Right hemisphere brain damage often results in visual-spatial deficits. Because various microstructural changes of the superior longitudinal fasciculus (SLF) after a stroke in the right hemisphere affect visual perception, including neglect, the present study investigates the relationship between both microstructural change and lateralization of SLF and visual perception, using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in patients with lesions in the right hemisphere. Eight patients with strokes (five patients with intracranial hemorrhage, and three patients with infarction; mean age of 52.5 years) and 16 mean-age-matched healthy control subjects were involved in this study. The visual perception of all eight patients was assessed with the motor-free visual perception test (MVPT), and their SLFs were reconstructed using DTI. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the DTI parameters of the patients and the control subjects. Moreover, patients with microstructural damage to the right SLF showed impairment of visual perception. In patients with damage to both the dorsal and ventral pathways of the right SLF, spatial neglect was present. However, although a leftward SLF asymmetry was revealed in our patients, this lateralization did not show a relationship with visual perception. In conclusion, the microstructural changes of the right SLF play an important role in visual perception, and both pathways contribute to spatial neglect, but leftward lateralization of the right SFL activity after a stroke does not contribute to general visual perception. Uniformity of luminescence properties in blue InGaN light-emitting diodes has been studied and analyzed by local time-resolved photoluminescence and microelectroluminescence measurements at different biasing. For studied structures, some nonuniform distribution of photoluminescence properties has been observed at reverse biasing conditions. This nonuniformity revealed inhomogeneous distribution of electric field over the active region. It is supposed that nonuniform distribution of acceptors concentration in p-GaN is a source of electric field fluctuations. Microelectroluminescence measurements showed that areas with locally lower acceptor concentration in p-GaN layer emit lower electroluminescence intensity. Investigation of carbon steel corrosion influenced by in-situ microbial communities can provide reliable information about microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) in the oil and gas field. Here, we investigated the 90-day corrosion behavior of Q235 carbon steel influenced by interior deposit microflora of an in-service pipeline using open circuit potential (OCP) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), 16S rRNA gene sequencing, and surface analysis were used to comprehensively analyze the corrosion mechanisms. The results indicated that OCP was decreased while the charge transfer resistance (R ct) was increased, and that steel corrosion was inhibited during the first 45 days. Subsequently, OCP was significantly increased while R ct was rapidly decreased, and steel corrosion was enhanced. After 90-day immersion, severe pitting corrosion with a maximum pit depth of 89.6 μm occurred on the steel surface. Viable microbes in the final biofilm significantly increased the cathodic current. Iron carbonate, chukanovite and cementite were identified as the main corrosion products on the steel surface. Methanobacterium dominated the final biofilm community. These observations indicate that the corrosion mechanism of the final biofilm can be explained by extracellular electron transfer MIC in which microbes corrode steel by direct electron uptake. Many studies have examined the relationship between cognition, and the cingulum and uncinate fasciculus (UF). In this study, diffusion tensor tractography (DTT) was used to investigate the correlation between fractional-anisotropy (FA) values and the number of fibers in the cingulum and UF in patients with and without cognitive impairment. The correlation between cognitive function, and the cingulum and UF was also investigated. Thirty patients (14 males, age = 70.68 ± 7.99 years) were divided into a control group (n = 14) and mild-cognitive-impairment (MCI) group (n = 16). The Seoul Neuropsychological Screening Battery (SNSB) and DTT were performed to assess cognition and bilateral tracts of the cingulum and UF. The relationship between SNSB values and the cingulum and UF was analyzed. The number of fibers in the right cingulum and right UF were significantly different between the two groups. The MCI group showed thinner tracts in both the cingulum and UF compared to the control group. A significant relationship was found between the number of fibers in the right UF and delayed memory recall. In conclusion, memory loss in MCI was associated with a decreased number of fibers in the right UF, while language and visuospatial function were related to the number of fibers in the right cingulum. Previous studies showed that dopamine (DA) significantly reduces the frequency of cancer stem-like cells (CSC) and enhances the efficacy of sunitinib (SUN) in the treatment of breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). To overcome the shortcomings of DA in clinical practice, the purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy as well as the underlying mechanism of an orally available, N-arylpiperazine-containing compound C2, in the treatment of pancreatic cancer when used alone or in combination with SUN. Our results showed that C2 and SUN exerted synergistic effects on inhibiting the growth of SW1990 and PANC-1 pancreatic cancer cells. C2 significantly inhibited colony formation and migration of both cells. SW1990 xenograft and patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models were utilized for pharmacodynamic investigation in vivo. C2 alone showed little inhibition effect on tumor growth but increased the anti-tumor efficacy of SUN in both xenografts. Moreover, C2 down-regulated CSC markers (CD133 and ALDH) of both cancer cells and up-regulated the expression of dopamine receptor D1 (D1DR) in tumor. Besides, the SW1990 tumor growth was dose-dependently inhibited when the cells were pretreated with C2 before implantation. C2 increased intratumoral cAMP level, and the combination with D1DR specific antagonist SCH23390 reversed the above-mentioned effects of C2 both in vitro and in vivo , indicating the activation of D1DR may be involved in the underlying mechanism of C2 action. Pentatricopeptide-repeat (PPR) proteins were identified as a type of nucleus coding protein that is composed of multiple tandem repeats. It has been reported that PPR genes play an important role in RNA editing, plant growth and development, and abiotic stresses in plants. However, the functions of PPR proteins remain largely unknown in soybean. In this study, 179 DYW subgroup PPR genes were identified in soybean genome (Glycine max Wm82.a2.v1). Chromosomal location analysis indicated that DYW subgroup PPR genes were mapped to all 20 chromosomes. Phylogenetic relationship analysis revealed that DYW subgroup PPR genes were categorized into three distinct Clusters (I to III). Gene structure analysis showed that most PPR genes were featured by a lack of intron. Gene duplication analysis demonstrated 30 PPR genes (15 pairs; ~35.7%) were segmentally duplicated among Cluster I PPR genes. Furthermore, we validated the mRNA