- Abstract
Sixty years after the death of Franz Alexander, it is necessary to investigate what is alive and what is dead in his thought about psychosomatics, focusing in particular on the notions of emotion and vegetative neurosis as central to his model of explanation. It is then worth noting, in the light of the developments after Alexander, the today’s difficulty in supporting psychosomatics as an autonomous discipline, to the point of questioning the legitimacy of the expression itself: Bottaccioli & Bottaccioli’s (2024a) proposal to identify it with Psycho-Neuro-EndocrineImmunology (PNEI) must be measured in this problematic context. In any case, the always valid need remains, already supported by Alexander, for a unitary, “holistic” consideration of the human being, sick and healthy. However, this is a paradigm that has to be justified and clarified conceptually in the actual role it plays as an inspirer of research and specific explanations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The problems posed by Leonardo’s pathographies written by Freud are examined. The historical path of the problem of the relationship between genius and psychopathology is reconstructed, showing that psychoanalysis fits into a very active vein at the end of the 19th century, expressing different theoretical approaches with which Freud relates. The interest for the problem then continued, with alternate answers, until the current days. The distortions made by Freud in Leonardo’s pathographical description are examined; these distortions are extensively examined by several authors, which, however, is not distant from what Freud implements in his other works, nor from what other pathographists of the time did. It is a common behavior in the history of science and well known in modern epistemology that identifies in the development of theories also the importance of rhetorical tools with which scientists support them. It is emphasized that one cannot read particular psychological aspects in these Freudian behaviors, making in fact a pathography of the author of pathographies, but only lead his work to the coherence of the historical contexts in which he operates. - Abstract
After having tried to reconstruct the nature of Giuseppe Civitarese’s (2023a, 2023b, 2023c) proposal to found intersubjective psychoanalysis on the thought of the philosopher Husserl, and the subsequent discussions by Filippo Maria Ferro & Giuseppe Riefolo (2023) and by Mauro Fornaro (2023a, 20323b), it is proposed to try to reconstruct the history of intersubjectivity in psychoanalysis starting from its foundation by Harry Stack Sullivan who preferred to use the term “interpersonal”. Only after the introduction of the concept of projective identification by Melanie Klein in 1946 and the revisitation of the concept of countertransference by Paula Heimann in 1950, also the psychoanalytic mainstream begun moving in this direction, partly also utilizing the important contribution of those European philosophers who put the topic of intersubjectivity at the center of their work. This is how the analyst’s participation and the co-creation of the session are so important today. This is the context in which such a debate has to be placed and through which it can be further developed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
It is proposed a fine-tuning of the definition of intersubjectivity as inferable by Giuseppe Civitarese (2023a) – especially with regard to the expression “with-being” which is included therein – in order to overcome certain ambiguities within a constructive perspective, also paying particular attention to compatibility with Bion’s notion of group (and therefore of “field”). It is urged also to stick to the most consolidated interpretations of the philosophers mentioned, if their ideas are used in non-philosophical disciplines; in this way it is further attested to Husserl’s unlikely compatibility with psychoanalysis. 6. De tempore aut more? Riflessioni sull’articolo di Luca Degasperi.

