Turkish Symposium of Social Sciences is a national scientific event organized by Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University in cooperation with Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and Read and Read Association to bring together professionals and graduate students in the field of Social Sciences, to enable the transfer of experience, to strengthen interdisciplinary communication and studies and to contribute to academic production. The 4th Turkish Symposium of Social Sciences was held online on August 26-31, 2024. In the symposium; papers prepared in the fields of Religion, Philosophy, Education, Psychology, Sociology, and History were presented. This book contains Turkish and English abstracts of the papers presented at the symposium., Türkiye Sosyal Bilimler Sempozyumu, Sosyal Bilimler alanında profesyoneller ile lisansüstü öğrencileri bir araya getirerek tecrübe aktarımına imkân sağlamak, disiplinler arası iletişimi ve çalışmaları güçlendirmek ve akademik üretime katkı sağlamak amacıyla Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt Üniversitesi ile Oku Okut Derneği iş birliğinde düzenlenen ulusal bilimsel bir etkinliktir. 4. Türkiye Sosyal Bilimler Sempozyumu, 26-31 Ağustos 2024 tarihlerinde çevrim içi olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sempozyumda; Din, Felsefe, Eğitim, Psikoloji, Sosyoloji ve Tarih alanlarında hazırlanan bildiriler sunulmuştur. Bu kitap sempozyumda sunulan bildirilerin Türkçe ve İngilizce özetlerini içermektedir.

The Turkish term “lider” is derived from the English word “leader”, which denotes the concept of leading or advancing. This term has been adopted into Turkish with a similar meaning. In Turkish usage, the term "lider" often implies the concept of "önder" (guide), and similarly, "liderlik" is associated with "önderlik" (guidance). The introduction of various adjectives has expanded and diversified the application of the term. For example, terms such as religious leader, political leader, community leader, transformational leader, and charismatic leader illustrate this broad usage. In the context of the “Religion and Leadership Workshop” organized by the Quran Research Foundation (KURAV), the term "lider" should primarily be interpreted as referring to a “religious leader” or a “leader in religion”. However, it is important to recognize that a religious leader may also exhibit social, cultural, charismatic, and transformative attributes, thereby integrating aspects of political, social, or charismatic leadership. The ideal framework for such a leadership, as exemplified by prophets, represents an aspirational model, though real-life leaders may vary in their alignment with this ideal. This dimension of leadership is also explored in our workshop through papers, discussions, and contributions when they touch on the realities and contemporary situations. The Religion and Leadership Workshop features four principal papers, including an inaugural conference, and the final volume of proceedings encompasses a total of five papers. These are Yalçın Akdoğan’s "Religion and Leadership" (Inaugural Conference); Yusuf Şevki Yavuz’s "Leadership in the Quran"; Adem Apak’s "Muhammad (pbuh) and His Leadership"; Bayram Ali Çetinkaya’s "Turkey-Centered Politics in Contemporary Islamic Thought and Leadership Quests", and Mehmet Ali Büyükkara’s "Religious Leadership in Turkey". In addition to these papers, brief discussions contributed by Adnan Demircan, Ahmet Yaman, Bünyamin Erul, Yusuf, Lider kavramı “önde gitmek” anlamında İngilizce’deki “to lead” sözcüğünden leader yani “önde giden, önder” anlamında türemiş olup Türkçe’ye aynı anlamda geçmiş bir kavramdır. Türkçe’de daha çok lider denildiğinde önder; liderlik denildiğinde ise önderlik anlaşılır. Kavramın önüne sıfatlar eklenerek hem kullanım alanı zenginleştirilmiş hem de çeşitlendirilmiştir. Her hâlükârda önde giden veya önder anlamı yerini korumuştur. Sözgelimi dinî lider, siyasî lider, cemaat lideri, dönüşümcü lider, karizmatik lider bu kullanımlardan birkaç tanesidir. Kur’an Araştırmaları Vakfı (KURAV) tarafından düzenlenen “Din ve Liderlik Çalıştayı”nın başlığındaki lider ağırlıklı olarak “dinî lider” veya “dinde lider” çerçevesinde düşünülmüştür. Din ve Liderlik Çalıştayı, açılış konferansıyla birlikte dört bildiriden oluşmuştur. Çalıştay esnasında eksikliğine dikkat çekilen “Kur’an’da Liderlik” bildirisinin eklenmesiyle elinizdeki kitap beş bildiri şeklinde teşekkül etmiştir. Philosophy and Religious Studies, one of the three main departments within the Islamic Sciences and Theology faculties, investigates the phenomenon of religion through the lens of humanities disciplines such as