expression of three genes that were highly up-regulated in soybean drought- and salt-induced transcriptome database and found that the expression levels of GmPPR4 were induced under salt and drought stresses. Under drought stress condition, GmPPR4-overexpressing (GmPPR4-OE) plants showed delayed leaf rolling; higher content of proline (Pro); and lower contents of H2O2, O2− and malondialdehyde (MDA) compared with the empty vector (EV)-control plants. GmPPR4-OE plants exhibited increased transcripts of several drought-inducible genes compared with EV-control plants. A novel approach for indoor localisation is presented and it is composed of two mathematical models. One is a stochastic differential equation proposed to modify time of arrival of a mobile terminal (MT) to a base station (BS). Another is a multivariate optimisation model implemented to estimate the location of the MT by a random search algorithm. Through simulations using only the time of arrivals and measured coordinates of the BSs, the performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated by the measured coordinates of the 25 MTs. We initially identified a pronounced overexpression of USP10 across multiple tumor types, including TNBC. Subsequently, we observed a conspicuous upregulation of USP10 expression levels in breast cancer cell lines compared to normal breast epithelial cells. However, upon subsequent depletion of USP10 within cellular contexts, we noted a substantial attenuation of malignant proliferation and metastatic potential in TNBC cells. In subsequent experimental analyses, we elucidated the physical interaction between USP10 and the transcription factor TCF4, whereby USP10 facilitated the deubiquitination modification of TCF4, consequently promoting its protein stability and contributing to the initiation and progression of TNBC. Background: There was an outbreak of COVID-19 towards the end of 2019 in China, which spread all over the world rapidly. The Chinese healthcare system is facing a big challenge where hospital workers are experiencing enormous psychological pressure. This study aimed to (1) investigate the psychological status of hospital workers and (2) provide references for psychological crisis intervention in the future.Method: An online survey was conducted to collect sociodemographic features, epidemic-related factors, results of PHQ-9, GAD-7, PHQ-15, suicidal and self-harm ideation (SSI), and the score of stress and support scales. Chi-square test, t-test, non-parametric, and logistic regression analysis were used to detect the risk factors to psychological effect and SSI.Results: 8817 hospital workers participated in this online survey. The prevalence of depression, anxiety, somatic symptoms, and SSI were 30.2%, 20.7%, 46.2%, and 6.5%, respectively. Logistic regression analysis showed that female, single, Tujia minority, educational background of junior or below, designated or county hospital, need for psychological assistance before or during the epidemic, unconfident about defeating COVID-19, ignorance about the epidemic, willingness of attending parties, and poor self-rated health condition were independent factors associated with high-level depression, somatic symptom, and SSI among hospital workers (P<0.05).Limitations: This cross-sectional study cannot reveal the causality, and voluntary participation could be prone to selection bias. A modified epidemic-related stress and support scale without standardization was used. The number of hospital workers in each hospital was unavailable.Conclusion: There were a high level of psychological impact and SSI among hospital workers, which needed to be addressed. County hospital workers were more severe and easier to be neglected. More studies on cognitive and behavioral subsequence after a public health disaster among hospital workers are needed. This study aims to verify the mediating role of resilience between self-esteem and mental disability and to analyze the moderating role of gender in the relationship between resilience and mental disability in patients with schizophrenia. Patients with schizophrenia have been selected from Harbin Psychiatric (Baiyupao) Hospital and Daqing Third Hospital in Heilongjiang Province from January to December 2021. The study recruited a total of 220 patients with schizophrenia, including 120 males and 100 females to measure their self-esteem, resilience and mental disability. The results were as follows: Self-esteem and resilience are important protective factors that have a buffering effect on mental disability. The mediating effect of resilience on self-esteem and mental disability is stronger in males than in females. The results provide new ideas for delaying mental disability and for formulating intervention programs and applying them to clinical practice. The study indicates that psychiatric medical staff should not only treat the patients with schizophrenia psychotic symptoms but also improve their self-esteem and resilience through effective intervention to reduce the occurrence of mental disability. In China, a decoction is one of the most common clinical dosage forms. Nanometre aggregates (NAs), which often consist of circular or irregular nanoparticles, have been observed in previous research on decoctions. A Bai-Hu-Tang (BHT) decoction is an ancient clinical dosage form in China. The purpose of this work was to isolate and characterize NAs from BHT and to investigate their antipyretic effect. A BHT decoction was prepared by the traditional method. The mechanism and active components of the aggregates in BHT were investigated by high-speed centrifugation, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography). In addition to the aggregation, therapeutic activities were evaluated through temperature measurements, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, cellular uptake measurements and fluorescence imaging. The majority of the NAs in BHT had diameters of 100 nm, and the spherical structures contained C, O, Mg, Al, Si, Ca, Zn et al. Antipyretic bioactive compounds, such as neomangiferin, mangiferin, glycyrrhizic acid and ammonium glycyrrhizinate, existed in the aggregates. In addition, the NAs in BHT had a better antipyretic effect than the other dispersion phases of BHT. In particular, the nanometre aggregates of Bai-Hu-Tang (N-BHT) were easily taken up by cells, and the fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) signals of NAs were more enriched in the lungs and brain than in other organs over time. These results revealed that the antipyretic effect was associated with the NAs in BHT. The discovery of NAs might present a new perspective for understanding BHT decoctions and even lead to the development of a new nanomedicine approach in traditional Chinese medicine (TCMs). It was aimed to study the migration of lipid and other substances in the tuna head soup, the formation and change of colloidal structures and the interaction between their components. The results indicated that the contents of saturated fatty acids, monounsaturated fatty acids, and poly unsaturated fatty acids both in the broth and pan-fried soup (PFS) reached the maximum with the ratio of fish head pieces to water 1:8, boiling at temperature 90 ± 2 °C for 150 min. In addition, the migration concentrations of lipid and other components in the PFS were higher than that in the broth during cooking process. The results of morphological characteristics of