Objective Exploring the relationship between pain recurrence after percutaneous radiofrequency thermocoagulation and the degree of trigeminal nerve atrophy and pontine angle in patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia (INT). Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 297 patients with INT admitted to Qingdao Haici Hospital Affiliated to Qingdao University (Qingdao Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital) from January 2020 to December 2021. All patients received percutaneous radiofrequency thermocoagulation surgery in our hospital. They were followed up for 24 months, during which 56 patients experienced pain recurrence after surgery (recurrence group), while 241 patients did not experience postoperative pain recurrence (non-recurrence group). Results The length of the trigeminal nerve root, degree of trigeminal nerve atrophy, and the combined application of the two were used to draw ROC curves. The AUC values predicted for pain recurrence in INT patients after percutaneous radiofrequency thermocoagulation were 0.553, 0.750, and 0.861, respectively. The results of the logistic regression model showed that shortened trigeminal nerve root length (OR = 0.624, P = 0.038), increased degree of trigeminal nerve atrophy (OR = 2.257, P = 0.000), multi vessel compression (OR = 1.842, P = 0.019), and severe baseline pain (OR = 1.714, P = 0.000) were independent risk factors for pain recurrence in INT patients after percutaneous radiofrequency thermocoagulation (P < 0.05). Conclusions INT patients undergo thin-layer MRI scans before surgery, and the degree of trigeminal nerve atrophy has a higher predictive value for pain recurrence after radiofrequency thermocoagulation. Objective To explore the risk factors related to the recurrence of minor ischemic stroke (MIS) within two years by using an interpretable machine learning model. Methods General data, laboratory results, imaging, and other data of patients with MIS in the Department of Neurology, Shanxi Cardiovascular Hospital from July to December 2020 were retrospectively collected. The risk factors for recurrence were screened by univariate analysis. Synthetic minority oversampling technique-nominal continuous treated the imbalance in the data. The data set was divided into a training set and a test set in a ratio of 8∶2. Grid search 10- fold cross-validation to build light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM) and support vector machine (SVM) models. Compared with the logistic regression (LR) model, the discrimination and calibration degree of the model were evaluated based on the AUC and calibration curve, respectively. The model with the best performance was interpreted by the Shapley additive explanation (SHAP) model. Results A total of 520 patients with MIS were included in this study, and 93 (17.9%) relapsed within two years. The AUC of LightGBM, SVM, and LR predicted recurrence within 2 years in the test set were 0.935 (95%CI 0.896-0.973), 0.833 (95%CI 0.770-0.896), and 0.764 (95%CI 0.691- 0.835), respectively. The accuracy was 0.890, 0.773, 0.693, and the Brier score was 0.105, 0.167, and 0.200, respectively. The results showed that the LightGBM model had the best performance. The top 5 features of the SHAP-based LightGBM explanatory model were diastolic blood pressure, age, diabetes mellitus, LDL-C, and smoking. Conclusions The prediction effect of the LightGBM model established in this study is good, and it can provide a reference for predicting recurrence in patients with MIS within two years. SHAP interpretability helps clinicians better understand the reasons behind prediction model results and make more personalized and rational clinical decisions for patients with MIS. Objective To investigate the influencing factors of medication adherence in ischemic stroke patients. Methods This prospective study consecutively included the ischemic stroke inpatients at the international department of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University from June 2022 to December 2023. A questionnaire was used to collect information on patients’ general information, medication adherence [evaluated by the Morisky medication adherence scale (MMAS)], perceived health competence [assessed by the perceived health competence scale (PHCS)], and stroke recurrence. The patients were divided into a poor adherence group (MMAS score<6) and a medium-high adherence group (MMAS score≥6) based on their MMAS scores. The demographic characteristics, clinical features, and vascular risk factors of the two groups were compared, and the influencing factors of medication adherence were analyzed using multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results A total of 212 patients with ischemic stroke were included in this study, with a mean age of (59.9±5.9) years, and an MMAS score of 6 (6-7), of whom 41 cases (19.34%) belonged to the poor adherence group and 171 cases (80.66%) belonged to the medium-high adherence group. The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the risk of poor compliance in patients with a junior high school education or below was 6.290 times higher than that of patients with a college degree or above (95%CI 1.912-20.689, P=0.002); the risk of poor adherence in patients without a spouse was 4.172 times higher than that of patients with a spouse (95%CI 1.372-12.684, P=0.012); the risk of poor compliance in unemployed patients was 4.115 times higher than that of employed patients (95%CI 1.326-12.773, P=0.014); and the risk of poor compliance in patients with low PHCS scores was 2.190 times higher than that of patients with moderate PHCS scores (95%CI 1.098-4.370, P=0.026). Patients in the medium-high adherence group had higher follow-up completion rates at 1-month (99.42% vs. 92.68%, P=0.004), 3-month (98.83% vs. 80.49%, P＜0.001) and 6-month (98.25% vs. 75.61%, P＜0.001) after discharge than those in the low medication adherence group, and the difference was statistically significant. Meanwhile, the stroke recurrence rates of patients at 3-month (3.55% vs. 12.12%, P=0.038) and 6-month (4.76% vs. 16.13%, P=0.019) follow-up visits were lower than those of patients with low adherence, and the differences were statistically significant. Conclusions Patients with a junior high school education or below, without a spouse, unemployed, and with a low PHCS score are at a higher risk of poor medication adherence. Nursing staff should consider the individual differences of patients comprehensively, and develop and implement personalized health education plans to improve patients’ medication adherence. Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics, spatial clustering, and influencing factors of tuberculosis recurrence in Kashgar within three years after successful treatment to provide a scientific basis for tuberculosis recurrence management. Methods Taking the tuberculosis patients successfully treated in Kashgar from 2013 to 2020 as the research object, we observed the recurrence epidemic characteristics, conducted spatial analysis to understand the recurrence clustering, and used the Cox regression model to explore the influencing factors. Results Among the 104 899 objects,14 180 experienced recurrences within three years, with a cumulative recurrence rate of 13.52%. Spatial analysis showed a positive spatial correlation of tuberculosis recurrence, with recurrence hotspots mainly concentrated in Shache, Yingjisha, and Bachu counties. The Cox model showed that male (aHR=1.155, 95%CI: 1.118-1.195), Uyghur (aHR=2.186, 95%CI: 1.786-2.681), 45-<60 age groups (aHR=1.631, 95%CI: 1.061-2.507) and ≥60 age groups (aHR=1.782, 95%CI: 1.160-2.738), farmers and herdsmen (aHR=1.104, 95%CI: 1.039-1.173), re-treatment (aHR=1.086, 95%CI: 1.036-1.138), positive aetiology result (aHR=1.377, 95%CI: 1.324-1.432), positive sputum smear after two months of treatment (aHR=1.699, 95%CI: 1.501-1.924), total delay ≥30 days (aHR=1.129, 95%CI: 1.088-1.171) and living in hotspots (aHR=1.470, 95%CI: 1.413-1.530) were independent risk factors for recurrence after successful treatment. Conclusion Priority should be given to improving the monitoring and management of patients in hotspot regions and those at high risk of relapse after treatment to ensure early detection of TB relapse and standardized care. Objective: To analyze the relationship between Serum indoxyl sulfate (IS), lysyl oxidase-like protein 2 (LOXL2), glucose-regulated protein 94 (GRP94) and recurrence after radiofrequency catheter ablation in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF). Methods: 155 patients with PAF who were underwent radiofrequency catheter ablation in our hospital from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected, and followed up for 1 year after operation. The patients were divided into non recurrence group and recurrence group according to whether PAF recurred, and the levels of serum IS, LOXL2 and GRP94 were compared between two groups, and the factors affecting recurrence after operation were analyzed by multivariate logistic regression analysis. The value of serum IS, LOXL2, GRP94 and their combination in predicting the recurrence of patients with PAF after radiofrequency catheter ablation were analyzed by ROC curve. Results: 155 patients with PAF were followed up for 1 year after operation, and 40 cases (25.81%) experienced recurrence. The duration of atrial fibrillation and left atrial diameter (LAD) in recurrence group were longer than those in non recurrence group, the proportion of New York Heart Association (NYHA) cardiac function grade III in recurrence group was higher than that in non recurrence group, and the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in recurrence group was lower than that in non recurrence group (P<0.05). The level of serum GRP94 in recurrent group was lower than that in the non recurrent group, and the levels of serum IS and LOXL2 were higher than those in non recurrent group (P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that, NYHA cardiac function grade