respeito da animalidade também ganham espaço, se utilizando da literatura fantástica, que é possível conceber como zooliteratura. Assim, tornar-se-á possível pensar a senciência, dentro da obra do autor, como resultado de um choque de milênios de certeza de uma posição antropocêntrica do animal humano em relação aos demais animais não humanos.

O artigo analisa a função crítica da fantasia no projeto do Instituto de Pesquisas Sociais a partir do debate presente nas publicações de Horkheimer e Marcuse no ano de 1937. Em “Teoria tradicional e teoria crítica”, Horkheimer lança as bases do debate compreendendo a fantasia como recurso necessário para operar uma imagem do futuro, surgida da compreensão profunda do presente. Em “Filosofia e teoria crítica”, por sua vez, Marcuse aproxima-se da premissa horkheimeana quando afirma que a fantasia preserva no presente o que ainda não está presente como meta. Portanto, a fantasia enquanto operadora crítica associa o presente ao futuro. Investigaremos aqui o sentido aberto desse futuro para cada um desses autores a fim de demonstrar que as diferenças entre os autores sobre a fantasia não são de fundamento, mas de ênfase teórica nas estratégias de suas críticas à ideologia. São perspectivas diferentes, mas complementares. Eis o que o artigo procura compreender.

Pretende-se, neste artigo, levantar algumas considerações acerca do conceito de fantasia, elaborado por Melanie Klein e expandido por Donald Winnicott, na tentativa de propor uma possível comparação teórica entre essas duas linhagens da psicanálise. Para tanto, apresentamos, ainda que de maneira breve, a concepção de desenvolvimento psíquico para esses dois autores, enumerando algumas aproximações e afastamentos. Por fim, apontamos as vantagens desse tipo de pesquisa comparativa e as suas respectivas dificuldades, destacando os aspectos que assinalam a singularidade da noção de fantasia no pensamento kleiniano e winnicottiano, assim como sua utilidade na narração de exemplos clínicos.

Este trabajo de corte ensayístico parte de la premisa de la autotelia como característica primigenia del juego, y, en tal sentido, tiene como propósito analizar la noción del círculo mágico propuesto por Johan Huizinga en el contexto de su estudio sobre la fenomenología del juego en el Homo Ludens. Este análisis ha de considerarse, además, bajo el concepto de la autotelia en contraposición a la noción de productividad, y se une a la concepción de James Carse de los juegos finitos y los juegos infinitos, a propósito de la utilización del juego como estrategia didáctica y como herramienta pedagógica en el ámbito escolar, en procesos de intervención educativa y en el espectro de la literatura científica proveniente de investigación. Se concluye afirmando que existe una incongruencia epistémica en relación con la noción de juego en el ámbito escolar, adocenado por una ruptura del círculo mágico que propone Johan Huizinga, lo que, de inicio, confirma que la escuela ha colonizado el juego. This essay is based on the premise of autotelia as a primordial characteristic of play, and, in this sense, its purpose is to analyse the notion of the magic circle proposed by Johan Huizinga in the context of his study on the phenomenology of play in Homo Ludens. This analysis is also to be considered under the concept of autotelia as opposed to the notion of productivity, and is linked to James Carse's conception of finite games and infinite games, with regard to the use of play as a didactic strategy and pedagogical tool in the school environment, in processes of educational intervention and in the spectrum of scientific research literature. It is concluded by affirming that there is an epistemic incongruence in relation to the notion of play in the school environment, which is based on a rupture of the magic circle proposed by Johan Huizinga, which, from the outset, confirms that the school has colonised play. El artículo aborda la novela Otra vez el mar (1982) y la nouvelle Arturo, la estrella más brillante (1984) de Reinaldo Arenas (Holguín, 1943- Nueva York, 1990) a partir de la problematización del quehacer literario en relación con las “ficciones” subjetivas producto de la imaginación de los protagonistas. La concepción de la literatura y del lenguaje que se configura desde ambas narraciones asume un carácter bivalente y contradictorio, tensionado hacia lo testimonial por un lado y por otro hacia la fantasía como reducto de lo inefable.