particles indicated that a large number of stable bilayer spherical particles were formed both in the broth and PFS after boiling for 150 min. Analysis of chemical components composition of microstructure in the bigeye tuna head soup showed that unequal-sized triglycerides and protein particles were found while polar lipids and carbohydrates moieties were almost dispersed around particles. The Multi-purpose Time Projection Chamber (TPC) for nuclear AsTrophysical and Exotic beam experiments (MATE) is being upgraded for the decay and active target experiments at the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL). We have developed a gating grid driver to control the transitions between the closed and open states of the gating grid of the MATE-TPC to detect interesting rare decay events from a large amount of implanted ions. The gating grid driver is mainly composed of a digital control unit and a high-voltage switch unit. The digital control unit responds to the external trigger and generates control signals for the operation of the high-voltage control part based on the presetting instruction. The high-voltage switch unit is connected to two negative high voltages with different values and changes the voltages of neighboring wires of the gating grid based on the request for closing or opening the gate. A 500 ns switching time of the gating grid driver has been achieved from the closed to open state. The duration of the open state can be adjusted from 1 µs to 99 ms based on the experimental requirements. [Display omitted] Classifying many-body quantum states with distinct properties and phases of matter is one of the most fundamental tasks in quantum many-body physics. However, due to the exponential complexity that emerges from the enormous numbers of interacting particles, classifying large-scale quantum states has been extremely challenging for classical approaches. Here, we propose a new approach called quantum neuronal sensing. Utilizing a 61-qubit superconducting quantum processor, we show that our scheme can efficiently classify two different types of many-body phenomena: namely the ergodic and localized phases of matter. Our quantum neuronal sensing process allows us to extract the necessary information coming from the statistical characteristics of the eigenspectrum to distinguish these phases of matter by measuring only one qubit and offers better phase resolution than conventional methods, such as measuring the imbalance. Our work demonstrates the feasibility and scalability of quantum neuronal sensing for near-term quantum processors and opens new avenues for exploring quantum many-body phenomena in larger-scale systems. Background: High-frequency transcutaneous neuromuscular electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is currently used for the administration of electrical current in denervated muscle to alleviate muscle atrophy and enhance motor function; however, the time window (i.e. either immediate or delayed) for achieving benefit is still undetermined. In this study, we conducted an intervention of sciatic nerve crush injury using high-frequency TENS at different time points to assess the effect of motor and sensory functional recovery.Results: Animals with left sciatic nerve crush injury received TENS treatment starting immediately after injury or 1 week later at a high frequency(100 Hz) or at a low frequency (2 Hz) as a control. In SFI gait analysis, either immediate or late admission of high-frequency electrical stimulation exerted significant improvement compared to either immediate or late administration of low-frequency electrical stimulation. In an assessment of allodynia, immediate high frequency electrical stimulation caused a significantly decreased pain threshold compared to late high-frequency or low-frequency stimulation at immediate or late time points. Immunohistochemistry staining and western blot analysis of S-100 and NF-200 demonstrated that both immediate and late high frequency electrical stimulation showed a similar effect; however the effect was superior to that achieved with low frequency stimulation. Immediate high frequency electrical stimulation resulted in significant expression of TNF-α and synaptophysin in the dorsal root ganglion, somatosensory cortex, and hippocampus compared to late electrical stimulation, and this trend paralleled the observed effect on somatosensory evoked potential. The CatWalk gait analysis also showed that immediate electrical stimulation led to a significantly high regularity index. In primary dorsal root ganglion cells culture, high-frequency electrical stimulation also exerted a significant increase in expression of TNF-α, synaptophysin, and NGF in accordance with the in vivo results.Conclusion: Immediate or late transcutaneous high-frequency electrical stimulation exhibited the potential to stimulate the motor nerve regeneration. However, immediate electrical stimulation had a predilection to develop neuropathic pain. Changes in the ecosystem structure and ecosystem service value of the Fuping basin of the Daqing River from 1985 to 2015, as ascertained through remote sensing and a value assessment model, respectively, showed that forest land had contributed the most to the total ecosystem service value, followed by cultivated land and grassland. The ecosystem structure had changed markedly, the area under different land uses showing both positive and negative changes: the positive changes were in construction land (139.57%), forest land (90.66%), cultivated land (68.79%), and water body (6.55%), and the negative changes were in unused land (-83.48%) and grassland (-54.92%). The ecosystem services were valued, in billions of yuan RMB, at 4.429 in 1985, 4.462 in 1990, 4.465 in 1995, 5.808 in 2000, 5.171 in 2005, 5.322 in 2010, and 5.272 in 2015. Of the various ecosystem services, soil conservation made the largest contribution, followed by biodiversity protection, gas regulation, and climate regulation. In this study, a novel wide-bandgap conjugate donor-acceptor type copolymer, PBDT-TFMTh, containing benzodithiophene (BDT) as a donor unit and trifluoromethyl (TFM)-substituted thiophene (Th) as an acceptor unit was designed and synthesized. The physical, optical, and electrochemical properties of PBDT-TFMTh were studied in detail and it was found to have lower-lying highest occupied and lowest unoccupied molecular orbitals. The polymer solar cell with an active layer consisting of PBDT-TFMTh and acceptor IDT(TCV)2 showed a relatively high power conversion efficiency of 2.25% after thermal annealing at 120 °C. Background: High‐dose dual therapy (HDDT) is an emerging and promising therapeutic regime for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication. However, the pharmacokinetics of the components of HDDT, amoxicillin and proton pump inhibitor, are likely to be affected by body size. In this study, we aimed to find out the impact of body size on the efficacy of HDDT. Methods: We collected the medical data of 385 treatment‐naive patients infected with H. pylori who received HDDT (esomeprazole 20 mg and amoxicillin 750 mg four times daily) for 14 days from July 2020 to December 2021. The associations among the eradication efficacy, adverse events, and variables (sex, age, height, body weight, body mass index (BMI), body surface area (BSA), smoking, drinking, etc.) were analyzed respectively in our study. Among these factors, continuous variables were