Exploring the nonlinear mechanical behaviors of structures under external excitation is significant. This article, for the first time, attempts to demonstrate the transient response of imperfect magneto-electro-elastic (MEE) cylindrical shells under pulse load in thermal environment by time history curves and phase trajectories. Using Love's thin shell theory and Maxwell's equations, expressions for displacement-, electric-, and magnetic- fields are obtained. Combining Hamiltonian principle and Galerkin method, the nonlinear dynamic equations of cylindrical shells are derived, and Runge-Kutta method is employed to solve the whole problem. Subsequently, the transient responses under various parameters including BaTiO 3 vol fraction, geometric imperfection, electrical potential, magnetic potential, prestress, viscoelastic foundation, positive phase duration, damping coefficient, maximum blast load, geometrical parameter, temperature variation and various pulse loads are presented in numerical analysis in the forms of time history curves and phase trajectories. Finally, the conclusion advocates that the BaTiO 3 vol fraction, geometric imperfection and dimensions of cylindrical shells have significant impacts on the transient response. Unmanned aerial vehicle–light detection and ranging (UAV-LiDAR) provides a convenient and economical means of forest data acquisition that can penetrate canopy gaps to obtain abundant ground information, offering huge potential in forest inventory. Individual tree segmentation is a prerequisite to obtain individual tree details but is highly dependent on the accuracy of seed point detection. However, most of the existing methods, such as the local maximum (LM) and CHM-based methods, are strongly dependent on the window size, and, for individual tree segmentation, they can result in over-segmentation and under-segmentation, especially in natural forests. In this paper, we propose an adaptive crown shaped algorithm for individual tree segmentation without consideration of the window size. It was implemented in four plots with different forest types and topographies (i.e., planted coniferous forest with flat terrain, coniferous forest with sloping terrain, mixed forest with flat terrain and broadleaf forest with flat terrain). First, the normalized point clouds were rotated and blocked at multiple angles to extract the surface points of the forest. Then, the crown boundaries were delineated by analyzing the crown profiles to extract the treetops as seed points. Finally, a region growing method based on seed points was applied for individual tree segmentation. Our results showed that the recall, precision and F1-score of seed point detection reached 91.6%, 95.9% and 0.94, respectively, and that the accuracy rates for individual tree segmentation for the four plots were 87.7%, 80.6%, 73.2% and 70.5%, respectively. Our proposed method can effectively detect seed points via the adaptive crown shaped algorithm and reduce the impacts of elongated branches by applying distance thresholds between trees, enhancing the accuracy of seed point detection and subsequently improving the precision of individual tree segmentation. In addition, the proposed algorithm demonstrated superior performance in comparison to LM and CHM-based methods for the calculation of seed points, as well as outperforming PCS in individual tree segmentation. The proposed method demonstrates effectiveness and feasibility in dense forests and natural forests, providing an important reference for future research on seed point detection and individual tree segmentation. In recent years, China's advanced light sources have entered a period of rapid construction and development. As modern X-ray detectors and data acquisition technologies advance, these facilities are expected to generate massive volumes of data annually, presenting significant challenges in data management and utilization. These challenges encompass data storage, metadata handling, data transfer and user data access. In response, the Data Organization Management Access Software (DOMAS) has been designed as a framework to address these issues. DOMAS encapsulates four fundamental modules of data management software, including metadata catalogue, metadata acquisition, data transfer and data service. For light source facilities, building a data management system only requires parameter configuration and minimal code development within DOMAS. This paper firstly discusses the development of advanced light sources in China and the associated demands and challenges in data management, prompting a reconsideration of data management software framework design. It then outlines the architecture of the framework, detailing its components and functions. Lastly, it highlights the application progress and effectiveness of DOMAS when deployed for the High Energy Photon Source (HEPS) and Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility (BSRF). Objective To explore the causal relationship between the characteristics of glycemic traits (fasting blood glucose, fasting insulin, glycosylated hemoglobin, and insulin resistance) and benign colorectal neoplasm (colorectal adenomas, benign rectal neoplasm, and benign colon neoplasm). Methods The instrumental variables of blood glucose characteristics were extracted from MAGIC and GLGCL alliance, and the genome-wide data of colorectal benign tumors came from Finn-Gen alliance. In this study, random effect inverse-variance weighted method (IVW), MR-Egger regression, and weighted median method (WMM) were used to analyze the causal relationship between four glycemic traits and benign colorectal neoplasm. Results The results of IVW model showed that there was no causal relationship between fasting blood glucose (OA =0.999, 95%CI: 0.997-1.001), fasting insulin (OA=1.002, 95_CI: 0.998-1.006), glycosylated hemoglobin (CI=1.001, 95%CI: 0.999-1.004), insulin resistance (OA=0.999, 95%CI: 0.997-1.002), and colorectal adenoma. There was no causal relationship between fasting blood glucose (OA =0.909, 95%CI: 0.684-1.209), fasting insulin (OA=1.220, 95%CI: 0.706-2.107), glycosylated hemoglobin (0A=0.678, 95_CI: 0.440-1.046), insulin resistance (OA=1.161, 95 CI: 0.810-1.663) and rectal benign tumor. There was no causal relationship between fasting blood glucose (OA =0.966, 95%CI: 0.836-1.116), fasting insulin (OA=1.318, 95%CI: 0.906-1.916), glycosylated hemoglobin (OA=1.124, 95%CI: 0.882-1.431), insulin resistance (OA=1.071, 95%CI: 0.875-1.311) and benign tumors of colon. Conclusion There is no evidence of causal relationships of fasting blood glucose, fasting insulin, glycosy- lated hemoglobin, and insulin resistance with colorectal adenomas, benign rectal neoplasm, and benign colon neoplasm. Objective: Stroke causes serious physical disability with impaired quality of life (QoL) and heavy burden on health. The goal of this study is to explore the impaired QoL typologies and their predicting factors in physically disabled stroke survivors with machine learning approach. Methods: Non‐negative matrix factorization (NMF) was applied to clustering 308 physically disabled stroke survivors in rural China based on their responses on the short form 36 (SF‐36) assessment of quality of life. Principal component analysis (PCA) was conducted to differentiate the subtypes, and the Boruta algorithm was used to identify the variables relevant to the categorization of two subtypes. A gradient boosting machine(GBM) and local interpretable model‐agnostic explanation (LIME) algorithms were used to apply to interpret the variables that drove subtype predictions. Results: Two distinct subtypes emerged, characterized by short form 36 (SF‐36) domains. The feature difference between worsen QoL subtype and better QoL subtype was as follows: role‐emotion (RE), body pain (BP) and general health (GH), but not physical function (PF); the most relevant predictors of worsen QoL subtypes were help from others, followed by opportunities for community activity and rehabilitation needs, rather than disability severity or duration since stroke. Interpretation: The results suggest that the rehabilitation programs should be tailored toward their QoL