III, elevated serum IS levels, elevated serum LOXL2 levels, longer duration of atrial fibrillation, and increased LAD were risk factors for recurrence after operation (P<0.05), and elevated serum GRP94 levels and elevated LVEF were protective factors (P<0.05). The ROC curve showed that, the AUC of serum IS, LOXL2, GRP94 levels and their combination in predicting recurrence after operation were 0.764, 0.710, 0.806 and 0.853, respectively, and the AUC of the combination of the three was significantly higher than that of IS, LOXL2 and GRP94. Conclusion: The risk of recurrence after operation increased in patients with PAF with increased serum IS and LOXL2 levels and decreased GRP94 levels before radiofrequency catheter ablation, and the combination of the three can guide the clinical identification of high risk groups of recurrence after operation, and predict the risk of early recurrence after operation. Objective To investigate the relationships between the serum 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and nerve growth factor (NGF) levels and recurrence after selective resection of the dorsal nerve of the penis in patients with primary premature ejaculation. Methods Totally 200 patients who underwent selective resection of the dorsal nerve of the penis were selected as the study subjects. Six months after surgery, they were divided into the recurrent group (n=23) and nonrecurrent group (n=177) based on whether the patients had recurrence or not. The clinical data, serum levels of 5-HT and NGF were compared between two groups. The correlations between 5-HT and NGF with the Chinese Index of Premature Ejaculation-5 questionnaire (CIPE-5), International Index of Erectile Function-5（IIEF-5) score, and ejaculation latency time (IELT) were analyzed. Factors affecting postoperative recurrence were analyzed, and we constructed a nomogram model to evaluate the consistency between the postoperative recurrence predicted by model containing serum indicators and the actual observation, and used the decision curve to evaluate the clinical benefit of the model. Results The serum 5- HT level, IELT, and CIPE-5 score in the recurrent group were lower than those in the non-recurrent group at 3 months after surgery, while the NGF level was higher than that in the non-recurrent group (all P<0. 05) . The serum 5-HT level was positively correlated with CIPE-5 score and IELT in patients with primary premature ejaculation before surgery, 1 months after surgery, and 3 months after surgery (all P<0. 05), but was not related to IIEF-5 score (P>0. 05) ； the serum NGF level was negatively correlated with CIPE-5 score and IELT (all P<0. 05), but was not related to IIEF-5 score (P>0. 05) .IELT, CIPE-5 score, serum 5-HT, and NGF levels at 3 months after surgery were independent influencing factors for postoperative recurrence in patients with primary premature ejaculation (all P<0. 05) . The consistency index of the nomogram model in predicting postoperative recurrence related factors in patients with primary premature ejaculation was 0. 775 (95% CI=0. 674-0. 802) . The decision curve showed that when the model containing serum indicators predicted postoperative recurrence in patients with primary premature ejaculation in the range of 0. 2-0. 85, it could provide additional clinical benefits. Objective To understand the clinical characteristics and microecological status of lower genital tract in females with genital herpes in gynecological clinic in order to standardize the treatment of genital herpes. Methods A total of 27 women diagnosed with genital herpes were enrolled from the gynecological clinic of Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Capital Medical University. The clinical data and vaginal microecology of participants were analyzed. Results All patients presented with various degree of external genital itching, pain, burning pain, sting pain, etc. Gynecological examination showed typical external genital herpes and/or irregular small ulcers. One case presented with cervical herpes-like changes. Abnormal vaginal microecology was observed in 88.89% of the patients (24/27), including 8 cases of decreased function of flora, 2 cases of bacterial vaginosis, 6 cases of vulvovaginal candidiasis, 7 cases of abnormal flora, and 1 case of mixed infections. The pH of vaginal secretions was higher, evidenced by 22 cases (22/ 27, 81.48%) with pH > 4.5. Conclusions The clinical manifestations of female genital herpes vary and are often accompanied by vaginal dysbiosis. In clinic, it is recommended to conduct vaginal microbiota examination and personalize targeted treatment for all women with suspected genital herpes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background Serum remnant cholesterol (RC) is associated with the onset of ischemic stroke (IS). However, studies on the correlation between RC levels and recurrent IS are limited, and the predictive value of RC in recurrent IS has not been analyzed. Objective To investigate the correlation between serum RC and the recurrence of IS, and to evaluate the predictive value of RC levels in recurrent IS by detecting serum RC levels in patients with IS. Methods Patients diagnosed as IS and hospitalized in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, the Second Hospital of Nanchang, and the Third Hospital of Nanchang from March 2019 to March 2021 were included in the study. Relevant clinical information within 48 hours of admission was collected. All patients were followed up for 12 months to record the cases of recurrent IS. Cox regression and Restricted Cubic Spline (RCS) were performed to identify the correlation between RC levels and recurrent IS. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted to evaluate the predictive value of RC levels in recurrent IS. Results A total of 1 023 eligible patients were included in the study, and 107 (10.46%) of them experienced IS recurrence within 1 year. Background and purpose: According to current consensus, adverse high-risk pathological features are only associated with adjuvant therapy for stage Ⅱ colorectal cancer (CRC). As important prognostic factors, we further explored the possibility of identifying patients with potential recurrence and poor prognosis based on these incorporating high-risk pathological features. Methods: This is a cohort study. A retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical data of CRC patients who underwent surgical treatment at the Second Department of Colorectal Surgery, Fudan University Affiliated Shanghai Cancer Center from 2008 to 2018. This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center (approval No.: 050432-4-2108*), and the study complies with the Declaration of Helsinki. A total of 9 875 patients were enrolled, including 5 859 males and 4 016 females, aged [M (IQR)] 60 (16) years (range: 16 to 94). Median follow-up time was 1 779.0 days [95% CI: 1 750.1-1 807.9]. We used the Kaplan-Meier method to plot survival curves for different groups. Cox multivariate analysis was used to identify independent risk factors for 5-year overall survival (OS), disease-free survival (DFS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS). Finally, a column chart model was constructed to evaluate and stratify patient prognosis. The Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) checklist was followed for this cohort study. Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of ofatumumab in the treatment of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSDs). Methods The clinical data of 25 patients with NMOSDs hospitalized in The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from April 2022 to March 2023 and treated with ofatumumab were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into 2 groups, Group A with 12 cases receiving regular medication, and Group B with 13 cases receiving medication based on the percentage of CD19+B lymphocytes. Annual relapse rate (ARR), the number of relapses, the frequency and time of relapses, and the symptoms of relapses were calculated before and at one year of medication. The neurological function was assessed by Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) before and at one year of medication. The adverse drug reactions were recorded during medication. Results After one year treatment with ofatumumab, 3 patients (12%) experienced recurrence. One patient in Group A experienced recurrence twice, one month and 5 months after treatment, respectively. At the second recurrence, the percentage of CD19+B lymphocytes was 2.80%. Two patients in Group B experienced recurrence, one patient relapsed twice at 2 and 6 months after medication. The percentage of CD19+B lymphocytes was 0.80% and 0.21%, respectively; another patient relapsed once at 2 months after medication. At the time of recurrence, the percentage of CD19+B lymphocytes was 0.70%. There was a statistically significant difference in ARR before and after one year treatment (F = 29.061, P = 0.000). After one year's treatment, the ARR of Group A (t = 13.215, P = 0.001) and Group B (t = 19.259, P = 0.000) was decreased than before. There were 8 cases of the injection site pain, 3 cases of fever after injection, and one case of headache after injection. There were no serious adverse reactions such as disability and death, and EDSS scores were not increased. Conclusions Continuous administration of ofatumumab every 3 months or based on the percentage of CD19+B lymphocyte can reduce recurrence. Combination with corticosteroids should be alert to the risk of infection.