- Abstract
The concept of presentification finds an important place in clinical models of trauma. In psychotherapy, do “present moment”, focus on the “here and now” and mindfulness refer to the same semantic field? Or is it sufficient to distinguish its contents through the favorable/maladaptive polarity? Are the concepts of “defensive automatism” and of “defensive style” overlapping? Is maladaptive presentation a metahistorical fact? Does adolescence show always behaviors of maladaptive presentification? The brief critical argument presented in this intervention on Luca Degasperi’s (2023) article starts from the need to clarify the epistemological field of the construct of presentification, suggesting an alternative terminological hypothesis to the maladaptive meaning and a socio-cultural recontextualization of the clinical pictures described. INTERSUBJECTIVITY , *INFANTS , *FLUIDS , *NEUTRALITY - Abstract
In dialogue with the paper by Civitarese (2023), some reflections are suggested. Intersubjectivity shifts the focus of psychoanalytic interest from the subject to the "intersubject". Psychoanalytic interest, therefore, moves from a study of phenomena toward a continuously unstable and fluid process. Such a process identifies fields and no more tòpoi in which it can organize itself. Our reflection seeks to emphasize the suggestions of Civitarese and, above all, is oriented toward underlining the three levels of intersubjectivity as proposed by Infant Research, preliminary to the more radical positions of Stolorow's group, and then of Jessica Benjamin and of Ogden. Intersubjectivity necessarily identifies a third type of unconscious, which is not only dynamic and pre-reflexive, but above all not validated. Finally, enactments, by disengaging action from acting-out, assume a function of creative evolution in the therapeutic process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The imbalance between the prevalence of patients with acute respiratory failure (ARF) and acute-on-chronic respiratory failure (ACRF) and the number of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds requires new solutions. The increasing use of non-invasive respiratory tools to support patients at earlier stages of ARF and the increased expertise of non-ICU clinicians in other types of supportive care have led to the development of adult Pulmonary Intensive Care Units (PICU) and Pulmonary Intermediate Care Units (PIMCU). As in other European countries, Italian PICUs and PIMCUs provide an intermediate level of care as the setting designed for managing ARF patients without severe non-pulmonary dysfunction. The PICUs and PIMCUs may also act as step-down units for weaning patients from prolonged mechanical ventilation, and for discharging patients still requiring ventilatory support at home. These units may play an important role in the on-going coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. This position paper promoted by the Italian Thoracic Society (ITS-AIPO) describes the models, facilities, staff, equipment and operating methods of PICUs and PIMCUs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
German art historian Aby Moritz Warburg (1866-1929) was the first to introduce a revolution in the traditional criteria for classifying works of art. He challenged the 'organ pipes' conception of the various art genres and advocated its opposite, the 'blending', thus valorising, rather than the canonical division, the melting, the synergies and the mutual contamination. The catalogue-book Beni svelati, by studying the agglomeration that has accumulated over time in the closed rooms of the State, illustrates precisely how this fusion, accidental at the start, resolved itself, as time passed, into something historically meaningful in itself. This is even truer at the present moment, now that the advent of the digital format has decisively affected the traditional division by subject, characterising the culture of the last centuries. The author responds to the critical remarks in the comments by Ferro & Riefolo (2023) and by Fornaro (2023). The main points are, in the first comment, the status of reality in psychoanalysis, enactment, the various conceptions of the unconscious, self-disclosure, and the dialogue between philosophy and psychoanalysis. As for the second comment, on the other hand, the issues addressed concern the interpretation of Husserl's contribution to a better definition of the concept of intersubjectivity in psychoanalysis and methodological aspects related to the use of notions derived from speculative thought. ORGANS (Anatomy) , *HUMAN body , *TWENTIETH century , *PAPERMAKING , *ANATOMY , *SOCIAL innovation - Abstract
This paper focuses on the papermaking inventions that, beginning with the Flemish physician Andreas Vesalius' De humani corporis fabrica (1543), became part of anatomy books. In particular, flaps became the tactile and visual tool that allowed, by progressively lifting individual flaps of paper (lift the flap), to represent the layered arrangement of organs and apparatuses of the human body. These movable devices, along with others (e.g., volvelle) widely employed especially in astronomy texts, became the educational complements of the new science. The paper reconstructs, through some significant samples, the evolution of interactive anatomical books up to the threshold of the 20th century. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

MEDICAL laboratories , *ELECTRONIC paper , *UNITS of measurement , *ACRONYMS , *SIMPLICITY , *HEALTH websites - Abstract
