Запропоновано напрямки підвищення ефективності організації надання психосоціальної допомоги., The article considers the main negative health and social consequences of psychological disorders in combatants and their families. An analysis was conducted of the main regulatory documents in the field of social welfare and social assistance for combatants, as well as providing psychological support to them. The state of psychological support and social adaptation of combatants and their families were studied. Directions to increase the efficiency of psychosocial support organization were proposed.

The article considers the nature, causes, determinants and consequences of corruption. As a form of social deviation of a delinquent nature and as a type of crime, corruption has a destructive effect on all spheres of social life, primarily on their management - by redistributing their resources and by replacing social values and goals with group and personal ones. Corruption affects not only states but also international affairs; therefore, we need active opposition to corruption from the world community: International Anti-Corruption Day was included in the calendars of 187 countries including Russia. According to the World Bank, the annual global amount of bribes is 1 trillion US dollars. For many countries, corruption has become a threat to national security, which makes them seek and use effective and often radical measures to counter corruption, and to conduct comprehensive studies of corruption as an objective and widespread social phenomenon. The authors consider corruption on the basis of an interdisciplinary methodology with an emphasis on institutional and structural-functional approaches, which allowed to identify institutional features of corruption, its structure, functions and social consequences, and to assess the efficiency of anti-corruption measures. The article is based on the statistical data on the dynamics of corruption in Russia and the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2012-2020, and on the results of the sociological survey conducted by the Institute for Strategic Studies of the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2020 according to the methodology for assessing corruption described in the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation. The survey focused on the problems in the interaction of citizens and employees of state and municipal authorities (everyday corruption), and in the interaction of authorities and business (business corruption) (the corresponding samples were 814 and 300 people). The study of everyday corruption was conducted by individual formalized interviews, of business corruption - by the online survey on the Google Forms.

Political education means preparing citizens to accept social roles and perform political duties in society. Wise political education is one of the educational models that is rooted in the philosophical tradition of ancient Greece and has been considered by thinkers in different historical periods. In this educational model, the institutionalization of political and social values and norms is followed in three individual, family and social areas of education. In this process, the physical and mental education of individuals begins from childhood and they are taught political and social skills and awareness on the path to development. Teaching moral virtues and avoiding moral vices is the basis of wise political education. The institution of the family has the task of institutionalizing values and norms such as love, affection, courage, friendship, cooperation and rule of law in children. And in the process, individuals are prepared to accept and play political and social roles.

Philosophers of science continue to elaborate our understanding of the roles that values play in scientific reasoning, practice, and institutions. This special issue focuses on the environmental sciences, a mosaic of fields ranging from restoration ecology to forestry to climatology, unified by its attention to the relationships between humans and their habitats. It is a field that revolves around ameliorating environmental problems, aiming to support the provision of social goods and provide guidance to policymakers about how to regulate individuals and industries. Values abound in such judgments as setting the boundaries of an ecosystem, integrating the human dimensions of social-ecological systems, and collaborating with stakeholders. Since few in the field are likely to insist that these judgments can be made without reference to social values, environmental science can serve as fertile ground for exploring the ethical, social, and political terrain at the frontier of the science and values discourse.

An individual's gender determines his position in the society he lives in. According to the social role theory, the differences between the behaviours of women and men can be explained by gender stereotypes and social roles. Value and attitudes go hand in hand. It is noteworthy that the individual has gained or possessed in the situation that causes these attitudes to occur. Therefore, in this research, the goal is to examine to what degree the attitudes of university students towards gender roles predict their value orientation. The participants are comprised 252 undergraduate students in a state university in Turkey and a private university in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus during the academic year 2020-2021. Using the required sampling process, which is one of the non-random sampling techniques, the test sample was calculated. The data of the study were collected in the Social "Gender Roles Attitude" Scale and the "Portrait Value Scale". In the data analysis of the research, in variables that do not show a normal distribution, t-test was used and the relationship of variables with each other was analysed using Pearson's Product-Moment Correlation. Later, based on this relationship, multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine whether the variables predicted each other and if yes, to what extent they do so. The attitudes towards gender roles subscales and meaning orientations were shown to have a statistically positive meaningful association. It was found that the relation between the traditional gender roles sub-dimension of attitude to gender roles and meaning orientations was positively significant. The explanatory perception of the deserving preference of university students towards "traditional gender role" is very strong. Within the framework of the study findings, the related literature was addressed and necessary recommendations were made.

