Gender equity has been one of the great concerns for various social disciplines; It includes the dignity of the feminine condition, as well as its insertion within the diverse spaces of social action. In response to the above, the article, developed under the hermeneutic-documentary method, aims to analyze gender, understood as a social construct, which establishes differentiations between human beings, determined by particularities that are their own and inherent to their identity. Likewise, it explores the concept of multiculturalism, which calls for the recognition of existing diversity, urging respect and tolerance of the different actors. However, at present, the theoretical interpretations possible by the decolonial, considering that the multicultural perspective is insufficient to address cultural problems and differentiations, so it proposes to transcend towards the critical intercultural approach, which is an anti-systemic and anti-hegemonic perspective, which tends to build dialogical relationships, which do not start from equality, but from difference. In other words, it recognizes what defines and differentiates women, cultures, struggles and historical trajectories that they have had to go through to reach the recognition of their rights and insertion within society. It is not about the simple fact of recognizing or tolerating the other, but of establishing relationships from the epistemic, ontological and political tensions and ruptures produced in the stimulating reality.
