セルロースの低湿度領域の収着特性によく適合するFreundlichの等温吸着式に基づいて,微量の水分をもつ電気絶縁紙が示す雰囲気中の平衡水蒸気圧から,紙に含まれている微量水分量を従来よりいっそう正確に測定出来る方法が提出されている。絶対乾燥基準として加熱後の重量を用いた従来の方法にくらべて,この方法は水蒸気圧が零となる状態を基準とするものであって,紙を何ら害することなしに正確に測ることが出来る。更にこの方法を用いて80℃ から120℃ までの高温で15mmHgから0.05mmHgまでの水蒸気圧範囲にわたり等温脱着曲線が得られた。吸着等量線から水蒸気よりの微分吸着熱として16.0kcal/mol H2Oが算出され,また脱着に伴なって起る吸着水のエントロピー変化量が計算された結果,従来単に予測されていた極めて低い湿分領域におけるエントロピー増加量の急上昇が確認されるに到った。

7MUT35/55型ディーゼル機関は関西汽船会社の新造客船るり丸の主機関であつて, 終戰後三菱長崎造船所によつて新しく設計製作された二サイクル式中型ディーゼル機関である.本機関は昭和23年1月組立を始め同年5月陸上運転を行い, 6月にるり丸に積み込まれた.るり丸は長さ74m, 幅12.2m, 深さ5.8m, 満載吃水4m, 総トン数約1800トンにして速度14.75マイルである.本船は同年9月海上運転を実施し, 10月より別府航路に就航し, 大阪別府間を約20時間で航海しているが, 主機関はその後好調子にて, 優秀な性能を示している.本機関の主要目は第1表のごとくである.なお参考のために23号乙8型, Y6Z37/55VR型, 22号10型, マ式3号との比較を示しておいた.

高温度電気絶縁紙の真空乾燥を続けていくとき,完全乾燥に近づくにつれてやがて熱分解反応が徐々に起こってくる。この究極乾燥から熱分解に移行する推移過程に関する挙動を明らかにするため,室温で徹底的に乾燥した紙を10-4mmHgに引き続けながら80～120℃範囲の特定温度に上昇して排出するガス量を時間的に追跡した。絶対乾燥状態を雰囲気の平衡蒸気圧が零の状態と定義して得た脱着ならびに熱分解過程に関するデータを用いて,この推移過程の放出ガス分を解析,分離した。紙が完全乾燥状態に近づくにつれて,徐々に起ってくる熱分解反応と同時に,残留脱着水の10倍以上の水が乾燥温度に依存して一時的に放出されてくることを明らかにし,推移過程で排出する全ガス分を数量的に各過程毎に分離することができた。脱着水でも熱分解ガスでもないこの水分は吸湿能の不可逆減少にも反映しており,セルロースOH基間の脱水によるものと推定した。

塩化銅(I)の存在において,ジアゾメタソは2-メチルフランと反応して,2種のモノ付加物,および1種のジ付加物,すなわち,1-メチル-2-オキサ-ビシクロ[3,1,0]-Δ3-ヘキセン(II),3-メチル-2-オキサ-ビシクロ[3,1,0]-Δ3-ヘキセン(III),1-メチル-2-オキサ-トリシクロ[4,1,0,03,5]ヘプタン(IV)を与えた。IIとIIIの生成比は1.5対1であった。また,ジアゾ酢酸メチルエステルは銅粉の存在下に2-メチルフランと反応して,6-オキソ-2,4-ヘプタジエン酸メチルエステル(VI)を与えた。この事実はメトキシカルボニルカルベンがメチル基を持たない二重結合を攻撃して,中間体であるシクロプロパン誘導体を与えるが,反応条件下では不安定であって,開環転位して,VIを生成したことを示唆している。すなわち, 2 - メチルフランへのメトキシカルボエルカルベンの付加反応はベンゼン環の場合に類似して, 立体効果に支配されることが示された。新化合物II,III,IV,VIの構造はNMR,IR,UVおよび元素分析で確認した。

ホルマール銅線の“Wet Cracking”の原因を追求した。ひずみのかかった被膜を空気中で熱処理すると水に浸しても亀裂がでないが, この熱処理の温度と時間との間にはλ=A exp (U/RT) なる関係のあることを見出し, またvolume dilatometerを用いてのガラス転移点の測定結果と一致した。このような点より亀裂の原因が応力緩和過程中において起るとの見解をとり, 種々の現象を考察している。

