[Objective] The paper aimed to explore the factors affecting the development of digital agriculture and village in Zibo, to provide effective reference recommendations for promoting the future development of digital agriculture and village, and to promote the high-quality and sustainable development of digital agriculture and village in Zibo. (Method) Based on survey data regarding the development level of digital agriculture and village in Zibo city, Shandong province, we utilized the entropy method to assess the development level of digital agriculture and village in Zibo from 2020 to 2023. Additionally, we employed the obstacle degree model to analyze the primary factors constraining the development of digital agriculture and village in Zibo. (Result] From 2020 to 2023, Zibo experienced overall growth in the development of digital agriculture and village. However, there were significant variations in the development of different sectors and regions. The main factors limiting the rapid progress of digital agriculture and village in Zibo in recent years included the digitization of livestock and poultry breeding and aquaculture, the number of online merchants, the traceability application of agricultural product quality, the level of online work, the digital application of agricultural technology promotion, the training of farmers' digital literacy, and financial investments in the digital field. Conclusion] Zibo continues to promote the construction and development of digital agriculture and village. This can be achieved by reducing regional disparities, enhancing the digitization of livestock, poultry and aquaculture, improving the traceability of agricultural product quality and safety, streamlining the online management of rural land transfer and homesteads, and advancing the adoption and utilization of digital technology. This study aimed to determine how teachers use the communicative language approach in the learning-teaching process and measurement-evaluation dimensions while implementing the 2018 Primary English Course (Grades 2-8) Curriculum. Embedded single case study design, one of the qualitative designs, was used in this study. The study group included 14 primary education English language teachers instructing different grades in public schools in Eskişehir, Turkey. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers and analyzed by content analysis. The findings demonstrated that communicative language approach could not be implemented in the classroom due to physical problems in the teaching-learning process, student reluctance and lack of readiness, teachers' initial failure to analyze the learner goals and styles, the lack of the predominant employment of the target language, partial inclusion of the activities determined by the communicative language approach in the course, preference of grammar instruction, partial utilization of group activities, the lack of using authentic materials, immediate correction of learner mistakes, inability to adopt the communicative language roles such as initialization of communication, providing resources and preference of traditional roles, and inability to measure the four basic language skills due to systemic measurement and evaluation errors.

The purpose of this study is to examine the opinions of mathematics teachers comprehensively about measurement and evaluation. The study was conducted as a case study. The study group consists of 15 volunteer mathematics teachers working in schools in various regions of Turkey in the 2021-2022 academic year. Semi-structured interview method was used to collect research data, and content analysis technique was used to analyze the data. The results of the study showed that mathematics teachers do not have enough information about the purposes of measurement and evaluation, and they generally think product-oriented. It was determined that teachers mostly use multiple-choice and open-ended questions in written exams and they care most about in-class participation and homework while giving performance grades. Also, it was concluded that the teachers paid attention to one or a few issues in the evaluation of the project assignments and could not make the evaluation completely. It was determined that mathematics teachers used traditional measurement and evaluation techniques and did not have adequate knowledge about alternative measurement and evaluation techniques. Based on the results of the study, various suggestions were made to implementers and researchers.

