Research has been conducted on the para-substituted aromatic silanes. The Si-X (X= H, F, Cl, Li) bond dissociation energies of these silanes have been calculated and the details are reported.

Research has been conducted on dichlorogallane (HGaCl (sub)2) (sub)2. The preparation of this compound from gallium trichloride and triethylsilane and its crystal structure determined via single crystal X-ray diffraction are discussed.

The stereoselective syntheses of the natural and racemic forms of this enantiomer have been carried out via the use of intramolecular spirocyclization of the N-acyliminium ion with allylsilane and the details are reported.

The reaction of this compounds with allene producing allylsilane-vinylcopper intermediate has been carried out and the results indicate that upon treatment with alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones the reaction leads to the allylsilane containing ketones.

The reaction of these compounds with the dimethyl diallylmalonate and other functionalized 1,6-dienes has been carried out in producing the silylated cyclopentanes with high diastereoselectivity and the results are discussed.

Research has been conducted on the tri-tert-butylphenoxyl radical (ArO (radical)). The reaction of this radical with (TMS) (sub)3 SiH has been measured spectrophotometrically and the results are presented.

The synthesis of (+)-juruenolide C is discussed. Results indicate that the conversion of lactone into lactol bezyl ether and lactone carbonyl regeneration led to (+)-juruenolide C.

Research has been conducted on the reaction of bis(acylsilanes) with trifluoromethyltrimethylsilane. The creation of the new family of trialkylsilylketols and the keto-enol equilibrium of cyclic fluorodiketones are described.
