Aiming at the path planning problem of mobile robot in dynamic environment, this paper proposes a fusion algorithm (IHHO-IDWA) of Improved Harris Hawk Algorithm (IHHO) and Improved Dynamic Window Algorithm (IDWA）. First of all, this paper proposed a fusion adaptive chaos and core population dynamic division strategy, a fusion golden sine strategy and a dynamic cloud optimal disturbance resolution strategy to improve the performance of and solve the lack of search performance in the late stage of the Harris Eagle algorithm. In addition, in view of the problems that the dynamic window algorithm has a long planned path and easy to fall into deadlock, it proposed three improvement strategies to solve them: Firstly, add sub-functions to ensure that the algorithm can plan a shorter path; secondly, propose an adaptive weight strategy, balance the local obstacle avoidance ability and global search performance of the algorithm; thirdly, set the initial heading angle to avoid path redundancy. Finally, through numerical experiments of test functions, CEC2014 functions, and static and dynamic path planning experiments, it is verified that the performance of IHHO and IDWA in this paper has been significantly improved; through the 50×50 large-scale dynamic map, it is verified that the path planned by the fusion algorithm is shorter than that planned by the control group algorithm. 11.51%, proving the superiority of the method in this paper. In the era of e-commerce, accurately predicting user purchase intentions has become a crucial factor for enhancing sales efficiency and optimizing the customer experience. Addressing the limitations of traditional ensemble strategies, which often suffer from subjective biases during the model design phase, this paper introduced an adaptive evolutionary ensemble learning model to predict user purchase intentions. This model adaptively selected the optimal base learners and meta-learners, incorporating both the predictive information from the base learners and the differential information between features to expand the feature dimensions, enhancing prediction accuracy. Moreover, to further refine the predictive capabilities of the model, this paper designed a binary adaptive differential evolution algorithm for feature selection, aiming to identify features that significantly influence the prediction outcome. Research results show that the binary adaptive differential evolution algorithm outperforms traditional optimization algorithms in global searches and feature selection. The zero-velocity update (ZUPT) algorithm is a pivotal advancement in pedestrian navigation accuracy, utilizing foot-mounted inertial sensors. Its key issue hinges on accurately identifying periods of zero-velocity during human movement. This paper introduces an innovative adaptive sliding window technique, leveraging the Fourier Transform to precisely isolate the pedestrian's gait frequency from spectral data. Building on this, the algorithm adaptively adjusts the zero-velocity detection threshold in accordance with the identified gait frequency. This adaptation significantly refines the accuracy in detecting zero-velocity intervals. Experimental evaluations reveal that this method outperforms traditional fixed-threshold approaches by enhancing precision and minimizing false positives. Experiments on single-step estimation show the adaptability of the algorithm to motion states such as slow, fast, and running. Additionally, the paper demonstrates pedestrian trajectory localization experiments under a variety of walking conditions. Truck hoisting detection constitutes a key focus in port security, for which no optimal resolution has been identified. To address the issues of high costs, susceptibility to weather conditions, and low accuracy in conventional methods for truck hoisting detection, a non-intrusive detection approach is proposed in this paper. The proposed approach utilizes a mathematical model and an extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) model. Electrical signals, including voltage and current, collected by Hall sensors are processed by the mathematical model, which augments their physical information. Subsequently, the dataset filtered by the mathematical model is used to train the XGBoost model, enabling the XGBoost model to effectively identify abnormal hoists. Improvements were observed in the performance of the XGBoost model as utilized in this paper. Finally, experiments were conducted at several stations. The overall false positive rate did not exceed 0.7% and no false negatives occurred in the experiments. The experimental results demonstrated the excellent performance of the proposed approach, which can reduce the costs and improve the accuracy of detection in container hoisting. This paper proposes a novel nature-inspired meta-heuristic algorithm, named Snow Geese Algorithm. It is inspired by the migratory behavior of snow geese and emulates the distinctive "Herringbone" and "Straight Line" shaped flight patterns observed during their migration. The algorithm is structured into three main phases for benchmark testing. In the first phase, the Snow Geese Algorithm's numerical results are compared with those of several classical meta-heuristic algorithms using the same test functions and original data from these algorithms. In the second phase, in order to minimize potential variations during the comparison, all algorithms undergo evaluation on a standardized testing platform. In the third phase, this paper applies the Snow Geese Algorithm to solve four widely recognized engineering optimization problems: the tubular column design, piston lever optimization design, reinforced concrete beam design and car side impact design. These real-world engineering problems serve as test cases to assess Snow Geese Algorithm problem-solving capabilities. Economic Dispatch Problems (EDP) refer to the process of determining the power output of generation units such that the electricity demand of the system is satisfied at a minimum cost while technical and operational constraints of the system are satisfied. This procedure is vital in the efficient energy management of electricity networks since it can ensure the reliable and efficient operation of power systems. As power systems transition from conventional to modern ones, new components and constraints are introduced to power systems, making the EDP increasingly complex. This highlights the importance of developing advanced optimization techniques that can efficiently handle these new complexities to ensure optimal operation and cost-effectiveness of power systems. This review paper provides a comprehensive exploration of the EDP, encompassing its mathematical