Магістерська дисертація складається зі вступу, трьох розділів, висновків до кожного з них, загальних висновків, списку використаної літератури, який складається з 69 джерел, включаючи 21 англомовних джерел та додатку. Загальний обсяг роботи 94 сторінки. Виконана магістерська дисертація присвячена мультимодальній репрезентації концепту BEAUTY на матеріалі мультфільмів кіностудії Disney. Концепт BEAUTY є ключовим, що характеризує уявлення носіїв мови про основну ознаку буття, а саме красу, що формується та набуває своєї цінності у процесі емоційно-естетичного освоєння дійсності. В магістерській дисертації досліджено основні підходи до вивчення концепту, лексико-семантичний аналіз мовних одиниць, аналіз оцінного аспекту концепту. В роботі проаналізовано характеристику жіночих персонажів, досліджених на матеріалі мультфільмів. В ході вивчення, було встановлено основні критерії з яких складається краса: людина, предмет, якість, задоволення, естетика, мода, приклад. Аналіз фактичного матеріалу дав змогу визначити особливості вербальної репрезентації досліджуваного концепту. Актуальність роботи полягає у необхідності проведення системного аналізу способів мовного вираження концепту BEAUTY, адже уявлення про красу належить до одного з вагомих орієнтирів людської̈ поведінки. Розкриття цієї тема потребує більше опрацювання. Об’єктом магістерської дисертації є концепт BEAUTY, його репрезентація та аналіз крізь призму героїв мультфільмів кіностудії Disney. Предметом дослідження виступають мовні та мультимодальні засоби, які характеризують концепт BEAUTY. Метою цього дослідження є формулювання характеристик концепту BEAUTY, які є ключовими в англомовних мультфільмах кіностудії Disney. Робота передбачає рішення таких завдань: 4. Визначити місце поняття «концепт» у сучасному науковому дискурсі. 5. Дослідити підходи до вивчення концептів. 6. Опрацювати методології вивчення концепту BEAUTY. 7. Провести семантичний, етимологічний та компонентний аналіз лексем концепту BEAUTY. Дослідити значення лексеми beauty та похідні слова, які вона утворює. 8. Вивчення оцінного складника концепту. 9. Аналізувати образи диснеївських героїнь, їх історичні трансформації. 10. Проаналізувати способи вербалізації концепту BEAUTY на основі мультфільмів Disney. 11. Опрацювати методи та особливості перекладу лексем концепту BEAUTY. Наукова новизна дисертації полягає у досліджені англомовного концепту BEAUTY, на основі мультфільмів кіностудії Disney, проведені змістового аналізу складових концепту та уточненню визначення поняттю краси. Був проведений аналіз феномену краси, його оцінного компоненту на основі героїв мультфільмів: «Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs», «Cinderella», «Beauty and the Beast», «Frozen», «Ice Heart», «The Princess and the Frog», «Tangled Story». Теоретичне значення роботи має на меті дослідити поняття концепту BEAUTY, його лексико-семантичні особливості, аналізувати репрезентацію мовного та мультимодального складника концепту за допомогою мультфільмів Disney та перекладацькі трансформації лексичних одиниць. Практичне значення магістерської дисертації полягає в важливості повноцінного дослідження теми, результати якої можуть бути корисними в лекційних курсах із загального мовознавства, виступати матеріалом для написання майбутніх публікацій та робіт на цю тему. Матеріалом дослідження є набір лексичних одиниць різних частин мови, відібраний методом суцільної вибірки з кінотекстів англомовних мультфільмів кіностудії. Методи дослідження, які були застосовані в роботі: загальнонаукові методи (спостереження, порівняння, узагальнення), евристичний (збір та документації матеріалів дослідження), індуктивний, дедуктивний (формулювання, підтвердження), структурно-функціональний аналіз (поділ об'єкта на складові частини, визначення зв'язків між ними, визначення функцій). Апробація результатів дослідження. Надбання та результати магістерської дисертації були охарактеризовані тезами на ХХІІІ Міжнародній науково- практичній онлайн конференції здобувачів вищої освіти та молодих учених «Science and Technology of the XXI Century». In the master's thesis, the main approaches to the study of the concept, the lexical-semantic analysis of language units, the analysis of the evaluative aspect of the concept were investigated. The work analyzes the characteristics of female characters, researched on the material of cartoons. During the study, the main criteria that make up beauty were established: person, object, quality, satisfaction, aesthetics, fashion, example. The analysis of the actual material made