Objective To summarize the experience and effect using 3D parametric surface planar topological guide plate technology in fenestrated/branched endovascular aortic repair (F/B EVAR) to repair aortic arch and thoracoabdominal aortic lesions involving important aortic branches. Methods From August 2020 through April 2022, 17 patients [14 males and 3 females, mean age of(61.06±11.23)(39-78) years] with complex aortic lesions involving important branches were treated in both Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital and Union Hospital. There were 8 cases with aortic arch aneurysms 4 cases and dissections 4 cases, respectively, and 9 cases with thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms 5 cases and dissections 4 cases, respectively. Six cases were urgent operation and 11 cases were selective operation. Before operation, 3D parametric surface planar topological guide plate was made according to aortic computed tomography angiography. Under the guidance of planar guide plate, pre-fenestrated and external/internal branched and other endovascular aortic repair was performed. Totally, 50 fenestrated/branched stent grafts were planted. Results All operations were completed without conversion to open surgery. Average operative time was (4.57±2.29)(1.50-10.67) h. There was no renal insufficiency, paraplegia and loss of branch arteries. One patient (5.88%) died during perioperative period. Within the follow-up, there were 2 cases (11.76%) of endoleak type Ⅰc and type Ⅲc, respectively. Conclusions F/B EVAR under the guidance of 3D parametric surface planar topological guide plate is a minimally invasive treatment. The technology is more accurate than traditional measurement and positioning, faster than 3D printing guidance, and safe and reliable shown in the follow-up.

BackgroundAs a common disease causing human health impairment and disability, deafness has a leading morbidity among all the disabling diseases. Many factors could lead to deafness, among which genetic factors account for about 60%. Gene screening and pedigree analysis can be used to determine whether one has hereditary deafness, so as to provide corresponding genetic counseling services for hereditary deafness patients to stop the transmission of deafness from one generation to the next.ObjectiveTo investigate the hearing loss status and prevalence of mutations in genes associated with deafness in deafness patients from Shandong, to identify pathogenic causes of hearing impairment.MethodsOur study included a total of 5 664 hearing-impaired patients with a hearing disability certificate or a diagnosis of hearing loss, who participated in the genetic testing program for hereditary hearing loss in Shandong Province from 2016 to 2020. Hearing loss was tested by pure-tone audiometry. Genetic testing was carried out with DNA microarray to detect mutations at 15 loci in four common hereditary deafness-related genes.ResultsAmong the 5 664 cases, 3 891 had grade 1 (mild) hearing disability, 1 463 had grade 2 (moderate) hearing disability, 188 had grade 3 (severe) hearing disability, 73 had grade 4 (profound) hearing disability, and the remaining 49 consisting of 38 cases of microtia and 11 cases of external auditory canal closure. In terms of deafness-related gene mutations, 2 503 cases were detected with mutations, 1 227 of them (21.66%) carrying GJB2 gene mutations, 975 (17.21%) carrying SLC26A4 gene mutations, 97 (1.71%) carrying mitochondrial 12S rRNA gene mutations, 158 (2.79%) carrying GJB3 gene mutations, and 46 (0.81%) carrying double heterozygous mutations. Both GJB2 and SLC26A4 gene mutations were hotspot mutations in patients with grades 1-4 hearing disability. Information-centric networking (ICN) introduces in-network caching mechanism to enable routers to have content caching function, changing the network from IP addressing to content name addressing, aiming to better provide services for content distribution applications. However, interest flooding attack (IFA) will lead to the exhaustion of router resources and make it discard a large number of legitimate interest packets, thus becoming the “bane” of ICN security. Combined with human immune defense theory, a two-stage ICN secure routing mechanism is proposed to resist interest flooding attacks. During the immunization time, non-specific immunization is completed through immune feedback and isolation strategy to prevent the pending interest table (PIT) of the router from being maliciously occupied. However, non-specific immunity cannot alleviate persistent IFA attacks, so further specific immunity is completed through backtracking strategy to form immune memory and completely block interest flooding attacks. Experimental results show that the proposed routing mechanism can effectively resist interest flooding attacks, reduce resource depletion and invalid computation caused by attacks, and ensure network performance.

