The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic at the beginning of 2020 jeopardized the entire world. Meanwhile, the Russia–Saudi Arabia oil war led a crude oil market going out of the frying pan into the fire. This research has two main purposes. First, we investigate structures of the crude oil related exchange-traded products (ETPs) in terms of operation and cost. Second, we analyze the correlation and investment performance of the crude oil related ETPs and West Texas Intermediate spot market. The major findings are as follows: (1) there is a positive correlation between the crude oil spot and the crude oil producing firm, (2) the investment performance of the crude oil related ETPs is inferior to that of the crude oil spot due to the rollover cost, (3) the investment performance of the crude oil related leverage ETNs (Exchange-Traded Notes) or inverse ETPs has deteriorated because their managing structure tracks the daily return which leads to the compounding effects. These empirical results show the characteristics of the gain and loss of the crude oil-related ETPs, which enhance conceptual understanding and offer implications to policymakers and authorities for the efficiency of the alternative investment strategy. © 2021, Korean Securities Association. Summary The realization of lithium-ion battery (LIB) anodes with high volumetric energy densities and minimal Li plating at high rates remains a key challenge for emerging technologies, including electric vehicles and grid-level energy storage. Here, we present graphene-functionalized Li2TiSiO5 (G-LTSO) as a high volumetric energy and power density anode for LIBs. G-LTSO forms a dense electrode structure with electronically and ionically conductive networks that deliver superior electrochemical performance. Upon lithiation, in situ transmission electron microscopy reveals that graphene functionalization yields minimal structural changes compared with pristine LTSO, resulting in high cycling stability. Furthermore, G-LTSO exhibits not only high charge and discharge capacities but also low overpotentials at high rates with minimal voltage fading due to reduced formation of a solid-electrolyte interphase. The combination of highly compacted electrode morphology, stable high-rate electrochemistry, and low operating potential enables G-LTSO to achieve exceptional volumetric energy and power densities that overcome incumbent challenges for LIBs.

Although conventional homoepitaxy forms high-quality epitaxial layers1-5, the limited set of material systems for commercially available wafers restricts the range of materials that can be grown homoepitaxially. At the same time, conventional heteroepitaxy of lattice-mismatched systems produces dislocations above a critical strain energy to release the accumulated strain energy as the film thickness increases. The formation of dislocations, which severely degrade electronic/photonic device performances6-8, is fundamentally unavoidable in highly lattice-mismatched epitaxy9-11. Here, we introduce a unique mechanism of relaxing misfit strain in heteroepitaxial films that can enable effective lattice engineering. We have observed that heteroepitaxy on graphene-coated substrates allows for spontaneous relaxation of misfit strain owing to the slippery graphene surface while achieving single-crystalline films by reading the atomic potential from the substrate. This spontaneous relaxation technique could transform the monolithic integration of largely lattice-mismatched systems by covering a wide range of the misfit spectrum to enhance and broaden the functionality of semiconductor devices for advanced electronics and photonics.

Complex-oxide materials exhibit a vast range of functional properties desirable for next-generation electronic, spintronic, magnetoelectric, neuromorphic, and energy conversion storage devices1-4. Their physical functionalities can be coupled by stacking layers of such materials to create heterostructures and can be further boosted by applying strain5-7. The predominant method for heterogeneous integration and application of strain has been through heteroepitaxy, which drastically limits the possible material combinations and the ability to integrate complex oxides with mature semiconductor technologies. Moreover, key physical properties of complex-oxide thin films, such as piezoelectricity and magnetostriction, are severely reduced by the substrate clamping effect. Here we demonstrate a universal mechanical exfoliation method of producing freestanding single-crystalline membranes made from a wide range of complex-oxide materials including perovskite, spinel and garnet crystal structures with varying crystallographic orientations. In addition, we create artificial heterostructures and hybridize their physical properties by directly stacking such freestanding membranes with different crystal structures and orientations, which is not possible using conventional methods. Our results establish a platform for stacking and coupling three-dimensional structures, akin to two-dimensional material-based heterostructures, for enhancing device functionalities8,9.