clustering feature; body pain and emotional‐behavioral problems are more crucial than motor deficit; stroke survivors with worsen QoL subtype are most in need of social support, return to community, and rehabilitation. Magneto-electro-elastic (MEE) materials are widely used in the aviation and spaceflight area, attributed to magneto-electric coupling effect of MEE materials which can achieve mutual energy conversion in complex physical fields. This article takes the imperfect MEE plate as the research object to explore the nonlinear low-velocity behaviors, and the influence of multiple physical fields such as electric, magnetic and temperature fields are taken into account. Based on Maxwell's equations and first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT), the constitutive equation of MEE plate is obtained, and the nonlinear motion equations are derived using the Euler-Lagrange principle. Subsequently, with the aid of the Galerkin method, the ordinary differential equations are obtained by discretizing the partial differential equations. Then the low-velocity impact problem is solved using the Runge-Kutta method. Finally, the impacts of unknown factors upon the dynamic behaviors of the MEE plate are illustrated particularly. Phototherapy, including photodynamic therapy (PDT) and photothermal therapy (PTT), has great promise in the treatment of cancer. However, there are many obstacles that can restrict the therapeutic efficacy of phototherapy. The hypoxic tumor microenvironment can restrict the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in PDT. As for PTT, the thermotolerance of cancer cells may lead to ineffective PTT. In this study, IR780 and glycolysis inhibitor lonidamine (LND)-encapsulated liposomes are prepared for photodynamic and photothermal therapy of hepatocellular carcinoma. IR780 can be used as a photosensitizer and photothermal agent for simultaneous PDT and PTT after being irradiated with 808 nm laser. LND can reduce the oxygen consumption of cancer cells by inhibiting glycolysis, which will relieve tumor hypoxia and produce more ROS for PDT. On the other hand, energy supply can be blocked by LND-induced glycolysis inhibition, which will inhibit the production of heat shock proteins (HSPs), reduce the thermotolerance of tumor cells, and finally enhance the therapeutic efficacy of PTT. The enhanced PTT is studied by measuring intracellular HSPs, ATP level, and mitochondrial membrane potential. The antitumor effect of IR780 and LND co-loaded liposomes is extensively investigated by in vitro and in vivo experiments. This research provides an innovative strategy to simultaneously enhance the therapeutic efficacy of PDT and PTT by inhibiting glycolysis, which is promising for future creative approaches to cancer phototherapy. Background: Delirium occurs frequently in critically ill children and has been reported in many countries, but delirium is not well-characterized in China. The aim of this study was to represent the incidence of delirium in critically ill children in China, its associated factors, and the influence of delirium on in-hospital outcomes. Methods: This observational prospective cohort study was set up in a large academic medical center with a 57-bed PICU in southwestern China. Critically ill children who required PICU stays over 24 h and were admitted between November 2019 and February 2022 were included in this study. The Cornell Assessment of Pediatric Delirium was used twice daily for delirium evaluation by bedside nurses, and twenty-four clinical features were collected from medical and nursing records during hospitalization. Results: The incidence of delirium was 26.0% (n = 410/1576). Multivariate analysis revealed that seven independent risk factors including days of mechanical ventilation and physical restraints, admission diagnosis (neurologic disorder), sleep deprivation, use of benzodiazepines and dexmedetomidine, liver failure/liver dysfunction associated with delirium in critically ill children. One potentially protective factor was the watching television /listening to music/playing with toys. Children with delirium had longer lengths of stay in the PICU (median 11 vs. 10 days, p < 0.001) and hospital (median 18 vs. 15 days, p < 0.001) compared to those without delirium. Additionally, the in-hospital mortality rates were 4.63% and 0.77% in patients with and without delirium (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Delirium is common in critically ill children in China and related to poor outcomes. Objective: To translate the Academic Goals Orientation Questionnaire (AGOQ) into Chinese and to determine the validity and reliability of the (AGOQ) in Chinese nursing students based on SEM and IRT multidimensional models. Methods: The participants were 654 nursing students with an age range of 17–26 years (mean age 21.61 ± 1.73 years). The psychometric properties of AGOQ were investigated based on a dual analytical perspective of structural equation modeling (SEM) and item response theory (IRT). Results: The Cronbach's α value of the questionnaire is 0.895. A four-factor model was obtained by exploratory factor analysis, which explained the variance of 71.892%. With confirmatory factor analysis, a new four-factors model was built and showed an acceptable goodness-of-fit, chi-square/degree of freedom (CMIN/DF) = 4.008, goodness of fit index (GFI) = 0.932, adjusted goodness of fit index (AGFI) = 0.905, comparative fit index (CFI) = 0.952, incremental fit index (IFI) = 0.952, Tucker Lewis index (TLI) = 0.941. In the analysis part of IRT, according to the comparison between Akek's information criterion (AIC) and Bayesian information criterion (BIC), we choose the Graded Response Model (GRM) for analysis. The results show that the difficulty value is monotonically increasing, and the discrimination of all items is greater than 0.19, which shows that 16 items can be retained. Conclusions: This study tested the psychometric characteristics of AGOQ of nursing students in China. The results confirmed that the Chinese version of AGOQ has good psychometric characteristics and can be used to measure the academic goal orientation of nursing students in China. This paper analyzes five optimization algorithms for solving microgrid energy management problems. Network reconfiguration has become prevalent due to increased power demand in modern society. Microgrid energy management system has become a part of essential strategies to mitigate the total generation cost and electricity payment in the advanced smart electrical network. This study compared the performance of the optimization algorithm with total generation cost minimization and the total number of demand response programs while selecting the best approach as a suggestion. The effectiveness of the applied method is evaluated with fitness value, convergence rates, and robustness. Numerical simulation results are presented in paper, the five different methods are evaluated based on their performance and the resulting demand response program from the viewpoint of system cost-minimizing. With the continuous advancement of lightweight vehicle body technology, clinching has become the focus of lightweight sheet connection technology recently owing to its high efficiency and superior joint properties. This study focused on the clinching progress of common metals used in car bodies. The changes in the joining mechanical properties due to the heat treatment before and after the formation are described herein. Several new clinching methods and joint repairs have been proposed. An overview on clinching, in terms of fretting wear and fatigue properties, is also presented. In addition, current research on fretting fatigue wear and crack extension damage mechanisms is presented. Background: Major depressive disorder (MDD) poses a significant social and economic burden worldwide. Identifying exposures, risk factors, and biological mechanisms that are causally connected to MDD can help build a scientific basis for disease prevention and development of novel therapeutic approaches. Methods: In this systematic review, we assessed the evidence for causal relationships between putative