In response to the issues of low accuracy and slow speed in multi-scale, small target detection for fabric defect detection, a fabric defect detection algorithm based on improved YOLOv7 model was proposed. The standard convolutional blocks were replaced in the feature extraction network of YOLOv7, deformable convolution fusion with more receptive fields was used to sample more closely to the shape and size characteristics of defects. Simultaneously, a bottleneck attention module was embedded to capture more defect features and enhance sensitivity to small targets. Through experiments, the improved model achieved an average detection precision of 97.3% for various categories of samples. Compared to the original YOLOv7 algorithm, the precision was increased by 5.2 percentage points, the recall rate was increased by 5.9 percentage points and mAP@0.5 was increased by 14.3 percentage points. An attractive type of nanofiller-carbon nanofiber (CNF) was used to modify High-density Polyethylene (HDPE) and polymer blends (UH-HDPE) of HDPE and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), and two-phase and three-phase nanocomposites were prepared via a two-step process including melt mixing and hot press. The effects of CNF addition and their dispersion on the dielectric properties of nanocomposites were investigated. The results show that CNFs are well dispersed in HDPE matrix, while they are not permeated into the UHMWPE. It is demonstrated that CNFs are distributed homogenously in two-phase CNF/HDPE composites and heterogeneously in three-phase CNF/UH-HDPE composites. The dielectric constant of nanocomposites is dramatically improved with higher CNF content. The highest dielectric constant in CNF/HDPE composites, 190 at 102 Hz, is achieved with CNFs above 10% (mass fraction, the same as below), which is about 50 times higher than that of pure HDPE. Simultaneously, the dielectric constant of CNF/HDPE composites shows high dependence on the frequency due to the existence of CNFs, compared with the independent dielectric constant of pure HDPE. The influence of CNFs on the dielectric constant of CNF/UH-HDPE composites is similar to that of CNF/HDPE composites. However, the dielectric constant of three-phase composites is higher than that of two-phase counterparts with the same CNF addition. Additionally, no obvious dielectric loss is exhibited in both nanocomposites with CNF concentration under 5%.

With the increase of the operation environment requirements for aero-engine, the thermal barrier coating technology is difficult to satisfy the development requirement of aero-engine in the aspects of thermo-physical properties and thermo-stability. The preparation techniques of thermal barrier coating, design and selection of thermal barrier coating material, and failure mechanism of thermal barrier coating are introduced. The up-to-date research of material for better thermo-physical properties and better performance in CMAS(CaO-MyO-Al2O3-SiO2) resistance are discussed, which provide a direction for further research on thermal barrier coatings.

The first-principle pane wave pseudopotential method in GGA-PBE generalized gradient approximation is aphid to study the lattice parameters, electronic properties and mechanical properties of hydrogen storage alloy LaNi4Ge under different pressures. The results show that the lattice parameters of LaNi4Ge compound decrease with the increase of pressure, and is a-axles is more easily compressed than taxes. There are no signal cant trend changes in the total density of states, the Fermi energy level decreases with the increase of pressure, and is hardness increases with the increase of pressure. The elastic properties show that the material is decisive in the pressure range, and the elastic constant Cu and elastic modulus E increase further with the increase of pressure, and maintain the mechanical stability in a certain pressure range. The selection of proper rootstock is the premise and basis of grafted tomato cultivation. This paper studied the effects of different rootstocks on survival rate, seedling growth, yield and fruit quality of grafted tomato, in order to give a basis for selecting proper tomato rootstocks. The tomato cultivar used as scion was 'Jiangshu 14', cleft grafting method was applied, and the cultivars used as rootstocks were 'Gailiangqingyuan' 'Xinzhen 2' 'Guozhen 1' 'Qinhe' 'Kezhen 1' and 'Kezhen 2'. A randomized complete block design was adopted, with three replications, each consisting of 15 plants, and the non-grafted 'Jiangshu 14' was used as the control. And then the 6 representative grafted plants selected from each treatment were labeled and grown in pots filled with substrate. The plant growth measurements were recorded after 56 days of grafting, and the fruit quality and yield measurements were recorded on ripe fruits. Our results showed that significant higher survival rate was obtained in the plants grafted onto rootstock 'Qinhe' and 