Organic photodetectors prepared from meso-ethynyl-extended push–pull porphyrins afford specific detectivities over 1011 Jones in the near-infrared range up to 1000 nm.

[Abstract] The widespread use of nonfullerene-based electron-accepting materials has triggered a rapid increase in the performance of organic photovoltaic devices. However, the number of efficient acceptor compounds available is rather limited, which hinders the discovery of new, high-performing donor:acceptor combinations. Here, we present a new, efficient electron-accepting compound based on a hitherto unexplored family of well-known molecules: gold porphyrins. The electronic properties of our electron-accepting gold porphyrin, named VC10, were studied by UV−Vis spectroscopy and by cyclic voltammetry (CV) , revealing two intense optical absorption bands at 500−600 and 700−920 nm and an optical bandgap of 1.39 eV. Blending VC10 with PTB7-Th, a donor polymer, which gives rise to an absorption band at 550−780 nm complementary to that of VC10, enables the fabrication of organic solar cells (OSCs) featuring a power conversion efficiency of 9.24% and an energy loss of 0.52 eV. Desde el campo de la Didáctica de la Historia, este artículo busca explorar las variables que se entretejen en las prácticas de lectura y escritura en el cotidiano de las aulas de Historia en el nivel medio. Algunos de los interrogantes que guían el trabajo son los siguientes: ¿Cuáles son las prácticas de lectura y escritura que los docentes de Historia propician con la intención de que los alumnos aprendan? ¿Qué sentidos, criterios y percepciones anidan detrás de tales prácticas? Esta investigación articula los aportes de la historia de la lectura y de los estudios socioculturales, que han colocado al accionar de los sujetos como motor de cambio de las culturas escolares, y de la etnografía como enfoque privilegiado que permite acceder a las prácticas cotidianas. Constatamos, de este modo, la existencia de prácticas frecuentes que los docentes de Historia despliegan cotidianamente y cuya esencia es el desarrollo de explicaciones dialogadas. En general, son motorizadas por la realización de interrogantes que buscan estimular la lectura y escritura por parte de los alumnos. Proponer líneas de análisis sobre los sentidos y significaciones que sustentan tales prácticas es uno de los propósitos de esta presentación., This paper tries to explore different aspects that occurin reading and writing history in secondary school. Some of the questions that guide this work are: which are the reading and writing practices that teachers performed in order to reach good aims with their students? Which are the perceptions underneath there practices? This search tries to put on surface the goals of the history of reading and the social sciences in relation with the idea that the motor of change in the scholar system are the teachers and the students. Also our methodological work is based on ethnography because it allows contemplatingthe everyday of the scholar rooms. This kind of work reveals that commonly the teachers tries to read the texts in class. The teachers mix different activities as reading in out loud, discussion themes and writing on the board. These practices stimulate different questions in relation with the history contents of the class. Two D–A–D small molecules with a DPP acceptor core and Zn-porphyrin donor with different electron-donating substituents, namely, 2,6-bis(dodecyloxy)phenyl and 5-hexylthieno[3,2-b]thiophen-2-yl at mesopositions, VC4 and VC5, were synthesized, and their optical and electrochemical properties were investigated. The results reveal that both molecules are suitable as donors for organic solar cells (OSCs) in which PC71BM is employed as the acceptor. Overall power conversion efficiencies of 8.05% (Jsc = 13.83 mA/cm2, Voc = 0.91 V, and FF = 0.64) and 8.89% (Jsc = 16.98 mA/cm2, Voc = 0.79 V, and FF = 0.663) were obtained, respectively. The high Voc value for the VC4-based OSC correlates with the deeper HOMO, whereas the high Jsc value for VC5 may be attributed to the extended absorption spectrum toward the longer wavelength region. A new D–π–A–π–D small molecule (VC7) based on a selenophene-flanked diketopyrrolopyrrole core and two Zn-porphyrin peripheral moieties was designed and synthesized. The optical and electrochemical properties of VC7 were investigated and compared with those of VC6, which has the same chemical structure but with thiophene units in the π-bridge rather than selenophene. VC7 exhibited extended absorption spectra in the near infrared region of the solar spectrum and showed improved hole mobility with a high HOMO energy level. After optimization of the active layers, VC7:PC71BM organic solar cells (OSCs) showed a significantly higher power conversion efficiency of 9.24% (JSC = 15.98 mA cm−2, VOC = 0.89 V and FF = 0.66) in comparison to VC6:PC71BM (PCE of 7.27%, JSC = 14.31 mA cm−2, VOC = 0.82 V and FF = 0.62); this result represents a 27% increase in efficiency. Our results show that the higher JSC value for the VC7-based OSC is due to a combination of the more extended absorption profile, higher hole mobility, more balanced charge transport and high exciton dissociation probability.