Aesthetic destruction was one of the many atrocities employed by colonialism to disrupt groups of people coming from Africa, but history shows a centralization of black aesthetics in the social movements of the Black community, such as afros and box braids. This work presents an exploratory research in order to understand whether the social values added to the cosmetic services provided by a black-owned beauty salon in Belo Horizonte contribute to the empowerment and emancipation of black people. The data were collected from regulars at Salao Ubuhle. Through the analysis of excerpts from these conversations with the applied values, it was possible to conclude that the social values implemented to the customer service policies and procedures can assist black people in their individual emancipation process.

In Western society, teacher social recognition has been identified as an important factor for improving teaching and learning. Although there are currently instruments that measure teacher social recognition, they mainly address the Western conceptualization of recognition and rely on simplistic measurement schemes. Supporting teachers via recognition in Eastern societies—whose cultural values and societal structure differ from those of Western society—necessitates a measurement tool that reflects the unique context and social values of those teachers. This study describes the construction and validation of a Teacher Social Recognition Scale via factor analysis to develop an instrument that measures Chinese teachers’ concept of social recognition. Limitations and future research directions are discussed.

Dados do Censo Agropecuário revelam que os conhecimentos da ciência agrícola moderna não são utilizados por parcela significativa dos agricultores brasileiros. Este setor é, entretanto, responsável pelo desenvolvimento de complexos sistemas de conhecimento da natureza, da gestão dos ecossistemas e da produção de alimentos. Tal distanciamento vai além da simples questão de barreiras à adoção de novas tecnologias, situando-se no campo dos valores éticos e sociais nos quais a pesquisa científica é majoritariamente desenvolvida. O presente artigo fundamenta-se no modelo da interação entre as atividades científicas e valores (M-CV) de Hugh Lacey para argumentar que a pesquisa em Agroecologia, ao inserir-se num universo de valores distinto daquele da ciência comercialmente orientada, contribui para fortalecer os setores sociais que não têm suas perspectivas priorizadas pela ciência agrícola dominante.

The economy of European countries developed rapidly after the Western Industrial Revolution, and the rural areas of European countries also experienced long-term failure and depression. In the process of urbanization construction, the rural construction also faced many problems. In particular, after the urbanization rate exceeded 50%, European countries took targeted measures to revitalize rural areas in response to many problems in rural development, promoting the development process of urban-rural integration. Especially in Europe in the value orientation in the process of rural construction, there are many worth learning and using for reference of experience, in this paper, the European countries value index selection of rural construction, and implementation of rural construction scheme under this value orientation [1] research summary, draw lessons from the mature experience of the European countries rural construction, combined with China’s national conditions related to rural revitalization of advice are put forward.

Ensuring trustworthy performance of autonomous agents and multiagent systems (MAS) requires computational methods and formal tools to support reasoning about different forms of responsibility. In particular, such tools are needed to support identifying agents or agent groups that are responsible, blameworthy, accountable, or sanctionable for outcomes of collective decisions, for fulfilling tasks, or for adhering to norms and social values. As a step toward developing computational frameworks to represent, reason about, and distinguish these forms of responsibility in MAS, for the first time, we present sociotechnical characteristics of these notions of responsibility, identify their requirements, and discuss their applicability for coordinating MAS and ensuring their trustworthiness. This is a step toward establishing a research agenda on how computational techniques for reasoning about and distinguishing different forms of responsibility contribute to the transformation toward ethical and trustworthy autonomous systems.

In this article I attempt to highlight and briefly analyze some problematic aspects of the theory of prototypes and its implications in moral thought. I focus on the issue of moral judgement and the impact of prototypicality on our understanding of moral concepts. The objective of the article is to indicate the significance of the new perspectives opened by the notion of prototype, but also to point out certain difficulties. Some of the problematic questions emerge from the very existence of the prototype structure of categories and concepts; other problems arise with reference to the proposed implications or postulates which are connected with the acknowledgement of the significance of prototypicality. Due to the recognition of the practical dimension of ethics, the main issues are presented through examples of concepts which are commonly used in everyday life, ­referring to political and social values, traits of character and emotions.

