Palladium nanoparticles were supported on L-H-functionalized KIT-6 (KIT-6@L-H-Pd) and evaluated using various characterization techniques such as TGA, FT-IR, SEM, XRD, EDS, and BET. KIT-6@L-H-Pd showed excellent catalytic performance as a recyclable nanocatalyst for the oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides and the amination of aryl halides. This approach offers multiple benefits, including the use of readily available and cost-effective materials, a straightforward procedure, short reaction durations, high yields, and a catalyst that is easy to separate and reuse. The barrier that occurs between traditional and renewable lubricant basestocks needs to be closed by the lubricant industry. Maximal esters conversion was the goal in the synthesis of waste cooking oil methyl esters (WCOME), that were produced from waste cooking oil (WCO). In this study, waste cooking oil was to be used as the principal feedstock to make a biodegradable lubricant-grade ester with better tribological properties than commercial lubricant or cited biolubricants. The final esters physicochemical and tribological characterization came after the three steps of the synthetic process—transesterification, epoxidation, and ring-opening reaction using diverse long chain alcohols. Following the first transformation of WCO into WCOME, more chemical alterations were done. In this study, waste cooking oil underwent chemical epoxidation and ring opening reactions to improve its physicochemical characteristics and tribological characteristics to be utilised as a bio lubricant that can be utilised in various industrial application. The products were confirmed and characterised using NMR and FTIR. The efficacy of these produced bio lubricants was evaluated using a variety of analytical techniques, and it was discovered that it was on par with that of the lubricant that was commercially available or that was cited in the literature. The physico-chemical properties of synthesised esters were determined and compared using established methods. Overall, it was concluded from the physico-chemical and tribological characterization data that the generated esters might be used as a base stock for alternative lubricants in a number of industrial applications. • Negative influences of psychotropics on the environment are multifaceted. • Once daily prescriptions curtail unnecessary manufacturing of psychotropics. • Educational letters help reduce benzodiazepine overprescribing. • Continuation of antipsychotics in schizophrenia may be less polluting than stoppage. • Data transparency may enable selection of relatively 'clean' psychotropics. Despite the multifaceted negative influences of psychotropic medications on the environment, an overview of such effects and of actions to curtail them is currently lacking. We therefore summarized the most relevant literature on what we refer to as Environmentally Conscious Psychopharmacotherapy (ECP), i.e., prescribing the most appropriate psychotropic medications for patients while at the same time considering the wellbeing of the planet. In our literature appraisal we identified viable actions at the levels of industry, physicians, pharmacists, patients, and policymakers that can reduce the environmental hazards associated with psychotropics. We divided these actions into the following categories: careful treatment selection, curtailing overprescribing, adequate disposal of medication by users, and transparent reporting of environmental risk. For each of these categories, we give examples of practices are in line with ECP, which in turn has the potential to reduce the impact of psychotropic medication prescribing practices on the environment. We note that many such practices result in co-benefits for patients, prescribers and the environment. On the other hand, evidence on environmental impact is lacking for several factors related to these medications, e.g., geographical region of manufacturing, duration of use, pharmacological vs. non-pharmaceutical treatment options, and ecotoxicological data. We conclude that general as well as disorder-specific considerations for clinicians prescribing psychotropics already carry the potential to limit the environmental burden associated with these agents. In many conurbations, the pressure on the quality of living increases and affects the most vulnerable human and non-human populations the most. This article describes a proposal for the mapping and design investigation of how a green metropolis can be developed. The approach distinguishes between the landscape producing pain, the ways of healing, and the opportunities to create environments that people can love. This approach reveals concrete and widespread pain in the metropolis, such as impacts on natural landscapes (rivers and mountains), air pollution, ecological degradation, and hydrological disconnections. The strategy to remediate this pain is to uncover hidden and altered creeks and rivers, creating an abundant zone of ecological space around them before human activities and urbanization change the land uses. In addition to this, specific design principles have been developed for hydro-ecological corridors, water retention, green islands, and greenways. Designs for these places can be replicated to support a healing strategy in the Monterrey Metropolitan Area (MMA). Each place creates an environment that the urban residents will appreciate and preserve. The approach to analyzing landscape pain, designing healing strategies, and