formulation and the examination of commonly used problem formulation techniques, including single and multi-objective optimization methods. It also explores the progression of paradigms in economic dispatch, tracing the journey from traditional methods to contemporary strategies in power system management. The paper categorizes the commonly utilized techniques for solving EDP into four groups: conventional mathematical approaches, uncertainty modelling methods, artificial intelligence-driven techniques, and hybrid algorithms. It identifies critical research gaps, a predominant focus on single-case studies that limit the generalizability of findings, and the challenge of comparing research due to arbitrary system choices and formulation variations. Amid the conflict between the current huge data volumes and the requirement for large-compression-ratio compression in space-borne multichannel SAR, this paper proposes a data compression method that uses the adaptive bit allocation BAQ method in the Doppler domain of space-borne multichannel SAR. Specifically, 3MBAQ, which denotes multichannel, multipulse, multiweight block-adaptive quantization, performs signal reconstruction through a Krieger filter to obtain the Doppler spectrum under azimuthal multichannel and multipulse conditions and then achieves nonuniform bit allocation by using the multiple weight contributions between subband spectra. Furthermore, large-compression-ratio compression can be realized in homogeneous scenarios by using the adaptive bit allocation BAQ method together with the improved bit error control (BEC) algorithm. In this paper, the effectiveness of the 3MBAQ method is verified on GF3 measured data. Moreover, compared to the SQNR and NMSE of the BAQ, A-BAQ, A-BAQ-BEC, MCBAQ-ASQ, and MCBAQ-BEC methods under the same conditions, it is shown that there is an optimal 1.3434 dB improvement in SQNR and a 0.0241 improvement in NMSE using the 3MBAQ algorithm, and the complexity of the algorithm for 3MBAQ is O (N 2 l o g (N)) , which is within acceptable limits, clearly proving the superiority of the 3MBAQ method. The complex domain adaptive filtering algorithms has shown excellent performance in the field of signal processing. Among them, the well-known complex least mean square (CLMS) algorithm has been widely used in practical projects. However, the CLMS algorithm only considers the case where the output signal is disturbed by noise, ignores the input signal may also be interfered by noise. Moreover, the signal is likely to be disturbed by impulsive noise in practice. Based on the above problems, the complex total least mean M-estimation (CTLMM) adaptive algorithm based on the M-estimation function is put forward in this paper. The algorithm can well handle the case where both input and output signals are subject to complex domain noise interference, and it also shows robustness with impulsive noise. This paper also analyzes the local stability of the CTLMM algorithm and discuss the theoretical steady-state error of the algorithm. Objectives: Curve simplification is of importance in automated map generalization; nevertheless, the Douglas-Peucker (DP) algorithm popularly used in map generalization is not automatic, because a key parameter called distance tolerance (ε) must be given by experienced cartographers and needs to be input before execution of the algorithm. Methods: To solve the problem, this paper proposed a method to automatically calculate ε and by which the automation of the DP algorithm is achieved. The method consists of the following steps: (1) A formula is constructed by the Hausdorff distance for calculating the similarity degree (Ssim) between a curve at a larger scale and its simplified counterpart at a smaller scale. (2) 15 linear rivers are selected, and each of them is manually simplified to get their counterparts at seven different scales. The Ssim of each original river and each of its simplified counterpart at a smaller scale can be obtained using the formula constructed by the Hausdorff distance, and 15×7=105 coordinate pairs consisting of (S,Ssim) can be got, and a function between Ssim and S are constructed by the curve fitting using the coordinates. (3) In the meanwhile, the 15 rivers are simplified using a number of ε, and the Ssim of each original river and each of its simplified counterpart at a smaller scale can be calculated using the formula constructed by the Hausdorff distance. In this way, a number of coordinate pairs (ε,Ssim) are got, and a function between ε and Ssim is constructed by the curve fitting. (4) By the function between Ssim and S and that between ε and Ssim, a formula between ε and S can be deducted. Using the formula ε can be calculated automatically, because in a map generalization task S is usually known. After this step, automation of the DP algorithm is achieved. Results: The experiment results show that (1) The proposed DP algorithm can automatically simplify the rivers in a specific geographical area to get the results at different scales; and (2) the resulting river curves generated by the proposed DP algorithm have a high degree of similarity with the ones made by experienced cartographers. Their average similarity degree is 0.927. Conclusion: The proposed DP algorithm can simplify curve features on maps automatically, and the results are highly intelligent and credible. Although only river data is tested in this paper, the principle of the proposed method can be extended to other linear features on maps. Our future work will be on improving the accuracy of the proposed DP algorithm using more river data so that the algorithm can be used in practical map generalization engineering. In Intelligent Transport Systems (ITSs), Internet of Vehicles (IoV) communications and computation offloading technology have been introduced to assist with the burdensome sensing task processing, thus prompting a new design paradigm called mobile sensing–communication–computation (MSCC) synergy. Most researchers have focused on offloading strategy design to reduce energy consumption or execution costs, but ignore the intrinsic characteristics of tasks, which may lead to poor performance. This paper studies the offloading strategy of vehicle MSCC tasks represented by a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) structure. According to the DAG dependency of the subtasks, this paper proposes a computation offloading strategy to optimize energy consumption under time constraints. An energy consumption model for task execution is established. Then, the Simulated Annealing and Tabu Search hybrid optimization algorithm (ST-HO) is designed to solve the problem of minimizing the energy consumption. Crucially, this research integrates