3D metal halide perovskite X‐ray detectors have become the focus of research in recent years due to their superior sensitivity. However, the reported efficient perovskite X‐ray detectors all contain highly toxic lead and worrisome stability, which greatly limits their wide application and promotion. In this study, a distorted 3D germanium perovskite MAGeI3 single crystal (SC) is designed and grown by gradient cooling method. Due to its distorted octahedral structure, the MAGeI3 SCs not only possess high sensitivity but also have superior long‐term working stability. Specifically, the MAGeI3 SC X‐ray detectors achieve a record sensitivity of 42825 µC Gy−1 cm−2 and an impressive low detection limit of 4.1 nGy s−1, both of them are far better than the state‐of‐the‐art lead‐free perovskite SC X‐ray detectors. Moreover, the unencapsulated SC detector still maintains the original response even at high applied electric field and high dose rate X‐ray irradiation for several hours. Eventually, a high resolution of 7.2 lp mm−1 in X‐ray imaging is demonstrated on the MAGeI3 SC detector under a low dose rate of 478 nGy s−1 and at a low electric field of 1 V mm−1. The toxicity and chemical instability shortcomings of lead halide perovskites are major concerns that continue to motivate the search for next generation alternatives. Copper halides are known to be lead‐free, earth‐abundant, low‐cost, and environmentally friendly, and affordable in optoelectronic performance due to their bright luminescence, tunable emission wavelength, and excellent stability. However, the controlled synthesis of low‐dimensional copper halide nanocrystals (NCs) with near‐unity photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) and high stability remains a great challenge. In this work, we report a reasonable optimization approach for the preparation of Cs3Cu2Cl5 NCs by hot‐injection colloidal synthesis technology. Specifically, the Cs3Cu2Cl5 NCs synthesized with MnC2O4 as the defect repair agent exhibited negligible self‐absorption, bright green luminosity with PL emission at about 535 nm and PLQY can be increased from 68.7 % to 100 %. The Cs3Cu2Cl5 NCs shows excellent stability and outstanding optical properties, and is expected to be used as highly efficient green light emitter in high‐efficiency X‐ray scintillator. Metal halide perovskites have attracted significant attention for high‐performance and cost‐effective photodetector (PD) arrays in recent years. Traditional perovskite photodetector arrays typically rely on planar structure and photolithography, which limit resolution and involve complex, costly processes. To address these challenges, an innovative, lithography‐free fabrication strategy is proposed utilizing direct laser writing ablation and a surface energy‐assisted selective growth process. A 10 × 10 self‐powered perovskite photodetector array is demonstrated with a vertical cross‐bar structure fabricated on a laser‐ablated textured Indium‐Tin Oxide (ITO) substrate which improves the device performance. The device exhibits a fast photoresponse and effective imaging capability. Moreover, the intrinsic physical disorder and randomness of perovskite provide highly secure entropy sources, making the photodetector array suitable for physical unclonable function (PUF) devices. This method offers a promising opportunity for simplifying the fabrication process, enhancing manufacturability, and advancing the application of perovskite PD arrays in secure imaging systems. Hybrid layered double perovskites (HLDPs), representing the two‐dimensional manifestation of halide double perovskites, have elicited considerable interest owing to their intricate chemical bonding hierarchy and structural diversity. This intensified interest stems from the diverse options available for selecting alternating octahedral coordinated trivalent [M(III)] and monovalent metal centers [M(I)], along with the distinctive nature of the cationic organic amine located between the layers. Here, we have synthesized three new compounds with general formula (R′/R′′)4/2M(III)M(I)Cl8; where R′=C3H7NH3 (i.e. 3N) and R′′=NH3C4H8NH3 (i.e. 4N4); M(III)=In3+ or Ru3+; M(I)=Cu+ by simple solution‐based acid precipitation method. The structural analysis reveals that (4N4)2CuInCl8 and (4N4)2CuRuCl8 adopt the layered Dion Jacobson (DJ) structure, whereas (3N)4CuInCl8 exhibits layered Ruddlesden Popper (RP) structure. The alternative octahedra within the inorganic layer display distortions and tilting. Three compounds show temperature‐dependent structural phase transitions where changes in the staking of inorganic layer, extent of octahedral tilting and reorientation of organic spacers with temperature have been noticed. We have achieved ultralow lattice thermal conductivity (κL) in the HLDPs in the 2 to 300 K range, marking a distinctive feature within the realm of HLDP systems. The RP‐HLDP compound, (3N)4CuInCl8, demonstrates anisotropy in κL while measured parallel and perpendicular to layer stacking, showcasing ultralow κL of 0.15 Wm−1K−1 at room temperature, which is one of the lowest values obtained among Pb‐free metal halide perovskite. The observed ultralow κL in three new HLDPs is attributed to significant lattice anharmonicity arising from the chemical bonding heterogeneity and soft crystal structure, which resulted in low‐energy localized optical phonon modes that suppress heat‐carrying acoustic phonons. Hybrid metal halides (HMHs) have emerged as a promising platform for optically functional crystalline materials, but it is extremely challenging to thoroughly elucidate the electron transition coupled to additional ligand emission. Herein, to discover sequences of lead‐free HMHs with distinct optically active metal cations are aimed, that is, Sb3+ (5s2) with the lone‐pair electron configuration and In3+ (4d10) with the fully‐filled electron configuration. (Me2NH2)4MCl6·Cl (Me = −CH3, M = Sb, In) exhibits the superior temperature/component‐dependent luminescence behaviors resulting from the competition transition between triplet‐states (Tn‐S0) self‐trapped excitons (STEs) of inorganic units and singlet‐state (S1‐S0) of organic cations, which is manipulated by the optical activity levels of [SbCl6]3− and [InCl6]3−. The bonding differences between Sb3+/In3+ and Cl− in terms of electronic excitation and hybridization are emphasized, and the different electron‐transition mechanisms are established according to the PL spectra at the extreme temperature of 5 to 305 K and theoretical calculations. By fine‐tuning the B‐site Sb3+/In3+ alloying, the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY = 81.5%) and stability are optimized at 20% alloying of Sb3+. This research sheds light on the rules governing PL behaviors of HMHs, as well as exploring the optical‐functional application of aviation temperature sensors and access‐control systems. Metal halide perovskite (MHP) single crystals have shown great potential for high‐performance X‐ray detection due to their excellent carrier transport properties, tunable optical bandgap, and low‐temperature fabrication process. However, 3D perovskite single crystals suffer from severe ion migration, limiting the stability and sensitivity of X‐ray detectors. Herein, a lowing temperature crystallization (LTC) method for liquid‐phase epitaxial growth of 2D (PEA)2PbBr4 single‐crystal (SC) film on 3D CsPbBr3 substrate is demonstratedand a 2D/3D (PEA)2PbBr4/CsPbBr3 SC heterojunction is successfully constructed. The epitaxial (PEA)2PbBr4 layer shows a pronounced passivation effect on CsPbBr3 SC with a low trap density of 2.27 × 1010 cm−3. As such, the prepared 2D/3D heterojunction X‐ray detector achieves a record‐low