it possible to determine the peculiarities of the verbal representation of the researched concept. The relevance of the work lies in the need to carry out a systematic analysis of the ways of language expression of the BEAUTY concept, because the idea of beauty is one of the important guidelines of human behavior. The disclosure of this topic needs more elaboration. The object of the master's thesis is the concept of BEAUTY, its representation and analysis through the prism of cartoon characters of the Disney film studio. The subject of the study is language and multimodal means that characterize the concept of BEAUTY. The purpose of this study is to formulate the characteristics of the BEAUTY concept, which are key in the English-language cartoons of the Disney film studio. The purpose of the work is to work out these issues: 1. Determine the place of the concept "concept" in modern scientific discourse. 2. Investigate approaches to studying concepts. 3. Develop methodologies for studying the BEAUTY concept. 4. Conduct a semantic, etymological and component analysis of lexemes of the BEAUTY concept. Explore the meaning of the lexeme beauty and the derived words it forms. 5. Study of the evaluation component of the concept. 6. Analyze the images of Disney heroines, their historical transformations. 7. Analyze ways of verbalizing the BEAUTY concept based on Disney cartoons. 8. To work out the methods and peculiarities of the translation of BEAUTY concept lexemes. The scientific novelty of the dissertation consists in the research of the Englishlanguage concept of BEAUTY, based on the cartoons of the Disney film studio, the content analysis of the components of the concept and the clarification of the definition of the concept of beauty. An analysis of the phenomenon of beauty, its evaluation component was carried out based on cartoon characters: "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", "Cinderella", "Beauty and the Beast", "Frozen", "Ice Heart", "The Princess and the Frog" , "Tangled Story." The theoretical significance of the work aims to investigate the concept of BEAUTY, its lexical-semantic features, analyze the representation of the linguistic and multimodal component of the concept using Disney cartoons and translational transformations of lexical units. The practical significance of the master's thesis lies in the importance of a fullfledged study of the topic, the results of which can be useful in lecture courses on general linguistics, act as material for writing future publications and works on this topic. The material of the study is a set of lexical units of different parts of speech, selected by the method of continuous sampling from the film texts of English-language cartoons of the film studio. Research methods that were used in the work: general scientific methods (observation, comparison, generalization), heuristic (collection and documentation of research materials), inductive, deductive (formulation, confirmation), structural and functional analysis (dividing the object into component parts, definition of connections between them, definition of functions). Approbation of research results. The acquisitions and results of the master's thesis were characterized by theses at the XXIII International scientific and practical online conference of higher education graduates and young scientists "Science and Technology of the XXI Century". This research aims to reveal the effectiveness of the use of an indigenous knowledge-based physics comic of Android-based marbles games on verbal representation and critical thinking abilities. It is a quasi-experiment applying the pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consists of two classes: the control and experimental classes, each of which consists of 35 students established using the cluster random sampling technique. The effectiveness of the indigenous knowledge-based physics comic of marbles games was analyzed using the quantitative method applying the effect size analysis. The result of the effect size analysis obtained from Cohen’s f in verbal representation ability is 0.11 interpreted as medium effect size and critical thinking ability is 0.43 interpreted as large effect size. This shows that the developed indigenous knowledge-based physics comic of Android-based marbles games in physics teaching gives effects to verbal representation and critical thinking abilities of the students. In other words, the developed comic is effective in improving verbal representation and critical thinking abilities.