the concept of symmetry into the typical DAG structure of MSCC tasks, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of task execution in ITS. The simulation results show that ST-HO reduces energy consumption by at least 5.58% compared to the conventional algorithm. In this paper, an autonomous driving lateral control algorithm is introduced for bus rapid transit (BRT, with an articulated bus). The control algorithm includes an integration of model predictive control (MPC) for lateral control and PID control algorithms for longitudinal control considering the vehicle properties. To verify the algorithm in real-time, a model-in-the-loop system was developed using TruckSim in NI Veristand and Matlab/Simulink in Micro-AutoBox. In TruckSim, a BRT plant model was verified using vehicle tests and then applied. In addition, GPS data from a BRT route were acquired from the vehicle test and applied to a TruckSim scenario. In the Matlab/Simulink, the autonomous driving lateral control algorithm for MPC was developed. To communicate between the plant model and the control algorithm in real-time, a controller area network (CAN) protocol was defined and applied like a real vehicle. Therefore, a real-time verification environment was prepared to test the real-time autonomous driving lateral control algorithm for BRT. By using the verification environment, the control algorithm was verified using the ISO-11270 standard. Although many efforts have been made to develop an autonomous driving control algorithm, autonomous driving of BRT is expected more tangible because the BRT has its own lane and speed limitation. Aiming at the shortcomings of Chimp optimization algorithm (ChOA), which is easy to fall into local optimal value and imbalance between global exploration ability and local exploitation ability. To improve ChOA from the perspective of multi-strategy mixing, MSChimp was proposed, and the algorithm was applied to global optimization and minimum spanning tree problems. The main research work of this paper is as follows: (1) In the initialization stage of ChOA, an opposition-based learning strategy was introduced to improve the population diversity; Sine Cosine Algorithm (SCA) was introduced in the exploitation process to improve the convergence speed and accuracy of the algorithm in the later stage, so as to balance the exploration and exploitation capabilities of the algorithm. (2) The improved algorithm was compared with different types of meta-heuristic algorithms in 20 benchmark functions and CEC 2019 test sets, and was used to solve the minimum spanning tree. The experimental results show that the improved ChOA has significantly improved the ability to find the optimal value, which verifies the effectiveness and feasibility of MSChimp. Clustering is a technique used to partition a dataset into groups of similar elements. In addition to traditional clustering methods, clustering for probability density functions (CDF) has been studied to capture data uncertainty. In CDF, automatic clustering is a clever technique that can determine the number of clusters automatically. However, current automatic clustering algorithms update the new probability density function (pdf) fi(t)$$ {f}_i(t) $$ based on the weighted mean of all previous pdfs fj(t−1),j=1,2,...,N$$ {f}_j\left(t-1\right),j=1,2,\dots, N $$, resulting in slow convergence. This paper proposes an efficient automatic clustering algorithm for pdfs. In the proposed approach, the update of fi(t)$$ {f}_i(t) $$ is based on the weighted mean of f1(t),f2(t),...,fi−1(t),fi(t−1),fi+1(t−1),...,fN(t−1)$$ \left\{{f}_1(t),{f}_2(t),\dots, {f}_{i-1}(t),{f}_i\left(t-1\right),{f}_{i+1}\left(t-1\right),\dots, {f}_N\left(t-1\right)\right\} $$, where N$$ N $$ is the number of pdfs and i=1,2,...,N$$ i=1,2,\dots, N $$. This technique allows for the incorporation of recently updated pdfs, leading to faster convergence. This paper also pioneers the applications of certain CDF algorithms in the field of surface image recognition. The numerical examples demonstrate that the proposed method can result in a rapid convergence at some early iterations. It also outperforms other state‐of‐the‐art automatic clustering methods in terms of the Adjusted Rand Index and the Normalized Mutual Information. This letter identifies a fundamental mistake in the published paper titled "A projective general linear group-based algorithm for the construction of substitution box for block ciphers." The projective general linear group-based algorithm is designed to provide high nonlinearity, low differential uniformity, and good resistance against linear and differential attacks. The projective general linear group-based algorithm uses the linear fractional transformation defined over finite field GF 2 8 . The authors of the paper claimed that the irreducible polynomial of degree 8 is used for the construction of a finite field GF 2 8 . We have observed that the projective general linear group-based algorithm uses a reducible polynomial of degree 8. Thus, the inverse of each element does not exist in the finite field GF 2 8 . This paper aims to propose a table tennis target detection (TD) method based on deep learning (DL) and multi-scale feature fusion (MFF) to improve the detection accuracy of the ball in table tennis competition, optimize the training process of athletes, and improve the technical level. In this paper, DL technology is used to improve the accuracy of table tennis TD through MFF guidance. Initially, based on the FAST Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (FAST R-CNN), the TD is carried out in the table tennis match. Then, through the method of MFF guidance, different levels of feature information are fused, which improves the accuracy of TD. Through the experimental verification on the test set, it is found that the mean Average Precision (mAP) value of the target detection algorithm (TDA) proposed here reaches 87.3%, which is obviously superior to other TDAs and has higher robustness. The paper aims at creating a bridge between media and migration studies and critical algorithm studies. By adopting a media ecological approach and a mutual shaping of technology and society perspective, in this paper, we explore the factors that lead, especially in Italy, to discriminant and stigmatizing image search results, related to specific groups of immigrants living in the country. We performed a content analysis of Google-Images search results with regard to the largest immigrant communities hosted in France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Results show that the depiction of Romanian, Albanian, Moroccan, and Algerian immigrant communities on Google.it is flattened on a univocal stigmatized