La presente investigación trata sobre el coral del cuarto movimiento de la Novena sinfonía de Beethoven, para lo cual se busca la fuente de dónde nace y toma forma la idea musical, con referencias relacionadas en primer lugar con el segundo lied Gegenliebe de la cantata secular Seufzer eines Ungeliebten - Gegenliebe WoO 118, compuesta por un Beethoven joven. La segunda referencia es la Fantasía para piano, coro y orquesta en do menor, op. 80, compuesta cuando Beethoven tenía 38 años. Esta obra tiene similitud con el cuarto movimiento de la Novena sinfonía del mismo compositor, tanto en los temas como en el conjunto musical en general, en especial con la entrada jubilosa del “Himno a la alegría” del coro. Se hace un análisis de las tres obras tanto de los textos de los poetas Bürger y Schiller, así como la música vocal, coral e instrumental que dio origen al nacimiento de la sinfonía coral en la Novena de Beethoven.

Hautajaiset ovat keskeinen osa normaalia elämän kiertokulkua niin reaalimaailmassa kuin usein fantasiafiktiossakin. Elämä päättyy kuolemaan ja tällöin pidetään yleensä hautajaiset. Kuolemaan liittyy tapoja, jotka voivat olla uskonnollisia eli uskomusjärjestelmään pohjautuvaan elämäntapaan viittaavia. Nykyfantasian keskeisen kirjailijan J.R.R. Tolkienin teoksissa uskonnollisuus on läsnä, vaikkakin useimmin vain ohimennen vihjattuina ilmiöinä. Tolkienin maailmanrakennuksessa ja fantasian suurissa kertomuksissa uskonnot ovat sivuroolissa, esimerkiksi pieninä rukouksina tai toiveina ylemmille voimille sekä arkiseen elämään kuuluvina rituaaleina, kuten häinä ja hautajaisina. Tässä artikkelissa tutkin Tolkienin fantasiassa kuvattuja hautaamistapoja. Vertailen niitä ja pohdin niiden yhteyksiä reaalimaailmaamme. Elämän loppumisen huomioivana ja, etenkin kristillisessä kontekstissa, myös maallisen elämän päätöstä juhlistavana tapahtumana hautajaiset ovat tunteellisia ja merkittäviä. Artikkelini lähestyy kirjallisuustieteellisen lähiluvun kautta hautajaisia Tolkienin fantasiassa, erityisesti hänen tunnetuimmissa teoksissaan, Hobitti eli sinne ja takaisin ja Taru sormusten herrasta. Lisäksi hyödynnän yleisen teologian ja uskontotieteen näkökulmia hautaamisesta.

El presente estudio se desarrolla en el campo de la poesía escrita para niños y niñas en Chile durante los años setenta, a fin de indagar en las posibilidades del lenguaje poético para tomar posición frente a sus contextos de producción y circulación. Para estos efectos, se profundiza en la obra de las creadoras chilenas María de la Luz Uribe y Charo Cofré, quienes desarrollaron durante el periodo un trabajo coral desde la poesía, la música y la visualidad (esto último gracias a la relevante participación del ilustrador Fernando Krahn), el que se materializa en la publicación del disco Tolín, tolín, tolán (1972). Considerado un hito sin precedentes en la historia de la música infantil chilena, esta producción hoy se actualiza gracias al trabajo de rescate patrimonial realizado por el sello chileno Monophone y su reciente reedición del álbum (2022) para conmemorar los cincuenta años desde su publicación. Así pues, a partir de la lectura crítica de algunos poemas cantados de la obra, este trabajo merodea en los entresijos de la memoria traumática y revisa las trayectorias de la creación poética destinada a niños y niñas durante el periodo dictatorial chileno, marcadas por la articulación de imaginarios transformadores sobre la infancia y la reivindicación de su carácter político a partir de estéticas del disenso que combinan lo fantástico, lo subversivo y lo neosubversivo, estableciendo un significativo diálogo con las nuevas generaciones.