history, sociology, logic, psychology, philosophy, and education. Situated at the intersection of theology and the humanities, the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies plays a significant role in the internationalization of theology education. Concurrently, these disciplines serve as intermediaries in contextualizing Islamic Sciences within contemporary understanding. The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies generates data on contentious contemporary issues such as artificial intelligence, transhumanism, migration, and conflict resolution, thereby elucidating the intellectual background of these issues and providing theoretical insights through empirical research. Within this framework, the study addresses the incorporation of courses offered by the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, presenting them aligned with the project's objectives. The study aims to introduce the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, elucidating its content, functions, and outcomes, to foster critical thinking and analytical skills among students through philosophical education, facilitating a deeper comprehension of diverse aspects of religion, and delineating the disparities and connections between philosophy of religion and religious sciences. Furthermore, the study seeks to enable students to assess the logical and philosophical dimensions of various religions and belief systems, while also contributing to theological education by highlighting the unique fields of study and values inherent in Philosophy and Religious Studies. Ultimately, the study endeavors to facilitate the international integration of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies and its adaptation to contemporary needs within theological education. This study aims to discuss the relationship between design proposals and the communication of specific meanings through objects designed for safety. To this end, a project called DIN is described, where four different models were developed for the fairing of the same equipment, an individual notification device, which fulfills the function of alerting residents in areas at risk of flooding in the event of a dam failure. in two cities in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais, namely Piau and Carmo do Cajurú. The initiative involves the installation of a communication and sensing network for dams for which the device in question was developed. During the process of developing the four proposals, formal elements loaded with different meanings were handled, especially the use of object archetypes, in order to provoke different sensations, all relevant to the communication of the idea of safety in relation to the equipment. Then, prototypes of the device were produced and exposed to the communities served by the initiative, resulting in expressions that were interpreted and analyzed, generating the results presented in this document. The main points refer to the perception of security communicated through characteristics related to the sensation of familiarity produced through forms that refer to the retro aesthetic; as well as the perception of reliable performance through formats assimilated to austerity and imbued with seriousness. These two resources appear, in the research, as the most efficient in the communication of reliability in relation to the equipment and the technological network itself to which it serves as an interface for users. Different ways of handling aesthetic and archetypal resources were also proposed in the communication of meanings in object design, presenting different results for each of the four DIN models., Este estudo objetiva discutir as relações entre propostas de design e a comunicação de sentidos específicos por meio de objetos projetados para a segurança. Para tanto, é descrito um projeto denominado DIN (Dispositivo Individual de Notificações), onde foram desenvolvidos quatro modelos distintos para a carenagem de um mesmo equipamento que cumpre com a função de alertar moradores de zonas de risco de alagamento em caso de rompimento de barragens em duas cidades do interior do estado de Minas Gerais, Piau e Carmo do Cajurú. A iniciativa implica na instalação de uma rede de comunicação e sensoriamento de barragens para a qual o dispositivo em questão foi desenvolvido. Durante o processo de desenvolvimento das quatro propostas, foram manuseados elementos formais carregados de significados diferentes, em especial o uso de arquétipos objetuais, a fim de provocar diferentes sensações, todas pertinentes à comunicação da ideia de segurança em relação ao equipamento. Então, protótipos do dispositivo foram