representation that shows them as criminals, which is not the case in other countries. This paper introduces N-bipolar hypersoft (N-BHS) sets, a versatile extension of bipolar hypersoft (BHS) sets designed to effectively manage evaluations encompassing both binary and non-binary data, thereby exhibiting heightened versatility. The major contributions of this framework are twofold: Firstly, the N-BHS set introduces a parameterized representation of the universe, providing a nuanced and finite granularity in perceiving attributes, thereby distinguishing itself from conventional binary BHS sets and continuous fuzzy BHS sets. Secondly, this model signifies a new area of research aimed at overcoming limitations inherent in the N-bipolar soft set when handling multi-argument approximate functions. Through the strategic partitioning of attributes into distinct subattribute values using disjoint sets, the N-BHS set emerges as a powerful tool for effectively addressing uncertainty-related problems. In pursuit of these objectives, the paper outlines various algebraic definitions, including incomplete N-BHS sets, efficient N-BHS sets, normalized N-BHS sets, equivalence under normalization, N-BHS complements, and BHS sets derived from a threshold, exemplified through illustrative examples. Additionally, the article explores set-theoretic operations within the N-BHS sets framework, such as relative null/whole N-BHS sets, N-BHS subsets, and two distinct approaches to N-BHS extended/restricted union and intersection. This paper addresses the resource allocation (RA) for ultra‐dense network (UDN), where base stations (BSs) are densely deployed to meet the demands of future wireless communications. However, the design of RA in UDN is challenging, as the RA problem is non‐convex and NP‐hard. Therefore, this paper considers and studies a semi‐distributed resource block (RB) allocation scheme, in order to achieve a well‐balanced trade‐off between performance and complexity. In the context of semi‐distributed RB allocation scheme, the problem can be decomposed into the subproblem of clustering and the subproblem of cluster‐based RB allocation. We first improve the K‐means clustering algorithm by employing the Gaussian modified method, which can significantly decrease the number of iterations for carrying out the K‐means algorithm as well as the failure possibility of clustering. Then, bat algorithm (BA) is introduced to attack the problem of cluster‐based RB allocation. In order to make the original BA applicable to the problem of RB allocation, chaotic sequences are adopted to discretize the initial position of the bats, and simultaneously increase the population diversity of the bats. Furthermore, in order to speed up the convergence of BA, the logarithmic decreasing inertia weight is employed for improving the original BA. This paper presents an improved arithmetic optimization algorithm that incorporates hybrid elite pool strategies to address the limitations of the arithmetic optimization algorithm (AOA). In AOA, the linear mathematical optimization acceleration (MOA) function cannot balance global exploitation and local exploration well. Therefore, the accuracy and convergence speed of the algorithm cannot be guaranteed. To improve the performance of AOA, this paper reconstructed a nonlinear MOA function, which is expected to balance the exploitation and the exploration of AOA. Furthermore, four hybrid elite pool strategies are integrated to enhance the ability to escape local optima. The proposed algorithm inherits the fast convergence of AOA and develops the performance of escaping local optima. Numerical experiment results on benchmark functions and engineering problems show that the proposed algorithm outperforms other compared meta-heuristic algorithms in terms of convergence speed and accuracy. With the rapid development of AI and big data mining technologies, computerized medical decision-making has become increasingly prominent. The aim of high-utility pattern mining (HUPM) is to discover meaningful patterns in medical databases that contribute to maximizing the utility from the perspective of diagnosis. However, HUPM pays less attention to the interpretability and explainability of these patterns in medical decision-making scenarios. This paper proposes a novel algorithm called the Improved fuzzy high-utility pattern mining (IF-HUPM) to address this problem. First, the paper applies a fuzzy preprocessing method to divide the fuzzy intervals of a medical quantitative data set, which enhances the fuzziness and interpretability of the data. Next, in the process of IF-HUPM, both fuzzy tree and list structures are employed to calculate fuzzy high-utility values. By combining the characteristics of the one-stage and two-stage algorithms of HUPM, an adaptive-phase Fuzzy HUPM hybrid frame is proposed. Purpose: Hexahedral meshing is one of the most important steps in performing an accurate simulation using the finite element analysis (FEA). However, the current hexahedral meshing method in the industry is a nonautomatic and inefficient method, i.e. manually decomposing the model into suitable blocks and obtaining the hexahedral mesh from these blocks by mapping or sweeping algorithms. The purpose of this paper is to propose an almost automatic decomposition algorithm based on the 3D frame field and model features to replace the traditional time-consuming and laborious manual decomposition method. Design/methodology/approach: The proposed algorithm is based on the 3D frame field and features, where features are used to construct feature-cutting surfaces and the 3D frame field is used to construct singular-cutting surfaces. The feature-cutting surfaces constructed from concave features first reduce the complexity of the model and decompose it into some coarse blocks. Then, an improved 3D frame field algorithm is performed on these coarse blocks to extract the singular structure and construct singular-cutting surfaces to further decompose the coarse blocks. In most modeling examples, the proposed algorithm uses both types of cutting surfaces to decompose models fully automatically. In a few examples with special requirements for hexahedral meshes, the algorithm requires manual input of some user-defined cutting surfaces and constructs different singular-cutting surfaces to ensure the effectiveness of the decomposition. Findings: Benefiting from the feature decomposition and the 3D frame field algorithm, the output blocks of the proposed algorithm have no inner singular structure and are suitable for the mapping or sweeping algorithm. The introduction of internal constraints makes 3D frame field generation more robust in this paper, and it can