Background In the context of aging in our country, the incidence and recurrence rates of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) are increasing year by year, and the mortality and disability rates are high. In recent years, the application of stress hyperglycemia ratio (SHR) in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases has become more and more common, but its research in the recurrence of mild AIS is currently limited. Objective To explore the correlation between SHR and the recurrence of mild AIS in elderly patients within one year, and to provide a more theoretical basis for the prevention of AIS recurrence. Methods The study selected patients who were first diagnosed with mild AIS at the Shijiazhuang Fifth Hospital from May 2018 to January 2022. The study started with the diagnosis of mild AIS and ended one year after the diagnosis. A nested case-control study was conducted, and patients who were confirmed to have a recurrence within one year were included in the recurrence group. The non-recurrence group was matched at a ratio of 1∶3 based on 'diagnosis time, age, gender, infarction location, and whether they have diabetes'. A total of 70 patients were included in the recurrence group, and 210 patients were matched in the non-recurrence group. Through the Hospital Information System (HIS), patients gender, age, history of hypertension, history of atrial fibrillation, BMI, baseline NIHSS score, LDL-C, HbA1c, random blood glucose on admission, etc. were collected, and the SHR was calculated. Multivariate conditional Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the correlation between SHR and the 1-year recurrence of mild AIS in elderly patients. This study is likely investigating the influence of the SHR on the recurrence of AIS within one year in elderly patients. Results The average age of the 280 patients was (71.9±6.4) years; 176 were male (62.9%), and 104 were female (37.1%) ; 88 patients (31.4%) had a history of diabetes. According to the median of the data, stress hyperglycemia ≥10 mmol/L was considered high, 1.04 was considered high, ≤1.04 was considered low. Objective To identify the key genes associated with recurrent breast cancer in pregnancy by transcriptome data analysis. Methods The gene expression profiles of the GSE53031 gene set, which was associated with pregnancy-associated breast cancer, were downloaded from the GEO database. Gene expression differences between recurrent and non-recurrent breast cancer patients in pregnancy were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test method in the “limma” software package. The R package “ClusterProfiler” was used to perform Gene Ontology (GO) functional annotation and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis of these differentially expressed genes. The protein-protein interaction (PPI) network of differentially expressed genes was constructed using the STRING online database, and the “igraph” package was used to analyze the PPI network to identify key genes of breast cancer recurrence during pregnancy. Kaplan- Meier(KM) method and univariate Cox regression analysis were used to evaluate the relationship between the key genes and recurrence-free survival of breast cancer patients during pregnancy. Results In the GSE63514 dataset, 840 genes with significant differences in the expression of recurrent breast cancer samples in pregnancy were obtained, including 390 up-regulated genes and 450 down-regulated genes. GO functional annotation and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis showed that multiple differentially expressed genes were significant enriched in cell cycle regulation, mismatch repair, RNA degradation, DNA replication, breast cancer, and p53 signaling pathway. PPI network analysis showed that the top 10 node genes in the network were PLK1, STAT3, SRC, UHRF1, UBE2C, UBE2T, TRIP13, RAD51, MYC, and TPX2, which were initially defined as the key genes for the recurrence of breast cancer in pregnancy. KM analysis and univariate Cox analysis showed that PLK1, UBE2C, UBE2T, TRIP13, RAD51 and TPX2 were risk genes for the recurrence of breast cancer in pregnancy [P <0. 05, hazard raiol(HR)>1], while STAT3 was a protective gene for the recurrence of breast cancer in pregnancy (P <0. 05, HR <1). UBE2C, TPX2, UBE2T, TRIP13, PLK1, RAD51, and STAT3 were identified as the key genes for recurrence of breast cancer in pregnancy. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of MTHFR C677T and A1298C genes as well as folate supplementation on the recurrence and improvement of ischemic stroke. Patients in the non-exposed group and exposed group were paired according to the principle of proximity of NIHSS scores, with 117 cases in each group, which were tested for MTHFR rs677 and rs1298 genotypes. A cohort study was carried out to inspect the correlation between MTHFR gene polymorphisms and folate supplementation with stroke recurrence within 1 year and the decline degree of NIHSS scores within 1 year. RESULTS: The distribution of each genotype of MTHFR in both groups was in accordance with the Hardy-Weinberg law of genetic equilibrium. Logistic analysis showed that recurrence within 1 year in stroke patients was associated with higher NIHSS scores at the first attack ( P = 0. 042, OR = 3. 193, 95% CI = 1. 104-9. 238 ), while it was not associated with MTHFR gene polymorphisms and folate supplementation during secondary prevention. Results of multivariate linear regression showed that the decline degree of NIHSS scores within 1 year in stroke patients was associated with carrying both MTHFR C677T and A1298C genes ( P = 0. 040, 95% CI = 0. 081-3. 178 ) and with the complication of hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy) at the first attack (P = 0. 046, 95%CI = 0. 021-4. 059), while it was not associated with folate supplementation during secondary prevention. CONCLUSIONS: Under the condition of conventional secondary prevention implementation, ischemic stroke recurrence is associated with the severity at the first attack and independent of MTHFR gene polymorphisms. To investigate the relationship between Yes-associated protein (YAP), nuclear matrix binding region binding protein 1 (SATB1), receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphanin receptor 2 (ROR2) of papillary thyroid carcinoma tissues and clinicopathological features and recurrence. 198 patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma who underwent surgical treatment in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine from June 2019 to June 2021 were selected, the resected cancer tissues and adjacent tissues were taken, and the expression of YAP, SATB1 and ROR2 proteins was detected by immunohistochemistry. After 2 years of follow-up, the recurrence was counted, and the patients were divided into recurrence group and non-recurrence group according to the recurrence. The differences of YAP, SATB1 and ROR2 protein expression between different clinicopathological features of papillary thyroid carcinoma were compared, the factors affecting postoperative recurrence of papillary thyroid carcinoma were analyzed by multivariate Cox regression analysis. The positive expression rates of YAP, SATB1 and ROR2 in cancer tissues were higher than those in adjacent tissues (P<0.05). The positive expression rates of YAP, SATB1 and ROR2 in cancer tissues of patients with low differentiation, TNM stage III and lymph node metastasis were higher than those in patients with moderate to high differentiation, TNM stage I～II and no lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). 198 patients were followed up for 2 years, 1 case was lost to follow-up, 21 cases recurred, and the recurrence rate was 10.66%. The positive expression rates of YAP, SATB1 and ROR2 in recurrence group were higher than those in the non-recurrence group (P<0.05). Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that low differentiation, TNM stage III, no lymph node cleaning, YAP positive expression, SATB1 positive expression, and ROR2 positive expression were risk factors for postoperative recurrence of papillary thyroid carcinoma (P<0.05). Background and purpose: According to current consensus, adverse high-risk pathological features are only associated with adjuvant therapy for stage II colorectal cancer (CRC). As important prognostic factors, we further explored the possibility of identifying patients with potential recurrence and poor prognosis based on these incorporating high-risk pathological features. Methods: This is a cohort study. A retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical data of CRC patients who underwent surgical treatment at the Second Department of Colorectal Surgery, Fudan University Affiliated Shanghai Cancer Center from 2008 to 2018. This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center (approval No.: 050432-4-2108*), and the study complies with the Declaration of Helsinki. A total of 9 875 patients were enrolled, including 5 859 males and 4 016 females, aged [M (IQR)] 60 (16) years (range: 16 to 94). Median follow-up time was 1 779.0 days [95% CI: 1 750.1-1 807.9]. We used the Kaplan-Meier method to plot survival curves for different groups. Cox multivariate analysis was used to identify independent risk factors for 5-year overall survival (OS), disease-free survival (DFS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS). Finally, a column chart model was constructed to evaluate and stratify patient prognosis. The Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) checklist was followed for this cohort study. Results: According to the number of incorporating high-risk pathological features, patients were divided into five groups: Hr_0 group (0 incorporating high-risk pathological feature), Hr_1 group (1 incorporating high-risk pathological feature), Hr_2 group (2 incorporating high-risk pathological features), Hr_3 group (3 incorporating high-risk pathological features), and Hr_4 group (4 or more incorporating high-risk pathological features). The Kaplan-Meier survival curve results indicated significant differences in OS, DFS and RFS among different groups (all P<0.001). Subgroup analysis was conducted on stage II colorectal cancer, and the survival curves of OS, DFS and RFS in different Hr groups overlapped with each other. Compared to the overall population, the survival differences in different groups were significantly reduced, indicating that stage II colon cancer patients with incorporating high-risk pathological features may benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy. The independent prognostic factors for RFS included age, pT stage, pN stage and Hr group. The survival curves of OS, DFS and RFS indicated that the prognosis of Hr_4 group was significantly worse than that of stage IIIc patients; 5.2% and 14.1% of stage I and II patients had two or more incorporating high-risk pathological features (Hr group≥2), respectively. Finally, a column chart model was constructed by incorporating the independent prognostic risk factors for CRC mentioned above. The calibration curve showed a good consistency between the actual observations and the predictions made by the nomogram, and the decision curve analysis (DCA) indicated that the model constructed in this study had good efficacy in stratifying recurrence. Conclusion: The number of incorporating high-risk pathological features is an independent prognostic factor for RFS in patients with stage I-III CRC. Combining it as a multiclass variable with age, pT and pN stage has good prognostic stratification and recurrence stratification efficacy, which is expected to guide clinical treatment. Objective To investigate the efficacy of keloid surgery combined with radiation therapy (radiotherapy) and the effects of surgical approach, the start time of radiotherapy, the dose of radiotherapy, the site of keloid growth, and whether or not to apply a medical silicone gel dressing (Barnes ＆ Noble) on keloid recurrence. Methods A total of 45 patients with keloid who admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to July 2021 were retrospectively analyzed and divided into the group A (surgery combined with conventional radiotherapy, 10 cases),the group B (surgery combined with macrodissected radiotherapy, 12 cases),group C (surgery alone, eight cases),and group D (surgery combined with Barnes ＆ Noble treatment, 15 cases) according to the different treatment modalities. The treatment modalities, clinical efficacy and recurrence factors of the four groups were retrospectively analyzed. Results There were two cases of recurrence in patients in group A (20. 00%),one case of recurrence in patients in group B (8. 33%),seven cases of recurrence in patients in group C (87. 50%),and 13 cases of recurrence in patients in group D (86. 67%) . The efficacy of surgery combined with radiotherapy was significantly better than that of the group without postoperative radiotherapy, and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0. 05) . Whether or not postoperative combined radiotherapy was the main influencing factor of keloid recurrence. Conclusion Compared with the non-radiotherapy group, surgery combined with radiotherapy can significantly increase the cure rate and decrease the recurrence rate of patients; whether or not to combine radiotherapy after surgery, and whether or not the scar is in the joint mobility area are the high-risk factors for keloid recurrence. Objective: To elucidate the primary elements pertaining to the perception of relapse risk and to investigate the characteristics and alterations of perception of the risk of recurrence in patients with schizophrenia. Methods: By using the method of phenomenological study, semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted among schizophrenic patients with first onset, first recurrence and multiple recurrences. Twenty-three 23 outpatient and inpatient cases that met the criteria of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) were included, and all patients had PANSS scores below 60. The interview data were collated and analyzed according to Colaizzi analysis. Results: The perception of recurrence risk in patients with schizophrenia encompassed 4 major themes and 11 sub-themes, namely susceptibility (limited overall understanding, transition from optimism to objectivity), detection of early warning symptoms (dynamic escalation, assistance from family members in identification), understanding risk factors (lack of understanding, the relationship between psychosocial factors and relapse, dynamic understanding of medication-relapse relationship), and apprehension of the consequences of recurrence (care burden and financial constraints, impaired social functioning and maladjustment, impact on public safety, personal health risks). Conclusion: The content of risk perception of recurrence in patients with schizophrenia is relatively substantial. Objective To investigate the relationships between serum microribonucleic acid (microRNA) -21, miR-126 expression and the activation of high mobility group protein B1（HMGB1) /Toll-like receptor 4（TLR4) signaling pathway and recurrence in patients with femoral-popliteal type lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans (LEASO) . Methods Totally 120 patients with femoral-popliteal type LEASO who underwent interventional operation were selected, and then they were divided into the recurrence group and non-recurrence group according to whether recurrence occurred or not. The expression of serum miR-21 and miR-126 and the expression of HMGB1 mRNA and TLR4 mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells were detected by RT-qPCR. The correlation between serum miR-21, miR-126 and the expression of HMGB1 mRNA and TLR4 mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of patients with femoral-popliteal type LEASO were analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. The influencing factors for recurrence after interventional therapy in patients with femoral-popliteal type LEASO were analyzed by multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Results All these patients were followed up for 2 years, and the recurrence rate was 34. 17%. Compared with the non-recurrence group, the expression of serum miR-21, HMGB1 mRNA and TLR4 mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells increased, and the expression of serum miR-126 decreased in the recurrence group (all P<0. 05) . Pearson correlation analysis showed that，serum miR-21 was positively correlated with the expression of HMGB1 mRNA and TLR4 mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (r=0. 660 and 0. 649, respectively； both P<0. 05), miR-126 was negatively correlated with the expression of HMGB1 mRNA and TLR4 mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (r=-0. 632 and-0. 641, respectively； both P< 0. 05), and HMGB1 mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells was positively correlated with TLR4 mRNA expression (r=0. 742，P<0. 05) . Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that, hypertension, diabetes, and increased miR21, HMGB1 mRNA, and TLR4 mRNA were independent risk factors for recurrence after interventional therapy in patients with femoral-popliteal type LEASO, and increased miR-126 was an independent protective factor (all P<0. 05) . Conclusion The high expression of serum miR-21 and the low expression of miR-126 in patients with femoral-popliteal type LEASO are related to the activation of HMGB1/TLR4 signaling pathway, which are independent influencing factors for recurrence after operation in patients with femoral-popliteal type LEASO. Objective To analyze the prognostic factors and the influence of surgical margin to prognosis. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed for 208 pelvic tumors who received surgical treatment from January 2000 to December 2017 in our instituition. Survival analysis was performed using the Kaplan-Meier method and Log rank test, and impact factor analysis was performed using Cox regression models. Results There were 183 initial patients and 25 recurrent cases. According to Enneking staging, 110 cases were stage ⅠB and 98 cases were stage ⅡB. 19 lesions were in zone Ⅰ, 1 in zone Ⅱ, 15 in zone Ⅲ, 29 in zone Ⅰ+Ⅱ, 71 in zone Ⅱ+Ⅲ, 29 in zone Ⅰ+Ⅳ, 35 in zone Ⅰ+Ⅱ+Ⅲ, 3 in zone Ⅰ+Ⅱ+Ⅳ, and 6 in zone Ⅰ+Ⅱ+Ⅲ+Ⅳ. Surgical margins including Intralesional excision in 7 cases, contaminated margin in 21 cases, marginal resection in 67 cases, and wide resection in 113 cases. Local recurrence occurred in 37 cases (17.8%), 25 cases were performed by reoperation and 12 cases received amputation finally. The 5-year recurrence rate of marginal resection was higher than wide resection (P＜0.05), and the recurrence-free survival rate of marginal resection was lower than wide resection (P＜0.05). There was significant differences in recurrence rate and recurrence-free survival rate between R0 and R1 resection (P＜ 0.05). 92 cases were not reconstructed and 116 cases were reconstructed after pelvic surgery. At the last follow-up, 63 patients (30.3%) died, and the 5-year, 10-year and 15-year survival rates were 70.4%, 66.8% and 61.3%, respectively. The 5-year survival rate of stage Ⅰ B and Ⅱ B tumor was 90.4% and 46.8%, respectively. There were 29 cases had postoperative wound complications (13.8%), 1 case with pelvic organ injury. The final function was evaluated in 132 patients, with an average MSTS score of 25.1±3.6. Cox multivariate analysis showed that surgical staging, R0/R1 margin and metastasis were independent prognostic factors for pelvic tumors. Conclusions The safe surgical margin is the key factor for recurrence-free of pelvic tumor. The survival rate of stage Ⅱ B pelvic tumors was significantly lower than that of stage ⅠB tumors. Objective: To investigate the value of systemic immune inflammatory index (SII) combine with serum CXC chemokine ligand 5 (CXCL5) and chemokine ligand 12 (CXCL12) in predicting recurrence in patients with high grade glioma (HGG) after operation. Methods: 169 patients with HGG who were underwent operation treatment in our hospital from January 2019 to January 2022 were selected. Neutrophil, lymphocyte, platelet count and serum CXCL5, CXCL12 levels were detected in patients with HGG, and SII was calculated before operation. Patients were followed up 1 year, patients with HGG were divided into recurrence group (113 cases) and non recurrence group (56 cases) according to the recurrence after operation. The influencing factors of recurrence in patients with HGG after operation were analyzed by multivariate