Abstract
- The aim of this study is to investigate the moderator effect of career management on the relationship between perceived overqualification and intention to leave. For this purpose, the related literature has been examined at conceptual and theoretical level and research hypotheses have been developed based on the theoretical model created based on the theoretical context. Research participants were selected from public and private sector employees. An online questionnaire was created to provide data for the quantitatively designed research. Reliability and validity analyzes were made on the data obtained with the scales used in the research and the measurement model was tested. Regulatory analyzes were carried out through the analysis model created for the purpose of the research. As a result of the analyzes, while the moderator effect of career management was found on the relationship between perceived overqualification, which is one of the subdimensions of perceived overqualification, and intention to leave, there was no significant effect of career management on the relationship between the other two dimensions, the perception of attribution and simplicity, and the intention to leave.