automatically correct some invalid 3–5 singular structures. In a few examples with special requirements, the proposed algorithm successfully generates valid blocks even though the singular structure of the model is modified by user-defined cutting surfaces. Originality/value: The proposed algorithm takes the advantage of feature decomposition and the 3D frame field to generate suitable blocks for a mapping or sweeping algorithm, which saves a lot of simulation time and requires less experience. Summary: This paper proposes leaky least mean fourth (LLMF) algorithm for the control of five‐level series connected H‐bridge multilevel inverter (5L SCHB‐MLI). The SCHB multilevel inverter is a popular configuration due to its wide application for high‐power and medium‐voltage applications. The complete system comprising the grid, load, and compensator is modeled in MATLAB/SIMULINK. Prototype hardware is also developed in the laboratory for experimental validation. The 5L SCHB inverter is connected in a single‐phase power distribution system and controlled as a compensator. The voltage across both DC links of the H‐bridges is regulated to almost equal value by the proposed control algorithm. The closed loop system is designed to mitigate total harmonic distortion (THD) in the source current and improve the power quality of the proposed system. The system is analyzed under the steady state and dynamic state, and the results are also verified on the hardware prototype developed in the laboratory. In this paper, an asymmetric scheme based on double image using phase retrieval algorithms in gyrator domain is reported. The double images are encrypted using QZ synthesis method based on QZ algorithm. The synthesized image is bonded with a random phase mask and undergoes a gyrator transform. The resultant image act as an input for the phase retrieval algorithm. We have tested the scheme with five different phase retrieval algorithms, namely the Gerchberg-Saxton algorithm, modified Gerchberg-Saxton algorithm, input–output algorithm, Yang-Gu mixture amplitude-phase retrieval algorithm, and improved amplitude-phase retrieval algorithm. Simulations are executed to show the performance, feasibility, and robustness of the scheme. The gyrator parameter and private keys are highly sensitive to a small change to their original value. Performance of different phase retrieval algorithms on the scheme is evaluated using multi-attribute decision-making tool: TOPSIS method. Results suggest that the Yang-Gu mixture amplitude-phase retrieval algorithm performs better among phase retrieval algorithms and has ranked 1 in TOPSIS analysis. A reasonable method for estimating alighting stops can provide a data guarantee for schedule design and vehicle scheduling. However, few studies, to our best knowledge, have addressed this problem using the variable distance threshold for different types of passengers. This paper is based on available smart card data, and a two-stage algorithm is designed to obtain missing alighting stations in the entry-only urban public transportation system. This algorithm divides passengers into seven types, determines varying distance thresholds for different passengers, and includes five assumptions. Based on the first three assumptions, the corresponding subalgorithms are designed, respectively, constituting the first-stage algorithm, and the first match for all passengers' alighting stations is carried out. The second-stage algorithm is designed on the basis of the latter two assumptions. A secondary match is conducted on data that were not successfully matched in the first stage to ensure that alighting stops for all passengers are identified. The proposed methods are verified using urban public transport data from the city of Zhuhai as an example. Research results show that the drop-off stops where approximately 74% of passengers can be determined after matching the first-stage algorithm. The distance thresholds for various passengers are different, and the distance thresholds for the same type of passengers over different days are also different. Compared with the traditional fixed distance threshold, the variable distance threshold for various passengers proposed in this paper can improve the match rate of alighting station estimate, about 9%. By appropriately extending the distance thresholds for different passengers, the match rate for passengers who work or live in the suburbs can be further improved, which is in line with the actual travel status of such passengers. The second-stage algorithm can identify alighting sites for a single or unlinked trip. TANGRAM block cipher algorithm employs a bit-slice approach and is compatible with multiple software and hardware platforms. In response to TANGRAM-128/128 algorithm, this paper proposed a design plan which used Verilog HDL for FPGA implementation. This paper firstly provided an introduction to the characteristics and processed of TANGRAM algorithm and presented a scheme for reducing resource consumption using a finite-state machine for 44 rounds of encryption and decryption computation. Secondly, the engineering implementation of the FPGA algorithm was completed by the domestic Gaoyun platform and subjected to functional simulation and data correctness validation. Furthermore, relevant tests were performed on Quartus II 13.1.0 platform for comparison. Test results show that, based on Cyclone IV E EP4CE40F29C6 chip from Altera, TANGRAM block cipher algorithm has a maximum clock frequency of 138. 64 MHz and an encryption/decryption speed of 403.30 Mbps. In this paper, we proposed classification and clustering algorithms that are proper for analyzing customer-related datasets, which are mostly high-dimensional with too many instances. For the clustering purpose, This paper presents a Cuckoo-Search-based Variable Weighting (CSVW) Clustering algorithm to obtain optimal variable weights of high-dimensional data for each cluster. This paper also proposes a deep Inferarer Classifier for categorizing customers using Bi-Directional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) neural network, which uses a Fuzzy Inferential Classifier on its last layer. The Internet of Things (IoT) is constantly evolving. The variety of IoT applications has caused new demands to emerge on users' part and competition between computing service providers. On the one hand, an IoT application may exhibit several important criteria, such as deadline and runtime simultaneously, and it is confronted with resource limitations and high energy consumption on the other hand. This has turned to adopting a computing environment and scheduling as a fundamental challenge. To resolve the issue, IoT applications are considered in