detectable dose rate of 3.05 nGyair s−1 and high sensitivity of 34496 µC Gyair−1 cm−2 in 120 keV hard X‐ray detection, with a largely suppressed dark current drift of 2.49 × 10−4 nA cm−1 s−1 V−1. In addition, the heterojunction detector exhibits a self‐driven sensitivity of 44 µC Gyair−1 cm−2 due to its built‐in electric field. This work provides a simple strategy to controllable construct 2D/3D MHP SC heterojunction with excellent optoelectronic characteristic, which is conducive to promoting the development of MHP SC X‐ray detectors and other optoelectronic devices. Stimulus‐responsive materials that exhibit efficient circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) have gained much interest for application in advanced smart photonics. Herein, the CPL‐active enantiomorphic 0D Sb3+‐doped (R/S)2InCl7 (R/S = R/S‐2‐methylpiperazine) are synthesized via a solution method. They show efficient broadband yellow emission with a near‐unity photoluminescence quantum yield and a CPL asymmetry factor of 1.7 × 10−3. Their fascinating chiroptical activity should be attributed to the chirality transfer and self‐trapped exciton emission caused by strong electron–phonon interaction. Particularly, H2O‐induced structural transformation is demonstrated to obtain non‐emission of Sb3+‐doped (R/S)2InCl7·H2O after exposure to a humid environment. Importantly, Sb3+‐doped (R/S)2InCl7 exhibits unique nonlinear optical responses, and the rotation angle between the quarter‐wave plate and linearly polarized plate can regulate the reversible switching of Sb3+‐doped (R/S)2InCl7 between yellow emission and negligible luminescence. Moreover, a circularly polarized white light‐emitting diode is fabricated by combining blue phosphors BaMgAl10O17:Eu2+, and the device exhibits tunable switching control of positive and warm white light by regulating the rotation angle of linear polarizer plate. Based on the tunable optical responses of Sb3+‐doped (R/S)2InCl7, a programmable multi‐mode fluorescence encoding system is constructed, and four‐level information encryption and three‐level encrypted 3D color codes are also realized in a further proof‐of‐concept experiment. Recently, lanthanide‐based 0D metal halides have garnered considerable attention owing to their applications in light–emitting diodes (LEDs), X‐ray imaging, and photodetectors. Among these materials, 0D Cs3TbCl6 (CTC) nanocrystals (NCs) have demonstrated promising performance in X‐ray imaging and light‐emitting diodes. However, a considerable drawback of CTC NCs is their limited absorption coefficient in the UV‐A region (315–380 nm). To address this limitation and enhance the absorption coefficient in the UV‐A region, Ce3+ is incorporated into CTC NCs—advantageous owing to the high absorption coefficient of Ce3+ in the UV‐A region, attributed to—4f‐5d orbital coupling. In addition, Ce3+ ions sensitize the luminescence of CTC NCs and enhance the photoluminescence quantum yield from 75% to 87%. Energy transfer from Ce3+ to Tb3+ is investigated at different dopant ratios. Furthermore, Cs3CeTbCl6 (CCTC) NCs have been utilized in white LED devices. Understanding such competitive energy transfer in lanthanide‐based perovskite‐inspired metal halides will facilitate the development of novel luminescent metal halides for lighting applications. Glassy hybrid metal halides have emerged as promising materials in recent years due to their high structural adjustability and low melting points, offering unique merits that overcome the limitations of their crystalline and polycrystalline counterparts as well as other conventional amorphous semiconductors. This review article comprehensively explores the structural characteristics, electronic properties, and chemical coordination of hybrid metal halides, emphasizing their role in the glass transition from the crystalline phase to the amorphous phase. We examine the intrinsic disorder within the amorphous phase that facilitates light transmission and discuss recent advances in device architecture and interface engineering by optimizing the charge transport of glassy hybrid metal halides for high-quality applications. With full theoretical understanding and rational structural design, potential applications in displays, information storage, X-ray imaging, and sensing are highlighted, underscoring the transformative impact of glassy hybrid metal halides in the fields of materials science and information science. Multi‐excitonic emitting materials in luminescent metal halides are emerging candidates for anti‐counterfeiting and information encryption applications. Herein, ATPP2SnCl6 (ATPP=acetonyltriphenylphosphonium) phase was designed and synthesized by rationally choosing emissive organic reagent of ATPPCl and non‐toxic stable metal ions of Sn4+, and Sb3+ was further doped into ATPP2SnCl6 to tune the photoluminescence with external self‐trapped excitons emission. The derived non‐toxic ATPP2SnCl6 shows multi‐excitonic luminescent centers verified by optical study and differential charge‐density from density functional theory calculations. Incorporation of Sb3+ dopants and the increasing concentrations induce the efficient energy transfer therein, thus enhancing photoluminescence quantum yield from 5.1 % to 73.8 %. The multi‐excitonic emission inspires the creation of information encryption and decryption by leveraging the photoluminescence from ATPPCl to ATPP2SnCl6 host and ATPP2SnCl6 : Sb3+. The intriguing functionalities of emerging quasi‐2D metal halide perovskites (MHPs) have led to further exploration of this material class for sustainable and scalable optoelectronic applications. However, the chemical complexities in precursors—primarily determined by the 2D:3D compositional ratio—result in uncontrolled phase heterogeneities in these materials, which compromises the optoelectronic performances. Yet, this phenomenon remains poorly understood due to the massive quasi‐2D compositional space. To systematically explore the fundamental principles, herein, a high‐throughput automated synthesis‐characterization workflow is designed and implemented to formamidinium (FA)‐based quasi‐2D MHP system. It is revealed that the stable 3D‐like phases, where the α‐FAPbI3 surface is passivated by 2D spacers, exclusively emerge at the compositional range (35–55% of FAPbI3), deviating from the stoichiometric considerations. A quantitative crystallographic study via high‐throughput grazing‐incidence wide‐angle X‐ray scattering (GIWAXS) experiments integrated with automated peak analysis function quickly reveals that the 3D‐like phases are vertically aligned, facilitating vertical charge conduction that can be beneficial for optoelectronic applications. Together, this study uncovers the optimal 2D:3D compositional range for complex quasi‐2D MHP systems, realizing promising optoelectronic functionalities. The automated experimental workflow significantly accelerates materials discoveries and processing optimizations that are transferrable to other deposition methods, while providing fundamental insights into complex materials systems. Photocatalytic solar‐to‐fuel conversion over metal halide perovskites (MHPs) has recently attracted much attention, while the roles of defects in MHPs are still under debate. Specifically, the mainstream viewpoint is that the defects are detrimental to photocatalytic performance, while some recent studies show that certain types of defects contribute to photoactivity enhancement. However, a systematic summary of why it is contradictory and how the defects in MHPs affect photocatalytic performance is still lacking. In this review, the innovative roles of defects in MHP photocatalysts are highlighted. First, the origins