The report of the medical laboratory is the final result of the complex analytical activity that requires technology, automation, organization and competence. The content of the report has been defined since 2015, but the application of the legislative requirements is still incomplete. The need for interoperability of the medical laboratory reports in order to be easily accessible and understandable throughout Europe, increases the requirements for the development of standards for reporting of test names, units of measurement, qualitative expressions. The adoption of LOINC codes may improve interoperability, but the codes have to be used correctly and a stewardship from Scientific Societies is needed. The laboratory reports are moving from paper to electronic format, and this should help the readability and simplicity favoring the interpretation, but the increasing amount of data and information may make them more difficult to read. This aspect together with the rapid development of new analytical technologies increases the need for interpretative comments, that should be clear, avoid acronyms or excessive technical terms and tackle the real relevant aspects. Being the final product of our activity, the report deserves more attention from our profession. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

CHARTERS , *NOTARIES , *JUSTICES of the peace - Abstract
- Abstract
When narratives become fixed, not open to change or modification, they are expressions of stupidity, as described by Kohon, be it in pathology, psychoanalysis, political discourse, or the present upsurge of identity politics: a symbolic impoverishment that amounts to a collapse of thirdness. The longing for certitudes based on the illusion of completeness, present in all of us, is linked to the ideal ego, an archaic narcissistic fusion with an omnipotent mother. In our work, our identification with Freud as an ego ideal prevents any incestuous acting out of the transferential bond by introducing a symbolic third, difference, and the world of culture. Mark Solms' revision of the concept of drive represents the latest in a series of his indepth reviews of the most fundamental Freudian concepts. The movement of neuropsychoanalysis begun in 2000 with the first Congress focused precisely on a neuroscientific definition of affects and emotions. In 2013, Solms proposed a substantial and profound modification of Freud's structural model, motivating his theses which argue that the instinctual id can only be conscious. In the current paper, Solms (2021a) reaffirms and re-evaluates the centrality of drive theory in psychoanalysis and neuroscience as a starting point for understanding conscious and unconscious phenomena, in normality as well in pathology. EARLY memories , *DOCUMENTARY evidence , *SCHISM , *FAMILY assessment , *FAMILY constellations (Therapy) , *ADLERIAN psychology - Abstract
The biography of a person allows us to reconstruct his lifestyle, his personality, and this finds correspondence in his thought. The early recollections which, according to Adler, can provide valuable clues like projective tests and dreams cannot be considered a biography and, especially if taken from multiple sources, must be carefully screened and verified. If you don't do it, the Individual Psychology is banalized and discredited. Similarly, the important assessment of the position in the family constellation cannot be simplistically transferred to the fruitful contrast of ideas between Freud and Adler, especially now that there is documentary evidence of their debate and the schism of the psychoanalytic movement. Since the mid-1980s, Sándor Ferenczi's (1873-1933) theories have stirred up a lot of interest also in Italy and motivated the publication of both his scientific papers (of psychoanalytic as well as non-psychoanalytic topics) and his letters. However, a lot of material of both theoretical and historical interest still remains to be translated. Among the many instances of important material that has not been translated into Italian we can mention the third volume of the Freud-Ferenczi letters and the correspondence between Ferenczi and Ernest Jones, and many minor but quite interesting papers. Three of these documents are translated here into Italian for the first time: two short articles and a newly discovered letter. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Cassullo, Gabriele
- Abstract
Why psychoanalysts came to conceive what Howard Levine (2021) calls a "problematic either-or extremity" between conflict theories and developmental trauma theories? It is hypothesized that at the roots of the polarity between these two different clinical attitudes there is an "originary trauma", a trauma that can never reach a full and effective figurability: a trauma that cannot be represented. Such a trauma constituted the caesura that on the one hand has produced a progress on the intellectual level (in the history of psychoanalysis, the birth of the psychoanalytic theory of unconscious fantasy), but, on the other hand, at the price of creating the lack of development of an affective capacity, not only of a cognitive capacity, of listening the traumaticity within the patient's communications. - Abstract
After an epistemological reflection on the necessity of a metapsychology for psychoanalysis, it is pointed out that Howard B. Levine's (2021) representational hypothesis on the problem of trauma leads to rethinking its economic dimension in particular; this is especially true in the light of Freud's last theoretical developments around the concept of trauma and of the technical difficulties of a treatment based only on historical reconstruction. To the extent that trauma is linked to processes of psychic unbinding, it is important to develop a technique apt to repair and reconstruct the symbolic capacities of the patient's ego because of the severity of its structural impairment. Such a reflection implies fundamental questions on the validity of those approaches which, whether they emphasize the representational component or the affective one, are limited to pursuing only hermeneutic or cathartic purposes. 20. Gli articoli di Freud sulla tecnica: resoconto di una scoperta.