STUDENT attitudes , *PSYCHOLOGICAL feedback , *ONLINE education , *SCHOLARLY publishing , *DISTANCE education , *STUDENTS - Abstract
Online assessments of learning, or online exams, have become increasingly widespread with the rise of distance learning. Online exams are preferred by many students and are perceived as a quick and easy tool to measure knowledge. On the contrary, some students are concerned about the possibility of cheating and technological difficulties in online exams. As a result, students' perspectives on online exam acceptance and preferences differ. Therefore, various studies have been conducted on students' views to reveal the factors affecting students' acceptance of and preferences regarding online exams. At this point, this research aims to better understand students' acceptance of and preferences regarding online exams by systematically analyzing the existing literature. Data consisted of 94 academic studies published in the period of 2002–2023. Synthesis results of the first theme include 4 categories about students' acceptance of online exams: namely, (i) factors affecting students' acceptance, (ii) effects of factors, (iii) methods for increasing the level of acceptance, and (iv) effects of gender differences. The synthesis results of the second theme outline students' preferences towards online exams in terms of (i) feedback, (ii) questions, (iii) location, (iv) disciplines, (v) exam security methods, and (vi) exam duration. Thus, these results can contribute to those who want to take into account the factors affecting students' acceptance of and preferences regarding online exams and the factors that drive students' preferences. The paper also highlights several directions for future studies that have emerged from the findings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract With the development of modern electronic countermeasure technology, the fight between radar jamming and anti-jamming has become increasingly fierce. Experts have done a lot of highly effective work on radar anti-jamming performance. However, the emergence of various new complex interferences has rendered existing methods unable to meet the needs. In this manuscript, we consider the measurement and evaluation method of radar anti-jamming effectiveness based on principal component analysis and machine learning. Firstly, taking into account the diversity of variables in radar countermeasure experiments and the complexity of constraints between variables, we propose a bipartite covering array for the experimental scheme, which requires that each level combination of any radar parameter and jammer parameter occurs at least once, to ensure the rationality of the experiments. Secondly, according to the characteristics of multiple jammers and the analysis of impacts on radar performances, we combine the existing indicators and use the principal component analysis method to obtain two comprehensive indicators, which better reflect radar performances. Finally, we select the best model as a prediction for radar comprehensive indicators by comparing several machine learning algorithm models, including classification and regression tree, random forest, xgboost, and SVM. Additional experiments verify the effectiveness of the resulted model.

This research was conducted to determine the effects of alternative measurement and evaluation on the knowledge, attitude and motivation levels of 7th grade students towards science lesson. In the research, quasi-experimental method, pretest-posttest experimental design with control group was used. The research was conducted in a public secondary school in Van and lasted for 14 weeks. There are 35 students in the control group and 37 students in the experimental group. Data were collected with Knowledge Test, Attitude and Motivation Scale. In the control group, student-centered teaching using traditional measurement and evaluation tools was applied, and in the experimental group, student-centered teaching using alternative measurement and evaluation techniques was applied. In the study, a significant increase was found in the level of knowledge in both the control and experimental groups. While there was a significant increase in the attitude and motivation level of the experimental group, there was no significant increase in the attitude and motivation level of the control group. In addition, the knowledge, attitude and motivation post-test and follow-up test scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group. This shows that alternative measurement and evaluation contribute to the level of knowledge, attitude and motivation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To determine the effectiveness of the activities in the education and training process and to provide feedback on the inputs and outputs of the system, quantitative and qualitative data are collected from students and the collected data are analyzed and interpreted. All these processes take place within the scope of educational measurement and evaluation activities. Measurement and evaluation activities are practices frequently conducted by teachers in the classroom to monitor the education and training process, which makes them an important element of the teaching process. The main purpose of this research is to reveal the competence of primary school teachers in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus TRNC to use measurement and evaluation methods. This study aims to determine the qualifications of teachers in measurement and evaluation practices and uses the relational screening design, one of the quantitative research methods. The study population consists of 276 teachers working in primary schools in the TRNC in the 2020-2021 academic year. The research data were collected through the Recommended Measurement and Evaluation Practices Scale and the Applied Measurement and Evaluation Techniques Form. The SPPS 26.