of defects in MHPs are elaborated, followed by clarifying certain benefits of defects in photocatalysts including optical absorption, charge dynamics, and surface reaction. Afterward, the recent progress on defect‐related MHP photocatalysis, i.e., CO2 reduction, H2 generation, pollutant degradation, and organic synthesis is systematically discussed and critically appraised, putting emphasis on their beneficial effects. With defects offering peculiar sets of merits and demerits, the personal opinion on the ongoing challenges is concluded and outlining potentially promising opportunities for engineering defects on MHP photocatalysts. Lead‐free metal halide perovskites can potentially be air‐ and water‐stable photocatalysts for organic synthesis, but there are limited studies on them for this application. Separately, machine learning (ML), a critical subfield of artificial intelligence, has played a pivotal role in identifying correlations and formulating predictions based on extensive datasets. Herein, an iterative workflow by incorporating high‐throughput experimental data with ML to discover new lead‐free metal halide perovskite photocatalysts for the aerobic oxidation of styrene is described. Through six rounds of ML optimization guided by SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) analysis, BA2CsAg0.95Na0.05BiBr7 as a photocatalyst that afforded an 80% yield of benzoic acid under the standard conditions is identified, which is a 13‐fold improvement compared to the 6% with when using Cs2AgBiBr6 as the initial photocatalyst benchmark that is started. BA2CsAg0.95Na0.05BiBr7 can tolerate various functional groups with 22 styrene derivatives, highlighting the generality of the photocatalytic properties demonstrated. Radical scavenging studies and density functional theory calculations revealed that the formation of the reactive oxygen species superoxide and singlet oxygen in the presence of BA2CsAg0.95Na0.05BiBr7 are critical for photocatalysis. Metal borates are excellent source materials for exploring short-wavelength nonlinear optical (NLO) crystals. Galloborates show rich structural chemistry with various coordination configurations of Ga cation and B–O anionic units and are suitable candidates as ultraviolet NLO crystals. Up to now, the shortest cut-off edge of galloborates was reported to be down to 190 nm in KCs2Ga(B5O10)(OH), while the largest second harmonic generation (SHG) effect of galloborates was reported to be up to 4.6 times that of KH2PO4 (KDP) in Na5Ga[B7O12(OH)]2·2B(OH)3. Herein, we give a detailed summary of the recent progress in NLO inorganic galloborates, where these galloborates are grouped into two types in terms of their compositions: (1) alkali/alkaline earth metal galloborates and (2) alkali/alkaline earth metal galloborate halides. X‐ray imaging serves a critical role across diverse sectors, including medical diagnostics, industrial surveillance, security, and space exploration. This study delves into the unique properties of a novel polar crystal, [FMPPA]ZnBr4 (FMPPA = protonated 3‐fluoro‐4‐(4‐methyl‐1‐piperazinyl)aniline), characterized by a 0D metal halide structure. This crystal features [ZnBr4]2− tetrahedra and A‐site organic amine ion [FMPPA]2+ rings. With a high photoluminescence quantum yield (≈70%) and minimal self‐absorption, [FMPPA]ZnBr4 demonstrates exceptional scintillation performance under X‐ray excitation, producing 29300 ± 600 photons MeV−1 and achieving a low detection limit of 0.352 µGyair s−1, surpassing conventional 3D perovskite nanocrystals. Beyond superior performance, this scintillator meets the demand for efficient X‐ray imaging light emitters. Moreover, it consistently achieves ≈12.5 lp mm−1 high‐resolution X‐ray imaging. Additionally, [FMPPA]ZnBr4 exhibits a nonlinear optical response, surpassing the benchmark KH2PO4 by 1.8 times. Stimuli‐responsive luminescent materials have attracted much research attention due to their wide application potential in various fields. Typically, the family of hydrated double perovskite A2MIIIX5·H2O shows unique emission color transformation between hydrated and dehydrated complexes, highlighting the application potential in advanced anti‐counterfeiting. Herein, two zero‐dimensional perovskites of Cs2YbCl5·H2O and Cs3YbCl6, are reported and broad‐band self‐trapped exciton recombination emission can be realized via external Sb3+ doping. Intriguingly, the Cs2YbCl5·H2O can be transformed to the dehydrated counterpart of Cs3YbCl6 through a facile methanol treatment at room temperature, leading to the emission color transformation from yellow to green. Notably, the green‐emissive Cs3YbCl6:Sb3+ delivers a high photoluminescence quantum yield of 67.3%. Leveraging the advantages of obvious methanol‐induced emission color transformation between Cs2YbCl5·H2O and Cs3YbCl6 at room temperature, Cs2YbCl5·H2O can be used in the field of high‐security‐level anti‐counterfeiting. Herein, we reported the numerical simulation studies of the metal halide perovskite solar cells (MHPSCs) using solar cell capacitance one‐dimensional (SCAPS‐1D). CsPbI2Br perovskite has been adopted as the absorber layer and thickness of the absorber layer has been optimized to improve the performance of the simulated MHPSCs. Various electron transport layers (ETLs) and hole transport layers (HTLs) were explored for the optimization of high performance MHPSCs. The simulation studies demonstrated excellent efficiency of 20.22 % for the optimized device structure of FTO/SnO2/CsPbI2Br/PTAA/Au using SCAPS‐1D. The experimental study was also conducted to explore the potential of the simulation investigations. The MHPSCs device (FTO/SnO2/CsPbI2Br/PTAA/Au device) was fabricated under controlled humidity (40 %). The CsPbI2Br layer was grown on FTO substrate and its phase purity, crystallinity, surface morphological, and optical properties were determined by using X‐ray diffraction, and ultraviolet‐visible absorption spectroscopy. Organic–inorganic hybrid metal halide perovskites are poised to revolutionize the next generation of photovoltaics with their exceptional optoelectronic properties and compatibility with low-cost and large-scale fabrication methods. Since perovskite tends to degrade over short time intervals due to various parameters (oxygen, humidity, light, and temperature), advanced characterization methods are needed to understand their degradation mechanisms. In this context, investigation of the electrical and optoelectronic properties of several perovskite mini-modules was performed by means of photo- and electroluminescence imaging as well as Dark Lock-In Thermography methods. Current–voltage curves at periodic time intervals and External Quantum Efficiency measurements were implemented alongside other measurements to reveal correlations between the electrical and radiative properties of the solar cells. The different imaging techniques used in this study reveal the changes in radiative emission processes and how those are correlated with performance. Alongside the indoor optoelectronic characterization of perovskite reference samples, the outdoor monitoring of two perovskite modules of the same structure for 23 weeks is reported. Significant performance degradation is presented outdoors from the first week of testing for both samples under test. The evolution of the major electrical characteristics of the mini-modules and the diurnal changes were studied in detail. Finally, dark storage recovery studies after outdoor exposure were implemented to investigate changes in the major electrical parameters. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Yb3+ doped CsPbCl3 metal halide perovskite photodetectors (PDs) in the structure of CsPbCl3(50 nm)/YbCl3(x nm)/CsPbCl3(50 nm), in which x ranges from 10 to 40 nm corresponding to the molar ratio from 6.3% to 25.2%, are fabricated by thermal evaporation on Si/SiO2 substrate. Photoresponse from 350 to 980 nm have been achieved with the optimal responsivity (R) of 3959, 5425, 955 A W−1 for the case of 20 nm YbCl3 at the wavelength (λ) of 420, 680 and 980 nm, respectively. A series of photophysical and electrical characterization has been performed and it is found that the remarkably improved photoresponse originates from the combining effects of upconversion and defects passivation from Yb3+. Moreover, the optimal YbCl3 thickness of 20 nm can be ascribed to the balance between upconversion and concentration quenching of Yb3+. The influence of the YbCl3 doping on the CsPbCl3 electronic structure is investigated and downshifting and stabilization of valence band maximum (VBM) can be attributed to the p-type doping and counteracting effect of Yb3+ and Cl−, respectively. An original molecular imprinting photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensor for sarcosine detection based on stable lead-free inorganic halide double perovskite Cs2AgBiBr6 is proposed. Cs2AgBiBr6 as a lead-free halide perovskite material possesses several positive optoelectronic properties for PEC analysis, such as long-lived component to the charge-carrier lifetime, and strong absorption of visible light. At the same time, two-dimensional materials also offer excellent electronic and mechanical properties; thus, Bi2O2S was used and combined with Cs2AgBiBr6 to provide a stable and large photocurrent, which also benefits from the stability of perovskite Cs2AgBiBr6. Based on this novel PEC assay, the detection range for sarcosine was between 0.005 and 5000 ng/mL with a low detection limit of 0.002 ng/mL. Low‐dimensional ferroelectricity is long sought for post‐Moore nanoscale nonvolatile memory. Although a series of 2D ferroelectrics (FEs) have been experimentally confirmed in recent years, the investigations on 1D FEs are still rare. Stimulated by the experimental synthesis of single‐walled carbon/boron nitride nanotubes endohedrally doped by metal halides, our first‐principles calculations show that they can be the candidates for 1D FEs with switchable polarizations vertical to the tube axis as the inner metal halides form into polar zigzag chains. The polarization can be reversed via the migration of metal ions inside the wall, crossing a small barrier around several meV. Similar 1D vertical ferroelectricity in ternary boron carbonitride hybrid nanotubes that have already been synthesized is also predicted. In comparison, herein, polarization is switched by rolling the whole nanotube, which can be realized by applying just a local electric field induced by a tip due to its structural rigidity, which is long sought but remains challenging in current explorations on either conventional or low‐dimensional FEs. Zero-dimensional metal halides are of unique structures and tunable photoluminescence properties, showing great potential applications such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and sensing. Herein, we successfully synthesized Cu+ doped (MA)2ZnCl4 metal halides by a slow evaporation solvent method. The introduction of Cu+ results in sky-blue self-trapped exciton emission in (MA)2ZnCl4 at 486 nm at room temperature, and a photoluminescence quantum yield is as high as 54.9%. Interestingly, at low temperatures, Cu+-doped (MA)2ZnCl4 exhibits two emission peaks located at 482 and 605 nm, respectively. This temperature-dependent dual emission indicates two excited state structures that exist on the triplet excited-state potential energy surface. In addition, the temperature sensor we fitted has good performance (Sr = 1.65 %·K−1), which is the first attempt in Cu+ doped Zn-based metal halides. Metal halide perovskite (MHPs) nanocrystals (NCs) have recently emerged as promising materials for optoelectronic applications due to their exceptional photophysical properties. A comprehensive understanding of the underlying principles and key challenges associated with controlling the hot carrier (HC) cooling dynamics in MHPs is pivotal for the design of efficient perovskite‐based optoelectronic applications. This review highlights the general carrier cooling mechanism and identifies influencing crucial controlling parameters for carrier dynamics. The discussion includes strategies for manipulating HC cooling dynamics through carrier‐phonon and carrier‐carrier interactions. Notably, recent advancements in HC extraction with suitable acceptors are explored, as efficient HC extraction is imperative for the advancement of optoelectronic applications. The objective of this review is to outline potential pathways for strategically modifying carrier cooling processes to align with specific optoelectronic applications. The presence of hot carriers is presented in the operational properties of an (FA,Cs)Pb(I, Br, Cl)3 solar cell at ambient temperatures and under practical solar concentration. Albeit, in a device architecture that is not suitably designed as a functional hot carrier solar cell. At 100 K, clear evidence of hot carriers is observed in both the high energy tail of the photoluminescence spectra and from the appearance of a nonequilibrium photocurrent at higher fluence in light J–V measurements. At room temperature, however, the presence of hot carriers in the emission at elevated laser fluence is shown to compete with a gradual red shift in the PL peak energy as photoinduced halide segregation begins to occur at higher lattice temperature. The effects of thermionic emission of hot carriers and the presence of a nonequilibrium carrier distribution are also shown to be distinct from simple lattice heating. This results in large unsaturated photocurrents at high powers as the Fermi distribution exceeds that of the heterointerface controlling carrier transport and rectification. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Cr3+ ions doped broadband emission near‐infrared (NIR) phosphors are pertinent to widespread emerging applications and get rapid developed. However, it remains a challenge to simultaneously achieve highly efficient and broadband near‐infrared emission in Cr3+ ions doped phosphors. Herein, the Cr3+ ions firstly doped into organic–inorganic hafnium chlorine TEA2HfCl6 (TEA = Tetraethylammonium, C8H20N), which show broadband emission at a range of 700–1300 nm, a full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 164 nm, and a high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of 60%. The organic–inorganic metal halides show huge advantages than traditional inorganic phosphors, like high luminescence efficiency, low temperature solution synthesis progress, and low cost, which provide an efficiency strategy for lighting industry. Based on these advantages, a high power NIR light emitting diode (LED) is fabricated by TEA2HfCl6:Cr3+ with a high‐power 530 nm chip, which is used in food analysis, night vision, and biomedical imaging as a demonstration. Metal halide perovskites are promising light absorbers for multijunction photovoltaic applications because of their remarkable bandgap tunability, achieved through compositional mixing on the halide site. However, poor energy‐level alignment at the interface between wide‐bandgap mixed‐halide perovskites and charge‐extraction layers still causes significant losses in solar‐cell performance. Here, the origin of such losses is investigated, focusing on the energy‐level misalignment between the valence band maximum and the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) for a commonly employed