produzidos e expostos às comunidades atendidas pela iniciativa, resultando em expressões que foram interpretadas e analisadas, gerando os resultados apresentados neste documento. Os principais pontos se referem à percepção de segurança comunicada através de características relativas à sensação de familiaridade produzidas por meio de formas que remetem à estética retrô; bem como de percepção de performance confiável através de formatos assimilados à austeridade e imbuídas de seriedade. Esses dois recursos figuram, na pesquisa, como os mais eficientes na comunicação de confiabilidade em relação ao equipamento e à própria rede tecnológica à qual o mesmo serve de interface para os usuários. Foram, ainda, propostos diferentes modos de se manusear recursos estéticos e arquetípicos na comunicação de sentidos em design de objetos, apresentando diferentes resultados para cada um dos quatro modelos DIN., Este estudio tiene como objetivo discutir las relaciones entre las propuestas de diseño y la comunicación de significados específicos a través de objetos diseñados para la seguridad. Para ello, se describe un proyecto denominado DIN (Dispositivo de Notificación Individual), donde se desarrollaron cuatro modelos diferentes para el carenado de un mismo equipo que cumple la función de alertar a los vecinos de zonas con riesgo de inundación en caso de rotura de presas en dos ciudades del interior del estado de Minas Gerais: Piau y Carmo do Cajurú. La iniciativa consiste en la instalación de una red de comunicación y detección de presas para la cual se desarrolló el dispositivo en cuestión. Durante el proceso de desarrollo de las cuatro propuestas, se manejaron elementos formales cargados de diferentes significados, en particular el uso de arquetipos de objetos, con el fin de provocar diferentes sensaciones, todas relevantes para la comunicación de la idea de seguridad en relación con los equipos. Luego, se produjeron prototipos de dispositivos y se expusieron a las comunidades atendidas por la iniciativa, resultando expresiones que fueron interpretadas y analizadas, generando los resultados presentados en este documento. Los puntos principales se refieren a la percepción de seguridad comunicada a través de características relacionadas con la sensación de familiaridad producida a través de formas que remiten a la estética retro; así como la percepción de un desempeño confiable a través de formatos asimilados a la austeridad e imbuidos de seriedad. Estos dos recursos aparecen, en la encuesta, como los más eficientes a la hora de comunicar fiabilidad en relación con los equipos y la propia red tecnológica a la que sirve de interfaz para los usuarios. También se propusieron diferentes formas de manejar los recursos estéticos y arquetípicos en la comunicación de significados en el diseño de objetos, presentando resultados diferentes para cada uno de los cuatro modelos DIN.

The pre-eutrophic state of marine waters is generally not well known, complicating target setting for management measures to combat eutrophication. We present results from an OSPAR ICG-EMO model assessment to simulate the pre-eutrophic state of North-East Atlantic marine waters. Using an ecosystem model ensemble combined with an observation-based weighting method we derive sophisticated estimates for key eutrophication indicators. Eight modelling centres applied the same riverine nutrient loads, atmospheric nutrient deposition rates and boundary conditions to their specific model set-up to ensure comparability. The pre-eutrophic state was defined as a historic scenario of estimated nutrient inputs (riverine, atmospheric) at around the year 1900, before the invention and widespread use of industrial fertilizers. The period 2009-2014 was used by all participants to simulate both the current state of eutrophication and the pre-eutrophic scenario, to ensure that differences are solely due to the changes in nutrient inputs between the scenarios. Mean values were reported for winter dissolved inorganic nutrients and total nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus) and the nitrogen to phosphorus ratio, and for growing season chlorophyll, chlorophyll 90th percentile, near-bed oxygen minimum and net phytoplankton production on the level of the OSPAR assessment areas. Results showed distinctly lower nutrient concentrations and nitrogen to phosphorus ratio’s in coastal areas under pre-eutrophic conditions compared to current conditions (except in the Meuse Plume and Seine Plume areas). Chlorophyll concentrations were estimated to be as much as ~40% lower in some areas, as were dissolved inorganic phosphorus levels. Dissolved inorganic nitrogen levels were found to be up to 60% lower in certain assessment areas. The weighted average approach reduced model disparities, and delivered pre-eutrophic concentrations in each assessment area. Our results open the possibility to establish referen

