As the COVID-19 pandemic prevails, research related to COVID-19 has spread beyond medicine, health science, and biology to almost all academic fields. Library and information science is one of the most active fields that publish COVID-19-related research papers. This study examined 696 research papers related to COVID-19 whose journal being categorized as "information science & library science" by Web of Science. The result of bibliometric analysis showed that the publications were active and on the rise. Most papers were published in English and produced in the United States. According to the keyword clustering map produced by semantic network analysis, two fields, bibliometrics and health communication, were publishing research papers related to COVID-19 most actively. Moreover, the most productive journal was a library and information science journal focusing on health informatics. Additionally, a tendency was found that researchers preferred to publish on journals with high impact factors. Compared with non-COVID-19-related research papers, there was a significant decrease of "time for acceptance" of COVID-19-related papers, and the proportion of open access was relatively high. Confronting the global crisis of COVID-19, the library and information science field also made efforts and challenges to resolve the slow peer-review, delayed publishing, and high paywalls, which have been recognized as a "chronic diseases" of the academic publishing ecosystem. Bibliometric research focuses on the analysis of the bibliographic indicators quantitatively. It is a useful way for classifying information according to different variables, including journals, institutions and countries. This paper presents a general overview of research conducted in the field of process capability using bibliometric indicators. The main advantage of the current study is that the bibliometric indicators provide a broad picture and identify some of the most influential research conducted in the area of process capability. The analysis is divided into key sections focused on relevant journals, research papers, authors, institutions and countries. Web of Science (WOS) databases is the source of data for carrying out this bibliometric analysis. The study reveals that W.L. Pearn and C.W. Wu. are the two most influential authors in process capability research. On the other hand, Journal of Quality Technology, and Quality and Reliability Engineering International are the two most influential journals for publishing process capability researches. Studies in the sociopolitics of archaeology have shown patterns of inequality in publishing. Because this inequality affects the richness of perspectives on the past, the extent of unevenness requires continual documentation. This article explores gendered and institutionally based patterns of authorship in prominent archaeology journals, archaeology papers in general science journals, and Sapiens, a public-facing web magazine, from 2016 to 2021. We find that the representation of women is similar across these two types of journals, for authors both in the United States and abroad. Men still publish significantly more than women though the gap is narrowing due to the publication activity of recent PhDs. Using a large database of PhDs as a baseline for comparison, we find that women publish less in these venues than expected, resulting in an imbalance. Some archaeology programs have a larger presence in journal publishing than others, but this imbalance is not as pervasive as what has been observed in hiring practices. Purpose: There is an abundance of articles published on low–grade glioma. The aim of this study was to identify and review the 50 most-cited articles on low-grade glioma, and to perform a bibliometric analysis. Methods: In June 2017, we performed a basic search of the Web of Science database using "low-grade glioma management and/or treatment" as our search terms without publication date restrictions. The top 50 most-cited articles were obtained and reviewed. Results: The top 50 most-cited articles received a mean 195 citations per paper, with 571 citations being the most and 81 citations being the least. Publication dates ranged from 1992 to 2013. The articles were published in 17 journals and Journal of Neurosurgery published the greatest number of articles (10 of 50), followed by Journal of Clinical Oncology (9 of 50). The most frequent study categories were natural history studies (19 of 50) and laboratory studies (13 of 50). Neurosurgery as a specialty contributed to 22 articles. The majority of the articles originated in the United States (44%). Plasma levels of curcumin and its metabolites curcumin glucuronide and curcumin sulfate were determined over a 48-hour time frame. The data demonstrated that the novel nano-micellar formulation enhanced curcumin plasma levels by over 400 X as compared to unformulated curcumin. In the United States, Reader's Digest was a major contributor to the mobilization of World War II, mobilizing American women to work in the industry and advocating that men should go to the front, articulating later also the demobilization of women and their return to their homes. In the Brazilian context, Seleções do Reader's Digest - working with a US material selection - also contributed to the different ways which