causal risk factors and MDD from Mendelian randomization (MR) studies, following PRISMA. We assessed methodological quality based on key elements of the MR design: use of a full instrumental variable analysis and validation of the three key MR assumptions. Results: We included methodological details and results from 52 articles. A causal link between lifestyle, metabolic, inflammatory biomarkers, particular pathological states and MDD is supported by MR investigations, although results for each category varied substantially. Conclusions: While this review shows how MR can offer useful information for examining prospective treatment targets and better understanding the pathophysiology of MDD, some methodological flaws in the existing literature limit reliability of results and probably underlie their heterogeneity. There are no theorems (proven theories) in the biological sciences. We propose that the 3 31 nt minihelix tRNA evolution theorem be universally accepted as one. The 3 31 nt minihelix theorem completely describes the evolution of type I and type II tRNAs from ordered precursors (RNA repeats and inverted repeats). Despite the diversification of tRNAome sequences, statistical tests overwhelmingly support the theorem. Furthermore, the theorem relates the dominant pathway for the origin of life on Earth, specifically, how tRNAomes and the genetic code may have coevolved. Alternate models for tRNA evolution (i.e., 2 minihelix, convergent and accretion models) are falsified. In the context of the pre-life world, tRNA was a molecule that, via mutation, could modify anticodon sequences and teach itself to code. Based on the tRNA sequence, we relate the clearest history to date of the chemical evolution of life. From analysis of tRNA evolution, ribozyme-mediated RNA ligation was a primary driving force in the evolution of complexity during the pre-life-to-life transition. The volume and composition of a thin layer of liquid covering the airway surface defend the lung from inhaled pathogens and debris. Airway epithelia secrete Cl- into the airway surface liquid through cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) channels, thereby increasing the volume of airway surface liquid. The discovery that pulmonary ionocytes contain high levels of CFTR led us to predict that ionocytes drive secretion. However, we found the opposite. Elevating ionocyte abundance increased liquid absorption, whereas reducing ionocyte abundance increased secretion. In contrast to other airway epithelial cells, ionocytes contained barttin/Cl- channels in their basolateral membrane. Disrupting barttin/Cl-channel function impaired liquid absorption, and overexpressing barttin/Cl- channels increased absorption. Together, apical CFTR and basolateral barttin/Cl- channels provide an electrically conductive pathway for Cl- flow through ionocytes, and the transepithelial voltage generated by apical Na+ channels drives absorption. These findings indicate that ionocytes mediate liquid absorption, and secretory cells mediate liquid secretion. Segregating these counteracting activities to distinct cell types enables epithelia to precisely control the airway surface. Moreover, the divergent role of CFTR in ionocytes and secretory cells suggests that cystic fibrosis disrupts both liquid secretion and absorption. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Depression and anxiety have a significant impact on an individuals' work and personal life alike. The mental health of researchers is a significant concern worldwide. This study investigated the mental health status of Chinese researchers specifically and explored the moderating effects of perceived stress on the influence of low self-accomplishment on anxiety and depression.Methods: The online survey platform "Survey Star" was used to create a questionnaire to be distributed to researchers, with 949 questionnaires retrieved. The general information questionnaire, 10-item Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10), Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7), Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), and Maslach Burnout Inventory General Survey (MBI-GS) were used for this investigation. Pearson's correlation analysis was performed to investigate correlations among the relevant variables. Model 8 of PROCESS 3.3 program was used to analyze the moderating effects of perceived stress.Results: Among the 949 participants, 570 (60.1%) reported symptoms of depression and 431 (45.4%) had symptoms of anxiety, with about one in six reporting symptoms of self-harm or suicidal ideation. Perceived stress was found to moderate the effect of low self-accomplishment on depression and anxiety.Conclusion: Here we show that researchers exhibit a high rate of depression and anxiety symptoms. Perceived stress is also shown to play a moderating role on the influence of low self-accomplishment on anxiety and depression. Lanthanide-doped upconversion (UC) nanoparticles (NPs) have attracted great attention in many emerging applications. Although multilayer structures have been employed to strengthen UC intensity, balancing the energy transfer (ET) efficiency from sensitizer to activator as well as the back energy transfer (BET) efficiency remains a critical issue. Herein, the ET processes in the BaYF 5 -based core/shell/shell NPs are comprehensively manipulated, resulting in greatly enhanced UC intensity. By using the sub20 nm BaYF 5 :2Yb2Er@BaYbF 5 @BaYF 5 nanostructure, the efficiencies of incident light absorption and ET from the sensitizer in the interlayer to the activator in the core are improved, while the BET is limited. The UC intensity of this nanostructure was approximately 3.7 times that of normal BaYF 5 :20Yb2Er@BaYF 5 NPs. The isolation of Yb and Er can remarkably restrict the negative thermal quenching (NTQ) effect, resulting in improved temperature sensing performance. Moreover, the BaYF 5 :2Yb2Er@BaYbF 5 @BaYF 5 NPs can be used for selective sensing of rhodamine B. Background: Limited research has been conducted on the potential relationship between the dietary inflammation index (DII) and mortality, particularly in individuals with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection. This study aimed to investigate the association between the DII and H. pylori infection, as well as their respective impacts on all-cause mortality in a cohort of individuals with or without H. pylori infection. Methods: Data from the 1999–2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were utilized for this study, with a final of 4370 participants included. Both univariable and multivariable-adjusted logistic regression analyses were employed to explore the relationship between H. pylori infection and pertinent covariates. Cox regression analysis, as well as restricted regression cubic spline analysis, were utilized to assess the association between DII and all-cause mortality among individuals with or without H. pylori infection. Results: The findings demonstrated a positive correlation between DII scores and H. pylori infection, even after adjusting for potential confounding factors. Moreover, higher DII scores were significantly associated with an elevated risk of mortality exclusively in individuals with H. pylori infection, while no such association was observed in the uninfected population. Additional analysis using restricted cubic spline modeling revealed a positive linear relationship between DII scores as a continuous variable and the adjusted risk of all-cause mortality specifically in H. pylori-infected patients. Conclusion: The results of this study indicated that DII was positively correlated with an increased risk of H. pylori infection and was associated with a heightened risk of all-cause mortality solely in individuals with H. pylori infection. Consequently, DII might serve as a useful tool for risk stratification in the H. pylori-infected population among U.S. adults. Poly(A)-binding protein nuclear 1 (PABPN1) is an RNA- binding protein localized in nuclear speckles, while its alanine (Ala)-expanded variants accumulate as intranuclear aggregates in oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy. The