Memòria, recuperació d’artesania i sostenibilitat es un proyecto entre la Universitat de Barcelona y los IES Rovira-Forns y Estela Ibèrica de Santa Perpètua de Mogoda. Pretende recuperar los sistemas productivos tradicionales de la artesanía aplicándolos a la producción artística y al diseño; dotar al alumnado de las herramientas necesarias para la producción artesanal vinculada con la memoria histórica local; intercambiar con la población las costumbres y tradiciones en relación con la producción artesanal; evidenciar, basándose en los preceptos fundamentales de la economía feminista, la importancia del trabajo doméstico. El proyecto se desarrolla a través de la metodología de Aprendizaje-Servicio (ApS): estudiantes del Grado de Bellas Artes tutorizan a alumnado de tercero de ESO de los dos institutos a través del Programa de Servicio Comunitario del Ayuntamiento de Santa Perpètua de Mogoda. Mediante la ficha didáctica Identitats truncades (2020) de Eulàlia Grau Costa et al., en clave de metodología del descubrir, el alumnado explora la realidad de la producción textil y artística. El proyecto culmina con una primera exposición y unas jornadas de investigación y docencia artística. Se potencian valores sociales como la reutilización y un modelo textil más sostenible para incidir directamente en el territorio y la comunidad recuperando la rica memoria local textil.

With the development and application of internet technology, network information has penetrated into all aspects of people’s lives, profoundly affecting the ideology, value orientation, and national consciousness of people, especially the youth. It has impacted and brought new challenges to patriotic education in colleges and universities. Effectively establishing a position for patriotic education from the perspective of network ideology and politics in the new era is a topic of interest. It is of great significance for enhancing college students’ patriotism as well as strengthening national self-confidence and identity.

Munculnya konsep pemberdayaan masyarakat (social empowerment) sebagai akibat dari kegagalan konsep pembangunan (development) yang pernah diterapkan sebelumnya di Indonesia (di masa orde baru) dan juga di negara-negara berkembang Asia lainnya. Konsep “pembangunan” yang dibawa oleh paradigma ekonomi neoklasik ini, begitu mendewakan industrialisasi dan mekanisme trickle down effect (efek rambatan) yang terbukti tidak mampu mensejahterakan masyarakat secara merata. Secara konseptual pemberdayaan masyarakat didefinisikan sebagai sebuah konsep pembangunan ekonomi yang merangkum nilai-nilai sosial. Konsep ini mencerminkan paradigma baru pembangunan, yakni bersifat people centered (berpusat pada manusia), participatory (partisipatif), empowering (memberdayakan), dan sustainable (berkelanjutan). Ekonomi kreatif menjadi salah satu konsep penting dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat, sebab cukup banyak program pemberdayaan masyarakat di bidang ekonomi kreatif yang terbukti mampu meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat. Paper ini membahas sacara teoritis konsep pemberdayaan masyarakat, latar belakang munculnya konsep pemberdayaan masyarakat, teori-teori pemberdayaan masyarakat (teori ABCD (asset based community development) dan teori stakeholders), konsep peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat, konsep ekonomi kreatif, tipologi masyarakat dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat, serta alur pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pembentukan Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUM Desa). Abstract: The emergence of the concept of community empowerment (social empowerment) as a result of the failure of the concept of development (development) that had been applied before in Indonesia (in the New Order era) and was applied in other Asian developing countries. The concept of "development" brought about by this neoclassical economic paradigm, so deified industrialization and the trickle-down effect mechanism, which has proven to be incapable of equitably prospering society. Conceptually, community empowerment is defined as a concept of economic development that encapsulates social values. This concept reflects the new paradigm of development, which is people-centered (human-centered), participatory (participatory), empowering (empowering), and sustainable (sustainable). The creative economy is one of the important concepts in community economic empowerment because quite a lot of community empowerment programs in the creative economy have succeeded in improving the community's economy. This paper discusses theoretically the concept of community empowerment, the background to the emergence of the concept of community empowerment, theories of community empowerment (ABCD theory (asset-based community development) and stakeholders theory), the concept of community economic improvement, the concept of the creative economy, typology of society in community empowerment, and the flow of community empowerment through the establishment of BUM Desa. Although communicating healthcare information via social media is becoming more common, less is known about older adults who suffer from digital inequalities regarding how they perceive the values from engaging in social media for healthcare-related purposes. Time perspective theory suggests that older adults’ perceptions of time influence their value assessments and actions. The paper investigates whether the effects of time perspective (present- and future-time) and its interaction with perceived values (hedonic, emotional, informational and social) explain older adults’ continuance intention to engage in social media for healthcare-related purposes. About 400 responses from older adults (above 60 years) were collected and analyzed using the structural equation modelling procedure. Different time perspectives result in biases in older adults’ perception of values, which discourages their social media engagement and leads to negative consequences for actively promoting online communication, including negative social value and negative social engagement attitude. Contrary to earlier findings, this study indicates that the present-time perspective has no effect on hedonic and informational values, whereas the future-time perspective has a negative influence on hedonic and social values. Further, hedonic and emotional values decrease the likelihood of continuance interaction with peers. The time perspectives affect different perceived values, which in turn affects the continuance intention to engage in social media for healthcare-related purposes. The findings demonstrated that time perspective theory operates in the opposite direction between the present and future time. The results reinforce the importance of enjoyment and emotional values and the irrelevance of informative and social values in examining older adults’ social media behaviors.