promoting local places of love can be applied to enhance the quality of life for many urban residents and non-human ecologies in metropolitan areas around the globe. Sixth-generation (6G) networks are anticipated to achieve transformative advancements, characterized by extreme connectivity, deep integration with artificial intelligence (AI) and sensing, and airground integration. The evolution of 6G exhibits two major trends: ubiquitous intelligence and sustainability. The former aims to embed state-of-the-art AI technology into the 6G network, from the physical layers to applications, while the latter emphasizes reducing energy consumption while enhancing network performance to address environmental concerns. Despite the amazing progress in recent years, AI advancements come with substantial increases in data and computational overhead, posing critical challenges for integrating AI into sustainable 6G networks. First, high energy consumption from large datasets and heavyweight AI models contradicts 6G’s green goals. Second, the precise collection of large datasets, message delivery latency, and inference delays in AI models pose challenges for real-time tasks in 6G. Third, the uninterpretability and unpredictability of AI models complicate meeting the stringent requirements for controllable transmission in dynamic wireless environments. Addressing these challenges and achieving sustainable 6G with ubiquitous intelligence calls for a revolutionary design of 6G architecture and AI frameworks. To this end, this paper introduces a novel and practical methodology for green, real-time, and controllable 6G native intelligence, starting with knowledge graph (KG) analysis to extract small but critical datasets, followed by the development of distributed lightweight AI models, and the use of digital twins (DTs) to create precise replicas of physical 6G networks. This leads to a pervasive multi-level (PML)-AI framework supported by a task-centric, three-layer 6G architecture. The AI framework operates through non-real-time and real-time cycles, leveraging three key technologies: wireless data KGs for efficient data management, lightweight AI models for sub-millisecond real-time responsiveness, and DTs for AI pre-validation. A prototype system is built on the proposed 6G architecture and PML-AI framework, and experimental results show that data overhead is significantly reduced and real-time intelligence at the millisecond level can be realized. This study examines the effect of green finance on green technology innovation among China’s Prefecture-level Cities. Green finance can direct financial resources towards environment-friendly projects and industries, thereby facilitating green technology innovation. Consistent with this view, our empirical results indicate a significantly positive association between the two, suggesting that green finance promoted green technology innovation in Chinese cities. Further analysis indicates that the positive effect of green finance on green technology innovation is more pronounced for cities in the eastern region of China than for those in the western region. Work on modeling golf ball roll on a flat putting surface with both a constant and variable coefficient of rolling friction is presented, using the roll model derived by Penner. Experimental data using overhead cameras to capture the entirety of a putt's roll on a number of surfaces is presented, as well as a method of fitting both constant and variable coefficients of friction from this data. Behavior of the variable coefficient of friction relative to golf ball velocity for the various surfaces is discussed in detail based on the experimental data analysis. It was found that the rolling friction coefficient decreased with decreasing velocity on three of the four surfaces studied, while the fourth demonstrated the opposite behavior, that is, greater rolling resistance as the golf ball slowed. Finally, putt roll out distance predictions from the two models with constant and variable coefficients of friction were compared to a separate set of experimental data, and conclusions were drawn for future model implementation and use. Objective: To understand views of staff in relation to attitudes, enablers, and barriers to implementation of environmentally sustainable surgery in operating theatres. This will ultimately help in the goal of successfully implementing more sustainable theatres. Background: Global health care sectors are responsible for 4.4% of greenhouse gas emissions. Surgical operating theatres are resource intensive areas and improvements will be important to meet Net-Zero carbon emissions within health care. Methods: Three databases were searched (Web of Science, Ovid, and PubMed), last checked January 2024. We included original manuscripts evaluating staff views regarding sustainable operating theatres. The Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool was used for quality appraisal and data analysed using thematic synthesis. Results: A total of 2933 articles were screened and 14 fulfilled inclusion criteria, using qualitative (1), quantitative (2), and mixed methods (11). Studies were undertaken in a variety of clinical (Department of Anaesthesia, Surgery, Otolaryngology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Ophthalmology) and geographical settings (Australia, Canada, France, Germany, New Zealand, United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland). Across studies there was a lack of evidence