factors that drive PABPN1 aggregation and its cellular consequences remain largely unknown. Here, we investigated the roles of Ala stretch and poly(A) RNA in the phase transition of PABPN1 using biochem- ical and molecular cell biology methods. We have revealed that the Ala stretch controls its mobility in nuclear speckles, and Ala expansion leads to aggregation from the dynamic speckles. Poly(A) nucleotide is essential to the early-stage condensation that thereby facilitates speckle formation and transition to solid- like aggregates. Moreover, the PABPN1 aggregates can sequester CFIm25, a component of the pre-mRNA 30-UTR processing complex, in an mRNA-dependent manner and consequently impair the function of CFIm25 in alternative polyadenylation. Laccases are widely used in industrial production due to their broad substrate availability and environmentally friendly nature. However, the pursuit of laccases with superior stability and increased heterogeneous expression to meet industry demands appears to be an ongoing challenge. To address this challenge, we resurrected five ancestral sequences of laccase BsCotA and their homologues. All five variants were successfully expressed in soluble and functional forms with improved expression levels in Escherichia coli. Among the five variants, three exhibited higher catalytic rates, thermal stabilities, and acidic stabilities. Notably, AncCotA2, the best-performing variant, displayed a kcat/KM of 7.5 × 105 M−1·s−1, 5.2-fold higher than that of the wild-type BsCotA, an improved thermo- and acidic stability, and better dye decolorization ability. Background: The current nodal (pN) classification still has limitations in stratifying the prognosis of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients with pathological classifications T1-2N0-2M0. Thus. This study aimed to develop and validate a modified nodal classification based on a multicenter cohort. Materials and methods: We collected 1156 SCLC patients with pathological classifications T1-2N0-2M0 from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database and a multicenter database in China. The X-tile software was conducted to determine the optimal cutoff points of the number of examined lymph nodes (ELNs) and lymph node ratio (LNR). The Kaplan-Meier method, the Log-rank test, and the Cox regression method were used in this study. We classified patients into three pathological N modification categories, new pN#1 (pN0-#ELNs > 3), new pN#2 (pN0-#ELNs ≤ 3 or pN1-2-#LNR ≤ 0.14), and new pN#3 (N1-2-#LNR > 0.14). The Akaike information criterion (AIC), Bayesian Information Criterion, and Concordance index (C-index) were used to compare the prognostic, predictive ability between the current pN classification and the new pN component. Results: The new pN classification had a satisfactory effect on survival curves (Log-rank P < 0.001). After adjusting for other confounders, the new pN classification could be an independent prognostic indicator. Besides, the new pN component had a much more accurate predictive ability in the prognostic assessment for SCLC patients of pathological classifications T1-2N0-2M0 compared with the current pN classification in the SEER database (AIC: 4705.544 vs. 4731.775; C-index: 0.654 vs. 0.617, P < 0.001). Those results were validated in the MCDB from China. Conclusions: The multicenter cohort developed and validated a modified nodal classification for SCLC patients with pathological category T1-2N0-2M0 after surgery. The irregular ocean environment brings difficulties to observation and affects the movement state of underwater vehicles. Multisource information fusion can provide more reliable results on information-rich datasets. This paper proposes a multisource information fusion-based environment perception and dynamics model for underwater vehicles in irregular ocean environments. First, the multisource observation data is decomposed by the latent feature disentanglement learning model into the latent stable and dynamical features. The dynamical feature is predicted by the retrospect regression method and then integrated with the latent stable feature to predict the ocean field. After that, the environment-vehicle coupling effect is explored by thermodynamics and statics simulation. Then, a real-time dynamic model of the underwater vehicle is constructed by combining multisource information from physical principles, environmental perception, and sensor observations. Summary: The production of defensive metabolites in plants can be induced by signaling chemicals released by neighboring plants. Induction is mainly known from volatile aboveground signals, with belowground signals and their underlying mechanisms largely unknown.We demonstrate that (−)‐loliolide triggers defensive metabolite responses to competitors, herbivores, and pathogens in seven plant species. We further explore the transcriptional responses of defensive pathways to verify the signaling role of (−)‐loliolide in wheat and rice models with well‐known defensive metabolites and gene systems.In response to biotic and abiotic stressors, (−)‐loliolide is produced and secreted by roots. This, in turn, induces the production of defensive compounds including phenolic acids, flavonoids, terpenoids, alkaloids, benzoxazinoids, and cyanogenic glycosides, regardless of plant species. (−)‐Loliolide also triggers the expression of defense‐related genes, accompanied by an increase in the concentration of jasmonic acid and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Transcriptome profiling and inhibitor incubation indicate that (−)‐loliolide‐induced defense responses are regulated through pathways mediated by jasmonic acid, H2O2, and Ca 2+.These findings argue that (−)‐loliolide functions as a common belowground signal mediating chemical defense in plants. The tachinid fly, Exorista sorbillans , is a notorious ovolarviparous endoparasitoid of the silkworm, Bombyx mori , causing severe damage to silkworm cocoon industry. Silkworm larvae show typically precocious wandering behavior after being parasitized by E. sorbillans ; however, the underlying molecular mechanism remains unexplored. Herein, we investigated the changes in the levels of 20-hydroxyecdysone (20E) and juvenile hormone (JH) titer, and they both increased in the hemolymph of parasitized silkworms. Furthermore, we verified the expression patterns of related genes, which showed an upregulation of 20E signaling and biosynthesis genes but a significant downregulation of ecdysone oxidase (EO), a 20E inactivation enzyme, in parasitized silkworms. In addition, related genes of the JH signaling were activated in parasitized silkworms, while related genes of the JH degradation pathway were suppressed, resulting in an increase in JH titer. Notably, the precocious wandering behavior of parasitized silkworms was partly recoverable by silencing the transcriptions of BmCYP302A1 or BmCYP307A1 genes. Our findings suggest that the developmental duration of silkworm post parasitism could be shortened by regulation of 20E and JH titers, which may help silkworm to resist the E. sorbillans infestation. These findings provide a basis for deeper insight into the interplay between silkworms and E. sorbillans and may serve as a reference for the development of a novel approach to control silkworm myiasis. With the development of sensor technology, data-driven modeling methods for physical oceanography have boomed. Existing deep learning studies lack interpretability from the physical mechanisms. This paper proposes a novel feature disentanglement learning model for the ocean temperature field forecast. In this method, feature disentanglement is adopted to decompose the high-dimensional measured temperature information based on Tucker decomposition. The extracted dynamic feature is filtered and predicted by incremental dynamic learning, and the incremental data information is balanced by maximizing the Gaussian likelihood. Then, the dynamic feature can be entangled with the stable features to predict the ocean temperature field. Last, incremental residual learning can compensate for the feature disentanglement learning error. Through the long development