Objective To understand the survival rate.factors affecting the survival rate and death causes in the patients with continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) by retrospectively analyzing the data of CAPD patients to adopt the effective measures by aiming at various factors. Methods The retrospective analysis was performed on the survival rate and its influencing factors in 308 patients with definitely diagnosed end stage renal disease and conducting CAPD exceeding 3 months in the hospital from January 1.2010 to October 1.2017.Then the influence of related factors such as the age. Alb level, residual renal function, dialysis related peritonitis.dialysis sufficiency, volume, blood pressure. calcium and phosphorus metabolism on the survival rate was analyzed. The various factors were analyzed by using the Kaplan-Meier method. The multivariate analysis was performed by using the Cox regression model. Results The anemia degree, poor nutritional status, low residual renal function value, peritonitis occurrence during dialysis in first time peritoneal dialysis were the risk factors of poor survival rate in CAPD patients;the nutritional status and residual renal function in the first time dialysis were the independent risk factors affecting the survival rate in the CAPD patients. Among 308 cases of CAPD, 86 cases (27.92%) died, including 68 cases (79.07%) of cardiovascular events, 10 cases (11.63%) of peritoneal infection,3 cases(3.49%) of digestive tract bleeding,2 cases(2.33%) of cerebral infarction and 3 cases (3.49%) of others. Conclusion The influencing factors of survival in CAPD patients are mainly the anemia degree in the first time peritoneal dialysis, nutritional status, residual renal function and dialysis related peritonitis occurrence. The nutritional status at the first time peritoneal dialysis and residual renal function are the independent risk factors. The cardiovascular events is the main death cause of CAPD patients, followed by peritoneal infection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