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data obtained. The study results showed that male teachers' recommended measurement and evaluation levels and the levels of measurement and evaluation techniques applied are higher than female teachers. In addition, there was a positive correlation between the scales used. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Tests are designed as an integral part of the teaching process, necessarily including stakeholders from the onset of preparations to grade allocation, the administration of the test, and the interpretation of the results. The process commences with selecting content to evaluate, deciding upon the skills to be tested, and meeting course objectives (Giraldo & Murcia Quintero, 2019; O'Louglin, 2013; Vogt and Tsagari, 2014). Several questions arise in terms of how to standardize the development process and evaluate its usefulness. Typically, what is the best test for our context? What does this test actually test? What relevant information does the test provide? How does this test affect teaching and learning behavior? And in what ways is the test useful? Although each language program's particular needs may differ, the answers given to the questions above provide a basis for institutional decisions. None are set in stone, and at their root is the critical role testing plays in facilitating what gets learned. The current study initiated action to develop and analyze an achievement test specifically designed for a compulsory A1-level English course delivered to all freshmen students enrolled in Turkish-medium departments at state universities across Türkiye. 150 students who are enrolled in several undergraduate programs at the Faculty of Education at a state university constituted the universe of the study. The researcher analyzed the test after administration and mapped the qualities according to a test usefulness model, aiming to address the research gap regarding quality teacher-produced tests. With the development of modern electronic countermeasure technology, the fight between radar jamming and anti-jamming has become increasingly fierce. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As the media landscape changes and billions of people around the world turn to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other social media platforms for information and social interactions, the need to develop effective methods of leveraging social media for social behavior change communication (SBCC) becomes increasingly important. Yet, in order for the public health sector to embrace social media for SBCC, we must have methods for measuring the impact of social media-based SBCC. In this letter, we share a new approach for measurement and evaluation of social media-based SBCC campaigns. The approach was developed as part of an iron-folic acid health intervention targeting young women in two states in northern India; Uttar Pradesh and Maydar Pradesh.

YOUNG adults , *SCHOOL dropouts , *POVERTY , *URBAN poor - Abstract
This paper examines the issue of educational fragility in terms of three dimensions: explicit and implicit early school leaving (ESL) and educational poverty. The three dimensions are analysed in the form of an interpretative taxonomy. Explicit ESL is basically a measure of the extent to which students drop out of school early. Implicit ESL, on the other hand, is a measure of the proportion of young people who leave school without the expected level of preparation. Finally, educational poverty is seen as a kind of logical sum of the two previous dimensions. Reducing educational poverty requires, first and foremost, an in-depth pedagogical and cultural reflection capable of unravelling the knots that still burden our schools. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

STUDENT teachers , *ONE-way analysis of variance , *UNDERGRADUATE programs , *EDUCATIONAL tests & measurements , *TEACHER attitudes , *STUDENT adjustment - Abstract
Measurement and evaluation is one of the basic elements of education and the pursuit of quality in education. In this study, it is aimed to determine the general efficacy perceptions and attitudes of pre-service teachers who have taken assessment and evaluation course, the relationship between efficacy and attitude, the degree of the relationship and the effect of general efficacy perception on assessment and evaluation course on attitude. "Measurement and evaluation common competency perceptıon scale for prospectıve teachers: a validity and reliability study" was used to determine the efficacy perceptions of prospective teachers towards the assessment and evaluation course, and the "" Adaptation of Attitudes toward Educational Measurement Inventory (ATEMI) to Turkish" scale was used to determine their attitudes towards this course. The universe of the research consists of pre-service teachers enrolled in undergraduate programs in the Faculty of Education of Amasya University, who received assessment and evaluation training. The prospective teachers who participated in the survey were selected using the stratified sampling method, which is one of the non-random sampling methods. 