A one-step phase inversion method was applied to fabricate an optimized anode structure for protonic ceramic fuel cells (PCFCs). The phase inversion process utilized raw starting chemicals, instead of crystalline BaCe0.7Zr0.1Y0.1Yb0.1O3-δ (BCZYYb) powder in an energy and time saving process. The resulting large and fingerlike pores exhibited enhanced performance as compared to the disordered pores produced by conventional preparation of anode structures using dry pressing methods. The electrochemical performance of the rational designed anode supported cell were 491, 402, 302 and 200 mW cm−2 at 700, 650, 600 and 550 C, respectively, which was nearly twice than the cell with dry pressing anode. An equivalent circuit modeling method was used to separate the anode polarization resistance from the single cell, confirming that the overall cell performance improvements were attributed to microstructural modifications of the anode by the phase inversion process. The one-step phase inversion method demonstrated great promise for improved processing of fuel cells and separation membranes.

Artificial auxetic sweat ducts enable electronic skin sensors to perform reliable and noninvasive health monitoring over a week., Electronic skins (e-skins)—electronic sensors mechanically compliant to human skin—have long been developed as an ideal electronic platform for noninvasive human health monitoring. For reliable physical health monitoring, the interface between the e-skin and human skin must be conformal and intact consistently. However, conventional e-skins cannot perfectly permeate sweat in normal day-to-day activities, resulting in degradation of the intimate interface over time and impeding stable physical sensing. Here, we present a sweat pore–inspired perforated e-skin that can effectively suppress sweat accumulation and allow inorganic sensors to obtain physical health information without malfunctioning. The auxetic dumbbell through-hole patterns in perforated e-skins lead to synergistic effects on physical properties including mechanical reliability, conformability, areal mass density, and adhesion to the skin. The perforated e-skin allows one to laminate onto the skin with consistent homeostasis, enabling multiple inorganic sensors on the skin to reliably monitor the wearer’s health over a period of weeks.

It is so important that the bonding technology between tungsten and dissimilar metals for the PFC of ITER and DEMO, KSTAR. The development of tungsten brazing technology was first launched for the KSTAR PFC. Flat type tungsten block was brazed on CuCrZr in vacuum at a temperature of 980 °C for 30 min using silver free brazing alloy. The brazing filler is a 0.05 mm thick-plate made of a Ni-Cu-Mn alloy. Tungsten brazed mock-ups with a swirl and smooth tube were tested at an electron beam facility, KoHLT-EB(Korea heat load test facility-Electron Beam) in KAERI. The high heat flux test was performed for tungsten brazed mock-ups with a swirl and smooth tube under the heat flux of about 5.4–8 MW/m2. The test results show there are no delamination or failures at the bonding joints during and after all the heat flux test. According to the thermal hydraulic analysis and results of heat flux test, the cooling effect of the smooth tube was better than one of the swirl tube at the conditions of the coolant of about 0.35 MPa and the heat flux of over about 5 MW/m2.

Remote epitaxy is a recently discovered type of epitaxy, wherein single-crystalline thin films can be grown on graphene-coated substrates following the crystallinity of the substrate via remote interaction through graphene. Although remote epitaxy provides a pathway to form freestanding membranes by controlled exfoliation of grown film at the graphene interface, implementing remote epitaxy is not straightforward because atomically precise control of interface is required. Here, we unveil the role of the graphene–substrate interface on the remote epitaxy of GaAs by investigating the interface at the atomic scale. By comparing remote epitaxy on wet-transferred and dry-transferred graphene, we show that interfacial oxide layer formed at the graphene–substrate interface hinders remote interaction through graphene when wet-transferred graphene is employed, which is confirmed by an increase of interatomic distance through graphene and also by the formation of polycrystalline films on graphene. On the other hand, when dry-transferred graphene is employed, the interface is free of native oxide, and single-crystalline remote epitaxial films are formed on graphene, with the interatomic distance between the epilayer and the substrate matching with the theoretically predicted value. The first atomic layer of the grown film on graphene is vertically aligned with the top layer of the substrate with these atoms having different polarities, substantiating the remote interaction of adatoms with the substrate through graphene. These results directly show the impact of interface properties formed by different graphene transfer methods on remote epitaxy.