exploring enablers to implementation, but barriers mainly related to the following themes: education and awareness, leadership, resistance to change, facilities and equipment, time, and incentive. Conclusions: This systematic review identified attitudes and barriers perceived by clinicians towards improving environmental sustainability within operating theatres, which may inform future strategy towards sustainable surgery. Most studies used a survey-design, whereas use of interviews may provide deeper insights. Future work should be extended to wider stakeholders influencing operating theatres. Modern agri‐food supply chains are gradually becoming complex due to perishability, seasonality, frequent disruption, fluctuating consumer requirements and environmental concerns. Implementing multiple practices may help to address this complexity and develop a robust agri‐food supply chain that enables a competitive edge for the organisation. This paper discusses the possibility of integrating various supply chain practices through Industry 4.0 in the agri‐food supply chain. In addition, getting insights from bibliometric and systematic reviews. The study tried to search for various possible keywords to import the data on multiple research platforms such as Web of Science, Science Direct and Scopus. All the collected data were merged into a single file, removing duplicates and verifying the papers based on the abstract and title for relevancy. Finally, the study concluded the systematic review of 97 research articles. By analyzing the content of all the articles and reviewing articles through a bibliometric package of 'R'. The paper's finding suggests that integrating all these practices mentioned in the article gives a collaborative output of a sustainable, efficient, flexible and resilient supply chain that leverages Industry 4.0 technology to market dynamics while maximizing sustainable impact. The researcher and practitioner advised a wise implementation of all the supply chain practices mentioned in this article and suggested understanding their benefit to the organisation. Nanoclays (layered silicates) have been applied as effective reinforcements for range of natural and synthetic polymeric matrices. Recent research has turned toward design and exploration of green nanocomposites using green polymers and nanoclay nanofillers. This state-of-the-art comprehensive overview debates design and performance prospects of green nanoclay nanocomposites. In this regard, numerous green polymers like poly(lactic acid), poly(vinyl alcohol), natural rubber, cellulose, starch, etc. have been considered. The effectiveness of green nanoclay nanocomposites has been analyzed through microscopic, electrical, mechanical, thermal, adsorption, and biomedical properties and wide span of applications such as packaging, dye removal, and biomedical sectors. Packaging based on cellulose/montmorillonite had very low water vapor transmission rate of 43 g/m2.day, whereas poly(lactic acid)/cellulose/montmorillonite packaging performed better with high water vapor transmission rate of 512–1861 g/m2.day. Poly(vinyl alcohol)/Cloisite Na possess optimum water vapor transmission rate of 533 g/m2.day. Nanocellulose/nanoclay packagings have also been found ideal due to low water vapor permeability (6.3–13.3 g.μm/m2.day.kPa) and oxygen permeability (0.07 cm3μm/m2.day.kPa) values. In dye removal applications, poly(ethylene glycol)/montmorillonite revealed optimum dye adsorption capacities of 190–237 mg/g, where chitosan/montmorillonite had high dye adsorption capacity of 446.43 mg/g. Poly(lactic acid)/modified Cloisite 20 A systems also own high dye adsorption efficiency of 97%. Poly(ɛ-caprolactone) and poly(vinyl alcohol) systems with montmorillonite nanoclay have effective drug delivery, tissue engineering, and wound healing applications. Furthermore, dielectric, mechanical, non-flammability, and self-extinguishing features of cellulose/montmorillonite nanocomposite systems have been reported. In this paper, after a brief investigation of the history of chemical engineering in Iran and the world, the published papers related to chemical engineering education in the Iranian Journal of Engineering Education, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary of publication, were reviewed. In educational part of the present work, the novel educational methods such as remote education, e-learning, game-based education, virtual reality education and the outcomes of these methods are discussed. In addition, from the research perspective, the latest directions of chemical engineering such as stimuli-responsive polymeric micelles, drug delivery, cancer therapy, antimicrobial active packaging films, active food packaging, advanced electro spun nanofiber yarn-based textiles, wound healing applications, advanced technologies for water and wastewater treatment, application of nanomaterials and ionic metals, green and renewable energies, and the applications of artificial intelligence in chemical engineering were reviewed. From the foresight vision and considering the global changes such as environmental challenges, limited world resources, the novel areas of chemical engineering and its future, with emphasis on chemical engineering education, have been investigated. With progresses in many interdisciplinary areas such as energy and decarbonization, water, food, air, human health and medicine, it is being expected that great changes occur in the education of chemical engineering.