'Gailiangqingyuan', which was 63.33% and 60.00%, respectively. The lowest survival rate was obtained from rootstock 'Kezhen 1', which was 36.67%. Grafting significantly improved the stem diameter, leaf area and total dry weight, while, significantly decreased the ratio of root to shoot, and better results on promoting seedling growth were obtained from rootstock 'Xinzhen 2' 'Guozhen 1' and 'Gailiangqingyuan'. There was significant increase in total fruit yield of plants grafted onto rootstocks as compared with the control. Up to 254.5% increase of total yield per plant was obtained with rootstock 'Guozhen 1' and 221.7% with rootstock 'Gailiangqingyuan'. Using grey correlation analysis method, the effect of different rootstocks on fruit quality was researched. The results showed that the highest values were found in rootstock 'Guozhen 1', followed by rootstock 'Gailiangqingyuan' and 'Qinhe', and negative effects were found in rootstock 'Xinzhen 2' 'Kezhen 1' and 'Kezhen 2'. The study showed that rootstock choices influence survival rate, seedling growth as well as yield and quality of scion fruit. According to the comprehensive evaluation, 'Gailiangqingyuan' and 'Guozhen 1' not only contributed to a high survival rate, but also could significantly promote seedling growth, increase yield and improve fruit quality, which are considered proper rootstocks that can be used for grafting of tomato. In order to control the ground temperature and relative humidity inside pigpens, the solar piggery with tunnel ventilation was adopted in this study. Pigs usually lay down for more than 70% of the time. The environmental control, especially the temperature control at where they lie down (e.g. floor, bed) is crucial in improving the pigs' performance. This study took the piggery as the research object, using additional solar radiation for the pig beds between the sun and piggery in Changchun. Information on major structures of both the experimental piggery and the control is listed below. The dimensions are 61 m in length, 8.1 m in width, and 3.42 m in height, and the orientation is facing south. The difference between the experimental piggery and the control is that the experimental piggery is mainly divided into two parts, the extra sunspace and itself, which is separated by a common wall. The common wall is a solid wall with a ventilation window and it is covered with an insulating layer during cold seasons. The extra sunspace is arch-shaped, constructed with lightweight steel, and also is covered with an insulating layer during cold seasons. In the experimental piggery, there are 28 units under the pig beds. Each unit 3 500 mm long and 1 970 mm wide and also has its own independent air intake, outlet, and closed airflow tunnel. The positive pressure ventilation axial airflow fan is installed at the air intake in the experimental piggery. The negative pressure ventilation draught fan is fixed at the air outlet. The floor in the control piggery is composed of a cement mortar slope layer, soil compaction, and cement mortar layer. Both experimental barn and control barn housed 275 growing-finishing pigs with mean initial live weight of 28.7±2.2 kg. The pigs were in the growing and fattening stage. With respect to the manner of the tunnel ventilation in the solar piggery, the positive and negative pressure ventilations as well as the fan working at different conditions was applied in experiments. During winter, with temperature about -13°C, the average air temperature inside the piggery was 3.0°C, which was higher than that in the control pig house, while the relative humidity was reduced by 4%, on average. On the floor 2 m away from the air inlet of the experimental house, the average daytime temperature using axial fans was higher than that with natural ventilation and using induced draft fans by 0.7°C and 1.5°C, respectively, while the corresponding nighttime temperature was higher by 1.1°C and 2.9°C, on average. On the floor 1 m away from the air inlet of the experimental house, the average daytime temperature using axial fans was higher than with natural ventilation and using induced draft fans by 3.6°C and 3.8°C, respectively, while the corresponding nighttime temperature was higher by 6.4°°C and 6.9°C, on average. It can be concluded that using a tunnel ventilation system combined with solar energy utilization can greatly increase the floor temperature and decrease the indoor relative humidity simultaneously in the pig house. Objective The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) and the pathological changes in the carotid artery after periodontal mechanical therapy with local and systemic drugs in SD rats with chronic periodontitis (CP) associated with atherosclerosis (As). Methods Thirty-five SD rats were randomly divided into two groups: control group (group A) and CP+As group (group B). Group B was further divided into the natural process group (Bl), the periodontal mechanical treatment group (B2), the periodontal mechanical treatment plus local drugs group (B3), and the periodontal mechanical treatment plus local and systemic drugs group (B4). Each group comprised seven rats. Serum hsCRP levels were evaluated at baseline 1 week after the first periodontal therapy and 1, 3, and 5 weeks after the second periodontal therapy by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The pathological lesion in the carotid artery plaque was stained with hematine and eosin. Results The levels of serum hsCRP in group Bl increased gradually as time passed and became significantly higher than that of the other groups five weeks after periodontal therapy (P<0.001). The levels of serum hsCRP in groups B2, B3, and B4 increased gradually and reached the peak 1 week after the second periodontal therapy. After that, the levels of serum hsCRP decreased gradually but were still higher than that of group A (P<0.05). The levels of serum hsCRP in groups B3 and B4 were significantly lower than that in group B2 3 and 5 weeks after the second periodontal therapy (P<0.001). Histologic sections revealed increased foam cell infiltration and disordered and destructed elastic fibers in groups Bl and B2. The thickness of the blood vessels in groups B3 and B4 was more uniform than that in groups Bl and B2. The elastic fibers in groups B3 and B4 were lined up in order. Conclusion Direct periodontal mechanical treatment results in acute, short-term, systemic inflammation and might increase the risk of atherosclerosis in SD rats. However, the levels of serum hsCRP decreased gradually 3 to 5 weeks after therapy. With periodontal mechanical treatment, the benefits of local and systemic drugs are associated with improvement in atherosclerotic lesion progression. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Natural plant-derived diterpenoids are a class of compounds with diverse structures and functions. These compounds are widely used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food additives industries because of their pharmacological properties such as anticancer, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial activities. In recent years, with the gradual discovery of functional genes in the biosynthetic pathway of plant-derived diterpenoids and the development of synthetic biotechnology, great efforts have been made to construct a variety of diterpenoid microbial cell factories through metabolic engineering and synthetic biology, resulting in gram-level production of many compounds. This article summarizes the construction of plant-derived diterpenoid microbial cell factories through synthetic biotechnology, followed by introducing the metabolic engineering strategies applied to improve plant-derived diterpenoids production, with the aim to provide a reference for the construction of high-yield plant-derived diterpenoid microbial cell factories and the industrial production of diterpenoids.

A simple, sensitive, and stable high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) method was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of leucovorin and 5-methyltetrahydrofolate diastereomers in human plasma using methotrexate as the internal standard. The analytes and the internal standard were extracted from plasma samples by simple ultrafiltration centrifugation-based extraction. The separation was achieved on a chiral HSA column (150 mm×4 mm, 5 μm) using mobile phases containing 10 mmol pH 8.0 ammonium acetate and acetonitrile in gradient mode. The method showed good linearities in the ranges of 25-5000 μg/L and 12.5-3000 μg/L for leucovorin and 5-methyltetrahydrofolate diastereoisomers, respectively. The method was fully validated with respect to sensitivity, precision, accuracy, matrix effect, extraction recovery, and stability of analytes under various conditions. The method was successfully applied to a pharmacokinetic study of 125 mg/m 2 6 R,S -leucovorin and 62.5 mg/m 2 6 S -leucovorin. The results showed that the maximum observed concentrations ( C max ) of 6 S -leucovorin and L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate were (3137.917±408.837) and (1679.633±244.132) μg/L, respectively, and the areas under the curve from the time of dosing to the last measurable concentration (AUC 0- t ) were (7504.883±1185.101) and (14001.214±2868.949) μg/L in the 125 mg/m 2 6 R,S -leucovorin dose group. The C max values of 6 S -leucovorin and L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate were (3187.917±387.298) and (1739.204±224.755) μg/L, respectively, and AUC 0- t values were (7426.664±854.825) and (14884.331±1843.353) μg/L in the 62.5 mg/m 2 6 S -leucovorin dose group. There were no significant diffe-rences in the main pharmacokinetic parameters between the two dose groups, and the pharmacokinetic characteristics as well as the rate and extent of absorption were consistent. This method can provide technical support for future bioequivalence studies of sodium leucovorin.