Este artículo examina la caracterización de la fantasía en la filosofía de Hegel. Se defiende la tesis de que aquella se configura como una crítica al romanticismo jenense, cuyos vestigios cabría ya situar en el corazón de la Enciclopedia, hasta su puesta en práctica en la Estética. La característica ambigüedad que Hegel despliega en este intento de encaje de sus aspiraciones juveniles, en orden a formar una fantasía nacional, se explicará atendiendo al lugar que ocupa la obra de Calderón de la Barca.

The gatekeeper concept, borrowed from the comunication theory which study the indicidual whose decisions impact the kind of information that will be spread, is used together with the ideia of a literary system from Antonio Candido to observe how the readers, in special case the fan-readers of fantasy books, take on a critic position and interfered in what is allowed or not inside the groups of fans, the fandom. Freud’s lecture given on December 1, 1909, at the Vienna Psychoanalytic Society on Leonardo da Vinci is examined. This lecture is a forerunner of his later article Leonardo da Vinci and a Memory of his Childhood (Freud, 1910b). An attempt is made to emphasize the inconsistency between Freud’s hypotheses and the historical data by then at his disposal. Avoiding entering Freud’s vulture slip that many scholars have pointed out and Freud never acknowledged, concerns are expressed about Freud’s required documentation in the field of art history and about the method he employed for the portrayal of Leonardo da Vinci’s personality. It seems that Freud willingly avoided historical data choosing almost entirely to rely on applied psychoanalysis widely employing his own phantasies in attempting to overcome the paucity of knowledge on Leonardo da Vinci’s childhood. Freud himself later acknowledged that his 1910 paper was partly a fictional story along the lines of Mereskovskij’s 1895 book on Leonardo. A crucial inconsistency of this lecture, that will not be amended in his paper of 1910, relates to the fact that Freud changed into a phantasy what Leonardo had reported as a childhood memory. O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar, sob o viés psicanalítico, a relação entre o sujeito e seu Deus na medida em que essa relação está diretamente ligada ao próprio funcionamento do seu psiquismo. Ou seja, para a psicanálise a origem dessa relação está no próprio sujeito. Nesse sentido, retrataremos de maneira breve o caminho percorrido por Freud acerca da passagem do animismo às religiões e da importância do totemismo como um exemplo para aquilo que a psicanálise chamou de registo simbólico. Tal registro possibilita pensar o (P)ai como metáfora e, portanto, situar Deus no lugar simbólico do Pai de todos, onipotente, onipresente, que protege e ao mesmo tempo castiga aqueles que desobedecem suas leis. A relação com a Lei internalizada pela metáfora paterna é a marca fundamental da estrutura neurótica que precisa administrar o conflito entre os desejos e as privações. Por fim, avançamos com a noção de Das Ding apresentada por Freud e desenvolvida por Lacan que representa o reencontro com o desde sempre perdido. O sujeito conseguirá algum tipo de relação com o Das Ding por meio da fantasia – recurso imaginário que reveste o impossível de possibilidades como a da salvação, da vida eterna e tantas outras promessas divinas.