Authenticity, generally regarded as coherence between one's inner self and outward behavior, is associated with myriad social values (e.g., integrity) and beneficial outcomes, such as psychological well-being. Scholarship suggests, however, that behaving authentically online is complicated by self-presentation norms that make it difficult to present a complex self as well as encourage sharing positive emotions and facets of self and discourage sharing difficult emotions. In this paper, we position authenticity as a self-presentation norm and identify the sociomaterial factors that contribute to the learning, enactment, and enforcement of authenticity on the short-video sharing platform TikTok. We draw on interviews with 15 U.S. TikTok users to argue that normative authenticity and understanding of TikTok as a "fun" platform are mutually constitutive in supporting a "just be you" attitude on TikTok that in turn normalizes expressions of both positive and difficult emotions and experiences. We consider the social context of TikTok and use an affordance lens to identify anonymity, of oneself and one's audience; association between content and the "For You" landing page; and video modality of TikTok as factors informing authenticity as a self-presentation norm. We argue that these factors similarly contribute to TikTok's viability as a space for social support exchange and address the utility of the comments section as a site for both supportive communication and norm judgment and enforcement. We conclude by considering the limitations of authenticity as social norm and present implications for designing online spaces for social support and connection.

In a social dilemma, group members have equal access to collective resources, but each must decide between acting in self-interested or collectively interested ways when considering their contribution to the group. Our research focused on how the perceived fairness of contributions and outcomes affects these decisions. We report on an experiment that manipulated two factors related to fairness: dilemma-framing that emphasized either individual or collective gains, and whether the partner’s relative contribution was high, low, or equal to the subject’s. Also, subjects’ social value orientations—individualist vs. prosocial—were balanced across conditions. Subjects made two rounds of contribution decisions and received feedback on their outcomes after each. As hypothesized for first-round contributions, prosocials contributed more to public goods and framing had no discernable effect. In the second round, neither social value orientation nor framing influenced participants’ fairness evaluations when partners made a low initial contribution to the group, but dilemma-framing affected participants’ fairness evaluations when the partner made a high contribution to the group. Importantly, results generally supported key hypotheses for participants’ attempts to rectify injustices via subsequent contributions and bonus sharing. Partner’s contributions, social value orientation, and dilemma-framing all affected redistributive behaviors.

Este artículo da cuenta de la investigación ‘Estrategias didácticas para el fortalecimiento socioafectivo de los estudiantes de preescolar de la Institución Educativa Rodolfo Castro Castro’ que tuvo como objetivo, promover comportamientos socioafectivos en estudiantes de preescolar a través de estrategias didácticas. Está sustentada teóricamente por Acuña-Collado, Brunner y Elacqua, Cedeño y Ochoa, Godoy y Campoverde, Ocampo, et al., entre otros. Se ubicó en el paradigma postpositivista, con la metodología de Investigación Acción Pedagógica que se desarrolló en tres fases: la deconstrucción, la construcción y la reconstrucción de la práctica, con aplicación de las estrategias didácticas y la validación de la efectividad de la práctica alternativa o reconstruida. La unidad de trabajo fueron 29 estudiantes de preescolar. Los resultados indicaron que la implementación de las estrategias didácticas fue pertinente y eficaz, porque cambió la actitud de los niños, quienes lograron expresar sus emociones y sentimientos; se fortaleció la autoestima, el afianzamiento de las relaciones personales, los valores sociales y hubo cambio de actitud ante el proceso de aprendizaje.

