The authors reflect on the significance of open access publication to the users of the "PLoS Computational Biology." The authors mention that the technology does not only imply free access to read the journal online, but also enables users to download and read full papers for free. They said that it also allows user to develop killer applications and integrate database and literature content by using the PLoS corpus and RCSB Protein Data Bank.
