Design techniques for a complete 60 Gb/s receiver frontend with equalization, output slicing/demultiplexing, and clocking capabilities are described. Current integration combined with a cascode gate-voltage bias gain-control technique enables energy-efficient implementation of CTLE, FFE, and DFE circuits while operating near the speed limits of the technology. Despite following the DFE that has already in principle sliced the data, adaptive error-sampling requires high gain to resolve small residual error signals—this challenge is addressed by the addition of interleaved, offset-canceled deserializing samplers. Clock generation as well as distribution circuits are implemented to complete the receiver frontend. The proposed 65 nm CMOS receiver operates at 60 Gb/s, consuming 173 mW from 1.2 V and 1.0 V supplies. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]

This paper analyzes the signaling and digital power overhead of pre-emphasis voltage-mode transmitters. Utilizing a shunt branch in parallel with the differential channel to implement pre-emphasis is shown to have the best overall energy-efficiency. Leveraging this technique, an efficient pre-emphasis voltage mode transmitter architecture with output amplitude control, pre-emphasis coefficient control, and online impedance calibration is proposed and demonstrated. A 65 nm LP CMOS implementation of this architecture dissipates \sim \ 10 mW from a 1.2 V supply when transmitting 10 Gb/s 200 mV differential amplitude data with 2-tap pre-emphasis, achieving 1 pJ/bit energy efficiency. This paper presents a low-power mixed-signal adaptive 60 GHz baseband in 65 nm CMOS. The design integrates variable gain amplifiers, analog phase rotator, 40-coefficient I/Q decision feedback equalizers (DFEs), clock generation and data recovery circuits, and adaptation hardware. The baseband achieves 10 Gb/s operation with BER<10^-12 while consuming 53 mW (adaptation on)/45 mW (adaptation off), of which the core signal processing circuits consume only 29 mW. Objectives: This study aimed to develop the attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)-After School Checklist (ASK) to evaluate the severity of ADHD symptoms and self-management ability in children and adolescents in South Korea. Additionally, we evaluated the reliability and validity of the scale., Methods: We developed the ASK to evaluate the effect of ADHD psychopathologies on self-management and interpersonal impulsivity. We investigated the reliability and validity of the scale with 1349 parents (male 56.9%; 1202 parents of non-ADHD children, 147 parents of children with ADHD) in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, Korea., Results: According to the construct validity test using principal constant analysis with the varimax rotation method, two factors explained 60.7% of the cumulative variance in ASK scores. Cronbach's alpha for the whole scale was 0.71. There was no statistical difference between mean ASK scores at test and retest.