This study studies social entrepreneurial competencies, social values, and transformational leadership. They are a requirement during the COVID-19 pandemic. It arises to find out the effect of social entrepreneurship on social values and the influence of transformational leadership in memorizing the influence of social entrepreneurship on social values with a total of 200 respondents as social entrepreneurship leaders who have been announced in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative method with a structural equation model (SEM) analysis tool in AMOS software. SEM analysis in this study uses the moderating SEM method with a mixed-methods approach. Data analysis has been carried out through data processing. The values obtained mean that higher social entrepreneurship will increase social value by 9.4%; if transformational leadership increases, a significance value of 0.85 is obtained. This value is greater than 0.05. It is proved that the role of social entrepreneurship fosters innovative abilities, proactive development, and the courage to take risks for the people in Indonesia and the impact of social values fosters social recognition, responsibility, and contribution to the economy with attitudes with potential transformational leadership behaviors as well as inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and consideration of the community. Social capital being the network of relationship plays a significant role in managing risk and crisis situation saving human lives from an adverse effect and impact of disasters. The authors and scholars across many countries through their disaster studies show that social capital with the form of bonding, bridging and linking rescued the victims of disasters, evacuated the most vulnerable people to safer places, provided food and drinking water and other basic amenities to the victims of disasters, provided homes to the homeless and solaced to those who were psychologically depressed. However, the literature review further specified that while bonding and bridging social capital extended support to the victims of disasters in abundance, the linking social capital on the other hand supported only to those who are in close contact with the persons and institutions in power and authority. Review of literature is done purely through qualitative research methodology which has had read 86 relevant articles published within the last 10- to 12-year period of time. This review paper both contributes to the social capital literature and helps those responsible for planning and policy framework to effectively manage future disasters and safeguard lives and properties and enhance capacities of the most vulnerable people to absorb shocks and stress successfully.

This article used the 2018 China Family Panel Studies (CFPS2018) data to systematically examine the impact of Internet access on corruption perceptions and its mechanisms. After controlling for a series of variables such as demographic characteristics and cultural and psychological factors, this study found that there is a significant correlation between Internet access and individuals’ perception of corruption, which could be attributed to the characteristics of the Internet and the individuals’ “negativity bias effect”. In addition, a mechanism analysis found that both political trust and relative deprivation played an incomplete intermediary role between Internet use and the perception of corruption and between Internet use time and the perception of corruption, which is consistent with the explanations of a “negativity bias effect”, a “halo effect” and “self-serving attribution bias”. The moderating role of authoritative value orientation between Internet access and the perception of corruption was not obvious.

This research is motivated by the lack of application of spiritual and social values which are considered important in the implementation of congregational prayers in order to achieve the goal of perfect worship, both physically and mentally. The purpose of this study is to determine the meaning of the spiritual and social values of students in congregational prayers at the La Tansa Islamic Boarding School. To find out the process of applying the spiritual and social values of students in congregational prayers, as well as their implications for the lives of students at the La Tansa Islamic Boarding School. The research method used is a qualitative research method. The data collection tools used observational analysis, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that spiritual values are values contained in the human soul, which in the human soul has a spirit. The essence of spiritual value is the spirit. Everyone must have a spirit and that spirit is in their own soul. The only one who knows about the spirit is Allah while the creatures do not. While social values are values held by society, regarding what is considered good and what is considered bad by society.Keywords: Social Values, Spiritual Values, Islamic Boarding School

The relevance of this article is in its new insight into “right to life” through a philosophical and legal approach, which provides the recognition of life and its integral elements such as health, honour and dignity as the highest social values. It means that giving preference to other values is unacceptable. As a result of the analysis of sufficient scientific material, it was possible to establish the following features of the right and life, in particular: it is integral, inalienable and inviolable, so it is a natural right; the right to life is characterized by its equality (generality) and universality; it is a fundamental and absolute right; nonmaterial and personal nature of the right to life, impossibility of renewal or impossibility of succession; it provides a close connection with a person – the holder of this right; the object of legal protection of the right to life is life as the unity of existence in its three forms: physiological, sociological and internal (spiritual). The discovery of the basic features of the right to life has helped us to fix that a person as the holder of this right should be considered as a biosocial being who has an ability to live not only as a biological species but as a social one as well. Accordingly, person includes the concepts of “personality” and “individual”, where social and spiritual aspects of human existence correspond to the concept of “personality”, and biological and natural aspects correspond to the concept of “individual”. Taking this into account, the characteristics of a person should be based on his biological features with an accent on social, cultural, spiritual and moral side. A person is a biosocial being who has only his inherent features: consciousness, freedom, creativity, thinking, speech, etc. and combines physical, social, spiritual and moral aspects in him. Hence, the object of legal protection of the right to life is the life as the unity of existence in its three forms: physiological, sociological and spiritual.

The paper examines teacher pragmatic acts (verbal and embodied) in response to children's crying in a Russian preschool. It focuses on crying episodes associated with children's inability or unwillingness to follow the norms and expectations surrounding children's conduct (e.g., crying when not allowed to do something). The paper employs discourse analysis; the data are 40 h of video- and audio-recorded interactions. The analysis shows that teachers used directives and other pragmatic acts (e.g., assessments, explanations) that encouraged children to stop crying. The directives were produced in multi-party participation frameworks where peers were referred to or recruited as active participants. Teachers used positive and negative assessments of crying. Crying was presented in a negative light in contrast with positive non-crying behaviors; positive assessments (praise and affectionate touch) were offered when crying stopped. The consequences of crying were presented as negatively affecting others. It is argued that such discursive treatment of crying contributes to socializing children to conformity. The paper contributes to our understanding of how through the use of pragmatic acts, child crying is discursively treated in ways that invoke norms of pragmatic conduct (e.g., not crying when asked to participate in a planned activity) and social values regarding group membership.