This study proposes a novel method for obtaining the electrocardiogram (ECG) derived respiration (EDR) from a single lead ECG and respiration-derived cardiogram (RDC) from a respiratory stretch sensor. The research aims to reconstruct the respiration waveform, determine the respiration rate from ECG QRS heartbeat complexes data, locate heartbeats, and calculate a heart rate (HR) using the respiration signal. The accuracy of both methods will be evaluated by comparing located QRS complexes and inspiration maxima to reference positions. The findings of this study will ultimately contribute to the development of new, more accurate, and efficient methods for identifying heartbeats in respiratory signals, leading to better diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases, particularly during sleep where respiration monitoring is paramount to detect apnoea and other respiratory dysfunctions linked to a decreased life quality and known cause of cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, this work could potentially assist in determining the feasibility of using simple, no-contact wearable devices for obtaining simultaneous cardiology and respiratory data from a single device. This article analyzes the Adagio opening movement of Fanny Hensel's sole string quartet by reading the ways in which it dialogues with several genres: the increasingly independent early nineteenth-century slow introduction; the slow first movement; eighteenth- and early nineteenth-century sonata form; and the fantasia. I build this generic context by considering the historical development of the slow introduction and drawing attention to such overlapping identities in two cello sonata movements by Ludwig van Beethoven and in Hensel's Sonata o Fantasia in G minor for Piano and Cello (1829). Bogotá zombie, se levantan los muertos el 9 de Abril y Zugar Zombie son dos obras que reescriben una parte de la historia de la violencia en Colombia en clave de ucronía incluyendo la temática zombi. La primera plantea un contexto alternativo al asesinato del líder político Jorge Eliécer Gaitán, ocurrido en 1948; la segunda evidencia las fatídicas consecuencias de la corrupción política. La metáfora de los muertos vivientes expone la profunda crisis latinoamericana y las desigualdades sociales que se acentúan por motivos políticos o por diferencias de clases. El uso de zombis abre la posibilidad de un tono irónico que estructura la crítica aguda en los dos casos. Para comprender la relevancia de estas manifestaciones artísticas será necesario revisar el género fantástico y de ciencia ficción en Latinoamérica, así como las obras que cuentan con un panorama donde se advierte la presencia constante de zombis con su amenaza horrorosa y a la vez satírica. Bogota zombie, the dead rise on April 9 and Zugar Zombie are two works that rewrite in uchrony a part of the history of violence in Colombia. Both include a zombie theme to narrate the assasination of political leader Jorge Eliécer Gaitán in 1948 and the fateful consequences of political corruption, respectively. The metaphor of the living dead exposes the deep Latin-American crisis and social inequalities that are emphasized by political reasons or due to class differences. To fully understand the relevance of these artistic manifestations, it will be necessary to review both the fantastic and science fiction genre in Latin America, as well as the works that have a full picture where the constant presence of zombies with their horrific and satirical threat is noted.

O artigo se propõe a incitar reflexões sobre a função da fantasia na psicanálise a partir do contato de Lacan com a obra do artista René Magritte, e especificamente, com o quadro La condition humaine (1933). Analisam-se algumas vertentes do funcionamento fantasístico como realidade do sujeito e, acima de tudo, como "condição humana" ligada a uma evitação do contato com "a janela para o real", em relação à falta de objeto último para a satisfação pulsional, à inconsistência do Outro e ao desamparo fundamental. Para tanto, examinam-se os dilemas da relação subjetiva com o objeto a e com das Ding, investigando o funcionamento ambíguo da fantasia e o seu possível entendimento como obra de arte para uso interno do sujeito. Propõe-se, finalmente, uma ressonância entre a compreensão da arte na obra de Magritte e a direção do tratamento conforme proposta por Lacan.

El artículo examina las nociones de salud y enfermedad elaboradas por los planteamientos de G. Canguilhem. Estas son analizadas tomando en cuenta las hipótesis freudianas relativas a la neurosis, la normalidad y la enfermedad mental. En particular, se aborda el concepto de normatividad en la filosofía de G. Canguilhem, estableciendo un diálogo con las nociones de síntoma y enfermedad en los textos freudianos. En este marco, se da relevancia a la relación entre el síntoma y la fantasía como fenómenos que resaltan la creatividad del ser viviente. Se precisa que esta última se expresa de modo diferenciado en la organización de los cuadros neuróticos y psicóticos. Para finalizar, a través de las ideas expuestas por A. Badiou, se analiza la tensión entre la dimensión objetiva y subjetiva del sujeto, como sustrato lógico de la crítica que puede ser establecida de los procedimientos científico-naturales de la medicina y su afán de objetivación de la experiencia clínica.