combination, FA0.83Cs0.17Pb(I1‐xBrx)3 with bromide content x ranging from 0 to 1, and poly[bis(4‐phenyl)(2,4,6‐trimethylphenyl)amine] (PTAA). A combination of time‐resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy and numerical modeling of charge‐carrier dynamics reveals that open‐circuit voltage (VOC) losses associated with a rising energy‐level misalignment derive from increasing accumulation of holes in the HOMO of PTAA, which then subsequently recombine non‐radiatively across the interface via interfacial defects. Simulations assuming an ideal choice of hole‐transport material to pair with FA0.83Cs0.17Pb(I1‐xBrx)3 show that such VOC losses originating from energy‐level misalignment can be reduced by up to 70 mV. These findings highlight the urgent need for tailored charge‐extraction materials exhibiting improved energy‐level alignment with wide‐bandgap mixed‐halide perovskites to enable solar cells with improved power conversion efficiencies. Organic–inorganic metal halides (OIMHs) have strengthened the development of triplet-state emission materials due to their excellent luminescence performance. Due to the inherent toxicity of lead (Pb) significantly limiting its further advancement, numerous studies have been conducted to regulate triplet-state emission of non-Pb OIMHs, and several feasible strategies have been proposed. However, most of the non-Pb OIMHs reported have a relatively short lifetime or a low luminescence efficiency, not in favor of their application. In this review, we provide a summary of recent reports on the regulation of triplet-state emissions in non-Pb OIMHs to provide benefits for the design of innovative luminescent materials. Our focus is primarily on exploring the internal and external factors that influence the triplet-state emission. Starting from the luminescence mechanism, the current strategies for regulating triplet-state emissions are summarized. Moreover, by manipulating these strategies, it becomes feasible to achieve triplet-state emissions that span a range of colors from blue to red, and even extend into the near-infrared spectrum with high luminescence efficiency, while also increasing their lifetimes. This review not only provides fresh insights into the advancement of triplet-state emissions in OIMHs but also integrates experimental and theoretical perspectives to illuminate the trajectory of future research endeavors. Rare earth ions with d-f transitions (Ce3+, Eu2+) have emerged as promising candidates for electroluminescence applications due to their abundant emission spectra, high light conversion efficiency, and excellent stability. However, directly injecting charge into 4f orbitals remains a significant challenge, resulting in unsatisfied external quantum efficiency and high operating voltage in rare earth light-emitting diodes. Herein, we propose a scheme to solve the difficulty by utilizing the energy transfer process. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and transient absorption spectra suggest that the Cs3CeI6 luminescence process is primarily driven by the energy transfer from the I2-based self-trapped exciton to the Ce-based Frenkel exciton. Furthermore, energy transfer efficiency is largely improved by enhancing the spectra overlap between the self-trapped exciton emission and the Ce-based Frenkel exciton excitation. When implemented as an active layer in light-emitting diodes, they show the maximum brightness and external quantum efficiency of 1073 cd m−2 and 7.9%, respectively. Rare-earth metal halide perovskites are promising for deep blue LEDs. Here, Yang et al. report energy transfer between self-trapped exciton and Frenkel exciton in Cs3CeI6 by adding excess CsI during thermal evaporation, resulting in deep blue LEDs with external quantum efficiency of 7.9% at 424 nm. Metal halide perovskite photodiodes have garnered extensive attention owing to their favorable optoelectronic properties, rendering them attractive for visible, near‐infrared, and X‐ray sensors. However, their predominant reliance on solution‐processing deposition techniques poses challenges for seamless integration into existing industrial processes. In this study, this limitation is addressed by developing fully vacuum‐processed perovskite photodiodes with varying hole transport layers (HTL). These findings underscore the critical role of HTL selection in influencing the dark and noise current characteristics of the diodes. With an optimized HTL, photodiodes are obtained with low noise current (≈3 10−14 A Hz−1/2) and high specific detectivity (≈1012 Jones at 710 nm at −0.5 V). The photodiodes are also tested as X‐ray detectors and are found to be stable under X‐ray radiation, with state‐of‐the‐art sensitivity of 33 ± 4 µC Gy−1 cm−2 and a low limit of detection of 2.0 ± 1.6 µG s−1. Stretchable luminescent nanocomposites with metal halide perovskite (MHP) emitters are in high demand as deformable color‐conversion layers (CCLs) for vivid‐colored form‐factor free displays. However, the immiscibility of the MHP crystals with an elastomeric polymer matrix induces particle aggregation with resultant luminescence quenching, hindering the development of MHP‐based CCLs. Herein, a simple method is proposed to produce highly luminescent MHP nanoparticles (NPs) and stably disperse them in an elastomeric poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) polymer matrix with block copolymer (BCP) dispersant. The nanocomposites are developed through sequential steps of synthesis of MHP‐NP dispersion solution with BCP and blending with PDMS followed by thermal curing. It is revealed that Lewis basic poly(2‐vinylpyridine)‐block‐poly(dimethylsiloxane) (P2VP‐b‐PDMS) BCP added in the synthesis step promotes crystallization of the MHPs as nanocrystals with an average diameter of 5.9 ± 1.2 nm, whereas MHPs with hundreds of nm are produced without BCP. The resultant MHP‐NPs with P2VP‐b‐PDMS exhibit excellent photophysical properties, such as narrow band emission, high photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield, and long PL lifetime. The MHP‐NPs are stably dispersed in the PDMS matrix by P2VP‐b‐PDMS without particle aggregation, leading to highly deformable and stretchable nanocomposites with stable PL emission upon repetitive stretching, and excellent environmental stability. Blue gallium nitride (GaN) light‐emitting diodes (LEDs), combined with red/green fluorescent converters, have broad potential for display applications. Metal halide perovskites now show excellent luminescence properties and may be suitable as light converters. Here a simple solution‐processed method is reported to prepare a methylammonium lead bromide (MAPbBr3) nanoporous GaN composite. Fast (within 2 ps) energy transfer is demonstrated from photoexcited nanoporous GaN to encapsulate MAPbBr3 nanocrystals, as observed by transient absorption spectroscopy. The spatial confinement of the perovskite within the nanoporous GaN is shown to increase the perovskite radiative recombination rate. [Display omitted] • Three zero-dimensional organic metal halides with different emission characteristics were synthesized. • The photophysical properties of the as-synthesized compounds were investigated in detail. • We demonstrated Sb3+-doped compounds in single-component white light illumination latent fingerprint detection. • Based on Sb3+-doped Sn(IV) compounds, a triple-mode reversible PL switch of off-onI-onII-off was achieved under different external stimuli. The host lattice environments of Sb3+ has a great influence on its photophysical properties. Here, we synthesized three zero-dimensional organic metal halides of (TPA) 2 SbCl 5 (1), Sb3+-doped (TPA)SnCl 5 (H 2 O)·2H 2 O (Sb3+-2), and Sb3+-doped (TPA) 2 SnCl 6 (Sb3+-3). Compared with the intense orange emission of 1 , Sb3+-3 has smaller lattice distortion, thus effectively suppressing the exciton transformation from singlet to triplet self-trapped exciton (STE) states, which makes Sb3+-3 has stronger singlet STE emission and further bring a white emission with a photoluminescence quantum efficiency (PLQE) of 93.4%. Conversely, the non-emission can be observed in Sb3+-2 even though it has a similar [SbCl 5 ]2- structure to 1 , which should be due to its indirect bandgap characteristics and the effective non-radiative relaxation caused by H 2 O in the lattice. Interestingly, the non-emission of Sb3+-2 can convert into the bright emission of Sb3+-3 under TPACl DMF solution treatment. Meanwhile, the white emission under 315 nm excitation of Sb3+-3 can change into orange emission upon 365 nm irradiation, and the luminescence can be further quenched by the treatment of HCl. Therefore, a triple-mode reversible luminescence switch of off-onI-onII-off can be achieved. Finally, we demonstrated the applications of Sb3+-doped compounds in single-component white light illumination, latent fingerprint detection, fluorescent anti-counterfeiting, and information encryption. High-definition near-eye display technology has extremely close sight distance, placing a higher demand on the size, performance, and array of light-emitting pixel devices. Based on the excellent photoelectric performance of metal halide perovskite materials, perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) have high photoelectric conversion efficiency, adjustable emission spectra, and excellent charge transfer characteristics, demonstrating great prospects as next-generation light sources. Despite their potential, the solubility of perovskite in photoresist presents a hurdle for conventional micro/nano processing techniques, resulting in device sizes typically exceeding 50 μm. This limitation impedes the further downsizing of perovskite-based components. Herein, we propose a plane-structured PeLED device that can achieve microscale light-emitting diodes with a single pixel device size < 2 μm and a luminescence lifetime of approximately 3 s. This is accomplished by fabricating a patterned substrate and regulating ion distribution in the perovskite through self-doping effects to form a PN junction. This breakthrough overcomes the technical challenge of perovskite–photoresist incompatibility, which has hindered the development of perovskite materials in micro/nano optoelectronic devices. Metal halide perovskites have shown unique advantages compared with traditional optoelectronic materials. Currently, perovskite films are commonly produced by either multi-step spin coating or vapor deposition techniques. However, both methods face challenges regarding large-scale production. Herein, we propose a straightforward in situ growth method for the fabrication of CsPbBr3 nanocrystal films. The films cover an area over 5.5 cm × 5.5 cm, with precise thickness control of a few microns and decent uniformity. Moreover, we demonstrate that the incorporation of magnesium ions into the perovskite enhances crystallization and effectively passivates surface defects, thereby further enhancing luminous efficiency. By integrating this approach with a silicon photodiode detector, we observe an increase in responsivity from 1.68 × 10−2 A/W to 3.72 × 10−2 A/W at a 365 nm ultraviolet wavelength. Hybrid metal halides are an extraordinary class of optoelectronic materials with extensive applications. To further diversify and study the in‐depth structure‐property relations, we report here a new family of 21 zero‐dimensional hybrid bimetallic chlorides with the general formula A(L)n[BClm] (A=rare earth (RE), alkaline earth metals and Mn; L=solvent ligand; and B=Sb, Bi and Te). The RE(DMSO)8[BCl6] (RE=La, Ce, Sm, Eu, Tb, and Dy; DMSO=dimethyl sulfoxide) series shows broadband emission attributed to triplet radiative recombination from Sb and Bi, incorporating the characteristic emission of RE metals, where Eu(DMSO)8[BiCl6] shows a staggering PL quantum yield of 94 %. The pseudo‐octahedral [SbCl5] with Cl vacancy in AII(DMSO)6[SbCl5] (AII=Mg, Ca and Mn) and the square pyramidal [SbCl5] in AII(TMSO)6[SbCl5] (TMSO=tetramethylene sulfoxide) enhance the stereoactive expression of the 5 s2 lone pairs of Sb3+, giving rise to the observation of dual‐band emission of singlet and triplet emission, respectively. A series of Te(IV) analogues have been characterized, showing blue‐light‐excitable single‐band emission. This work expands the materials space for hybrid bimetallic halides with an emphasis on harnessing the RE elements, and provides important insights into designing new emitters and regulating their properties. Antimicrobial resistance is a multifaceted phenomenon and a serious threat to the prevailing global healthcare options. Photocatalytic therapy using nanotherapeutics is a promising alternative as this enables redox‐tuning of substrates inside biofilm while forming cytotoxic reactive oxygen species at hypoxic conditions. Herein, a new paradigm using the heterostructure of metal halide perovskite (PeV) nanocrystals is introduced by in situ capping with a nitric oxide (NO) releasing derivative (NTFA) and a •OH releasing phenothiazine ligand (BA‐PTZ) to yield NTFA@PeV@BA‐PTZ heterostructure. Material characterization, along with the mechanistic insights for the sunlight‐induced exciton formation, separation, and migration into respective molecular ligands inducing the catalytic generation of cytotoxic •OH/NO species are supported by in situ spectroscopic/microscopic studies. Encapsulation of NTFA@PeV@BA‐PTZ NCs with silica results NTFA@PeV@BA‐PTZ@SiO2, ensures its physiological stability and biologically benign nature. The efficacy of heterostructure toward biofilm inactivation and bactericidal activity are established through appropriate in vitro and in vivo biocompatibility, biodistribution, and assessment of antibacterial activity. The results also confirm the minimal toxicity and effective excretion of NTFA@PeV@BA‐PTZ@SiO2 from orally administered Balb/c mice. Together, based on manipulating the redox gradient omnipresent in bacterial/biofilm microenvironments and by catapulting the exciton‐mediated redox process, a proof‐of‐concept for an efficient multimodal photocatalytic nanotherapeutics is demonstrated. Chiral organic‐inorganic hybrid perovskites (OIHPs) exhibit exceptional optical and chiral properties, demonstrating potential for 3D display, circularly polarized light‐emitting diodes (CP‐LEDs), and CPL switches. However, the construction of chiral OIHPs often relies on chiral building blocks, limiting chemical diversity, and possessing challenges in achieving large asymmetry factor (glum) without sacrificing photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY). Here, Chiral DMA4In1‐xSbxCl7 (DMA = dimethylammonium, x = 0 to 1) with superior circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) are successfully constructed based on achiral building blocks DMA+ and metal halides. By optimizing the Sb3+ content, bright white emission with a high PLQY of 69.13% is achieved, as well as near‐unity PLQY yellow emission and strong CPL signals with a glum of up to +1.40 × 10−2, exhibiting a performance comparable to state‐of‐the‐art chiral OIHPs. Combining optical characterizations and theoretical calculations reveal that these intriguing properties originate from the intrinsic chiral helical structures and a pair of perfect complementary color emissions in DMA4In1‐xSbxCl7. In addition, DMA4In1‐xSbxCl7 exhibit excellent thermal stability and mild thermal quenching in the temperature range of 300 to 420 K. Luminescent Mn(II)‐based organic–inorganic hybrid halides have drawn attention as potential materials for sensing and photonics applications. Here, the synthesis and characterization of methylammonium (MA) manganese bromide ((MA)nBrxMn(H2O)2, (n = 1, 4 and x = 3, 6)) with different stoichiometries of the organic cation and inorganic counterpart, are reported. While the Mn2+ centers have an octahedral conformation, the two coordinating water molecules are found either in cis (1) or in trans (2) positions. The photophysical behavior of 1 reflects the luminescence of Mn2+ in an octahedral environment. Although Mn2+ in 2 also has octahedral coordination, at room temperature dual emission bands at ≈530 and ≈660 nm are observed, explained in terms of emission from Mn2+ in tetragonally compressed octahedra and self‐trapped excitons (STEs), respectively. Above the room temperature, 2 shows quasi‐tetrahedral behavior with intense green emission, while at temperatures below 140 K, another STE band emerges at 570 nm. Time‐resolved experiments (77–360 K) provide a clear picture of the excited dynamics. 