classified into categorical variables using the cut‐off values which were calculated by receiver operating characteristic analysis. Results: The eradication rate of HDDT was 89.9%. There were 55 (14.3%) patients who occurred adverse events during the treatment. Patients with height <170.5 cm, body weight <60.5 kg, BMI <20.55 kg/m2, BSA <1.69 m2 had a higher eradication rate (92.1% vs. 84.0%, 93.1% vs. 86.8%, 96.0% vs. 87.8%, 93.4% vs. 84.8%, all p <.05). The multivariate analysis showed that BSA ≥1.69 m2 (OR 2.53, 95% CI: 1.28–4.99, p =.007) was the only independent predictor of eradication failure. Conclusion: HDDT could achieve better eradication efficacy in patients with small BSA. Aim: The triglyceride–glucose (TyG) index has been shown to be an independent predictor for the progression and prognosis of coronary artery disease (CAD). Whether the TyG index predicts the severity of CAD in patients presenting with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) remains unknown. Methods: A total of 1,007 individuals presenting with ACS undergoing coronary angiography were stratified according to the tertiles of the TyG index and The Synergy Between Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (SYNTAX) score (SYNTAX score ≤ 22 versus SYNTAX score > 22). CAD complexity was determined by the SYNTAX score. Results: After adjusting for multiple confounding factors, the TyG index was still an independent risk factor for mid/high SYNTAX scores (SYNTAX score > 22, OR 2.6452, 95% CI 1.9020–3.6786, P < 0.0001). Compared with the lowest tertile of the TyG (T1) group, the risk for a mid/high SYNTAX score in the T2 and T3 groups was 2.574-fold higher (OR, 2.574; 95% CI 1.610–4.112; P < 0.001) and 3.732-fold higher (OR, 3.732; 95% CI 2.330–5.975; P < 0.001), respectively. Furthermore, there was a dose‒response relationship between the TyG index and the risk of complicated CAD (SYNTAX score > 22; nonlinear P = 0.200). The risk for a mid/high SYNTAX score in the T2 and T3 groups was significantly higher in normoglycemia, prediabetes mellitus, and diabetes mellitus subgroups. Conclusions: A higher TyG index was associated with the presence of a higher coronary anatomical complexity (SYNTAX score > 22) in ACS patients, irrespective of diabetes mellitus status. Determination of polarization states of electromagnetic waves plays a crucial role in photonic applications. However, it is very challenging to determine the polarization state of continuous terahertz (THz) waves. Here, a metasurface‐like metallic waveguide array (MWA) is proposed to address this by measuring both the phase difference and amplitude ratio of its two orthogonal components based on generation and interference of polarization‐multiplexing vortex beams. When a full‐polarized THz wave passes through the MWA, its two orthogonal components will be converted into +1st‐ and −1st‐order Bessel vortex beams, respectively. Their projection components in a proper polarized direction can interfere with each other, and their initial phase difference can be measured in real‐time owing to its linear relationship with the azimuth of the dark fringe in interference patterns. The two Bessel beams can be further collected separately using a linear polarizer to obtain their amplitude ratio. Therefore, the polarization state of incident waves can be determined with both the phase difference and amplitude ratio. The proposed method enables a convenient polarization determination of continuous THz waves and has great potential for developing polarization‐dependent investigations and applications in THz detection, communication, and sensing. Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary cashew nut testa (CNT) as an alternative feed ingredient to wheat bran on reproductive performance, litter performance, milk composition, and blood profiles of gestating sows. Methods: Forth multiparous sows (YorkshirexLandrace) were fed experimental diets starting at 35 days of pregnancy and an initial average body weight (BW) of 211.53±8.86 kg. Each sow was assigned to a treatment based on BW, backfat thickness (BF) and parity with 10 sows per treatment. Treatments were as follows: i) cornsoybean meal based diet with 6% of wheat bran (C0); ii) basal diet with 2% of CNT and 4% of wheat bran (C2); iii) basal diet with 4% of CNT and 2% of wheat bran (C4); and iv) basal diet with 6% of CNT (C6). Results: There were no statistically significant differences in BW and BF of gestating sows throughout the experimental period. However, changes in BF (p = 0.09) and the daily feed intake of sows (p = 0.09) tended to linearly increase during the lactation period. The weaning to estrus interval (WEI) showed a quadratic response to CNT treatment (p = 0.02), and the C2 diet showed the shortest WEI. Litter birth weight (p = 0.04) and piglet birth weight (p = 0.06) were linearly decreased with increase in CNT. Furthermore, there had no significant differences in piglet weight and litter weight in 21 day. Insulin concentration at day 70 of gestation was linearly reduced with increasing CNT level in diets (p = 0.03). Conclusion: When 6% CNT replaced wheat bran in gestating sow diets, there were no negative effects on sow performance, but litter birth weight and piglet birth weight were decreased when CNT level increased in gestating sow diets. BACKGROUND: The inadequacy samples caused by the internal characteristic structure of thyroid nodules are difficult to be solved. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the ultrasound features affecting the sample adequacy after fine-needle aspiration (FNA) of thyroid nodules with different risk stratification. METHODS: 592 thyroid nodules that underwent ultrasound-guided FNA were included in this retrospective study. The sample obtained by FNA were classified as inadequacy and adequacy according to the cytopathological results. Ultrasound features (ie., size, position, cystic predominance, composition, echo, shape, margin, and superficial annular calcification status) of the nodules were recorded and compared between the inadequacy sample group and adequacy sample group. RESULTS: Multiple logistic regression shows that preponderant cystic proportion (OR, 0.384; P = 0.041), extremely hypoechogenicity and hypoechogenicity (OR, 6.349; P = 0.006) were the independent influencing factors of inadequate samples after FNA in benign expected nodules. In addition, nodule size ≤10 mm (OR, 1.960; P = 0.010) and superficially annular calcification (OR, 4.600; P < 0.001) were independent influencing factors for inadequate samples after FNA in malignant expected nodules. CONCLUSION: The ultrasound features of hypoechogenicity or high cystic proportion in benign expected nodules and that of small size or annular calcification in malignant expected nodules were the risk factors for inadequacy samples by US-guided FNA. Aim. Hyperuricemia (HUA) has received increased attention in the last few decades due to its global prevalence. Our previous study found that administration of a macroporous resin extract of Dendrobium officinale leaves (DoMRE) to rats with HUA that was induced by exposure to potassium oxazine combined with fructose and a high-purine diet led to a significant reduction in serum uric acid (SUA) levels. The aim of this study was to explore the effects of DoMRE on hyperuricemia induced by anthropomorphic unhealthy lifestyle and to elucidate its possible mechanisms of action. Methods. Dosages (5.0 and 10.0 g/kg/day) of DoMRE were administered to rats daily after induction of HUA by anthropomorphic unhealthy lifestyle for 12 weeks. The levels of UA in the serum, urine, and feces; the levels of creatinine (Cr) in the serum and urine; and the levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) in serum were all measured using an automatic biochemical analyzer. The activities of xanthine oxidase (XOD) and adenosine deaminase (ADA) in the serum, liver, and intestine tissue supernatant were measured using appropriate kits for each biological target. The expressions levels of UA transporters (ABCG2 and GLUT9), tight junction (TJ) proteins (ZO-1 and occludin), and inflammatory factors (IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α) in the intestine were assayed by immunohistochemical (IHC) staining. Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining was used to assess histological changes in the renal and intestinal tissues. Results. DoMRE treatment significantly reduced SUA levels and concomitantly increased fecal UA (FUA) levels and the fractional excretion of UA (FEUA) in HUA rats. Furthermore, DoMRE significantly reduced both the XOD activity in the serum, liver, and intestine and the ADA activity in the liver and intestine. DoMRE also effectively regulated the expression of GLUT9 and ABCG2 in the intestine, and it significantly upregulated the expression of the intestinal TJ proteins ZO-1 and occludin. Therefore, DoMRE reduced the damage to the intestinal barrier function caused by the increased production of inflammatory factors due to HUA to ensure normal intestinal UA excretion. Conclusion. DoMRE demonstrated anti-HUA effects in the HUA rat model induced by an anthropomorphic unhealthy lifestyle, and the molecular mechanism appeared to involve the regulation of urate transport-related transporters (ABCG2 and GLUT9) in the intestine, protection of the intestinal barrier function to promote UA excretion, and inhibition of XOD and ADA activity in the liver and intestine to inhibit UA production in the HUA-induced rats. Objective: Our present study intended to examine the associations of RPEL1 and miR-1307 gene polymorphisms (rs4917385 and rs7911488) with susceptibility, glucocorticoids (GCs) efficacy, anxiety, depression, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in Chinese systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients. Methods: Initially, 1000 participants (500 SLE cases and 500 controls) were recruited for the case–control study. Then, 429 cases who received GCs were followed through 12 weeks to explore GCs efficacy, depression, anxiety, and HRQoL. We selected the iMLDR technique for genotyping: RPEL1: rs4917385 (G/T) and miR-1307: rs7911488 (A/G). Results: The minor G allele of rs7911488 reduced the risk of SLE (p =.024). Four haplotypes consisting of rs4917385 and rs7911488 were associated with SLE susceptibility (p <.025). Both rs4917385 and rs7911488 were associated with anxiety symptoms and physical function (PF) in SLE patients (p <.025). The rs4917385 was associated with depression and its improvement. No statistical significance was found between RPEL1 and miR-1307 gene polymorphisms with GCs efficacy. Meanwhile, additive interaction analysis showed a significant association between RPEL1 and miR-1307 gene polymorphisms with tea consumption in anxiety. Conclusion: RPEL1 and miR-1307 gene polymorphisms (rs4917385 and rs7911488) might be related to SLE susceptibility in Chinese population. For the 7-nm technology node, cell placement with a drain-to-drain abutment (DDA) requires additional filler cells, increasing the placement area. This is the first work to fully automatically synthesize a DDA-aware cell library with the optimized number of drains on cell boundary based on ASAP 7-nm PDK. We propose a DDA-aware dynamic programming-based transistor placement. Previous works ignore the use of the M0 layer in cell routing. We first propose an ILP-based M0 routing planning. With M0 routing, the congestion of M1 routing can be reduced and the pin accessibility (PA) can be improved due to the diminished use of M2 routing. We also present a quadratic-programming based-coupling-capacitance-aware initial routing to optimize cell delay, cell area, and M2 usage. To improve the routing resource utilization, we propose an implicitly adjustable grid map, making the maze routing able to explore more routing solutions. The experimental results show that block placement using the DDA-aware cell library requires fewer filler cells than that using the traditional cell library by 25.1%, which achieves a block area reduction rate of 0.97%. Simple Summary: The β-defensin-1 (BD-1) is rich in disulfide bonds and antibacterial peptides with direct bactericidal function activity. Equine BD-1 was initially reported in 2004, however, there are no reports on the specific mechanisms that characterize the impact of Equine BD-1 on innate immune function. In this study, we map the tissue distribution of Equus BD-1 (i.e., Equine BD-1, ass BD-1, and mule BD-1) and compare their expression levels in various tissues, and we showed that Equine BD-1, ass BD-1, and mule BD-1 have an identical (100%) open reading frame (ORF). Next, we expressed the ORF of Equus BD-1 sequence fragment (OEBD-1) in the E. coli expression system and used this to treat an S. aureus-infected murine macrophage cell line in vitro. Results indicated that the OEBD-1 increased cytokines expression and associated signaling pathway, furthermore, OEBD-1 promoted macrophage phagocytose S. aureus in vitro. The report provides a theoretical basis for the development of defensins as potential alternatives to antibiotics. Beta-defensin-1 (BD-1) is among the class of antibacterial peptides that are rich in disulfide bonds, have direct antibacterial activity and showed enhanced expression following external stimulation. In this study, we map the tissue distribution of Equus BD-1 (i.e., eBD-1, ass BD-1, and mule BD-1) and compare their expression levels in various tissues. We further characterize the three kinds of Equus BD-1 by analyzing their full-length cDNA. We showed that eBD-1, ass BD-1, and mule BD-1 have an identical (100%) open reading frame (ORF). The ORF encoding OEBD-1 expressed the ORF in the E. coli Top10 expression system. This expression system was combined with an S. aureus-infected J774A.1 macrophage cell line to determine the influence on innate immune mediator expression. Using this expression model system, it was determined that the OEBD-1 protein enhanced IL-6 and TNF-α secretion. It can also promote TLR2, IL-1β, CCL2, CCL7, CXCL10 and NF-κB p65 mRNA expression. Moreover, OEBD-1 upregulates phosphorylation of ATK, Syk and IκB-α. In addition, OEBD-1 enhances the macrophage's ability to phagocytose S. aureus. Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common and aggressive primary malignant tumor of the central nervous system. GBM has a very low 5-year survival rate and reaching merely a median of ~15 months even with aggressive treatments. PPARγ (Peroxisome proliferator- activated receptor gamma) agonists (ciglitazone), while being widely used on patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus, also have approved anticancer effects. Their action mechanisms on malignant glioma are not fully understood. The aim of this study is to investigate the potential therapeutic effect of PPARγ agonists on maligant glioma. Glioma cell line and in-vivo/ex-vivo animal model intervened by ciglitazone were used to assess the associated mechanism and therapeutic effect. Our results from in vivo and ex vivo experiments showed that ciglitazone not only inhibited tumor growth and its associated angiogenesis, but it also reduced colony formation and migration of tumors. Ciglitazone inhibited the phosphorylation of STAT3 (signal transducer and activator of transcription 3) (at the point of tyrosine 705 by increasing both the amount and activity of SHP-2 (Src homology region 2-containing protein tyrosine phosphatase 2) proteins, based on evidence obtained from immunoprecipitation and immunohistochemistry. Furthermore, ciglitazone activated proteasomes and lysosomes to degrade cell-cycle-related proteins like Cyclin D1, Cyclin E, CDK2 (Cyclin-dependent kinase 2), and CDK4 (Cyclin-dependent kinase 4). Ciglitazone triggered expressions of LC3 (Microtubule-associated protein 1A/1B-light chain 3) and formation of acidic vesicular organelles (AVOs), both of which were implicated in the autophagy pathway. [Display omitted] Electroacupuncture (EA), as a particular type of electrostimulation treatment, has an extensive application in the field of biomedicine. Triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) has sparked significant concern attributed to the high electrical output with low cost, whose electrical signals can also be directly usable for electrical stimulation. Here we propose a Chinese medicine EA treatment with the assistance of TENG technology, in which a bidirectional continuous current from a soft-contact freestanding rotary TENG (FR-TENG) is applied to two effective acupoints of rats by inserting electric needles. The TENG-driven EA treatment promotes the performance of gait 2 weeks after as well as the Basso–Beattie–Bresnahan (BBB) score. This elevation last as long as 4 weeks post injury. Moreover, the TENG-driven EA treatment enhances neuron survival in the ventral horn and inhibits astrocyte activation in the lesion site. Therefore, the TENG-driven EA treatment provides a significant neuroprotection effect on spinal cord contusion in rats. Our studies not only demonstrate the possibility of the TENG-driven EA treatment for traumatic central nervous system injuries but also provide an experimental basis for the prevention and treatment of diseases by traditional Chinese medicine treatment. In order to study the spatial structure and dynamical mechanism of extreme precipitation in East Asia, a corresponding climate network is constructed by employing the method of event synchronization. It is found that the area of East Asian summer extreme precipitation can be separated into two regions: one with high area-weighted connectivity receiving heavy precipitation mostly during the active phase of the East Asian Summer Monsoon (EASM), and another one with low area-weighted connectivity receiving heavy precipitation during both the active and the retreating phase of the EASM. Besides, a new way for the prediction of extreme precipitation is also developed by constructing a directed climate networks. The simulation accuracy in East Asia is 58% with a 0-day lead, and the prediction accuracy is 21% and average 12% with a 1-day and an n-day (2≤n≤10) lead, respectively. Compared to the normal EASM year, the prediction accuracy is low in weak years and high in strong years, which is relevant to the differences of correlations and extreme precipitation rates in different EASM situations. Tribulus terrestris (T. terrestris) has been used as a traditional medicine for the treatment of a variety of diseases, including inflammation, edema and hypertension. The aqueous and ethanol extracts of T. terrestris contain alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, quinines and phenolic compounds. Tribulusamide D is a compound that has been isolated from the ethanol extract of T. terrestris. The present study investigated the anti‑inflammatory effect of tribulusamide D on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‑stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages. Tribulusamide D inhibited the production of LPS‑induced nitric oxide and prostaglandin E2, by reducing the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase and cyclooxygenase‑2 expression, respectively. The expression of these genes associated with inflammation was determined using reverse transcription‑polymerase chain reaction and western blot analysis. Furthermore, tribulusamide D reduced the expression of LPS‑induced inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin (IL)‑6, IL‑10 and tumor necrosis factor‑α. They were quantified using an enzyme‑linked immunosorbent assay. In addition, the present study confirmed that the inhibitory effects of tribulusamide D on the inflammatory response were mediated through inactivation of mitogen‑activated protein kinase p38 and inhibition of nuclear localization of nuclear factor‑B, which were also determined by western blot analysis. To the best of our knowledge, the current study is the first to demonstrate that tribulusamide D exerts anti‑inflammatory activity by altering the expression of inflammatory mediators and cytokines, indicating that tribulusamide D could be developed as a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of inflammatory disorders. The DArk Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE) is a general purpose satellite-borne high energy γ − ray and cosmic ray detector. Among the scientific objectives of DAMPE are the search for the origin of cosmic rays and an understanding of the Dark Matter particles. As one of the four detectors in DAMPE, the Plastic Scintillator Detector (PSD) plays an important role in the particle charge measurement and the photons/electrons discrimination. It can identify the atomic number Z/charge states of relativistic ions from H to Fe and the detection efficiency for Z = 1 particles can reach 0.9999. The PSD has been working reliably since the successfully launching of DAMPE on December 17, 2015. A novel polyethylene glycol methacrylate-grafted tetra-ethylene glycol-bridged dicationic imidazolium-based ionic liquid (PEGMA- g -TEGBDIM) was prepared by grafting tetra-ethylene glycol-bridged 1-vinyl imidazolium mesylate to the surface of cross-linked polyethylene glycol methacrylate. Its structure was characterized by FT–IR, NMR, TGA, and XPS. Due to the combination of polymer-supports and flexible imidazolium linkers, it acted as a heterogeneous catalyst to exhibit excellent catalytic activity for the efficient synthesis of N -methyl-2-nitro-aryl-benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2- a ]pyrimidine amines via the multicomponent reaction of 1 H -benzo[ d ]imidazol-2-amine ( 1 ) and ( E )- N -methyl-1-(methylthio)-2-nitroethenamine ( 3 ) with a variety of aldehydes under solvent-free conditions. Moreover, PEGMA- g -TEGBDIM was easily reused and it maintained its high catalytic activity and stability even after seven reaction-cycles. Recent progress of the preparation and applications of superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) clusters as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) probes is reviewed with regard to their applications in labeling and tracking cells in vivo, in diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and tumors, and in drug delivery systems. Magnetic nanoparticles (NPs), especially SPIO nanoparticles, have