Logistic regression analysis. The value of SII combine with serum CXCL5 and CXCL12 in predicting recurrence in patients with HGG after operation were analyzed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results: The levels of SII and serum CXCL5 and CXCL12 in recurrent group were higher than those in non recurrent group (P<0.05). The recurrence of patients with HGG after operation was related to age, KPS score before operation, WHO pathological grade, surgical resection range and after operation treatment (P<0.05), and not to gender (P>0.05). Multivariate logistic analysis showed that, WHO pathological grade IV, surgical resection range were incomplete resection, elevated SII, elevated serum CXCL5, and elevated CXCL12 were risk factors for recurrence in patients with HGG after operation (P<0.05). The area under the curve of SII, serum CXCL5 and CXCL12 alone in predicting recurrence of patients with HGG after operation was 0.820, 0.875 and 0.845, respectively, the area under the curve of combined detection was 0.964, which was higher than that of single index detection. Conclusion: Elevate SII, elevate serumCXCL5, and elevate CXCL12 in recurrence patients with HGG after operation, and WHO pathological grade IV, surgical resection range were incomplete resection are risk factor in recurrence patients with HGG after operation. Objective To compare the recurrence rates between 755 nm Q-switched alexandrite laser (QSAL) treatment and surgical excision of oral melanotic macules (OMM). Methods This study was reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee, and informed consent was obtained from the patients. A retrospective cohort study was designed to collect demographic and clinical characteristics and follow-up data from patients with OMM. Patients who received QSAL or surgical excision in the Department of Oral Medicine, Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from January 2019 to August 2021 were included. The one-year recurrence rate was investigated as the primary outcome. Long-term adverse reaction rates were investigated as safety indicators. Kaplan-Meier analyses were performed to analyze the recurrence-free rates between the groups. Results A total of 57 patients were enrolled in this study. 16 patients underwent surgical excision, and 41 underwent QSAL. The baseline demographic and clinical characteristics between the groups were not significantly different. No recurrence (0%) of OMM was observed in the surgical excision group, while in the QSAL group, the macule recurred in 12 patients (29.27%). The average duration of recurrence was 6.08 months after treatment. Recurrence was not found to be associated with smoking (P = 1.000), gastrointestinal polyps (P = 1.000), longitudinal melanonychia (P = 0.187), family history (P = 0.552), treatment sessions (P = 0.567) or multiple macule lesions (P = 0.497). Compared with treatment with surgical excision, the odds ratio of recurrence for treatment with QSAL was 4.41, with a 95% confidence interval of 1.27-15.24 (P = 0.020). In the surgical excision group, 3 patients (18.75%) reported depressions and scars on the lesion, while no long-term adverse reactions (0%) were reported in the QSAL group (P = 0.019). Conclusion Compared with surgical excision, the advantage of QSAL is the low long-term adverse reaction rate, while the disadvantage is the relatively high one-year recurrence rate. It is necessary to communicate the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods with OMM patients to assist in clinical decision-making.

Secondary hyperparathyroidism（SHPT） is one of the most common complications in uremia patients undergoing long-term hemodialysis treatment. SHPT patients after long-term dialysis treatment eventually developed into refractory SHPT. At this time, the effect of medical treatment is poor or even ineffective, and surgical treatment can make patients symptoms improve rapidly. At present, total parathyroidectomy+autologous transplantation（tPTX+AT） surgery is one of the main surgical methods for patients with refractory SHPT. However, in recent years, the rehabilitation management problem of patients with refractory SHPT after tPTX+AT surgery has become increasingly prominent, and how to reduce the recurrence rate is a difficult point in this field. This article summarizes and discusses the factors that may affect the recurrence after tPTX+AT surgery, so as to provide clinical ideas for clinicians to further improve the success rate of surgery, reduce the recurrence rate of surgery, improve the quality of life of patients after surgery, and strengthen the postoperative management. Objective: To investigate the efficacy of auto-cross-linked hyaluronic acid (ACP) gel in preventing adhesion recurrence after transcervical resection adhesion (TCRA) in patients with mild to moderate intrauterine adhesion (IUA) and its effect on reproductive outcomes. Methods: 188 patients with mild to moderate IUA who underwent TCRA in Fuxing Hospital of Capital Medical University from May 2020 to March 2021 were collected, and the recurrence rate of postoperative IUA, American Fertility Association (AFS) score, menstrual improvement and reproductive outcomes were observed in a single-center prospective randomized controlled manner, and the efficacy of ACP gel in preventing recurrence of IUA and its effect on reproductive outcomes were analyzed. The study group (84 cases) was received intrauterine injection of ACP gel + balloon stent at the end of surgery, and the control group (87 cases) only received balloon stent at the end of surgery. Results: 171 cases underwent the second and third hysteroscopies at 4 and 8 weeks after surgery, respectively. The recurrence rate of IUA in the study group was slightly lower than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (20.2% vs. 23.0%, 9.5% vs. 11.5%, both P＞0.05). There was no significant difference in AFS scores between the two groups (P＞0.05). There was no significant difference in menstrual improvement between the two groups at 12 weeks after surgery (P=0.630). More than one year after TCRA operation, there was no significant difference in pregnancy rate and live birth rate between the two groups (both P＞0.05). Conclusions: In patients with mild to moderate IUA, compared with balloon stent alone after TCRA, balloon stent combined with intrauterine injection of ACP gel did not reduce the recurrence rate and adhesion severity of IUA, nor could it promote the improvement of menstrual pattern and postoperative reproductive outcome. Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and postoperative follow-up of gliosarcoma (GSM). Methods The clinical data of 13 patients with GSM who underwent surgery at the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University from August 2012 to July 2020 were retrospectively analyzed, including basic clinical features, preoperative imaging features, and postoperative molecular pathological findings. Follow-up was performed, until the patient died. Results 8 male and 5 female patients with GSM were collected. The average age was 51.69 years old, ranging from 23 to 70 years old. The chief complaints of most patients were dizziness and headache, and the mainly located on the supratentorial region. Preoperative MRI showed that the lesions were mainly lumpy in T1WI and T2WI. T1 enhanced MRI revealed annular enhancement or irregular enhancement. All the pathological diagnosis after operation indicated both glioblastoma components and sarcoma components, and reticulofibers staining was positive, staining by positive cells of glial fibrillary acidic protein, vimentin, S-100 and Olig-2. Postoperative radiotherapy was 3 cases and temozolomide chemotherapy was 8 cases. Postoperative follow-up revealed recurrence in 5 cases, including 3 of primary focus recurrence, 1 of extracranial metastasis via cerebrospinal fluid, and 1 of metastasis to medulla oblongata and the fourth ventricle, with 8.47 months of the overall median survival. Conclusions GSM,mainly diagnosed by pathological features, was rare and relapsed easily. Objective To investigate the relationship between left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) diagnosed by Peguero-Lo-Presti index and recurrence of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF) after radiofrequency ablation. Methods A total of 652 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation who underwent radiofrequency ablation were selected. According to Peguero-Lo-Presti index, patients were divided into the LVH group (167 cases) and the normal left ventricle group (485 cases). Baseline data were collected, and regular follow-up was performed at 3, 6 and 12 months after radiofrequency catheter ablation. The recurrence of AF was assessed. Kaplan-Meier survival curve was used to analyze the recurrence rate of AF in the two groups. Cox proportional hazard model was used to assess risk factors for recurrent atrial fibrillation. Results The median follow-up time was 20.5 (15.0, 26.0) months. A total of 155 patients (23.8%) developed recurrence of AF, including 95 patients in the LVH group and 60 patients in the LVN group. The recurrence rate without AF was significantly lower in the LVH group than that in the LVN group (64.1% vs. 80.4%, Log-rank χ2 =26.361, P＜0.01). After adjusting for age, sex, body mass index, hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease, cardiac dysfunction, left anteroposterior and posterior atrial diameter, left ventricular end-diastolic diameter, and left ventricular ejection fraction, LVH diagnosed by Peguero-Lo-Presti index was still a risk factor for recurrent AF [HR (95%CI) : 2.359 (1.663-3.345), P＜ 0.01]. Objective To investigate the risk factors of relapse in patients with ischemic stroke using aspirin for single drug antiplatelet therapy. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 200 patients with mild and medium ischemic stroke after 12 months of single drug treatment with aspirin, and the patients were divided into non-recurrence group and recurrence group according to the recurrence of stroke. Univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression model were used to explore whether the related indicators were risk factors for recurrence.The ROC curve was used to predict the critical value of risk factors. Results Univariate analysis showed that platelet count, Hcy level and the A allele at rs12041331 site of PEAR1 gene were statistically significant risk factors (P < 0.05). Multifactor analysis showed that the independent risk factor for recurrence was homocysteine level [OR = 1.16 (1.089-1.240), P < 0.001)]. The critical value of ROC prediction was 8.35 µmol/L (sensitivity 0.847, specificity 0.532). Conclusions The Hcy level, platelet count and A allele at rs12041331 site of PEAR1 gene are risk factors for recurrence in patients with ischemic stroke treated with aspirin for Single drug antiplatelet therapy.Hcy level is independent risk factor and can be used to predict the risk of recurrence. Differentiated thyroid cancer usually has a good prognosis; however, recurrence occurs in 5% to 20% of patients after initial treatment, which causes physiopsychological and financial burdens for the patients. In the meantime, it complicates the treatment decision-making for clinicians. Different from initial treatment, the management of recurrent thyroid cancer should take comprehensive consideration of factors such as risks and benefits. Surgery is considered to be the first choice of treatment while radioactive iodine therapy is recommended for radioiodine-avid recurrent disease. Smaller lesions can be managed with active surveillance temporarily, and thermal ablation should only be applied to patients not suitable for additional surgery. Objective To investigate the risk factors related to the recurrence in patients with hemorrhagic stroke and to establish a corresponding risk prediction model to provide reference for reducing the recurrence rate of hemorrhagic stroke. Methods The patients with hemorrhagic stroke treated in the Department of Encephalopathy, the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Chinese Medicine from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2022 were included in the study. The clinical data of patients with recurrent hemorrhagic stroke were collected to explore the risk factors related to recurrence of hemorrhagic stroke. The original data were divided into modeling sequence and verification sequence by random grouping method, and the modeling sequence was analyzed by univariate and multivariate analyses and model construction. The C index, receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve, standard curve, and clinical decision curve were used to evaluate the discrimination, accuracy, and clinical utility of the model, and the prediction accuracy of the model was verified by verification sequence. Results A total of 1 571 patients with hemorrhagic stroke were included, including 253 patients with recurrent hemorrhagic stroke and 1 318 patients with initial hemorrhagic stroke. The original data set was constructed and randomly divided into modeling sequence and verification sequence according to 7:3 ratio. Logistic regression analysis showed that course of disease (OR=3.548, 95%CI: 2.852-4.415), smoking (OR=1.499, 95%CI: 1.136-1.978), drinking (OR=3.330, 95%CI: 2.356-4.709), male ( OR = 1 1.424, 95%CI: 1.006-2.016), hyperlipidemia ( OR = 4.372 95%CI: 2.227-8.584), cerebral infarction (OR= 2.254, 95%CI: 1.294-3.928), high density lipoprotein cholesterol ( OR = 2.034, 95%CI: 1.220-3.389), prothrombin time (OR= 1.103, 95%CI: 1.004-1.211), and homocysteine OR = 1.03 95%CI: 1.014-1.047) were the influencing factors of recurrence in patients with hemorrhagic stroke, and a risk prediction model was established. The area under the ROC curve of the modeling sequence and the verification sequence was 0.834 (95%CI: 0.810-0.859) and 0.842 (95%CI: 0.804-0.880), respectively, and the standard curves were highly consistent. The results of Hosmer Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test were P = 0.9 and P = 0.736 respectively, and the thresholds of clinical decision curves were < 0.9 and <0.95, respectively, indicating that the model had high discrimination, calibration, and clinical effectiveness. Conclusion Course of disease, smoking, drinking, sex, hyperlipidemia, cerebral infarction, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, prothrombin time and homocysteine are independent risk factors of hemorrhagic stroke. Objective: To investigate the correlation analysis of serum S100 calcium-binding protein（S100） A2 and S100A12 and inflammatory factors in active ulcerative colitis（UC） and their predictive value for recurrence. Methods: 102 active UC patients who were admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to January 2021 were selected as active stage group, patients were divided into recurrence group and non-recurrence group according to whether recurrence after 2 year, another 50 remission stage UC patients who came to the hospital for follow-up during the same period were selected as remission stage group, 50 healthy individuals undergoing physical examination were selected as control group. The levels of serum S100A2, S100A12 and inflammatory factors [C-reactive protein（CRP), interleukin-6（IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α（TNF-α）] were detected and compared among three groups. The correlation between serum S100A2, S100A12 and inflammatory factors in active UC patients were analyzed by Pearson/Spearman correlation, the influencing factors of recurrence of active UC were analyzed by univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analysis, the predictive value of serum S100A2 and S100A12 levels on the recurrence of active UC were analyzed by receiver operating characteristic curve. Results: The levels of serum S100A2, S100A12, CRP, IL-6 and TNF-α in control group, remission stage group and active stage group increased in turn（P＜0.05）.The serum levels of S100A2 and S100A12 in active UC patients were positively correlated with the levels of CRP, IL-6 and TNF-α（all P＜0.001）. Follow up for 2 year, the recurrence rate of 102 active UC patients was 56.86%（58/102）. Single factor analysis shows that,the severity of disease, CRP, IL-6, TNF-α, S100A2 and S100A12 were the influencing factors of recurrence in active UC patients（P＜0.05）.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that, the severity of the disease was severe and the increase of CRP, IL-6, TNF-α,S100A2 and S100A12 were independent risk factors of recurrence in active UC patients（P＜0.05）. The areas under the curve of serum S100 A2 and S100 A12 levels alone and in combination for predicting the recurrence of active UC were 0.782, 0.784 and 0.876 respectively, the predictive value of the combination of the two indicators in predicting the recurrence of active UC patients was greater than that of each indicator alone. Conclusion: Serum S100 A2 and S100 A12 are closely relate to the levels of inflammatory factors and recurrence active UC patients, and combination of serum S100A2 and S100A12 has a high value in predicting the recurrence of active UC patients. Background The rates of first and multiple recurrence of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are increasing annually worldwide, and the risk of early recurrence is higher than the distant recurrence. There are numerous risk factors for DFUs recurrence, and there is a lack of systematic screening. Therefore, there is a need to explore the risk factors for DFUs recurrence in order to identify high-risk population of recurrence at an early stage. Objective To explore the predictive value of Logistic regression (LR), support vector machine (SVM), BP neural network model (BPNN) in the recurrence risk of DFUs. Methods From January 2020 to October 2021, a total of patients with DFUs attending the Department of Burn Plastic Surgery, Endocrinology and Wound Ostomy Outpatient Department in General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University were selected as the research objects and divided into the recurrence group (n=116, 29.7%) and non-recurrence group (n=274, 70.3%) according to the recurrence of DFUs within 1 year after discharge. General information was collected and compared between the two groups of patients, including sociodemographic characteristics, medical history assessment and clinical case information. The Diabetes Foot Self-care Behavior Scale (DFSBS) was used to assess the self-management behavior of diabetes foot in patients and chronic diseases risk perception questionnaire was used to assess the risk perception level of DFUs among patients. Multivariable Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of DFUs recurrence in patients within 1 year after discharge. The patients were divided into training and test sets according to the ratio of 7 to 3, the LR, SVM and BPNN recurrence risk prediction models were developed based on Logistic regression variable screening strategy. Objective To explore the clinical characteristics and burr-hole drainage efficacy of the patients with acute-on-chronical subdural hematoma (acSDH) .Methods The clinical data of 185 patients with chronical subdural hematoma (CSDH) admitted to Renji Hospital, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University from April 2019 to December 2022 were analyzed retrospectively.The clinical characteristics and burr-hole drainage efficacy of 22 acSDH patients were analyzed.Results The incidence rate of acSDH was 11.89％.Compared with patients of CSDH without acute hemorrhage, the acSDH patients had clinical characteristics of lower admitting Glasgow coma scale (GCS), larger hematoma thickness and higher hematoma computer tomography (CT) score (all P＜0.05) .There was no significant difference about duration of drainage, hospitalization time, modified Rankin Scale (mRS) of discharge, 3-month rebleeding rate, recurrence of reoperation rate and 1-year follow-up mortality (all P＞0.05) .However, there was significant