The article discusses the planned irrigation for the Columbia Basin farmland by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. It says that the irrigation water will be taken from the Grand Coulee Dam in Washington through canals and branches. It tackles the need to prioritize the development of farms which will include land leveling. It adds that 75% of the power plus irrigation cost will be paid by the sales of the commercial power in Northwest while the remaining 25% will be paid by the farmer consumers.