Organic solar cells (OSCs) based on solution-processed bulk heterojunction (BHJ) active layers have emerged as promising solutions for the conversion of solar energy into electrical energy in building and indoor applications due to their unique advantages, such as being lightweight and semitrans-parent and the possibility of being processed by low-cost roll-to-roll methods. The BHJ active layer employed for OSCs consists of a blend of an electron-donating material and an electron-accepting material creating internal donor-acceptor heterojunctions, and their optical and electrochemical properties are very important for the realization of a high-power conversion efficiency (PCE). The optical and electrochemical properties of porphyrins can be adjusted by molecular design and functionalization on the b or meso positions of the porphyrin ring as well as by introduction of different central metal ions. Although the pioneering use of porphyrins in OSCs was disappointing, as reported efficiencies were very low;the situation has changed over the last five years as Zn-porphyrins with ABAB structures linked to acceptor units, having relatively long-lived singlet excited states, have been successfully used as donors or acceptors, resulting in increased efficiencies. The effect of central donor core on the properties of A-π-D-π-A donors, where D is a porphyrin macrocycle, cyclopenta[2,1-b:3,4-b']dithiophene is the π bridge, and A is a dicyanorhodanine terminal unit, was investigated for the fabrication of the organic solar cells (OSCs), along [6,6]-phenyl-C71-butyric acid methyl ester (PC71 BM) as electron acceptor. A new molecule consisting of Ni-porphyrin central donor core (VC9) showed deep HOMO energy level and OSCs based on optimized VC9:PC71 BM realized overall power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 10.66 % [short-circuit current density (JSC )=15.48 mA/cm2 , fill factor (FF)=0.65] with high open circuit voltage (VOC ) of 1.06 V and very low energy loss of 0.49 eV, whereas the Zn-porphyrin analogue VC8:PC71 BM showed PCE of 9.69 % with VOC of 0.89 V, JSC of 16.25 mA/cm2 and FF of 0.67. Although the OSCs based on VC8 showed higher JSC in comparison to VC9, originating from the broader absorption profile of VC8 that led to more exciton generation, the higher value of PCE of VC9 is owing to the higher VOC and reduced energy loss.

In the early years, the PCE values of OSCs based on porphyrins were very low, but by structural modifications, we achieve efficiencies in the range of 15%. The synthesis of two symmetrical molecules with A–D–A (1) and D–A–D (2) structures is reported. The compounds have Zn-porphyrin as the donor component and 3,6-di(thiophen-2-yl)pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole-1,4-dione (DT-DPP) as the acceptor unit, linked through ethynyl π-bridges. The effect of scaffold modification on the electrochemical, optical and photovoltaic characteristics has been investigated and favourable properties are found for the D–A–D system compared to the A–D–A. These two Zn-porphyrin-based small molecules are used as donors along with PC71BM as the acceptor for the fabrication of solution processed bulk heterojunction organic solar cells in order to obtain information about the effect of donor and acceptor positions on the photovoltaic response of the devices. A strategy for optimizing the morphology of the active layer using a binary solvent additive has been used. After the optimization of the weight ratios between 1 or 2 and PC71BM and the solvent additives, the devices based on 1 : PC71BM and 2 : PC71BM active layers show remarkable PCE values of 7.04% and 8.03%, respectively. The higher PCE obtained for 2 : PC71BM compared to 1 : PC71BM can be related to the increase in Jsc and FF and attributed to lower energy loss, strong π–π intermolecular stacking and more balanced charge transport.