processes of reservoir sedimentation and diagenesis, acidic and alkaline fluids play key roles in controlling deep reservoir development. However, the ways in which deep fluids control and transform the reservoir under complex fault conditions remain unclear. In this study, a 2D model was established based on a typical sub-salt to intra-salt vertical profile in the Qaidam Basin, China. Based on measured data, multiphase flow reaction and solute transport simulation technology were used to analyze fluids flow and migration in the intra-salt and sub-salt reservoirs, determine the mineral dissolution, precipitation, and transformation in the reservoir caused by the deep fluids, and calculate the changes in reservoir porosity. Results show that deep fluid migrates preferentially along dominant channels and triggers a series of fluiderock chemical reactions. In the first stage, a large amount of anhydrite precipitated in the fault as a result of upward migration of deep saline fluid, resulting in the formation of anhydrite veins and blockage at the base of the fault. In the second stage, organic acids caused minerals dissolution and a vertical channel was opened in previously blocked area, which promoted continuous upward migration of organic acids and the formation of secondary pores. This study clarifies the transformative effects of deep alkaline and acidic fluids on the reservoir. Seed density per silique (SDPS) and valid silique length (VSL) are two important yield-influencing traits in rapeseed. SDPS has a direct or indirect effect on rapeseed yield through its effect on seed per silique. In this study, a quantitative trait locus (QTL) for SDPS was detected on chromosome A09 using the QTL-seq approach and confirmed via linkage analysis in the mapping population obtained from 4263 × 3001 cross. Furthermore, one major QTL for SDPS (qSD.A9-1) was mapped to a 401.8 kb genomic interval between SSR markers Nys9A190 and Nys9A531. In the same genomic region, a QTL (qSL.A9) linked to VSL was also detected. The phenotypic variation of qSD.A9-1 and qSL.A9 was 53.1% and 47.6%, respectively. Results of the additive and dominant effects demonstrated that the expression of genes controlling SDPS and VSL were derived from a different parent in this population. Subsequently, we identified 56 genes that included 45 specific genes with exonic (splicing) variants. Further analysis identified specific genes containing mutations that may be related to seed density as well as silique length. Summary: Plants actively respond to their neighbors by altering root placement patterns. Neighbor‐modulated root responses involve root detection and interactions mediated by root‐secreted functional metabolites. However, chemically mediated root placement patterns and their underlying mechanisms remain elusive.We used an allelopathic wheat model system challenged with 60 target species to identify root placement responses in window rhizobox experiments. We then tested root responses and their biochemical mechanisms in incubation experiments involving the addition of activated carbon and functional metabolites with amyloplast staining and auxin localization in roots.Wheat and each target species demonstrated intrusive, avoidant or unresponsive root placement, resulting in a total of nine combined patterns. Root placement patterns were mediated by wheat allelochemicals and (–)‐loliolide signaling of neighbor species. In particular, (–)‐loliolide triggered wheat allelochemical production that altered root growth and placement, degraded starch grains in the root cap and induced uneven distribution of auxin in target species roots.Root placement patterns in wheat–neighbor interactions were perception dependent and species dependent. Signaling (−)‐loliolide induced the production and release of wheat allelochemicals that modulated root placement patterns. Background: Bisphenol A (BPA) and its substitutes bisphenol S (BPS) and bisphenol F (BPF) are endocrine-disrupting chemicals widely used in consumer products, which have been proposed to induce various human diseases. In western countries, one of the most common liver diseases is non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). However, studies on the associations of the three bisphenols with NAFLD in human beings are scarce. Methods: We included 960 participants aged ≥ 20 years from the NHANES 2013–16 who had available data on levels of urinary BPA, BPS and BPF. The hepatic steatosis index (HSI) > 36 was used to predict NAFLD. Logistic regression analysis and mediation effect analysis were used to evaluate the associations among bisphenols, glycolipid-related markers and NAFLD. Results: A total of 540 individuals (56.3%) were diagnosed with NAFLD, who had higher concentrations of BPA and BPS but not BPF than those without NAFLD. An increasing trend in NAFLD risks and HSI levels was observed among BPA and BPS tertiles (p for trend < 0.05). After adjustment for confounders, elevated levels of BPA or BPS but not BPF were significantly associated with NAFLD. The odds ratio for NAFLD was 1.581 (95% confidence intervals [CI]: 1.1–2.274, p = 0.013) comparing the highest with the lowest tertile of BPA and 1.799 (95%CI: 1.2462.597, p = 0.002) for BPS. Mediation effect analysis indicated that serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and glucose had a mediating effect on the relationships between bisphenols and NAFLD. aimed to explore the efficacy of add-on iTBS treatment in MDD in real-world clinical practice. Methods: One hundred and fifty-nine inpatients with MDD in a general hospital were included in this study. These patients were treated with at least 8 sessions of iTBS, in addition to antidepressants and supportive psychotherapy. Symptoms of depression and anxiety were assessed with the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS) and the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HAMA) at baseline and after 2– 4 weeks of treatment. The improvement degree of depressive and anxious symptoms was compared between the first-episode MDD (n=107) and recurrent MDD (n=52) groups. Results: Depressive and anxious symptoms were reduced significantly after the add-on iTBS treatment; the response and remission rates in the first-episode MDD group were 55.14% and 28.97%, which were 63.46% and 28.85% for the recurrent MDD group, respectively (P> 0.05). The response rate and remission rate of anxiety in the first-episode MDD group was 64.13% and 57.45% for HAMA, and 66.67% and 62.50% for the recurrent MDD group (P> 0.05). Conclusion: Our findings indicated that antidepressant and anti-anxiety efficacy of add-on iTBS treatment remains equivocal in real-world clinical practice, regardless of a first-episode depression diagnosis or recurrent depression. Objective: This study explored the safety and of feasibility of video-assisted thoracoscopy (VATS) in re-operations for post-operative hemothorax. Methods: The clinical data of patients underwent re-operations due to post-operative hemothorax after pulmonary resection in Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital from 2006 to 2018 were retrospectively analysed. The incidence of re-operations were analyzed. The mortality and morbidity were compared between thoracotomy and thoracoscopic procedure for re-exploration. Results: A total of 114 patients were included. The annual incidence rate ranged from 0.21 to 0.54%; the perioperative mortality was 2.6%; there were 114 cases of re-operations for hemothorax after 2012, including 62 cases in thoracoscopy group and 52 cases in open group. The durations of chest-tube drainage (7.2 ± 3.9 days vs 10.9 ± 12.0 days, P = 0.001) and length of stay in hospital (13.7 ± 6.7 days vs 18.9 ± 10.6 days, P = 0.002) in the thoracoscopic group were shorter than those in the open group. The thoracoscopic group had fewer post-operative complications as well (P = 0.023). Meanwhile, post-operative complications in the delayed group were significantly higher than those in the non-delayed group, with a longer length of hospital stay and higher hospitalization costs. Conclusion: Complete VATS is safe and feasible for re-operation due to post-operative hemothorax