This paper explores the tenuous boundaries between circumstantial reality and oneiric fantasy in the cinematic typology of science fiction. Starting from a brief analysis of the relationship between psychoanalysis and cinema, several parallels are drawn between psychoanalysis (as the "science of dreams") and science fiction (as a "dream of science"), and the structural conventions of this specific cinematographic genre are identified and analyzed. Often, the filmic structure of science fiction works includes parallel narrative plots that either synchronic or diachronically combine individual, prosaic and familial dramas, with grandiose, fantastic and alien events. The latter seem to provide an oneiric representation of the fantasies underlying the former, "paradoxically" making the science fiction film more realistic from a psychic standpoint, for including both the characters' observable behavior and the way they can experience, or represent, internally/fantastically the dilemmas of existence. OBJECTIVE: Recently, older people’s cardiovascular systems have been affected by aging-related changes. An electrocardiogram (ECG) provides information about cardiac health. Analyzing ECG signals can help doctors and researchers diagnose many deaths. ‎Besides direct ECG analysis, some measurements can be extracted from the ECG signals, and ‎one of the most important measurements is heart rate variability (HRV). Research and clinical domains can benefit from HRV measurement and analysis as a potential noninvasive tool for assessing autonomic nervous system activity. The HRV describes the variation between an ECG signal’s RR intervals over time and the change in that interval over time. An individual’s heart rate (HR) is a non-stationary signal, and its variation can indicate a medical condition or impending cardiac disease. Many factors, such as stress, gender, disease, and age, influence HRV. METHODS: The data for this study is taken from a standard database, the Fantasia Database, which contains 40 subjects, including two groups of 20 young subjects (21‒34 years old) and 20 older subjects (68‒85 years old). We used two non-linear methods, Poincare and Recurrence Quantification Analysis (RQA), to determine how different age groups affect HRV using Matlab and Kubios software. RESULTS: By analyzing some features extracted from this non-linear method based on a mathematical model and making a comparison, the results indicate that the SD1, SD2, SD1/SD2, and area of an ellipse (S) in Poincare will be lower in old people than in young people, but %REC, %DET, Lmean and Lmax will recur more often in older people than in younger ones. Poincare Plot and RQA show opposite correlations with aging. In addition, Poincaré’s plot showed that young people have a greater range of changes than the elderly. CONCLUSION: According to the result of this study, heart rate changes can be reduced by aging, and ignoring this issue could lead to cardiovascular disease in the future (Tab. 3, Fig. 7, Ref. 55). Las siguientes páginas versan sobre el valor que el filósofo español José Ortega y Gasset (1883-1955) concedió en su obra de madurez intelectual a la fantasía o la imaginación como dimensión fundamental de la vida humana como realidad radical que nos permite trascender, aunque sea a costa de convertirnos en tránsfugas o desertores de nuestra propia animalidad, nuestra propia naturaleza instintiva e irracional. Nuestra argumentación pivotará en torno a la conocida tesis del filósofo español que dice que «el hombre no tiene naturaleza, sino que tiene... historia», que es, según Ortega, esforzarse en realizar lo imaginario, lo que nos permite hablar del ser humano como animal fantástico, estando aquí la clave de este trabajo.

Resumo A arte decorativa, com seu pressuposto de criar coisas de fantasia ornamental, costumou estar alijada dos debates sobre modernismos no Brasil, apesar de sua ação significativa para os processos de modernidade. Diante de sua natureza polissêmica, muitas manifestações de cunho popular podem estar nela incluídas, produzidas por atores ausentes da historiografia da arte canônica, considerados incultos, malcriados e desviados. Ao assumir carros alegóricos e fantasias de Carnaval como atitudes decorativas, referenciadas por Fléxa Ribeiro, é possível desenvolver outras visadas sobre ações decorativas da modernidade e sobre seus protagonistas, por vezes pouco conhecidos nessas ações e, na maioria, anônimos.

En una etnografía que realicé durante 12 años en una ciudad de la frontera sur de México me encontré con dos objetos ―un Niño Dios de yeso y una soga de plástico― que marcaron el curso de la investigación. Esos hallazgos revelaron, por un lado, vidas intersticiales y, por otro, formas de pensar las materialidades de la alteridad, los modos en los que esos objetos y formas de existencia están investidos libidinalmente y son merodeados por espectros. El Niños Dios y la soga nos permiten explorar registros de la subjetividad y las relaciones sociales que no podemos conocer mediante las prácticas habituales de investigación. Si, como argumento, las fantasías no son “observables” ni directamente interrogables, me pregunto cómo podemos aproximarnos a ellas. Propongo que dichos objetos funcionan como pequeñas máquinas epistémicas que condensan algunas fantasías sociales y nos permiten explorar tensiones entre formas disidentes de vida y de deseo y antagonismos sociales velados o eludidos.

