The micro-discharge effect limits the development of high-frequency microwave power components to miniaturization and integration. Therefore, it has become a focus of research to effectively suppress the micro-discharge effect, increase the micro-discharge threshold, and strengthen the environmental stability of high-frequency microwave devices. In this study, different elemental ratios of carbon (C)/silver (Ag)/titanium (Ti) composite films were obtained by multi-target magnetron co-sputtering technology and then systematically analyzed for micro-discharge effects. When the doping ratio of C/Ag/Ti was 3.538/1/0.013, the corresponding maximum secondary electron emission coefficient (δmax) decreased to 1.01 owing to the suppression of secondary electron emission by the increase in the content of sp2 hybrid bond. The micro-discharge threshold of Ku band waveguide filters coated with moderate C/Ag/Ti composite films showed an optimal performance of 10 000−12 500 W, which was increased by approximately 20 times. Moreover, the microstructure of the composite films exhibited higher density and flatness with a tiny increase in the titanium doping ratio, representing good environmental stability. Thus, the effective suppression of the secondary electron emission yield, significant improvement in the micro-discharge threshold, and enhancement of the environment stability of microwave components could be realized simultaneously by reasonably controlling the content of titanium in silver and titanium co-doped carbon-based composite films. Fine-grained 3D shape recognition (FGSR) is crucial for real-world applications. Existing methods face challenges in achieving high accuracy for FGSR due to high similarity within sub-categories and low dissimilarity between them, especially in the absence of part location or attribute annotations. In this paper, we propose V 2 MLP, a multi-view representation-oriented MLP network dedicated to FGSR, using only class labels as supervision. V 2 MLP comprises two key modules: the cross-view interaction MLP (CVI-MLP) and the cross-view fusion MLP (CVF-MLP). The CVI-MLP module captures contextual information, including local and global contexts through cross-view interactions, to extract discriminative view features that reinforce subtle differences between sub-categories. Meanwhile, the CVF-MLP module performs cross-view aggregation from space and view dimensions to obtain the final 3D shape features, minimizing information loss during the view feature fusion process. Extensive experiments on three categories from the FG3D dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of V 2 MLP in learning discriminative features for 3D shapes, achieving state-of-the-art accuracy for FGSR. Halophyte shrubs, prevalent in arid regions globally, create saline fertile islands under their canopy. This study investigates the soil microbial communities and their energy utilization strategies associated with tamarisk shrubs in arid ecosystems. Shotgun sequencing revealed that high salinity in tamarisk islands reduces functional gene alpha-diversity and relative abundance compared to bare soils. However, organic matter accumulation within islands fosters key halophilic archaea taxa such as Halalkalicoccus, Halogeometricum, and Natronorubrum, linked to processes like organic carbon oxidation, nitrous oxide reduction, and sulfur oxidation, potentially strengthening the coupling of nutrient cycles. The wind pressure caused by the high-speed passage of intercity railway trains applies a significant load on the platform screen doors, to ensure the safe of the platform screen doors and achieve reasonable design and construction goals, it is necessary to explore the distribution law and mechanism of wind pressure load on the platform screen doors first. Using Fluent software, RNG k-ε turbulence model was selected, and the control equations were discretized by finite volume method, the second-order upwind scheme and center difference scheme were used to solve the convective and diffusive fluxes, the influence of wind pressure load on platform screen doors caused by intercity train passing through stations was studied. The research results indicates: When a train passes through a station at high speed, the increase in the ross-section area of the enclosed area allows the compressed air to dissipate faster, thereby reducing the wind pressure load on the platform screen doors and minimizing the extreme values of the wind pressure load on the doors; Before the train arrives at the platform screen door, the slight change in the retreat distance between the platform screen door and the platform edge has little effect on the extreme wind pressure load of the platform screen door; After the train arrives at the platform screen door, the airflow changes and distribution in the enclosed area become more severe and complex, the increase in cross-section area makes the wind pressure load of the platform screen door more significantly affected by the change in the retreat distance of the platform screen door; The increase in train passing speed will lead to an increase in the extreme wind pressure load on the platform screen doors; During the process of the train passing through the station, the maximum load at each point of the platform screen door decreases overall along the direction of the train's travel, however, as the speed of the train passing through the station increases, the minimum load (suction) near the end of the platform screen door in the direction of the train's travel tends to increase, and this phenomenon becomes more pronounced as the speed increases. Objectives: There is limited understanding of the differences between cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) with and without intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). This article aimed to describe the characteristics of CAA and identify the risk factors of CAA-ICH in a multicenter cohort. Methods: Patients consecutively enrolled in the national multicenter prospective Cerebral Small Vessel Disease Cohort Study who met the Boston diagnostic criteria for CAA or CAA-related inflammation were included in this study. The demographic characteristics and clinical data were collected. The clinical and radiographic differences between CAA with and without ICH were compared to identify the risk factors for CAA-ICH. Results: A total of 219 CAA patients were included, with an average age of 67.12 ± 9.93. Of all patients, 26.0% were CAA with ICH. Univariate analysis showed that CAA-ICH is associated with carrying more APOE ε2 allele, less lobar cerebral microbleeds (CMBs), cortical superficial siderosis (cSS), lower Fazekas scale, a tendency of gait disorder, and acute onset (P < 0.05). The generalized linear mixed model yielded statistically significant associations between CAA with ICH and carrying the APOE ε2 allele, cSS, the lower number of lobar CMBs, and the lower Fazekas scale (P < 0.05). Conclusion: It is meaningful to classify CAA with and without ICH, as there may be different mechanisms between the two. CAA with ICH has a susceptibility to carrying APOE ε2, cSS, and a relatively small number of CMBs. Fewer CMBs do not mean lower susceptibility to ICH in CAA. Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is a formidable cancer to treat due to the lack of effective drugs that can also efficiently cross the blood–brain barrier (BBB). Herein, a novel strategy involving the synthesis of p28 peptide‐conjugated, lexiscan (LEX)‐loaded, bardoxolone methyl (BM) self‐assembled nanoparticles, designated as p28‐LBM NPs, is introduced. These NPs are designed to overcome the dual challenges of effectively killing GBM cells and efficiently penetrating the brain. The p28 peptide is chosen for targeted delivery to brain tumors, and LEX is employed to enhance drug penetration across the BBB. The successful penetration of brain tumors by the p28‐LBM NPs after intravenous administration is demonstrated, with BM delivered as part of the NPs significantly inhibiting GBM tumor growth and extending the survival of mice with tumors. Background: Stiff skin syndrome (SSS) is a rare disease characterized by thickened, indurated skin and limited joint movement. Multiple diverse phenotypes have been reported, and the correlation of severity with the clinical heterogeneity and histopathological findings of SSS needs to be refined. Objective: To define subtypes based on clinical features and predict the prognosis of a new SSS classification. Methods: Eighty-three patients with SSS were retrospectively reviewed for clinicopathological manifestations and routine laboratory workup, including 59 cases obtained from a PubMed search between 1971 and 2022 and 24 cases diagnosed in our department between 2003 and 2022. Results: Among the 83 patients, 27.7, 41, and 31.3% had classic widespread, generalized segmental, and localized SSS, respectively. Joint immobility was present in 100, 71, and 20% of classic, generalized, and localized cases, respectively. Histopathologic findings were common among the 3 groups, and based on that, we further found a difference in the distribution of proliferative collagen. 54.5% of classic and 50% of generalized cases occurred throughout the dermis or the subcutis, whereas 76% of localized cases were mainly involved in the reticular dermis or subcutis. In patients with incipient localized SSS, 42% (21/50) developed generalized SSS, and only 6% (3/50) progressed to classic SSS, whereas more than half of the incipient generalized SSS cases (60.6%, 20/33) developed classic SSS. Limitations: This retrospective study was limited to previously published cases with limited data. Conclusions: We propose a distinct clinical classification characterized by lesion distribution, including classic widespread, generalized segmental, and localized SSS, associated with disease severity and prognosis. Utilizing current-induced spin–orbit torque (SOT) to control magnetization is essential for the advancement of spintronics. SOT offers high energy efficiency and rapid operation speed. The ideal SOT material should have a high charge-to-spin conversion efficiency and excellent electrical conductivity. Recently, there has been a focus on topological insulator materials with topological surface states in SOT research due to their controllability in spin–orbit coupling, conductivity, and energy band topology. While topological Dirac semimetallic materials show promise for SOT applications, research on voltage regulation of their spin Hall angle is still in its early stages. This paper investigates the multilayer structure of a Dirac semimetallic material. In an α-Sn/Ag bilayer, the voltage regulation effect can increase the spin Hall angle by five times by adjusting the strain on the Fermi level. Experiments explore the role of a silver layer as a transport layer in the electric field control of multilayer films. The epigenetic regulation of N6-methyladenosine (m6A) has attracted considerable interest in tumor research, but the potential roles of m6A regulator-related genes, remain largely unknown within the context of gastric cancer (GC) and tumor microenvironment (TME). Here, a comprehensive strategy of data mining and computational biology utilizing multiple datasets based on 28 m6A regulators (including novel anti-readers) was employed to identify m6A regulator-related genes and patterns and elucidate their underlying mechanisms in GC. Subsequently, a scoring system was constructed to evaluate individual prognosis and immunotherapy response. Three distinct m6A regulator-related patterns were identified through the unsupervised clustering of 56 m6A regulator-related genes (all significantly associated with GC prognosis). TME characterization revealed that these patterns highly corresponded to immune-inflamed, immune-excluded, and immune-desert phenotypes, and their TME characteristics were highly consistent with different clinical outcomes and biological processes. Additionally, an m6A-related scoring system was developed to quantify the m6A modification pattern of individual samples. Low scores indicated high survival rates and high levels of immune activation, whereas high scores indicated stromal activation and tumor malignancy. Furthermore, the m6A-related scores were correlated with tumor mutation loads and various clinical traits, including molecular or histological subtypes and clinical stage or grade, and the score had predictive values across all digestive system tumors and even in all tumor types. Notably, a low score was linked to improved responses to anti-PD-1/L1 and anti-CTLA4 immunotherapy in three independent cohorts. This study has expanded the important role of m6A regulator-related genes in shaping TME diversity and clinical/biological traits of GC. Purpose: The spinal nerve ligation (SNL) model is a typical peripheral neuropathic pain model. During its construction, the removal of paraspinal muscles and transverse processes typically occurs, resulting in additional trauma that may potentially affect the pathophysiologic process of neuropathic pain. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility of establishing a more reliable SNL model using an oblique lateral approach. Methods: 36 adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups: the traditional SNL (T-SNL) group, the new SNL (N-SNL) group (where the left L5 spinal nerve was ligated with a titanium clip via an oblique lateral approach), and the sham-operated (Sham) group. The operation time, Intraoperative bleeding, the number of rats that died, gait behavior, mechanical and cold pain threshold were recorded and measured. Stereology technology was used to calculate the number of microglia in spinal dorsal horn, and the Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technology was used to detect the expression of TNF-α and IL-1β in spinal cord as well as C-reactive protein (CRP) in serum in order to assess the effect of surgery on animal inflammation. Results: Compared with the T-SNL group, operative time and intraoperative bleeding were significantly decreased in the N-SNL group. Within 14 days postoperation, one rat in the N-SNL group was died, two rats in the T-SNL group were died. Compared with the Sham group, the N-SNL group showed obvious spontaneous pain behavior, decreased the pain thresholds, the number of microglia and the expression of TNF-α and IL-1β were significantly increased, and there was no significant difference in these indexes compared with T-SNL group. There was no significant difference in serum CRP levels among the three groups. Background: Adverse drug reactions (ADRs) refer to an unintended harmful reaction that occurs after the administration of a medication for therapeutic purposes, which is unrelated to the intended pharmacological action of the drug. In the United States, ADRs account for 6% of all hospital admissions annually. The cost of ADR-related illnesses in 2016 was estimated at USD 528.4 billion. Increasing the awareness of ADRs is an effective measure to prevent them. Assessing suspected drugs in adverse events helps to enhance the awareness of ADRs. Methods: In this study, a suspect drug assisted judgment model (SDAJM) is designed to identify suspected drugs in adverse events. This framework utilizes the graph isomorphism network (GIN) and an attention mechanism to extract features based on patients' demographic information, drug information, and ADR information. Results: By comparing it with other models, the results of various tests show that this model performs well in predicting the suspected drugs in adverse reaction events. ADR signal detection was conducted on a group of cardiovascular system drugs, and case analyses were performed on two classic drugs, Mexiletine and Captopril, as well as on two classic antithyroid drugs. The results indicate that the model can accomplish the task of predicting drug ADRs. Validation using benchmark datasets from ten drug discovery domains shows that the model is applicable to classification tasks on the Tox21 and SIDER datasets. Conclusions: This study applies deep learning methods to construct the SDAJM model for three purposes: (1) identifying drugs suspected to cause adverse drug events (ADEs), (2) predicting the ADRs of drugs, and (3) other drug