En las últimas décadas la enseñanza de la historia como campo disciplinar se ha consolidado en la formación inicial de profesores de historia en Argentina y Brasil. En este sentido, la investigación se inscribe en el campo problemático de las relaciones entre producción de conocimiento disciplinar, propuestas de cátedras y miradas de los docentes universitarios formadores. Específicamente, la indagación propone analizar las formas, grados y características que asume el conocimiento disciplinar en las propuestas programáticas y en los puntos de vista de los docentes tomando una muestra de seis carreras de profesorado de historia en ambos países. Desde una perspectiva comparada e histórica se da cuenta de los aspectos centrales de la historia de la enseñanza de la historia en cada país haciendo hincapié en el nivel secundario así como también se elabora un panorama acerca de las líneas de investigación en materia de enseñanza de la historia desde el momento de expansión de su producción en los años 90. Esta revisión bibliográfica implicó no solo un ejercicio de sistematización sino también un análisis acerca de las características de esta producción y su impacto en la formación del profesorado inicial. Se parte del supuesto de que la formación inicial del profesorado de historia es un lugar privilegiado para la circulación del conocimiento actualizado en materia de enseñanza de la historia pero que condensa y debela las dificultades mismas que presenta esta producción para posicionarse en estos espacios. Esta dificultad se explica por diferentes razones como la historia de la formación en enseñanza de la historia, los debates y disputas territoriales entre disciplinas que toman para sí o conviven yuxtapuestas en la formación del profesorado inicial, y el estado todavía temprano de la investigación en didáctica de la historia que se evidencia más notorio en Argentina que en Brasil. En este capítulo nos proponemos indagar, por un lado, cuál es el lugar que los jóvenes de los países que integran la muestra le dan a la enseñanza de la historia de América Latina en relación con las historias nacionales, y por otro, cuál es su disposición al integracionismo regional latinoamericano1 a más de veinte años de conformado el Mercosur. Estos temas se vinculan porque nos interesa preguntarnos de qué manera la enseñanza de la historia en Brasil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay y Chile ha contribuido o no a la formación de una mirada favorable o desfavorable al internacionalismo2 latinoamericano. ¿Esta disposición o rechazo al internacionalismo latinoamericano se vincula con el interés de los jóvenes por la historia de una delimitación geográfica o de otra? ¿Se relaciona con las tradiciones de enseñanza de la historia de sus países o con sus políticas curriculares actuales?, Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación

El proyecto «Los jóvenes y la Historia en el Mercosur» releva en forma representativa datos sobre la enseñanza de la Historia y la cultura política de estudiantes y profesores del nivel secundario mediante la aplicación de encuestas compuestas por unas 40 preguntas que puntan a conocer cómo los estudiantes de 15 a 17 años comprenden el paso del tiempo y construyen su identidad nacional, entre otras cuestiones. El presente trabajo analiza solo los datos referidos a las consignas 1, 2, 3, 4 y 5 del cuestionario para estudiantes, con el fin de: primero, conocer y discutir cuál es la importancia que los jóvenes le atribuyen a la Historia al conocimiento del pasado para su vida en el presente y en el futuro; segundo, distinguir qué formas de presentación del conocimiento histórico son de su agrado y cuáles portan para ellos mayor rigor científico. Y, tercero, observar qué es lo que sucede realmente en sus clases de Historia en cuanto a las estrategias de enseñanza y el uso de materiales curriculares. La perspectiva comparativa nos permite establecer similitudes entre Brasil, Argentina, Uruguay Chile, una de las similitudes más destacadas es la persistencia de las formas de enseñanza de la Historia de tipo tradicional.