International audience; Major obstacles for students learning formal reasoning are the lack of transparency of the logical structure of formal deductions, their theoretical status, and their verbal representation. For fostering students' learning of formal reasoning, making explicit the logical structures and unpacking their verbal representations is therefore necessary. In the design research project presented, a teaching-learning arrangement of angle theorems was designed in which given if-then-statements were to be connected with formal deductions based on the design principle of structural scaffolding. A case study of a pair of 9 th graders investigated students' pathways towards becoming aware of and using the logical structures and exemplifies the functioning of structural scaffolding.

The functions of the nominations of non-verbal signals are singled out. The types of nominations of non-verbal signals are systematized. The problems connected with identification of the nominations of non-verbal signals in the works of contemporary English fiction and understanding the information encoded in them are suggested.

Концептосфера «моральные ценности» и составляющие ее концепты были определены с помощью словарей и тезаурусов. Выявление языковых репрезентаций концептосферы проводилось на материале русскоязычного научного экологического дискурса с помощью метода семасиологического анализа. В результате проведенного исследования сделаны выводы о структуре концептосферы «моральные ценности» и ее вербализации на лексическом уровне русскоязычного научного экологического дискурса. The article is aimed at the research into the conceptual sphere of “moral values” and its verbal representation in Russian research discourse on ecology. The conceptual sphere of “moral values” and its constituent concepts are defined with the help of dictionaries and thesauri. Linguistic representations of the conceptual sphere in Russian research discourse on ecology are revealed with the help of semasiological analysis. As a result, conclusions are made concerning the structure of the «moral values» conceptual sphere and its verbal representation at the lexical level of Russian research discourse on ecology.

This paper investigates the specifics of values verbalization of the concept Labour in the individual artistic worldview of T. Shevchenko and also in modern Ukrainian collective consciousness. Language indicates that labour in the minds of Ukrainian people is directed to multiply their welfare and to support physical existence (that concerns primarily employment by hire). The main axiological potential of perception is concentrated in the semantic features (pragmatic components) that contains the estimate of person from the standpoint of his attitude to work. The comparative analysis revealed that the main value in the authorial concept Labour is freedom. T. Shevchenko condemns hired labor in feudal society and approves of the value of labour of free and equal people. Summarizing the results of analysis of the perception labour in the collective mind and in artistic space TG Shevchenko, it should be noted that the individual concept has the same conceptual features that are presented in understanding of labor in Ukrainian lingual culture, but has a some other value characteristics. The work of free people, like as in traditional Ukrainian symbols reveals the image of the ancient god Pan-host that has "the ability to rule. "As to Shevchenko, poetry for him is intellectual work not for money and fame, but for the sake of historical truth and justice., В статье исследуются ценностные характеристики концепта ТРУД в коллективном украинском языковом сознании и в индивидуальном авторском сознании Т.Г. Шевченко. Материалом анализа явились лексикографические данные и художественные произведения Т.Г. Шевченко. В результате исследования выявлено, что в шевченковской языковой концептуализации трудовой деятельности присутствует значимый компонент — воля, что подтверждается текстовыми репрезентациями ценностных предпочтений труда вольных, равноправных людей наёмному труду., У статті досліджено ціннісні характеристики вербалізації концепту ПРАЦЯ в колективній українській мовній свідомості та в індивідуальній свідомості Т.Г. Шевченка. Матеріалом роботи слугували лексикографічні дані та художні твори Т.Г. Шевченка. Здійснений порівняльний аналіз виявив, що пріоритетною цінністю в авторській концептуалізації трудової діяльності у Шевченка виступає воля через судження невільної/найманої праці в кріпацькому суспільстві та уславлення трудової діяльності вільних, рівноправних людей.