Behind the phenomenon of corruption cases that are still rampant in the Indonesian government, there is an agency that has gained public trust and appreciation, namely the Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK). The role and performance of the Corruption Eradication Commission is considered the most successful corruption eradication agency in Indonesia. This study aims to explore and at the same time identify the prophetic social value of Islam in the KPK code of ethics. This qualitative research is in the form of a literature review. This research approach uses a normative-philosophical approach. The primary data source of this research is the code of ethics of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia. While the secondary data sources are various scientific researches that are relevant to the main object of the discussion. The analytical theory used is the Ilmu Sosial Profetik paradigm (ISP) which was initiated by Kuntowijoyo. The results of this study conclude the existence of prophetic Islamic social values ​​contained in various values ​​of the KPK code of ethics. First, the value of transcendence (iman) in the code of ethics of religiosity. The existence of the value of religiosity can be said to be a manifestation of the value of Islamic transcendence which makes religious teachings as signs in the activities of social life in the performance of KPK members. Second, the value of humanization in the code of ethics of integrity and professionalism.the values ​​of integrity and professionalism are humanization values ​​that serve as ethical guidelines for KPK members in realizing truth values ​​(amar makruf) in their various duties and activities. Third, the value of liberation (nahi munkar) in the code of ethics for justice and leadership. The KPK code of ethics in the form of justice and leadership values ​​is a fundamental value for KPK members in realizing the orientation of the value of liberation from the political system that has a negative impact on people's lives.

Introduction. The fundamental principles of inclusive development are equality of opportunity, availability of all types of resources, equality and fairness in the distribution of income and benefits. The main message of inclusive recreational nature management is the creation of equal opportunities for the use of natural recreational resources and areas for the well-being and quality of life of people. Realization of priorities of the organization of recreational activity is not possible without the developed institutional maintenance. Defining the leading role of state authorities and civil society representatives, which establish a system of laws, rights and responsibilities, "rules of the game" and develop a set of mechanisms for their close institutionalized interaction, it is necessary to form institutions within which public representatives reconcile contradictions and determine common interests. Aim and tasks. The purpose of the study is to study the state and develop directions for the development of institutional support for inclusive tourism and recreational nature. Results. The article examines the state of institutional support for inclusive tourist and recreational nature management in Ukraine. The essence and its content are determined, the documents according to which it is determined are analyzed. The domestic legislative and normative-legal base of regulation of nature use in general and recreational in particular is studied, where separate principles of inclusive development are laid down. At the same time, a significant layer of problems remains unresolved, including the formation of new principles, forms of management to prevent the degradation of natural recreational resources, their diversity and sustainability. The interaction of formal institutions and institutes (legislative and normative base, system of state regulation, bodies of state administration and local self-government, public organizations, approved norms and norms of nature use) and informal institutions has to promote inclusive recreational nature use. Conclusions. The study of the state and directions of development of institutional support of inclusive recreational nature management allowed to determine that the implementation of an inclusive approach requires: changing the structure and stereotype of recreational needs of people and restructuring the economy of recreational nature management; reducing economic and social inequality of people to meet their recreational needs and ensuring equal access to valuable natural recreational resources.

Religious education was established as a compulsory curriculum requirement in all schools by the 1944 Education Act. It was intended to provide instruction to all pupils in the basic tenets of the Christian faith and ensure that every successive generation of pupils understood the role of Christianity in British history and the national sense of British identity. In examining the sociohistorical context in which this groundbreaking education act emerged it is evident that at that time religious education had a very clear purpose and unambiguous raison d'etre. It was a key element in the socialisation process of children which familiarised them with the prevailing societal norms of behaviour, social values and dominant beliefs. By the second decade of the twenty-first century this certainty about a rationale for RE had been lost. Widespread confusion had developed about what the point of religious education actually was, and inspections of RE teaching revealed the subject to be in a parlous state (OFSTED in: Religious education: realising the potential, 2013; in: School inspection handbook, 2019). In 2016 the Religious Education Council of England and Wales established the Commission on Religious Education (CoRE) in an attempt to bring some clarity back into the subject. In the years between 1944 and 2021 social norms, values and beliefs had changed significantly and consequently the world RE teachers were seeking to socialise children into was and is very different. The solution proposed by the CoRE is to concentrate on teaching 'worldviews' to prepare pupils to respect the diversity of beliefs in contemporary society. Far from saving the subject, however, this shift of focus can be seen in many ways which are explored in this paper to be more likely to hasten the end of RE as a curriculum subject and to accelerate its replacement by an enhanced form of citizenship education.

