The article focuses on the relevance of conducting a biographical research paper at Westminster to be able to promote the importance of information literacy in the First Year Experience (FYE) course in the U.S. The FYE program of Westminster focuses on three course such as the writing, oral communication and inquiry. The course intends to develop the students ability to practice the values used in the liberal arts education. The FYE program was implemented by assigning students to gather information on the person chosen for their research. The assignment allowed the students to find books and use circulating collection to accomplish the task.