Розглянуто об’єктивацію концепту ARROGANCE лексико-фразеологічними засобами. Простежено основні особливості лінгвокультурних концептів, на основі яких виділено ознаки концепту ARROGANCE, що дозволяють надати концепту статус лінгвокультурного. Оскільки репрезентація концепту мовним знаком є умовою кваліфікації його як лінгвокультурного концепту, окреслено засоби вербальної репрезентації концепту в англомовній картині світу. На основі проаналізованих лексикографічних джерел досліджено походження та значення основної лексеми, що позначає зарозумілість в англійській мові, виокремлено диференційні семантичні ознаки концепту. На рівні фразеології здійснено вибірку фразеологічних одиниць і сталих виразів, що передають значення ARROGANCE. Фразеологічні одиниці згруповано за семантичними ознаками та компонентамилексемами, що входять до їхнього складу. Проведений аналіз вербалізації концепту ARROGANCE дозволяє встановити характерні ознаки концепту в англомовній картині світу та окреслити перспективи його подальшого вивчення. The article deals with the representation of the concept ARROGANCE by lexical and phraseological means. The main features of linguocultural concepts have been considered. Based on them, the features of concept ARROGANCE have been distinguished, which allow to classify the concept as linguocultural one. As the representation of the concept by language sign is the condition of its linhguocultural qualification, the means of verbal representation of the concept in English picture of the world have been considered. Based on the analyzed lexicographical sources, the origin and meaning of basic lexeme, denoting arrogance in English have been investigated. That helps to distinguish differential semantic features of the concept. At the phraseological level the idioms and set expressions that convey the meaning of ARROGANCE have been chosen. The phraseological units have been grouped by semantic features and according to the lexical units constituting them. The performed analysis of verbalization of the concept ARROGANCE allows to determine the characteristic features of the concept in English picture of the world and outline prospects for further investigation.

En el presente artículo me propuse caracterizar la cognición creativa en una población de niños, niñas y jóvenes en situaciones de retraso escolar y deprivación social. La investigación se fundamenta en los presupuestos teóricos de los enfoques cognitivos, especialmente del modelo Geneplore y el modelo computacional. En la investigación apliqué una prueba de evaluación de la creatividad, a un grupo de 47 niños, niñas y jóvenes entre 9 y 17 años, con una escolaridad entre 1 y 11 grado, seleccionados al azar en diferentes hogares de protección. En la investigación encontré, para este tipo de población, que la cognición creativa se distribuye de manera normal, con una ligera asimetría hacía la izquierda, haciendo plausible la hipótesis central de las teorías cognitivas computacionales que afirman que la creatividad se encuentra distribuida en todos los sujetos humanos, y no en algunos excepcionales, lo que indica indirectamente que la cognición creativa persiste a pesar de las condiciones de vulnerabilidad de los niños, niñas y jóvenes. O presente estudo propone caracterizar a cognição criativa de uma população de crianças y jovens em situação de atraso escolar e privação social. A pesquisa se fundamenta em supostos teóricos de enfoques cognitivos, como o modelo de geneplore y o modelo computacional. Na pesquisa se aplico una prova para a avaliação da criatividade, a um grupo de 47 crianças y jovens entre as idades de 9 y 17 anos e com uma escolaridade entre os graus 1 y 11, selecionados aleatoriamente em diferentes residências de proteção. A pesquisa revelou, uma ligeira assimetria a esquerda, fazendo plausível a hipóteses central das teorias cognitivas computacionais que afirmam que a criatividade se encontra distribuída em todos os sujeitos humanos e não somente em alguns excepcionais, o que indica que a cognição criativa persiste a pesar das condições de vulnerabilidade das crianças y jovens. This actual research has as purpose to characterize the creative cognition over a children and young population in a certain situation which lacks of an educational level according to their due age and also lacks of some social coverage. The research is based on some theoretical arguments focusing on cognition, especially from "the genoplore model" and computable model. On the research a sample model was given to evaluate creativity in a group of children and teenagers between nine and seventeen years old within an educational level between primary and high school. They were randomly selected from several foster homes. We found through this research that this kind of population has some cognitional creativity with a normal distribution and a slightly asymmetry towards the left side, making plausible then central hypothesis of the cognitive and computable theories which assures that creativity is also distributed in all human subjects and not only in some exceptional ones, which indirectly indicates that creative cognition persists and can be found itself distributed without regarding the children and teenagers' vulnerability.