this paper as a workflow composed of a series of interdependent tasks. The tasks in the same workflow (at the same level) are subject to priorities and deadlines for execution, making the problem far more complex and closer to the real world. In this paper, a hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization and Simulated Annealing algorithm (PSO–SA) is used for prioritizing tasks and improving fitness function. Our proposed method managed the task allocation and optimized energy consumption and makespan at the fog-cloud environment nodes. Excellent precolorings are easier to handle than general ones, and, in addition, in order to determine whether the initial precoloring can be extended to the whole graph, it is enough to answer the same question for each of the excellent precolorings in the collection. Emotion detection and Sentiment analysis techniques are used to understand polarity or emotions expressed by people in many cases, especially during interactive systems use. Recognizing users' emotions is an important topic for human–computer interaction. Computers that recognize emotions would provide more natural interactions. Also, emotion detection helps design human-centred systems that provide adaptable behaviour change interventions based on users' emotions. The growing capability of machine learning to analyze big data and extract emotions therein has led to a surge in research in this domain. With this increased attention, it becomes essential to investigate this research area and provide a comprehensive review of the current state. In this paper, we conduct a systematic review of 123 papers on machine learning-based emotion detection to investigate research trends along many themes, including machine learning approaches, application domain, data, evaluation, and outcome. The results demonstrate: 1) increasing interest in this domain, 2) supervised machine learning (namely, SVM and Naïve Bayes) are the most popular algorithms, 3) Text datasets in the English language are the most common data source, and 4) most research use Accuracy to evaluate performance. Aiming at the problems of low accuracy, false detection, missed detection, and low real-time detection of current traffic sign detection, this paper proposes an improved traffic sign detection algorithm based on the YOLOv8s algorithm. Firstly, this paper proposes a double-layer semicomposite backbone network structure (DSCB), which uses the auxiliary backbone network to extract features, and then transmits the extracted features to the backbone network to enhance the ability of the backbone network to extract target features. At the same time, the deformable convolution is integrated into the DC2f structure of the auxiliary backbone network to enhance the generalization performance of the network. Secondly, the coordinate attention mechanism is used after the SPPF layer. The coordinate attention mechanism can better retain the coordinate position information of small targets, reduce the miss rate of the model, and increase detection accuracy. Finally, this paper introduces a new CAB module to learn and aggregate the output of each layer of the feature pyramid for global spatial context to enhance the feature representation ability further. The experimental results show that the improved algorithm achieves 90.51% detection accuracy, 82.00% recall rate, 89.51% mAP@0.5 on the TT100K dataset, and the FPS reaches 106. Compared with the original algorithm model, the detection accuracy is increased by 2.27%, and the recall rate is increased by 2.48%. mAP@0.5 is increased by 2.01%, and FPS is increased by 1. Deep learning is proliferating within the field of computer vision. Road damage detection technology, as its offshoot, already plays vital role in road maintenance and traffic safety. With road damage such as potholes and cracks, accurate and efficient detection results are essential for timely road safety repair and maintenance. Therefore, road damage detection algorithms based on deep learning have attracted wide attention. YOLOv5 is an advanced target detection algorithm known for its efficient detection speed and good accuracy. However, there is still room for further improvement in its performance for road damage detection. The ability of multi-scale damage detection and spatial structure capture is not perfect. Therefore, this paper proposes three improvement points to improve the accuracy of road damage detection based on YOLOv5. The first introduced module is the Non-linear Spatial Pyramidal Pooling-Fast (NSPPF) module. This module allows for better capture of detailed features of road damage areas. Non-linear transformation and fast pyramid operation improve the sensing ability and multi-scale damage detection ability. Secondly, a combination of the CoordConv and SK attention modules is constructed. The CoordConv module fuses coordinate information with features to provide a more spatially informed representation. The SK attention module also learns correlations between global and local features, enhancing the model's ability to detect damages at different scales. This paper can better capture road injuries' spatial structure and context information by combining these two modules. Finally, experimental results on the RDD2020 dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of our model. With the rapid development of remote sensing technology, remote sensing products have found increasingly widespread applications across various fields. Nevertheless, as the volume of remote sensing image data continues to grow, traditional data retrieval techniques have encountered several challenges such as substantial query results, data overlap, and variations in data quality. Users need to manually browse and filter a large number of remote sensing datasets, which is a cumbersome and inefficient process. In order to cope with these problems of traditional remote sensing image retrieval methods, this paper proposes a remote sensing image retrieval algorithm for dense data (DD-RSIRA). The algorithm establishes evaluation metrics based on factors like imaging time, cloud coverage, and image coverage. The algorithm utilizes the global grids to create an ensemble coverage relation between images and grids. A locally optimal initial solution is obtained by a greedy algorithm, and then a local search is performed to search for the optimal solution by combining the strategies of weighted gain-loss scheme and novel mechanism. Ultimately, it achieves an optimal coverage of remote sensing images within the region of interest. In this paper, it is shown that the method obtains a smaller number of datasets with lower redundancy and higher data utilization and ensures the data