discovery tasks. The threshing rate is one of the important indexes to evaluate the effect of corn threshing. The weighing method is often used to calculate the depuration rate of maize at present. This method is time-consuming and laborious and can only calculate the overall threshing rate but does not give the threshing rate of individual corn ears. Different parameters of corn ears have complex effects on the threshing rate. By analyzing the threshing rate of each corn ear, we can choose the appropriate ear treatment method, optimize the processing equipment and process flow, and improve the threshing performance. This paper presents a method based on machine vision to detect the threshing rate of corn ears. In this method, machine vision was used to measure the parameters of the corncob and the area of the top of residual kernels. The area of the top of all kernels was restored based on the parameters of the corncob. The threshing rate of corn ears was calculated by the ratio of the area of the top of the missing kernel to the area of the top of all kernels after threshing. A bivariate linear regression area model was established to restore the area of the top of all corn kernels based on corncob parameters. The R2 was more significant than 0.98, and the goodness of fit was good. The machine vision inspection results showed that the maximum relative error of length and midsection radius was 7.46% and 5.55%, and the mean relative error was 2.58% and 2.23%. The maximum relative error of the corn ear threshing rate was 7.08%, and the mean relative error was 2.04%. When the residual kernels were concentrated in the midsection, the inspection result of the corn ear threshing rate was better. The maximum relative error was 3.98%, and the mean relative error was 1.07%. This paper provides a new idea and reference for measuring the threshing rate of corn ears. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Connections are the most vulnerable parts of a structure under fire conditions. A novel steel connection with high axial and rotational ductility has been proposed with the objective to improve the performance of steel-framed buildings in fire. Analytical model has been developed to determine the axial displacement of the top and bottom flanges of the beam end at high temperatures. A series of sub-frame models with this ductile connection have been built using Abaqus to study the influence of the characteristics of the connection part between the fin-plate part and face-plate part on the overall connection behaviour. The current critical failure mode of the ductile connection is bolt pull-out from the face-plate zone, and the tensile deformation capacity of the connection is not fully utilized. Therefore, measures to improve the bolt pull-out failure mode of the connection have been tested using the Abaqus sub-frame models, including adding a strengthening plate to the face-plate part of the connection and increasing the connection plate thickness. The simulation results show that the bearing failure of the beam web will become another critical failure mode of the connection, once the bolt pull-out failure is eliminated. To further optimize the high-temperature performance of the connection, the Abaqus steel frame models have also been used to test some measures to delay the occurrence of the beam web bearing failure, including adding strengthening plates to the part of the beam web in contact with the connection, and improving the material properties of the part of the beam web around the bolt holes at high temperatures. Understanding soil moisture variability and estimating high‐resolution soil moisture at subfield to field scales is critical for agricultural research and applications. However, systematic investigation of subfield scale soil moisture variability over cropland is still lacking from both measurement and satellite remote sensing. In this study, we aim to investigate (1) the characteristics of within‐field soil moisture distribution over typical cropland in the US Midwest and (2) the capabilities of satellite remote sensing in capturing the spatiotemporal variabilities of soil moisture at subfield scale. Specifically, we conducted soil moisture field experiments in three typical commercial agricultural fields (∼85 acres per field) in central Illinois, representing typical commercial farmlands in the US Midwest, and compared the soil moisture measurements with satellite remote sensing data from optical and active microwave sensors. In each field, dense soil moisture samples (spaced at 50–60 m) were obtained for two dry down events in May and July 2021, and multiple long‐term soil moisture stations were installed. We found prominent time‐invariant spatial structures of soil moisture at within‐field scales both during the dry down period and over longer time scales, and the stability is minimally affected by plant water use during the growing season. Comparing the field campaign measurements with satellite remote sensing data, we found that surface reflectance of shortwave infrared bands, such as SWIR1 (1610 nm) from Sentinel‐2, can capture relative surface soil moisture patterns at within‐field scales, but their relationships with soil moisture are field specific. These findings and the improved understanding of within‐field soil moisture dynamics could potentially help future research on high‐resolution soil moisture estimation with multi‐source remote sensing data. Advancements in wearable electronics and Internet of Things (IoT) sensors have catalyzed the need for effective micro‐energy harvesting. Piezoelectric nanogenerators (PENGs) are ideal due to their high conversion efficiency and durability. However, the contrast between the high piezoelectric coefficients of brittle inorganic ceramics and the lower coefficients of superior flexibility and biocompatibility of organic polymers poses a significant challenge. This work introduces a novel multilayer composite PENG, integrating a single‐crystal BaTiO3 (BTO) film between poly(vinylidene fluoride‐co‐trifluoroethylene) (PVDF‐TrFE) layers. The PVDF‐TrFE/BTO/PVDF‐TrFE PENGs demonstrate substantially improved energy harvesting performance, with outputs reaching up to 15.1 V, 2.39 µA, and power density of 17.33 µW cm−2 during bending deformation. This power density represents a significant increase compared to pure PVDF‐TrFE and nanoparticle BTO‐doped PVDF‐TrFE PENGs. Durability tests show consistent performance, with a stable ∼15.0 V output across 2000 bending cycles. Additionally, when attached to the human body, these PENGs efficiently convert body motions into electrical responses. This work demonstrates a significant enhancement in the performance of PENGs using sandwich‐structured composite of PVDF‐TrFE and freestanding single‐crystal BTO films, showing its potential to address the power requirements of wearable and flexible electronic devices. This paper investigates the tensile behaviors and self-healing of engineered cementitious composite (ECC) under sulfate wet–dry cycles to reflect the durability. Four pretensile strain levels of 0%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2% were designed. The uniaxial tensile test, three-point bending test, and single-crack tensile test were performed, along with the microscopic characterizations of scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results indicated that the sulfate wet–dry cycle exposure had a positive effect on the tensile strength and initial cracking strength of the uncracked ECC, while that was negative on the tensile strain capacity. The insufficient margin of the σoc/σcr and Jb′/Jtip indices explained the lower tensile strain. The tensile strength and initial cracking strength of the cracked ECC with 1% pretensile strain surpassed those of the uncracked ECC after undergoing 80 sulfate wet–dry cycles (80 C), while that did not hold for the other cracked ECCs. All the cracked ECCs showed a similar tensile strain after undergoing 80 C. The crack with a width of less than 100 μm achieved complete self-healing. The self-healing products of ECC under sulfate wet–dry cycle exposure may comprise of