Aim: Impact analysis of the invitation women to screening mammography and strategies of the invitation on the effectiveness of breast cancer screening programme in the Czech Republic. Methods: Questionnaire survey including 73 certified breast cancer screening centers in the Czech Republic. Evaluation of the answers to the questions focused on the specific form of established invitation strategy, time periodicity and the method of selection of the target female population. Comparison of „the return of women to screening programme indicator“ between the centers using active invitation strategy and those that do not. Results: Out of the total number of participated screening centers, the return rate of the sent questionnaire surveys was 97% (71 respondents). Active invitation strategy of the target female population for screening mammography using various forms and information systems is practiced by about half of the certfied screening centers, in most cases after a two-year time period since the previous examination. Most centers also accepted a favorable response from the patients. The analysis of „the return of women to screening programme indicator“ confirmed a clearly positive impact of the active invitation strategy on the female participation in breast cancer screening programme. Centers, that invite their clients, achieve a higher participation of women in the next screening examination, by about 10 p.p. Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is one of the most effective forms of therapy of severe psychiatric conditions. ECT is often perceived negatively by the general public, however the negative perspective of ECT is in contrast with a real perspective of ECT by patients themselves and their relatives. In this study we have observed patients (N=67) and their relatives - mostly family members (N=50), who have been treated with ECT at the Department of Psychiatry, First Faculty of Medicine and General University Hospital in Prague. Both groups have filled a questionnaire after finishing the treatment (series of ECT), which evaluated the effectivity, awareness, and possible pressure to undergo the treatment. Part of the questionnaire was also to evaluate side effects and willingness to repeat ECT again in the future, if indicated. Most of the patients (over 80%) were content with the treatment, they considered it effective, and they were not afraid to undergo ECT again, despite approximately one third of the group reporting to experience some form of mild adverse effects. Patients' relatives had also similarly positive attitude towards ECT, which was used to treat their close ones. Positive feedback from patients themselves and their relatives can help to reduce the stigmatization of ECT, which can help future patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: Demonstration of low effectivity in programs EQA for hormone in serum and possibilities for its improvement. Method: Minireview about possibilities of improving reference values for assessment of results, for bias determination and for kind of control materials. Results: Missing standardization, harmonization and metrological traceability are resolved by using average values from individual methods like EQA reference target for assessment of laboratory results. There are frequently subdivided according to platforms and "generations" of the same producers. It leads to minimalization of validity in quality assessment and paradoxically to falsely high successfulness of labs in EQA. We briefly introduce possibilities of improvement of validity and effectiveness of hormone measurement by different ways. From mathematical recalibration to standardization by means of mass spectrometry methods. Conclusion: Commutability of control materials and creating the reference systems based on mass spectrometry can resolve poor situation and increase effectiveness of ERQA programs for hormone. Objective. The methodology of a systematic review of studies verifying the efficacy of intervention in the treatment of mental disorders helps to reduce bias by using explicit and rigorous methods for literature search and critical evaluation of previous studies. Up to now, no systematic review has been conducted on the efficacy of individual emotion focused therapy (EFT), despite the growing number of research findings examining the efficacy of EFT. The aim of this systematic review is therefore to evaluate the efficacy of an individual form of EFT in the treatment of mental problems and disorders. Method. In this study, the authors followed the PRISMA methodological manual. A systematic literature search was performed in the EBSCO, PubMed and Web of Science databases. The analysis was focused on assessing the magnitude of the effect of pre-post therapeutic changes, the sustainability of change within follow-up, or comparing the effect of change with another psychotherapeutic approach by evaluating the statistical and material