difference about frequency of using urokinase and occurring complication of post-operation cranial hemorrhage between groups with or without acute hemorrhage (both P＞0.05) .Conclusions acSDH is a special type of CSDH.Burr-hole drainage with using urokinase is an effective therapeutic method for treating acSDH. Objective: To investigate the relationship between preoperative trefoil factor 3 (TFF3）, heat shock protein 40 (HSP40）,neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and recurrence after tumor cell reduction surgery (CRS) in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC）. Methods: 140 EOC patients who received CRS treatment in Department of Gynecology of Nanjing Second Hospital from January2016 to May 2017 were selected, and they were divided into recurrent group and non recurrent group based on whether they recurred after CRS. Serum TFF3, HSP40, and NLR were detected and calculated. Single factor and multivariate logistic regression were used to analyze the influencing factors of recurrence after CRS in EOC patients, and the predictive value of recurrence after CRS in EOC patients were analyzed by Subjects’ Job Characteristics (ROC) Curve. Results: Following up for 5 years, 2 cases were lost and 138 EOC patients had a recurrence rate of 52.90% (73/138) after CRS. Compared with the non recurrence group, the recurrence group had a higher proportion of International Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FIGO) stage IV, chemotherapy courses ≥6, and postoperative residual lesions with a maximum residual tumor diameter of ≤1 cm (R1）. The preoperative serum carbohydrate antigen (CA) 125, TFF3,HSP40, and NLR were increased (P＜0.05）. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that tumor diameter ≥3 cm, low differentiation, FIGO stage IV, residual lesions of R1 and TFF3 after surgery, HSP40, and increased NLR were independent risk factors for recurrence after CRS in EOC patients (P＜0.05）. ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) of preoperative serum TFF3, HSP40, and NLR alone and in combination predicted recurrence after CRS in EOC patients were 0.766, 0.763, 0.765, and0.911, respectively. The AUC of preoperative serum TFF3, HSP40, and NLR combined predicted recurrence after CRS in EOC patients was the highest. Conclusion: Elevated levels of preoperative serum TFF3, HSP40, and NLR are independently associated with postoperative recurrence in EOC patients with CRS, and may serve as auxiliary predictive indicators for postoperative recurrence in EOC patients. Objective: To investigate the predictive value of quantitative parameters of contrast-enhanced ultrasound combined with carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) for recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer after modified radical mastectomy. Methods: 120 patients with breast cancer who underwent modified radical mastectomy in our hospital were selected from December 2020 to January 2022. All patients underwent breast CEUS to obtain contrast-enhanced images and quantitative CEUS parameters. Serum CEA levels and NLR were measured, and the incidence of recurrence and metastasis after surgery were statistically analyzed. The ROC curve of subjects was used to analyze the value of quantitative parameters of contrast-enhanced ultrasound combined with CEA and NLR in predicting the recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer after modified radical mastectomy. Results:Compared the preoperative sonographic features of the two groups, the recurrent metastasis group showed slightly higher enhancement intensity, most of which were hyperenhanced or globally enhanced, and the contrast agent distribution was not yet uniform. The results showed that 18 patients experienced postoperative recurrence and metastasis (in the recurrence and metastasis group）. The peak intensity (PI) of the recurrence and metastasis group was higher than that of the non recurrence and metastasis group, and the serum CEA level and NLR were higher than those of the non recurrence and metastasis group. The time to peak (TTP) was lower than that of the non recurrence and metastasis group (P＜0.05）. The area under the curve (AUC) predicted by PI, TTP, CEA and NLR for recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer after modified radical mastectomy were 0.693, 0.764, 0.763 and 0.781, and the AUC predicted by PI, TTP, CEA and NLR for recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer after modified radical mastectomy was 0.909, which was greater than that predicted by each index alone. Conclusion: In patients with recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer after modified radical mastectomy, contrast-enhanced ultrasound parameters PI increased and TTP decreased, serum CEA and NLR increased. Objective To investigate the relationships between serum microRNA-370-3p (miR-370-3p) and anoctamin 1 (ANO1) expression and the pathological characteristics of colon cancer and recurrence after laparoscopic surgery. Methods Ninety-four cases of colon cancer patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery (the colon cancer group), 50 cases of colon polyp patients (the benign lesion group), and 50 cases of healthy individuals (the control group) were selected. Real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to detect serum miR-370-3p and ANO1 mRNA expression of each group. Patients were followed up for 3 years after laparoscopic surgery; there were 31 cases of recurrence (recurrence group) and 63 cases of non-recurrence (non recurrence group). Online website TargetScan was used to predict the targeting relationship between miR-370-3p and ANO1, and Pearson correlation method was used to analyze the correlation between serum miR-370-3p and ANO1 mRNA expression in colon cancer patients. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors for postoperative recurrence in colon cancer patients after laparoscopic surgery. The value of serum miR-370-3p and ANO1 mRNA in predicting postoperative recurrence in colon cancer patients was analyzed using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Results The expression of serum miR-370-3p in the colon cancer group was lower than that in the benign lesion group and control group (both P<0. 05), and the expression of ANO1 mRNA was higher than that in the benign lesion group and control group (both P<0. 05). There were no statistically significant differences in serum miR-370-3p or ANO1 mRNA between the benign lesion group and the control group (both P> 0. 05). The online website TargetScan predicted that there were binding sites between miR-370-3p and ANO1 at 649-655 and 676-682, and there was a negative correlation between the expression of miR-370-3p and ANO1 mRNA in the colon cancer patients (r = -0. 609, P<0. 05). There were significant differences in serum miR-370-3p and ANO1 mRNA expression levels among patients with different degrees of differentiation, TNM stage, plasma membrane invasion, and lymph node metastasis (all P<0. 05). TNM stage III-IV, plasma membrane invasion, lymph node metastasis, and ANO1 mRNA≥ 1. 64 were independent risk factors for recurrence after laparoscopy, and miR-370-3p≥0. 74 was an independent protective factor (all P<0. 05). Objective To investigate the effect of zoledronic acid on the recurrence of osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture (OVCF) after vertebroplasty. Methods One hundred and fifty-two patients with OVCF were retrospectively collected. According to postoperative zoledronic acid infusion, patients were divided into the zoledronic acid group (68 cases) and the control group (84 cases). The visual analogue scale (VAS) score and bone mineral density (BMD) T value were recorded before operation and at 3, 6 and 12 months after operation. Serum procollagen type I N-terminal peptide (P1NP) and β-collagen degradation products (β-CTX) were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The patients were followed up for 2 years to record the occurrence of vertebral fracture. Results Compared with the control group, BMD T value was significantly increased, VAS score was decreased, β-CTX and P1NP were decreased at 3, 6 and 12 months after operation in the zoledronic acid group (P＜0.05). Two years after operation, the recurrence rate of vertebral fracture was lower in the zoledronic acid group (5/84, 5.95%) than that in the control group (11/68, 16.18%) (X² =4.171, P＜0.05). Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is a primary malignant tumor of the liver, secondary to hepatocellular carcinoma, and its incidence tends to elevate worldwide. Hepatectomy is the optimal surgical regimen for ICC patients. ICC is considered as a contraindication for liver transplantation due to high tumor recurrence rate and poor survival outcome. At present, multiple significant progresses have been made in liver transplantation for ICC. For strictly)selected ICC patients, liver transplantation or liver transplantation after neoadjuvant therapy has achieved encouraging survival outcomes. Meantime, with the improvement of prognostic risk stratification of liver transplantation for ICC, the inclusion criteria of ICC candidates undergoing liver transplantation will be further optimized. In addition, the advancement of modern multi-mode comprehensive treatment of ICC will further guide the selection of neoadjuvant therapy before liver transplantation for ICC. The application of immune checkpoint inhibitors in ICC before liver transplantation is also an important research direction in the future. In this article, clinical prognosis of liver transplantation for ICC, prognostic risk factors and inclusion criteria of ICC candidates undergoing liver transplantation, and the ongoing trials and existing challenges were summarized, aiming to provide reference for liver transplantation for ICC and improve the quality of life for ICC patients. Menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) is an effective treatment for alleviating menopausal syndrome, and 18.16% of perimenopausal women