Sosyal bütünleşmeyi sağlayan toplumlarda din ve siyaset kurumlarının çatışmacı bir karakter sergilemedikleri görülmektedir. Bu toplumlarda sosyal yapı ve kültürel yapı arasında “sosyal mesafe” giderek azalmaktadır. Türkiye’de özellikle cumhuriyet döneminden günümüze kadar “din-siyaset” ilişkisi her zaman bir problem olarak varlığını devam ettirmektedir. Bunun sonucu olarak Türkiye’de sosyal kurumlar arasında sosyal mesafe giderek artmaktadır. Bu problemin çözümü de bu kurumların resmi temsilcisi olacak bireylerin/görevlilerin (ilahiyat ve siyaset eğitimi alanların) tutumlarının/zihniyetlerinin bilinmesi önem arz etmektedir. Örneklem grubu birçok parametreye göre değerlendirilmiştir. Önemli bir gösterge olarak örneklem grubu öğrenim gördükleri dönemde barındığı yere göre değerlendirildiğinde büyük oranda farklılık göstermektedir. İlahiyat Fakültesinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin en yüksek oranda kiralık evlerde ve dini cemaat yurtlarında barındıkları KYK yurtlarını ise sadece %5’ini tercih ettikleri görülmüştür. Özellikle İlahiyat Fakültesi öğrencilerinin kiralık ev olarak nitelendirdikleri evlerinin dini cemaatlerin kontrolünde oldukları söylenilebilir. Nitekim öğrencilerle yapılan görüşmelerde ve öğrencilerin anket formuna yazdıkları açıklamalarda da bu evlerin dini cemaatlerin evleri oldukları, daha ucuz oldukları özellikle kız öğrencilerin velilerinin bu evlerin daha güvenli buldukları için tercih ettikleri anlaşılmaktadır. The pre-eutrophic state of marine waters is generally not well known, complicating target setting for management measures to combat eutrophication. We present results from an OSPAR ICG-EMO model assessment to simulate the pre-eutrophic state of North-East Atlantic marine waters. Using an ecosystem model ensemble combined with an observation-based weighting method we derive sophisticated estimates for key eutrophication indicators. Eight modelling centres applied the same riverine nutrient loads, atmospheric nutrient deposition rates and boundary conditions to their specific model set-up to ensure comparability. The pre-eutrophic state was defined as a historic scenario of estimated nutrient inputs (riverine, atmospheric) at around the year 1900, before the invention and widespread use of industrial fertilizers. The period 2009-2014 was used by all participants to simulate both the current state of eutrophication and the pre-eutrophic scenario, to ensure that differences are solely due to the changes in nutrient inputs between the scenarios. Mean values were reported for winter dissolved inorganic nutrients and total nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus) and the nitrogen to phosphorus ratio, and for growing season chlorophyll, chlorophyll 90th percentile, near-bed oxygen minimum and net phytoplankton production on the level of the OSPAR assessment areas. Results showed distinctly lower nutrient concentrations and nitrogen to phosphorus ratio’s in coastal areas under pre-eutrophic conditions compared to current conditions (except in the Meuse Plume and Seine Plume areas). Chlorophyll concentrations were estimated to be as much as ~40% lower in some areas, as were dissolved inorganic phosphorus levels. Dissolved inorganic nitrogen levels were found to be up to 60% lower in certain assessment areas. Religion and its manifestations are a topical issue in the sociology of religion, and many works have been published on this topic. Our goal in solving this problem is to reveal its sociological role or function in terms of sociological and religious analysis. The article discusses the initial concept, religious events, and potential threats. In this context, it is noted that many factors play an important role in the coexistence of human organs, and the religious bond is one of these factors. Religion is present in all aspects of life, including cultural, political, social, economic, and other aspects. Religion brings its members together to form a religious community. When we say believers, we mean groups who adhere to religious rules. In the latter case, the function of religion on man is controlled. Religion is valued in three ways: as culture, as identity, and as a form of worship. Religion has clearly existed since the beginning of time and continues to exist today, despite significant differences in religious thought and life. These distinctions are the result of necessity; religion, like other events, is open to innovation.