The green consumerism movement is gaining steam in emerging nations with middle-income or higher populations, such as Vietnam, and is particularly well-liked in affluent countries. In addition, the importance of green consumerism is gaining significant traction, alongside efforts to promote ecologically friendly production and consumption. As the economy progressed, people's living standards improved, leading to a growing need for high-quality, safe products and services. This is particularly true for items that directly serve people and contribute to their everyday lives. Therefore, the article aims to evaluate the factors affecting green consumer behavior and sustainable consumption based on the structural equation model with the least squares method to test their hypotheses. The data were applied in the study through a survey of 360 consumers in 04 big cities in Vietnam. Research results showed that seven factors impact green consumption behavior, including (1) environmental awareness, (2) green product characteristics, (3) green marketing, (4) perceptions about green product prices, (5) social influence, (6) environmental policy, and (7) green consumption policy with significance 0.01. The finding explores green consumption behavior influencing sustainable consumption with a significance of 0.01. The practical implication helps managers, policymakers, and manufacturers consider applications to improve humanity and behavior green consumption in the global context of moving towards sustainable green development. The theory implication is to change behavior to improve greening production, reduce pollution and greenhouse emissions, and move towards sustainable development, bringing many practical economic and social benefits and intangible value for businesses. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the existence of multiple positive symmetric solutions for fourth order $\mathrm{p}$-Laplacian iterative system with integral boundary conditions. Initially, we establish the existence of at least one and two positive symmetric solutions for the fourth order problem using Krasnosel’skii fixed point theorem. Subsequently, we establish the existence of at least three positive symmetric solutions by applying five-functionals fixed point theorem.

Background Fenugreek, or Trigonella foenum-graecum L, is an edible and medicinal plant of the Fabaceae family. Fenugreek seeds are rich in proteins, lipids, and essential nutrients, and they also contain various phytochemicals, including flavonoids, steroidal saponins, coumarin, and alkaloids such as trigonelline. Trigonelline (TG) is a bioactive plant alkaloid initially extracted from fenugreek seeds. A substantial portion of fenugreek’s health benefits may rely on the presence of TG. This study addresses the critical need for a fast, green, and economical method that overcomes inefficiencies, high solvent usage, and sensitivity limitations in the quantification of TG. Methods Fenugreek seeds from various origins were extracted using three green solvents: acetone (ACt), ethanol (EtOH), and water (H 2O). The UPLC-MS/MS method was developed and validated using a green mobile phase of H 2O: EtOH, and an r 2-value of 0.999 in the linearity range of 0.1-500 ppb was adopted. The method was validated with an accuracy of 98.6% for trace analysis of TG using a small amount (10 mg) of fenugreek samples from five different origins. Results The average extract yield was 5.36 mg/100 mg with a standard deviation (SD) of 6.3, with the highest extract yield observed in H 2O. The ESI (+ve) of the UPLC-MS/MS resulted in the fragmentation pattern ( m/z) 138→94.10→92.05→78.20. The TG quantification revealed an average TG concentration of 181.4 ppb (SD = 176.4), with the highest amount of TG in H 2O extract (mean = 392.7, SD = 132.4 ppb), followed by EtOH (mean = 91.9, SD = 83.3 ppb) and ACt (mean = 59.5, SD = 30.9 ppb). The TG amount observed in the validation step substantiated the efficiency and reproducibility of the developed method. Conclusions The method may be used as an effective tool for a green, rapid, economical, and eco-friendly extraction and quantification of TG in diverse matrices of pharmaceutical, cosmeceutical, herbal, and food products.