and can be an alternative to thoracotomy. Background: Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy is a pregnancy-specific liver disease. In this study, we sought to explore the distribution of lipopolysaccharide in the maternal body, and its effect on the fetal body in the intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy mice. It provides a new sight for the clinical treatment of women with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. Methods: The serum levels of lipopolysaccharide and lipopolysaccharide binding protein in women with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy were analyzed. To assess the association between lipopolysaccharide levels and adverse fetal outcomes, ursodeoxycholic acid, resveratrol, and phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase inhibitor were employed in intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy mice, and we studied the fluorescence intensity and distribution of lipopolysaccharide in mice with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. Results: Our data indicated significantly elevated levels of lipopolysaccharide and lipopolysaccharide binding protein in women with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. In vivo fluorescence imaging revealed that the intensity of lipopolysaccharide in mice with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy was higher than that in the control group, and decreased after ursodeoxycholic and resveratrol treatment. The fluorescence intensity analysis indicated that lipopolysaccharide levels in maternal liver, placenta, fetal brain and fetal liver were significantly higher in the intrahepatic cholestasis pregnancy mice group than in the control group. Conclusions: This study provided evidence of endotoxin distribution in maternal liver, placenta, fetal liver and fetal brain in mice with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. With high penetration of renewable energy sources (RESs), advanced microgrid distribution networks are considered to be promising for covering uncertainties from the generation side with demand response (DR). This paper analyzes the effectiveness of multi-objective optimization in the optimal resource scheduling with consumer fairness under renewable generation uncertainty. The concept of consumer fairness is considered to provide optimal conditions for power gaps and time gaps. At the same time, it is used to mitigate system peak conditions and prevent creating new peaks with the optimal solution. Multi-objective gray wolf optimization (MOGWO) is applied to solve the complexity of three objective functions. Moreover, the best compromise solution (BCS) approach is used to determine the best solution from the Pareto-optimal front. The simulation results show the effectiveness of renewable power uncertainty on the aggregate load profile and operation cost minimization. The results also provide the performance of the proposed optimal scheduling with a DR program in reducing the uncertainty effect of renewable generation and preventing new peaks due to over-demand response. Simple Summary: According to reports from more than a decade ago, the proportion of primary salivary gland-type carcinoma (SGC) among all lung cancers is only 0.1–1.0% and the 5-year overall survival rate is more than 60%. However, previous reported studies mostly had small sample sizes due to the low proportion of primary SGC in lung cancer. The characteristics of SGC proportion and prognosis have not yet been elucidated. The aim of this study was to elucidate the clinical and prognostic characteristics of primary SGC. This study found that lung SGC has the best prognosis among adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and SGC. In addition, lobectomy can further improve the prognosis of SGCs. This study aimed to explore the clinical and prognostic characteristics of primary salivary gland-type carcinoma (SGC). The entire cohort from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database was used to calculate the SGC proportion. In total, 253,096 eligible patients, including 165,715 adenocarcinomas (ADCs), 87,062 squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs), and 319 SGCs, were selected to perform survival analyses. The data of 42 SGC patients from our hospital showed postoperative survival. Overall survival (OS) curves for different histological and surgical types were presented. The proportion of primary SGCs was 0.8 per 1000 patients. Patients with age ≤ 64 years old had a much higher proportion of SGC than those patients with age >64 years old. After adjusting for other confounders, among ADCs, SCCs, and SGC, SGCs had the best prognosis (HR 0.361, p < 0.001). Moreover, the 5-year OS rates of SGC patients were 55% and 7% in the group with surgery or without surgery, respectively (p < 0.001). The data of 42 patients from our hospital also showed a good survival of SGCs. Lobectomy improved the survival of SGCs significantly (adjusted HR 0.439, p = 0.016). Simple Summary: In this study, we aimed to establish a visual, rapid, low-cost, sensitive, specific, and portable nucleic acid detection method for PCV2 through coupling LAMP with CRISPR/Cas12a. All the results of LAMP-CRISPR detection, including a low detectable limit of 1 copy/μL, no cross-reaction with main porcine DNA or RNA viruses, and a 100% coincidence rate with qPCR detection, demonstrated that this method was reliable. In this study, we intended to establish a new and effective PCV2 detection method through combining the no specific equipment requirement advantage of loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) with the property of clustered regular interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)/Cas12a system possessing the huLbCas12a collateral cleavage activity able to cleave single-stranded DNA fluorophore quencher probe sensor (designed as LAPM-CRISPR). Following a series of optimizations of its reaction conditions, this LAMP-CRISPR-based PCV2 detection could be conducted in constant temperature equipment, with the result reflected in a direct visual readout way. This established PCV2 detection approach presented fine sensitivity, rapidity, specificity, and reliability, as demonstrated by a low detectable limit of 1 copy/μL, completed within an hour, no cross-reaction with main porcine DNA or RNA viruses like PCV1, PCV3, and PEDV, and a 100% coincidence rate with that of the quantitative PCR (qPCR) method in the evaluation of 30 clinical blood samples, respectively. Owing to the difficulties in determining the boundaries of landslides from landslide inventory, landslide samples are often expressed by geometrical points, rather than the actual shape of landslides. However, when grid units are used for landslide susceptibility assessment (LSA), the number of landslide samples is quite limited by using geometric points to represent landslides. This situation further leads to a small number of non-landslide samples that are randomly generated based on the landslide samples. This paper proposes a frequency ratio (FR)-based sampling strategy to enhance the information of landslides to achieve an improved machine learning-based LSA. To realize this idea, the FR values of landslide conditioning factors are first calculated, and each grid unit has an attribute dataset composed of FR values. Then, the grid units with the minimum FR value no less than 1 are selected as supplementary positive samples, the grid units with the maximum FR value less than 1 are selected as supplementary negative samples. The enhanced dataset is finally composed of supplementary positive samples and historical landslide points. Thereafter, two typical ML models of the random forest (RF) and support vector machine (SVM) are employed to construct the improved LSA models based on the enhanced datasets. Finally, the landslide susceptibility of Anhua County, China, is assessed by the improved ML models, and the results are compared with the ML models trained by the traditional sampling method. The results indicate that compared with traditional RF and SVM models, the corresponding improved models show better performance in accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 value. Background. The incidence of neovascular eye disease is increasing year by year, seriously threatening human vision health and becoming an urgent public health problem. Tongmai fuming decoction as an experienced prescription can treat ischemic eye disease. Objective. To investigate the therapeutic effect of Tongmai fuming decoction combined with anti-VEGF therapy on neovascular ophthalmopathy. Methods. 