Friedman, Lawrence
- Abstract
Freud's Papers on Technique is commonly thought to collect various essays that reflect Freud's opinions about how a proper psychoanalyst should behave. Accordingly, today's analysts ask themselves whether - or how strictly - they should "obey" the Patriarch's hundred-year-old "rules". This mistakes the overall sense of the book as a book. Freud is reporting an extended, empirical experiment on a radically new type of (psychoanalytic) phenomenon that he had chanced upon. He tries to determine the variables that either provoke or dispel the phenomenon. He is not primarily concerned with theory, efficacy or comfort. The data are often unwelcome, and are thrust upon him. Freud's report is in the form of conditional assertions of fact, as though to say, "if you do X you will produce Y". He has found that the eliciting behaviors often run counter to normal social reflexes, so anyone wishing to reproduce the findings will need graphic alternatives as replacements. There for Freud conveys his results not so much by rules or values, as by metaphors and images that help an analyst adopt an attitude that elicits the phenomenon. Unfortunately, readers are generally unaware of the convergent aim of the book's explorations, though that is what gives those terms their sole and specific purpose. We see readers seize one or another of the papers, pull out this or that familiar cliché or metaphor, and give it whatever rationale they assume "it must have had". Since Freud provided these striking terms and images as aids in marshaling an un-definable and un-prescribable experience, uprooting them from their precise place in the inquiry turns guide-posts into loose lumber. The result is fruitless debate circling personal taste and opinion, and tragic loss of access to a delicate and unnatural experience that will never be encountered without a deliberate plan. - Abstract
The epidemiological impact and clinical consequences of obstructive sleep apnea have focused the attention of the sleep-dealing scientific community on this disorder. This document aims to emphasize the centrality of the physician with specific know-how, nurses and technicians during the diagnostic pathway, treatment and patient’s follow-up. The diagnostic pathway through cardio-respiratory monitoring or polysomnography during sleep must be customized and prescribed by an experienced physician in order to obtain a correct diagnosis, a personalized treatment and follow-up that allows to maintain an adequate adherence to the treatment over time. OSA is recognized as a complex and heterogeneous pathology and a diagnosis simply based on an AHI appears very reductive. There is a need to take into account at the same time the clinical-anamnestic aspect, the anatomical and the functional aspect to characterize the patient. A careful analysis of a polysomnographic exam or cardiorespiratory monitoring is able to provide pathophysiological information in order to obtain indices and patterns useful for an adequate patient treatment. OSA has multifactorial pathogenetic mechanism and this may explain why alternative treatments to CPAP have given different results to date, probably for inadequate patients characterization. Once it has been decided to treat the patient with CPAP, the pressure must be obtained by unloading the data from the card, interpreting the track when available, and not only by an automatic interpretation of the 90°-95° percentile of the pressure. Follow-up is an essential component in the management of the patient suffering from OSA as it allows to verify the appropriate adherence to treatment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The paper by Elizabeth Allison & Peter Fonagy (2016) “When is truth relevant?” (translated in issue no. 1/2020 of Psicoterapia e Scienze Umane) is discussed from the viewpoint of cognitive therapy, in particular of the recent cognitivist perspective influenced by the contributions of the Italian researchers Vittorio Guidano and Giovanni Liotti and by attachment theory. This new perspective within cognitive therapy includes a constructivist approach to knowledge and values the intersubjective dimension of mental processes, with an emphasis to the role of the therapeutic relationship in the treatment strategies. The theoretical and clinical aspects of a dialogue between the cognitivist and the psychodynamic approaches are discussed, in particular regarding the concepts of “truth” and “epistemic trust”; cognitivist and the psychodynamic approaches have specific differences, but old oppositions could be overcome and these two approaches can come closer to each other. He emphasizes the importance of Freud's concept of development, which is indispensable for explaining the shift towards "pregenitality", polymorphous perversion, "neo-sexuality" (McDougall) as well as the importance of the concept of protective barrier against stimuli (Reizschutz, Freud) and of mental trauma. As a psychoanalyst who is also passionate about cinema and theater, while discussing the clinical case of the agoraphobic patient he embraces the analogical suggestion between the "fear of open space" and the anxiety of the lack of the "fourth wall" on the stage. - Abstract