El artículo se inscribe en el campo de la crítica ideológica y reflexiona sobre el vínculo entre las figuras de la infancia y la fantasía del mérito. Para ello toma en cuenta escenas de la comunicación política y de la producción informativa que circularon entre 2015 y 2021 en Argentina. En esta indagación, la noción de fantasías (sociales e ideológicas) se torna central, dado que permite dar cuenta de los modos de funcionamiento ideológico de las narraciones seleccionadas para su abordaje. En la primera parte del artículo se trabaja sobre los conceptos centrales: infancia, mérito e ideología en una perspectiva crítica. Luego se da cuenta del término fantasías y su operatividad en el marco de la estrategia analítica. En la tercera parte, se presenta el análisis y la interpretación de las escenas seleccionadas. Por último, se exponen una serie de consideraciones finales acerca del modo en que opera lo ideológico y sus implicancias.

Entre las lecciones extraídas por Ireneo de la tercera tentación de Jesús en el desierto (Adv. haer. 5. 22. 2), se destacan la del carácter falaz de los sentidos y la necesidad de no dejarse sorprender por las riquezas, por la gloria mundana y por la fantasía presente (praesenti phantasia). El término griego φαντασία que tiene su equivalente latino en imaginatio, había sido ampliamente analizado en la lógica estoica, antes de experimentar ciertos cambios a través del tiempo que lo confinaron al campo de la psicología. Ligada al asentimiento (συνκατάθεσις) y al appetitus, arrastra al sabio al error. La novedad de San Ireneo consiste en otorgarle a la fantasía un matiz religioso, el del aspecto ilusorio del mundo sensible que engendra en quien lo contempla imágenes engañosas.

Esta investigación plantea, a través de un análisis narrativo y visual, una interpretación del discurso feminista y geopolítico subyacente en algunas obras del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel, una de las sagas más exitosas y populares del siglo XXI. El aspecto más interesante reside en que, bajo la iconografía y los tropos del fantástico y la ciencia ficción, estas narraciones superheroicas tratan temas de actualidad referentes a la acción geopolítica y de expansión económicocultural que lleva a cabo Estados Unidos y a movimientos sociales como el feminismo y el #MeToo. Aun siendo una constante en otras entregas de la saga, en los recientes filmes Viuda Negra y Doctor Strange y en la serie Wandavision se aprecian claramente correspondencias y alusiones a hechos y personajes relevantes involucrados en episodios decisivos del país norteamericano. El análisis fílmico permitirá identificar esas ideas subyacentes en las formas, la iconografía y las estrategias narrativo-persuasivas.