Objective: To explore the status of two-week illness in primary and secondary students and to provide the basis for rationally distributing heath resources in primary and secondary schools.
 Methods: Stratified cluster sampling method was used to select 6 744 primary and secondary students aged from 9.0-16.9 years, and the name or symptoms of two-week illness, frequencies, medical expenses and days of sick leave were surveyed by using the self-made questionnaires.
 Results: Respiratory system disease (73.6%) and digestive system diseases (13.2%) were the major two-week illness. When they were ill, 58.9% students went to hospital, 39.9% took medicine by themselves, and 1.2% received non-treatment. The two-week morbidity, sick frequencies, average medical expenses per time and days of sick leave were 12.6%, (1.34±0.81) times, 10.0 yuan, and (0.39±0.98) days, respectively. The two-week sick frequencies, average medical expenses per time and days of sick leave among primary or secondary students were (1.37±0.87) or (1.26±0.69) times, 12.0 or 9.0 yuan, and (0.44±1.14) or (0.30±0.55) days, respectively. There was a positive correlation between two week sick frequencies and medical fees per time, or days of sick leave (r=0.301, r=0.275 for primary students, respectively, P<0.01; r=0.334, r=0.290 for secondary students, respectively, P<0.01). The positive correlation between medical fees per time and days of sick leave was also found (r=0.312, r=0.343 for primary students and secondary students, respectively, P<0.01).
 Conclusion: Characteristics of two-week illness among primary and secondary students possess common symptoms, frequent, low medical expenses per time. The frequencies, medical expenses and days of sick leave in primary students were increased compared with that in secondary students.

Objective: To analyze the influence factors of body image dissatisfaction among children and adolescents with normal weight., Methods: The primary and middle school students who were selected from Changping district of Bejing city using the stratified cluster sampling method were measured body height, weight, and waist circumference. Body image cognitive attitude of students or their parents was surveyed using 'Ma figural shape'. The cognitive attitude of obesity risk factors was surveyed by self-designed questionnaires. The students with normal weight were selected according to 'reference norm for screening overweight and obesity in Chinese children and adolescents (WGOC) in 2005' and 'reference norm for screening underweight in Chinese children and adolescents aged 6-19 years'. The association between body image dissatisfaction and cognitive attitude of obesity risk factors was analyzed for each gender., Results: The study validly surveyed and measured 680 students, and there were 36.6% (249/680) students with overweight or obesity, 4.0% (27/680) students with underweight, and 59.4% (404/680) students with normal weight. Prevalence of body image satisfaction, expecting to be thinner, and to be fatter in students with normal weight was 32.7% (132/404), 35.1% (142/404), and 32.2% (130/404), respectively. The prevalence of expecting to be thinner in females and middle students was higher than that in males and primary students (46.4% (102/220) vs 21.8% (40/184)), (39.8% (88/221) vs 29.5% (54/183)), respectively; χ² values were 26.65 and 4.67 respectively (P < 0.05). The prevalence of expecting to be fatter in males was higher than that in females ((42.9% (79/184) vs 23.2% (51/220)) (χ² = 17.91, P < 0.001). The concordance ratio on body image cognitive attitude between students and their parent was 60.4% (244/404), and the consistency coefficient was 0.41 (P < 0.001). The factors including parents expecting their children to be thinner, the negative attitude on less drinking sugary beverages and having breakfast per day might increase the risks of children expecting to be thinner in males, the OR (95% CI) value were 5.20 (1.51-17.89), 3.43 (1.11-10.59), and 6.53(1.14-37.58), respectively. The parents expecting their children to be fatter might increase the risk of children expecting to be fatter in males, the OR (95% CI) value were 7.57 (3.47-16.52). The factors including parents expecting their children to be thinner, and the positive attitude on less eating high calorie snacks might increase the risk of children expecting to be thinner in females, the OR (95% CI) value were 65.74 (8.45-511.21) and 3.03 (1.01-9.09), respectively. The parents expecting their children to be thinner or fatter might increase the risk of children expecting to be fatter in females, the OR (95% CI) value were 17.38 (1.53-197.74) and 9.64 (3.98-23.35), respectively., Conclusion: The prevalence of body image dissatisfaction among students with normal weight was high, and the concordance ratio on body image cognitive attitude between themselves and their parents was low. Guiding students to have the correct cognitive attitude on less drinking sugary beverages, having breakfast per day, and less eating high calorie snacks may be conducive to prevent body image dissatisfaction.

