The article focuses on the ability of American baseball player of the 1920s Jack Smith to score frequently. Factors that influence a player's ability to score runs and the scores of Eric Davis and other baseball players who had similar scores as those of Davis are discussed. Analyses of Smith's base running numbers during his 1921-22 seasons and of the number of times he advanced on hits compared to that of players of his time with similar profiles as his, are performed.