2 shows rising components due to STEs formation equilibrated at room temperature with their precursors. Halide perovskites offer a transformative potential for optoelectronics through tailoring the light‐matter interactions at the nanoscale. However, their susceptibility to environmental factors and limited compatibility with standard lithography techniques present significant challenges in precise nanopatterning. This work unveils a nature‐inspired breath figures (BFs) approach to pattern halide perovskites and enhancing their optoelectronic performance. The fabrication of BFs based on BiI3 allows for changes in nanopore size (ranging from 247 to 423 nm) and their distribution. Subsequently, these BiI3 BFs are transformed into hybrid halide MA3Bi2I9 BFs using a vapor‐assisted technique while retaining the nanoporous topology of the BiI3 structure. The resultant MA3Bi2I9 BFs show significantly enhanced light absorption compared to conventional thin films, attributed to the increased extinction and lower refractive index. The optoelectronic performance of the MA3Bi2I9 BFs is showcased by constructing a photodetector, which exhibits three orders of magnitude higher responsivity and detectivity, up to 1 AW−1 and 1.3 × 1012 Jones, respectively, outperforming the photodetectors based on solution‐processed A3B2I9 halide perovskite thin films. The BFs method provides flexibility in tuning nanoscale morphology, showcasing its potential in advancing lead‐free optoelectronics and paving the way for next‐generation optoelectronic devices. Photocatalytic technology is widely regarded as an important way to utilize solar energy and achieve carbon neutrality, which has attracted considerable attentions in various fields over the past decades. Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) are recognized as "superstar" materials due to their exceptional photoelectric properties, readily accessible and tunable structure, which made them intensively studied in solar cells, light-emitting diodes, and solar energy conversion fields. Since 2018, increased attention has been focused on applying the MHPs as a heterogeneous visible light photocatalyst in catalyzing organic synthesis reactions. In this review, we present an overview of photocatalytic technology and principles of heterogeneous photocatalysis before delving into the structural characteristics, stability, and classifications of MHPs. We then focus on recent developments of MHPs in photocatalyzing various organic synthesis reactions, such as oxidation, cyclization, C–C coupling etc., based on their classifications and reported reaction types. The rich and unique energy level structure arising from 4fn inner shell configuration of trivalent lanthanide ions (Ln3+) renders them highly attractive for light‐emitting applications. Currently, research primarily focuses on Ln3+ doping in either traditional garnets or the recently developed perovskite phosphors. However, there have been few reports on stable phosphors crystallized with pure lanthanide elements. Herein, a universal solution‐based route to eight Ln3+‐based metal halides from the organic‐inorganic A4LnX7 family is described, where A+ = 4,4‐difluoropiperidinium (DFPD+), Ln3+ = Nd3+, Eu3+, Ho3+, Sm3+, Tm3+, Tb3+, Yb3+, Er3+, and X− = Cl−, Br−. Visible photoluminescence (PL) is observed from Tb3+‐, Eu3+‐, Ho3+‐, and Sm3+‐based compounds with Tb and Eu compositions exhibiting high PL quantum yields of 90–100%; Nd3+‐, Tm3+‐, Yb3+‐, and Er3+‐based crystals show fascinating near‐infrared emission. Light‐emitting diodes (LEDs) fabricated with (DFPD)4TbCl7 yield characteristic emission of Tb3+, representing the first demonstration of electroluminescence from these organic‐inorganic Ln3+‐based metal halides. Moreover, these materials exhibit distinct excitation wavelength‐dependent emission after alloying with different Ln3+ ions, making them interesting for multicolor display and multilevel information encryption applications. Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) have excellent characteristics and present great potential in a broad range of applications such as solar cells, light‐emitting diodes, and photodetectors. However, the light stability of devices remains an unresolved issue and has received great research attention. Under light illumination, MHPs exhibit various anomalous phenomena, such as photoluminescence (PL) enhancement, defect curing, PL blinking, and phase segregation. These phenomena are commonly considered intimately correlated with the performance and stability of MHP devices. In recent years, significant efforts have been made experimentally and theoretically toward understanding the physical origins of these anomalous effects. However, most research focuses on negative effects while the positive effects are mostly ignored. Herein, the positive effects and the negative effects of light soaking in MHPs are systematically discussed with a classification of the correlated physical mechanisms by specifically focusing on variation occurring in timescale from second to hour, corresponding to the unique ionic–electronic interaction. This intends to provide a new insight into ion effects on excellent properties of perovskites, and deep physical understanding of charge‐carrier and ion dynamics in perovskite, and theoretical guidelines for the fabrication of high‐quality and stability perovskite‐based photovoltaic and photoelectric devices. The development of large‐area transparent organic‐inorganic hybrid metal halide (OIMH) scintillation screens is restricted by the anisotropic single‐crystal growth, numerous grain boundaries in polycrystalline wafers, and inhomogeneous dispersion in perovskite‐polymer composite films. The crystal‐glass phase transition of OIMH materials may provide a promising solution for the above significant challenges. Herein, a new class of transparent amorphous guanidinium‐based manganese bromide glasses, (DPG)2MnBr4 and (DOTG)2MnBr4 (DPG = 1,3‐diphenylguanidinium, DOTG = 1,3‐di‐o‐tolylguanidinium), are synthesized through a low‐temperature melt‐quenching process. The (DOTG)2MnBr4 shows impressive glass‐forming ability because of large viscosity (η) at the melting temperature (Tm) (η(Tm) = 3426 mPa·s) and small fragility index (m = 52.35), which can be a potential glass scintillator. The large‐area (e.g., 13 cm × 13 cm) transparent amorphous (DOTG)2MnBr4 glass scintillator shows high light transmittance of > 80%, a low detection limit of 237.3 nGy s−1 and high X‐ray imaging spatial resolution of 12 lp mm−1. Interestingly, the