342 pre-service teachers were selected as participants in the universe divided into strata according to undergraduate programs. A one-way analysis of variance was used to determine whether there was a difference between the mean of undergraduate programs for the two scales. Among the undergraduate programs, the differences that emerged as a result of the analysis of variance were determined by the Tukey test among the Post-Hoc tests. The relationship between pre-service teachers' general efficacy perceptions and attitudes towards this course was investigated and the effect of general efficacy perceptions on attitude was determined by regression analysis. Writing, besides being one of the most important means of telling, is the process of expressing feelings and thoughts in a planned way. In this process, the arrangement that constitutes the lower step of the planning phase; the steps of reformatting the text, classifying the thoughts, adding new thoughts and redesigning are carried out. In this study, it was aimed to determine the use cases of the students' requirements for reviewing the texts in the teaching process, and then to increase the awareness levels of the teachers about the practices they do in the text editing phase. The field research method was used in the research and the data were collected with the 'Review Applications Diagnosis Form'. Descriptive statistics were used in the analysis of the data and the data were evaluated in the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 statistical program. For this purpose, 120 teachers who graduated from Turkish language teaching undergraduate program and 110 Turkish language teachers who graduated from Turkish language literature undergraduate program were reached. In the study, it was concluded that the students applied the strategies related to the revision and re-adjustment phase of the writing process in a limited and superficial manner. In addition, it was concluded that the students preferred the way of changing words, adding or removing words more in the process of reviewing the text. On the other hand, it was concluded that while the students frequently applied word replacement in their practice of reviewing their texts regarding the editing phase of the writing process, they applied the addition and removing less frequently in phrases, sentences and thoughts, however, they almost never applied replacement and reordering. While there was a statistically significant difference between Turkish and Turkish language literature teachers in terms of awareness of revision and correction procedures, there was no statistically significant difference in terms of evaluation status.

COMMUNICATION in management , *STRATEGIC communication , *COMMUNICATION policy , *ACTIVE listening , *TRADE shows - Abstract
The article presents a case study on the perception and evaluation parameters of communication management by general directors of trade fair organizations affiliated with the International Association of Trade Fairs of America AFIDA, which brings together more than fifty organizations in Latin America, Spain and Portugal. A bibliographical review of various theories, models, and studies on the measurement and evaluation of communication was carried out. The emphasis has been placed on publications made in the present century with the aim of identifying and parameterizing how to measure, evaluate and assess communication management. The studies and proposals made in the present century were analyzed, focusing on whether there is a clear methodology to measure communication, and the interest in measurement. The state of strategic communication in the professional field, the characteristics of excellent communication, and the follow-up to the key aspects of the profession have been examined. Trends, roles and best practices of the profession, budgets, and functions of communication measurement and evaluation. In addition, several substantial inputs for communication management and evaluation have been identified as the Barcelona principles which have been reissued and updated twice. The framework for monitoring communication that presents several levels of impact for the measurement and evaluation of communication. The culture of active listening to stakeholders recommended by the Melbourne Mandate. In recent years, new contributions have been made, such as the Integrated Evaluation Framework, the global model of public relations and communication and several strategic communication impact indicators, among others. With this information, the proposal of components for the measurement and evaluation of strategic communication management was constructed as a theoretical contribution, consisting of twenty variables grouped into six components: management function of communication, diagnostic research, approach to objectives, results to be obtained, evaluation methods and results report. Each of them represents a parameter that allows self-assessment and determination of whether the communication management of an organization reaches the strategic level. The proposal Components of the measurement and evaluation of strategic communication management, represents the theoretical basis on which the case study of the present investigation is carried out, which has as objectives to know the perception and the evaluation parameters of the management of the communication from the perspective of the general directors of the fair organizations affiliated to the International Association of Fairs of America, Spain and Portugal AFIDA. The research was conducted through semi-structured interviews with directors of trade fair organizations that are or have been members of AFIDA's board of directors and who attended the 51st Latin American Congress of the Trade Fair and Convention Industry, held in Bogota in April 2022. A survey was also applied to the remaining CEOs attending the congress. The information-gathering instruments included questions regarding to the influence and competence of the communication directors, department budget, alignment of communication objectives, results to be obtained, evaluation methods, and communication results reports. The most relevant results show that the directors' perception of communication management is more operational than strategic, the main function of the communication director is to advise top management, communication objectives have little alignment with organizational objectives and there is a weakness on the part of the Dircoms to manage and include organizational and financial indexes in the reports.