quality to a certain extent in order to accurately meet the requirements of the regional coverage of remote sensing images. The implicit trace estimation problem asks for an approximation of the trace of a square matrix, accessed via matrix-vector products (matvecs). This paper designs new randomized algorithms, XTrace and XNysTrace, for the trace estimation problem by exploiting both variance reduction and the exchangeability principle. For a fixed budget of matvecs, numerical experiments show that the new methods can achieve errors that are orders of magnitude smaller than existing algorithms, such as the Girard--Hutchinson estimator or the Hutch++ estimator. A theoretical analysis confirms the benefits by offering a precise description of the performance of these algorithms as a function of the spectrum of the input matrix. This paper presents a new type of monorail rapid transit vehicle, which can operate in formation. In order to optimize the dynamic performance of the formation vehicles when passing through the small radius curve, this paper first analyzes the structure of the new monorail rapid transit vehicle, and establishes the vehicle dynamic model and multibody dynamics simulation model. Then the improved artificial potential field algorithm is used to build the formation vehicle operation controller. Finally, the dynamic performance evaluation index of the new monorail rapid transit formation vehicle is formulated, and the formation vehicle passing through the small radius curve scene is simulated. The simulation results show that the controller of the formation vehicle with dynamic optimization control can effectively optimize the load transfer coefficient of running wheels, unbalanced centrifugal acceleration and roll angle of vehicle body when passing through the curve. Swarm intelligence optimization algorithm has been proved to perform well in the field of parameter optimization. In order to further improve the performance of intelligent optimization algorithm, this paper proposes an improved and adaptive tunicate swarm algorithm (IMATSA) based on tunicate swarm algorithm (TSA). IMATSA improves TSA in the following four aspects: population diversity, local search convergence speed, jumping out of local optimal position, and balancing global and local search. Firstly, IMATSA adopts Tent map and quadratic interpolation to initialize population and enhance the diversity. Secondly, IMATSA uses Golden-Sine algorithm to accelerate the convergence of local search. Thirdly, in the process of global development, IMATSA adopts Levy flight and the improved Gauss disturbance method to adaptively improves and coordinates the ability of global development and local search. Then, this paper verifies the performance of IMATSA based on 14 benchmark functions experiment, ablation experiment, parameter optimization experiments of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Gradient Boosting Decision Tree (GBDT), Wilcoxon signed rank test and image multi-threshold segmentation experiment with the performance metrics are convergence speed, convergence value, significance level P-value, Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Standard Deviation (STD). Conventional wireless sensors have difficulty solving the problem of energy limitation, especially in sensor networks in hard-to-reach extreme areas. In addition, to address the unknown and random nature of energy arrival, this paper proposes a CLSTM model based on deep learning to predict the energy arrival. Siamese trackers based on classification and regression have drawn extensive attention due to their appropriate balance between accuracy and efficiency. However, most of them are prone to failure in the face of abrupt motion or appearance changes. This paper proposes a Siamese-based tracker that incorporates spatial-semantic-aware attention and flexible spatiotemporal constraint. First, we develop a spatial-semantic-aware attention model, which identifies the importance of each feature region and channel to target representation through the single convolution attention network with a loss function and increases the corresponding weights in the spatial and channel dimensions to reinforce the target region and semantic information on the target feature map. Secondly, considering that the traditional method unreasonably weights the target response in abrupt motion, we design a flexible spatiotemporal constraint. This constraint adaptively adjusts the constraint weights on the response map by evaluating the tracking result. Finally, we propose a new template updating the strategy. This strategy adaptively adjusts the contribution weights of the tracking result to the new template using depth correlation assessment criteria, thereby enhancing the reliability of the template. The Siamese network used in this paper is a symmetric neural network with dual input branches sharing weights. In the first part of this paper we develop a theory for image restoration with a learned regularizer that is analogous to that of Meyer's geometric characterization of solutions of the classical variational method of Rudin-Osher-Fatemi (ROF). The learned regularizer we use is a Kantorovich potential for an optimal transport problem of mapping a distribution of noisy images onto clean ones, as first proposed by Lunz, \" Oktem, and Sch\"onlieb. We show that the effect of their restoration method on the distribution of the images is an explicit Euler discretization of a gradient flow on probability space, while our variational problem, dubbed Wasserstein ROF (WROF), is the corresponding implicit Euler discretization. We obtain our geometric characterization of the solution in this learned regularizer setting by first proving a much more general convex analysis theorem for variational problems having solutions characterized by projections. We then use optimal transport arguments to obtain the corresponding theorem for WROF from this general result, as well as a natural decomposition of a transport map into large scale "features" and small scale "details," where scale refers to the magnitude of the transport distance. In the second part of the paper we leverage our theory for restoration with learned regularizers to analyze two algorithms which iterate WROF. We refer to these as iterative regularization and multiscale transport. For the former we obtain a proof of convergence to the clean data. For the latter we produce successive approximations to the target distribution that match it up to finer and finer scales. These two algorithms are in complete analogy to well-known effective methods based on ROF for iterative denoising, respectively hierarchical image decomposition. We also obtain an