Remarkable developments in Diesel engines have been made in seventy years since the first unit was successfully tested in the shop of M. A. N. in Augusburg, Germany in 1897.In Japan, the Nagasaki Works of the Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. designed and manufactured the first Diesel engine in 1917. Since then, many other companies in Japan completed their own designs and have incorporated various improvements.The author makes a historical review of the technical developments of Diesel engines in Japan, and describes major researches and experiments made on the basic problems of Diesel engines in relation to the practical application during the process of development of Diesel engine.The development of the MS type two-stroke cycle Diesel engines in 1932 and investigations on various problems related to scavenging methods, fuel injection systems, exhaust turbo-chargers, thermal stresses and temperature distributions in cylinder liners and pistons, photo-elastic expemiments on engine construction, rigidity of engine beds, design of bearing, exhaust valve driving gears, and non-cooling turbo-chargers, etc. are included.Researches for up-rating of Diesel engines and processes of developments of Vee-form Diesel engines are also explained.The future possibility of manufacturing of Diesel engines of very large size type is stated in the conclusions.

電力送電に用いる高電圧紙ケーブル用の絶縁油には,高電界下でガスを発生しないことが要求され,いわゆる“ガス試験”によって特性が調べられて来たけれども, このガス試験法の再現性が悪くこれまで研究に多大の支障を与えていた。本報はかかるガス試験法自体の再現性に影響する因子を究めたもので,従来注目されなかった実験操作上の因子のうち,再現性を極めて悪くする因子i)前処理としての脱ガス程度,ii)これに次ぐ水素の溶解平衡,iii)電極部の垂直性保持,iv)試験中に生じるガス圧変化,を見出してその結果への影響度を明らかにした。そしてこの結果に基づいてよい再現性の得られるガス試験法の標準操作法を確立した。

This report deals with the results obtained from the tests of a high supercharged, two cycle, Vee-type diesel engine, and also with the following basic research conducted in relation to the said engine. 1) Exhaust silencer : By means of decreasing the selected component of exhaust gas pulse, we could obtain an excellent silencer. 2) Exhaust valve spring : To eliminate a surging of the exhaust valve spring, we measured static and dynamic unbalanced forces, and obtained the effect of harmonics of cam on surging. 3) Scavenging test : We tested the effect of piston stroke, cylinder bore, height and breadth of scavenging ports on scavenging efficiency by using a single-stroke type scavenging test appraratus, and determined the most suitable form of ports. 4) Strength of crankshaft : We could design a small type crankshaft by making use of three-dimensional photo-elasticity, strength test of material and measuring the static and dynamic stress of the test engine. 5) Exhaust turbocharger : We obtained the maximum capacity of the one-stage exhaust turbine by equi-density interference fringe and Schlieren photograph, and as a result of the spin test, we established the calculating method of the impeller strength.

ケーブル絶縁油を高電圧に曝らした際のガス発生挙動に関する前報までのガス試験結果と,それらの油を含浸した油浸紙の交流長時間破壊電圧特性との関係を,油の化学組成面について油浸紙ケーブルモデルにより確認した結果である。絶縁油に芳香族留分が多く含まれているほど,ガス試験では水素ガスを多く吸収するし,油浸紙の交流破壊電圧・時間特性は高くなる。また芳香族性が同一であっても飽和留分からのガス発生の少ない油ほど,若干ながら長時間の電圧印加で破壊する破壊電圧値は高くでて,油の芳香族性のみならず,鉱油の骨格構造が2次的に影響することを知り得た。このように,絶縁油のガス試験結果からその油を含浸した油浸紙の交流長時間破壊電圧特性が推察しうることを実験上証明するとともに,絶縁油からのガス発生によって,油浸紙が絶縁破壊するに至る過程につき考察を加え,従来のガス試験結果の判定法における誤りを指摘した。

電力送電用油入ケーブルの使用電圧が高まった際, どのような化学組成の絶縁油が高電界下でいっそう安定であるかを明らかにするため,基油の異なる4種の絶縁油を選び,それぞれの精製度を3段階に変えた12種の油を対象として,25.9,41.3,49.7kV/cm,30℃でガス試験を行なった。印加時間(t)に対するガス発生量(x)の全データは,前報までと同様, dx/dt=B+Aexp(-kt)で解析することができた。そして基油ならびに精製度が広く異なっても, また電位傾度が変っても,それらのガス試験結果は上式によって表現することができ,定数AとBによって各油の結果を特色づけうることを確認した。さらに, 各油に関するこの定数A,B値の電位傾度ならびに化学組成依存性から, 電圧上昇による放電反応性変化への鉱油化学組成の影響について次の傾向を把握した。すなわち,鉱油の化学組成に関し,第4報で見出した定数Aと%CN(%CP-%CA)d/Mの相関性ならびに第5報で見出した定数BとRT(%CP/%CR)d/Mの相関性は電位傾度が変っても成立する。しかし電位傾度上昇によりA との相関性は定数A の減少する方向へと比例的に変化するのに対し, 定数Bとのそれは急激にBの増大となり,特に(%CP/%CR)の大きい油ほどこの傾向は著しくなる。この結果,いっそう高電圧下でも安定でありうる油とは,定数Aの小さいことと同時に,定数Bが小さく,かつ電位傾度による変化の少ない油であることを知りえた。