glass transition temperature of < 40 °C gives (DOTG)2MnBr4 glass unique thermoplastic properties, allowing it to conform to irregularly shaped objects and reduce the distortion in X‐ray imaging. Structuring metal halide perovskites with mixed halide anions is a promising strategy for attaining the desired bandgap and emission color for technological applications such as electroluminescent (EL) light‐emitting diodes (LEDs) and ultrahigh‐definition displays. However, these mixed halide perovskites suffer from severe EL spectral stability issues. During device operation, homogeneously mixed halide perovskite phases are prone to form halide‐segregated domain phases with spatially inhomogeneous bandgap and emission color, which hinders practical use of perovskite LEDs (PeLEDs). In this review, a comprehensive survey is performed about the underlying driving forces for phase segregation, and representative strategies are discussed for the development of color/spectral stable mixed halide PeLEDs. The electron-rich molecule tetramethoxythianthrene TMO-TA can readily be oxidized to the radical cation using various transition metal halides in acetonitrile as solvent. Reactions with CuBr2, FeCl3, AuCl3, NbCl5, and CuCl2 yield dark blue or black crystals of [TMO-TA]2[CuBr4] (2), [TMO-TA][FeCl4] · CH3CN (3), [TMO-TA][AuCl4] (4), [TMO-TA][NbCl6] · CH3CN (6), and [TMO-TA]5[Cu2Cl6]2 · 2 CH3CN (7). [TMO-TA]2[Ta2OF10] (5) was obtained by anodic oxidation of TMO-TA in the presence of (Nbu4)2[Ta2OF10] as electrolyte. Using mercury(II) bromide, no redox reaction occurs. Instead, the colorless complex [HgBr2(TMO-TA)] (1) is formed. In the crystal structures of the compounds 2–7, the almost planar radical cations show different types of arrangements. Pair formation of the [TMO-TA]•+ radicals to [TMO-TA]22+ dimers with the typical intra-pair S⋯S bonds of 3.1–3.2 Å lengths is predominant. Compounds 6 and 7 contain stacks of planar TMO-TA molecules in equidistant arrangement without pair formation and the unique feature of rotation of each adjacent cation by about 30°. Compounds 2, 5, and 7 are electrical semiconductors with band gaps between 0.62 and 1.4 eV, reflecting the arrangement of the radical cations. While 5 is diamagnetic, the magnetic momenta of 2 and 7 correspond only to the expected paramagnetic momenta of magnetically dilute Cu2+ ions. Organic–inorganic halide perovskite have shown great promise for photovoltaic applications due to their unprecedented optoelectronic properties and low manufacturing cost. However, the commercialization of this emerging technology is hampered by its thermal instability and intrinsic Pb‐toxicity. Here, we report first‐principles investigations on stability and optoelectronic properties of a series of all‐inorganic lead‐free metal halide perovskite‐like materials AMX4 (A = Cs, Ag, and Rb; M = In, Sb, and Bi; X = Cl, Br, and I). Our calculations show that AgSbI4 and AgBiI4 have direct bandgaps of 1.63 and 1.44 eV, which possess strong interband optical absorption (≈105 cm−1). Based on these favorable properties, we also simulated the AgSbI4‐ and AgBiI4‐based thin film solar cells with the SCAPS‐1D code and achieve high PCE of 24.19% and 26.70%, respectively. These results reveal that the AMX4 perovskite‐like materials could serve as potential alternatives to Pb‐based halide perovskites in photovoltaic devices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study investigated the usefulness of a dental laboratory polymerization unit with light-emitting diode (LED) as a light source. The depth of cure (n=15), water absorption and solubility (n=9) of two indirect composite materials (Cesead N and Solidex Hardura) were evaluated by five dental laboratory polymerization units (LED Cure Master, Twinkle LED, α-Light V, α-Light II, and Hyper LII). Statistical analysis was performed by one-way ANOVA and Tukey test or non-parametric tests. Comparison of light sources for curing depth showed that metal halide had the highest value, followed by the LED group with similar values, and halogen lamps with the lowest value. The water absorption and solubility of the composite specimens polymerized with the three LED laboratory polymerization units were within the ISO recommended limit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) have emerged as highly promising candidates for the next generation of photonics and optoelectronic devices, owing to their prominent optical and excitonic properties, as well as the convenience of fabrication. Particularly, ultrathin two-dimensional (2D) MHPs, which are generally prepared by exfoliation, solution growth, and chemical vapor deposition method, have attracted dramatically increasing attentions owing to their combined features of ultrathin 2D morphology and superior performance of MHPs. Despite the growing interest in ultrathin 2D MHPs, there is currently a lack of a comprehensive and systematic overview of the distinct advantages offered by each growth method for producing these materials. This review critically assesses the preliminary studies on the materials design and preparation of ultrathin MHPs. Furthermore, it explores heterostructures based on ultrathin MHPs and offers insights into the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for this enticing class of 2D materials. Hybrid organic‐inorganic perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have rapidly advanced in the new generation of photovoltaic devices. As the demand for energy continues to grow, the pursuit of more stable, highly efficient, and cost‐effective solar cells has intensified in both academic research and the industry. Consequently, the development of scalable fabrication techniques that yield a uniform and dense perovskite absorber layer with optimal crystallization plays a crucial role to enhance stability and higher efficiency of perovskite solar modules. This review provides a comprehensive summary of recent advancements, comparison, and future prospects of scalable deposition techniques for perovskite photovoltaics. We discuss various techniques, including solution‐based and physical methods such as blade coating, inkjet printing (IJP), screen printing, slot‐die coating, physical vapor deposition, and spray coating that have been employed for fabrication of perovskite modules. The advantages and challenges associated with these techniques, such as contactless and maskless deposition, scalability, and compatibility with roll‐to‐roll processes, have been thoroughly examined. Finally, the integration of multiple subcells in perovskite solar modules is explored using different scalable deposition techniques. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Plasma‐based technologies are at the frontier of material processing for several applications, from packaging to agronomy to photovoltaics. These processes allow for a fine‐tuning of material properties by engineering deposition, interaction with the substrate, and final surface characteristics at the atomistic level. As metal halide perovskite (MHP) solar cells enter the path toward commercialization, plasma processing can be seen as a powerful material manipulation tool already settled within industrially relevant procedures. In this perspective, the impact that these methods can have on different aspects of perovskite solar cells technology is envisioned, focusing on the direct interaction between plasma and MHPs. The use of plasma processes is foreseen for the deposition or crystallization of MHPs films, for treating their surface, as well as for the creation of suitable coatings either on top of perovskite layer and/or as encapsulants of the whole solar converting devices.