Introduction: Flexible endoscopic evaluations of swallowing (FEES) involve the administration of a variety of foods and liquids to assess outcomes related to pharyngeal residue, penetration, and aspiration. While the type and color of thin liquids used during FEES have been found to significantly affect FEES ratings, it is unknown if similar effects are observed with pureed foods. Therefore, the aims of this study were to assess the effects of puree type (applesauce vs. pudding) and color (natural, blue, green) on ratings of pharyngeal residue, penetration, and aspiration during FEES. Methods: Pharyngeal residue, penetration, and aspiration were assessed in 37 consecutive outpatient adults undergoing FEES. Patients were presented with two types of puree: 5 mL applesauce and 5 mL pudding. Each puree type was presented once with either blue or green food coloring added to it by a clinician. Each puree type was also presented once with no clinician-added food coloring (“natural”). The order of presentation was randomized between patients and all data were blindly analyzed by pairs of independent raters using the Visual Analysis of Swallowing Efficiency and Safety (VASES). Multilevel statistical models were used to examine the effects of puree type and color on oropharyngeal residue, hypopharyngeal residue, and Penetration-Aspiration Scale scores (PAS). Results: Pudding trials were associated with higher oropharyngeal residue ratings compared to applesauce trials. Blue-colored applesauce was associated with higher oropharyngeal and hypopharyngeal residue ratings when compared to natural applesauce. Lastly, green-colored applesauce and green-colored pudding were both associated with higher hypopharyngeal residue ratings compared to natural applesauce and natural pudding, respectively. Conclusion: This study identified statistically significant effects of puree type and color and ratings of pharyngeal residue ratings, but not penetration or aspiration, as seen during FEES. Introduction: Exposure to blue-enriched light from electronic devices is an emergent disruptor of human sleep, especially at particular times of day. Further dissection of this phenomenon necessitates modeling in a tractable model organism. Methods: Thus, we investigated the effects of light color on sleep in Drosophila melanogaster. We measured sleep in red-eyed Canton-S (CS) and white-eyed w 1118 flies in baseline 12:12 light/dark conditions and experimental conditions with light-color (blue, red, or green) exposure for all 12 h of daylight or 3 h in the morning or evening. Results: Blue light reduced daytime and nighttime sleep in CS but not in w 1118, potentially indicating a role for the compound eye in blue light's effects on fruit fly sleep. Red light, especially in the evening, reduced sleep during exposure in both strains. Green light had minimal effects on sleep in CS flies, but evening exposure reduced sleep in w 1118 flies, mimicking red light's effects. Discussion: In conclusion, light's effects on sleep in D. melanogaster are dependent on wavelength and time-of-day. Future studies will aim to dissect these mechanisms genetically. The textile and apparel industry a traditional pillar of China's national economy and social development plays a crucial role in addressing livelihood concerns improving quality of life and promoting international collaboration. It significantly contributes to economic growth job creation and the development of global competitive advantages. However the industry faces growing challenges related to resource consumption environmental pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. This situation demands more proactive measures to mitigate its environmental impact. Under China's carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals the importance of environmental information disclosure by textile and apparel enterprises has gained increasing attention highlighting the need to clarify its impact on enterprise value. This study draws on information asymmetry and signaling theory to examine the effect of environmental information disclosure quality on the value of textile and apparel enterprises. This study uses a sample of listed textile and apparel enterprises in Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares from 2009 to 2022. The sample includes enterprises from the textile apparel and accessories and chemical fiber manufacturing industries. A two-way fixed effect model is employed in the analysis. The analysis empirically investigates how environmental ratings as a proxy for disclosure quality influence enterprise value and explores the underlying mechanisms. This study offers the following contributions. First it focuses on representative textile and apparel enterprises to investigate how the quality of environmental information disclosure affects enterprise value within this sector. Second in terms of theoretical mechanisms the study suggests that disclosure quality enhances enterprise value by stimulating green innovation and increasing analyst attention. The analysis also