Flexible logic circuits and memory with ultra-low static power consumption are in great demand for battery-powered flexible electronic systems. Here, we show that a flexible nonvolatile logic-in-memory circuit enabling normally-off computing can be implemented using a poly(1,3,5-trivinyl-1,3,5-trimethyl cyclotrisiloxane) (pV3D3)-based memristor array. Although memristive logic-in-memory circuits have been previously reported, the requirements of additional components and the large variation of memristors have limited demonstrations to simple gates within a few operation cycles on rigid substrates only. Using memristor-aided logic (MAGIC) architecture requiring only memristors and pV3D3-memristor with good uniformity on a flexible substrate, for the first time, we experimentally demonstrated our implementation of MAGIC-NOT and -NOR gates during multiple cycles and even under bent conditions. Other functions, such as OR, AND, NAND, and a half adder, are also realized by combinations of NOT and NOR gates within a crossbar array. This research advances the development of novel computing architecture with zero static power consumption for batterypowered flexible electronic systems.

The tungsten (W) brazed flat type mock-up which consists of W, OFHC-Cu (oxygen-free high conductive copper) and CuCrZr alloy has been designed for KSTAR divertor in preparation for KSTAR upgrade with 17 MW heating power. For verification of the W brazed mock-up, the high heat flux test is performed at KoHLT-EB (Korea High Heat Load Test Facility-Electron Beam) in KAERI (Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute). Three mock-ups are tested for several thousand thermal cycles with absorbed heat flux up to 5 MW/m 2 for 20 s duration. There is no evidence of the failure at the bonding joints of all mock-ups after HHF test. Finite element analysis (FEA) is performed to interpret the result of the test. As a result, it is considered that the local area in the water is in the subcooled boiling regime.

Layered, nickel-rich lithium transition metal oxides have emerged as leading candidates for lithium-ion battery (LIB) cathode materials. High-performance applications for nickel-rich cathodes, such as electric vehicles and grid-level energy storage, demand electrodes that deliver high power without compromising cell lifetimes or impedance. Nanoparticle-based nickel-rich cathodes seemingly present a solution to this challenge due to shorter lithium-ion diffusion lengths compared to incumbent micrometer-scale active material particles. However, since smaller particle sizes imply that surface effects become increasingly important, particle surface chemistry must be well characterized and controlled to achieve robust electrochemical properties. Moreover, residual surface impurities can disrupt commonly used carbon coating schemes, which result in compromised cell performance. Using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, here we present a detailed characterization of the surface chemistry of LiNi0.8Al0.15Co0.05O2 (NCA) nanoparticles, ultimately identifying surface impurities that limit LIB performance. With this chemical insight, annealing procedures are developed that minimize these surface impurities, thus improving electrochemical properties and enabling conformal graphene coatings that reduce cell impedance, maximize electrode packing density, and enhance cell lifetime fourfold. Overall, this work demonstrates that controlling and stabilizing surface chemistry enables the full potential of nanostructured nickel-rich cathodes to be realized in high-performance LIB technology.

Using in situ electrical biasing transmission electron microscopy, structural and chemical modification to n-i-p-type MAPbI3 solar cells are examined with a TiO2 electron-transporting layer caused by bias in the absence of other stimuli known to affect the physical integrity of MAPbI3 such as moisture, oxygen, light, and thermal stress. Electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) measurements reveal that oxygen ions are released from the TiO2 and migrate into the MAPbI3 under a forward bias. The injection of oxygen is accompanied by significant structural transformation; a single-crystalline MAPbI3 grain becomes amorphous with the appearance of PbI2 . Withdrawal of oxygen back to the TiO2 , and some restoration of the crystallinity of the MAPbI3 , is observed after the storage in dark under no bias. A subsequent application of a reverse bias further removes more oxygen ions from the MAPbI3 . Light current-voltage measurements of perovskite solar cells exhibit poorer performance after elongated forward biasing; recovery of the performance, though not complete, is achieved by subsequently applying a negative bias. The results indicate negative impacts on the device performance caused by the oxygen migration to the MAPbI3 under a forward bias. This study identifies a new degradation mechanism intrinsic to n-i-p MAPbI3 devices with TiO2 .