calcium (alumino) silicate hydrate [C-(A)-S-H] gel, calcite, ettringite, and gypsum. Background: About 13–25% of cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) cases lack clear etiology, which may be associated with underlying genetic factors. This study aims to investigate genetic factors in CVT patients using whole exome sequencing (WES). Methods: Thirty-eight CVT patients hospitalized underwent WES. 977 subjects with WES data from a community cohort study --the Shunyi cohort were as the control group. Using bioinformatics analysis, differential genes with rare damaging variants between two groups were filtered (P < 0.05). KEGG enrichment analysis was performed on the screened genes to identify pathways associated with CVT. Results: Through analysis of medical history, routine tests, and imaging examinations, the etiology of 38 patients: 8 cases of antiphospholipid syndrome, 6 cases with hematologic diseases, 3 cases of protein C deficiency, and 2 cases of protein S deficiency. Five cases occurred during pregnancy or puerperium, and 3 cases had a history of oral contraceptive use, and so on. The etiology was unknown in 12 cases (31.6%), and the etiology of 4 patients were further clarified through WES: F9 c.838 + 1_838 + 16del, Hemizygote: F9 EX1-EX7 Dup; CBS c.430G > A, CBS c.949 A > G; F2 c.1787G > A; SERPINC1 c.409-11G > T. Comparing the WES data of two groups, a total of 179 different genes with rare damaging variants were screened (P < 0.05), with 5 genes of interest (JAK2, C3, PROC, PROZ, SERPIND1). Enrichment analysis of the 179 different genes revealed the complement and coagulation pathway and the mitogen activated protein kinases (MAPK) pathway were associated with CVT. Conclusion: For CVT patients with unknown etiology, WES could help identify the cause of CVT early, which is of great significance for treatment decisions and prognosis. In a jujube orchard, cropping withgrass may influence bacterial diversity and ecological networks due to changes of physicochemical properties in soil, which has a serious effect on the stability of soil ecosystems. The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of different cultivation methods (CK: cleaning tillage; NG: cropping with native grass; VV: cropping with Vicia villosa) on the soil's bacterial structure and its co-occurrence network in a jujube orchard. The results showed that the highest moisture content, total nitrogen, and organic matter in the rhizosphere soil of a jujube orchard was found in the VV group. The soil's moisture content, total nitrogen, and organic matter in the VV group were 2.66%, 0.87 g kg−1, and 5.55 mg kg−1 higher than that found in the CK group. Compared to the CK group, the number of unique species in the rhizosphere soil in the NG and the VV groups increased by 7.33% and 21.44%. The PICRUSt and FAPROTAX analysis showed that sown grass had a greater influence on the ecological function of the soil's bacteria. Cropping with Vicia villosa and native grass significantly increased aerobic chemoheterotrophy, nitrogen respiration, nitrate reduction related to biochemical cycles, and the relative abundance of genes related to carbohydrate metabolism and the biodegradation of xenobiotics. The bacterial network complexity in the NG group was higher than that in the CK and VV groups and was greatest in the hub nodes (OTU42, Bacteroidota; OTU541, Nitrospiraceae). In this study, the ecological benefit seen in the soil's microbial function provides support to the theory that cropping with grass (Vicia villosa) increases the sustainable development of a jujube orchard. Aim: This study aimed to determine the effects of iRoot BP Plus on receptor activator of nuclear factor‐κB ligand (RANKL)‐induced osteoclastogenesis in vitro and inflammation‐mediated bone resorption in vivo and investigated the underlying molecular mechanisms. Methodology: CCK‐8 was performed to test cell viability in RANKL‐induced RAW 264.7 cells and BMDMs in response to iRoot BP Plus. The effect of iRoot BP Plus on osteoclastogenesis was determined using TRAP staining and phalloidin staining, respectively. Pit formation assay was conducted to measure osteoclast resorptive capacity. Western blot and qPCR were performed to examine osteoclast‐related proteins and gene expression, respectively. Western blot was also used to investigate the signalling pathways involved. For in vivo experiments, an LPS‐induced mouse calvarial bone resorption model was established to analyse the effect of iRoot BP Plus on bone resorption (n = 6 per group). At 7 days, mouse calvaria were collected and prepared for histological analysis. Results: We identified that iRoot BP Plus extracts significantly attenuated RANKL‐induced osteoclastogenesis, reduced sealing zone formation, restrained osteolytic capacity and decreased osteoclast‐specific gene expression (p <.01). Mechanistically, iRoot BP Plus extracts reduced TRAF6 via proteasomal degradation, then suppressed the phosphorylation of mitogen‐activated protein kinases (MAPKs), blocked the nuclear translocation of c‐Fos and diminished nuclear factor‐κB (NF‐κB) p65 and NFATc1 accumulation. Consistent with the in vitro results, iRoot BP Plus extracts attenuated osteoclast activity thus protecting against inflammatory bone resorption in vivo (p <.05), which was accompanied by a suppression of TRAF6, c‐Fos, NFATc1 and cathepsin K expression. Atmospheric dryness (i.e., high vapor pressure deficit, VPD), together with soil moisture stress, limits plant photosynthesis and threatens ecosystem functioning. Regions where rainfall and soil moisture are relatively sufficient, such as the rainfed part of the U.S. Corn Belt, are especially prone to high VPD stress. With globally projected rising VPD under climate change, it is crucial to understand, simulate, and manage its negative impacts on agricultural ecosystems. However, most existing models simulating crop response to VPD are highly empirical and insufficient in capturing plant response to high VPD, and improved modeling approaches are urgently required. In this study, by leveraging recent advances in plant hydraulic theory, we demonstrate that the VPD constraints in the widely used coupled photosynthesis‐stomatal conductance models alone are inadequate to fully capture VPD stress effects. Incorporating plant xylem hydraulic transport significantly improves the simulation of transpiration under high VPD, even when soil moisture is sufficient. Our results indicate that the limited water transport capability from the plant root to the leaf stoma could be a major mechanism of plant response to high VPD stress. We then introduce a Demand‐side Hydraulic Limitation Factor (DHLF) that simplifies the xylem and the leaf segments of the plant hydraulic model to only one parameter yet captures the effect of plant hydraulic transport on transpiration response to high VPD with similar accuracy. We expect the improved understanding and modeling of crop response to high VPD to help contribute to better management and adaptation of agricultural systems in a changing climate. Objectives: To investigate the risk factors and underlying causes of pregnancy-related cerebral venous thrombosis (PCVT). Methods: A retrospective cohort of 16 patients diagnosed with CVT during pregnancy and postpartum (within six weeks after delivery) in a comprehensive hospital in China between 2009 and 2022 were carefully reviewed, focusing on demographic, clinical, and etiological characteristics, especially underlying causes. We matched 16 PCVT patients with 64 pregnant and puerperal women without PCVT to explore risk factors and clinical susceptibility to PCVT. Results: PCVT occurred commonly during the first trimester (43.75%) and the puerperium (37.5%). The frequency of anemia, thrombocytosis and thrombocytopenia during pregnancy, dehydration, and pre-pregnancy anemia was significantly higher in women with PCVT than in those without PCVT (P < 0.05). Among the 16 patients, five were diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome and one was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus. Three patients had distinct protein S deficiency and one had protein C deficiency. Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) was performed for five patients and revealed likely pathogenic mutations associated with CVT, including heterozygous PROC c.1218G > A (p. Met406Ile), heterozygous PROS1 c.301C > T (p. Arg101Cys), composite heterozygous mutation in the F8 gene (c.144-1259C > T; c.6724G > A (p. Val2242Met)) and homozygous MTHFR c.677C > T (p. Ala222Val). Conclusions: The occurrence of anemia, thrombocytopenia and thrombocytosis during pregnancy, dehydration and pre-pregnancy anemia suggested a greater susceptibility to PCVT. For confirmed PCVT patients, autoimmune diseases, hereditary thrombophilia, and hematological disorders were common causes. Background: The left-behind children (LBC), children and adolescents aged 0–18 whose parents have migrated for economic purposes for extended periods exceeding three months, present a unique social concern. These children remain in their place of household registration, often under the guardianship of relatives, while receiving compulsory education. LBC with growing Internet addiction (IA) have made it urgent to take a close look at the mechanisms and effective interventions for them. Anxiety has been proven to be correlated with IA in adolescents; however, the mechanisms of addiction in this population are less well-fully grasped. Based on the current theories and empirical results, the study examined whether and how social support (SS) and family types moderated the associations between anxiety and IA among left-behind secondary students. Methods: Stratified cluster sampling survey. A questionnaire was administered to 5290 secondary school children (2553 classified as left-behind) to explore the relationships between anxiety, IA, left-behind types, family types, and social support. This cross-sectional study employed a stratified cluster sampling survey of students in the ethnic areas of southeast Chongqing. The study sought to appraise the relationships between anxiety and IA in different types of left-behind children and to assess the potential moderating effect of SS on the relationship among the population and its family types differences. Results: The relationship between anxiety and IA was moderated significantly by social support and family types. Notably, the impact of social support on the moderating effect between IA and anxiety varied among students from both family types. For students from families where both parents had migrated, social support weakened the association between IA and anxiety. Conversely, for students from single-parent families where the parent had migrated, social support seemed to strengthen the relationships between these two issues. Conclusions: The moderating effects of SS on the relationship between anxiety and IA differs based on family type among various groups of left-behind secondary students. Flexible pressure sensors have attracted intensive interest for promising applications in healthcare monitoring and flexible electronic devices. Nonetheless, designing flexible pressure sensors to achieve both ultrahigh sensitivity (>1000 kPa−1) and an extensive linear range (>50 kPa) poses a significant challenge. In this study, a facile magnetic‐facilitated self‐assembly parallel circuit strategy to prepare high‐performance flexible pressure sensors in Nickel particles/polydimethylsiloxane (Ni/PDMS) matrices is proposed. The optimized magnetic‐induced Ni/PDMS piezoresistive sensor (MANPS) exhibits an ultrahigh sensitivity of 3707 kPa−1 over a wide broad linear range (0–80 kPa), and excellent durability with the capability of withstanding 2000 pressure cycles. The MANPS is able to detect a broad range of pressures from pulse to plantar pressures (≈60 kPa), demonstrating great potential for whole‐body healthcare monitoring. Additionally, the sensor is further assembled into an array configuration (2 × 5 pixels) for the assessment of plantar pressure distribution. Importantly, the sensitivity and linear range of the MANPS can be readily adjusted by modifying the mixing ratio of the curing agent, thereby significantly broadening its potential applications. Background: Inadequate DNA damage repair promotes aberrant differentiation of mammary epithelial cells. Mammary luminal cell fate is mainly determined by a few transcription factors including GATA3. We previously reported that GATA3 functions downstream of BRCA1 to suppress aberrant differentiation in breast cancer. How GATA3 impacts DNA damage repair preventing aberrant cell differentiation in breast cancer remains elusive. We previously demonstrated that loss of p18, a cell cycle inhibitor, in mice induces luminal-type mammary tumors, whereas depletion of either Brca1 or Gata3 in p18 null mice leads to basal-like breast cancers (BLBCs) with activation of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). We took advantage of these mutant mice to examine the role of Gata3 as well as the interaction of Gata3 and Brca1 in DNA damage repair in mammary tumorigenesis. Results: Depletion of Gata3, like that of Brca1, promoted DNA damage accumulation in breast cancer cells in vitro and in basal-like breast cancers in vivo. Reconstitution of Gata3 improved DNA damage repair in Brca1-deficient mammary tumorigenesis. Overexpression of GATA3 promoted homologous recombination (HR)-mediated DNA damage repair and restored HR efficiency of BRCA1-deficient cells. Depletion of Gata3 sensitized tumor cells to PARP inhibitor (PARPi), and reconstitution of Gata3 enhanced resistance of Brca1-deficient tumor cells to PARP inhibitor. Conclusions: These results demonstrate that Gata3 functions downstream of BRCA1 to promote DNA damage repair and suppress dedifferentiation in mammary tumorigenesis and progression. It is known for its simple structure, adjustability, and high efficiency, making it highly promising for various applications. This paper reviews the current application and research status of electric scroll compressors. It covers topics such as the optimal design of scroll compressor profiles, scroll disk leakage sealing, and computer simulation optimization design methods. Additionally, the progress and development trends of vapor-injection scroll compressors (SCVIs) are discussed. This paper also presents the latest research progress on the application of the new refrigerant CO2 in electric scroll compressors, along with its latest applications that align with sustainable development requirements. To explore the effect of hob temperature on the rock-breaking characteristics of full-section tunnel boring machines (TBMs) in sandstone strata, high-temperature furnace heating experiments of sandstone and physical and mechanical experiments at room temperature and high temperatures were conducted to obtain the mechanical properties of sandstone at different temperatures. The mechanical properties at different temperatures were calibrated using PFC3D to obtain micro-mechanical and thermodynamic parameters and establish a rock-breaking model. The orthogonal experiments were used to establish the simulation experiments of rock breaking under different temperatures, confining pressure conditions, knife tip distances, and penetration degrees. The results show that the hob tip force is gradually increasing with an increase in the confining pressure. When below 600 °C, there is little temperature transfer from particle to particle as the temperature increases. At this time, with the two sides of the rock slag flaking, the hob knife tip force is the first to reduce. After 600 °C, with the expansion of the rock extrusion hob, the temperature rises on both sides; at this time, the hob tip force also increased. The hob tip force is minimal at a tip distance of 70 mm and an S/P of 14. As the surrounding pressure increases, the rock-breaking efficiency of the hobber decreases. The highest rock-breaking efficiency is achieved at 25 °C and 600 °C. The rock-breaking efficiency is highest when the knife tip distance is designed to be 70 mm, and when the S/P is 14. The three-dimensional constitutive analysis of rock-breaking particles showed that the increment caused by the hob temperature is