In the early years of psychoanalytic theory, Freud dedicated himself to developing the concept of fantasy, observing its presence in myriad human activities. In the present work, we underscore the presence of fantasy in three of these activities: the child's play, pubescent reveries, and the writer's poetic creation. Based on this emphasis, we propose an investigation into how fantasy circulates in different places of creation. Choosing the three activities mentioned above, we discuss how these activities put the subject of the unconscious into play. It is understood that in the different modalities of fantasizing and in the formations of the unconscious, when in play the subject offers a different place in relation to the Other. As a theoretical support, we operate from three logical temporalities, utilizing as a base the problem of the prisoner's dilemma as described by Lacan. The first temporality, the instant of seeing, is related to the child's playing and dreaming. The temporality of understanding is related to reverie/parapraxis; finally, the moment of conclusion is related to jokes and artistic creation. Several recently published international relations and criminal justice writings, textbooks, and supplements focus on using science fiction and fantasy texts to teach social science theories. This article investigates how science fiction and fantasy examples affect student learning compared to documentary films. We use mixed methods to conduct two studies on the use of science fiction and fantasy in political science and criminal justice classrooms. In the first study, we divide up a large lecture class, comparing how examples from the HBO series Game of Thrones versus documentary films affect student learning about the United Nations and peacekeeping. Our second study uses a combination of interviews and surveys to assess how students apply various criminological theories to the 1997 film Gattaca versus a documentary. Our research reveals that science fiction and fantasy examples neither help nor harm student learning. However, incorporating examples from fictional worlds may alienate some students, affecting their enjoyment of class and perception of preparedness. Most importantly, we find that the use of fictional examples creates an interpretive barrier in the classroom. Thus, we recommend judicious use of science fiction and fantasy examples. In "Work Structure and Musical Representation: Reflections on Adorno's Analyzes for Interpretation", Gianmario Borio states that the Adorno's analysis of Schoenberg's op. 47, was only "partially successful". His problems stemmed above all from the central role attributed to the fantasy form and from a certain lack of knowledge of the structuring possibilities of the serial technique. In this article, we will make an exegesis of Adorno's interpretive analysis of op. 47, in order to show how his merit and success stem precisely from what Borio thought was his weakness. Examining Adorno's analysis will reveal how the incorporation of notions such as verbindlich Unverbindlichkeit (itálico) and Störungsfaktoren (itálico) allow Adorno to escape from a mathematical analysis of the piece and achieve a more nuanced, more lively objectivity of the musical phenomenon. This paper explores in detail the concept of ideology in Žižek's work, showing its affiliation with Lacan's notion of phantasm. Considering ideology in the light of its relations with the divided subject and with the objet a, the essay shows how ideology intervenes on two levels that must be distinguished: the fantasy and the symptom. What I will propose is that ideology looks on one side towards fantasy, whose function is to hide the difference between political reality and the real, and on the other it evokes the symptom, which is the return of the real, of what was excluded from reality and which, nevertheless, appears to reintroduce the lack in the social field. This premise will lead me to argue that if the symptom is what makes the unification of reality impossible, the danger of the realization of fantasy lies in the search for a fully reconciled political reality. Where the project of fantasy becomes the destruction of the symptom, the elimination of social conflict, violence becomes unlimited, it never ends. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper aimed to analyze trauma during the pandemic through the concepts of discourse and fantasy by using the bibliographic research method. First, it discusses the widening of the generalized transference regarding the medical discourse during the pandemic. Second, it examines the role of fantasy in shaping the catastrophic event of the Covid-19 pandemic as a psychic trauma. Third, it analyzes the characteristics of the Covid-19 pandemic favorable to the emergence of trauma. It finally points out the presence of generalized abandonment in the pandemic, a context favorable to the eruption of trauma, which will only be triggered if the pandemic catastrophe conflicts with the meanings of the subject's fantasy. Starting from the perceptible conflict between the fantastical determinations of the social referring to the feminine and the woman's desire as a subject who arrives at the clinic materialized in a deep psychic suffering that she seems unable to go through, we question: what would be the elements of the social scene strung in fantasy that point to what we consider representations of the feminine? Thus, we aim to articulate the graph of desire in Lacan with the notion of social fantasy in Zizek to try to answer what would be feminine in fantasy, that is, how the dialectic of desire and the notion of social fantasy can help us to understand the constructions feminine fantasies. For that, we make use of a theoretical investigation focusing on the Lacanian text Subversion of the subject and the dialectic of desire in the Freudian unconscious (1960) and on the text of Slavoj Zizek They do not know what they do -- the sublime object of ideology (1992), without disregard, however, commentators of both theorists mentioned. In this perspective, this study developed the articulation of the concepts -- fantasy, desire, feminine and social fantasy - seeking to organize itself from three questions: 1) How do Zizek's elaborations on ideology as social fantasy help us to understand the dialectic of the desire in Lacan?; 2) How does the Other's desire, as a social one, remain in the subject's fantasy, in order to respond to the fundamental articulation between demand and desire?; 3) Under what reason are the conjunctural elements taken in the structural perspective that compose what we understand by feminine in fantasy? Based on the assertion that society does not exist by itself, the feminine in fantasy could sustain the fantasy of a social order, by fulfilling the function of plugging the holes left by the dissymmetry between the subject and the social. Each day, the world has been more virtualized. We not only stablish bonds by virtuality, but we also try to stablish bonds with these small techno science's objects: the gadgets. Based on this, this article aims to explore the social bond that there is between the subjects and their consumption objects, as we can notice on her movie, in which a man falls in love for an operational system's voice. To do so, we use Lacan's speeches theory which helped us to work on the subject's questions and the social bond from the use of technology and recognizing in it something from the subject and the bond itself, as well as think about its limits and possibilities at this point.