Summary This paper presents the results of a study conducted to examine the characteristics of human-centered design and pedestrians' perceptions of street design features. The main emphasis was to determine the existence of empirical evidence that human-centered design increases pedestrian satisfaction levels and enhances community walkability. The following approach was applied in the study: (i) the existing research concerning walkable community and pedestrian facility designs was reviewed; (ii) survey data from pedestrian interviews regarding urban streets as well as the detailed geometric features of the interview sites were gathered; (iii) statistical analysis to determine whether pedestrians actually feel more satisfied when they walk in areas with human-centered design was conducted based on actual pedestrian interview scores for various street design features; and (iv) major design features to increase pedestrian satisfaction levels were identified. The study results show that pedestrians perceived planting strips as the most important design element that would increase the satisfaction scores whereas they perceived the presence of driveways and the number of vehicle lanes as design elements that that would diminish the scores. Overall, the valuable findings of this research provide evidence of the various effects of the application of human-centered design and improve our understanding of walkable communities. Seoul has 424 traffic fatalities in 2010 and 227 of them related to pedestrian crashes. In addition, it revealed that 40% of pedestrian fatalities occurred during jaywalking. Through the effective methods preventing jaywalking can save lots of people, and it can reduce social costs pertinent to pedestrian crashes. Therefore, this study is to suggest the methods preventing jaywalking through conducting literature reviews, human factors with pedestrian and vehicle characteristics, as well as geometric features of accident site or spot. Firstly, in order for examining the contributing factors of accident, this research conducts statistical analysis on pedestrian accidents specifically in jaywalking. Secondly, the analysis on human factors about pedestrian and drivers revealed that drivers with high speed play pivotal roles in pedestrian fatalities. Thirdly, Road and environment factors showed both expected and contradictory results through analyzing total numbers of lane or dry/icy pavement conditions. Consequently, this study can be used to prevent and alleviate pedestrian accidents as well as expected to be applied to future researches about pedestrian safety facilities.

The physics of energetic ions is one of the primary subjects to be understood toward the realization of a nuclear fusion power plant. Collective Thomson scattering (CTS) offers the possibility to diagnose the fast ions and the alpha particles in burning plasmas. Spatially- and temporally-resolved one-dimensional velocity distributions of the fast ions can be obtained from the scattered radiation with fewer geometric constraints by utilizing millimeter waves from a high-power gyrotron as a probe beam. We studied the feasibility of CTS fast-ion measurements in the KSTAR by calculating the spectral density functions. Based on that, we suggest a design for the CTS system that uses the currently-operating 170-GHz gyrotron for electron cyclotron heating (ECH) and electron cyclotron current drive (ECCD) in the KSTAR. The CTS system is presented as two subsystems: the antenna system and the heterodyne receiver system. The design procedure for an off-axis ellipsoidal mirror is described, and the CTS system requirements are discussed.

Black phosphorus (BP) with unique 2D structure enables the intercalation of foreign elements or molecules, which makes BP directly relevant to high-capacity rechargeable batteries and also opens a promising strategy for tunable electronic transport and superconductivity. However, the underlying intercalation mechanism is not fully understood. Here, a comparative investigation on the electrochemically driven intercalation of lithium and sodium using in situ transmission electron microscopy is presented. Despite the same preferable intercalation channels along [100] (zigzag) direction, distinct anisotropic intercalation behaviors are observed, i.e., Li ions activate lateral intercalation along [010] (armchair) direction to form an overall uniform propagation, whereas Na diffusion is limited in the zigzag channels to cause the columnar intercalation. First-principles calculations indicate that the diffusion of both Li and Na ions along the zigzag direction is energetically favorable, while Li/Na diffusion long the armchair direction encounters an increased energy barrier, but that of Na is significantly larger and insurmountable, which accounts for the orientation-dependent intercalation channels. The evolution of chemical states during phase transformations (from Lix P/Nax P to Li3 P/Na3 P) is identified by analytical electron diffraction and energy-loss spectroscopy. The findings elucidate atomistic Li/Na intercalation mechanisms in BP and show potential implications for other similar 2D materials.

