Abstract
- The article presents a study which developed blend films from nature soy protein isolates (SPI) and synthetical poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) compatibility by glycerol using a solution-casting method. The researchers investigated the compatibility, mechanical properties, and thermal stability of SPI/PVA films. SPI/PVA blend polymers have a glass transition temperature from 80 to 115.0 degree Celsius. SPI/PVA glycerol blend film is suggested to prepare soy protein plastics for practical use.