Objective: To analyze the differences in anthropometric measurements between Mongolia and Han girls and understand the characteristics of their physical development in two ethnic groups., Methods: The data on anthropometric measurements of Mongolia and Han girls aged 9-17 years in Inner Mongolia were obtained from the Chinese National Survey on Student's Constitution and Health (CNSSCH) in 2010, and the data included body height, sitting height, chest circumference, weight, triceps skinfold thickness (TST), scapular skinfold thickness (SST), abdominal skinfold thickness (AST), and having menarche or not. The girls were divided into two groups according to having menarche or not, and the differences in anthropometric measurements between Mongolia and Han girls were analyzed for the two groups, respectively., Results: The proportions of Mongolia girls (9-17 years) who have experienced menarche was higher than that of Han girls (67.6%,1 049/1 553) vs (62.9%,1 837/2 922) (χ² = 9.17, P = 0.002). In girls without menarche (9-14 years), sitting height, AST, and BMI in Mongolia girls was 0.5 cm, 1.6 mm, and 0.4 kg/m², respectively, which were higher than those in Han girls (all P < 0.05). In girls who have experienced menarche (11-17 years), height and SST in Han girls was 0.8 cm, and 1.0 mm, respectively, which were higher than those in Mongolia girls (all P values < 0.01); TST, AST and BMI in Mongolia girls were 0.9 mm, 2.9 mm, and 0.3 kg/m², respectively, which were higher than those in Han girls (all P values < 0.05), respectively., Conclusion: Body AST and BMI in Mongolia girls are higher than those in Han girls, while body height in Han girls is better than that in Mongolia girls after menarche. The differences of physical development between Mongolia girls and Han girls might be different before and after experiencing menarche.

Objective: To analyze the correlation between children and adolescents' body shape parameters and parent's dissatisfaction on it., Methods: Stratified cluster sampling method was used to select students and their parents, and height, weight, waist circumference (WC), hip circumference (HC), skinfold thichness of the students were measured. Body image from parents was studied through the 'Ma body figural shape'. Correlation between body shape parameters and dissatisfaction towards them from the parents was analyzed under both simple- and multiple-level methods., Results: The overall prevalence of dissatisfaction on body-shapes from parents was 69.0%, including 28.6% of the parents expecting children to be fat (PEBF) while, 40.4% of the parents expecting their children to be thin (PEBT). In males, parameters as height, weight, WC, HC, skin fold thickness, BMI in PEBT were 1.9 cm, 11.9 kg, 13.2 cm, 8.8 cm, 32.3 mm, 4.7 kg/m² respectively, all higher than the satisfaction from the parents (PBIS) (all P < 0.05), and these parameters were 2.3 cm, 7.1 kg, 7.2 cm, 5.8 cm, 14.1 mm, 2.3 kg/m² higher in PBIS than that of PEBF, respectively (all P < 0.05). In females, parameters as weight, WC, HC, skinfold thickness, BMI in PEBT appeared to be 8.6 kg, 9.1 cm, 6.6 cm, 21.9 mm, 3.5 kg/m² higher than that of PBIS (all P < 0.01), and were 5.5 kg, 5.9 cm, 5.4 cm, 10.4 mm, 1.8 kg/m² higher in PBIS than that of PEBF, respectively, plus the difference of height was 3.6 cm more (P < 0.01). Differences of body shape on parameters between PEBT and PBIS were larger in primary school students than in middle school students. However, the differences of body shape parameters between PBIS and PEBF appeared higher in middle school students than in primary school male students, but were higher in female students in primary than in middle school students., Conclusion: The prevalence of body dissatisfaction related to children and adolscents' body shape parameters from parents was high. Parents in the PEBT group seemed to have paid more attention to children's body shape parameters at low age. However, parents in PEBF group might have paid more attention to children's body shape parameters at high age in males or at low age in females.