In her discussion of the paper by Sotiris Monolopoulos "Internalization process and a transference in a traumatized patient" the author is considering the clinical material from the point of view of the object relations and unconscious phantasies. The patient comes to analysis after a breakdown, wishing mainly to restore his inner balance - defensive structure, which makes extremely difficult for the analyst to establish a contact with him. The patient preserves the phantasy of relationship with a seductive object, who promises protection and food, only to then reject, betray and humiliate him; this picture justifies the patient's revengeful attacks - he then can ignore the reality of understanding and containment by the analyst. At the same time, the patient is in great need for the analyst though trying to use him perversely in the transference - without establishing and recognizing dependent relationship. However, the analyst is still associated with the hope for reparation of the damaged inner objects and getting out of the psychic retreat. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
As a discussant, the author tries to discern into the presented clinical material, and then to focus the attention of the reader of Ferhan Ozenen's impressive case presentation, on some repetitive transferential-countertransferential aspects in the dynamics of the analytic situation and process, which, if not being duly taken into account in the countertransference and through the reflection on the "role responsiveness" of the analyst, or not being opportunely pointed-out, constructed, and then interpreted and analysed in the transference, could lead to some massive regressive psychic movements in the patient and to a rather destructive acting-outs. In this sense, listening "beyond the contrapuntal psychic flow" to what has not been said in the sessions, through the lens of "listening of the analysand's listening", could be of great help for stimulating and enhancing the analyst's capacity and openness towards traumatic repetitions and transgenerational impacts. In the paper "Revision of drive theory" (Psicoterapia e Scienze Umane, 2022, 56, 3: 363-422) Mark Solms (2021a) correctly argues that the basic motivational forces are affect systems, activated following the general homeostatic principles that govern biological processes that assure survival and reproduction. However, psychoanalytic object relation theory points to a specifically human, supraordinate integrative motivational system that condenses component affect systems into the affiliative and counteraffiliative motivations described by Freud with the concepts of libido and aggression. They are not "drives" in the psychobiological sense, but profoundly define unconscious intrapsychic conflict and are relevant in clinical psychoanalysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The issue of the educational value of the memory of some past events is important for pedagogy, not only because of the consolidated presence of some fixed appointments (such as the Day of Memory and that of Remembrance), but for reasons that can constitute a pedagogy of memory. Among the events that left deep traces in the imagination of the social community of Longarone there is the Vajont disaster, which occurred on October 9, 1963. In this paper you will learn more about the pedagogical reasons and the general structure of an educational project that has led to a series of educational and didactic actions with classes of all schools, of all levels, in the municipality of Longarone. The research project was carried out in collaboration with numerous stakeholders, including the City Administration, Educational Institutions and some voluntary associations, as well as a witness who was present at the time of the Vajont disaster. - Abstract
Hackers and digital activists have fully entered the wars waged with digital propaganda, electronic sabotage, cyber espionage and software hacking tools. DDoS attacks, malware, ransomware, but also algorithms, deepfakes, trolls and bots are their weapons. This is how they participate in the hybrid war fought among States. In this scenario, it is alleged that the techniques for manipulating perceptions that exploit digital tools are fully included among the weapons of hybrid warfare, as they are capable of influencing the reactivity of the adversary. In this regard we speak of Cognitive War. This also means that information campaigns are no longer based only on traditional media, but also on digital media, social platforms and direct messaging channels. Among the tools of these campaigns, those of computational propaganda, used to change the mindset of the target, to generate fear, uncertainty, and doubt, are increasingly arousing the concerns of States. The reason is easy to understand: where public opinion is able to influence the choices of the warring parties, manipulation can change the phases of the conflict. In this paper we will try to describe the techniques of computational propaganda and how hacker activists and State hackers can use them. Indeed, in the global election year ahead of us, 2024, computational propaganda could represent a risk for the democratic process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The paper draws attention to the pervasiveness of online hate speech in the social web, meaning all oppressive and discriminatory forms of expression and socialization. The recent data report a strong polarization and radicalization of the phenomenon. In this perspective, as recommended in some documents issued by the European Institutions, we highlight the need for networking that starts from strengthening the skills of training professionals necessary to know how to prevent and counter the phenomenon, creating "bottom-up" experiences that through the constructs of media education and peer education can promote the development of digital citizenship skills and belonging to a global humanity in favor of the protection of human rights. This paper wants illustrate a methodological deliberation about teacher training based on the union between literature and theatre in order to achieve the literaly catharsis. Starting from an examination of the essential elements of this idea (theatre, literature and catharsis) the paper introduces a suggestion for teacher training as theater training where the link between reality, culture and live works to overcome the common point of view of theatre only as a show at school. - Abstract