mainly distributed in the normal force direction in the surrounding rock without any confining pressure, and the increment caused by the hob temperature exposed to the confining pressure occurs in all directions. Watermelon silver mottle virus (WSMoV) and melon yellow spot virus (MYSV) (Tospoviridae, Orthotospovirus) are responsible for silver mottle mosaic and yellow spot symptoms, posing threats to melon (Cucumis melo), watermelon (Citrullus lanatus), and cucumber and leading to significant economic losses in China. Early disease detection and monitoring of these two viruses are necessary for disease management, for which a rapid, reliable, and adaptable diagnostic method is required. In this study, using a droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) method, the conserved region of the nucleocapsid gene (N gene) sequence was detected in WSMoV and MYSV. The probes and primers for WSMoV and MYSV did not detect other relevant cucurbit viruses, and the specificity reached 100%. Although both qPCR and ddPCR exhibited good reproducibility, the reproducibility of ddPCR was better than that of qPCR. The reproducibility of ddPCR was proved to be 100%. Moreover, ddPCR exhibited a good linear correlation with varying concentrations of targets. The detection limits of WSMoV and MYSV in ddPCR were 18 and 9 copies/μL and were approximately 12- and 18-times more than those in qPCR, respectively. Finally, 62 samples collected from the field (including infected melon, watermelon, and weeds) were further evaluated for the presence of WSMoV and MYSV. The field samples exhibited 91.94% and 51.61% positivity rates in ddPCR assays for WSMoV and MYSV, respectively; the rates were higher than those in qPCR (59.68% and 43.39%, respectively). The results indicated that ddPCR has a higher accuracy than qPCR. Therefore, ddPCR could be used in the clinical diagnosis of early infections of WSMoV and MYSV. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to establish a ddPCR method for the detection of WSMoV and MYSV. The application of this method for differential detection of MYSV and WSMoV will help in understanding the epidemics caused by these two important viruses and provide important information for the early detection, monitoring, and rapid extermination of infection. Flexible electronics strongly demand the integration of flexible and large‐scale multifunctional oxides. BiFeO3 is one of the most essential multifunctional oxides that could be used in memories, logics, sensors, and actuators. Recently, freestanding single‐crystalline BiFeO3 membranes exhibited superior elasticity and flexibility. However, fabrication and integration of large‐scale freestanding BiFeO3 membranes into flexible electronics remain elusive. In this study, inch‐scale freestanding single‐crystalline BiFeO3 membranes are fabricated with assistance from a water‐soluble sacrificial layer. To transfer flat and crack‐free membranes, all the existing methods are first followed but fail. Then the study introduces a temporary supporting Cu layer on the surface of the as‐grown SiTiO3/Sr3Al2O6/(SrRuO3/)BiFeO3 heterostructure and successfully obtains full and crack‐free 5 mm × 5 mm freestanding membranes on various substrates. The residual strain within the heterostructure releases gradually under the protection of the Cu layer. The freestanding BiFeO3 membranes are relatively uniform among different regions and exhibit good dielectric, ferroelectric, and ferromagnetic properties. Finally, flexible ferroelectric photovoltaic devices are patterned based on those BiFeO3 membranes, and they have open circuit voltage and short circuit current density up to −0.25 ± 0.03 V and 0.82 ± 0.09 µA cm−2, respectively. In order to optimize the efficiency and safety of gas hydrate extraction, it is essential to develop a credible constitutive model for sands containing hydrates. A model incorporating both cementation and damage was constructed to describe the behavior of hydrate-bearing cemented sand. This model is based on the critical state theory and builds upon previous studies. The damage factor Ds is incorporated to consider soil degradation and the reduction in hydrate cementation, as described by plastic shear strain. A computer program was developed to simulate the mechanisms of cementation and damage evolution, as well as the stress-strain curves of hydrate-bearing cemented sand. The results indicate that the model replicates the mechanical behavior of soil cementation and soil deterioration caused by impairment well. By comparing the theoretical curves with the experimental data, the compliance of the model was calculated to be more than 90 percent. The new state-dependent elasto-plastic constitutive model based on cementation and damage of hydrate-bearing cemented sand could provide vital guidance for the construction of deep-buried tunnels, extraction of hydrocarbon compounds, and development of resources. Background: The shortage of nurses has been a global human resources problem. A good professional growth environment is essential to developing potential nursing students and attracting nurses to join, and it has great significance in reducing nurse turnover. However, nurses' comprehensive perceptions of professional growth have not yet been examined. Methods: A cluster sampling method was used to conduct a professional growth questionnaire survey on young nursing talents from a large Chinese public tertiary A hospital in March 2022. Results: The score of professional growth among 243 young nursing talents was 57.92 ± 9.607, with a scoring rate of 77.23%. The scores for dimensions of professional growth, from lowest to highest, were rehabilitation growth, promotion speed, professional goal progress, and professional ability development. Attitudes towards participating in training, service as the quality manager or clinical teacher, self-efficacy, professional title, work-family support, education, and organizational commitment of young nursing talents were significantly associated with professional growth. Conclusion: The professional growth of young nursing talents was at a moderate level and needed to be strengthened. Barley is one of the world's earliest domesticated crops, which is widely used for beer production, animal feeding, and health care. Barley seed germination, particularly in increasingly saline soils, is key to ensure the safety of crop production. However, the mechanism of salt‐affected seed germination in barley remains elusive. Here, two different colored barley varieties were used to independently study the regulation mechanism of salt tolerance during barley seed germination. High salinity delays barley seed germination by slowing down starch mobilization efficiency in seeds. The starch plate test revealed that salinity had a significant inhibitory effect on α‐amylase activity in barley seeds. Further, NaCl treatment down‐regulated the expression of Amy1, Amy2 and Amy3 genes in germinated seeds, thereby inhibiting α‐amylase activity. In addition, the result of embryogenic culture system in vitro showed that the shoot elongation of barley was significantly inhibited by salt stress. These findings indicate that it is a feasible idea to study the regulation mechanism of salinity on barley seed germination and embryo growth from the aspect of starch‐related source‐sink communication. In plants, iron (Fe) regulated transporters (IRT) play important roles in uptake and transport of Fe that contributes to plant growth and development. However, biological functions of IRT transporters in fruit trees are still unknown. This study isolated 10 VvIRT genes from ‘Marselan’ grape, with varying expression levels across different tissues/organs, particularly enhanced under Fe depletion, especially in roots. Notably, VvIRT7 is the most abundantly expressed IRT gene in grape, beneficially restoring the Fe2+ uptake defect of yeast mutant DEY1453. Furthermore, VvIRT7 showed dominant expression in the roots of irt1/35S::IRT7 complementation lines. Overexpressing of VvIRT7 rescued the retarded growth of irt1 knockout mutant, by increasing the fresh weight, dry weight, total root length, total