Objective: To analyze the difference in anthropometric measurements between Mongolia boys and Han boys in China and understand the characteristics of children's physical development in two ethnic groups., Methods: The data on anthropometric measurements of Mongolia boys and Han boys in Inner Mongolia were obtained from the National Survey on Student's Constitution and Health (CNSSCH) conducted in 2010, the data included body height, sitting height, chest circumference, body weight, triceps skinfold thickness (TST), scapular skinfold thickness (SST), abdominal skinfold thickness (AST), living area (urban area or rural area), and having spermatorrhea or not. The boys in two ethnic groups were divided into two groups according to the data about spermatorrhea, the living area specific difference in the anthropometric measurements between the boys in two ethnic groups were analyzed., Results: The proportions of Han boys having spermatorrhea at 11, 12, 14 years old (0, 3.2% , 62.5%) were higher than those of Mongolia boys (8.1%, 15.3%, 76.0%, all P < 0.05). In the boys who had had no spermatorrhea (11-14 years old), the body height of Han boys was 1.4 cm higher than that of Mongolia boys (P < 0.01), however, there were no significant differences in sitting height, chest circumference, body weight, TST, SST,AST and BMI between Han boys and Mongolia boys (all P > 0.05). In the boys who had had spermatorrhea (12-17 years old), the body height, sitting height, chest circumference, body weight, SST, BMI of Han boys were 1.8 cm,0.6 cm, 3.1 cm, 3.1 kg, 1.7 mm and 0.7 kg/m(2) higher than those of Mongolia boys, respectively (all P < 0.05), however, the differences in TST and AST between Han boys and Mongolia boys were not statistical significant (all P > 0.05)., Conclusion: The body height of Han boys might be higher than that of Mongolia boys, and in those who had had spermatorrhea, the sitting height, chest circumference, body weight, SST and BMI of Han boys might be higher than those of Mongolia boys, the differences in anthropometric measurements between Mongolia boys and Han boys who had had spermatorrhea or not might be different.

Objective: To investigate the expression of inhibitor of DNA differentiation/DNA binding 1 (Id1) and Id3 in endometrial carcinoma and explore their roles in regulating the proliferation, invasion, migration and adhesion of endometrial carcinoma cells in vitro., Methods: Id1 and Id3 expression in 4 fresh endometrial cancer tissue specimens and matched adjacent tissues were detected using Western blotting. Two endometrial cancer cell lines, HEC-1-B and RL-952, were both divided into 4 groups, namely the untreated group, blank virus group, promoter group and Id1/Id3 double-knockdown group, and their expressions of MMP2, CXCR4 and P21 were detected by qRT-PCR and Western blotting. The proliferation, invasion, migration and adhesion of the cells were evaluated with MTT, Transwell, wound-healing, and adhesion assays., Results: Endometrial carcinoma tissues showed significantly higher Id1 and Id3 expression than the adjacent tissues (P<0.05). In the two endometrial carcinoma cell lines, Id1/Id3 double-knockdown significantly decreased MMP2 and CXCR4 expression and increased P21 expression at both mRNA and protein levels (P<0.05), and resulted in suppressed cell proliferation, invasion, migration and adhesion., Conclusion: Id1 and Id3 expressions are up-regulated in endometrial carcinoma to promote the proliferation, invasion, migration and adhesion of the tumor cells by increasing MMP2 and CXCR4 expression and reducing P21 expression. Therapies targeting Id1/Id3 can be a novel strategy for treatment of endometrial carcinoma.

