Objectives: To investigate the difference of application of core needle biopsy histology and fine needle aspiration cytology in cervical lymphadenopathy. Methods: A retrospective analysis was made on 80 patients with cervical lymphadenopathy admitted to Baoding No.1 Central Hospital from to October 2018 to February 2020, and they were randomly divided into two groups: core needle group and fine needle group. Patients in the core needle group were given core needle biopsy histology, while those in the fine needle group were given fine needle aspiration cytology, and the puncture results and surgical complications were compared between the two groups. Results: The accuracy rates of the core needle group and the fine needle group in the diagnosis of malignant cervical lymph nodes were 95.83% and 72.22% respectively, with a statistically significant difference (χ²=4.683, p=0.030). The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of the core needle group were 100.00%, 93.75%, 95.83% and 100.00% respectively, while those of the fine needle group were 86.67%, 90.00%, 86.67% and 90.00% respectively, with no statistically significant differences between the two groups (p>0.05). The complication rate in the core needle group was 22.50%, which was higher than the 5.00% in the fine needle group (χ²=5.165, p=0.023). Objectives: To compare the diagnostic efficacy of fine needle aspiration (FNA) and core needle biopsy (CNB) for metastatic lymph nodes guided by contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), and to provide reference for clinical selection of puncture methods. Methods: A total of 168 patients who were admitted to Baoding No.1 Central Hospital from June 2020 to January 2021 and required puncture of the diseased lymph nodes were included. Seventy six patients were guided by conventional ultrasound, of which 37 received FNA and 39 received CNB. 92 patients were guided by CEUS, of which 41 received FNA and 51 received CNB. The diagnostic accuracy of FNA and CNB guided by conventional ultrasound and CEUS was compared, and the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of FNA and CNB in the diagnosis of metastatic lymph nodes guided by CEUS were further compared. Results: The diagnostic accuracy of FNA and CNB guided by CEUS were higher than that guided by conventional ultrasound, with a statistically significant difference (P0.05). Conclusion: CEUS can guide puncture and improve diagnosis accuracy. A pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi, neighboring plants (Trifolium repens), addition of EDTA and phosphate fertilizer on the performance of Dianthus superbus grown on Pb contaminated soil. The growth and quality of D. superbus were investigated to provide a theoretical basis for the scientific cultivation of Chinese herbal medicine. The results showed that the D. superbus with AM resulted in a significant inhibition of Pb uptake (P＜0.05), increase of root development and root/shoot ratio compared to untreated control plants, and with the highest content of active component. Three new phenyl ether derivatives, 3-hydroxy-5-(3-hydroxy-5-methylphenoxy)benzoic acid (1), 3,4-dihydroxy-5-(3-hydroxy-5-methylphenoxy)benzoic acid (2), 3-[3-hydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)phenoxy]-5-methylphenol (3), and three known compounds 4–6 were obtained from the fermentation broth of Aspergillus carneus HQ889708, which was isolated from sea water from South China Sea. The structures of compounds 1–3 were established on the basis of spectroscopic methods including ESI-MS and NMR. Compounds 4–6 were reported before as synthesized products, herein, they are reported from nature for the first time.

This paper presents an improved method to identify structural damages only by changes of natural frequencies. The underlying principle of the proposed technique is to measure the natural frequencies of the damaged system, and then use this set of data as well as the original test data of undamaged system to identify structural damages with the help of eigenvalue perturbation method. In this contribution, a simple accelerated formula is developed to improve the accuracy of the eigenvalue perturbation method. With the introduction of the accelerated formula, the proposed method is able to achieve more accurate results than that obtained by the original eigenvalue perturbation method without any high-order analysis or multi-iterations. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated using simulated data on a published numerical example. From the numerical results, it can be conclued that the proposed approach is simple to implement and can identify structural damages very accurately only by the first few natural frequencies.

Structural damage detection using vibration modes has become a very important research area in recent years. In this paper, an improved generalized flexibility sensitivity method is presented for structural damage identification. The existing generalized flexibility method is firstly reviewed and then an improved technique is proposed. In this contribution, a simple accelerated formula is developed to improve the accuracy of the generalized flexibility method. With the introduction of the accelerated formula, the proposed method is able to achieve more accurate results than that obtained by the original generalized flexibility method without any high-order analysis or multi-iterations. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated using simulated data on a published numerical example. From the numerical results, it can be conclued that the proposed new method is very efficient with only the first frequency and its corresponding mode shape. It has been shown that the proposed procedure is simple to implement and may be useful for structural damage identification.

The oxygen transport in the nickel-zirconia composite was investigated using the oxygen permeation method. A disk-shaped sample made of nickel (40 vol%) and yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) was used to construct a permeation cell. By exposing one side of the sample to a CO2 gas stream and the other side to a CO stream at elevated temperatures, oxide ions were extracted from CO2 and transported to the other side to oxidize CO. The oxygen permeation flux through the composite was determined by analyzing the effluent from the permeation cell, and the oxygen ionic conductivity of the composite was derived from the permeation data and the oxygen partial pressures. It was shown that the oxygen ionic conductivity of the composite YSZ fraction was about one third of that for the single-phase zirconia ceramic, and the activation energy associated with the transport of oxide ions in the composite is somewhat greater than that of the single-phase zirconia.

A method based on the X-ray diffraction intensity ratio was developed to determine the maximum deficiency that the perovskite-structured La1−xMnO3±δ can accommodate at the A-site. Computer simulation predicts that the intensity ratio of (024) and (012) reflections for La1−xMnO3±δ in hexagonal setting increases with increasing the La deficiency x. XRD analysis shows that with increasing x until 0.09, the ratio increases as predicted, then levels off with further increase in x. An abrupt change in electrical conductivity is also observed at x of ∼0.10. It is concluded that the maximum deficiency lies in between 0.09 and 0.10 for La1−xMnO3±δ. The methodology presented in this paper in principle can be applied to other perovskite-structured materials.

The objective of this study was to improve the solubility and bioavailability of curcumin by a new curcumin dripping pills (Cur-DPs) formulation using melt mixing methods. The optimal formulation consisted of Polyethoxylated 40 hydrogenated castor oil (Cremophor RH40), Poloxamer 188, and Polyethylene glycol 4000 (PEG 4000). Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) were used to verify the forming of Cur-DPs. All the physical characterization information proved the formation of Cur-DPs, and the results demonstrated the superiority of the dripping pills in dissolution rates. The pharmacokinetic study of Cur-DPs was performed in rats compared to the pure curcumin suspension. The oral bioavailability of poorly water-soluble curcumin was successfully improved by CUR-DPs. And the stability of prepared Cur-DP was also in a good state in 3 months. These results identified the Cur-DPs was an effective new approach for pharmaceutical application.