are receiving MHT treatment at present. Most gynecological malignancies are hormone-dependent, so the safety and efficacy of MHT in women with menopausal syndrome and those women with gynecological malignancies combined with menopausal syndrome are still controversial. For the menopausal syndrome patients without gynecological malignancies, reasonable selection of estrogen therapy may reduce the risk of ovarian cancer, and selection of MHT containing progesterone may reduce the risk of endometrial cancer and cervical cancer. As for epithelial ovarian cancer, early endometrial cancer, cervical squamous cell carcinoma, vaginal squamous cell carcinoma and vulvar squamous cell carcinoma, reasonable selection of MHT regimen may not increase the risk of recurrence, while may prolong the survival. By reviewing the MHT guidelines and the related clinical studies issued globally in recent years, we discuss how to rationally select MHT regimens to reduce the risk of gynecological malignancies in women with menopausal syndrome, how to reduce the recurrence risk of patients with gynecological malignancies combined with menopausal syndrome, and how to improve the survival rate of patients with gynecological malignant tumors. To discuss the risk factors of recurrence of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC), and to provide the reference for the individualized diagnosis and treatment of PTMC. Methods The retrieval time was limited from the establishment to April 2022, and the case-control studies related to PTMC recurrence searched in PubMed, EMBase, Elsevier Science Direct and Web of Science Databases were collected.Review Manager 5.4 software was used to perform the Meta-analysis and ADDIS 1.16.8 software was used to make the Bayesian network Meta-analysis, and the risk factors of PTMC recurrence were screened out and ranked. Results Fourteen studies were included, involving 7 834 PTMC patients who underwent surgical treatment, 302 patients experienced lymphnode recurrence, local thyroid bed recurrence, or distant metastasis recurrence. Age, multifocality, tumor size, extrathyroidal invasion, lymphnode metastasis, and vascular invasion of the patients were related to the PTMC recurrence (P<0.05) Lymphnode metastasis was the most significant risk factor for the PTMC recurrence, followed by vascular invasion, and multifocality was the least significant risk factor. There were no significant correlations between gender, lesion histopathological background, gland histopathological background, radioactive iodine treatment, surgical margin, and the extent of thyroidectomy with PTMC recurrence (P>0.05). Conclusion Lymphnode metastasis, vascular invasion, tumor size>5 mm, age, extrathyroidal invasion, and multifocality are the risk factors for the PTMC recurrence. The clinician may consider to treat the PTMC patients with routine central lymphnode dissection to prevent disease recurrence, and develop the individualized treatment plans based on the risk factor stratification. Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of microneedle radiofrequency combined with minocycline hydrochloride in the treatment for facial moderate and severe acne. Methods From January 2022 to December 2022, 65 patients with moderate to severe acne were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group in the dermatology outpatient department of Zibo Maternal and Child Health Hospital.The control group (n=35) was given oral minocycline hydrochloride for 6 weeks for moderate to severe acne; the treatment group (n=30) was given oral minocycline hydrochloride for 6 weeks, and microneedle radiofrequency therapy was conducted once.Photos were taken before treatment, 2 weeks, 6 weeks and 12 weeks after the treatment. The global acne grading system (GAGS) was adopted to evaluate the efficacy and compare the scores between the two groups. The inflammatory lesion count was calculated, any related adverse reactions and acne recurrence were recorded during the follow-up care. Results After 6 weeks of treatment, the effective rate of the treatment group (86.6%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (62.8%); the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment and during follow-up care, GAGS score and inflammatory lesion count were improved in both groups, and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). At 12 weeks of follow-up care, the recurrence rate in the treatment group (19.2%) was significantly lower than that in the control group (54.5%), the difference being statistically significant (P<0.05). The two groups had no obvious adverse reactions during the treatment and follow-up care. Growing teratoma syndrome (GTS) is a rare disease that occurs in patients with immature teratoma (IMT) or mixed malignant germ cell tumors. Its characteristics are that during adjuvant chemotherapy or after chemotherapy after surgery treatment, the tumor markers are normal, the residual lesions of surgery are enlarged or other masses appear, and the postoperative pathological examination only shows mature teratoma tissue, without malignant germ cells. Complete surgical resection is the preferred option for the treatment for GTS, while immunoregulation, chemotherapy, and radiofrequency can stop the disease progression. The diagnosis of this disease is clear, but the incidence is low, and it is easy to be misdiagnosed as malignant tumor recurrence. A case of ovarian GTS after IMT is reported. Objective To investigate the effect of Qingre Lidan granules in preventing the recurrence of choledocholithiasis after laparoscopy combined with choledochoscopy through a retrospective cohort study. Methods A total of 337 inpatients with choledocholithiasis (including those with cholecystolithiasis at the same time) who underwent laparoscopy combined with choledochoscopic lithotomy in The First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2020 were enrolled, and related clinical data were collected. According to the follow－up results, the patients were divided into exposure group (conventional treatment+Qingre Lidan granules) with 225 patients and non－exposure group (conventional treatment) with 112 patients. The recurrence of choledocholithiasis and the administration of Qingre Lidan granules were recorded in detail for both groups. The recurrence rate of choledocholithiasis and the time to recurrence were observed for both groups, and the risk factors for the recurrence of choledocholithiasis were analyzed. The independent－ samples t test was used for comparison of normally distributed continuous data between two groups, and the Mann－Whitney U test was used for comparison of non－normally distributed continuous data between two groups； the chi－square test or the Fisher’s exact test was used for comparison of categorical data between two groups. The Kaplan－Meier curve was used to estimate the cumulative probability of choledocholithiasis recurrence in the two groups, and the Log－rank test was used for comparison between two groups. Results A total of 26 patients experienced the recurrence of choledocholithiasis after laparoscopy combined with choledochoscopy, with 12 patients (5.33%) in the exposure group and 14（12.5%) in the non－ exposure group, and the exposure group had a significantly lower recurrence rate than the non－exposure group (χ2 =5.394, P=0.020). The exposure group had a significantly longer mean time to the recurrence of choledocholithiasis than the non－exposure group (40.1±26.7 months vs 19.2±13.5 months, t=2.383, P=0.017). The Kaplan－Meier curve analysis showed that the non－ exposure group had a significantly higher cumulative recurrence rate than the exposure group in different periods of time (P<0.05). The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that common bile duct diameter ≥14 mm (odds ratio 〔OR〕=2.935, P=0.031) and multiple calculi (OR=2.911, P=0.029) were independent risk factors for the recurrence of choledocholithiasis after laparoscopy combined with choledochoscopic lithotomy. Conclusion Qingre Lidan granules can effectively reduce the recurrence rate of choledocholithiasis and prolong the time to the recurrence of choledocholithiasis after laparoscopy combined with choledochoscopy and has a certain clinical effect in preventing the recurrence of choledocholithiasis after surgery. Objective To study the relationship between P wave dispersion (Pd) and early or late recurrence of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation ( AF) after radiofrequency ablation, and to explore its predictive value on the recurrence. Methods We selected 181 patients with paroxysmal AF who had undergone radiofrequency ablation of AF. All the postoperative patients were followed up for an average of (9.3±2.9) months, and the recurrence time was recorded. Twelve-lead electrocardiogram examination was performed at sinus rhythm separately before operation, and 1 month, 3 months and 6 months after operation. P wave duration was measured and Pd was calculated. The relativity between Pd and early or late recurrence of AF after radiofrequency ablation was analyzed. Results Early recurrence is defined as the onset of AF or atrial flutter≤3 months after radiofrequency ablation; late recurrence is defined as the onset of AF or atrial flutter more than 3 months after ablation. The early recurrence rate of paroxysmal AF after ablation is 11.6% (21/181) while the late recurrence rate is 17.7% (32/181). The difference of Pd is statistically significant between the early recurrence group and the non-early-recurrence group separately before ablation and one month after operation (P<0.05). There is a significant difference in Pd between the late recurrence group and the non-late-recurrence group 6 months after operation ( P < 0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression results show that Pd before ablation and 1 month after ablation is an independent risk factor for early recurrence after ablation of AF while Pd 6 months after ablation is an independent risk factor for late recurrence after AF ablation.