This paper describes the relationship between poverty and digital illiteracy. The problem of the digital divide, which affects people living in disadvantaged conditions, especially those on low incomes, refers to critical factors such as illiteracy and digital exclusion. The increasing diffusion of technologies is progressively reinforcing the exclusion of certain socially disadvantaged groups, especially in terms of access and relevance of technology use. In fact, data show that where poverty rates increase, digital literacy is lower, as poorer people are less likely to be involved in literacy processes and to acquire skills that enable them to interact with the digital world. So, while digital represents a real opportunity for those most at risk of poverty, it also tends to penalise them, creating digitally disadvantaged subgroups. With the increasing digital integration in society, production, education, and everyday life, we are witnessing changes on an unprecedented scale. The paper focuses on the causes of digital inequalities and the inclusive policies that countries, governments, and institutions should offer to the whole population, especially socially disadvantaged groups, to improve access and use of digital technologies. The Istituto Idrografico della Marina, founded in Genoa in 1872, is responsible for the national hydrographic service and the production of the official nautical documentation, both paper and digital, relating to Italian seas. Today the cartography is entirely produced with the help of the computer and sent to users in digital format or printed on special kinds of paper via digital machines: in short, the process has been strongly standardized and industrialized, losing part of the romantic and of craftsmanship aura it had in the past. The electronic cartographic portfolio published by the Istituto Idrografico consists of 262 charts and is splitted for navigation purposes, ranging from large-scale maps of Italian territorial waters, coasts and main ports, to small-scale maps covering all the Mediterranean and the Black Sea. 37. Una conferenza di Freud su Leonardo da Vinci.

- Abstract
Freud’s lecture given on December 1, 1909, at the Vienna Psychoanalytic Society on Leonardo da Vinci is examined. This lecture is a forerunner of his later article Leonardo da Vinci and a Memory of his Childhood (Freud, 1910b). An attempt is made to emphasize the inconsistency between Freud’s hypotheses and the historical data by then at his disposal. Avoiding entering Freud’s vulture slip that many scholars have pointed out and Freud never acknowledged, concerns are expressed about Freud’s required documentation in the field of art history and about the method he employed for the portrayal of Leonardo da Vinci’s personality. It seems that Freud willingly avoided historical data choosing almost entirely to rely on applied psychoanalysis widely employing his own phantasies in attempting to overcome the paucity of knowledge on Leonardo da Vinci’s childhood. Freud himself later acknowledged that his 1910 paper was partly a fictional story along the lines of Mereskovskij’s 1895 book on Leonardo. A crucial inconsistency of this lecture, that will not be amended in his paper of 1910, relates to the fact that Freud changed into a phantasy what Leonardo had reported as a childhood memory. Many scholars have taken for granted this shift so that they talked about Leonardo’s “phantasy” or “dream”. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The paper describes specific usage scenarios of an innovative platform, interfacing users, monitoring, and simulations for building energy simulations and the computation of key performance indicators to support, in an interoperable and open vision, design and management choices exploiting the enabling capabilities of ICT in architecture. The modularity of the proposed solution allows the development of pre-defined usage scenarios for professionals: impact of modifications in technological design choices, model calibration, and performance gap between simulated and monitored building data. The paper faces some new architectural usage scenarios of the tool, considering its enabling capabilities, and focuses on the tool's components developed and tested in the EU H2020 E-DYCE project. If the materials preserved in the archives of popular writing (letters, diaries, memoirs, autobiographies, postcards, photographs, etc.) make it possible to rethink and reconstruct the great events of the past from the point of view of those who experienced and suffered them first hand, through which tools will it be possible to rethink and reconstruct the present time? What will be the future of the archives of popular writing? Will they begin to focus on collecting new types of personal testimonies? This paper presents an exploratory study aimed at understanding whether the use of digital platforms favours the performance of uses and educational activities comparable to those developed through the use of the writings of ordinary people. Specifically, attention has been paid to Instagram and its use in the digital age in order to verify whether content published in the form of stories and/or posts could be recognised as possible didactic tools aimed at 'educating' about historical knowledge. - Abstract