Viena vertus, mūsų akiratin pakliūna meno kūrinių vizualinės reprezentacijos, iliustruojančios „istorijas“: tai fotografiniai-techniniai paminklų ir dailės kūrinių atvaizdai, įsiterpiantys į pasakojimus ar savarankiškai būvantys šalia jų. Video reprezentacijoje meno kūrinys ar paminklas pateikiamas judria, akustiškai artikuliuota trukme. Didžiausias media privalumas — gyvas judėjimo erdve perteikimas, galimybė apimtinus objektus „apeiti“, regėti iš visų pusių. Kamerai padedant ir savaime nejudrūs paminklai patys gali judėti ir „vaizduotis“ pagal tam tikrą režisieriaus-operatoriaus sudaromą žvilgsnio programą. Vizualinė reprezentacija čia lydima akustinės-verbalinės. Kita vertus, meno kūrinių reprezentacijos samprata apima ir žodinius pasakojimus apie išlikusius ir neišlikusius dailės kūrinius, žodines meno kūrinių vizualumo ekspozicijas, randamas ne tik meno, bet ir politinėse istorijose, religinio pobūdžio tekstuose. Tai verbalinės meno kūrinių reprezentacijos, perteikiančios ir apmąstančios juslinio stebėjimo patirtį. Pasakojimo fiksuojama, „atkuriama“ aplinkybė čia jau tampa vizualinės patirties istorija. Ir vienu, ir kitu atveju straipsnyje svarstomas ne tiesioginis, bet tam tikromis priemonėmis atkurtas meno kūrinio regimumas, klausiant ką jis veikia ir kaip veikia istorijoje, ko iš pačios istorijos reikalauja, kokias jos strategijas provokuoja. The article focuses on representation of works of art and their means of functioning in historical culture. On the one hand, what we see are visual representations of works of art, which illustrate “stories”, i.e. photographic-technical representations of monuments and fine arts, which are included into stories or independently existing next to them. In video representation a work of art or a monument is provided in a mobile, acoustically articulated length. The best advantage of media is the conveyance of live movement in space, a possibility to “walk around” embraced objects and see them from every side. With the help of camera static monuments can move and be “represented” according to specific sight programme, which is designed by the director–operator. Visual representation here is accompanied by the acoustic-verbal one. On the other hand, the conception of representation of works of art also includes verbal stories on the extant and lost works of fine arts, verbal expositions of visuality of works of art, which are found not only in stories on art but also on politics, and in religious type of texts. These are verbal representations of works of art, which convey and reflect experience of sensual observance. Factor traced and “re-created” in the story here becomes a story of visual experience. In both cases the article considers not the direct, but by specific means recreated visibility of the work of art by questioning what and how it acts in the story, what it requires from the very story and what strategies thereof it provokes.

Este trabajo se centra en procesos de traducción de problemas gráficos de comparación multiplicativa a representación verbal y simbólica. Pedimos a 89 estudiantes del primer curso de educación secundaria que inventaran un problema que se ajustara a un diagrama y que escribieran una ecuación que integrara las relaciones del diagrama. Los dos procesos de traducción se han mostrado difíciles para los estudiantes, provocando diversidad de respuestas. El análisis conjunto de las respuestas reveló que la competencia de los estudiantes en el proceso de invención no es independiente de la traducción algebraica., This work focuses on translation processes of graphic multiplicative comparison problems to verbal and symbolic representation. We asked 89 students of the first year of secondary school to invent a problem that fits a diagram and to write an equation that integrates the relations of the diagram. The two translation processes have proved difficult for students, resulting diversity of responses.