Herein we report the synthesis of a novel A-D-A-D-A non-fullerene small-molecule acceptor (NFSMA) bearing a diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) acceptor central core coupled to terminal rhodanine acceptors via a thiophene donor linker (denoted as MPU1) for use in non-fullerene polymer solar cells (PSCs). This NFSMA exhibits a narrow optical band gap (1.48 eV), strong absorption in the 600–800 nm wavelength region of the solar spectrum, and a lowest unoccupied energy level of −3.99 eV. When the mixture of a medium band gap D–A copolymer P (1.75 eV) was used as donor and MPU1 as acceptor, the blend film showed a broad absorption profile from 400 to 850 nm, beneficial for light harvesting efficiency of the resulted polymer solar cell. After optimization of the donor-to-acceptor weight ratios and concentration of solvent additive, the P–MPU1-based PSC exhibited a power conversion efficiency of 7.52% (Jsc= 12.37 mA/cm2, Voc = 0.98 V, and fill factor = 0.62), which is much higher than that for a P3HT–MPU1-based device (...

A single isomer of a pyrazolinofullerene bis-adduct was prepared by tether-directed remote functionalization. Specifically, a macrocyclization reaction between C60 and a bis-hydrazone reagent has been carried out to generate a regioisomerically pure fullerene bis-adduct which presents a lower LUMO than pristine C60.

Porphyrin-based molecules have been explored for a long time as the active materials in dye-sensitized solar cells achieving efficiencies as high as 13%. Nevertheless, until the last few years, this family of molecules has been scarcely explored as donor materials in bulk heterojunction (BHJ) organic solar cells (OSCs). Believing that porphyrin-based molecules should play a more important role in BHJ OSCs we started a few years ago a project in this field using a careful structural optimization. Here I´ll present our last results in this field using porphyrin-based molecules in binary and ternary OSCs, reaching efficiencies close to 10% with low energy loss. References 1. S. Arrechea, A. Two conjugated acceptor–p–donor–p–acceptor (A–p–D–p–A) small molecules with a zinc porphyrin donor core and 3-ethylrhodanine terminal acceptors connected at the meso positions by ethynylene groups and linked by one or two thienylenevinylene units denoted by 1a and 1b were synthesized and their optical and electrochemical properties were investigated. Bulk heterojunction organic solar cells fabricated with 1a : PC71BM and 1b : PC71BM processed with THF exhibited power conversion efficiencies of 2.75% (Jsc ¼ 7.96 mA cm_x0002_2, Voc ¼ 0.96 V and FF ¼ 0.36) and 3.18% (Jsc ¼ 8.84 mA cm_x0002_2, Voc ¼ 0.90 V and FF ¼ 0.40), respectively. Moreover, organic solar cells based on 1a : PC71BM and 1b : PC71BM processed with pyridine/THF solution displayed PCEs of 5.27% (Jsc ¼ 10.61 mA cm_x0002_2, Voc ¼ 0.92 V and FF ¼ 0.54) and 5.78% (Jsc ¼ 11.58 mA cm_x0002_2, Voc ¼ 0.86 V and FF ¼ 0.58), respectively. However, most important is the observation that the PCE was further increased to 7.24% for devices based on 1a : PC71BM and 1b : PC71BM active layers processed with pyridine/THF solution by employing CuSCN as a selective contact electrode instead of the most common hole transport material, namely, PEDOT:PSS.