Track circuits (TC) are special electrical circuits composed in part of the rails of the tracks, Electrical signals are circulated in them by which it is possible to determine the status of free (no rolling stock) or occupied (rolling stock presence) within a controlled portion of track can be determined. They therefore represent a fundamental element of the Control command and Signalling Sub-System (CCS) whose operation has a significant impact on the safety and regularity of railway operations. In this paper, the problem of proper TC modeling and simulation setup for the purposes of the issues of interest to be analyzed will be addressed. The discussion will analyze several case studies of interest for Class B systems referring further ones to subsequent publications. The method presented here, excluding the electrical modeling part of the track, consists of a generic method developed by the author during his experience on the topic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The Viennese historian Johannes Reichmayr has edited the Collected Works of the psychoanalyst Paul Parin (1916-2009) in 19 volumes, published by the Viennese publisher Mandelbaum from 2018 to 2024. A pioneer of ethnopsychoanalysis, Parin has lived psychoanalysis as a form of social critique and political action, whose gradual and systematic articulation comes out very clearly from his Collected Works. Parin’s works are reconstructed in great detail in the context of his life, of the Zurich Psychoanalytic Seminar (PSZ) founded by him, and of his close collaboration with the journal Psicoterapia e Scienze Umane. The same is true for his successful literary activity, and for his participation in political life, documented as they are by a whole series of autobiographical papers and by various collections of letters, as it is shown also in the light of volumes 9 and 10, the latter being centered around “The burning problems of our times” [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The paper offers a review of the development of the work of Alberto Manzi, pedagogue, television teacher and children's book writer. Beginning with some choices made in the production of the well-known RAI program "Non è mai troppo tardi," it shows how the "maestro degli italiani" set much of his work focusing on the importance of the image as a medium in relation to the written and spoken word. The educator thus anticipated fundamental themes such as that of visual literacy, particularly decisive in a historical period in which visual media erode the secular power of print, basing his reflection on studies not only pedagogical but also iconological and mediological. - Abstract
The paper aims to analyse the opportunity to promote the scholastic inclusion of pupils, through physical education. In the first instance, the historical process that has seen the transition from the concept of school integration of pupils with disabilities to that of inclusion through the introduction of regulations suitable for protecting the educational needs of each one will be explored. The potential of physical education will be explored through the structuring of new ways of designing and managing educational practice as an exercise of active and inclusive citizenship. Attention will also be focused on the mind-body binomial, with a view to the potential of the Embodied Cognition paradigm, which can take on a formative and pedagogically significant value, both by soliciting all those components of an expressive-communicative nature that support the union between body, mind, emotion, cognition and environment, and to further qualify inclusive processes in the context of ordinary teaching. This paper aims to investigate the heuristic value of utopia and dystopia for teachers' pedagogical reflection. In this context, the Future Lab methodology appears to be a potential tool for supporting the creation of “spaces of meaning”: rest areas from a bulimic present to interrupt the performance loop and restore meaning to one's actions. To complement the work, insights derived from an action research project involving several high school teachers will be presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The gap between junior high school and college is still a critical point within the educational debate. It is embodied in the lack of education and preparation for academic study within high school. In contrast, recent studies such as those of Chambers (2020) and O'Connor (2011) have shown how the interaction and presence of the university within educational institutions can bring progress on both sides. The goal of the following paper is to demonstrate how-in an Italian L2 context-it is possible to achieve results from both an educational and training perspective, using a method such as Service Learning. This is method that makes the community - together with the students and the university - an actor within the learning process. Preliminary research conducted at the University for Foreigners in Perugia is presented here. To collect data, a questionnaire consisting of objective and subjective items was administered to students, which were then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The data were represented graphically. From the analysis of the data, it is shown that the Service-Learning method could be useful and effective in linking educational institutions of various levels and achieving results in the continuing education of the individual.