The strongly-pronounced scholastic and conservative nature of theology in the Sassanid Empire manifested itself amid its active military and trade expansion. The population residing on the lands of the Sassanid Empire practiced different religions and represented various cultures, as well as levels of social and economic development. The official religious structures of the empire were forced to accept the presence of the schools of thought studying the legacy of Aristotle and teaching Christianity on their territory. The religious establishment of Zoroastrianism had to reckon with the influence of religion and culture of India, putting up with the study of the Middle Persian translation of the Avesta, the basics of the philosophical teachings of the "Greeks", as well as ancient Indian philosophy and medicine. Zoroastrianism had been the main religion for the ancient tribes of Azerbaijan, Iran and Central Asia since the Achaemenid dynasty. Later, it has become widespread in other regions. Its priests claimed that the existing social order has a divine origin. Zoroastrianism, being the religion of ancient Azerbaijan, played an essential role in the relations between State and religion of the day. It was reflected in the state policy. The teachings of Zoroastrianism at a later stage influenced ancient Greek and European philosophy, as well as consciousness, lifestyle and behavior in the territories where it was widespread as a dualistic philosophical system and moral code. In this book, the issue that if the Big Bang theory supports the idea that creation from nothing is discussed in terms of hudūth evidence (Kalām cosmological argument). In the first part of the study, the history of cosmology and science prior to the Big Bang theory, the basic premise of the theory, and the anti-Big Bang universe models have been studied in detail. Accordingly, the universe began to form approximately 13,7 billion years ago from an endless dense, small and hot (singularity) state that with a sudden burst (opening = expansion). Einstein’s theory of relativity, the continuing expansion of the universe (Hubble’s Law), the discovery of the cosmic background microwave radiation, and determine quantities of substances in space are presented for this theory as the most powerful evidence. In the second part, the mutakallimūn’s (Muslim theologians) hudūth evidence has been examined and described in detail. This evidence not only endeavors to prove the existence of God; but also is a product of mutakallimūn’s efforts to understand and interpret the universe as a whole. The universe which is set forth via hudūth evidence with all parts; including movement, time, and space, is hādith, that is were created from nothing and afterward. Consisting of finite units the universe has a beginning and an end. The universe consists of essence (jawhar) and attribute (a‛rādh) has lived a process of constant change and transformation (formed-disruption). In the last part of the work, the Big Bang theory is compared with the hudūth evidence. Finally, I have reached the following conclusions: Proving that the universe is expanding along with The Big Bang theory has precisely refuted the constant, eternal, and unchanging universe concept of materialist and atheist philosophies. In addition, with the relativity theory has been expired the absolute time concept; besides it has been proven the relativity the time and has been started with the universe. [Abstract] Ulva ohnoi has a big potential in IMTA-RAS fish–seaweed systems. In order to design the best production strategy in these systems, the effect of the main environmental factors, such as pH, nutrient concentration (N, P, and N: P ratios) and dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), on the productivity, bio filtration capacity, and quality of the biomass obtained was studied. It is concluded that in closed systems, strong pH variations (7.9–10.1) do not influence the growth of U. ohnoi and growth is slowed down due to the depletion of DIC. This fact would not be a problem in IMTA-RAS fish–macroalgae systems, due to the physiological activity of the fish contributing CO2 to the medium and replenishing it. The results obtained in the wide range of N: P ratios tested (2–410), allow us to conclude that this ratio should not be a limiting factor for the cultivation of Ulva ohnoi in IMTA-RAS systems. Based on those results, the best strategy to follow in an IMTA-RAS sole–sea lettuce would be to maintain the algae with highest level of nitrogen. This procedure implies a high rate of water renewal, which would also guarantee the maintenance of an adequate DIC and the best commercial quality of seaweed.