52 patients (62 eyes) with neovascular ophthalmopathy who met the inclusion criteria from January 2018 to July 2020 were randomly divided into the control and observation groups. The control group was given an intravitreal injection of antivascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) drugs once a day combined with on-demand treatment. The observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine Tongmai fuming decoction in addition to the treatment of anti-VEGF drugs. The best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was examined before and after treatment, and optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) was used to examine the mean retinal thickness and neovascularization in the macular area. Patients were followed for one year and the number of anti-VEGF injections was recorded. Results. After treatment, the average thickness of BCVA and macular retina in the two groups significantly improved. The BCVA of the control group was 0.59 ± 0.39 3 months after treatment, and that of the experimental group was 0.42 ± 0.25 3 months after treatment. The average thickness of the macular retina in the control group was 304.8 ± 79.7 3 months after treatment, and that in the experimental group was 267.7 ± 64.6 3 months after treatment; The average number of injections of anti-VEGF therapy in the control group was 2.32 ± 1.15 times, and that in the experimental group was 1.74 ± 0.76 times. There was a significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion. Tongmai fuming decoction and anti-VEGF therapy have a synergistic effect in the treatment of neovascular ophthalmopathy, which can reduce the treatment times of anti-VEGF drugs. An accurately dynamic model is crucial for systematic model-based motion prediction, control, and optimization. Historical dynamic models for underwater gliders ignored the ocean influence. This paper proposes dynamic modeling and experimental analysis of an underwater glider in the ocean. The physics-based dynamic model of the underwater glider is established first based on the Lagrangian equation, including gravity and buoyancy effects, the couplings caused by adjustment buoyancy and moving internal masses, and hydrodynamics caused by the fluid environment. Then, the compensation models of the underwater glider in the ocean are constructed to capture the critical effects on the underwater glider motion, including models of hydrological based on deep neural network, buoyancy loss based on finite element analysis, and ocean currents. Simple Summary: The therapeutic effect of postoperative radiotherapy for small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients with limited stage remained unclear. The aim of this retrospective study was to construct and validate a nomogram to assess the prognosis of small-cell lung cancer patients followed surgery in a large cohort (882 patients) which involved patients from Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital and the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results database. The nomogram derived from the training cohort achieved good predictive ability and could discriminate low- and high-risk subgroups in four cohorts. Postoperative radiotherapy promoted survival for high-risk patients but had little effect on low-risk patients. Moreover, by subgroup analysis based on the N stage, we suggested that N2 patients in the high-risk subgroup could benefit more from postoperative radiotherapy. Therefore, our nomogram might help with clinical decisions on the strategy of postoperative radiotherapy for SCLC patients. This study constructed and validated a prognostic model to evaluate the survival of small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients following surgery, and shed light on the strategy of postoperative radiotherapy. A total of 882 patients from Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital and the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results database after lung resection were selected. Multivariable Cox analysis was used to identify the indicators affecting long-term survival in patients. A nomogram was constructed to predict the prognosis of eligible patients. Indices of concordance (C-index) was used to access the predictive ability of cancer-specific survival (CSS) for the prognostic model. CSS discrimination in the prognostic model was comparable in the training and validation cohorts (C-index = 0.637[NORAD-T], 0.660[NORAD-V], 0.656[RAD] and 0.627[our hospital], respectively. Stratification based on the cutoff value of the nomogram yielded low- and high-risk subgroups in four cohorts. For patients in the high-risk group, postoperative radiotherapy was considered a survival-promoting strategy (unadjusted HR 0.641, 95% CI 0.469–0.876, p = 0.0046). In the low-risk group, however, the implementation of radiotherapy barely had an influence on CSS. In conclusion, the nomogram we constructed and validated could predict the prognosis of SCLC patients followed surgery and identify high-risk patients who were likely to benefit from postoperative radiotherapy. In order to explore the clinical efficacy of DOTATATE imaging combined with CGA and BSP in the diagnosis of bone metastasis in patients with NENs, a total of 100 NEN patients treated in our hospital from January 2021 to January 2022 were analyzed. All patients are divided into bone metastasis group and nonmetastasis group according to pathological examination results. The differences of DOTATATE imaging, CGA, and BSP are compared, and ROC curves are obtained to analyze the clinical efficacy of the three indicators in single application and combined diagnosis. The results show that AUC, sensitivity, and specificity of DOTATATE, BSP, and CGA combined diagnosis are higher than those of single diagnosis (P < 0.05). It is clearly evident that DOTATATE test, BSP, and CGA can obtain accurate results in the diagnosis of bone metastasis in NEN patients, and those combined diagnosis can improve the diagnostic efficiency. China has witnessed the trend of corporate financialization (CF) with some potential risks as the economy slows down its pace in the past decade. In this paper, we explore whether corporate social responsibility (CSR) could work as an information channel to restrain CF or as reputation insurance to promote CF. We find a significant positive relation between CSR and CF, especially for non-SOEs and enterprises with low ownership concentration and high CSR scores. It verifies that the reputation insurance effect by CSR outweighs the information effect and denies the opposite. The results prove robust in tests including sensitivity and endogeneity test. By expanding the scale and adding new aspects to the discussion about how CSR affects CF, this paper provides valuable empirical support to both theorists and practitioners. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Poleroviruses are positive-sense, single-stranded viruses. In this study, we describe the identification of a novel polerovirus isolated from soybean displaying curled leaves. The complete viral genome sequence was identified using high-throughput sequencing and confirmed using rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE), RT-PCR and Sanger sequencing. Its genome organization is typical of the members of genus Polerovirus, containing seven putative open reading frames (ORFs). The full genome is composed of single-stranded RNA of 5822 nucleotides in length, with the highest nucleotide sequence identity (79.07% with 63% coverage) for cowpea polerovirus 2 (CPPV2). Amino acid sequence identities of the protein products between the virus and its relatives are below the threshold determined by the International Committee of Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) for species demarcation, and this strongly supports this virus' status as a novel species, for which the name soybean chlorotic leafroll virus (SbCLRV) is proposed. Recombination analysis identified a recombination event in the ORF5 of the 3' portion in the genome. Phylogenetic analyses of the genome and encoded protein sequences revealed that the new virus is closely related to phasey bean mild yellows virus, CPPV2 and siratro latent polerovirus. Background: Considering older adults are getting closer to the end-of-life and face death more directly. Attitudes to death not only affect the physical and mental health of older adults, but also affect their acceptance of hospice care, even the quality of death. This study aims to explore the status, influencing factors of attitudes toward death and demands of death education among the community-dwelling older adults in southwestern China.Methods: A cross-sectional survey was adopted to investigate 683 community-dwelling older adults in Chongqing, China. Non-parametric test and multiple linear regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of different attitudes toward death of older adults in community.Results: The multiple linear regression models showed that different dimensions of death attitudes were affected by one or more factors including number of diseases, discussion about life and death, marital status, and average income per month. And community-dwelling older adults have high level demand for death education.Conclusions: Under the taboo culture of death in China, this study is one of the few studies on the attitudes toward death and the demands for death education of the community-dwelling older adults. Information thermodynamics has developed rapidly over past years, and the trapped ions, as a controllable quantum system, have demonstrated feasibility to experimentally verify the theoretical predictions in the information thermodynamics. Here, we address some representative theories of information thermodynamics, such as the quantum Landauer principle, information equality based on the two-point measurement, information-theoretical bound of irreversibility, and speed limit restrained by the entropy production of system, and review their experimental demonstration in the trapped ion system. In these schemes, the typical physical processes, such as the entropy flow, energy transfer, and information flow, build the connection between thermodynamic processes and information variation. We then elucidate the concrete quantum control strategies to simulate these processes by using quantum operators and the decay paths in the trapped-ion system. Based on them, some significantly dynamical processes in the trapped ion system to realize the newly proposed information-thermodynamic models is reviewed. Although only some latest experimental results of information thermodynamics with a single trapped-ion quantum system are reviewed here, we expect to find more exploration in the future with more ions involved in the experimental systems. The impact of Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications on platoon control performance is investigated. Platoon control is essentially a sequential stochastic decision problem (SSDP), which can be solved by Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) to deal with both the control constraints and uncertainty in the platoon leading vehicle’s behavior. In this context, the value of V2X communications for DRL-based platoon controllers is studied with an emphasis on the tradeoff between the gain of including exogenous information in the system state for reducing uncertainty and the performance erosion due to the curse-of-dimensionality. Our objective is to find the specific set of information that should be shared among the vehicles for the construction of the most appropriate state space. SSDP models are conceived for platoon control under different information topologies (IFT) by taking into account ‘just sufficient’ information. Furthermore, theorems are established for comparing the performance of their optimal policies. In order to determine whether a piece of information should or should not be transmitted for improving the DRL-based control policy, we quantify its value by deriving the conditional KL divergence of the transition models. More meritorious information is given higher priority in transmission, since including it in the state space has a higher probability in offsetting the negative effect of having higher state dimensions. Background: Resin-tapping forests of slash pine (Pinus elliottii) have been set up across Southern China owing to their high production and good resin quality, which has led to the rapid growth of the resin industry. In this study, we aimed to identify molecular markers associated with resin traits in pine trees, which may help develop marker-assisted selection (MAS). Methods: PeTPS-(-)Apin gene was cloned by double primers (external and internal). DnaSP V4.0 software was used to evaluate genetic diversity and linkage disequilibrium. SHEsis was used for haplotype analysis. SPSS was used for ANOVA and χ2 test. DnaSP v4.0 software was used to evaluate genetic diversity. Results: The full length PeTPS-(-)Apin gene was characterized and shown to have 4638 bp, coding for a 629-amino acid protein. A total of 72 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) loci were found. Three SNPs (CG615, AT641 and AG3859) were significantly correlated with α -pinene content, with a contribution rate > 10%. These SNPs were used to select P. elliottii with high α-pinene content, and a 118.0% realistic gain was obtained. Conclusions: The PeTPS-(-)Apin gene is not uniquely decisive for selection of plus slash pines with stable production, high yield, and good quality, but it can be used as a reference for selection of other resin-producing pines and other resin components. The material point method (MPM) has been increasingly used for slope stability analysis in recent years. However, the factor of safety (FS) cannot be obtained directly by MPM because of, at least partially, the lack of user-friendly commercial software, which brings inconvenience to practical slope stability analysis. This paper develops a new chart method for a fast FS evaluation via the Strength Reduction Method-based MPM (SRM-MPM) so that FS evaluation and large deformation analysis can be conducted within a unified framework. The proposed chart method is developed through establishing the relationship between the dimensionless soil parameter λ and FS obtained by SRM-MPM. The two-dimensional homogeneous slopes with different depth coefficients (D/H) are studied, based on which the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through a system comparison with several available methods in literature. The results show that the proposed chart method is feasible and can be conveniently used for FS evaluation. In this letter, we propose an end-to-end multi-modal based convolutional self-attention network to perform power control in non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks. We formulate an energy efficiency (EE) maximization problem, and we design an iterative solution to handle this optimization problem. This solution can provide an offline benchmark but might not be suitable for online power control, therefore, we employ our proposed deep learning model. The proposed deep learning model consists of two main pipelines, one for the deep feature mapping where we stack our self-attention block on top of a ResNet to extract high quality features, and focus on specific regions in the data to extract the patterns of the influential factors (interference, quality of service (QoS), and the corresponding power allocation). The second pipeline is to extract the shallow modality features. Those features are combined and passed to a dense layer to perform the final power prediction. The proposed deep learning framework achieves near optimal performance, and outperforms traditional solutions and other strong deep learning models such as PowerNet and the conventional convolutional neural network (CNN).