significance of changes (effect size). Results. The authors identified seven studies that used a (quasi) experimental method to investigate the efficacy of EFT. The results support the efficacy of EFT as well as the sustainability of change in the treatment of depression. There is preliminary support for the efficacy of EFT in the treatment of social anxiety, trauma and eating disorders. So far, in the case of the abovementioned disorders and difficulties, it is possible to consider EFT as probably effective. Limitations. Motolová M, Král M. Ultrasound guidance versus flouroscopic targeting of urolithiasis by extracorporeal shock wave litotripsy. Aim: Efficacy comparison of two localization techniques using ESWL - exclusively real time ultrasound or fluoroscopy. Demonstration of at least equivalence of both techniques. To publisize the advantages of real-time ultrasound guidance to encourage more departments in develop of this modality. Methods: This bicentric retrospective study compares stone free rates (SFRs) in three selected groups of patients with similar characteristics. Inclusion criteria: ESWL as primary intervention for nephrolithiasis, proximal or prevesical uretherolithiasis. The definition of stone free was a patient without any residual stone or the absence of fragments = 2 mm. The arm with exclusively real-time USG targeting of urolithiasis contains a group of 120 patients, using electromagnetic lithotripter - STORZ SLK between 02/2017-02/2020. The fluroscopy-arm includes two groups: 72 patients, using electroconductive lithotripters: Sonolith-i-sys (EDAP) between 04-10/2017 and 68 patients, by using electrohydraulic lithotripter Medilit 7 between 01/2016-03/2017. Simultaneus evaluation of requisite for auxiliary techniques and number of sessions for complete stone-desintegration. Results: SFR was 90% in the USG-guided group. The avarage number of ESWL sessions was 1,3. SFR in the fluoroscopic arm: the group-Sonolith-i-sys plus the group Medilit 7 was 90%. The avarage number of ESWL sessions was 1,5. These results were not significantly different a = 0,105. The same result is shown on comparson of frequency of requirement for auxiliary techniques - DJ-stent insertion/ureterorenoscopy a = 0,453. Radiation exposure was the biggest difference between techniques, as well as analgesics requirement which were significantly lower in USG arm (a < 0,001). The operator presence-time was significantly longer in USG - guided ESWL. Conclusion: Our study shows efficacy equivalence of outcomes of both localization modalities. Real-time USG guidance should be primarily used to reduce radation exposure for patients undergoing ESWL. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the present text, the author focuses on Sartre's influence on the work of Alain Robbe-Grillet. Sartre's text that seems to have represented a major source of inspiration for Robbe-Grillet's writing is a short 1939 essay entitled „Intentionality: A Fundamental Idea of Husserl's Phenomenology", where Sartre refuses the idea of knowledge as an absorption of objects in subject's interiority. In the second part of the present paper, the author offers a close reading of Robbe-Grillet's Jealousy to support this view, concentrating in particular on the problem of affectivity. The article proposes a contemporary reflection on Hegel's famous quote "the real is the rational and the rational is the real" that tradition has often misinterpreted. Inspired by a new reading by Jean- François Kervégan (which translates the sentence "the rational will become effective/real and the real/effective will become rational"), the article focuses on one of the possible illustrations of this Hegelian thesis. Émile Zola's novel The Work consists of a very interesting analysis of the notions of reality, effectiveness and rationality that the author applies to both literature and visual arts. The article summarizes research studies and meta-analytical findings that verified effectivity of the Person Centred Psychotherapy (PCT) and Experiential psychotherapies (PCET). The author´s aim is to give evidence about presence of empirical studies that are documenting effectivity of this psychotherapeutic approaches in the view of evidence based psychotherapy. Current research results states evidence that PCT/PCET (a) brings adaptive personality changes to the clients that are persistent after the end of psychotherapy; (b) have comparable general effectivity than Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) or Psychodynamic psychotherapies (PDT); (c) are effective in depressions, anxiety, relationships problems, and psychosis while are discussed specifics and strengths of effectivity by particular psychic disorders; and (d) brings many of qualitative gains for clients, but some negative experiences, too. The content of this article is to compare overall market values of football national representations which took part in UEFA