This evidence not only endeavors to prove the existence of God; but also is a product of mutakallimūn’s efforts to understand and interpret the universe as a whole. The universe which is set forth via hudūth evidence with all parts; including movement, time, and space, is hādith, that is were created from nothing and afterward. Consisting of finite units the universe has a beginning and an end. The universe consists of essence (jawhar) and attribute (a‛rādh) has lived a process of constant change and transformation (formed-disruption). In the last part of the work, the Big Bang theory is compared with the hudūth evidence. Finally, I have reached the following conclusions: Proving that the universe is expanding along with The Big Bang theory has precisely refuted the constant, eternal, and unchanging universe concept of materialist and atheist philosophies. In addition, with the relativity theory has been expired the absolute time concept; besides it has been proven the relativity the time and has been started with the universe. The study begins with the analysis of the process of globalization, and and demonstrates the effects of globalization on religion that have a variety of implications. First of all, the author argues that world religions are not limited to one nation or region and strive for globalization. Thus, the main messages of world religions are global. Then author claims that the process of globalization has important implications for religion; In the global era, religious pluralism relatively reduces the social importance of religion and accelerates the process of secularization. On the other hand, religion continues to meet the psychological and spiritual needs of people, that is, religion has an individual character and maintains its importance in the modern world. In the end, it is shown that in some cases, religion, acting from a conservative position, plays a barrier to cultural globalization, in other words, Westernization. Thus, religion is the main defender of local cultures, community interests and national identity.

The transformation of the political governance of Islam by Safavids through the religious policy, the unity of military force with religion, the pursuance of divine will through laws, and the priority of the will of Allah in state formation are considered. At the same time, the subjects of research include the essence of the Shi'ite concept of the Azerbaijan state of Safavids, its transformation into an official state ideology, as well as the exercising of secular and supreme religious authorities by the Safavid rulers. Moreover, the article covers such facts as Safavids' declaration of Shia Islam as the state religion in the XVI century, wide spreading of Sufism in Azerbaijan in that period, application of the perfect public administration system by Safavids to govern the Empire, centralization of secular, civil, religious, and military powers by the Safavid rulers, administration of the central and local authorities by the Supreme Consultative Assembly or the Supreme Majlis (Majlisi-Ala) at the Shah's Palace, execution of the judicial power by the Supreme Diwan, and establishment of a regular and a strong army after the reforms of Shah Abbas. The article states that the religious policy pursued by the Safavids had a major impact on the unity of the Turkic-speaking peoples. A number of local and foreign researchers claim that the declaration of Shia Islam as the state religion by Safavids led to a split in the Turkic world. It is emphasized that accepting Shia Islam as the state religion the Safavids originated a conflict with the Ottoman Empire.

This topic is considered one of the current topics in sociology. The process of secularization whıch concerns with modernity has been central interest of classical sociologists. The purpose of this article is to examine the social changes brought about by secularization on the basis of facts, considering time and geographical regions. The article first explains the concepts of modernity, religion and secularization. According to the study, secularization, which is one of the features of modernity, has not led to conclusions occuring in the same direction. Various outcomes have been obtained at various times and in various areas. Sociologists’ views on whether secularization is an ideology or a theory have been observed. According to many who regard religion to be an ideology, intentional change is also a reason for the elimination or weakening of religion. Sociologists have come to different conclusions at different times when studying the role of religion in human life. First of all, they stressed the important role of religion in human life. Later, as a result of secularization, they came to the conclusion that religion would lose its significance or disappear. Today, however, most sociologists are of the opinion that this theory has not proved its worth, that religion has not only lost its essence, but that it still exists in a way that can keep pace with many differences.