El presente trabajo aborda de manera tentativa, todavía exploratoria, las prácticas de enseñanza del pasado dictatorial en el segundo ciclo de la Escuela Primaria Básica (EPB) y en la Escuela Secundaria Básica (ESB) desde un enfoque basado en un nuevo campo de estudio, la tematización e investigación de la relación entre Historia y memoria, en un período impreciso como el de nuestra historia reciente desde los aportes de la Crítica Literaria, la Didáctica Especial en Ciencias Sociales, y la Pedagogía Crítica En primer término analizaremos tres prácticas de clase, que tuvieron lugar en escuelas primarias de la Ciudad de La Plata (EPB 127 y EPB 33) y Ensenada (EPB 3), particularmente quinto y sexto grado, tendientes a conmemorar el aniversario del último golpe de Estado. This information is obtained through surveys composed of 40 questions that show how Young people, between 15 and 17 years old, understand time and construct their national identities. This paper analyzes only the features of questions number 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 for students. The object is, first, to try to know and discuss the importance of history and the past for the living present and future for the students. Second, discover what forms of history knowledge presentation the students prefer and which ones seem more scientific to them. Third, to watch what really happened in their History classes in relation to teaching strategies and sources, texts, and didactics materials in general. The comparative perspective helps to establish similarities and differences between Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile. Siguiendo a Jerome Bruner (2003), podemos sostener que nuestro modo de pensar el mundo es narrativo, desde muy temprana edad frecuentamos relatos y también los producimos, estos nos brindan una serie de conocimientos para orientarnos en nuestra sociedad. Asumir esta mirada narrativa, transitada hace décadas pero nunca totalmente instalada en la enseñanza de la Historia, nos permite generar prácticas de aprendizaje significativas que interpelen a los estudiantes además de articular con discursos, literarios, cinematográficos, televisivos, de amplia circulación y potencia. De este modo, el presente artículo tiene como fin, revisitar y dar a conocer mi investigación y propuesta de trabajo para la enseñanza de la historia en el nivel secundario desde un enfoque narrativo., Following Jerome Bruner's words (2003), we can sustain that our way of thinking about the world is narrative. From an early age, we frequent stories and we also produce them. They give us knowledge to guide us in our society. Assuming this narrative perspective, which has been frequent during decades but it has never been completely installed in History Teaching, we are allowed to make significant learning practices which question students, and also to articulate literary, cinematic and television speeches of wide circulation and power. En las siguientes páginas intentaré desarrollar algunos de los lineamientos básicos de mi tesina de licenciatura, dirigida por el Prof. Gonzalo de Amézola y co-dirigida por el Dr. Gustavo Bombini, que intenta abrirse camino en el campo de la didáctica de la historia. Uno de estos lineamientos reside en considerar la gran importancia que asumen las narraciones o ficciones históricas producidas por los propios alumnos a la hora de aprender y enseñar Historia en el aula. De esta forma, desde un enfoque multidisciplinar basado en la etnografía social, la crítica literaria y la Didáctica de la Lengua y la Literatura, llevo adelante una investigación que en sus inicios ya comienza a señalar un modo distinto (no exento de transitoriedad) de abordar la tradicional enseñanza de la Historia, Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación

Solution-processed organic solar cells (OSC) are a topic of current scientific interest as a complementary photovoltaic technology to current silicon solar cells owing to their solution processability, potential low cost of fabrication, light weight and high transparency. Now, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of solution-processed organic solar cells based on a single BHJ active layer using a low-band-gap small molecule has exceeded 10%, which is comparable to those of polymer counterparts. Porphyrins, which are synthetic analogues of natural chlorophylls, are of special interest, because they are known to be a natural choice as light-harvesting antenna systems that are involved in energy and electron transfer processes. In recent years, there has been a great focus of interest on the field of solution-processed BHJ organic solar cells using porphyrin derivatives as donors, which resulted in PCEs up to 9.06 %. [1] Here, we will present the synthesis, optical, electrochemical and photovoltaic properties of new porphyrin A-D-A and D-A-D derivatives used as donor, in BHJ solar cells, with PC71BM as acceptor reaching excellent efficiencies, higher than 8%. Este artículo trata de definir los límites y posibilidades de los nuevos textos digitales en la enseñanza de la historia, especialmente de algunas propuestas didácticas producidas por el gobierno nacional, cuyo contenido versa sobre la guerra de Malvinas. ¿Cuáles son los nuevos significados que este tipo de textos digitales aportan a la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la Guerra de las Malvinas? ¿Qué discursos y narrativas sobre Malvinas se presentan explícitos e implícitos en estos textos digitales? ¿Hay algún cambio entre estas narraciones que emergen en el 30 aniversario de la guerra en comparación con las narrativas anteriores? Son algunas de las preguntas que tratamos de resolver, a pesar de que los textos en formato digital para la enseñanza de la historia, parecen ser muy caóticos y poseen otro régimen de producción, lectura y propiedad, diferente al de los materiales curriculares impresos. Como primera aproximación al análisis podemos observar como las políticas educativas nacionales actuales en Argentina refuerzan el discurso de los derechos y la soberanía sobre las islas, introduciendo además, elementos nuevos que buscan un acercamiento emocional a la causa y desdibujan en parte, la enseñanza de la complejidad de Malvinas This paper tries to define the limits and possibilities of new digital texts in History teaching, especially some texts produced by the national government whose content is Malvinas War. What are the new meanings that this kind of digital texts bring into the teaching and learning of Malvinas War? What discourses and narratives about Malvinas are explicit and implicit in these texts? Are there any changes between these narratives - located in the 30th anniversary of the War - and others? El siguiente trabajo pretende realizar un análisis cualitativo de algunas de las propuestas virtuales en internet para la enseñanza de la historia reciente en las escuelas secundarias de la provincia de Buenos Aires. La implementación del Programa «Conectar Igualdad» en las escuelas argentinas no sólo interpeló a los docentes a modificar sus prácticas de enseñanza, sino que llevó a que los estudiantes revisen sus estrategias de aprendizaje generando un paquete de actividades en la Web y articulando múltiples y variados recursos para la enseñanza que están al alcance de todos. Sin embargo, no todos los materiales que se encuentran disponibles son revisados y pertinentes para utilizarlos en las escuelas, sino que deben ser analizados y adecuados a las características de los contextos de implementación., The present paper tries to discuss some questions about the uses and possibilities of virtual materials in teaching in recent history. The paper revues three discussions about some problems in History of Reading. The first approach recovers the polemic debate around the potential of the clandestine literature as a cause of the erosion of the Ancient Regime before the French Revolution. In second place, we discuss the way in which the anthropological analysis was used for the study of meanings, practices and readings in the eighteen century in France. Finally, this work discusses how reading communities in England in the nineteen century were a motive of struggle between the Estate and the Church

This paper demonstrates the impact of a didactic approach based on the teaching of History from the use of narrative accounts and historical imagination. The research was marked by a multidisciplinary perspective which brought together contributions from literary criticism, the history of reading, studies of narrative, and the sociology of culture. The research focused on school and classes – which are spaces in which students have the access to the written culture and the learning. In relation to methodological issues, the research articulates principles of educational ethnography, participant observation, accounts and interviews. The main source of data was the writings of the students involved in the didactic experiment.Keywords: History teaching. Narrative. Ethnography En este articulo se demuestra el impacto de un enfoque didáctico fundamentado en la enseñanza de historia a partir da utilización de relatos y la imaginación histórica. Esta pesquisa estuvo marcada por una perspectiva multidisciplinar que mescla las contribuciones de la crítica literaria, historia de la literatura, los estudios sobre la narrativa y la sociología de la cultura. La pesquisa se centro en el espacio especifico que es la escuela, la clase, lugar donde la mayoría de los individuos se integran a la cultura escrita, y en la enseñanza de las disciplinas. Dentro de una perspectiva metodológica, fueron articulados ciertos principios de la etnografía escolar y algunas de sus técnicas de levantamiento de datos y de observación participativa, los registros de clase y las entrevistas. Las principales fuentes de datos fueron los propios trabajos escritos por los alumnos que participarán de nuestra experiencia didáctica. Palabras claves: Enseñanza de historia. Narrativa. Etnografía Este artigo demonstra o impacto de um enfoque didático fundamentado no ensino de História a partir do uso de relatos e a imaginação histórica. Esta pesquisa esteve marcada por uma perspectiva multidisciplinar que combinou as contribuições da crítica literária, da história da leitura, os estudos sobre a narrativa e a sociologia da cultura. A pesquisa centrou-se no espaço específico que é a escola, a aula, lugar onde a maioria dos sujeitos insere-se na cultura escrita e na aprendizagem das disciplinas. Numa perspectiva metodológica, foram articulados certos princípios da etnografia escolar e algumas das suas técnicas de levantamento de dados e da observação participante, os registros de classe e as entrevistas.