This study proposed a behavioral theory-based approach to better assess pedestrian levels of service for sidewalks, using the concepts of personal space and pedestrian evasive movements. Data from pedestrian interviews and video recordings at 28 commercial, residential, and leisure locations were used to analyze the effects of pedestrian movements on pedestrian perceived levels of service. With these results, a new measure of pedestrian level of service was developed. With the use of a separate validation sample, the revised levels of service obtained were found to be more consistent with the pedestrian perceived levels than the levels prescribed by the Korean Highway Capacity Manual. Hence, this research recommended the use of the revised measures for pedestrian level of service in the design and evaluation of pedestrian facilities. We also found that pedestrian evasive movements on sidewalks could better explain pedestrians' perception of the levels of service for a given facility. Moreover, pedestrian evasive movements were found to be sensitive to the width of the sidewalk and pedestrian volume. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. Language: en

2D materials have shown great promise to advance next-generation lithium-ion battery technology. Specifically, tin-based chalcogenides have attracted widespread attention because lithium insertion can introduce phase transformations via three types of reactions-intercalation, conversion, and alloying-but the corresponding structural changes throughout these processes, and whether they are reversible, are not fully understood. Here, the first real-time and atomic-scale observation of reversible phase transformations is reported during the lithiation and delithiation of SnSe2 single crystals, using in situ high-resolution transmission electron microscopy complemented by first-principles calculations. Lithiation proceeds sequentially through intercalation, conversion, and alloying reactions (SnSe2 → Lix SnSe2 → Li2 Se + Sn → Li2 Se + Li17 Sn4 ) in a manner that maintains structural and crystallographic integrity, whereas delithiation forms numerous well-aligned SnSe2 nanodomains via a homogeneous deconversion process, but gradually loses the coherent orientation in subsequent cycling. Furthermore, alloying and dealloying reactions cause dramatic structural reorganization and thereby consequently reduce structural stability and electrochemical cyclability, which implies that deep discharge for Sn chalcogenide electrodes should be avoided. Overall, the findings elucidate atomistic lithiation and delithiation mechanisms in SnSe2 with potential implications for the broader class of 2D metal chalcogenides.

Korean superconducting tokamak advanced research (KSTAR) is a national superconducting tokamak with the aim of a high beta operation based on advanced tokamak (AT) scenarios, and an ion cyclotron ranges of frequency (ICRF) heating is one of the essential tools to achieve this goal. The fabrication and high voltage (HV) test of the antenna and the matching system were finished in 2006 and the installation of the antenna, matching system and the transmitter at the KSTAR site was completed in 2007. Antenna conditioning was carried out to improve the HV holding condition of the antenna installed on the KSTAR and to check on the electro-magnetic (EM) interference with other equipments such as the superconducting magnet monitoring system and other machine and/or plasma diagnostic systems. The first KSTAR tokamak experimental campaign started by a vacuum pumping, a cryostat cooling and an ICRF system contributed to the successful tokamak shots through an ICRF assisted discharge cleaning of the vacuum vessel. In this paper, the installation processes of the ICRF system (with an emphasis on the quality assurance procedures of KSTAR), as well as the results from the first RF discharge experiment for the discharge cleaning and FWEH (fast wave electron heating) experiment for the KSTAR 1st experimental campaign are outlined.

An ICRF discharge cleaning and a fast wave electron heating experiment were performed. For automated operation and providing the diagnostics of the ICRF system, the ICRF local network was designed and implemented. This internal network provides monitoring, RF protection, remote control, and RF diagnostics. All the functions of the control system were realized by customized DSP units. The DSP units were tied by a local network in parallel. Owing to the distributed feature of the control system, the ICRF local control system is quite flexible to maintain. Developing the subsystem is a more effective approach compared to developing a large controller that governs the entire system. During the first experimental campaign of the KSTAR tokamak, the control system operated as expected without any major problems that would affect the tokamak operation. The transmitter was protected from harmful over-voltage events through reliable operation of the system.

Zr(C,N) and Ti(C,N) films were synthesized by pulsed dc plasma assisted metal-organic chemical vapor deposition method using metal-organic compounds of tetrakis diethylamido titanium and tetrakis diethylamido zirconium at 200–300°C. To change the plasma characteristics, different carrier gases such as H2 and He∕H2 were used and, as the reactive gas, N2 and NH3 were added to the gas mixture. The effect of N2 and NH3 gases was also evaluated in the reduction of C content of the films. Radical formation and ionization behaviors in plasma were analyzed by optical emission spectroscopy and mass spectrometry at various pulsed biases and gas conditions. The gas mixture of He and H2 as the carrier gas was very effective in enhancing the dissociation of molecular gases. In the case of N2 addition, N2 as reactive gas resulted in higher hardness. However, NH3 as reactive gas highly reduced the formation of CN radical, thereby greatly decreasing the C content of Zr(C,N) and Ti(C,N) films. The hardness of the film is ...