PurposeEducational management's main task is to achieve learning quality outcomes in acquiring knowledge, scientific skills and social values. This study aims to provide a background on Egyptian thought development in educational management from 1990 to 2020.Design/methodology/approachIn this study, we used the descriptive method to collect and interpret data. This method aims to describe an object of phenomena after data collection, analyze it, identify the conditions and relationships between variables and monitor the challenges arising from Egypt's educational system's problems.FindingsThe results showed the following: (1) the trend toward decentralization of educational management is not fulfill during that period and (2) the district and directorate administration continued to receive administrative instructions from the managerial ladder's highest authorities. The Ministry of Education was in control of policy decision-making processes and administrative and financial responsibilities. Many decisions and laws hinder decentralization, such as centralizing examinations, curricula and teachers' recruitment and transfer.Originality/valueThe challenges of developing educational management are related to the shortage of modern management methods in administrative leadership, organizational behavior and decision-making, such as human relations and decentralized administration. Also, the insufficient material resources, managerial competencies and educational, intellectual stagnation among many leaders and administrators.

There are calls to consider the views of the diverse public in bushfire policy, planning, and management, yet those who do not typically participate in social research and/or government community engagement activities are generally under-represented. A mixed method research design was used, including a survey, intercept and in-depth interviews to study a diversity of views. Concepts of social values, knowledge and practices were drawn on first to examine participants’ relationship to bushfire and second to discuss bushfire engagement. We identified and analyzed three relationships to bushfire: Irrelevant to me; Terror at my door; A rural concern. Participants’ values were more focused on people, pets, and special things than in earlier research and they generally perceived bushfire as solely a domain for experts. There is an opportunity to find ways to resonate with their values and relationships to bushfire, and to shape bushfire research and practice.

Ramadan fasting rituals have a big mission in shaping the social personality of a Muslim. This is because the obligation of fasting is a theocentric-oriented category of worship and an anthropocentric orientation. This study seeks to explore the predictive social values ​​contained in the mandatory religious fasting of Ramadan. This is library research with a philosophical normative approach. Meanwhile, the analytical theory used, namely the theory of social science (ISP), which Kuntowijoyo put forward, was in the form of values ​​of humanization, liberation, and transcendence. The study concludes that three prophetic social values can be taken from the spirituality of Ramadan fasting, including (1) faith commitment as a manifestation of transcendent values ​​, (2) fostering social piety character as a manifestation of liberation, (3) Social care as a manifestation of humanization.

PurposeThe authors investigate the association of the constructed corporate social responsibility (CSR) measures with the banks’ profitability, social contributions and CSR spending as well as the market reaction to CSR spending.Design/methodology/approachUsing textual analysis of the CSR reports of banks listed on the Chinese market, the authors construct CSR measures in six domains: business, environment, human rights, corporate governance, charity and social capital. Our textual-based CSR measures contain substantial and valuable information beyond what Rankins CSR ratings offer.FindingsThe findings suggest that banks with stronger engagements and interests in the business-related CSR domain experience higher profitability, while those that are more committed to the corporate governance and charity-related domains create larger social contributions. Banks tend to incur higher CSR spending when they are more active in corporate governance. Although the stock market reacts positively to CSR expenditures, the reaction is less favorable for banks with CSR expenditures above the industry norm.Practical implicationsThis study offers insights to policymakers of the regulatory bodies and the banks in China. To enhance the financial safety and soundness of the banking system, the regulatory bodies should encourage banks to strategically allocate corporate resources to achieve higher CSR ratings and engage more business-related CSR activities. To create larger social values, bank management should invest more in philanthropic CSR initiatives such as corporate governance and charity activities. To pursue higher corporate profits, they should engage more in self-centered business-related CSR activities. However, according to the reaction of the market, they should not over-invest in CSR activities.Originality/valueWhile the use of textual analysis to evaluate CSR disclosure has recently emerged in the literature, few studies focus on banks in China. Using the term frequency–inverse data frequency (TF-IDF) method, the authors constructed a score for each of the six CSR domains: business (BUS), environment (ENV), human rights (HR), corporate governance (GOV), charity (CHY) and social capital (SCAP). To the best of our knowledge, no studies have adopted the textual approach to evaluate social reporting quality and CSR activities in the context of the banking industry in China.