highlights the moderating role of government subsidies in this process offering empirical evidence that helps unpack the black box of how environmental information disclosure elevates enterprise value. Third by utilizing environmental ratings in ESG as a measure of disclosure quality the study provides a more comprehensive assessment of corporate performance in this area offering valuable insights for future research. The findings demonstrate that higher environmental information disclosure quality significantly elevates enterprise value. This conclusion remains robust through a series of validation tests including addressing endogeneity with instrumental variables substituting dependent and independent variables accounting for lag effects and adjusting for outliers. Mechanism analysis reveals that disclosure quality enhances enterprise value by promoting green innovation and increasing analyst attention with government subsidies serving as a positive moderator. Further heterogeneity analysis shows that the value-enhancing effects of disclosure quality are more pronounced in non-state-owned enterprises large enterprises firms with weaker internal control and those within the textile industry. This study advances the understanding of how environmental information disclosure influences enterprise value in the textile and apparel sector providing both theoretical evidence on the causal relationship between disclosure quality and enterprise value as well as practical insights to support the green transition and high-quality development of the industry. The growing population and societal consumption patterns associated with unsustainable production routes have increased pollution levels. Because of the environmental pollution caused by petroleum‐derived plastics, it has become critical to develop an alternative biopolymer‐based biodegradable plastic for long‐term sustainability. Biopolymers are eco‐friendly due to their nontoxicity, biodegradability, stability, biocompatibility, rheological, and thermal properties. However, these polymers' production methods have hindered their progress toward a bright future of sustainable production and growth. Therefore, improved formulations and tactics are needed to develop new approaches. A range of methods for application in industry can transform Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs). Due to its affordability and simplicity of use, blending is regarded as one of the most successful methods. It has various uses, from absorbable sutures to biomedical implants and ecologically friendly resins, and useful applications in food packaging. Starch is a highly economical raw material and can be processed as an affordable substrate for innovative biodegradable polymers. In contrast to lowering water vapor and oxygen permeability, the addition of cross‐linking agents to starch/PHA blends increases thermal stability, elasticity, and compatibility between the starch and PHA molecules in the films. Purpose: Growing emphasis on long-term viability prompts researchers and industry professionals to collaborate on innovative approaches for sustainability and survival. Industry 4.0 (I4.0) technology's importance drives active adoption by firms amidst evolving business dynamics. This research examines the influence of I4.0 technologies on lean, agile resilient and green practices and their impact on supply chain performance. Design/methodology/approach: Survey data from Pakistani manufacturing enterprises were analyzed using SMART PLS to explore the relationship between I4.0 technology, supply chain practices and supply chain performance. Findings: I4.0 technologies significantly impact all practices, while agile and resilient supply chain approaches partially mediate the relationship with supply chain performance. Practical implications: Insights from this research guide policymakers and business experts in implementing and managing lean, agile, resilient and green practices. Integrating these principles with digital technology solutions enhances supply chain performance. With a turbulent market and a desire to withstand force, many companies lower the production price of their products using different approaches. On the one hand, they often use lean principles to reduce production costs, while they are compelled by the government to adopt green practices on the other. The proposed approach (model) is a combination of green, lean sustainable improvement, leading a company through the green, lean process with measurable results and optimization functions. In addition to its return on investment (ROI), a company can calculate its output (from material to emission flow) based on its input. Based on the radar chart we have produced, they can also know what they have achieved and in which direction they need to optimize to develop in as green and sustainable a way as possible. One example of a Slovenian automotive company demonstrates how the implementation of the proposed measures can effectively reduce environmental impact, while also ensuring a quick return on investment.