root surface, lateral root numbers, total leaf chlorophyll, ACO activity, NiR activity, SDH activity, and tissue Fe concentration. Integration of magnetic materials into bio‐integrated flexible electronics will bring multi‐functionality, such as magnetoception and wireless communication. In practical application, the performance of magnetic materials and devices should remain stable during cyclic bending–unbending and they can be degradable within a designated lifetime. However, direct integration of magnetic materials with flexible and biocompatible materials and maintaining mechanically stable microwave performance have not been achieved yet. Here, ultrathin (5–50 nm) permalloy (NiFe) films deposited on biocompatible silk fibroin (SF) films are shown to be bending stable, and dissolvable. The ferromagnetic properties of NiFe films deposited on SF, Kapton, and silicon are studied and compared by ferromagnetic resonance. Benefiting from the low surface roughness of fibroin, which is only ≈0.8 nm, SF/NiFe films exhibit comparable ferromagnetic properties to Si/NiFe, better than that of Kapton/NiFe films. Moreover, the ferromagnetic resonance field of SF/NiFe films remains highly stable during cyclic bending that is exposed to both compressive and tensile strain/stress, and its temperature stability is very close to that of Si/NiFe. Finally, the whole SF/NiFe films are demonstrated to be dissolvable and biocompatible. Piezoelectric response of the ferroelectric/piezoelectric thin films is crucial for actuation of micro‐electromechanical systems (MEMS) devices as well as strain‐mediated electronic devices. Among many piezoelectric modes, longitudinal and transverse piezostrain is the most widely used. Various methods have been well established for quantitative characterization of the longitudinal piezostrain, such as laser interferometer and piezoelectric force microscopy. However, it is still a great challenge to characterize transverse piezostrain. Herein, a new method is established to characterize the transverse (in‐plane) piezostrain of ferroelectric/piezoelectric thin films by the inverse magnetoelectric (ME) coupling effect. A ferromagnetic thin film is patterned onto the ferroelectric thin film to form an artificial multiferroic heterostructure. The transverse piezostrain can transfer from the ferroelectric layer to the ferromagnetic layer and shift its ferromagnetic resonance field through the ME coupling effect. By comparing with a control sample of "bulk piezoceramic/ferromagnetic thin film" whose in‐plane piezostrain can be easily measured, the in‐plane piezostrain and piezoelectric coefficient of the ferroelectric thin films are then estimated. The in‐plane piezoelectric coefficient d31 and piezoelectric strain S31 of Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 (PZT) thin films are measured by this method. Small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) which are nanoscale membranous vesicles with lipid bilayers secreted by most cells, have received widespread attention from research scholars because they are important mediators of substance exchange and signaling. The basis of curing hepatitis B disease lies in fully understanding the molecular mechanism of HBV replication regulation. HBV mainly binds to membrane surface receptors for replication and transmission, but it is not the only route of infection. In addition to the receptor route, sEVs can transmit free viral HBV to uninfected hepatocytes. However, the mechanism of sEVs mediating HBV infection is not very clear to us, therefore, this paper will focuses on the relationship between sEVs secreted by hepatocytes after HBV infection and the transmission of HBV virus and the mechanism of infection, so as to provide a theoretical guidance for clinical treatment of hepatitis B virus infection. Accurate and cost-effective quantification of the carbon cycle for agroecosystems at decision-relevant scales is critical to mitigating climate change and ensuring sustainable food production. However, conventional process-based or data-driven modeling approaches alone have large prediction uncertainties due to the complex biogeochemical processes to model and the lack of observations to constrain many key state and flux variables. Here we propose a Knowledge-Guided Machine Learning (KGML) framework that addresses the above challenges by integrating knowledge embedded in a process-based model, high-resolution remote sensing observations, and machine learning (ML) techniques. Using the U.S. Corn Belt as a testbed, we demonstrate that KGML can outperform conventional process-based and black-box ML models in quantifying carbon cycle dynamics. Our high-resolution approach quantitatively reveals 86% more spatial detail of soil organic carbon changes than conventional coarse-resolution approaches. Optical nonreciprocity plays a significant role in quantum optics domain-underpinning a myriad of phenomena and applications. In this paper, we propose a feasible scheme to analyze the nonreciprocal optical bistability and nonreciprocal transmission in a hybrid atom-optomechanical system. We find that the nonreciprocal optical bistability behaviors can be enhanced and promoted when the atom-cavity interaction is introduced. In particular, the cavity-atom interaction also makes the photon transmission more sensitive to the propagation direction enabling the nonreciprocal transmission with the low input field intensity in a weak optomechanical coupling regime. Implementation of such scheme will demonstrate some mechanisms of optical nonreciprocity and may be beneficial for generation of the nonreciprocal optical devices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Insufficient immune cell infiltration into the tumor microenvironment (TME) greatly compromises the clinical application of immune‐checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs)‐based immunotherapy. Recent findings have shown that activation of the cyclic GMP‐AMP synthase‐stimulator of interferon genes (cGAS‐STING) pathway can enhance natural immunity and increase lymphocyte infiltration into the TME, which presents a promising strategy for cancer immunotherapy. In this study, we constructed hydroxyapatite nanoparticles co‐loaded with curcumin and L‐oxaliplatin (Cur/L‐OHP@HAP NPs). We analyzed the particle‐size distribution, zeta potential, spectral characteristics (Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy), and drug‐release properties of the Cur/L‐OHP@HAP NPs. The cellular uptake of the Cur/L‐OHP@HAP NPs detected by flow cytometry and confocal laser‐scanning microscopy. We comprehensively evaluated the anti‐tumor properties and immune‐activating effects of the NPs, both in vitro and in vivo. Physicochemical characterizations demonstrated that the Cur/L‐OHP@HAP NPs were successfully synthesized and were capable of pH‐dependent drug release. Notably, the Cur/L‐OHP@HAP NPs efficiently entered cancer cells, after which the released L‐OHP induced nuclear DNA (nDNA) damage to some extent. HAP promoted the release of intracellular Ca2+ stores in cancer cells, and curcumin inhibited Ca2+ efflux, resulting in intracellular Ca2+ overload and the release of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA). Damage to both nDNA and mtDNA greatly stimulated the cGAS‐STING pathway, thereby activating natural immunity, accompanied by immune cell recruitment to the TME. We consider a panel data model that allows for heterogeneous time trends at different locations. The model is well suited to identifying trends in climate data recorded at multiple stations. We propose a new estimation method for the model and derive an asymptotic theory for the proposed estimation method. For inferential purposes, we develop a bootstrap method for the case where weak correlation presents in both dimensions of the error terms. We examine the finite-sample properties of the proposed model and estimation method through extensive simulated studies. Finally, we use the newly proposed model and method to investigate monthly rainfall, temperature, and sunshine data of the UK, respectively. Vector autoregressive (VAR) models