A growing interest in healthcare, and particularly in the management of social and healthcare services, is currently emerging in both academic and applied fields. More in general, the societal and economical changes of the last decades are increasingly questioning the available models applied in the structuring and administering of public services as well as their effectiveness and efficiency in addressing the needs of the populations. Great importance has been given to new paradigms such as New Public Governance (NPG), collaborative governance and co-production, but there is still a need to clarify the definition and description of the application of these models and to study their outputs and outcomes. This is a book review about the volume entitled Co-production and Japanese Healthcare, by Victor Pestoff, which contains several theoretical and empirical inputs that can foster research and awareness on the evolution of public services and on new governance opportunities, with particular attention to the different actors involved and their potential roles in building innovative responses to the emerging social and health needs of populations around the world. Healthcare systems should not only achieve efficiency and effectiveness. The proposal here is to shift the focus towards more socially oriented approaches that allow to mobilize resources from individuals and communities.

This article’s point of departure is the normative position that nurturing the ethical behaviour of teacher trainees requires something beyond masterly of a professional code of ethics. Although a codified professional code of conduct, as a form of deontological ethics, might be helpful in ushering teacher trainees into the teaching profession by explaining expected norms of behaviour, it is associated with certain critical weaknesses. This article argues for the complementarity of virtue ethics, which emphasises the interrelatedness of agents and commitment to the professional code of conduct and other institutionalised social values. Related teacher education management implications are highlighted.

Social values in Indian society in general and Tamil society in particular are subject to fluctuation, in accordance with on-going social changes ushered in by various modern forces. Consequently, these values metamorphose and degenerate into counter-cultural practices that pose a threat to traditional culture. Modern people attribute new meanings to the unethical practices that they engage in by emphasizing their immediate relevance and necessity for their changing life styles. They believe that their willingness to follow them instead of social values will help them make a profit that sustains their livelihood in this time of change.

Climate change will have a significant impact on coastal locations, affecting visitors’ and residents’ values and experiences. Yet, we know little about the ways visitors value the coast and how they may be affected by climate change impacts. There is a need for place-based studies, where residents and visitors are studied alongside one another to inform more comprehensive and socially-inclusive adaptation strategies. This study sought to understand the lived and landscape values that visitors and residents attribute to the natural reserves and beach of the Llobregat Delta in the densely built-up environment of Barcelona, Spain, as well as their concerns about the impacts of climate change. Results of our survey (n = 133) showed that residents and visitors alike highly valued the natural environment, biodiversity and therapeutic aspects. Residents placed more importance on the biodiversity, safety and sense of identity and pride that the area provides. Visitors were just as likely as residents to be concerned about the effects of climate change on the region. This concern reveals that visitors are key stakeholders with coastal place attachments that need to be integrated into future adaptation research and practice.

Within the growing suite of shared mobility options, peer-to-peer (P2P) carsharing provides an opportunity for vehicle owners to rent out their vehicle to other individuals through informal arrangements or more typically through a facilitating company/broker. Despite the potential to offset some of the costs of vehicle ownership and contribute more broadly to the shared economy, barriers remain including that of sharing one’s own vehicle with a stranger. Driverless vehicles (DVs) provide potential to partially address this barrier to carsharing, but it is unknown if this will be embraced by vehicle owners per se and to what extent this might be influenced by their personal characteristics and values. Within this context, the current paper evaluates the joint attitudes of 751 Australian vehicle owners towards sharing of their current vehicle and embracing DVs. Overall, while most respondents remain concerned about DV technology, they understand the benefits, expressing higher concerns about carsharing. Segmentation procedures are used to profile participants on key dimensions including their willingness-to-purchase a DV, demographics, personality and psychological constructs and contextual factors. Four classes of vehicle owners are identified with 14% being ambivalent to sharing and DVs, 14% highly concerned, 48% being ‘on the fence’ and 24% expressing positive sentiments towards these new forms of mobility. Ambivalence appears to be more pronounced with significantly older, male participants who are less agreeable and conscientious, while concern seems to be a trait of older females more adhering to security, tradition, conformity, and benevolence. Conversely, positive sentiments are associated with participants who are slightly older, male, more open-minded, while less benevolent and traditional. Findings highlight the importance of offering tailored packages of information, messages and services that appeal to the personal benefits and cost savings for some segments of the community, but which highlight the altruistic benefit of sharing for others.