long been used as MRI contrast agents and as an advantageous nanoplatform for drug delivery, taking advantage of their unique magnetic properties and ability to function at the molecular and cellular levels. Due to advances in nanotechnology, various means to control SPIO NPs’ size, composition, magnetization and relaxivity have been developed, as well as ways to usefully modify their surface. Recently, self-assembly of SPIO NP clusters in particulate carriers—such as polymeric micelles, vesicles, liposomes, and layer-by-layer (LbL) capsules—have been widely studied for application as ultrasensitive MRI probes, owing to their remarkably high spin–spin (T2) relaxivity and convenience for further functionalization. Quatum nonlocality as a valuable resource is of vital importance in quantum information processing. The characterization of the resource has been extensively investigated mainly for pure states, while relatively less is know for mixed states. Here we prove the existence of the optimal GHZ paradox by using a novel and simple method to extract an optimal state that can saturate the tradeoff relation between quantum nonlocality and the state purity. In this paradox, the logical inequality which is formulated by the GHZ-typed event probabilities can be violated maximally by the optimal state for any fixed amount of purity (or mixedness). Moreover, the optimal state can be described as a standard GHZ state suffering flipped color noise. The maximal amount of noise that the optimal state can resist is 50%. Existing studies suggested that ambient temperature may affect the attack of acute appendicitis. However, the identification of the quantitative effect and vulnerable populations are still unknown. The purposes of this study were to quantify the impact of daily mean temperature on the hospitalization of acute appendicitis and clarify vulnerable groups, further guide targeted prevention of acute appendicitis in Tongling. Daily data of cases and meteorological factors were collected in Tongling, China, during 2015–2019. Time stratified case-crossover design and conditional logistic regression model were used to evaluate the odds ratio (OR) of ambient temperature on hospitalizations for acute appendicitis. Stratified analyses were performed by sex, age, and marital status. The odds ratio (OR) of hospitalizations for acute appendicitis increased by 1.6% for per 1 ℃ rise in mean temperature at lag3[OR = 1.016, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.004–1.028]. In addition, our results suggest it is in the women that increased ambient temperature is more likely to contribute to acute appendicitis hospitalizations; we also found that the married are more susceptible to acute appendicitis hospitalizations due to increased ambient temperature than the unmarried; people in the 21–40 years old are more sensitive to ambient temperature than other age groups. The significant results of the differences between the subgroups indicate that the differences between the groups are all statistically significant. The elevated ambient temperatures increased the risk of hospitalizations for acute appendicitis. The females, married people, and patients aged 21–40 years old were more susceptible to ambient temperature. Chicken infectious anemia (CIA) is an immunosuppressive disease caused by chicken infectious anemia virus (CIAV) that poses a great threat to the poultry industry worldwide. At present, vaccination is an important way to prevent and control CIA. Apart from a CIAV-attenuated vaccine used in clinical practice, the research and development of a genetically engineered vaccine has good prospects. However, it is difficult to induce a strong protective effect with a single subunit vaccine or DNA vaccine. Therefore, the goal of this study is to develop and evaluate a DNA prime/protein boost vaccine strategy for defense against CIAV infection and spread. In this study, the recombinant proteins of CIAV VP1 and VP2 were prepared using an Escherichia coli (E. coli) expression system, and the eukaryotic expression plasmid pBud-VP1-VP2 was constructed. Subsequently, the effects of the DNA prime/protein boost strategy on antibody production and cellular immunity response were measured. The results showed that combined vaccination could induce a higher antibody titer than those of a DNA vaccine or subunit vaccine alone. In addition, spleen lymphocyte index (SI) and IL-2, IL-4, and IFN-γ levels were also significant in chickens the received the combined vaccination. To further investigate the protective effect of DNA prime/protein boost vaccination, a CIAV challenge experiment was carried out. The results showed that infection with CIAV reduced the hematocrit value (Hct) and thymus index, while vaccination recovered this reduction, and the combined immunization group was the least affected by CIAV infection. Furthermore, the CIAV viral load in the combined immunization group was the lowest, indicating that the combined immunization could provide a better protective efficacy. In conclusion, the DNA prime and recombinant protein boost vaccination can be used as an important anti-CIAV strategy, which can induce both enhanced cellular and humoral immunity responses in chickens and provide a new avenue for CIAV prevention and control. Rapid and accurate detection and serotyping of foot‐and‐mouth disease (FMD) virus (FMDV) is essential for implementing control policies against emergent FMD outbreaks. Current serotyping assays, such as VP1 reverse transcription‐polymerase chain reaction (RT‐PCR)/sequencing (VP1 RT‐PCR/sequencing) and antigen detection enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), have problems with increasing serotyping failure of FMDVs from FMD outbreaks. This study was conducted to develop a multiplex real‐time RT‐PCR for specific detection and differential serotyping of FMDV serotype O, A, and Asia 1 directly from field clinical samples. Primers and probes were designed based on 571 VP1 coding region sequences originated from seven pools. Multiplex real‐time RT‐PCR using these primers and probes demonstrated serotype‐specific detection with enhanced sensitivity compared to VP1 RT‐PCR/sequencing for reference FMDV (n = 24). Complete serotyping conformity between the developed multiplex real‐time RT‐PCR and previous VP1 RT‐PCR/sequencing was demonstrated using FMDV field viruses (n = 113) prepared in cell culture. For FMDV field clinical samples (n = 55), the serotyping rates of multiplex real‐time RT‐PCR and VP1 RT‐PCR/sequencing were 92.7% (51/55) and 72.7% (40/55), respectively. Moreover, the developed multiplex real‐time RT‐PCR demonstrated improved FMDV detection (up to 33.3%) and serotyping (up to 67.7%) capabilities for saliva samples when compared with 3D real‐time RT‐PCR and VP1 RT‐PCR/sequencing, during 10 days of challenge infection with FMDV serotype O, A, and Asia 1. Collectively, this study suggests that the newly developed multiplex real‐time RT‐PCR assay may be useful for the detection and differential serotyping of FMDV serotype O, A, and Asia 1 in the field. Cordyceps militaris (CM) is a popular medicinal fungus; however, few studies have focused on its impact on the male reproductive system. We evaluated the effects of CM fermentation products on the reproductive development of juvenile male (JM) mice. Mice were divided into four experimental groups, each fed 5% CM products (weight per weight (w/w) in normal