EURO 2012 in Poland and the Ukraine. The size of team market value is determined by a summarization of all the team players’ market value regardless of their participation in matches. The highest market value was achieved by the national team of Spain, the lowest by the national team of Ireland. The overall team market value is related to success (failure) at EURO 2012 which is expressed by a total amount of points gained. There is an evident strong influence of team market value on the result gained at UEFA EURO 2012 based on the results of regression and correlation analysis. The value of correlation coefficient is 0.78. Another target was determining the effectiveness of national football teams at UEFA EURO 2012 as a proportion of the representation quality and the overall amount of points gained at the tournament. From this point of view the most effective team was the Czech football representation, the least effective was the Dutch representation. Závislost velikosti tržní hodnoty mužstva na dosaženém výsledku na ME ve fotbale 2012 Obsahem článku je porovnání celkových tržních hodnot fotbalových reprezentací, které se účastnily ME ve fotbale v roce 2012 v Polsku a na Ukrajině. Velikost tržní hodnoty týmu je dána součtem tržních hodnot všech hráčů v týmu bez ohledu na to, zda do utkání nastoupili, či nikoliv. Nejvyšší tržní hodnotu měl reprezentační výběr Španělska, nejmenší pak tým Irska. Celková tržní hodnota týmů je dána do souvislosti s úspěchem (neúspěchem) na ME 2012, který je vyjádřen celkovým počtem získaných bodů. Z výsledků regresní a korelační analýzy je patrný silný vliv tržní hodnoty týmu na dosaženém výsledku na EURO 2012. Hodnota korelačního koeficientu je 0,78. Dalším cílem bylo určení efektivity národních fotbalových týmů na EURO 2012 jako poměru kvality reprezentačního výběru a celkového počtu dosažených bodů na turnaji. Z tohoto pohledu nejefektivnějším týmem byla česká fotbalová reprezentace, nejméně efektivní nizozemská reprezentace.

The paper deals with the issue of creation of new public spaces in emerging residential areas in rural settlements and small towns. The developers of the new residential zones currently pursue their private interests and the specific rural structure is complemented by isolated residential complexes without relation to the centre of the settlement and structure of the main public spaces. The hypothesis that the efficient residential structure can be achieved even at a higher percentage of active and vibrant public spaces is verified at eleven case studies in three selected settlements (Bernolákovo, Brezno, Chorvátsky Grob -- Čierna Voda). The examined proposals (case studies) showed that despite the wide application of social and recreational public spaces and the large percentage of green area per capita, the site coverage coefficient was comparable and the population density was even higher than the current standards of development. In conclusion, it is possible to say, that the creation of public spaces in a residential zone does not adversely affect the efficiency of the new development. SUMMARY: Failure to address gender has often led to its invisibility in prevention. This paper explores evidence on the effectiveness of prevention programmes for girls that can offer practitioners and researchers an insight into why girls and boys respond differently to prevention, based on a review of school and community-based prevention programmes with results broken down by gender, listed in the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices and in the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (UNDOC, 2016). The paper analyses five prevention programmes that have proven to be more effective among girls: Self-Management and Resistance Training (SMART); (2) ALERT Plus; (3) ATHENA; (4) a Computer-Delivered Programme (mothers and daughters), and (5) the Strengthening Families Program. The results of our review show that: (i) only a minority of prevention programmes have been assessed and in few of these cases has an analysis been conducted that takes gender differences into account; (ii) only two of these programmes are gender-specific; (iii) female athletes are not exempt from wishing to achieve a thin body type or from drug use; (iv) in some cases, a programme's detected higher female effectiveness is specific to girls in high-risk situations, and (v) involving mothers helps to reduce consumption among both children and mothers. The findings are discussed in terms of the relevance of a gender-related analysis of data on substance abuse and its prevention. New fields of research are suggested. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Tento příspěvek se zabývá porovnáním dvou typů kontejnerových lodí používaných v námořní přepravě kontejnerů a to lodě typu Triple E a Suezmax. V příspěvku jsou porovnány jednotkové náklady na danou relaci a je zde vyčíslena efektivita provozu těchto velkých nosičů kontejnerů.