高温度で長時間高真空乾燥を行なう際の電気絶縁紙の熱分解挙動を,実際の乾燥工程に則した条件(135℃ から230℃範囲の温度で10-4mmHgに引き続ける)で分解放出ガスの発生速度と, そのガス組成の時間的変化を追跡し, 速度論的解析によって次の過程を明らかにした。i)高温度高真空における紙の熱分解は, 分解ガスの発生速度が時間的に変化しない39.2kcal/molなる活性化エネルギーをもつ零次反応と, 初期段階で支配的にして分解速度が1 次で減衰する22～23kcal/molなる反応とが, 同時に進んでいる過程である。ii)初期で支配的な1次反応は180℃ 前後以上では異なる分解様式をとり, 分解ガスの組成比の変化にも現われる。すなわち, 一般に分解が進むにつれてガス組成比中, 水蒸気の相対比率が増加するが, 180℃ 以下の温度では以上の温度範囲よりもH2O比率が大きく, 炭酸ガスより一酸化炭素の方が多く発生する。以上の結果を密閉室内の圧力上昇法によってきた従来の研究結果と比較し,これまでの研究は熱分解反応が定常状態に達していない状態を対象とした結果であることを説明している。

熱天秤方式により,重油,軽油などの燃料油の燃焼速度を測定する装置を考案試作し,それにより各種燃料油の燃焼速度を測定した。その結果,油の平均分子量に対し2次曲線的な関係が存在する。また,本装置により添加剤の作用を調べた結果,適当なものでは20%ほど燃焼速度が促進される。試験ジーゼル機関を用いて燃料消費率と燃焼速度の促進率との間にはほぼ比例的な関係が存在し,添加剤の使用により燃料消費率は5～10%の節減がみられることを知った。すなわち,前記の平面燃焼法による測定結果は再現性,精度がかなり良好であってジーゼル機関に対する添加剤の影響に対し判定の指標になる。添加剤は油により適当な配合比があり,またジーゼル機関において適当な添加剤を使用すれば燃料消費率は低下し,熱効率はよくなる。

Abstract The various offshore structures for wildcatting or producing oil are often moored, sit on bottom or fixed on the sea bed, as required by the type of work, in waters where they are subjected to a violent tidal current. Also, among the contruction projects of long spanned bridges in various countries to meet the demand of the recent development of traffic net work, there are cases where the bridge must be spanned across a rapid strait. In such cases, it is often inevitable to build the bridge piers amid the rapid tidal current of the strait, taking account of the present technology and the economy. From the point of view of performing the design, production and installation, it has been found most advantages for the offshore structure or the structure of such a long spanned bridge to employ a multi-tubular column type structure. For designing and building the multi-tubular column structure, the extent of an external force to act on the structure must be assumed. There are many external forces such as wind force wave force, seismic force, current force and so on. In this paper the current force, which comes into question on the occasion of the installation, will be discussed. The force of tidal current acting on a single tubular column has been studied and reported several times in the past, but no studies have ever been made on the interference in the multi-tubular-column structure. Even if there would be any one, it should have been a small model experiment in a tank and that studying the interference only between two tubular columns. In this study, a probable 6-tubularcolumn structure was used, and the force of tidal current acting on each column was obtained. The experiment consisted of a small model test in a tank and a large model test in waters in the Hiroshima Bay. The force of tidal current to act on an actual tubular column structure has been able to be obtained by means of these tests. The results of this experiment may be used as calculation standards in designing and constructing an actual structure. Model Tests I. Models used Large Model Fig. 1 shows the outline of the large model. The six tubular columns are built into a jacket frame. The pipe columns have smooth surface without painting. Small Model The small model is shown in Fig. 2. The model is scaled down to 1/20 in horizontal section and to 1/10 in vertical section of the large model, respectively. It is made of plastic having smooth surface.
