Subcontractors have benefited from the increase in downtown construction projects in St. Louis, Missouri. Construction projects include The Laurel, One City Centre and the Park Pacific. The projects will provide a combine 1,600 construction jobs.

Stacy Hastie, chief executive officer of Environmental Operations Inc., has taken ownership of One City Centre and Arcade, two of the troubled properties in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The buildings were sold through foreclosure, with Hastie bidding for Arcade for $9 million and bidding for Once City Centre with an investor group for $12.7 million.

Freeman Homes has spent more than $11 million to purchase more than 100 homes and lots in Sunset Hills, Missouri in an attempt to boost presence in local homebuilding market.