ProMiR is a web-based service for the prediction of potential microRNAs (miRNAs) in a query sequence of 60-150 nt, using a probabilistic colearning model. Identification of miRNAs requires a computational method to predict clustered and nonclustered, conserved and nonconserved miRNAs in various species. Here we present an improved version of ProMiR for identifying new clusters near known or unknown miRNAs. This new version, ProMiR II, integrates additional evidence, such as free energy data, G/C ratio, conservation score and entropy of candidate sequences, for more controllable prediction of miRNAs in mouse and human genomes. It also provides a wider range of services, e.g. the prediction of miRNA genes in long nonrelated sequences such as viral genomes. Importantly, we have validated this method using several case studies. All data used in ProMiR II are structured in the MySQL database for efficient analysis. In a conventional diffractometer having single monochromator, only one position, parallel position, is used for the diffraction experiment (i.e. detection) because the resolution property of the other one, anti-parallel position, is very poor. However, a bent perfect crystal (BPC) monochromator at monochromatic focusing condition can provide a quite flat and equal resolution property at both parallel and anti-parallel positions and thus one can have a chance to use both sides for the diffraction experiment. From the data of the FWHM and the Δd/d measured on three diffraction geometries (symmetric, asymmetric compression and asymmetric expansion), we can conclude that the simultaneous diffraction measurement in both parallel and anti-parallel positions can be achieved.

Background MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small noncoding RNAs, which play significant roles as posttranscriptional regulators. The functions of animal miRNAs are generally based on complementarity for their 5' components. Although several computational miRNA target-gene prediction methods have been proposed, they still have limitations in revealing actual target genes. Results We implemented miTarget, a support vector machine (SVM) classifier for miRNA target gene prediction. It uses a radial basis function kernel as a similarity measure for SVM features, categorized by structural, thermodynamic, and position-based features. The latter features are introduced in this study for the first time and reflect the mechanism of miRNA binding. The SVM classifier produces high performance with a biologically relevant data set obtained from the literature, compared with previous tools. We predicted significant functions for human miR-1, miR-124a, and miR-373 using Gene Ontology (GO) analysis and revealed the importance of pairing at positions 4, 5, and 6 in the 5' region of a miRNA from a feature selection experiment. We also provide a web interface for the program. Conclusion miTarget is a reliable miRNA target gene prediction tool and is a successful application of an SVM classifier. Compared with previous tools, its predictions are meaningful by GO analysis and its performance can be improved given more training examples.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small endogenous RNAs of ~ 22nt that act as direct post-transcriptional regulators in animals and plants. MicroRNAs generally perform a function by binding to the complementary site on the 3’ untranslated region of its target gene and especially the 8mers on the 5’ part of miRNA seems important as a seed. Computational methods for miRNA target prediction have been focusing on this seed region, but recent researches revealed that the specificity of the seed region may be sharply decreased even by a point mutation. In this paper, we present a kernel method for miRNA target prediction in animals, which improves the prediction performance with biologically sensible data and position-based features reflecting the way of miRNA: mRNA pairing mechanism. In building a training dataset, we choose experimentally verified data only to improve the quality of dataset by excluding randomly synthesized one and consequently to make the result of learning valid. We use sensitivity, specificity, and area under ROC curve as performance measures of our algorithm and compare the results of various dataset configurations. The overall results were 92.1% in sensitivity, 83.3% in specificity, and 0.931 in area under ROC curve. With position-based features, an increase of 3.3% in sensitivity and 1.6% in specificity were observed.

We observed strong ferromagnetism in ZnCoO as a result of high concentration hydrogen absorption. Coating ZnCoO with Pt layer, and ensuing hydrogen treatment with a high isostatic pressure resulted in a highly increased carrier concentration of 1021/cm3. This hydrogen treatment induced a strong ferromagnetism at low temperature that turned to superparamagnetism at about 140 K. We performed density functional method computations and found that the interstitial H dopants promote the ferromagnetic ordering between scattered Co dopants. On the other hand, interstitial hydrogen can decrease the magnetic exchange energy of Co-H-Co complexes, leading to a reduction in the blocking temperature.
