- Abstract
This flag served as the national colors of the 50th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. The flag has twenty-one stars still intact on a blue canton (due to deterioration some stars have been lost). A large star is positioned in the center of the canton. The rest of the stars appear to be arranged in a circular pattern, with some stars also in the corners of the canton. The flag's thirteen alternating red and white stripes are pieced. Due to deterioration only nine of the flag's thirteen stripes remain intact.