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of tympanoplasty with soft-wall reconstruction of ear canal for chronic otitis media with cholesteatoma., Method: Seventy-three patients (76 ears) suffering from chronic otitis media with cholesteatoma were treated with canal wall down mastoidectomy with tympanoplasty. Postauricular myo-periosteal flap was used to the soft-wall reconstruction of ear canal, and the cavityplasty of auricular concha was not performed. The auricular bone prosthesis was made of the autogeneic mastoid cortical bone or residual incus. The postoperative modality and the function of external auditory canal and the postoperative hearing and the postoperative complications were observed., Result: The mean dry ear time was (21.1 +/- 3. 1) days after surgery in this study. The postoperative modality of external auditory canal was normal on the whole. The patients were followed up between 6 months and 24 months after surgery. The postoperative average air conduction hearing was improved by (14.5 +/- 6.1) dB HL., Conclusion: Tympanoplasty with soft-wall reconstruction of ear canal using the postauricular myo-periosteal flap can recover the modality and function of external auditory canal on the whole, and the cavityplasty of auricular concha is not needed. The postoperative hearing can be improved by this technique satisfactorily.

Objective: To investigate the anti-tumor effects and the mechanism of the recombinant fowlpox virus expressing Apoptin gene on human laryngeal carcinoma Hep-2., Method: Hep-2 cells cultured in vitro were infected with vFVApoptin. The anti-tumor effects on Hep-2 cells were measured through MTT staining and, the mitochondrial trans-membrane potential (delta psi m) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) were analyzed by flow cytometry. Western blot was used to detect the release of cytochrome c (Cyto c). Caspase-3/9 activities were measured by colorimetric assay., Result: vFVApoptin could restrain Hep-2 cells significantly and, had the function of down-regulating delta psi m, up-regulating ROS, promoting Cyto c release and activating Caspase-3/9., Conclusion: Cyto c were released from mitochondria by the function of up-regulating ROS of vFVApoptin. Cyto c triggered Caspase-9 and, after the activation of Caspase-9, downstream apoptotic factors, such as caspase-3, were activated. Eventually, Hep-2 cells were suppressed by mitochondrial pathway apoptosis induced by vFVApoptin.

Objective: To research the antitumor efficacy on mice model bearing H22 tumor with application of pVVP3IL-18HN and its mechanism of the antitumor effect on Hep-2., Method: pVVP3IL-18HN was introduced into Hep-2 cells by liposome, then cellular morphology was observed through AO/EB stain. To evaluate the mechanism of the antitumor effect on Hep-2 of pVVP3IL-18HN and its effect on tumor immunogenicity, flow cytometer (FCM) was used to detect the variation of mitochondrial trans-membrane potential,reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the MHC-I. C57BL/6 mice were subcutaneously inoculated with 2 X 10(5) H22 tumor cells in the right hindlimb, and 7, 14 and 21 day post-inoculation, pVVP3IL-18HN was administrated intratumorally. The pVVP3, pVIL-18, PVHN and PBS control group were treated as above. Then the tumor suppression and specific cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) activity was detected., Result: After the transfection of pVVP3IL-18HN, tumor cells crenated and stained by AO/EB. In the research pVVP3IL-18HN was found to up-regulate the value of ROS and the expression of MHC-I, and down-regulate the value of mitochondrial trans-membrane potential. The tumor suppression rate of pVVP3IL-18HN was 60.5% and a dramatically increased tumor suppression was revealed in the pVVP3IL-18HN treated mice as compared with control mice treated with PBS (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: pVVP3IL-18HN kill the tumor cells by apoptosis and have notable antitumor effect in vivo.