analogue of the Tadmor-Nezzar-Vese energy identity, which decomposes the Wasserstein 2 distance between two measures into a sum of nonnegative terms that correspond to transport costs at different scales. The traditional infrared inspection of substations is usually done by employees with handheld infrared equipment, but the traditional inspection efficiency is not high, and some of the inspection locations have harsh environments, high voltage levels, and high‐risk factors. Given the above problems, this paper proposes an improved defect detection algorithm for substations based on YOLO v7 to solve the difficult problem of infrared inspection of substations. First, the lighter SE‐GhostNetV2 feature extraction network is designed to reduce the computation volume; second, the de‐weighted BIFPN structure is designed for the substation infrared image features to improve the ability of information interaction; finally, the new C‐NWD Loss is proposed to realize the detection of smaller substation equipment and reducing missed detections. The experimental results show that the hybrid accuracy of the algorithm designed in this paper is improved from 92.1% to 96.6%, the model parameters are reduced by 40.1%, the computation amount is reduced by 65%, the detection speed is improved by 87 FPS, and the false detection and missed detections is less, which can achieve real‐time infrared inspection of substations and solve the difficulties existing in traditional substation infrared detection. In process discovery, the goal is to find, for a given event log, the model describing the underlying process. While process models can be represented in a variety of ways, Petri nets form a theoretically well-explored description language and are therefore often used. In this paper, we extend the eST-Miner process discovery algorithm. The eST-Miner computes a set of Petri net places which are considered to be fitting with respect to a certain fraction of the behavior described by the given event log as indicated by a given noise threshold. It evaluates all possible candidate places using token-based replay. The set of replayable traces is determined for each place in isolation, i.e., these sets do not need to be consistent. This allows the algorithm to abstract from infrequent behavioral patterns occurring only in some traces. However, when combining places into a Petri net by connecting them to the corresponding uniquely labeled transitions, the resulting net can replay exactly those traces from the event log that are allowed by the combination of all inserted places. Thus, inserting places one-by-one without considering their combined effect may result in deadlocks and low fitness of the Petri net. In this paper, we explore adaptions of the eST-Miner, that aim to select a subset of places such that the resulting Petri net guarantees a definable minimal fitness while maintaining high precision with respect to the input event log. Furthermore, current place evaluation techniques tend to block the execution of infrequent activity labels. Thus, a refined place fitness metric is introduced and thoroughly investigated. In our experiments we use real and artificial event logs to evaluate and compare the impact of the various place selection strategies and place fitness evaluation metrics on the returned Petri net. Singular value decomposition plays a prominent role in the theoretical study and numerical calculation of a quaternion matrix in applied sciences. This paper, by means of a complex representation of a quaternion matrix, studies the algorithm for the singular value decomposition of a quaternion matrix, and derives a complex structure-preserving algorithm for the singular value decomposition of a quaternion matrix. With the rapid development of wireless communication networks and Internet of Things technology (IoT), higher requirements have been put forward for spectrum resource utilization and system performance. In order to further improve the utilization of spectrum resources and system performance, this paper proposes an intelligent reflecting surface (IRS)-assisted fair energy allocation algorithm for cognitive multiple-input single-output (MISO) wireless-powered networks. The goal of this paper is to maximize the minimum energy receiving power in the energy receiver, which is constrained by the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) threshold of the information receiver in the secondary network, the maximum transmission power at the cognitive base station (CBS), and the interference power threshold of the secondary network on the main network. Due to the coupling between variables, this paper uses iterative optimization algorithms to optimize and solve different variables. That is, when solving the active beamforming variables, the passive beamforming variables are fixed; then, the obtained active beamforming variables are fixed, and the passive beamforming variables are solved. In this paper, I present contextualizing factors, dimensions, and key markers of algorithm literacies, paying attention to the context of parenting and parenthood amidst datafication. Analyzing data from "think-aloud" interviews with 30 parents of children aged between 0 and 18, across England, I draw upon media and digital literacies scholarship to focus, first, in this paper, on the competencies, conversations, and events which contextualize parents' literacies with algorithmic interfaces. Next, I draw out four dimensions of parents' algorithm literacies including algorithm awareness, technical competencies, critical capacities, and championing their and their children's best interests, identifying practical markers for each dimension. I reflect on the broader implications of these for parenting and parenthood in datafied societies, and note that algorithm literacies are, forever, a work in progress, in fluidity and flux across the diverse courses of parenting journeys, deeply contextualized in the resources and restraints that parents encounter in their daily lives. This paper aims to build a machine learning and a neural network model to detect the probability of money laundering in banks. The paper's data came from a simulation of actual transactions flagged for money laundering in Middle Eastern banks. The main findings highlight that criminal networks mainly use the integration stage to integrate money into the financial system. Fraudsters prefer to launder funds in the early hours, morning followed by the business day's afternoon time intervals. Additionally, the Naïve Bayes and Random Forest classifiers were identified as the two best-performing models to predict bank money laundering transactions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