When studying the relationship between science and religion, it is essential to analyze the situation in each field of science separately before examining the relationship as a whole. Similarly, this issue needs to be addressed in religions. As a result, each religion has its own characteristics. The study of the relationship between science and religion has a special and deep layer, thus research in this area should always be carried out seriously. Does science contradict religion? Do science and religion belong to different fields? Are science and religion always in discussion and interaction? Are science and religion generally complementary and always integrated? The answers to all these questions are given in full in this article. This article is a translation of first chapter of Ian Barbour's book When Science Meets Religion, in which above mentioned questions are considered. Ian Barbour divides these relationships into four main categories with examples and explains each one separately. These relationships generally reveal the origin, process, and outcome of the problem. Thus, it characterizes and embodies existing theories, and as we hope it opens the way to a new scientific research, and deeply contributes to the formation of new ideas.

Do science and religion belong to different fields? Are science and religion always in discussion and interaction? Are science and religion generally complementary and always integrated? The answers to all these questions are given in full in this article. This article is a translation of first chapter of Ian Barbour's book When Science Meets Religion, in which above mentioned questions are considered. Ian Barbour divides these relationships into four main categories with examples and explains each one separately. These relationships generally reveal the origin, process, and outcome of the problem. Thus, it characterizes and embodies existing theories, and as we hope it opens the way to a new scientific research, and deeply contributes to the formation of new ideas.

Bu məqalədə qloballaşma prosesi və din arasındakı qarşılıqlı əlaqələrin müxtəlif istiqamətləri sosioloji nəzəriyyələr əsasında araşdırılır. Əvvəlcə qloballaşma prosesi təhlil edilir və göstərilir ki, bu prosesin dinə təsirlərinin müxtəlif nəticələri mövcuddur. Müəllif, hər şeydən öncə, belə fikir irəli sürür ki, dünya dinləri bir xalq və ya regionla məhdudlaşmır və qloballaşmağa can atır. Belə ki, dünya dinlərinin çağırışları qlobal xarakter daşıyır. Beləliklə, din lokal mədəniyyətlərin, icma maraqlarının və milli kimliyin əsas müdafiəçisi rolunda çıxış edir., This article examines the process of globalization and the various aspects of the relationship between religions and globalization on the basis of sociological theories. The study begins with the analysis of the process of globalization, and and demonstrates the effects of globalization on religion that have a variety of implications. First of all, the author argues that world religions are not limited to one nation or region and strive for globalization. Thus, the main messages of world religions are global. Then author claims that the process of globalization has important implications for religion; In the global era, religious pluralism relatively reduces the social importance of religion and accelerates the process of secularization. On the other hand, religion continues to meet the psychological and spiritual needs of people, that is, religion has an individual character and maintains its importance in the modern world. In the end, it is shown that in some cases, religion, acting from a conservative position, plays a barrier to cultural globalization, in other words, Westernization. Thus, religion is the main defender of local cultures, community interests and national identity.

The transformation of the political governance of Islam by Safavids through the religious policy, the unity of military force with religion, the pursuance of divine will through laws, and the priority of the will of Allah in state formation are considered. At the same time, the subjects of research include the essence of the Shi'ite concept of the Azerbaijan state of Safavids, its transformation into an official state ideology, as well as the exercising of secular and supreme religious authorities by the Safavid rulers. Moreover, the article covers such facts as Safavids' declaration of Shia Islam as the state religion in the XVI century, wide spreading of Sufism in Azerbaijan in that period, application of the perfect public administration system by Safavids to govern the Empire, centralization of secular, civil, religious, and military powers by the Safavid rulers, administration of the central and local authorities by the Supreme Consultative Assembly or the Supreme Majlis (Majlisi-Ala) at the Shah's Palace, execution of the judicial power by the Supreme Diwan, and establishment of a regular and a strong army after the reforms of Shah Abbas. The article states that the religious policy pursued by the Safavids had a major impact on the unity of the Turkic-speaking peoples. A number of local and foreign researchers claim that the declaration of Shia Islam as the state religion by Safavids led to a split in the Turkic world. It is emphasized that accepting Shia Islam as the state religion the Safavids originated a conflict with the Ottoman Empire.