are widely used in practical studies, for example, forecasting, modeling policy transmission mechanism, and measuring connection of economic agents. To better capture the dynamics, this article introduces a new class of time-varying VAR models in which the coefficients and covariance matrix of the error innovations are allowed to change smoothly over time. Accordingly, we establish a set of asymptotic properties including the impulse response analyses subject to structural VAR identification conditions, an information criterion to select the optimal lag, and a Wald-type test to determine the constant coefficients. Simulation studies are conducted to evaluate the theoretical findings. Stroke is the leading cause of death and disability worldwide. Novel and effective therapies for ischemic stroke are urgently needed. Here, we report that melatonin receptor 1A (MT1) agonist ramelteon is a neuroprotective drug candidate as demonstrated by comprehensive experimental models of ischemic stroke, including a middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) mouse model of cerebral ischemia in vivo, organotypic hippocampal slice cultures ex vivo, and cultured neurons in vitro; the neuroprotective effects of ramelteon are diminished in MT1‐knockout (KO) mice and MT1‐KO cultured neurons. For the first time, we report that the MT1 receptor is significantly depleted in the brain of MCAO mice, and ramelteon treatment significantly recovers the brain MT1 losses in MCAO mice, which is further explained by the Connectivity Map L1000 bioinformatic analysis that shows gene‐expression signatures of MCAO mice are negatively connected to melatonin receptor agonist like Ramelteon. We demonstrate that ramelteon improves the cerebral blood flow signals in ischemic stroke that is potentially mediated, at least, partly by mechanisms of activating endothelial nitric oxide synthase. Our results also show that the neuroprotection of ramelteon counteracts reactive oxygen species‐induced oxidative stress and activates the nuclear factor erythroid 2‐related factor 2/heme oxygenase‐1 pathway. Ramelteon inhibits the mitochondrial and autophagic death pathways in MCAO mice and cultured neurons, consistent with gene set enrichment analysis from a bioinformatics perspective angle. Our data suggest that Ramelteon is a potential neuroprotective drug candidate, and MT1 is the neuroprotective target for ischemic stroke, which provides new insights into stroke therapy. Oil and gas pipeline accidents not only caused personnel casualties, economic losses and environmental pollution but also brought great panic to the public. To provide accurate accident prevention strategies, risk assessment (RA) has been widely used in the oil and gas pipeline industry. It aims to quantify the potential risk due to unexpected eventualities. However, the current RA methods mainly pay attention to the tangible risk (such as the human safety risk, economic risk and environmental risk), and the intangible risk (such as reputation loss risk) is often neglected. This cannot reflect the real risk for the oil and gas pipeline. To settle existing research limitation, a two-dimensional risk assessment method for oil and gas pipelines based on "accident probability–reputation loss" is proposed. The method mainly involves four steps, namely, risk identification, probability calculation, consequence assessment and risk assessment. The proposed method is used to quantitatively assess a natural gas pipeline in central China. Its results indicate that pipeline risk is unacceptable due to the unacceptability of accident probability and various dimensions of risk. Therefore, this study can enrich and develop the current oil and gas pipeline RA method to reflect the real risk of oil and gas pipeline accidents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In addition to a carbon-neutral vision being recognized worldwide, the utilization of wind energies via horizontal-axis wind turbines, especially in offshore areas, has been intensively investigated from an academic perspective. Numerical simulations play a significant role in the design and optimization of offshore wind turbines. The current review focuses on studies concerning the numerical simulations of offshore wind turbine dynamics, including the modelling of the aerodynamic and hydrodynamic conditions of the environment and the reduced-order modelling of the wind turbine dynamic responses. In detail, the functions and mechanisms of each module in the numerical simulation of the wind turbine dynamics are articulated, which in turn demonstrates its importance for the design of offshore wind turbines, and hence the development of the offshore wind industry. Based on this review, it is argued that the vertical variations in wind velocities, the blade element momentum theory, the wave dynamic models, and the reduced-order model for structural dynamics are the major concerns for the numerical simulation of wind turbines. In the current context of global urbanization and climate change, balancing ecological protection and economic development is a particular challenge in the optimal allocation of regional land use. Here, we propose a research framework for the optimal allocation of land use that considers the regional ecological security pattern (ESP) and allocates space for land-use activities to areas with low ecological risk. Taking Baicheng, China as our study area, ecological sources were first identified by integrating their ecological importance and landscape connectivity, and ecological corridors and functional zones were extracted using the minimum cumulative resistance difference and circuit theory. The ecological source areas were then taken as limiting factors, and four future scenarios were established for 2030 using the parcel-level land-use simulator (PLUS) model. The ecological corridors and functional zones served as areas having restricted ecological conditions, and the four future scenarios were coupled into the corresponding functional zones to optimize the land-use structure in 2030. The results indicate that under the coupled ESP–PLUS scenario, the spatial distribution and structure of land use in Baicheng balance the needs of ecological source area protection and economic development, resulting in greater sustainability. By 2030, the cultivated land area will steadily increase, but attention will also be given to the protection of ecological land (e.g., woodland and marshland), aligning with current policy planning demands. An analysis of the landscape indices for each future scenario found all scenarios to be effective in reducing negative changes in landscape patterns. The aim of this study is to analyze the clinical characteristics and outcomes of Chinese patients with progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) who were treated with programmed cell death protein 1 (PD1) blockade therapies. We retrospectively analyzed patients who were admitted to our hospital between October 1, 2020, and October 1, 2022, diagnosed with PML and treated with PD1 blockade therapies. Four patients with PML who were treated with PD1 blockade therapies were identified. All patients were male, and their ages ranged from 19 to 54 years old. One patient (Case 2) exhibited mild pleocytosis, while three patients (Cases 2–4) had markedly reduced T lymphocyte cell counts prior to treatment. The time interval between symptom onset and treatment initiation ranged from six to 54 weeks. All patients received pembrolizumab treatment, with a total of two to four doses administered. Three patients who responded to pembrolizumab treatment showed clinical improvement starting around 8 weeks after the initiation of therapy. Although one patient did not show clinical improvement, they ultimately survived until the last follow-up. None of the patients in this study exhibited immune-related adverse events or immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome. PD1 blockade appears to be a promising novel therapeutic option for PML; additional prospective studies are necessary to confirm its efficacy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