gender roles during the conflict years were presented to Brazilian readers along the lines of the policies implemented in the United States. Therefore, the focus of this paper will be on how these roles were articulated in both countries, between 1941 and 1945, based on articles published by both periodicals. Taking as a theoretical perspective the Gender Studies, especially the biases established by scholars such as Susan Hartmann and Joanne Meyerowitz, and focusing on the concept of representation, as conceived by Roger Chartier, the work aims to list possible differences regarding the call for women, pointing out the different ways in which they participated in the war effort, either at homefront or on the battlefield. Recently, the androgen receptor has been found as a potential prognostic index and therapeutic target for breast cancer. To reveal the current research status and hotspots in this area, we analyzed the characteristics of related publications from 2011 to 2020. All related publications from 2011 to 2020 were retrieved from the Web of Science. Biblioshiny, VOSviewer, and CiteSpace V were applied to obtain the information on annual publications and citations, the highest yielding countries and authors, influential journals and articles, as well as hot keywords. In total, 2,118 documents, including 1,584 original articles and 534 reviews, were retrieved. Annual publication output was rich from 2014 to 2018, reaching the top in 2017. A systematic review written by Lehman et al. in 2011 was the most-cited document and reference. The United States was the leading country with the maximum number of publications, citations, and link strengths with other countries. The journal publishing the most was Oncotarget. Lehmann was the author who had the highest link strengths with other authors. The most highlighted keywords were "androgen receptor" (n = 1,209), "breast cancer" (n = 690), "expression" (n = 545), "breast cancer" (n = 410), "prostate cancer" (n = 290), and so on, revealing the trend from molecular mechanism level to therapeutic use level. The androgen receptor plays a significant role in the development of breast cancers, whereas its therapeutic value seems to be controversial and needs further study. The present paper is about the role of media in creating anti-American and anti-Western sentiments amongst Iranians. It studies how anti-Americanism has evolved in Iran and how, as an ideological representation, has influenced the press portrayal of the West in the country. It also identifies dominant frames in newspaper reporting of the West and indicates how the perception of reality and meaning-construction work in mainstream Iranian newspapers. For this purpose, content analysis and critical discourse analysis are used to analyse sampled news items published during Reformism (1997–2001) and Conservatism (2005–2009) in Iran. The current study also evaluates the impact of political affiliation of newspapers (as the first independent variable) and the political period in which they are published (as the second independent variable) on the representation of the West (as the dependent variable) in Iran. Sclerostin antibody (romosozumab) was recently approved for clinical use in the United States to treat osteoporosis. We and others have explored Wnt‐based combination therapy to disproportionately improve the anabolic effects of sclerostin inhibition, including cotreatment with sclerostin antibody (Scl‐mAb) and Dkk1 antibody (Dkk1‐mAb). To determine the optimal ratio of Scl‐mAb and Dkk1‐mAb for producing maximal anabolic action, the proportion of Scl‐mAb and Dkk1‐mAb were systematically varied while holding the total antibody dose constant. A 3:1 mixture of Scl‐mAb to Dkk1‐mAb produced two to three times as much cancellous bone mass as an equivalent dose of Scl‐mAb alone. Further, a 75% reduction in the dose of the 3:1 mixture was equally efficacious to a full dose of Scl‐mAb in the distal femur metaphysis. The Scl‐mAb/Dkk1‐mAb combination approach was highly efficacious in the cancellous bone mass, but the cortical compartment was much more subtly affected. Introduction: Articles are retracted due to scientific misconduct and serious errors. The current study aimed to analyze the retracted articles in Endocrinology Metabolism journals during 1990- 2017. Methods. This applied study was conducted by using scientometric indicators with a descriptive approach. The sample of the study comprised of 106 retracted articles published in 45 Web of Science-indexed journals of Endocrinology Metabolism. Results. The findings indicated that, on average, 2.35 Retraction Notices were published per journal. The average retraction index was 0.65. Duplicate publication and manipulation were the most common reasons for retraction and accounted for 29 and 23 retractions. The median time from publication of the original article to retraction was 49.4 months. The most retracted articles (n= 42) belonged to the United States. Conclusion. Scientific misconduct and retractions in endocrinology and metabolism, as a clinical discipline, is alarming. Therefore, publishers, editors, and reviewers are required to pay more attention to publication ethics and enhance researchers’ awareness of research misconduct. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article analyzes America Today , a United States Information Service publication circulated to Southeast Asian Chinese between 1949 and 1952. Although the federal government had no intention of lifting immigration restrictions, the magazine promoted the idea that the United States provided humanitarian assistance and abundant opportunities to Chinese immigrants as well as their American-born Chinese counterparts to achieve upward mobility, form a conjugal family, and enjoy patriarchal authority. The stories demonstrated an attempt to inspire Chinese male readers in Southeast Asia to support the United States and the "free world," rather than Communism and the People's Republic of China. Introduction: There has been a surge in robotic surgery research publications over the past 20 years. However, to date, there has been no characterization of urology's contribution to the robotic field, and there is a lack of bibliometric literature to guide future investigation. We conducted this bibliometric analysis to characterize the distributions and characteristics of robotic surgery research in the urologic field, with subanalysis of the top 100 articles. Materials and Methods: The Web of Science Core Collection of the ISI Web of Science was searched and analyzed to determine distributions and characteristics of robotic urologic surgery research. The top 100 articles were categorized by urologic subfield and organ of pathology, with a level of evidence rating system applied (adapted from the Centre of Evidence-Based Medicine). Results: The total number of articles retrieved was 1294 from 1999 to 2018. The number of articles published in the last decade has increased by 845.75%, with 153 articles published in the preceding decade. The United States leads countries in publication with 699 (54.02%) articles across the field, and 71 within the top 100 articles. The Journal of Endourology published most articles (n = 292, 22.57%) within the field, while European Urology published most (n = 36) within the top 100 articles. Top 100 articles where generally associated with cancer (n = 76), with prostate cancer dominating literature (n = 38). The most common level of evidence for top 100 articles was that of a level 3 study (n = 31). Conclusions: This analysis of research activity has the potential to guide future robotic surgery research trends in the field of urology. Objective: To provide a historical analysis through the examination of trends in type of articles, content areas, and population groups across all issues of the Journal of Pediatric Psychology (JPP).Method: All articles published in JPP between the years 1976-2015 were coded based on article type (e.g., original research, meta-analysis), content code (e.g., adherence, primary care), and population code (e.g., oncology, chronic and recurrent pain). Descriptive statistics were calculated.Results: The overall top article types, content codes, and population codes are described as well as top codes for each decade. Overall, the majority of articles were classified as original research. Although some population and content codes varied over time, there were some areas that were consistently present throughout issues, including family systems, cognitive/intellectual functioning, pediatric oncology, and type 1 diabetes. Many topics selected for special issues and topics were consistent with top population and content codes.Conclusions: Findings indicate that most top areas have consistently been present in JPP over the 39-year period. Purpose -- This study aims to examine Public Knowledge Project (PKP) Open Journal Systems (OJS) for its overall web accessibility and compliance with the Federal Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility and Compliance Act, also known as Section 508. Design/methodology/approach -- Twenty-one individual web pages in the CSUN test instance of PKP's OJS version 2.4.0 used in three back-end journal development user roles were examined using three web-accessibility tools (WAVE, Fangs, Functional Accessibility Evaluator). Errors in accessibility were then logged and mapped to specific Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) criteria. Findings -- In all, 202 accessibility errors were reported across the 21 OJS pages selected for testing. Because of this, the OJS cannot be efficiently utilized by assistive technologies and therefore does not pass the minimal level of acceptability as described in the WCAG 2.0. However, the authors found that the types of errors reported in this study could be simply and effectively remedied. Research limitations/implications -- Further studies will need to corroborate, on a larger scale, the problems of accessibility found in the specific pages. Only three user roles were examined; other roles will need to be analyzed for their own problems with accessibility. Finally, although specific errors were noted, most can be easily fixed. Practical implications -- There is an important need for accessible software design. In the case of CSUN, one of the campus partners will be better served by improving the web accessibility of the authors' online open access journals. Originality/value -- Although many studies and analyses of Section 508 compliance of front-facing web resources have been conducted, very few appear to address the back-end of such tools.