This topic is considered one of the current topics in sociology. The process of secularization whıch concerns with modernity has been central interest of classical sociologists. The purpose of this article is to examine the social changes brought about by secularization on the basis of facts, considering time and geographical regions. The article first explains the concepts of modernity, religion and secularization. According to the study, secularization, which is one of the features of modernity, has not led to conclusions occuring in the same direction. Various outcomes have been obtained at various times and in various areas. Sociologists’ views on whether secularization is an ideology or a theory have been observed. According to many who regard religion to be an ideology, intentional change is also a reason for the elimination or weakening of religion. Sociologists have come to different conclusions at different times when studying the role of religion in human life. First of all, they stressed the important role of religion in human life. Later, as a result of secularization, they came to the conclusion that religion would lose its significance or disappear. Today, however, most sociologists are of the opinion that this theory has not proved its worth, that religion has not only lost its essence, but that it still exists in a way that can keep pace with many differences.

This book discusses the theological views of Abū Isḥāq al-Ṣaffār d. 534/1139), within the framework of his comments on the meanings of Al-lah’s names, provided in his work titled Talkhīṣ al-adilla. Abū Isḥāq al-Ṣaffār is one of the Ḥanafite-Māturīdite scholars in the 6th/12th century. In his work titled Talkhīṣ al-adilla li-qawāʿid al-tawḥīd on kalām, he spared extensive space for al-asmāʾ al-husnā. Approximately one-third of this work, published in two volumes, is devoted to al-asmāʾ al-husnā. An examination of the related section reveals that al-Ṣaffār explains many issues, particularly those related to the existence, unity, and attributes of Allah, based on 175 al-asmāʾ al-husnā. He mentions some of the names that he does not include in the al-asmāʾ al-husnā section under separate headings. For example, the name al-Mutakallim is addressed within the context of the attribute of kalām and in relation to subjects, such as the khalq al-Qurʾān and i‘jaz al-Qurʾān. Upon the addition of these names to the list, the number names reaches 178. This means that half of the work deals with the subject of al-asmāʾ al-husnā. In the second part of the study, the Qasam tradition in the Arabic language and culture in the pre-Islamic period was examined. Among the subjects of the oath in ignorance are Allah, the Kaaba, idols, time, and many natural beings. In the pre-Islamic period, poets, wizards, oracles, along with expressions of vows to obtain material benefits, said mysterious words that made people believe and turn to themselves. In particular, oracles left their oaths in mystery because they expressed what was sworn with them according to their beliefs and cultures but did not say the answer. al-Ṣaffār lists the divine names in alphabetical order and explains them semantically in the chapter of al-asmāʾ al-husnā. Then he goes on to clarify each divine name through a theological lens with a specific reference to the subject of kalām. In the pre-Saffar Ḥanafite-Māturīdite t, Bu kitapta, Ebû İshâk es-Saffâr’ın (öl. 534/1139) kelâmî görüşleri, Telḫîṣü’l-edille li-ḳavâʿidi’t-tevḥîd adlı eserinde Allah’ın isimlerinin anlamlarını açıklarken yaptığı yorumlar çerçevesinde ele alınmaktadır. In the introduction of the four-part study, the subject was examined in terms of scope and method. The first chapter focused on the sameness and difference of concepts such as qasam, oath and hilf within the conceptual framework. In the linguistic framework, the letters used for Qasam are explained; the oath with him (muqsamūn bih) and the answer to the oath (muqsamūn alayh). Again, in the first chapter “zahir” and “muzmar” were explained from the types of vows. In the second part of the study, the Qasam tradition in Arabic language and culture in the pre-Islamic period was examined. Because vows are only completed and understood by their answers. An unanswered oath turns into an action that is unclear why it was sworn. In this study, in particular, the subject of what qasams mean in the integrity of the Qur’ān is discussed in the context of the Surah. In the introduction of the four-part study, the subject was examined in terms of scope and method. The first chapter focused on the sameness and difference of concepts such as qasam, oath and hilf within the conceptual framework. In the linguistic framework, the letters used for Qasam are explained; the oath with him (muqsamūn bih) and the answer to the oath (muqsamūn alayh).