diet): extracellular polysaccharides (EPS), fermentation broth (FB), mycelia (MY), and whole fermentation products (FB plus MY, FBMY) for 28 days, while mice in the control group (CT) were fed a normal diet. Basic body parameters, testicular structure, sperm parameters, and sex hormones concentrations were analyzed. Compared to the CT group, mice in the EPS, MY, and FBMY groups showed a significantly increased mean seminiferous tubule area (p < 0.05), mice in the FB and MY groups had significantly higher sperm concentrations (p < 0.05), and mice in the EPS, FB, and FBMY groups showed significantly increased ratios of motile sperm (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, EPS significantly promoted the ability of JM mice to synthesize testosterone (p < 0.05). Furthermore, all CM products significantly increased the food intake of JM mice (p < 0.05) but did not significantly change their water intake and body weight gain (p > 0.05). Background: The Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) score derived from clinical parameters at the time of hospital discharge is a powerful predictor of long-term mortality and reinfarction after acute coronary syndrome (ACS). The triglyceride glucose (TyG) index, which is a simple and reliable surrogate marker of insulin resistance, has been demonstrated to be an independent predictor of long-term adverse major adverse cardiac events, irrespective of diabetes mellitus. We investigate whether the addition of the TyG index improves the predictive ability of the GRACE score after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in ACS patients regardless of diabetes mellitus. Method: A retrospective cohort of 986 ACS patients undergoing PCI was enrolled in the present analyses. The GRACE score for discharge to 6 months and the TyG index were calculated. The primary endpoint was the composite of MACEs, including all-cause death and nonfatal myocardial infarction. Patients were stratified according to the primary endpoint and the tertiles of the TyG index. Cumulative curves were calculated using the Kaplan–Meier method. Multivariate Cox regression was adopted to identify predictors of MACEs. The predictive value of the GRACE score alone and combined with the TyG index or fasting blood glucose (FBG) was estimated by the area under the receiver‑operating characteristic curve, likelihood ratio test, Akaike's information criteria, continuous net reclassification improvement (NRI), and integrated discrimination improvement (IDI). Internal validation was assessed using the means of bootstrap method with 1000 bootstrapped samples. Results: During a median follow-up of 30.72 months ((interquartile range, 26.13 to 35.07 months), 90 patients developed MACEs, more frequently in the patients with a higher TyG index. Multivariate Cox hazards regression analysis found that the TyG index, but not FBG was an independent predictor of MACEs (hazard ratio 1.6542; 95% CI 1.1555–2.3681; P = 0.006) in all types of ACS regardless of diabetes mellitus when included in the same model as GRACE score. Furthermore, Kaplan–Meier analysis revealed that the incidence of the primary endpoint rose with increasing TyG index tertiles (log-rank, P < 0.01). Adjustment the GRACE score by the TyG index improved the predictive ability for MACEs (increase in C-statistic value from 0.735 to 0.744; NRI, 0.282, 95% CI 0.028–0.426, P = 0.02; IDI, 0.019, 95% CI 0.004–0.046, P = 0.01). Likelihood ratio test showed that the TyG index significantly improved the prognostic ability of the GRACE score (χ2 = 12.37, 1 df; P < 0.001). The results remained consistent when the models were confirmed by internal bootstrap validation method. Conclusion: The TyG index, but not FBG is an independent predictor of long-term MACEs after PCI in all types of ACS patients regardless of diabetes mellitus after adjusting for the GRACE score, and improves the ability of the GRACE score to stratify risk and predict prognosis of ACS patients undergoing PCI. Simple Summary: Aphids are major crop pests worldwide, and in China, Uroleucon formosanum is a common aphid pest of lettuce. However, there is little basic and applied information on the control of this pest. To obtain the basic information of this pest, a life table of U. formosanum under different temperatures was constructed. Also, the susceptibility of U. formosanum to six common-used insecticides (chlorpyrifos, abamectin, beta-cypermethrin, imidacloprid, nitenpyram, and thiamethoxam) was evaluated. Results showed that U. formosanum was not suitable to a lower temperature (17 °C), and U. formosanum was relatively sensitive to all six test insecticides. These data may help us to develop integrated management strategies for better population control of U. formosanum. Uroleucon formosanum is an important aphid pest of lettuce, but basic information on its biology is scarce. In this study, effects of three constant temperatures (17, 21, and 25 °C, simulating the mean temperature range in greenhouses) on the development and fecundity of U. formosanum were analyzed by constructing a life table. U. formosanum could develop and reproduce under all three temperatures, but the survival rate, development, and fecundity of U. formosanum were affected by temperature. The intrinsic rate of increase was lowest at 17 °C (0.17) and it was significantly less than at 21 °C (0.20) and 25 °C (0.23). Furthermore, U. formosanum had the lowest finite rate of increase (1.19) and the largest mean generation time (20.21) at 17 °C. These results mean that U. formosanum is less adapted to the lower temperatures (17 °C) among these three set temperatures. To screen insecticides for control, susceptibility of U. formosanum to six insecticides including chlorpyrifos, abamectin, beta-cypermethrin, imidacloprid, nitenpyram, and thiamethoxam was evaluated. U. formosanum was relatively sensitive to all six test insecticides. Chlorpyrifos had the highest toxicity to U. formosanum (LC50 = 3.08 mg/L). Implementing an exciplex host system in the emitting layer is crucial for achieving highly efficient thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) and phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). In this study, we successfully designed and synthesized 3-((3 r ,5 r ,7 r)-adamantan-1-yl)-9-(dibenzo[ b,d ]thiophen-2-yl)-9 H -carbazole (AdCz-DBT) and 9-(dibenzo[ b,d ]thiophen-2-yl)-9 H -carbazole (Cz-DBT) as p -type hosts for the exciplex host implementation, and 7-(4-(tert -butyl)phenyl)-5,9-dioxa-13 b -boranaphtho[3,2,1- de ]anthracene (tPDBA) as an n -type host. The AdCz-DBT host incorporates a large and robust adamantane group into Cz-DBT, increasing molecular weight, film-forming properties and thermal stability. Additionally, AdCz-DBT maintains energy levels and photophysical properties similar to those of adamantane-free Cz-DBT. Efficient exciplex emission was observed in the blend film due to well-matched energy levels of the synthesized p - and n -type hosts. The introduction of adamantane into Cz-DBT did not hinder exciplex formation, resulting in a relatively high photoluminescence quantum yield and improved charge balance in the mixed host with tPDBA. Ultimately, the solution-processed blue TADF-OLED with the AdCz-DBT:tPDBA blend host demonstrated a relatively high external quantum efficiency of 8.00% and a long operational lifetime, exhibiting excellent performance compared to devices using the Cz-DBT:tPDBA blend host.
